1. Koisenu Futari

Show that’s specifically made to be about aromanticism and asexuality as well as how aroace people are perceived by society. They are main characters. That’s the main plot.

2. Heartbreak High

Want a teen show with ace rep? No problem. One of the main characters is ace! Would you look at that! The representation already exists! It's got a ton of other rep too and it's on Netflix but somehow we never got that ace rep yet right? You don't even need subtitles for this one.

3. SkamFr (s12)

Is it a bit too much at times? Ye sure but you know what it also is? Another teen show where the main character is asexual that deals with asexuality as the main theme. And no you don't need to watch all those seasons before to get it.

4. Bojack Horseman

I didn't even watch this one but I'm aware.

5. Cherry Magic

Oh would you look at that a show with main mlm couple where one of the side characters is aroace? I mean surely it hasn't been done before.

6. Run On

You want some casual side character ace rep? Well here you go even kdramas have done it but I guess there just aren't any shows...

Honorary mention to Sex Ed for that one scene.

This is funny your sending this because I am about to give you guys a skam/YR crossover moment but anyways.....

Firstly, I really think it's hard to compare Julie to anyone. I mean Julie redefined an entire genre of YA media. She is like a pioneer/visionary that changed the game forever. Lisa isn't really that and hasn't claimed to be. As writers tho Julie is all about raw authentic and human stories. Not a ton of fluff and very precise drama. Lisa is like the opposite her style of writing is dramatic, explosive and loud. They are polar opposites. My issue with Lisa is she tends to over do certain narratives. Like I feel like we have been seeing Wilhelm in his struggle era for 3 seasons. I would like him to just have a little bit of self reflection. I thought we got there at the end of s1 and even s2 and then we sorta of walked it back. It's getting a bit repetitive. These are the kinds of things Julie is a master at navigating an arc and having every interaction connect to a large theme and a narrative that is told via nuance. Lisa isn't as nuanced and detail oriented as I would like but I still think she has done a solid job. Also remember Lisa says everything she writes she has to justify to film for Netflix. Julie is basically the movie equivalent of A24 everything is raw, gritty and indie. Lisa writes for a Netflix audience. Very different people. I think Lisa is more in line with like a David for Skamfr or even Shirley honestly. They both feel very Scandinavian to me tho. Def a style of that region of the world.

I just finished skam italia season 5 today and...... surprisingly i love it so much!!! I think from all of the original season that we got from the remakes, it deserve to be put on top 3 after druck's nora and skamfr's lola.

The whole thing about elia's body insecurity is makes a lotttttttt of sense. It may seems simple, but honestly penis size always become a great deal among boys and a lot of teenager experience it. It also feel refreshing because this kind of theme never got explored in another skam.

I also love how they potray how elia still can't get over his mother's death and despise his father for having a new relationship. I mean, I know it's not fair for his father, but it's always hurt most how the people that you expect would be in as much pain as yours slowly moved on.

I also really love how they handle the friendship dynamics between the whole cast. Contrabbandieri always be my favorite version from all of the boy squad, and it super clear that they learn a lot of thing from martino's problem in season 2. They notice elia is down? They immediately ask him why. They notice that luca is uncomfortable? They immediately say sorry.

And not only the dynamics within contrabbandieri, but also the dynamics between the whole group. Elia x fede bonding, elia x le matte heart-to-heart moment, elia x fillipo roommate bonding, elia x niccoló moment we've never thought about before, le matte's internal friendship, the fact that they also never forget to include rose squad everytime they having a party.

And!!!! we even get the contrabbandieri x villa boy moment that we've been waiting since season 1 (the fact that netflix once again bringing chicco rodi and mention rocco martucci because we obsessed with them is so funny lmao). I also surprisingly love viola and all of her friend. I love how similar they're to le matte in season 1, asia definitely stood out to me.

AND ONE THING THAT I'M SOOOOO GRATEFUL FOR is how sana mention that malik would convert back to Islam, and it's not for her, but because he find a great imam and finally believing in Allah again. I LOVE THIS MOMENT SO MUCH!!! We never got sana x practising muslim in any other version, so this moment got me in tears 😭

ALSO! The whole spera thing is a really massive plot twist. Butttt, I kinda like it. It show us that sometimes the person that you supposedly trust the most (he is a teacher + counselor, he is supposed to be one of the people that you should trust the most) could be a horrible person, a pedophile.

The final scene when le matte closing their radio is also an emotional thing for me, it kinda look like they saying goodbye and passing the torch to the next gen, I mean it's fine by me if they decide to have a next season with a next gen, but it just don't feel the same......

The only 'meh' thing I found in this season is the car crash. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE HECK all of the remakes seems super obsessed with car crash?! 😭 It didn't give any depth to the story itself. And also the moment in the finale when elia suddenly ready to have sex with viola? Right after he talk about it to the new school counselor. It just feel too rushed out.....

ANYWAY, I honestly love this season. The friendship is amazing, the storyline is good, the cinematography is top notch, i also love the effort of bringing almost all of the characters from season 1 - 4 (It would be perfect if we could see ele and incantava moment for the last time though), and the acting!!!! especially from francesco is super good, he definitely one of the best actor in skamverse. This season feels just like any other season of skam italia, and I honestly need to see more of them, maybe please give us another season netflix? 🤞

And the fact that everyone seemed to like these new 2 seasons, they should’ve had at least one more season because 3 seems more finished than 2.

Hey there, so I finally just watched Skam France for the first time and I really liked it. I just really want to talk about it with someone cuz I don't have anyone to talk about it cuz  my friend did not watch it and I'm the only one who really enjoyed it. My favorite is Season 3 because I was so touched they even made me cry and I did not expect that from the show. I was hesitant for a very long time to watch the show and so I kept pushing it off and then one day decided to watch it.I was on Tumblr the other day and I saw that someone was posting that the fandom is not as active as it used to be. Now I'm sad because I just literally watched it like a week ago from the beginning until season 5 to the end and I wish I watched it sooner and I was a part of the fandom sooner but that's okay.

Oh my god, totally come chat with me about it! I’m away on vacay so my response might be delayed but I am soooooo in! It sucks so much to get into a fandom when it’s no longer as alive. Season 3 was a time in the skamfr fandom let me tell you. I lived for it. It’s pretty much the only season of skamfr I liked - but actually loved! It was honestly as close to a perfect season as I can imagine. Even tho it’s been years I could talk and talk about it so feel free! Let me know your thoughts 💞💞💞!

I surprisingly love this season.... well at least the friendship dynamics within the weirdos. Rym have cléo as her first friend and now as her so, yanis as the one who understand her the most, and her chemistry with jade is also amazing.

When I first read the description of this season, I was afraid that it will be like lola 2.0, but turns out rym is similar with lola, but at the same time also different from her.

Also the rumor that we gonna get ace maël as a main asdfghjkl having aroace main is the one thing that we've been longing for since a long time ago. I have a big hope on you skamfr gen 3, please don't mess it up 🥺
