I want to share something, for my internship at college I'm working in a community center that is dedicated to go to schools to teach classes about emotions and assertive communication, drug abuse prevention, sex educatio, etc.
Today I was in a classroom with sixth graders talking about strong emotions that we have felt for things we have achieved and done in life, a boy raised his hand and said that when he cut his hair the way he wanted and started wearing the clothes he likes to wear, he was afraid that others were going to make fun of him and that the adults would keep calling him by his girl's name. He went on to say that for months he wouldn't correct teachers when they called him by his former name, or say anything when they referred to him as "girl" until one day his best friend corrected a teacher by telling them that he is a boy and shouldn't be called by a name that was not his
His voice broke and my eyes began to tear up, at the end he explained to me that the biggest and strongest feeling he has felt so far is happiness and pride now that everyone calls him by his real name, the one he chose.
This is the first time I've heard a story like this in any of the schools I have been to, I told him again that he should feel proud and it was perfect that he was already proud, I thanked him for sharing that with me and in front of the class and asked him for a hug (I needed it more than he did) it really hugged my heart the way he told the story and he finished saying that he loves being himself with a huge smile on his face, which I could see through his eyes because he was wearing a mask
I don't know if I really want to get at something or end this with a lesson, I just know that I hope he continues to feel always happy and never feels afraid to be himself again, we have to protect queer childhoods and let them be what they are, just kids being themselves 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️💖

Ancient Indian Education System Vs. Modern Indian Education System
Tumblr media
India has ancient roots when it comes to education. India's ancient education heritage is the largest globally, with a history of over 4500 years.
As per research conducted by schools in Mumbai it was impossible to set up formal institutions for learning in ancient times, considering the limitations of a lack of roads and mass migration of peoples from one region to another. Instead, education in India was a domestic affair in families that moved from one place to another.
By reading this article, you will know a lot of facts about the Education System In Ancient India, education in our time, and how we can improve the education system.
Ancient Indian Education System
The ancient Indian education system was based on the 4 Cs (Cadiz, Culture, Care of the Elderly, and Charity). A student's performance in different fields was taken into account before awarding them a degree or certificate. There were no institutions for the advancement of professional studies.
Another survey done by schools in Pune shows that the present Indian education system is based on examination. It is not based on the reward of effort and skill development. Hence only the educational institutions are growing, not the educated faculty.
The education system in ancient India was ever so famous for its comparatively low fees, relatively low parental involvement, no school uniforms, no school bags, comprehensive sex education, spiritual orientation, flexibility (no age limit), co-education (boys and girls sat together), no prerequisites…etc.
The children of ancient India had straightforward yet natural learning methods. They had the liberty to use their imagination to learn the lessons of life. Education in India is perhaps one of the oldest continuing traditions on Earth. Some historians even speculate that it dates back before recorded history began 50000 years ago.
The ancient Indian Education System had a good quality of teachers. Critical discipline was given to the students, which is very useful for their future lives.
Modern Education System In India
The modern Indian educational system is the one that came into existence in its current form in the mid 19th Century. The early efforts to build a modern school system for India began during the British East India Company's rule in the latter part of the 18th Century. It was formalized under British Raj in the early 19th Century.
The education system that we see today is a product of manifold efforts and contributions from various people and institutions both nationally and internationally.
While aspects like gender equality, technology integration, and community participation could still use some improvement, people mostly agree that the Indian educational system is one of the best.
The Modern Indian Education System has to change with time and become more beneficial for the future. We suggest that the curriculum should be based on real-life situations and skills.
Schools should be set to make children happy and free from tensions, and schools should be such as to develop students as well as individuals who can achieve success in whatever field they choose.
Ancient VS Modern Education System In India
There are many differences between the ancient Indian education system and the modern Indian education system. Sikhism is a major world religion, virtually unknown to the Western world until the October 1983 pageant of the Golden Temple at Amritsar. Sikhism was founded by Guru Nanak, born in Hindu stock but disillusioned with Hinduism.
The Gurus preached against ritual purity, idol worship, caste distinctions, the sacrifice of animals, fasting, pilgrimages, asceticism, and celibacy. Sikhism evolved into a progressive force that successfully united Hindus and Muslims against Mughal rule. It accepted Muslims as well as Hindus into it.
India has had a rich history of education right from ancient times. The modern educational system of India evolved from the old Indian education system. The traditional Indian education system did not have much scope for further studies after the school level.
Now the present-day higher education has come to India with a completely new structure, curriculum, method of learning, and more.
Conclusion
Today both the modern and ancient educational systems are at extremes. While one is swinging towards total commercialization, the other is still depending on morality.
The current system has failed to fulfill its purpose of providing knowledge, and it fails to answer the questions like 'how I should be?' When does it make sense to improve something which is already perfect?

Vibrators are the Way of the Future When It Comes to Sexual Health
Tumblr media
Despite the fact that enjoyment is inextricably linked to good health, most medical professionals, hospitals, and insurance providers do not view vibrators as a reliable source of healthcare. One in two people claimed that their doctor had never stressed the significance of sexual health and that they didn't think their doctors even advocated for it as a component of overall wellness. In order to assess their interest in, familiarity with, and experience with vibrators and physical health, we recently polled over 300 Americans. The findings highlight the need for significant healthcare reform, with two out of every three people believing vibrators can help with sexual problems and a vast majority wanting their doctor to prescribe them for pain. The sexual health of tomorrow is now. And, dare I say it, vibrators are the way of the future for sexual health. The study's findings reveal a startling disconnect between the reality of sexual function and access to healthcare: 53 percent of people disagree that their primary care physician promotes sexual health. Europe sex movies
More than 76 percent of people have never had a doctor or other healthcare provider discuss the significance of sexual health with them. 32 percent were unsure, while 66% thought vibrators could help with incontinence and other problems as well as sexual dysfunction. Nearly 76 percent said they would feel comfortable with a doctor recommending it. If allowed, more than 73 percent of respondents said they would use FSA or HSA funds to purchase a vibrator. 96% of those surveyed say they have never had a doctor prescribe or recommend a vibrator for them. Only 3% of those surveyed have ever received a doctor's recommendation to use a vibrator for sexual health.
Why is there such a divide between sexual health resources like vibrators and the medical community given the increased focus on the significance of sexual health and wellness over the past ten years? Could it be that vibrators are viewed as luxury goods rather than necessities? The irony is that, despite the fact that vibrators were originally developed by Victorian doctors (Mortimer Granville, anyone?) to treat medical conditions rather than female hysteria, they still have enormous health advantages. The vast majority of participants in the sexual health survey stated that they used their vibrator to help with sexual arousal, reduce stress, and ease pelvic pain. The disconnect might also be brought on by the ongoing stigma associated with female sexuality, which makes it difficult to obtain funding for research and education, including enlightening the medical community and updating medical texts.
Most healthcare providers ignore the pain and health issues of women due to widespread gender bias in the industry. As a result, most cases of chronic pain are diagnosed in women. The root of the issue is a historical dearth of inclusive research and attention to female-specific health issues. The prevalence of sexual dysfunction is higher in women than in men. Over 86.5 percent of menopausal women in the US experience sexual problems. 42 percent of women didn't know there were treatment options, and 77% felt uncomfortable seeking medical care.
Women who regularly use vibrators, such as Crescendo, report higher levels of sexual satisfaction than non-users, including increased blood flow, increased lubrication, and increased sexual desire. Contrary to hormone replacement therapy and other forms of intervention for sexual wellness, 71.5 percent of women reported no adverse symptoms related to vibrator use. The growing body of research demonstrating that vibrators are useful tools for preventing and treating sexual health issues cannot be refuted by cunning marketing or popular opinion. Despite the scientific proof, far too many medical professionals are still ignorant of the advantages of sexual health products. These figures point to an epidemic-scale issue with major institutions' fundamental lack of education regarding sexual wellness and health.
When you consider who is raising the alarm (hint: it's not just sexual wellness companies), the disconnect becomes more intriguing. According to the World Health Organization, having access to sexual health care and sexual health information is a fundamental human right. In keeping with this, the Centers for Disease Control created and published the following definition of sexual health that is advised for use in the United States: "Sexual health is a state of well-being in relation to sexuality across the life span that involves physical, emotional, mental, social, and spiritual dimensions. Sexual health is an intrinsic part of human health and is based on a positive, equitable, and respectful approach to sexuality, relationships, and reproduction."
The Surgeon General issued a Call to Action to promote sexual health 20 years ago, stating that "we, as a nation, must address the significant public health challenges regarding the sexual health of our citizens." We also need to understand that there are undesirable consequences as well—alarmingly high levels of sexually transmitted disease (STD)...unintended pregnancy, abortion, sexual dysfunction, and when governing bodies begin bringing up the sexual health debate, that should serve as a yardstick for paradigm shifts. Even though things have changed for the better, there is still a sizable accessibility gap in healthcare. One significant paradigm shift has occurred since the Surgeon General's 2001 Call to Action: sexual technology, or sextech as it is affectionately known
Although it is a complex subject that involves intimacy and pleasure, sexual health isn't always easy for everyone. Since pleasure is a fundamental human right, pain is the biggest impediment, sexual health is crucial to overall health and wellness. Companies that specialize in sexual technology are aware of how technology's fusion with sexuality can elevate and improve our enjoyment of pleasure and wellness. Vibrators, such as Crescendo, are potent assistive technologies that give people with disabilities, sexual dysfunction, age restrictions, or other life circumstances the opportunity to experience pleasure, sometimes for the first time.
According to a study on the efficacy of Crescendo as a therapy system for Genito-Pelvic Pain & Penetration Disorder, participant pain scores improved by 480 percent. If that percentage seems improbable, it's because GPPPD has never experienced an improvement like it. The study was presented at the 22nd meeting of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America. The need to take vibrators seriously as medical resources can be seen in the numbers. Genito-pelvic pain affects 1 in 10 women, and treatment options are as scarce as access to care. Currently, the majority of women with GPPPD do not receive the right kind of care.
Vibrators and sexual health are left out of the bigger picture of health, and this has painful consequences. Vibrators are the future of sexual health. The writing is on the wall. It won't be long before healthcare trends shift in favor of inclusive sexuality, and when that happens, everyone will get free vibrators! Okay, so maybe that's just a pipe dream, but in the near future, your insurance provider might let you use your FSA or HSA funds to purchase a vibrator like the Crescendo that relieves period pain, pelvic floor discomfort, or menopausal symptoms.

Japanese woman sold to Korean farmer by the FFWPU
Tumblr media
▲ Seoul, South Korea, August 14, 2012: Japanese members of the Unification Church/FFWPU bow as an act of apology for the wartime Korean sex slavery conducted by the Japanese military. Liberation Day in Korea falls on August 15. It is the anniversary celebration of Korea’s liberation from Japanese colonial rule in 1945. This rally was held the day before.
A 20-year-old woman was recruited by the church of Sun Myung Moon and Hak Ja Han in Japan, and then was sold to an older Korean farmer in an “apology marriage”. He was not a member; he just wanted to buy a wife.
PLEASE RETURN MY SISTER WHO IS IN SOUTH KOREA
1.  Ms. Nameless  Posted: 2001/10/25 ID:FFmOrZXZ
I want to write about my experience here as my serious warning to all Japanese women. Please note, everything I write about from this point is true!!
My elder sister, who was bright and pretty, got involved with a Korean woman and developed an interest in the country of South Korea.
Then she was taken away to South Korea where she became a virtual slave.
You might say “You are so silly!” But this story is true. The tricks used are surprisingly clever, and thousands of Japanese women have already been taken away to South Korea through this scheme.
Now, I want to reveal their dirty tricks. I want to bring this to the attention of all Japanese women, so they can be careful. And again I want to say that this is based on my actual experience. I would like to sincerely ask you not to interfere with the warning I am going to put on this website.
It all started three years ago.
“I met some Korean people and we became friends.” It all began with these words from my sister. She was in her junior year at university when a female Korean student sat next to her on a bench on campus and started to talk to her. The two of them soon became close friends. I also met that Korean student several times and I had a good impression of her. She was courteous and seemed to be a nice person. I heard that she was a member of a peace organization.
2.  Now I really regret that I was not more aware of what was going on at that time. My sister had begun to attend “Culture Classes” given by the peace organization that she had been introduced to by the Korean student. According to my sister, the class was “to learn about peace”. In the class she watched many videos and then listened to lectures.
Although the name of the class was “learning about peace”, the contents were only about “how the Japanese tormented the Koreans”. After watching such videos for hours and hours, they then listened to lecturers from the organization – and the topic was always “How the Japanese people have never compensated for their crimes and always speak irresponsibly”.
One day my sister had a pale face. She explained to me “the Japanese army forced 150 Korean comfort women to stand in a line and they cut off their heads one by one. Then they made a soup from the severed heads – and forced other comfort women to eat this soup ……”
I was shocked by the story, but at the same time it sounded “exaggerated” to me – so I got suspicious.
While continuing to attend the culture classes, my sister’s attitude gradually changed. She began to repeatedly say, with desperate expressions on her face, “I’m so ashamed that I was born Japanese,” or “the Japanese people must make amends to the Korean people right now,” or “the current Japanese prosperity is founded on the sacrifices the Korean people [were forced to make during the Japanese occupation of their country].” She completely forgot about her university studies and started to study the Korean language.
Tumblr media
▲ A poster promoting Japanese women available for marriage. It was affixed in a South Korean farming village. Marriages were then officiated by Sun Myung Moon in a mass marriage held in Seoul. Translation of the poster (Korean on the left and Japanese on the right):
True Marriage to a Japanese Woman

(Previously married men and women, now single, must be aged 60 or less)
Ideal spouse with a chaste sense of values.
We will match you up.
True Family Practice in conjunction with ◯◯ Committee
Consultation phone Counselor / Consultation Staff
3.  Then my sister said, “I want to go to Korea to apologize to the Korean people in the Korean language”.
I did not think it was necessary for her to go, but on the other hand I thought it was good to make international friends. I didn’t take it seriously enough.
One day, my sister told me that I should also study the Korean language. I asked her why. She answered, “The Korean language will become the global language and is the most excellent language in all of human history”.
On hearing this I became more suspicious. So I secretly sneaked into my sister’s room while she was away. There I found books entitled “The Divine Principle” and “Apostate” and some brochures. I started reading them and was appalled at the contents. One item said, “Japan is a country ruled by the devil. It tormented South Korea which should be the country to lead the world,” another said, “Japan is the country representing Eve, and Korea is the Adam country. Therefore it is Japan’s obligation to work to serve Korea [to reverse Eve’s mistake in the Garden of Eden].” “After the unification of North and South Korea, the country will become the center of Asia and will then rule the world”. The literature was full of such crazy things!
I asked my university tutor about the information which had given me such an uneasy feeling. He told me, “Well, that is the Unification Church.” Then I researched into the Unification Church and discussed it with my parents. We all tried to convince my sister to withdraw from this Church. But it was too late. She took a hard line and decided to quit university and insisted on going to South Korea straight away.
We were desperate. We tried to stop her, but she swore at us angrily saying, “You people are all devils who want to insult the Messiah and South Korea which will lead the world!” We were horrified at the change in her. I cried, together with my parents.
4.  Suddenly, my sister decided to participate in a mass wedding ceremony in Seoul and so finally she left our home.
I protested to the Korean student who had invited my sister to their meetings. This student completely changed from her previously polite demeanor. I asked her “You are a member of the Unification Church, aren’t you?” But she acted as if she didn’t know. “Eh? What is that?” she replied.
I said, “The founder of Unification Church is Sun Myung Moon; he’s really weird, isn’t he?”
My comment made her so upset.
“What did you say?!” She yelled like mad, spitting out her words, her face red with anger.
Although she had hidden this fact, she was indeed a member of the Unification Church!
My family was so sad, we all cried for a while after my sister left home. We all worried about her circumstances.
Soon my sister contacted us to say that she had got married to a Korean man and was living in countryside. For a time we felt relieved. Then she began to send frequent letters. She wrote “Please send money”, and “send electrical goods” and other things. It seemed that her Korean “relatives” in the countryside demanded that she get money and goods from our family for their sake. My parents felt that they had no choice but to continue to send money and goods as requested.
We worried what sort of life my sister had in Korea. I decided to go to there to see her and find out her situation. It was dangerous for me to go alone, so we had to make an effort to find an appropriate person to be my interpreter and bodyguard. We hired Mr. A., who was a Japanese exchange student living in Seoul.

"Are you calling me a racist?"
Tumblr media
In “I Can’t Breathe,” Matt Taibbi’s book on Eric Garner’s murder he writes, “You could reduce…Fox News and afternoon talk radio to a morbid national obsession that could be summarized on a t-shirt: ‘Are you calling me a racist?’”
https://memex.craphound.com/2017/12/15/i-cant-breathe-matt-taibbis-scorching-book-on-the-murder-of-eric-garner-and-the-system-that-let-the-killers-get-away-with-it/
It’s a passage I found myself turning to regularly during the Trump years, when right wing figures bristled at being called racist merely for supporting an explicitly racist party that took power by appealing to white nationalism.
The media spent a lot of that period asking itself whether being a Republican was the same as being a racist, and one commonsense answer that cropped up a lot was, “It may not mean that you are racist, but it does mean that you’ll accept racism as the price of GOP rule.”
I was reminded of this by the current episode of Backbench, Canadaland’s national politics podcast. This week, host Fatima Syed interviews a listener who sent an angry email to the show after hearing voters for the People’s Party of Canada called “racist.”
https://www.canadaland.com/podcast/14-a-conversation-with-a-ppc-voter/
The caller was angry because he was not a racist: he’s a “libertarian” who wants low taxes. At the start of the interview, he insists that the manifestly racist People’s Party is not racist.
But as Syed points out the explicit racism in its platform its extensive ties to avowed neo-Nazis, the caller’s position gradually shifts — from denying racism to describing racism as a universal factor in all parties.
Finally, he acknowledges the party’s racist ties but excuses them as the price of low taxes — “You gotta take the good with the bad.”
Interestingly, the caller was able to speak intelligently about the nature of systemic racism and identify it as a serious problem.
He just doesn’t think it’s as big a problem as high taxes.
This is what we mean when we talk about saying the quiet part out loud.
Of all the brain-worms that prey upon the conservative mind, none are quite so powerful as the “no tax” pathology.
After all, clowns like Doug and Rob Ford were not solely elected by people who were swayed by promises of $1 beers and a ban on teaching butt stuff in sex ed — the Fords’ constituency includes millions who’d vote for a dead squirrel if it would knock $0.25 off their taxes.
Likewise, many wealthy Texan GOP donors are going to continue to procure abortions for themselves, their spouses and their kids. They’re likely horrified by the state’s new forced childbirth law. It’s not that they don’t believe in abortion rights.
Rather, it’s that a $1 discount on their tax bill is worth more to them than the suffering of every person who endures a forced birth, and every child produced by those births. No-tax brain worms are a hell of a drug.
Libertarianism is notionally grounded in the idea of self-determination and personal responsibility, but in practice, powerful libertarians routinely trade off (others’) freedom for (their own) tax savings.
Sure, the Kochs donate a lot of money to fighting private prisons — but it’s eclipsed by their campaign contributions and dark money for GOP candidates who support private prisons. They sincerely oppose private prisons, but not as much as they support low taxes.
It was ever thus. Von Hayek and Friedman — those great defenders of freedom! — endorsed and gave material aid to Pinochet’s military dictatorship, as it butchered 40,000 of its opponents, leaving their body parts in roadside trash-bags or pushing them out of helicopters.
There’s nothing “libertarian” about a military dictatorship, but the Chicago Boys were all about low taxation. Indeed, Friedman never met a form of oppression he wouldn’t trade for lower taxes.
Take school segregation: as Nancy MacLean writes, Milton Friedman saw racist fury at school integration as an opportunity to draw supporters to his plan to end public education (thus lowering taxes):
https://www.ineteconomics.org/perspectives/blog/how-milton-friedman-aided-and-abetted-segregationists-in-his-quest-to-privatize-public-education
Friedman helped start the Charter School movement as a way for white parents to get public money to send their kids to private, whites-only schools, after the Supreme Court and Congress ended public school segregation.
I have no idea if Friedman was racist. I don’t even care. It doesn’t matter if you do racism because you are racist, or because you have anti-tax brain-worms that make you throw in your lot with violent, racist would-be genociders. Being “pro-genocide” is incompatible with being “pro-liberty.”
In contemplating rightist thought, I have three definitions. The first is Steven Brust’s (quoted in my novel Walkaway): “Ask what’s more important, human rights or property rights. If they say ‘property rights ARE human rights’ they’re on the right.”
https://craphound.com/category/walkaway/
The second is Corey Robin’s, from The Reactionary Mind: Some people (bosses, white people, Americans, men) are born to rule, and others (racialized people, women, workers, foreigners) to be ruled over. We thrive when natural rulers are in charge.
https://coreyrobin.com/the-reactionary-mind/
The third is Frank Wilhot’s: “Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”
https://crookedtimber.org/2018/03/21/liberals-against-progressives/
The willingness to trade other peoples’ fundamental rights for preferential tax treatment fits neatly into all three of these, as does the delusion that somehow this can be resolved with sufficient “personal responsibility.”

“Bridgerton” Season 2 is happening, here’s what we know
[via BookBub Blog]
Netflix’s Bridgerton has officially been renewed for a second season. The series, based on Julia Quinn’s Regency romance novels about the Bridgerton family, is the streaming service’s most successful show to date! Though many concrete details remain under wraps, here are the tidbits we know so far about Bridgerton season two.
Season two is based on the second novel in the Bridgerton series, The Viscount Who Loved Me, and tells Anthony Bridgerton’s story.
Sex Education star Simone Ashley joins the cast to play Kate Sharma (last name Sheffield in the novel), the determined older half sister of a woman Anthony intends to engage with in a loveless marriage.
Filming for the new season was delayed because of the pandemic. But thankfully, they’ve regrouped and production will start again this spring.
There are some tiny but mighty cast additions to the new season. Another new cast member is Winston, an adorable corgi who belongs to Kate, Ashley’s character. The other small but mighty addition is bees...

Sex Education arrives with a second season on Netflix. The previous season introduces us the students and parents, this season feels like the next school season with the same students after a long summer break and we get to know them more.
The sophomore season begins with Otis’ mom, Jean, who takes the job as a counsellor at the school giving sex advises to the students, and even teachers. The series continues its empathetic approach with the “education” part.  Sex Education explores sex as a learning experience about who you are, what you want and how you relate to other people. It also blooms into a sensitive look at different types of relationship.
Featuring a compelling acting ensemble, this season leaves plenty of space for its characters to grow, the emotional range is always recognisable and richer than it might seem. With the help of Miss Sands, Maeve finagles her way back into school and the special ability programme. All she has to to thereafter is wrestle with her unwelcoming privileged peers and the return of her errant mother Erin, allegedly clean for a year and with a three-year-old half-sister in tow. Otis must negotiate his relationship with Ola while his mother Jean is dating Ola’s dad. Eric is caught in a love triangle and he has to connect his own feelings. Not a single character is a cipher - even the smallest parts have a sketched backstory and some good gags.
Even the series is set in the UK, this season is more Hollywood-minded than before. Last season includes homosexual relationship and the ethnic diversity, this season places feminism timely when Aimee experiences a sexual assault on a bus and the group of female students offer help and support. The show may fill with political correctnesses, but the way it place the plots in the character is rather organic.
But what more Hollywood is the ending, which is the only problem with the show. As the third season is set to produce, does it has to end with such cliche? All in all, the charm and generosity of spirit still suffuses the whole thing, the series’d better avoid to turn into most American teen drama with unnecessary renewed seasons.
