Shoujo Nyuumon is one of those super underrated manga that are so much better than most others in their niche... I love it.

Rei-chan's facial expressions show more distress here than some of the expressions I've seen in actual dramatic stories.

I really like stories about various ?trades? (though for now only through manga/anime), but most of the time either story uses it only as medium for character interaction or dump ton of repeated useless information while abandoning characterization. Anyway, here’s non-exhaustive list of such works: Acting: Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu (Historical Josei about rakugo, interesting as fuck if you’re into complicated people, acting is deeply tied with characters), Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight (Relathionship with stage, relationship with girls), Kageki shoujo!! (different one, about takarazuka) Jeong-nyeon (poor girl of the 20th century vs korean women theater) Uh, tabletop: 3-gatsu no lion (Shogi, about talented guy who sees his only worth as being a shogi player) Music: Hibike! Euphonium (mostly about something else, but still has its moments, mostly brass), Ao no orchestra  (Talented guy that took a pause at playing violin and a highschool novice), blue giant (jazz, guy finds his passion with saxophone) Anime: Shirobako (about production nightmare, both for original anime and for adaptation), Eizouken ni wa Te wo Dasu na! (two girls are passionate about animation, one about money) Agriculture: Gin no Saji (booksmart guy vs. agriculture) Manga: Bakuman (friends make manga), Aa to ka uu shika Ienai (How people make eromanga) Sports: ping pong the animation (if I remember right, talented people who don’t give a fuck and people who do, but without talent), Major (ridiculous plot points, but hey, baseball is here), cross game (not that ridiculous, baseball is still here though) Linguistics: Ishuzoku Gengogaku Nyuumon, more known as Heterogenia Linguistico (it’s fantasy but still very interesting! How creatures with different senses communicate? for obvious reasons, a bitch to translate.) Writing: Fune wo Amu (dictionary, that is. don’t remember shit) Visual arts: Blue period (aimless guy finds his passion with painting)
Sewing: Runway de Waratte (short model, poor tailor, both in school) Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru  (mostly romcom, but talks about cosplay sometimes)

The biggest batch has all my purchases from my Kyoto trip last month - yeah, I carried all this home in a separate bag (well, aside from one BetsuHana magazine) XD; So yeah, the first pic has the two last BetsuHana issues I bought 1. because the magazine died, 2. because both had chapters of Kyuuketsuki to yukai na nakamatachi. I already had the previous issue, where the series returned, and after reading that the series will be back _next spring_ I had to read these chapters - and they were amazing!!! We get to know more about Akira and their relationship with Al is developing too~ We’re still at the ‘love you as a friend’ stage, but great nonetheless. Too bad we have to wait so long for the continuation, but I understand Ragawa Marimo is busy drawing Mashiro no Oto (and Wakana-chan <3).
Second pic: my harvest at the Shibuya Mandarake was meager, I was expecting to buy a lot of old shoujo manga... Nevertheless I was very happy about the Acca doujinshi, and I need more!!!
The following pics have the result of me robbing two Lashinbangs and an Animate in Kyoto ^^;;; When I went the first night I grabbed all the things from my backlog and new stuff. Again, I have yet to read part of it, but Kakine’s Renchin I bought randomly was a hit for once, I love it a lot - you know me, loveless gay boy finds love ^^)b Regarding Kusabi Keri I wish she ended the beta series already. It’s hard for me to read, and she keeps being sidetracked... I’m also conflicted about following her works, maybe she’s not that great for me... Currently I have to decide if I should get the Animate gentei set for Goodbye Harlequin, but she’s such a hit or miss for me... Hm...
Next batch, I love Amemiya’s manga!!!!!! I love her style in general and it was a nice couple. Although I seriously hope for an R18 doujinshi extra ^^ The rest untouched, but they can’t be bad anyway ^^;
The next pic has the first book by Kokonotsu Hiro - after knowing she’s good I wanted to catch up with this. Somehow the covers still bothers me, it’s like she doesn’t have a good style, but she does! The book in the middle ended up to be a miss, kind of, there were too many wtfs for me in how the problem was solved and how the relationship was handled. And there’s an artbook by Enjin Yamimaru~
Can’t say much about the next batch currently, but aside from Yuki to Matsu they were random puffer purchases (okay, the one in the middle is by Taino Nikke, duh).
On my way back to Akita I dropped by Akihabara, and surprisingly I could find some stuff as Mandarake. I was especially happy about the Shoujo Manga Illust Nyuumon - usually it’s quite expensive (if available at all), but I got it for 500 yen, because it was not in the best shape, no dust cover and yellow edges, but not too bad for me. The two books for research purposes are self-explanatory, and there’s a Drifters DJ - I love Fukagawa’s Drifter DJs~~~ I wish we would get more anime though *sigh*
Lastly I had a round the the Akihabara Lashinbang, and after many years of looking I finally got the second Saigo no door book (Libre version). Sure, it’s usually available in secondhand stores, but here I wanted to avoid overly yellow or weary books. There’s a book by Kasai Uka (I’m starting to rediscover her), a random monk purchase and the R18 beast anthology by June. Uhm, I think I like Libre’s jingai books better, but it’s R18, so yeah ^^
