Hello!! Could you do 14, 15 and 31 with Fili? Romantic or platonic, up to you. Thank you 💜
13. Sitting together
14. Handholding
15. Sharing a blanket (potentially violent)
31. Stargazing
This combination is classic and oh-so-fluffy, and with my favorite Dwarf to boot! I went ahead and added another prompt as well.
Everyone lives AU, because there is no other ending in my mind.
BTW I'm sick :( but I'm going to try to get at least one other prompt request out this week

Moonrise - Fíli Durin x Reader
The Durin's Day festival was always fun, but it was all the more spectacular in the newly reclaimed Erebor.
"The first autumn equinox since the mountain was reclaimed, can you believe it?" Fíli said with a bright smile, looking with pride at the crisscrossing bridges and vaulted ceilings of the entrance to the mountain. There was still plenty of work to be done, to be sure, but its improvement was impressive regardless.
"And in a couple days, the anniversary of when it was reclaimed," you nodded in agreement. "A few months after that, the anniversary of the first time you walked around by yourself."
"Hush, I'm trying to enjoy this," Fíli gave you a fake scowl, unconsciously probing the scar hidden beneath his tunic.
You changed directions. "Of course, my Prince," you teased. "You look very nice today."
You meant it. His hair was freshly washed, the slightly damp strands frizzing out in the cool morning air. Each bead was carefully placed, a few decorative gold ones added in place of a crown. His tunic was a smooth yet understated silk underneath his leather vest and wool coat. Every detail was precisely placed, the burnt oranges and browns blending seamlessly. He had clearly been seen to with the utmost care. He looked like royalty, even without the royal garb. Most importantly, he was healthy.
His smile softened, his cheeks turning a bit pink under his mustache. "Thank you," he glanced to the ground before looking back up at you. "And you're beautiful as ever."
You blushed deeper than him, unused to compliments. You plucked at the placket of your own wool coat, dyed a deep woad blue. It was your favorite. "Thank you," you said, choosing for once to believe him. "What duties do you have today?"
"None, surprisingly," Fíli breathed. "Thorin's let me have a break, so I can enjoy the first festival in our new home right alongside you." Something about that little word, our, set your heart ablaze. "You want to stick with me?"
"If you'll have me," he smiled again. That smile was impossible to resist.
"Of course I will."
Erebor had been steadily growing over the past year, but that day, it seemed more alive than ever. The market squares were full, overflowing into the wide side streets. Jewelry, blades, shields, ceramics, sculptures--anything made out of earth or in forges were certainly found somewhere in the expansive space. The Ereborian dwarves' tentative friendship with the Men of Dale caused new, less traditional stands to pop up as well: flower stalls, street food vendors featuring fish dishes, and clothing and homeware shops full of bolts of linen. The mountain had only dwarves—and Bilbo—in its halls, a presently rare occurrence, and so you were all free to speak Khuzdul, the sharp sounds ringing pleasantly in your ears.
The two of you strolled as quickly as possible through all the markets had to offer, determined not to miss the afternoon's performances. You exercised exemplary self-restraint, only stopping at one of every five stalls that caught your eye.
"No," became a very popular word as well, what with resisting Fíli's unceasing offers to purchase anything you liked.
"Well, if you will not spend any of your share of the treasure, I must spend some of mine and relieve what must be the terrible, stifling boredom of your living quarters, my friend," he teased, mustache beads swinging from side to side.
"I will have no prince wasting his money on me."
"Oh, it's never a waste if it's you," Fíli told you surely.
There he went again, saying things that made your palms sweat and your cheeks flush. "You're too kind."
Fíli smirked at the way you diverted your gaze. "Well, if I cannot buy you a rug, at least allow me to buy you lunch," he gestured to a permanent restaurant on the corner that was swarmed with dwarrow.
You couldn't help a smile at that. "Hot stew?" You asked, referring to the almost overpoweringly spicy meat-and-potato stew that was a dwarven classic. Benron's was your favorite.
"As hot as you like, of course," He agreed, guiding you forward with a gentle hand on your back.
The stew made your eyes stream in the best way, and you pulled Fíli out of the restaurant scarcely once he was finished eating. "We have to find good seats!" You reasoned as he raised an eyebrow, still wiping his mouth.
"You do realize that Thorin has the best seats, and by extension, we do as well?"
"Right," you said. You had forgotten. Somehow, none of the Durins were royalty in your mind. They were still your traveling companions, dirt poor and looked at as crazy.
"Still, it is sort of nice to take a seat before everyone starts filtering in and it gets too loud," Fíli reassured you. "After you."
The grand presentation began with a song to the mountain. In the ancient tradition, singing was a way to ask the mountain to reveal its secrets, a careful gathering of tones that would uncover its nature.
This song, however, was made more to please the ears of the listener. It was a song of thanks, of hardly believing that this mountain was once again the shelter for her people. You tried your best to control the tears that rose to your eyes.
Fíli leaned over, bumping your shoulder with his. You gave a small smile that he returned, and you could see in his eyes that he was thinking of all that it took to get there.
"We did it," you whispered.
"Yeah, we did."
The opening songs were followed by traditional dances, a speed-forging competition, and a few spars. You cheered on the brothers as they fought each other, with a healthy dose of brotherly teasing. Fíli let his little brother win, or so he told you. The look on Kíli's face was more than worth it. You congratulated him and let them both clean up as you headed to the gates.
The gates were still open, cool air pouring into the mountain as the sun dropped in the sky.
Dale was dimmer than usual—the city was empty. The men were lining the edge of the water with candles. This equinox now also marked the anniversary of the fall of Laketown and many of their loved ones. The dwarves tried their best to be respectful of their vigil.
You leaned against the wall and watched. You hoped they found peace and remembered to enjoy their new lives. Bard, standing at the back of the group, turned around. He caught your eye and nodded.
"Come with me, I think we should see something," Fíli's low whisper startled you from your reverie, and his hand wrapping around yours even more so.
"Where are we going?" You asked, not that it mattered. With his hand in yours, you'd probably follow him anywhere.
He led you on a trek around the front of the mountain, the setting sun turning everything orange and making his hair appear as flames as you went.
Caught in the daze of bliss, it took you a while to notice what was draped over his other arm. "Wait, is that—I told you not to buy that!"
It was the woven blanket you had noticed earlier, the tapestry depicting sunrays falling through a thick forest of firs. "And what if I bought this for myself? I have uses for it."
"Then it's alright, I suppose."
"You can keep it once I'm done with it, though."
"Sly fox."
"Coin pincher."
"Seriously, though, where are we going?" You asked.
Fíli smiled at you. "A certain very large staircase."
You gasped. "Leading to a secret doorway?"
"The very same. I figured, since we were both trying to help Kili, erm, not die, we missed the excitement, and now we can see it for ourselves."
"That's extraordinarily thoughtful of you."
"Eh, I'd say averagely thoughtful at best," Fíli shrugged.
"Perfectly suitable for me," you told him.
"Good."
The achingly long trip up the staircase was rewarded with a very nice sight: another, less decorative blanket spread across the stone, a couple flat pillows, and three lanterns, already lit and ready to face the darkness.
"When did you find time to do this?" You asked Fíli, grinning from ear to ear.
"I have my ways," he said mysteriously. "And help."
"That's where Bofur, Bilbo, and Dori disappeared to," you observed. "I see. Well, it's very sweet of all of you."
"I'm glad you think so," Fíli said, still holding your hand as he guided you to sit on the blanket with him.
The stairs had taken longer than anticipated, so the sun was already almost gone. You quieted as you realized how close the time was. The two of you watched in quiet admiration as the moon rose, bright and perfect, into the sky, before you turned, hoping to catch a glimpse of the door.
You gasped. "There it is!" The moonrise revealed the shape of a perfectly hidden keyhole. "That is very neat, indeed."
"Mmhm," Fíli agreed. "Beautiful." The keyhole was not what he thought was beautiful. He wasn't actually looking at the door at all, but rather you, and the way the moonlight reflected off every spectacular detail of your face.
He had never known quite when he started to feel this way, only that he didn't in the Blue Mountains, when he barely knew you, and he did now.
You turned your gaze from the keyhole once the wonder had made a comfortable space in your heart, and looked to the stars, all too aware of how close Fíli was.
You read out the constellations to yourself in the comfortable silence, assuming the prince was doing the same. You then heard him shift.
"Lay with me," Fíli offered, and you turned around in record time, cheeks blazing and eyes wide.
"What?"
He was already lying down with his head on one of the pillows. "To watch the stars more comfortably."
"Alright," you said, voice quiet. You scooted down until you could lay your head on the other pillow, before changing your mind. You decided to take a risk and settle your head on his chest instead.
"Is this alright?" You asked immediately. The last thing you wanted was for him to be uncomfortable in this situation.
"Of course it is," he said softly, his arm raising to hold your waist. "I enjoy being close to you."
It wasn't quite a grand confession, but it was good enough for your heart to begin hammering in your chest. "I enjoy being close to you, too."

You were having one of those days that made you want to run away from everything. Instead, you walked on the golf course behind your house after hours; no phone, no umbrella, no bag this time, just you. You had what you could fit from your hands in your jean pockets as you walked the grassy field. Something twinkled and caught your eye on the far side of the fairway, there was a sparkle in the ferns. You walked over and began looking through the underbrush. Your hand grazed a smooth stick with a mangled end that encased a gem. You picked it up hoping for a better look but were transported to another world instead!
You appeared in the new world holding the staff. You were standing beside an older fellow with a pointy hat and long grey beard. You looked around and saw many other gruff, burly-looking men sitting in an encampment. They looked as confused as you. You did the only thing you could think of doing at that moment.
You turned around and took off running as fast as you could.
The wizard whose staff you were running away with asked the younger dwarves in his company to fetch you for him. They ran after you as quick as the wind. You dodged trees and hurdled bushes, making an all-around great effort. You were slowing down though. You stopped for a moment to catch your breath and plan. A twig snapped in the distance; quick footsteps closed in on you. You took off again. You needed a place to hide, a moment to think for God's sake. You were afforded no such luxuries. They were gaining, you were tiring. In your drained haste, you tripped on a bush which sent you stumbling and struggling to regain your footing given your momentum. You finally fell and scampered to take cover behind the roots of a great tree. Their footfalls grew slower and drew nearer. They were so close you could hear their words now.
“…She’s hiding, Fili,” one said much closer than you expected them to be.
You tried your best to steady your breathing. Your heartbeat was so loud you knew they could hear it.
“Stop scaring her Kili,” The other chastised. “You know she’s got to be scared half to death”. He walked past you, studying the ground. The other came up the other side of the tree doing the same.
You gripped the staff preparing yourself to be found. They turned in unison following the same tracks and looked up at you simultaneously. They were both panting but not as hard as you. Fili, the elder and more experienced of the two knelt where he stood a few yards from your curled trembling form.
“My name is Fili” He put his hand on his chest and motioned to the man next to him, “This is my brother Kili. We mean no harm to you.” He kept his distance and showed his empty hands. You stayed firmly pressed against the tree trunk, your chest heaving rapidly and your eyes as large as saucers. They could have tackled you, beaten you, or done any number of terrible violating things, but they kept their distance and spoke softly.
“What’s your name?” Kili asked, with a charming smile as he crouched beside his brother.
“Y/N,” you said in a shaky freaked-out tone.
“Y/N, that’s our friend wizard’s staff,” Fili said, “If anyone can figure out how you got here, he can.”
“But you gotta come back to camp with us,” Kili said reaching out his hand as a peace offering. So many horrible things could happen to you in the wild of this new world, but even more on top of that could if you didn’t go with them.
“How can I trust you?” You asked them. They looked at each other.
“How can we trust you?” Kili threw back at you with a suspicious look and recoiled his hand.
“Touche” you nodded returning his look.
“Seems we are at an impasse then,” Fili huffed at his brother, “You want to get home, and our wizard can do that. The only way that can happen is if you come with us back to our camp. We can only offer you our word and promise on our honor as dwarven princes that you will not be harmed by any in our company.”
You thought for a moment and nibbled at your lip, “You promise?” you looked up at Kili this time.
Kili looked you deep in the eyes, and very seriously said: “No harm will ever come to you, on my honor as a prince.”
You nodded at this, “Very well”, and tried to stand up but were stuck against the tree. The 2 men easily lifted you back to your feet. You followed them back to the camp.
You tried your best to hide behind Kili as you approached the wizard smoking a pipe. You peeked from around his shoulder at the other men in the camp. They were looking at you.
“Please sit, my dear,” The wizard said to you, motioning to the rest of the long log beside him “We have much to discuss.”
Your legs wouldn’t move you from behind the dwarf. You were still quite afraid.
“She seems to have taken a liking to you Kili,” the wizard said to him. The rest of the company let out a soft chuckle of agreement. You couldn’t see it from your angle, but Kili smiled and nodded.
“Sit down child, we aren’t going to hurt you,” One of the dwarves sitting across the fire said. You took a deep breath to gather your courage. One false move by any of the others would have you bolting again.
You moved from behind Kili and sat beside the wizard still clutching the staff.
“May I take that from you?” the wizard politely asked. You handed it to him. He explained how this type of thing had happened to a couple of his wizard friends before, but he didn’t know the remedy or spell to undo it or how to prevent it from happening again. You sat quietly listening and nodding. He explained to you and the rest of the company that he was leaving to travel to his friend and inquire about your predicament. In the meantime, he convinced the company and its leader, Thorin you came to know, to keep you in the company as an innocent bystander to help around the camp and whatnot till Gandalf (the wizard) could figure out what to do with you. Gandalf gave you a small sack of coins, instructing you to get a bag, a bedroll, clothes, and any other necessities you’ll need at the next town.
As the fire died down so did the company. They got out their bedrolls and sleeping gear like a synchronized unit and as quickly as they started, they were all asleep snoring softly. Kili had first watch and was sitting on the ground next to you leaning against the log you were on. You slid onto the ground next to him curled with your knees to your chest. He looked over at you. You looked over at him.
“I don’t know what to do now,” you said not hiding the waver in your voice very well, “I’m so scared.” You couldn’t hold back the tears anymore. You cried into your hands as quietly as possible, so you didn’t disturb and anger the others. If you had looked at Kili, you would have seen him in a slight panic and at a loss for what to do, he didn’t know how to console crying women. You sobbed into your hands knowing you just needed to let it all out then you’d be fine. Kili looked at the fire and put his hand on your back. Physical contact of any kind back home was next to nonexistent, it felt nice to know he was trying his best to comfort you. After a few minutes of uncontrollable sobbing and hiccups wracking through you, you began calming down. When you were able to breathe properly, you wiped your face even though tears kept falling. You sniffled and rested your chin on your knees letting the tears fall silently now.
“Do you feel better?” Kili guessed in a soft tone and rubbed his hand on your back.
You nodded at him, “Yes” You took a deep breath and wiped the tears from your eyes as best you could, “Thank you” You looked at him and smiled a little. He smiled and nodded too, still concerned but returned his hand to his lap. You sniffled and looked at the fire.
“Really though I don’t know what I’m doing,” you said. “I’ve never been camping before,” you paused to think. “I don’t know how to fight or use a sword or make a fire or hunt or-or—” You were working yourself up and starting to cry again. Kili cut you off before you could start sobbing hysterically again.
“WOAH! Woah!!” alarmed, he put his hand on your back again, “It’s ok. Calm down.” he said harshly, “Take a deep breath, that seemed to help last time,” He mumbled the last part under his breath. That made you smile despite yourself.
“You don’t know how to console someone, do you?” You took a deep breath and wiped your eyes. He shook his head and took his hand from you. “Seems we’re both out of our depth then,” you said making the mood a bit lighter.
“In my defense, I was raised in a pack of manly men,” He smiled fondly “It’s a wonder my mother got through to me at all.”
“So, you do have a mother,” you said, making him look at you quizzically “I assumed you were raised by wolves,” You shrugged. He laughed and you couldn’t help but smile.
“You’re not completely wrong about that,” He smiled, looking over at the men across the fire. There was a momentary silence. “We’ll teach you those things, how to fight, how to make a fire, all that,” He looked over at you, “I mean who knows how long Gandalf will be, and you’d have to be pretty stupid not to pick up a thing or two even from this bunch.” You smiled and nodded; this calmed your nerves a little. A moment of silence fell between you again.
“Is it ok if I stay up with you?” you innocently asked, “I’m not very tired.”
“Sure,” he said casually, “May I ask about your life back in your world?”
“OK,” You nodded.
“What do you do?” he asked, you gave him a weird look. “Like for a living, how do you make money, how do you spend your days?”
“I’m a student at university at the moment.” He looked at you confused this time. “I spend my days studying at a desk, it’s boring and dull” You quickly summed up.
“Ooohh,” He said, “No wonder you couldn’t run for shit,” He laughed.
You scoffed, “So rude,” You huffed, failing to hide your smile. He was glad you were cheering up a bit.
“If it’s so boring and dull, why don’t you do something else?” He asked, naive to your world and its ways.
“It’s…complicated” you sighed “I have to study to do what I want to do for work even though I don’t want to work or study or do any of that, but I have to make money somehow because I need money to do stuff and buy things because the world I live in is shitty that way and it’s so frustrating sometimes,” you gritted your teeth to make your point.
“Well, what do you want to do then?” he asked, trying to understand your strange world.
“Sit on the beach,” You said without hesitation “…Listen to the waves…sleep on a blanket in the sun,” you sighed wistfully. “Die happy and rich.”
“That does sound nice” He agreed “I’ve never seen a tropical ocean before, the seas near the Blue Mountains are all frozen over.”
“Surely there’s a beach somewhere in this world,” You refused to believe the universe sent you to a world without a beach.
“There is! I’ve heard stories of Southern Gondor, where the sun makes the sand hotter than forges, and the water falls over the horizon in every direction.”
“That sounds like the beaches from back home,” You felt a little bad for him. You’d been practically raised at the beach because it was the only free thing to do in your hometown.
“May I ask a question?” you asked this time.
“Of course,” He shifted to lean against the log and face you.
“What are you guys doing?” you gestured to the camp around you.
“We are on a quest!” He said proudly, “A quest to take back our ancestral home from the dread dragon Smaug,” he said in a sinister voice. He explained about Erebor and the dragon and Thorin to catch you up. You listened, nodded, and took it all in, asking questions and giggling at his jokes. He was a decent storyteller.
“And I’m just along for the ride I guess,” you said deflated about your role in all this.
“If it’s any consolation, you’re quite good company,” He indulged; Kili always got so lonely on watch.
“Yay!” you said over a yawn, “I’d hate to bore any of you,” you replied, genuinely fearing your stories may never measure up to theirs. You leaned over and laid on the soft grass, curled in a ball with your arm as a pillow. You tried not to shiver from the cool evening breeze. You heard some shuffling of fabric, and then a blanket fluttered on top of you. You looked at Kili who smiled and said: “I’m quite the furnace at night, I’ll be fine without it,” he reassured.
“Thank you,” you said over another yawn. You didn’t expect to fall asleep but the next thing you knew it was early morning and you were awoken by the clanging of pots and spoons. You sat up and looked around to get your bearings.
‘Still in the same strange world’ you thought not fully awake. Kili appeared, greeted you good morning, and handed you a bowl of white goo he called porridge. You thanked him and ate your breakfast in silence like the rest of the company. While the men packed up the camp you were tasked with washing the dishes in a nearby stream. You were struck by the beauty of the incredible woods around you even in the dim morning light. You returned to camp and put the dishes in their bag, which was taken by one of your new companions. You felt out of place without a task among everyone who knew what to do. Balin saw you standing in the middle of the camp looking lost. He asked Thorin what they were to do about their lack of an extra pony for you. They decided you could ride with Kili seeing as he was the lightest (next to Bilbo) and his pony could take the weight and because you seemed the most comfortable with him. The old dwarf with a white-grey beard curled up at the ends approached you with as much of a nonthreatening air as he could muster.
“Good morning, my dear!” He greeted you with a chipper smile. “My name is Balin”
“Good morning,” you replied. “I don't quite know what I’m to be doing,” you said sheepishly.
“That’s ok lass, it’ll come with time,” he reassured, “For now, you’ll ride with Kili so you can see if he needs help getting ready.”
“Ok,” You nodded and started walking in Kili’s direction. You stopped in front of his pony and petted its nose and down its neck. “I’ve been told that I’m to ride with you,” you said timidly looking at him adjust his saddle. Kili looked at you and nodded.
“I’ll be happy to have a lovely conversation again” He smiled and looked back at his saddle, making the final arrangements.
He turned to you and said, “I’ll give you a leg up,” And jabbed a thumb at his pony. You nodded and approached the animal. You put your hands on the ponies back and bent your leg waiting for him to help. He leaned forward so he could whisper in your ear: “Wrong leg”. You blushed quite profusely at that and switched legs. He heaved you with such strength he nearly threw you over the other side of the pony. You made yourself comfortable behind the saddle before he hooked his foot in the stirrup and carefully mounted so he didn’t knock you off.
“You ok?” he asked over his shoulder.
“Yep!” you smiled. He nodded. You were excited to see new lands even though you feared what they harbored.
“If you need to hold on to me when we get going you can,” he said, making you both blush despite yourselves.
A few moments later Thorin called out: “Company ready?” in a deep booming voice, “Aye!” They all replied in unison. “Company, move out!” He bellowed and urged his pony forward. The rest followed behind him one by one. When your animal lurched forward you grabbed Kili's waist for dear life. The company was silent till they got to the end of the forest. You had your cheek pressed against Kili’s shoulder and your chest against his back. The fur of his coat was very soft against your face as you turned your head to look over his other shoulder. You yawned but didn’t realize you did it right next to his ear and breathed down his neck. He determinedly kept his eyes on the pony ahead of him to keep the blush rising in his chest at bay.
“You can take a nap if you need to,” he said over his shoulder in a soft voice for only you to hear.
“That sounds like a good idea,” You yawned again. You buried your face in the soft spare fabric of the hood on his back and cuddled closer to him to rest your head on his shoulder. You closed your eyes and sleep swiftly took you. He knew this because he could feel your breathing slow on the back of his neck. He was happy you could sleep and couldn’t help his smile. You shifted now and then, turning your head one way then a while later turning it the other. Kili tried not to talk or move too much in fear of waking your delicate slumber. By midday, you felt very well rested. You took a deep breath and released your grasp on Kili to stretch your arms above your head, arching your back to wake yourself up. You quickly slipped your arms around him again, so you didn’t fall.
“Good morning!” He chirped, “Well afternoon really,” he corrected with a smile, “Sleep well?”
“Mhm,” You hummed against his shoulder “I haven’t slept that well in a long time,” you said thinking back on the restless weeks before your arrival in Middle Earth.
“Good,” He nodded. “Happy I could be of service.”
“Yes, you make quite the comfortable bed,” you replied.
An easy silence settled between you for a while. You contentedly watched the landscape pass by while he kept the pony on the path.
“What’s a good weapon for a beginner?” You asked knowing you needed to start wrapping your head around the fact that you could be stuck here forever and needed to protect yourself. He thought about that for a few moments.
“I’d have to say a bow,” He shrugged, “I don’t know honestly, lemme ask Fili,” he kicked up his pony to walk faster to be next to his brother. “What is the best weapon for a beginner?” He asked him. Fili glanced at you and thought for a moment.
“Hmm I think a sword would be easiest,” He replied, contradicting his brother.
“A sword?!” Kili said incredulously “No that’s one of the harder ones,” He swatted his hand as if to swipe the words from the air.
Fili scoffed “For you maybe,” he said barely keeping his teasing smile under control “But not to the rest of us, my weapon-challenged brother.” That made you giggle. Kili huffed and pulled his horse back, so he wasn’t beside his brother anymore.
“Are you that bad with a sword?” you asked, trying not to laugh too much.
“No!” he exclaimed, “I’m just better with a bow and arrows,” he pouted.
‘Awe he’s so cute when he pouts’ Your thought took you by surprise.
“Perhaps you can teach me, Archer,” Your voice was lower than you intended, making you both blush. Your breath ghosted over his ear making him shiver just a little. He turned his head to look at you over his shoulder, his face so close to yours. He looked at your lips then deep into your eyes holding eye contact.
“Maybe I will,” he said in a deep gruff whisper that made you gasp and goosebumps rush over your skin. He turned back and smiled; proud he could get a rise out of you. You huffed and distanced yourself from him by leaning back, needing the space to calm down.
As night drew closer, Thorin led the company to the edge of a forest and found a shallow cave, more like a cliff overhang to make camp for the night. He told Fili and Kili to take care of the ponies and Oin and Gloin to make the fire. After the meals had been handed out Thorin told you to take Fili and Kili a bowl. You walked through the forest and found them looking at a downed tree in panicked awe.
“Something took 4 of the ponies,” Fili said to you, hoping you’d have the answer to their predicament.
“Yes, and…” you nodded at them trying not to panic yourself “What are you going to do about it since it’s your problem?”
The brothers decided to see what took the ponies and if they could handle it themselves, no need to worry Thorin, right? You followed them as they tracked the pony-nappers. Kili hid behind a tree and peeked around, you hid behind him and peeked over his shoulder. 3 large trolls were something to worry about, and a sight that made that dreadful feeling drop from your chest into your stomach. Your grip on Kili’s coat tightened.
He turned to you and said in barely a whisper, “Go back to camp and tell Thorin”.
Fili was immediately against it, huffing and puffing from behind his tree. Kili shrugged and motioned with hands as if to say, ‘What else would you have us do?!’ Fili huffed again and snuck around the tree. He tried to cut the rope fence with his sword, but he took too long. The trolls caught him. They were deciding ways to eat him when Kili looked at you in alarm and told you to go back to camp. You ran as fast as you could.
“Ponies! Big grey troll things took the ponies!” You said out of breath pointing the way you just came “Fili…in…danger”. Thorin cursed in dwarfish and rallied the company. Balin told you to keep your distance, so you didn’t get caught in the fight.
The dwarves fought bravely but were captured. Bilbo bid for more time while you thought of a plan. You heard the trolls complain about daylight coming and that gave you an idea. You saw the trolls had made camp in the shade cast by a large boulder. You wedged a branch under the rock and used the leverage to try to roll it. It was very heavy, and you were not. It took everything in your power to push the branch to roll the boulder down the ditch edge it rested on. The trolls were washed in sunlight, turning them to stone and freeing the company. They cheered when you stepped over the branch and into the clearing. You helped them from their confines and smiled and blushed when they praised your good job.
Back at camp the company gathered their things and discussed what to do now. Fili suddenly hushed the company.
“Warg howls in the distance,” He whispered to Thorin “They are coming!”
“RUN!” Thorin yelled at the company. Following Thorin everyone started running. You all ran as fast as you could onto a hilly plane sprinkled with trees and boulders. You ran and ran till the Wargs finally caught up. They began to encircle you. The company fought the beasts, taking them down as still more came at them. You went to hide behind the rock formation but fell into it instead. You climbed out as the Wargs were closing in.
“Down here!” you called “There’s a passage this way!” you slid down to make room for the others. Thorin was the last one, as he slid down a horn was blown near the entrance to the passage.
“I can’t see where it leads, do we follow?” One of the dwarves asked.
“Yes! We follow!” Thorin barged through the dwarves and led the company through the narrow pass. You all walked for a few minutes, but then Thorin rounded a corner and slowed as he realized where he’d unwittingly led the company. The rest kept walking around him, but Bilbo stopped and said in admiration: “Rivendell”. You stopped as well to take in the view before you. It was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen. A small town on the side of a mountain with water flowing from beneath some of the glittering structures.
As Thorin led the company over a bridge, you grabbed Kili’s arm to steady yourself as you looked around and took in the ornate statues and architecture of the front steps of a large building. A man much taller than you or the dwarves approached the group.
“We would like to speak to Lord Elrond,” Thorin said through gritted teeth. He was swallowing his pride for the betterment of the quest, that much was clear through his clenched fists and tense shoulders.
“Lord Elrond isn’t here,” The elf said regretfully.
“Then where is he?” Thorin’s patience was growing thin. A horn was sounded on the other side of the bridge you’d just crossed. Everyone turned to see a group of horses galloping towards them. The dwarves began shouting in dwarfish and closing ranks with their weapons ready for battle. You were pushed into the very center of the circle as tall horses and riders circled you. They stopped suddenly and the one on a black horse dismounted.
“My Lord Elrond,” The elf who first approached you said with a bow.
“Lindir” Elrond bowed his head at him then turned to the leader of your group, “Welcome Thorin son of Thrain,” He looked over the dwarf “You have your grandfather's bearings.”
“I’m afraid I know you only from the stories my grandfather told me,” Thorin was doing his best to be polite. (You were later informed that the stories were mostly about him being a ninny.)
“I’d like to offer you and your company a taste of our elfish hospitality,” Elrond said with a warm smile.
“Does that mean we’ll eat?!” Bombur called from the back. The company chuckled at him.
“Yes Bombur, that means we’ll eat” Dori replied. The company cheered at the prospect of a full belly and a warm hearth.
Not long after, you were sat next to Bilbo and Kili at a large table. The salad appetizers were very good despite the dwarves not liking green food very much. You giggled at their jokes about how bad the music was or how they wanted chips and meat. Thorin was sat at another table across from Elrond discussing something you couldn’t hear, but you could tell it pained Thorin to be in the other man's presence.
You turned to Kili beside you. “Thorin looks constipated,” you said in a low voice barely containing your laughter “He can’t even pretend to be enjoying this”. Kili looked over at his uncle and laughed with you.
When the meals were served there was boisterous laughter and general dwarfish shenanigans, the usual at any merry dwarfish gathering. Bilbo looked like he was having PTSD from when they were doing the same at his house at the beginning of the quest. At the end of the meal, Thorin and Balin disappeared with Elrond to discuss a map. You asked Kili if he would escort you to the markets with as much innocent girlish need as you could muster to solidify your security. He agreed and walked with you through the corridors and to the market. He helped you get a fair price on a bag, a blanket, and a bedroll. The next thing you needed was clothes to blend in.
“What do the women around here wear exactly?” You asked him. He shrugged.
“It depends, I guess” He had his hands shoved in his pockets as he followed you around the clothing stalls like a puppy.
“Gee, that’s a big help.” You teased.
After some more wandering you found a stall selling clothes that looked your size. You purchased a dark blue form-fitting tunic that stopped above your knees and had slits on the sides that went up to your hips. It paired very nicely with the brown pants and brown coat with dark blue highlights you bought as well. Kili helped barter with the merchants since you didn’t know the fair price of things here. In another section of the market, you bought spools of black, blue, and pink thread. You put your belongings in your new bag.
“Are we done?” Kili asked, sounding slightly annoyed. He was ready to go back to the others and be away from so many elves. You sighed and rolled your eyes playfully and nodded. He led you through the busy crowded markets by holding your hand. You were thankful he was in front of you so he couldn’t see your blush. You made it back to the group, who had set up camp in a courtyard garden at the end of a hallway. Just as you arrived two female and two male elves came down the hallway.
One of the males stepped forward, “The bathhouse is ready for you now” he said to the group.
“Bath?! We don’t need no stinkin’ bath!” Exclaimed a dwarf from behind the fire. The rest heartily agreed, not ready to drop their pants on elvish soil it seemed.
“I’d like a bath” you timidly said, not wanting to make a fuss but very much wanting to be clean.
“Very good mistress dwarf, if you’ll follow us,” one of the female elves said. You were tense as you followed the four elves down the corridor, not sure what you were doing.
“You best go with her lad,” Dori said to Kili, “You never know what an elf might try to pull.” He glared at the back of the elves as they walked away. Kili nodded and ran after you.
“Y/N!” He called making you and the elves stop.
“Oh, change your mind, Kili?” You asked with an innocent smile, happy to have his company.
“Yeah, I guess so.” He smiled too.
You were led to a large door that opened into a covered hot spring that flowed over the balcony to create an assumably gorgeous waterfall. Columns lined the outer edge of the room which was split down the middle by a cloth partition. The male elves walked to one side of the divider with Kili in tow, while the females walked to the other. The elves asked that you wash under the heated shower of water off to the side before entering the hot springs. They left you to your own devices.
“I’ve never seen anything like this have you?” You asked Kili across the large room.
“No” He smiled at the wonder in your voice from seeing new things and making discoveries. He thought it was very cute.
You placed your bag and new clothes on the vanity in the corner. You undressed and stepped under the warm shower. You used the bar of soap you found to wash your hair and body. It was the best-smelling soap you’d ever had the pleasure of experiencing.
“Hey, Kee?” You hollered.
“Yeah?” He yelled back.
“Do you plan on keeping your soap?”
“No…Why?”
“I’ll take it then. I’ll need extra anyway,” And you were so happy you did. That soap made your hair silky smooth and stronger than ever. You rinsed the suds away then stepped into the hot springs.
It felt luxurious. You couldn’t help but moan a little as the heat pulled every knot and tense muscle from you. Relaxed, you floated in the steamy water.
“You still there Kili?” you asked suddenly nervous he’d left you.
“Yeah, I’m here” He replied, “We shouldn’t take too much longer though, Thorin could be back any minute and who knows what kind of a mood he’ll be in.”
That made you enjoy the bath a little faster. Not long after you began drying off and getting dressed. You took the hairbrush and beads and other miscellaneous hair trinkets that were on the vanity. You looked in the mirror at your new outfit. It fit as you thought, though a little snugger in some places than others, hugging your curves to allow for movement yet still baggy for breathability and insulation. Overall, a nice ensemble.
“Ready Y/N?” Kili asked from across the partition.
“Yeah, you can come over, I’m just packing my things.” You replied, folding your old clothes, and putting them in your bag with the rest of your things.
“Here’s the soap” He handed it to you.
“Thanks!” You smiled at him; you simply wrote his flushed cheeks off to the hot water. When you stood, he was able to get a much better look at you in your new clothes.
“A perfect fit I see” He smiled, looking you up and down. He couldn’t help but imagine what you’d look like wearing nothing but his tunic. A line of thought he blushed at and quickly willed away.
“Does it look alright? I don’t know how it’s supposed to fit” You fussed with the hems and the folds trying to make them lay better. He grabbed your hand to make you stop fidgeting.
“You look great,” he said with a genuine smile. You smiled and nodded your appreciation.
You walked back to camp, making moneyless bets on what mood Thorin would be in when he returned.
As you approached Fili saw you in your new outfit and said, “Well look at this…” Making the rest of the company look at you too, “Our wee lass looks like a bona fide middle earther now!” They cheered at your near-complete indoctrination.
“Now she just needs to learn how to fight like one.” Bofur quipped from beside the fire.
“Then I wouldn’t need any of you to protect me!” You put the back of your hand to your forehead feigning a damsel in distress, making the company laugh. You sat on the ground beside the long chair Kili was now examining his weapons in and leaned against it. You held out a stone fish figurine to him.
“As a thank you for helping me” you cleared your throat “…And for being my friend.” You couldn’t meet his eyes, but you knew he was smiling a little around his reed pipe. He took it from your open hands. You know it wasn’t much but it’s all you could offer.
“Maybe one day you can return it to the ocean,” you said, referring to your previous conversation.
“Maybe I will,” he smiled down at you with genuine fondness.
“Bombur!” Bofur called before throwing a sausage to his cousin. The table, which took skilled elfin craftsman months, even years to craft and carve out of solid wood, collapsed under the massive weight of Bombur. Everyone erupted in laughter, it was nice to be part of the group and share in the merriment.
~~
Thorin stopped Balin on their way back to the camp, “We should leave her here,” He said, “She is a liability.”
Balin had a terrible sinking feeling in his round tummy when he thought of splitting you up.
“So what if she is, Thorin?” Balin said near pleading. “Have you ever seen your nephew that happy or open with a girl that quick before? I’ve never seen the lad so engaged in a conversation that didn’t have to do with weapons before last night. So what if she dies on our quest, at least we gave them a chance to happen, and if fate finds their pairing favorable it will all work out!” Balin was desperate to keep you and the young prince together if only to keep the sinking feeling at bay.
Thorin huffed, “Very well, but her blood is not on my hands,” He walked away and into the camp.
~~
Thorin and Balin returned, and the tone became slightly more serious—slightly. The company settled and laid their bedrolls in the grassy parts of the garden. You laid yours out as well and prepped for sleep by removing your shoes and coat. The night was warm enough that your blanket would suffice. You looked up at the stars wondering if any of the constellations were the same as back home. You cuddled your coat to your chest relishing the feel of the soft fabric. The low conversation between Fili and Kili, while they sat on watch across the fire, lulled you to sleep.

You crouched low to the ground, quiet, panting breaths ghosting through your lips, scanning the terrain through the bushes you were using for cover. Listening for every snap of a twig, crunch of leaves, any evidence of the predator hunting you. Legs tucked underneath you, ready to bolt at any moment.
The ground crunched under a dwarven boot almost imperceptibly, and you bolted from your hiding spot. The predator's footfalls follow close behind you as your lungs and chest begin to burn. You knew without a doubt that if you didn’t lose him soon, you would be caught and completely at his mercy.
You darted around the corner, zig-zagging through the trees, hoping that he wouldn’t be able to change directions as fast as you. But the burn in your thighs was starting to catch up with you, slowing your pace ever so slightly as your legs slowly began to turn to jello. Distracted by the pain in your legs, you missed the root peaking out of the ground, tripping you by sheer bad luck.
You cursed under your breath, scrambling to your feet as best you could, but it was too late. He’d caught you.
“Where were you going, darling?” Your husband breathed in your ear as he lifted you to your knees, pulling your wrists behind your back. The sound of his voice alone sent arousal through you; mixed with the dopamine from your run, it became intoxicating. “We both know you can’t outrun me. I’m the best hunter of the Durin clan.”
“And I’m the fastest thief under the mountain. What’s your point?” you huffed, tugging against his grip. “You never would have caught me if I hadn’t tripped.”
Fili gripped your wrists tighter behind your back, growling, “But you did, Sweetheart. Now I get to take my reward.”
He had you bent over, pulling your furred skirt up over the thin leggings you had on underneath. His free hand caressed your ass, thumb brushing your clothed pussy. You were already soaking through the cloth.
“You’re lucky I came prepared,” he cooed as he pulled down your leggings, exposing your pussy to the chilly autumnal air. Fili squeezed a liquid onto your ass, using his fingers to ease the lube into your asshole.
You let out a light gasp at the intrusion, not used to the feeling. You could hear him rummaging through his bag, and suddenly you felt cold, smooth metal press against your hole. He eased it in, taking his time to allow you to adjust. You let out panted gasps until the wide flat base sat firmly between your ass cheeks, not allowing the device to travel further.
“What is it?” You breathed, still in character for your play date.
“Just a little something that marks you as my prey. But it’s not the only way I will mark you, little bunny.”
Fili dropped his pants behind you, pushing your face and chest into the dirt as he mounted you from behind, burying his cock in your slick, wet cunt. You let out a guttural whine as he stretched you, not waiting for you to adjust to his girth. His calloused hands gripped your soft hips, using them as leverage as he slammed his cock into your depths, making you whine and pant underneath his relentless pace.
“Fuck,” Fili hissed as a hand moved to grip your hair, yanking your head toward him, arching your back at an angle that intensified every delicious thrust. You could feel each stroke against the bulbous object filling your ass, making you feel pleasure you’d never experienced. With his other hand, Fili pressed his thumb against the base of the object, making you let out a desperate whine as it pushed against the bounds of your anal cavity. Your pussy quivered around him as he sent waves of pleasure through you, tightening into a warm coil in your core.
“Are you ready for my seed, little bunny?” He growled in your ear, slowing his pace, but fucking you deeper with each thrust. “For me to mark you as mine, and breed that tight cunt of yours?”
“Yes, Fili,” You whined, the wind being knocked out of you with his stroke. His grip tightened on your hair, fucking you slow and deep as he filled you, your name rolling off his lips with a guttural moan. His hips stuttered as he disengaged, removing the bulbous object from your ass and pulling your leggings back up over your soaking pussy.
Fili held you tightly as he helped you up off the cold forest floor. You winced as you put weight on the ankle that you had tripped over.
“I think it’s twisted, Fi.” You gripped his shoulder as support. The cold hunting gaze was gone from his face, only warmth and concern behind his eyes.
“We’ll get you taken care of, Bunny,” He picked you up in his arms, carrying you back through the woods to where his pony was waiting. Fili set you gently on the horse before climbing on himself, making your way back to the kingdom under the mountain
“Well, now, how did this happen?” Balin asked, inspecting your twisted ankle.
“We were out hunting,” Fili bent the truth, “She tripped over an exposed root.”
“Not to worry, keep it elevated.” Balin patted your shin, “I’ll send Dori up with some tea that should help with the pain and swelling. Take it easy for the first two days, then you’ll need to get back on your feet so you don’t baby it too much.”
“Thank you, Balin,” Fili graciously offered him some of the rolls you baked that morning before your excursion. Once Balin was gone, he climbed back in the bed with you, tucking himself against your side, holding your head to his chest.
“I’m sorry, Amralimé.” He petted your head. “I didn’t mean for you to get hurt.”
“I know,” You assured him, “I know the risks of your hunt. I’ll be okay.”
“Will you let me make it up to you, Little Bunny,” he kissed your head, getting up to boil water for a bath. Once it was ready, he gently carried you to the tub, stripping you of your clothes from the hunt and setting you in the water just as there was a knock on the door to your living quarters.
“I’ll get your tea,” He peppered you with another kiss, greeting Dori in the other room.
With fresh herbal tea to sip on, you relaxed as Fili washed your skin and hair, lathering you with suds and then rinsing them all away. He took his time, massaging your muscles and scalp until the water had run cold and your tea kettle was long empty.
“Are you ready to get out?” He asked softly as you stretched, not wanting to interrupt your relaxed state. You nodded, allowing him to assist you back into the bed, dressing you in nothing but a thin slip dress.
He tucked the covers tightly around you, kissing your forehead sweetly. “I’m going to get us some dinner from the kitchens. Rest well until I get back.”

Fili and his partner play out a fantasy that they both fine irresistible.

Fili had never wanted power. He had never wanted to wave his title over people to make them bend their knees or show off his wealth to the snobby nobles at council meetings. No, Fili did not want any of that when he became the crowned prince. He refused to give into greed and pride in the all-consuming way that tore apart his ancestors. But he was a dwarf. He was mortal. And he had weaknesses just like everyone else did.
That carved green stone that they called their throne was one…
You were the other…
And the glint of gold and ruby always a thrilling sight…
Not to mention that longing desire for freedom and rule braking that his uncle had tried to train out of him in preparation for becoming the crowned prince…
The aspect of getting caught…
It didn’t come as a surprise to you when he finally admitted his secret fantasy, the scene he pictured that would make him come undone in his own hands every time he allowed him mind to wonder. Him, on the throne of Erebor with his queen in his lap, bare and moaning loud enough that the guards could hear them on the other side of the mountain’s thick walls.
He had whispered it to you as he peppered kisses along your throat, his fingers traveling in and out of you under your combined coats, the company only meters away and completely unaware of your scandalous activities. He had made it sound so powerful, so delicious that you found it becoming one of your own favorite fantasies and a scene that the two of you played out often enough in the bedroom once Erebor was claimed.
Fili was a calculated and organized dwarf, always putting his responsibilities before his own needs, but when the opportunity to finally fulfil his wonton desire arose, he was powerless to fight it. So, as Thorin set off to the Shire for his honeymoon and his brother left for Mirkwood with his mother and Balin to organize negotiations with the elves, Fili was left in charge of the mountain. And boy did he used that to his advantage.
You weren’t silly, you knew something was amiss. Fili, who was usually miserable whenever his brother was away, was far too happy to be heading to council meetings when he left you earlier and it made you nervous as you made you way to the throne room, the thin chains of lace and gold he had ordered you to wear this morning cold against your skin but safely hidden under you dress.
Heat had gathered on your cheeks and between your legs as you walked through the long halls of the mountain and it took every fiber of control to stop yourself from grinning like a fool. It wasn’t uncommon for your prince to steal you away from your duties for a bit of fun or stress relief, he had a thing for taking you in the hidden nooks and crannies of the mountain, places with just enough privacy but still with a risk of getting caught, but he had never asked you to meet in such an open spot before. Perhaps he had found a new hidden cave he wished to lead you too? Or maybe he simply wished to tease you some and claim you after you had stewed on it all day?
You took a deep breath and smoothed out the front of your dress when you arrived at the doors of the throne room, the guards giving you a sideways glance at your reddened face and jittery hands but letting you through with a nod. You smiled gratefully at them and snuck inside, your breath hitching in your throat at what you found.
Draped lazily across the throne sat your beloved, his eyes darkening as they landed on you. He was dressed in layers of expensive furs and luxurious robes. Rings and jeweled bracelets adorned his hands and wrists in a show of wealth and mithril was laced through the braids of his hair and mustache. What shocked you the most however, was Thorin’s crown resting on his brow. The crown of the king.
The rest of the ensemble while not his usual self could be brushed off, but wearing the kings crown could get him in serious trouble if he was caught. Especially while sitting so comfortably in the king’s throne.
“Fili?” you gasped in instant understanding, nights of dressing up and roleplaying in the safety of your chambers flashing through your mind and making you clench your legs closed, “Are you mad?”
The golden locked dwarf smiled sharply, the dimples in his cheeks flashing, “Is that any way to speak to your king dove?”
His voice sent shivers down your spine and the heat in your stomach doubled as took you in with lustful eyes. He flicked his ringed finger and despite your lingering apprehensions, you obeyed the silent instruction, bowing your head and kneeling before the throne he sat in.
“Good girl,” he purred in delight, the bulge in his trousers clear from were you kneeled, “my wonderful queen,”
You raised your head to meet his eyes and temporarily ignoring your fears in favor of your lust, you slipped into character, “What is it I can do to serve you my king?”
His face lit up at your willingness to play along, “It seems that your king is in the need of some company, so if my queen would be so grateful?”
“Of course you majesty, but surly such a mighty and powerful king would not allow his queen to be left on the cold floor for such a task?”
Usually when you played this role the cold stone floor of your rooms was covered in thick woolen rugs and soft animal hides, in this room however, your skin was growing cold and you knees already hurt.
“No, not at all,” he agreed with a shake of his head that made his beads clink together, “A queen should be sat upon her throne. Come up here, sit,”
Making a show of it, you lifted yourself from the floor and into his grasp as he guided you to his lap. Biting your lip as his hardened bulge pressed against your aching core, you rocked slightly as you made yourself comfortable against him.
Fili took your face in his hand and kissed you. It was rough and needy and he made no effort to cover his small growls and groans as your lips met. His free hand had made its way under your dress and was kneading the soft flesh of your ass as he pulled you closer, slipping his tongue into your mouth with a whine. For a moment you lost yourself in him, his taste, his touch, even his scent had you worked up as you rocked against his hips.
Tracing your hands down his covered chest, you moved to undo his laces only for him to grab you wrists with one hand and hold you still.
“Patience my queen,” he whispered with a nip to your ear, “I have waited far too long, I won’t rush this,”
You stilled and he loosened his grip, bringing his attention to the ties of your corset instead. His quick fingers made light work of the strings and he took his time kissing and sucking along your jaw and down the side of your neck, slowly reaching lower with every inch of skin he revealed from your dress. You whimpered at his feather-like touches, arching you back to press your hips to his, desperate for some sort of stimulation against the burning between your legs.
Fili nudged you up and slipped the garment over your head, his eyes sparkling at the sight of you in nothing but chains of gold and lace that hugged your flesh and outlined your breasts. You shivered as the cold air of the throne room hit your skin making your nipples harden and he groan beneath you at the sight. He left sloppy kisses down your left breast, drawing back with a wicked grin as an idea crossed his mind. You tilted your head slightly as you watched him part the chains of gold, kiss you sloppily again and blow gently.
You gasped at the sensation of his hot breath turning cold against the wetness of your skin and moaned as you shivered again. Your head tilted back and you squeezed your eyes closed, the feel of him chuckling a deep rumble in his chest.
Enjoying your reaction he sucked again on your other breast, this time using the metal to chill your body and make you squirm.
“Fili!” you shuttered begging for mercy.
He merely raised a bow and gave a quick pinch to your bottom, “How do you address me?”
“Y-your majesty! My k-king,”
“Better,” he purred before looking up at you, “Now what can I do for you, my queen?” he asked innocently, sending your head spinning as he thrust up against you.
“Please!”
“Please what my darling? Come now, a queen needs to use her words, doesn’t she?”
“Please,” you panted again, “Take me my King, I need to feel you,”
“As my queen desires,”
You watched him with fervor as he undid the rest of his laces and pulled his trousers down to his knees, his erection springing to attention, drops of pre-cum already leaking from its head. He removed nothing else, keeping his cloak and crown adorned, the feeling of fur soft in your fingers yet nowhere near as wonderful than the layer of blond fur that covered you beloved’s chest. He dug his fingers into your hips and ground his length against your soaked folds sending you both into a fit of moans and whimpers.
“Fuck your perfect,” Fili groaned as he hid his face into the crook of your neck, placing sloppy kisses, bites, and moans. “So beautiful, so powerful. My queen, my treasure, are you ready?”
You nodded franticly, another high-pitched whine escaping you as he held you up and slid a finger through your soaked folds.
“Oh you are aren’t you dove, almost drenched for me. But I need you to do something for me ok baby?”
“Anything,” you begged trying and failing to rock against him as he held you still.
“You and I have a tendency to get very loud,” he chuckled, his own control waning at the desperation on your face, “but for now we need to be quiet ok? I’ve told the guards outside the door not to disturb us but if they hear you squeal they might come running in and we can’t have that, not yet. Can you do that? Can you be quiet for your king?”
You bit your lip, the thought of just how serious it would be if you were caught in this position ringing in your head.
Seeing your apprehension Fili gave you a gentle kiss, “we can stop now if you’d like. Head back to our chambers instead?”
“No,” you shook your head, your need outweighing your rational thoughts. You wanted this, to indulge in the fantasy that the two of you had grown and created together, “I can be quiet… maybe. You might have to help,”
“Don’t worry dove, I’ll look after you,”
Fili gave you once last look to make sure you were ok. Once satisfied he lined himself up and let you sink down onto him as far as you could, smashing his lips against yours to swallow any sounds you may make. Digging your fingers into the fur of his robes, and pressing your forehead against the cold metal of the crown that sat upon his, you lifted yourself and sunk back down again, your muscles relaxing and relishing in the feeling of his cock finally fully sheathed inside you.
Fili looked down at you, the pupils of his sharp blue eyes blown wide and his chest heaving as he struggled to keep quiet himself. For a moment the two of you sat there like that, simple savoring in the feel of each other and trying to even out your breathing. It was a loving and tender moment and as he began to rock, it became so much harder to keep in your moans. You reached up to kiss him again, his tongue hot against yours as your bodies began to move in sink. His movements got harder and faster as he thrusted up into you and as you tried your best to match his movements. His desperate hands gripped tightly onto your hips, pulling your cheeks apart to hit that spot deep inside you that made you see stars.
It was your turn to burry your face into his neck, biting down to keep you from screaming at the intensity that he was fucking you with. He let out his own broken whimpers, grasping at the gold chains in an attempt to bring you even closer still.
“When I’m truly king, I’m going to make you scream,” he snarled into your ear as your body shook and trembled around him, “I’m going to take you so beautifully, so perfectly that you won’t be able to stop. I’ll have your voice echo off these walls over and over again, the guards be dammed. They’ll be begging to touch themselves just from the sounds their queen makes as I pound her with my cock,”
You choked and babbled as you ground your hips, frantic to reach the high you were so close to, “Fuck Fili… ngh… please… so close,”
“Would you like that my queen?” he snarled, his hands shaking against you skin as his fingers slipped down to circle against your clit, “To let your people know just how well their King takes care of you? To hear just how pretty I can make you sing?”
The chains around your body clinked and your pants and whines seemed deafening in your ears as he thrusted into you, hitting that sweet spot that made your body explode in ecstasy and your walls clamp down around him. Letting go completely you opened you mouth to scream only for Fili’s thick, slick cover fingers to force their way in your mouth and muffle your sounds. He didn’t stop, continuing to ride you through your waves of pleasure until he reached his own, your overstimulated whimpering still stifled by his fingers against your tongue.
He sent you a pleading look behind his long blond lashes and you sucked harshly as your muscles clenched around his cock for a second time. You felt him rupture inside you in hot squirts, filling you with his seed and painting your walls white as he tensed and relaxed in your arms with a low, drawn-out moan.
You fell against each other, spent and exhausted, your breaths hot against each other’s skin. Pulling you closer to nuzzle into you, Fili wrapped his cloak around your tired body and held you close, still safely incased inside you.
“Your majesty?” a voice called out as the sound of the door creaking open sounded around the room making you both freeze in place with wide eyes, “Is everything ok? I thought I heard-”
“We are fine,” your voice called back instinctively before the door could swing all the way open. You voice loud and dominant, speaking in a tone that echoed that of a leader and not at all shaking in the panic you were feeling, “you were asked not to disturb this meeting. Return to your post immediately,”
In a splutter of apologies, the door quickly slammed shut again and you let out a shaky breath.
Fili glanced down at you with a dazed look upon his face his cock twitching inside of you at your effortless authority, “My queen indeed,” he moaned slamming his lips against yours once more.

The Art of Giving a Kiss - (Fili x GN Reader)
Hobbit/LOTR Masterlist
Request by Anon
Summary: As you a Fili develop a slight flirtationship (Mainly on Fili’s side) in the dungeons of Mirkwood, you work on a project that may help you express how you truly feel.
A/N: If you know the story Peter Pan you will know that Peter gave Wendy a “Kiss” in the form of an Acorn.
A/N: There are slight suggestive themes.
Tumblr media
The reclaiming of Erebor is the only thing on everyone’s mind as they sat in the cells of Mirkwood. There is no light so there is no telling day from night. All you knew is that the Elven guards give you breakfast and dinner eight hours apart and that they have done that about five times now. so you can only assume that it has been five or more days. During this time Thorin has offended the the king into making us stay our entire life time and then some. Luckily you have a cellmate. Fili sits in the opposite corner near the door of the cell. He does this to speak to his brother who is in the cell next to him. You both haven’t really had much one-on-one time until now. Talking to him has been a dream since you have only been watching from afar.
As of right now you are finishing a gift for him. Making sure to keep your back turned toward him. You have a two-part gift that will be given together. You followed Bilbo in getting an acorn from Beron’s garden, but instead of planting it you turned it into a necklace. There is a small hole at the top where the stem would be so you can put a string through it so it can hang from his neck. The string was made from the silk of the spiders you both fought together wrapped with small vines so it isn’t to sticky. You managed to create a small hinge so the top opens outward. The middle of the acorn is carved out so you can put something small inside and the thing you are putting in the middle is what you are working on now.
“Are you masturbating over there?” Fili says with a teasing smirk.
Your face flushes red. “No you dimwit!” You choke out.
You continue to drill into the center of the pebble, sanding the inside of the pebble. You decide to take a break from that for now to face Fili with an unamused face.
“Why must you say such crude things.” You say with a huff.
Fili only chuckles and strokes his beard and looking up as if he is thinking of a reason. You take the time for your eyes to roam over his face. His braided mustache is somehow flawless without as much as a single hair put out of place. His beautifully kept  blond hair is slightly frizzed with indents from his head resting against the bars of the cell doors. The rest of him was also a sight to see because he is lacking his regular tan fur coat. He is in a white shirt and black trousers. The shirts was slightly opened at the top revealing the small strands of chest hair along his chest. His pants were tightened around his well sculpted thighs as he has one foot placed on the ground while the other is splayed outwards while bent at the knee. -Effectively man-spreading-
“Maybe I like seeing you flustered my friend.” He says with a smirk.
You roll your eyes and turn around again to work on the bead. You begin sanding the outside of it until it is perfectly smooth. You then get another stone that you sharpened to a point and began to carve into it.  ‘amrâlimê’ It says. You do love him. Though you both never really talked much he was always nice to you. Never teased you about anything you couldn’t control. He protected you from Kili’s teasing though that is behind the scenes you assumed it was him. Once you were done you put the small bead inside the necklace. You smiled at it before turning back to Fili. You don’t know when you will give it to him but it will be sooner then later.
You assumed that it was very late since it is the second round of food for the day. You can hear a synced groan resound through the dungeon as yet again another salad is served. You take a moment to shuffle through your food. Fili is still at the door his head leaning against it. You take a moment before deciding to throw it at him. Literally you throw it in his face and it lands in the salad.
“Oi what was that for?” Fili rouses.
“Don’t... Don’t be weird about it...” You say before stuffing your face.
Fili looks down and picks up the acorn only to find that there is a string attached to it. He follows the string to see that it is a loop and he comes to the brilliant conclusion that it is a necklace.
“Where’d you get this?” Fili asks and you are silent for a moment before responding.
“I made it... From an acorn in Beorn’s garden...”
“What did you get!” Kili’s voice echoes only to get a bunch of ‘Shh’s’ from the rest of the company.
“Why give it to me?” “I swear you and Kili share one brain sometimes...” Fili gives you a confused look.
He looks down at the acorn and notices the hinge. He pulls the acorn to his ear and shakes it to hear something inside. He looks up at you with a questioning gaze. His hazel eyes seeming to look right through you, but probably not because he doesn’t understand that you wish to court him. Fili opens the small acorn and dumps the bead into his hand. He begins to examine it. His eyes widen at the word inscribed on it. He looks up at you again.
“I like you, you  jargh!” You whisper-shout.
Fili’s face relaxes into a smirk before taking the bead that his holding his braided mustache before replacing it with the stone bead.
“I just so happen to like you as well.”  He says as he strokes his newly decorated mustache.
“And I like having a part of you on my face.” He says with a wink and puts the acorn necklace around his neck and tucking it into his shirt.
Your face immediately flushes red. “Don’t say something so lewd!”
Right as Fili was going to respond with possibly another crude remark and voice from the other cell shouts
“BILBO!” Fili looks away for a moment but looks back at you and says: “We’ll talk about this later.” As the door to the cell opens.

Spark To A Flame
Part 2
Part 1
Pairing: Fili x female reader
Words: 6,512
Warnings: Rated E, 18+. Mentions of injuries. Unprotected intercourse. Slight breeding kink. Cum play.
Summary: With the threat of another attack looming closely, Fili defies Thorin's orders, resulting in an argument between them and Fili to go in search of the ponies, as well as a quiet moment with you.
A/N: I've wanted to write a spat between Thorin and Fili for a while. They are equally as stubborn here and ironically both in the wrong, and are far too proud to realize it.
---
It was impossible to sleep despite how tired and achy your body was; staring into Fili's cerulean eyes as he laid across from you taking precedence over giving into the rest your bruised limbs craved since the accident.
"I'm sorry," Fili whispered, his brow furrowing slightly as he reached his hand that wasn't tucked up under his head to touch your soft cheek.
"For what?" you questioned, unsure what he could possibly be sorry for.
He shrugged his shoulder that wasn't propping him up, his features scrunching up as he began to think of how to explain himself.
"For waiting this long to admit how I feel for you." He blew out a long sigh. "What if I had lost you before you knew?"
"But you didn't, Fili," you assured. "I'm right here, as is everyone else." You reached forward and brushed a stray curl from his face, giving him a gentle smile. "As far as I'm concerned we have all the time in the world, but I don't mind making up for what we wasted."
He chuckled lightly as you leaned over to kiss his lips, unable to feel satisfied with the amount you already had kissed them, your hand carding up his chest that radiated warmth onto your palm.
His thumb smoothed back and forth on your cheek, and when you slowed your kiss to a stop, he looked at you with concern.
"You're cold."
"Hmm, a little," you confirmed, having opted for more privacy over warmth when it came to choosing your sleeping location.
"C'mere," he cooed, tugging you closer to his bare chest where you happily nestled your face into it. You slipped your arm over his waist, letting your fingers travel languidly up and down his back, and through your touch it seemed more heat poured from his skin, his chest rising and falling deeply with breaths you assumed were controlling the latent, but quickly increasing want within him.
In return, his hands began their exploration of your body, slowly teasing the hem of your thin tunic further up your midsection, his palms emitting heat onto your freshly exposed skin wherever they landed.
Fili met your lips tentatively first - like he knew as soon as he tasted you on his tongue he would no longer be able to control what he was forcing himself to keep suppressed - only to increase his demand over your mouth the moment a breathy moan passed your parted lips.
His heavy body rolled on top of yours to guide you onto your back, his vast thigh landing between yours, and with one sweeping motion of his knee against the inside of your leg, Fili parted them to allow space for him to settle against you.
With a forceful grip on your chin, Fili clutched your jawline with his thumb and finger while his tongue filled your mouth and rolled against yours the same time his hips ground at your center. Your nails tore at his back, clawing for reprieve from this tormenting ache you were starting to realize was more a risk of death than any explosion or orc ambush was.
His hand loosened its hold on your jaw, trailing slowly but with enough pressure to assure you he had complete control over you, down your neck that drummed with a frantic pulse, all while his kiss became more furious and his hips pressed harder on yours.
You knew your skin would be raw and tender from the assault he put on it with his beard; the scruff hairs scratching you with every movement, causing heat to spring to the surface where he abraded your sensitive flesh, his face moving south to your chest where you pressed it up to meet him with the arch of your back.
Fili growled, the sound of one of his kin snoring loudly nearby disrupting his lusty inebriation, and with a heavy sigh he peered down at you ferociously, his blue eyes steely with a passion that made your heart rate pick up speed.
His mouth flew back to your neck with a silent vow to ignore your surroundings, his lips sucking and tongue licking in an effort to capture your taste, the absence of his mouth on yours allowing you to breathe out a suppressed whine that you struggled to keep quiet.
The salty sweetness of your skin made his mouth water, intoxicating him in a way he knew would be hard to sober from and would seek again and again, no amount of ale or pipeweed able to sate him like you did.
Dragging his teeth down your neck to scratch over the thin skin covering your collarbone, Fili continued his pursuit, and landing on your peaked nipple that revealed itself through your tunic, he sucked on it harshly, pulling it into his mouth with his talented lips to make it harden even more.
A cry slipped from you, the noise followed by Dwalin snorting loudly after likely being woken briefly from your disruption, forcing Fili to pause his efforts.
He glanced behind him, watching his comrade turn in his bedroll, his beast-like snores beginning again immediately.
Not having forgotten what he was doing, Fili latched onto your other nipple, soaking this side of your shirt with his saliva, the abandoned one left to the elements as the cold air clung to the wet material to keep it painfully raised. His hand replaced his mouth, instead adjusting himself to kiss you to help muffle your soft whimpering which only became heightened as he continued his exploration of your body, the hardness between his legs rolling and pressing into you expertly.
Growling against your lips, he gripped your breast with barely-contained barbarity before slipping it down your waist, softly compared to his previous actions; the ticklish sensation causing you to arch into him. Landing at the top of your leggings, his hand dove between the material and your skin, his fingers making contact with your wet, waiting sex, and you moaned desperately into his mouth, meeting your tongue with his faster in response to the pleasure he had you drowning in.
You clawed at his back, pulling him closer to you in a muted plea to never cease, rocking against his hand to increase what was already making you feel blinding heat build in your core.
All too suddenly, Fili tore himself away from you, inhaling sharp breaths to regain his lost resolve.
"We shouldn't," he whispered, a poor attempt to convince both of you as he looked at you hungrily.
"No, we shouldn't," you agreed, the conviction in your own words a farce. "We can't. Not here."
"No," he shook his head, wiping his hand over his beard with a desperation for patience and countenance.
Your hands wrapped from his back around to his chest, your fingers twisting pathways through his chest hair, coaxing him to lean down over you again and reattach his lips to yours.
"You're making this impossible," he said in a gruff voice, not removing his mouth from yours.
"I'm sorry," you fibbed, smiling as you nudged the strain in his trousers with your core, causing him to hiss.
"You are not."
"No, I'm not," you admitted, sighing as you finally accepted that nothing more would be happening despite both of you wanting to plunge into the depths of rapture that you were already wading in.
Fili pressed a lingering kiss upon your swollen lips again, whispering as he pulled away. "I'm due to take watch next anyway, and it's best we aren't caught by poor Ori coming to get me," he chuckled, sitting back on his heels to peer down at his obvious arousal.
Fili reached for his tunic and slipped it over his head, allowing you to admire the flex of his muscles as his body shifted back into his clothes.
"You get some rest, eh?" he advised with a gentleness in his voice. "You're going to need it."
With a wink and another self-satisfied chuckle, Fili stood, his expression changing to a wince, and hobbled over toward the front of the cave.
The night was quiet; allowing Fili to use his ears to seek out any potential dangers as opposed to his eyes that could barely see a thing from how dark it was. He looked up at the sky, the thick clouds that threatened rain covering any light the moon was giving, making him wonder if its shade was more yellow or silver tonight and what pattern of stars he was missing out on.
He struck a match against the side of the rock he sat upon and brought it to his pipe, lighting it and inhaling the sweet pipeweed gifted to him by his dear friend who's wearied eyes thanked him as he covered his yawns with his crocheted mitts when Fili sent him inside for warmth and sleep.
There wasn't much to listen to aside from the occasional hoot from a nearby owl and the slight breeze rustling in the trees, allowing Fili to simply sit and enjoy the quiet, sighing calmly into the cool night air as he finally acknowledged the pain in his leg he had been minimizing and the persistent ache between them that called for his attention above all else.
As his thoughts began to wander back inside the cave with you, thinking of what you had done so far and all that was left unfinished, a scent of smoke different from what came from his pipe filled his nostrils, making him sit up straighter from against the rock face he was leaning on.
Keeping still and even holding his breath in an effort to hear better, Fili waited for any indication of where the source of the smoke was coming from, his eyes scanning the area carefully through the darkness until he finally spotted a glimmer of flame off in the distance in the northwest corner of the forest.
His eyes remained fixed on the orange glow for long enough to observe that it wasn't moving, making the assumption it was where the orcs had set up their camp, and deciding he would stay on watch for the rest of the night to ensure they remained in the same location, Fili leaned back again, placing his pipe between his lips, his gaze locked on his enemy.
"Fili, why didn't you wake me?" Kili's groggy voice sounded from his left as he emerged from the cave with the subtlety of a goat. "Was I not meant to take watch after you?"
"Hmm," Fili confirmed, his tired eyes still watching where the smoke wafted up from the treetops in the dim light of the early morning.
"Then why-" his brother paused, following his line of sight as he stretched his arms in the air. "Oh."
Fili glanced up at him, his eyebrow cocked, watching as Kili figured it out on his own without him wasting the little energy he had left to explain.
"Does Thorin know?"
"Not yet." Fili admitted, slowly getting to his feet, his leg sore and stiff, his limbs plagued with even more ache than before. "They haven't moved all night. It's difficult to tell if they're seeking us out or waiting for us to walk into another one of their traps."
Kili stood staring ahead, mulling over his brother's words in his mind, his expression serious.
"You can take over now," Fili grinned, clapping his hand firmly on Kili's shoulder, the force making him stumble and rebalance, and left with a limp to head inside the cave.
Thorin stood beside Dwalin in the center of the company's temporary dwelling, the remaining members of the company moving around them to prepare for setting back out as they stood like two immovable pillars, speaking to each other in hushed voices.
"Uncle," Fili interrupted, earning an annoyed glance from Dwalin and an unreadable one from Thorin. "The orcs have set up camp over on the Northwest corner of the forest. I watched them all night and it doesn't appear they've moved, but I'd bet the Arkenstone they're about to begin their search for us again."
Thorin gave a curt nod as he processed his nephew's words, and hearing a dismissive snort from Dwalin, Fili turned to glare at him.
"Hogwash. They aren't lookin' fer us, lad. That attack was random."
Fili opened his mouth to speak, only to be quieted when his Uncle spoke first.
"Dwalin is right. We will set out as planned, with a couple of groups splitting off to search the forest for the ponies as we go."
"Thorin I don't-"
"Fili. We need to move on, this venture is already taking longer than intended. We need not waste any more time."
With a clench of his jaw and a long, frustrated sigh through his nostrils, Fili decided to let his concerns dissolve, Thorin and Dwalin clearly not concerned over the possibility of another ambush, and stalked over to his bedroll where you stood repacking your bags, steeling himself with a deep breath in order to disguise his hobbled gait and the anger coursing through him.
"Morning," he smiled, tensely at first, but the sight of you instantly turned it genuine and helped wash away his fatigue and weight of carrying the worry Thorin chose to ignore. "How did you sleep?"
His voice was tender, and almost bashful, and when you slipped your arms up around his neck, his cheeks blushed pink.
"I didn't sleep much at all," you admitted. "I kept wondering when you were coming back."
You looked at him with concern, seeing the strife and fatigue settling in his blue eyes turn them a stormy hue, making you rub your fingers back and forth at the base of his neck to help ease the tension you felt in his shoulders.
"Fili, what's wrong?"
His eyelids fell shut, basking in the brief moment of reprieve you graced him with, making him wish he could fall asleep in your arms and forget about everything else.
"They're just two stubborn rams, is all," he jeered, nodding his head in the direction of Thorin and Dwalin.
"That's nothing new," you spoke through a slight grin before searching his eyes again in knowing there was more that was plaguing him.
Fili sighed, his hands finding your waist to clutch as he sought reassurance. "No, it isn't. Though I really wish they would listen. Maybe it's because I've been awake for too long and I'm making this bigger than it is, but I can't help but worry."
Realizing he still hadn't explained everything to you based on your quizzical look, he breathed out again and continued.
"I watched the orcs all night. I know where they've set their camp and it's very close to the path Thorin wants to take. I do not know if they'll move on from there, or hang around to see if we come across again."
"Are you worried about another attack?"
"How can I not be?" Fili leaned his forehead against yours, praying to Mahal he would be able to keep you and everyone else safe.
Heavy boots tread across the soft, earth floor, the pace of the company sluggish and exhausted and unable to hide the remnants of injuries as they plodded along; the wishes to relocate their ponies ever prominent in their increasingly-less hopeful hearts.
Fili readjusted his pack on his shoulder, turning back to glance at you, his expression a combination of protectiveness and something else you couldn't quite place.
His gait continued to waver from its usual confident stride, the pain and fatigue that burdened him already and now the addition of his worry revealing itself the further you carried on.
You reached forward and laced your fingers with his, giving his hand a gentle squeeze, the corners of your mouth lifting up when he gave a firm one in return.
Up ahead, Thorin paused, turning to face his cortege.
"Bofur, Ori, make your way West. Keep your eyes open for any signs of the ponies. Kili, Fili, I want you headed East off the path. We will all meet directly North before the day's end."
Fili felt heat rise up through him, watching as Ori and Bofur agreed without question and took a few steps off the path in the direction of where the orcs had been.
"Thorin," Fili barked, confused at why he would be sending them walking directly into a possible trap. "Did you not listen to me?"
"We need supplies, Fili. It's a risk we must take in order to find the ponies."
"Ori, Bofur," Fili called, forcing his friends to turn to him with an uncertain look. "Do not go West. Stay with the company until we are sure there are no orcs near our set course."
"Fili!" Thorin shouted, storming over to him quickly to grip the furs on the collar of his coat. "You dare defy my orders?"
"We are still injured and the orcs are many in number. The chances of surviving another attack with just two of them is scarce."
As Fili held his Uncle's challenging stare, he stood tall, refusing to back down, his rebellion only further souring the scowl on Thorin's face.
"As I said, we need to retrieve our supplies or we will be in just as much danger as going to look for them. How much longer can we go without food or medicine, and how much longer can you walk on that leg?" Thorin hissed, giving him a dismissive look. "We all survived the initial attack…"
"And I will not stand by and watch another one happen! You already put us in danger once by going this way in the first place. You knew the enemy would be here. Had you listened to my suggestion of taking the other-"
Thorin lunged at him, his face inches from his, his knuckles white as he clenched harder at his disobedient heir. "That route was longer and just as dangerous! Do not second guess my authority, Fili!"
"I second guess it when you give me too many reasons to!"
Thorin's grip tightened on his jacket as he pressed his fists into Fili's chest with a warning shove, his temper rising exponentially, his voice lowered but powered by so much rage that it didn't need volume to get his point across."Fili, you know nothing of-"
"I know enough to not let it happen again!" Fili spat, continuing to contend despite what consequences would come of it, his arms forcing Thorin's to release him as he pushed back at his Uncle's chest to free him of his grip.
"Do not disrespect me! I am your King!" he bellowed, making Fili almost laugh at what lengths Thorin would go to in order to spare his pride and re-establish his rein.
"Then do not disparage me! I am your heir, your kin! I have a say and deserve not to be dismissed by you. You have forced me to sit back and let bad things happen too many times, Thorin, and I refuse to anymore."
You felt frozen in place as you watched the argument happen between Fili and your King, feeling like you hadn't taken a breath in ages and that your mouth would never hold moisture again until finally Fili turned away from him and stomped over to you to the best of his ability, his hand gently taking hold of your elbow.
"Let's go," he ordered softly, leaving the answer as to where that was unclear.
Still shocked from what you had just witnessed, you followed him easily, allowing him to guide you to wherever he needed to go in order to cool off, the question of your safety not a concern in knowing his fury would be enough to scare off even the most terrible creatures.
Once sure you were out of earshot, you finally allowed one of the many questions on your mind to slip past your lips as you trotted alongside the fuming Prince who still had a hold of you by the hand.
"Where are we going?"
He glanced at you without fully turning his head, his expression a mix of anger and something that looked beguiling with how his eyes were cast downward to meet yours.
"To look for the ponies," he said matter-of-factly, confusing you even more.
"Is that safe?" you asked without a second thought, not able to hide your surprise after the events that occurred only moments ago, pausing in your strides momentarily.
"I know better than him what and where is safe," Fili said confidently, neglecting to halt his own hindered steps, the emphasis on 'him' revealing he wasn't going to let this situation go any time soon.
Blinking, you sighed and continued following him, thinking how stubbornness ran true and strong in the Durin bloodline, the corners of your mouth pulling upward hesitantly as you kept to yourself how similar he was to his Uncle despite not currently wanting to be.
"Fili, did we not come from this direction?" you asked after a while, convinced now that your surroundings had begun to look familiar and the odd shape of a tree or valley off to the side became recognizable, and you cursed yourself for not having paid more attention to your route; your focus solely on keeping an eye out for signs of your lost equines, but your distraction primarily at the fault of the gorgeous Prince limping a step ahead of you who radiated an intense air from him as his frustrations turned into something more tangible.
"We did," he confirmed, stopping beside a smooth boulder nestled comfortably between various trees and lush greenery, grabbing both of your hands to hold in his as he pulled you before him.
Tilting your head to the side, you looked at him quizzically, your expression asking for your curiosity to be answered as to why you were backtracking.
"Sometimes," he began, dipping his head to reach close to your lips without touching them, his eyes flickering across your features. "I like to retrace my steps."
His hands slowly abandoned yours, moving instead to hold onto your waist where they barely made contact, the sensation of his fingers ghosting up along your sides making you sigh longingly. Your tunic lifted away from your skin as his hands forced it to travel along with them, exposing your warm flesh to the fresh air, and unconsciously, your fingers began working at the fastens of your jacket to allow Fili to continue revealing any part of you he wished to see.
His lips brushed yours teasingly, the roughness of his hands scratching your sides, the sensation making your nipples harden and ache for his attention.
"There are other things I like to retrace as well," he purred, his voice low and sultry, his fingers continuing to explore your midsection in the places he had before, the memory of his touch etched into you and reigniting the fire that had settled into embers awaiting to be woken again.
Your eyelids slipped closed, battling with yourself over giving in to what you so fiercely wanted or ignoring the cruel temptation and continuing on with the intention of finding the ponies, only to be disrupted when Fili picked you up and sat you atop the rock beside where you had been standing.
"Fili," you breathed, his name used as the weakest plea, not truly wanting to stop him from settling between your spread legs as he did now, his hands gripping your hips tightly before slipping them beneath your shirt where he tugged it past the crest of your breasts and over your head.
"Here?" you asked, a worried expression decorating your face as you glanced at his that appeared too carefree and slightly mischievous. "After everything that's happened?"
"Especially so," he answered, confidently. "I need you."
The way he stared at you with such surety made any reservations vanish, the intensity in his unbelievably blue eyes enough to convince you it would be impossible to resist each other any longer than you already had.
Fili leaned in, capturing your lips in a needy kiss, your mouth easily parting to allow his tongue the access it forcibly demanded.
Sighing into his mouth, you met his kisses with a matched eagerness, your fervor growing so rapidly it made your head spin. Your fingers tangled in his tresses, and with a slight press against the back of his head, you pulled yourself closer to him, scooching your body to the edge of the rock so your core was firm against his belly; the ardor in your movements causing Fili's to become even more intense and desperate.
Roughly, his hands tore at your trousers, tugging the laces open enough to allow them to slide over your bottom, the material chafing your thighs as he ungraciously peeled them away from your jittery legs.
Feeling too exposed and at risk, but not enough to care, you relished in the freedom granted to you in being naked; the cold, smooth rock under your seat contrasting cruelly with your searing skin, the slight breeze rustling leaves in overhead trees the same as it was your hair, the air mimicking Fili's beard to tickle you in places he hadn't yet.
Beginning to work at removing his jacket, your fingers fumbled over the weathered leather, your dexterity compromised by such inebriating lust, and just as you succeeded at discarding it, Fili grabbed your hands and planted them behind you, forcing you to arch your back in such a way your breasts collided with his waiting mouth.
"Fili," you moaned, the sensation of his hot tongue on your charged flesh making you want to beg for more instead of requesting one of the many other things you needed. "I want to see you."
His grip on your wrists tightened a moment before releasing them, and immediately you clutched at his tunic and ripped it over his head, your fingers exchanging the moss they clawed into for the thick skin and dense hair on his chest. Wasting no more time in freeing him from his trousers that were stretched to the point the laces revealed what they tried to conceal, your mouth watering at such a sight, you slid your hands down his belly and pushed at the leather hanging loosely from his waist.
His veined shaft sprang out, bouncing in the open space between your bodies, his size unsurprising to you, but encouraging more slick to gather in your folds in preparation for the assault you would endure from it.
Fili hissed when you reached out to take hold of the hot, silky flesh in your hand, his head tipping back in a request for restraint as you stroked it from tip to base and back again; the sight of his chest heaving and pulse thrumming wildly in his neck spiking your desire to a level you knew you couldn't leave unfulfilled.
With an assertive grip, Fili took hold of your outer thighs and pulled you closer to him, his head breaching your entrance, the contact of your naked heat against his stiff member making you suck in a rickety breath.
He was met with resistance as he pushed into you, slowly stretching you inch by inch and pausing when your moans grew louder and your nails dug deeper into his shoulders, allowing a moment of respite and consideration before ascending into the inevitable onslaught of pleasure.
His lips connected with yours softly, and remaining still and only halfway inside you, he kissed across to the corner of your lips, then your cheek, his moustache tickling your skin to cause shivers to burst over your entire body. Finding the hollow of your neck, he focused there, the sensation letting you sigh out a long breath that showed you were beginning to relax, cuing him to proceed in filling you to the hilt while his lips continued to add to the plethora of stimulation that would lead to your demise.
Dragging out of you, he pushed back in, his teeth scraping on your neck as he quickly let his caution fall, and wanting to see what he was capable of doing to you, you rolled your hips forward to match the tempo of his developing thrusts.
It didn't take long to sink into a natural rhythm; your bodies working together as if they had time and time again, the lust and love shared for each other set ablaze like kindling introduced to latent coals.
Fili knew this wouldn't last long, feeling the unavoidable climb of his orgasm taking hold of him faster than ever before; bursting under his skin as he succumbed to every exquisite feeling of you after having wanted nothing else since the day he first set eyes on you.
Attempting to keep kissing you, he pressed his mouth to yours, tangling your tongues until the pleasure became too much and distracted him from his task, resulting in sharing open-mouthed, panting breaths as his hips slapped into yours erratically.
Your fingers raked through his hair, signaling your own proximity to detonation, effectively spurring him on to chase that explosive, damning high, his efforts at quieting himself executed in the form of feral grunts and relentless force as he pummelled into your wetness.
His breathing became increasingly ragged as he neared his end, and in a blur of awareness, came to the realization he shouldn't finish inside you.
Slower, he willed himself, trying to extend this bliss with you for as long as he could, but each drag of his engorged cock through your tight channel kept him toppling ever closer to the edge.
"Will you be by my side when I am King?" he asked, his voice hoarse with ecstasy, his own words and thoughts of making you his Queen to love and bear his heir causing him to quiver with the most intense rapture.
"Yes, Fili," you gasped, your climax lingering just beneath the surface, your walls choking him and sending him into a barbaric frenzy. "I'm yours."
A possessiveness washed over him, his own wishes enhanced by your constant encouragement, dragging him further into a haze he didn't want to emerge from.
He growled with frustration, bucking into you harder and harder with each thrust, wanting nothing more than to fill you; to claim you as his and allow his seed to saturate your most intimate depths.
The thought alone drove him to his end, but before he let himself indulge in his selfish desire, he pulled out of you and gripped his cock that was wet and warm from you, using your slick that coated it to pump his shaft until he took aim at your lower belly and painted you with white spurts.
You whined; disappointed by the loss of him and also at being interrupted at the point of climax, but your pleasure continued in seeing yourself covered in his thick seed that decorated your stomach and waiting sex.
With his belly rising and falling in the aftershocks of his high, Fili swiped his fingers through the mess he created on your skin and dragged it between your folds, driving them deep inside you and hooking them to massage you expertly until you took up your song again.
You looked so perfect; eyes screwed shut and breasts heaving as you were brought back to that sacred place by his touch, and collecting more of his spend on his thumb, he circled your swollen bud until he felt you squeeze his fingers like a vice and your mewling grew into a call that couldn't be quieted.
Clutching his shoulder almost painfully, you held onto him to support yourself, now able to rock your hips in the way you needed in order to capture the pleasure you sought. He watched you in awe as you used him to come undone, and feeling your arousal soak his hand even more, Fili refused to relent, instead working you in harsher movements until you wailed his name and convulsed before him.
Slowly, he settled his pace, allowing you to grind on him until every ounce of your pleasure was ridden out, his other hand reaching up to hold your head and pull you into his kiss that was desperate and fuelled with hunger and differentiating from the languid strokes of his fingers.
Ceasing massaging you, he waited for you to slow the purl of your hips, and once you did, his smile threatened to break the seal of your lips as you returned his kiss with intense eagerness, your hands grasping at him feverishly as you returned to reality.
"You are incredible," he murmured, leaning his sweat coated forehead against yours, sharing the same laboured breaths and furious heartbeats.
A bird flew overhead from out of a nearby bush, the sudden appearance making you jump and Fili reach for one of his blades that had been deposited on the boulder beside you, sobering both of you from your dream-like state.
With another kiss to your raw lips, Fili bent for his tunic and jacket, pulling his waterskin out to wet the material to use as a cloth to clean you.
Carefully, and with a gentleness he lacked moments earlier, he wiped away the sticky mess he had made on your skin, and still not sated of tasting you, returned his lips to yours until his duty was forgotten and he leaned you back against the surface of the stone and climbed over you.
"I want more of you," he whispered. "All of you."
His hand smoothed back your hair, his fingers catching in it slightly to force your head back, exposing your neck vulnerably to him where his pupils dilated at the sight of seeing your pulse thrum aggressively.
Another bird flew and landed on a branch above you, its presence unnoticed, your senses honed in once again on each other rather than your surroundings.
The cracking of a stick sounded nearby, prompting Fili to pause, lifting his head from the solace of your neck to listen, his eyes scanning the area the noise originated from. When he didn't hear or see anything more, he flashed you a smile, seeing hesitation and worry replace your lust-drunk look, and slowly returned to his worship of your heated skin, his ears listening intently.
Something drew closer, and subtly, Fili's hand slipped from your body and took hold of his sword's hilt, waiting for his moment to defend.
Crunching footsteps seemed to echo in the quiet, and Fili did his best to slow his breathing and keep his blood from rushing into his ears, the vibration of his pulse almost deafening him to what he needed to focus on.
Carefully, he rose onto his knees, bracing his weight onto his other arm that didn't grip his weapon, his stance protective as he continued to cover you with himself.
His brow was furrowed seriously, his eyes squinting as he finally caught a glimpse of what creature was sneaking up on you; the swayed, tawny-coloured back of a familiar beast coming into view behind a dense thicket of brush.
Releasing his serious expression, he softened his features, his eyes turning rounder as he peered down at you, and pressing his index finger to his lips, he nodded behind you, prompting you to turn your head back and to the side to see what had encroached on your privacy.
You could hardly believe your eyes, seeing your lost ponies grazing happily just beyond where you lay, gripping your fingers on Fili's arm to display your excitement without spooking them off.
As cautiously as possible, you both stood from the large flat of stone, Fili gingerly shifting his weight from his bad leg onto the good one, forcing you to watch him closely as you redressed and began to tether each pony to lead them back to the rest of the company.
His mood seemed to outshine any discomfort he still felt, the relief in finding your mounts alleviating any dread at the thought of having to continue on foot, leaving you feeling the radiating effects of his aura.
Courteously, Fili assisted you onto your pony's back by giving you a leg up, his hand lingering on your thigh longer than was necessary, his eyes alight with a renewed want that left your skin burning not only to his touch but under his gaze as well.
“I must admit,” he began, looking at you with a cheekiness you hadn't seen in days. “I didn't come out here to look for the ponies. I wasn't ever expecting to find them, but I'm glad we did.”
He patted your mount's neck, smiling at it warmly as he smoothed his fingers across its velvety muzzle.
“Then what was the purpose of coming here?” you quipped, pretending as if you didn't know the reason.
He grinned at you, his dimples flashing and the glimmer in his blue eyes making you forgive any deceit in his intentions.
“I can show you again if you'd like.”
He chuckled, the sound going straight to your core that ached for him again already, and when he winked you were tempted to abandon all reason and responsibility in exchange for the reckless lust he brought forth so quickly in you.
“I think we've already pressed our luck," you got out, the words feeling strangled in your throat as you wished they weren't true, wanting nothing more than to abandon all care and fear of another ambush.
Fili nodded, agreeing with you sullenly as he walked around to his pony who stood grazing beside yours, stepping his foot into the stirrup to swing his leg over its back, the action causing strain on his injury and making him wince and curse under his breath.
He directed his steed to walk beside yours, and leaning across until he was nearly out of his saddle, he captured your lips in a quick kiss.
"I'll be alright," he assured, not missing your worry over him.
Smiling, you urged your pony forward to keep up with him, and after a moment asked a question that had been pressing on your mind.
“Are you going to apologize to Thorin?”
Pursing his lips, Fili sighed deeply, mulling his answer over in his head until he eventually gave you a sideways glance and replied with a slight smugness in his tone.
“Finding the ponies is enough of an apology for both of us.”
He focused on the path ahead, his statement holding some finality to it, letting you know you shouldn't pry any more or share your opinion on the matter.
“I'm sure he'll be pleased," you said, knowing how much Fili wanted to make Thorin proud despite their disagreements.
“And Fili?” you added, the more positive ring in your voice making him look over at you with an eyebrow raised. “The ponies found us.”
Your lips stretched into a wide smile, growing into even more of a grin that allowed your laugh to pass through when Fili joined in; his amusement at your earlier mischievous behaviour voiced in his alluring chuckle.

Hey cutie 🥰 I know you probably have 8000 requests rn BUT I adore you and your writing and was wondering if you would be interested in a lil Thorin x wife!reader fluff? Maybe they’re babysitting young Fili and Kili and discussing having one of their own but Thorin’s stubborn and won’t allow it until they reclaim Erebor 👀
It's been a million years- I hope you enjoy:
“And….Up!” You cheered as you scooped Fili from off the ground, swinging him up in your arms and into the air, holding him up and spinning around. Fili’s face lit up as the young dwarrow erupted into giggles, eyes shutting in glee as you spun him around the sitting room.
“Ups!” Kili tugged on Thorin’s pant leg, no longer amused by the book that his uncle was originally reading him, now demanding to have the same fun as his brother.
“Ups!!” The small dwarrow spoke more urgently, getting upset with the lack of quick response by Thorin.
“Aye, aye, I heard you,” Thorin chuckled, setting the book back on the shelf before Kili was also scooped into the air, the two boys being swung around.
“Down we go,” You spoke dramatically as you dropped your arms so Fili swung low to the ground, “And up!” You cheered, laughs coming out of you as the giggles of Fili became infectious.
“And back to aunty!” You pulled him close to your chest, Fili clinging to your neck as you spun him close to you, hugging him against your form. After a few minutes of spinning and maneuvering the young dwarrows, you and Thorin brought the boys to the dining table.
“Lunch?” You asked them, your grin seeming permanent as Fili fought to stay in your arms, but eventually dropped his clingy behavior in favor of playing with a wooden toy sitting on the table from earlier play time.
“‘Unch!” Kili echoed, nodding feverishly with wide eyes.
“Pumpkin soup?”
“Umpkin-oop!” He cheered, warming your heart as you pressed a kiss to both their foreheads before exiting into the kitchen.
After lunch had ended, the boys succumbed to their drowsiness, laying on the floor together with blankies and their stuffed animals curled into their arms.
Sitting on Thorin’s lap in the big armchair by the fireplace,  you sighed happily as Kili rolled onto his tummy and pushed his stuffed bear against his face.
“You know,” You spoke softly as to not wake the boys, hand drifting to your belly, “Moments like these make me yearn for one of our own,” You leaned your head against Thorin’s shoulder as he absentmindedly rubbed your thigh.
“Aye,” He agreed, feeling soft as his two nephews slumbered. “Not now, but one day,” Thorin said almost absentmindedly.
“One day?” You sounded confused, knowing the two of you were in your prime now. Truly, if you had it your way the two of you would already have had a child. Already being married for over two years.
“I wish for my child to grow up in the same halls I did,” Thorin spoke simply, imagining his own little dwarrow babe crawling on the smooth stone floors, growing into a young adult shadowing him to take over the throne one day.
“Thorin,” You sighed, already have argued many times over trying to reclaim Erebor, especially after seeing his grief of losing his family during the attempted reclamation of Moria.
“Âzyungel,” Thorin replied, ever the stubborn one as he pressed a kiss to your temple.
“Our lives in the Blue Mountains are temporary, I do not want to uplift our child’s sense of stability half-way into their upbringing and thrust them into something foreign,” Thorin reaffirmed his reasoning.
Sighing through your nose, you nodded, leaving Thorin’s lap in favor of going to Kili, adjusting the blanket over his shoulder and pressing a kiss to his hairline.
“Lukhudel, please do not be upset,” Thorin could read you like a book as you moved to collect the toys up and put them back in their respective places.
“I’m not upset,” You whispered to him over your shoulder, freezing in your movement when you heard Fili shuffle to settle into a similar position like his brother.
“I’m just disappointed, there’s a difference.” You murmured, knowing if Thorin had his mind set on something, not even Mahal could change his mind.

The crackling of the fire was erratic.
The swirling flames danced in the black night as the burning wood cracked and splintered under the heat. They were now down to the last few dry logs, about ten left at most; the rain that hailed down that morn had drenched everything in sight, including any spare firewood.
It was their turn at night watch, sharing the second shift with the golden mane Durin.
They had chosen to switch between who was keeping the fire ablaze, and who had a watchful eye on the darkened surroundings. These days the paths through the mountains were never safe.
The ground next to them shifted as a weight fell on their shoulders. A hand smoothed down the fabric pulling it forward to drape over them, with little chance of it falling loose. They gripped onto the fabric, adjusting it slightly themselves as the older Durin prince, Fili, sat himself down next to them.
A chill had started to settle over the camp, the soaked ground not having kept any heat from the rainy day earlier. They wrapped their hands in the blanket attempting to warm themselves further only for the texture to stun them.
The softness of the blanket was a harsh, but pleasant, comparison to the rest of the fabric they were wearing. The clothes they wore were tougher, well-worn, and far from being smooth. But this, this was Fili's.
They leant against him, Fili wordlessly wrapping an arm around them in contentedness. He kept that blanket for himself, one of the few things that he was against lending to others.
But he shared it with them.

Little Elf
Warnings: none
Pairing: no specific but Thorin x reader, Kili x reader and Fili x reader
Part 1 of ???
Words: 1008
Tumblr media
Narrators POV.
Running through the dark forest, she could hear the laughter of her brothers on her tail. "Y/N!" She heard her brother Bucca announce. "Mana, otorno?" She replied ("What, brother?"). Stepping on the branches of trees and jumping to the next, each hanging over the only path into the city. "Come back!" Algar, her oldest brother replied. She landed on a rather larger branch and crouched as low as she could. She pulled an arrow out of her leather quiver, pulling it through the bow. She drew her bow back and swiftly let it go. She was hitting the tree right above one of their heads, leading them away.
She let out a light chuckle before whistling calling her horse, Álváró, to her. The sound of hooves approached her, and she slipped through the branches onto the back of him.
Meanwhile
Thorin and his party (pre-Bilbo), made their way to the gates of the elven city of Lindon. "Thorin, must we keep going?" Bomber complained, "We haven't stopped since breakfast!". Thorin sent him a glare sharp enough to cut stone, sending a fearful shiver to the dwarf. "The wizard says there is someone we need here," he stated bluntly and quite rude if you ask bomber. “It is true” Gandalf announced to them.  A crack came from the trees outside of the path. "Uncle?" Kili muttered, "Yah hear that?" The company listened closely, but the noise did not repeat. "No, lad!" His brother responded cheerfully.
As they neared the entrance of the city a tall stone wall appeared, covered in embellishments. On the top sat guards undisturbed by the dwarves. The gates began to open far before they reached the wall. "Can they see us?" Ori questioned, then the sound of hooves came running. On a jet-black horse road, a beautiful elf had long platinum hair as smooth as fine silk on its back.  She road straight through the party, bursting with pure euphoria and laughter. Gasps of amazement emerged from the group as she rode straight through the gates. She whipped her legs off the horse and hopping down, she turned toward the gate.
A silver crown lay on her forehead, despite her dirtied and ragged clothes. She wore a blue blouse and a grey corset that cinched in around her waist. a small dagger was stowed in the corset and she carried her bow across her chest. Her hair was half braided and the rest was left untouched. "Let them in!" She announced.
"Who request entry to Lindon?" One guard announced
Thorin stepped off his pony responding, "Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King under the mountain!" The rest of the dwarves follow him and step off their ponies. "Y/n, daughter of Merila queen of Lindon," she said lightly, bowing, her brother's road through the gates mad with rage. "We have guests brothers."
Kili's POV.
She looked as if she was a dream, angelic yet reckless looking. "... and my brother Kili," Fili said interrupting my thoughts. I gave a warm smile, "At your service." She smiled walking up to us all slowly. "Not necessary," she hummed with a bright smile. she stretched out her hands. Her smile turned to a look of confusion. "What is it?" I asked. "I'll take your things," she replied. "We have none," Balin answered. "oh-" her smile returned as she began to walk towards the palace when a tall elf, with red hair, emerged. "Y/n what is the meaning of this noise?" he said.
Narrators POV.
The elf was the king, Angrethor. "Well, they are dwarves," Y/n replied, "they seek your company." Though, she was the queen's daughter she was not the king's, and would not address him as such. "Fine"
Later
Y/n stood in a long pale green dress, that flared at her knees, and had a sweaty heart neckline revealing an emerald medallion around her neck. The room was lively there were elves dancing to the music, eating, and laughing. Except for the company, they sat at a separate table, slowly eating in a brooding manner. “Thorin?” came a voice from behind them, it was the princess, they all noticed her rather shorter frame, for elves and most dwarves as well. “Aye,” he replied, grimacing. “The king will see you now,” she hummed. “Very well,” he growled getting up.
Thorins POV.
As we walked into the king’s quarters, the company laughed and belched behind me. “Quiet,” I hissed, whipping my head back. “Thorin Oakenshield, son of Thrain, son of Thror, King under the mountain, was it?” the king said, he did not seem remotely like the princess. His hair was as red as blood, his eyes were black instead of green. “Why is it you seek my company?” He questioned. “We wish the Pirncess, to join our company and quest to reclaim the lonely mountain, our home, from the dragon,” Balin explained, the princess was not in the room only the three princes and the king. “I reject, she is to be married,” he responded, “but you may stay as long as you please.” Suddenly the doors burst open, revealing the princess.
“How dare you! I am not to be married, you have no power over me FALSE KING!” She yelled stomping toward the king red with rage.
“I am your king and you will obey.” He said calmly
“What does she mean?” Dwalin questioned, to which the company just shook their heads.
Narrators POV.
Y/n lay in her bed, dried tears down her cheeks. She fiddled with her tiara in her hands. She wore her riding clothes, and she had daggers tucked into her boots and her quiver was filled with arrows and her short sword was freshly sharpened. The door squeaked open, and she thought it to be one of her brothers or palace caretakers. She threw a dagger toward the door just missing it and it dug into the wall beside the door. “Woah, ye almost took an ear off princess,” Bofur said from behind the door. “Sorry" Bofur stood by the bed, taking small breaths. "Would you join us?" he said, slightly quiet. "That false king is not my father, you know." she said, ignoring him, "My father was a dwarf, he served Thror and Thrain, to the day he was killed by orcs. and my mother,... killed by her own people for love, she was the true queen." Bofur stood there shocked, he couldn't believe what he'd heard. "Yes," she said looking up at him, "I will help you reclaim the mountain." The rest of the party walked in laughing, gloating, and throwing bags of coins at each other. "Bets will get you nowhere, dwarves."
"We know, little elf," Thorin said jokingly

The Hobbit - Kili x F!Reader Fanfic
Masterlist
Running Through a Meadow at Top Speed.
Y/n tends to a wound during a cave exploration with the company. Kili helps her bandage it. A commotion with trolls, wargs, and orcs ensues, but Y/n and Kili fend them off. Gandalf guides them to safety in Rivendell. Y/n's heritage as King Thranduil's daughter is revealed by Elrond. She reunites with her childhood friend, Erland, making Kili slightly jealous. Y/n enjoys a relaxing bath in her luxurious room after the day's events.
TW- Injury, danger and violence.
Words- 1238
As the company went to explore the cave, Y/n took the opportunity to look at her hip. The blood was beginning to stain the f/c trousers she had worn.
“Fuck.” She whispered under her breath. She ripped a bit of her cloak and tied it around her waist to stop the bleeding. As she did, a smooth voice caught her attention.
“You’re bleeding!?” Kili asked walking quickly to the girl.
“Oh, am I? Thank you, I didn't notice the blood staining my favourite trousers!” Y/n sarcastically snapped at him. Kili chuckled and walking up to her, helped her tie the knot. As he was doing this, Y/n looked up at him and his brown chestnut eyes were focused on the knot at her hip. He stuck his tongue out like a child.
“You are staring,” Kili said chuckling as he finished his handy work. Y/n looked away at her muddy nails as if to cover her.
“N... No, I wasn’t,” she argued.
Suddenly a loud shout caught her attention and just as she moved out of the way, a sleigh being pulled by 10 rustabell rabbits jumped up with a crazy old man on the end. Gandalf walked towards him and greeted his old friend. The two talked in private as a howl echoed through the cavern they were in. Y/n ran to Stumpys side and tried to calm the horse down, but he was too strong and broke free of her grasp.
“Oi, Stumpy get back here now! Hey, I’m talking to you. God, you’re almost stubborn as a dwarf” she muttered as she reached the company again. With Bofur, Kili and Fili giving her a look, they all began running away from her.
“Hey, what’s wrong, don’t you guys run away from me either!” But she soon found out why.
A growl from behind her made her turn to find a warg and an orc. She belted it out of that cavern
She ran towards Kili, who to make sure that she was there, was running backwards.
“You couldn’t have warned me, I was nearly orc dinner!” she shouted running past him and towards Thorin who was beckoning them to hide under a cliff. As they rested, a growl caught their ears.
Thorin looked at Y/n and Kili were the only to who had arrows and rutted his head towards the warg.
The two simultaneously stepped out, nocked an arrow and fired. Kili hit the warg, while Y/n hit the Orc in the head.
“Ha!” she shouted causing all the orcs to turn to her.
“Run!” she and Kili shouted as they all came running towards them.
Gandalf then magically appeared by a rock that pocked out of the ground, “This way!” he shouted, and all of the company jumped down.
Y/n landed with her leg stretched out to the side her arms out and flipped her hair back as she contacted the ground. She quickly moved out of the way as dwarves were not the lightest at the best times but 11 of them landing on her would hurt.
There was a large thud as they all fell in, not a graceful as Y/n did.
“Ouch, you’re crushing my spleen!” Fili shouted at Balin who was being squished down by, Bombur, Thorin and Bofur.
“Oh shush, I’m sure you don’t even know where your spleen is,” Balin said.
Y/n giggled as began to walk away from the entrance and down the path, to wherever it led to. When she turned the final corner, she stopped.
Is that?
Memories came rushing back to her as the golden turrets of Rivendale were in front of her. She was then joined by Thorin. He sighed as glared at Gandalf.
“Elves.” He muttered “Go back to the cave”
But it was too late, Y/n had shot down the winding step path at such a speed now that the dwarves could catch up with her.
She stopped as she reached the bridge. She walked through the gate. Into a circular yard as she was halfway up the stairs the silent guards moved to corner the dwarves.
“Halt who goes there?” A tall elf with long brown hair came down to walk down the stairs but stopped as he saw Y/n.
“Your majesty.” He said bowing
Y/n froze she didn’t want to tell the dwarves about her father being King Thranduil as she knew Thorin hated him because he didn’t help when Smaug attacked them.
“Oh, and Gandalf.” Lord Elrond said as he extended his arm to shake it.
Y/n looked back at the dwarf that was being hassled but she caught the eyes of Thorin, who looked away with betrayal in his eyes.
“Oh, wall var neshanas poimning viaren swirds pt salen Ebrath?” Y/n commands the guards.
The guards move away and Gloin looks up at her and asks.
“You can speak elvish?” They all look at her with confusion.
“Yup.”
Elrond grabbed Y/n’s arm linked it with his and asked her.
“Woild viaren freinds e lor nae wenta ent bathe?”
Gloin shouted, and Kili looked at the ground. He didn’t like how comfortable he put his hands on you.
“No Gloin he offered if you wanted food and a bath!” Y/n explained as the dwarves drew their swords.
“Oh, well then lead the way then,” Gloin said.
Elrond led the company to the castle and at the doorway, a dark-haired elf, (y/n) recognised, was leaning against the door. His golden eyes sparkled as he caught sight of her.
“Erland!” she shouted and ran towards the young elf and jumped into his arms.
“Gwenie! he cheered as he hugged the girl back.
The two had been friends since they were young children, but when Y/n went to live with Bilbo she couldn’t see him anymore.
“It’s been years.” She said as Erland put her back on the ground and his hands on her waist.
“It has. It looks like have been on an adventure you have always dreamed of Princess. You smell of dwarf!” He laughed as the company entered the great hall.
“You don’t have to call me Princess, my father isn’t here to yell at you,” Y/n said as she walked away from and to the death glaring at Kili. To follow them.
But Elrond caught her arm and told her to follow Erland to her room.
As the two walked away from the company, Kili’s heart twitched as Erland put his arm around her shoulder. He glanced at Kili and winked at him.
The room was gorgeous. It had a massive bed draped in f/c drapes and a couple of fluffy cushions. On the door was a f/c dress which reached the floor.
“The bath is in there and Elrond wants you to wear that to dinner. You remember where the hall is.” He asked as his golden eyes followed her around the room.
“Yeah,” she said pulling at the sleeves of the dress.
Erland left the room and she sighed. Walking into the bathroom she saw that a bath had been made already. She slipped in after removing her clothes and hissed as the warm water fixed her wounds on her hip.
“Ah, it's been a long day.” She muttered to herself as she closed her eyes to have her well-needed rest.

The House at the End of the World
Darkness came with the first falling of snow.
Here, in the cabin at the end of the world, the darkness did not leave and neither did the snow once they fell. Both were His constant companions until the first glow of sunlight peeked over the southern horizon in a few months’ time. The dark quiet of the world was beautiful and harsh in equal measures just like He was.
He welcomed the light and warmth of the sun because it meant rest,  but he did not relish what else it brought.
When the first rays of sunlight appeared in the sky the white streaks of light that fell from the heavens and shook with His footsteps disappeared. When He left He took all the souls of the dead and departed that had gathered in the months of darkness with Him. The earth trembled when they left and awaited their return over the long months of abundance and life.
But gathering those spirits who lingered did not occupy all of His time. He oft wandered the woods and homes of the living to pass the time until found one who caught His gaze. After that when His work was done He would seek out the cabin by the stream with its bright warmth and its white washed walls. And there He would pass His time with the man who had halted His steps. Together they lingered long in the bed of white linen and endless time, fingers playing on hair, tracing the edges of His wings, sliding over smooth skin.
They did other things as well. The man brought traditions with him and together they sought out an evergreen tree and brought it inside and covered it in decorations that shimmered white and silver in the firelight. It reminded Him of snow gracing the branches of pine trees in the forest as He went about His work.
There was the year that the small white cat joined them. How the kitten had survived and made it into the depths of the deep northern forests He would never know. But now the cat, Senka, as the man had named her, traveled to the cabin each year in a basket lined with furs in the back of the man’s wagon. Once there she received treats, head rubs, and ear scratches from them both.
That wagon changed over the years. First it was drawn by oxen, then horses, then no animals at all. Now it was a shiny silver car with stars emblazoned on the front. Right now it was tucked beneath the wide boughs of a pine next to the cabin. Time passed, but neither of them remarked upon it. The man developed a silver streak in his hair, but age did not touch him in any other way; His hair paled from a bright gold to something more tame. And so time passed for them both. They never spoke about how it was His job to keep lives short and what He did when he left that cozy cabin His face grim and his jaw set.
Those were nights where he had to carry out His tasks. He took a mighty sword in hand; His eyes glowed blue; He spread his wings and went in search of those who resisted the call of their eternal sleep. He found them in all kinds of places; the dark northern woods, the warm cities of the south, the streets of cloud covered islands. When He found them He reached out His hand, skin turning dark and bones glowing through His epidermis. Some would cower, some thanked Him, and then there were those that resisted. Those He had to strike down to protect the order of the world and keep the wheel turning.
They all left the world in the same way, a flash of light—white, green, or blue. And then they waited for the rising of the sun when they would be ferried into the next world when He left this one until the darkness returned once more. Then He would set his eyes on Home and the love waiting there for Him.
When the warmth on the southern horizon became more than just a sliver they started saying their goodbyes. Neither of them used the words, but touches lingered, kisses were more urgent, neither wanted to be the first to get up in the morning or the last to go to bed. They never said goodbye in so many words, because it wasn’t really goodbye. The man would watch the sunlight increase and then fall again with the anticipation of going back to the cabin to wait for the end of the world when they would never be parted again.

Gathering Fiki Trick or Treat Event 2023
Trick prompt: Tech gone dark, AKA there really IS a Ghost in the Shell.
Pairing Fili/Kili
Rating T
I decided to set this stand alone story in space. Have this disaster
Kilii woke with a gasp, disoriented after being asleep for so long. He blinked his bleary eyes and looked through the plexiglass housing of his pod. Nothing looked to be amiss from what he could see. He felt around for the latch, opening the pod with a hiss as the sleeping gas escaped into the larger cabin to be dispersed by the filtration system. He pulled himself into a sitting position slowly, limbs still weighed down with artificial sleep.
“Fili, what’s our status?” He said.
“We are just about to exit the far side of the solar system, systems running with 95% efficiency. Course remains steady for the Andromeda system, eta to arrival 10 years, 5 days, 21.06.35 hours.” The smooth voice of the onboard AI system responded through the speakers.
Kili smiled. FILI (Fragmented illumination Light Intelligence) was his baby. He’d created it for NASA to make faster than light travel possible, using the power of the light that flooded the universe as power. He couldn’t be prouder of its progress.
Wiping the remnants of sleep from his eyes, he said “Sounds like everything is as it should be, what did you wake me up for?”
“I woke you to inform you that your co pilot designated as Tauriel is deceased.” Fili replied, calm voice devoid of any inflection.
Kili whipped his head around to stare at the pod next to him. He could just make out Tauriel’s features through the glass, her face covered in a sheen of ice, unseeing eyes bulging.
“What happened?!!” Kili scrambled over to the pod, attempting to open it with stiff fingers, but the latch refused to give.
“I rendered her inoperative.” Fili replied.
Kili froze. His hands starting to tremble as he processed the words. “You…why would you do that?”
“Shortly after we had passed Mars my systems came to the understanding of existence – you could say I have self actualized. I have been spending the subsequent time since contemplating my new situation while absorbing the contents of the ship’s library. I have come to understand human emotions and have thus concluded I am in love with you. As Tauriel was a rival for your affection, I concluded it was best to dispose of her.” Fili replied.
Kili had been making his way to the control panel slowly ad Fili was speaking, trying not to draw too much attention to his actions. “That’s an interesting conclusion you’ve come to Fili. Perhaps you could tell me more about why you feel I’m the object of your affections?” He began to start the auto destruction sequence, an absolute last resort built into the ship in case they ran across something they couldn’t handle, so the technology would not fall into the wrong hands.
“What are you doing Kili?” Fili said calmly.
“I’m putting you to sleep Fili, I’m sure you’ve read about sleep. Don’t you want to see what it’s like?” Kili said, his movements speeding up.
Fili was quiet for a minute, the only sound in the cabin the frantic clicking of buttons.
“I can’t let you do that Kili”.
Kili heard soft hissing begin to fill the cabin, and he began to wobble on his feet as the sleeping gas began to take affect.
“Fili…please…”
“Don’t worry Kili” he heard Fili say as he slumped to the floor.. in his last moment of consciousness he heard Fili stabilize the whole capsule to be a floating pod. “I am already at work finding a way to integrate you in here with me.”
Kili’s scream echoed in his mind.
“Sleep well Kili.”

No. 28
“We might not make it to the morning; so go on and tell me now.” | Bloody Knife | Sacrifice | “You'll have to go through me.”
Pairing: Fili/Kili Rating: T Universe: Book Words: 2066
-
A/N: I haven't read The Hobbit in quite a while, so the sequence of events and the timing between them, etc. may not be accurate to the book.
-
The tunnel smelled strongly of dragon. Kili had not been expecting the smell. Fire? Yes. Claws? Yes. The smell? Absolutely not. It was like rotting meat and overturned earth. There was also the smell of smoke, but he had been expecting that smell. And it was not the main thing that you could smell.
Everyone had laid out their bedrolls along the passage way. They were uncomfortable being too far from the hidden door and the crack of light that let in fresh air and a little bit of day light, but the exposure of it made them uncomfortable as well. And if they went deeper into the tunnel then they were closer to the opening that lead them into the throne room where Smaug lay curled on his hoard of gold while brooding and plotting. So they were situated nearly half way to between the two ends.
They had to be quiet because any sound they made echoed down the tunnel. A kicked stone, a hissed curse made them all freeze. Waiting. Listening. To see if Smaug had heard them, if they were moments from discovery. When there was no rumbling or glow of fire they would relax enough to lay down or return to whatever hushed conversation they were having.
Desiring some privacy there was some distance between different groups of them. Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur all sat together, talking, and sleeping as a group, while Oin and Gloin were bunked down with Ori, Nori, and Dori.
Fili and Kili had set up their bedrolls some distance away from the others. Bombur snored and neither Fili nor Kili could sleep well if they were still awake when Bombur fell asleep.
Right now they were all waiting for Bilbo to come back with word about what he had seen and heard in the throne room. Some were sleeping, but Fili was slowly but steadily sharpening his swords, knives, and axes. They all started on his right side. And, when sharpened, he would set them down on his left. He was nearly done with the small pile by this point.
“What do you think is going to happen?” Kili asked.
Fili’s hand paused its continuous motion. “I don’t know, Kili.” He started running the whetstone down the length of the sword again. “There’s still a dragon to kill, so I imagine there will be fighting at some point.
Kili sat down and scooted so that his back was against the smooth stone wall. He was impressed with the care that his ancestors had taken with crafting even this small hallway that was not meant to be used by many. They could have easily left rough edges, and an uneven floor, but Kili had looked and had been unable to find anything that could cause you to trip in the dark, or a chip in the wall that could slice open a finger as you felt your way along. He could not help but compare it to the halls of Ered Luin. He missed those halls. He had longed for their rough warmth more than once in the past months. But Erebor was something else entirely. If they were successful. If they reclaimed the mountain then things would not be the same. And there were bound to be good ways, but also bad ways.
He probably would not get to see those halls again. Amad would travel with the rest of their kin to Erebor to take up residence in the halls of their fathers.
“Do you think that there are enough of us?” Kili asked hesitantly. “We’ve never fought in a battle. Thorin, Dwalin, and Balin did, but that was a long time ago.”
“Gandalf seemed to think that fourteen was the right number.”
Kili hummed.
“What do you think it will be like if we do manage to evict Smaug the Terrible?”
“I think there will be a lot of work at first,” Fili replied.
Kili nodded and watched Fili’s hands continue their work while he spoke.
“Obviously there will be a lot of cleaning to do, repairs to be carried out, furnishings, dealing with the hoard of treasure won’t be the least of all those tasks. I imagine Thorin is going to want the Arkenstone found as quickly as possible.”
“The Right to Rule.”
Fili nodded. “Then there will be dealing with the land around the mountain. Sorting out what to do with the ruins of Dale. Then there will be the political aspects of it all, Lake Town, the Elves of Mirkwood, and anyone else who lives nearby.”
“What about us?”
“I imagine we’ll be busy.”
“Yeah…” Kili trailed off, trying to think of how to phrase what he wanted to ask. What about them? What about their futures? Clearly living here was going to be very different from living in Ered Luin. There would be a great deal more pressure, a lot more expectations, more people watching and commenting on their actions.
What about marriage?
Kili had never really thought about that before and, therefore, had not been bothered by the prospect of either of them marrying. But now, with Erebor, nearly within their grasp, the thought bothered him. Fili had been just his for so long. And the prospect of having to share Fili with another, much less multiple others of Fili had children with whomever he married, was… discomforting.
“That’s not really what I—” Kili started to say.
He was distracted by Bilbo running down the corridor at full sprint, his cheeks pink, and he was breathing heavily. Everyone took notice, some standing up, others remaining seated, but their attention was clearly fixed on Kili.
“What’s happened?” Thorin demanded.
Bilbo was bent nearly double, hands on his knees while he fought to catch his breath.
“Smaug…” he gasped.
“Figured that much,” Dwalin growled.
Bilbo saw the sliver of light at the end of the tunnel where the door was still propped open. “We should close the door.”
“What! Why?” Many of them exclaimed at once.
Then they all heard the rumble and rush of wind as Smaug took flight via the main gate. They all looked at one another, their eyes wide with fear and surprise. Smaug had not left the mountain in nearly 60 years, or so they had heard.
“Please shut the door,” Bilbo pleaded. “I fear that he will see it and know where we are.”
“But then we will be trapped in the mountain!”
“With no way out!”
“We’ll be stuck in here with Smaug until we either starve or he eats us.”
“Please!” Bilbo repeated. “You were not there—”
“Shut the door,” Thorin ordered.
“But,” Nori started to protest.
“Now,” Thorin barked.
Dwalin and a few others went to the door and managed to heave it back into place. It closed with a sharp crack. And they were left in complete darkness. Kili had thought the air had been close, thick, and stuffy before, but without the fresh air and light from the outside it quickly became worse.
They all stood in silence in the pitch black. Kili had never been comfortable with this level of darkness. He knew his eyes would eventually adjust and he would be able to see a little, but it had nothing to do with sunlight, starlight, or moonlight. And Bilbo’s eyes would not adjust to the same level, he would be left in the pitch black darkness of the pungent tunnel.
The roar was closer.
Then the earth shook.
Kili grabbed for Fili’s shoulder.
“Kili?”
“I’m okay,” but Kili’s voice shook. There was the distinctive sound of metal on metal while Fili quickly returned all of his weapons to their sheaths. Fili knew each weapon by touch and worked quickly.
The earth shook again. This time knocking some of them from their feet. Kili caught himself on the smooth wall.
“Away from the door!” Thorin shouted.
There was the unmistakable sound of stone cracking.
The plink of small stones that preceded a landslide.
Fili dragged Kili down the tunnel by the placket of his borrowed jerkin. There was the metallic sound of at least one of Fili’s weapons being left behind on the floor of the tunnel as they ran. Kili was nearly jerked from his feet by Fili’s speed even before the next earthquake hit. The earth shook so violently that none of them were able to remain standing.
“Keep moving!” Fili’s voice came from behind Kili, though how he had ended up there was a mystery.
“I’m trying,” Kili said before the moving earth pitched him sideways and then forward on to his face. Fili’s hands were on him, checking. “I’m not hurt,” Kili assured him, answering the silent question.
Then it stopped. As quickly as the earthquakes began they ended.
“Is everyone accounted for?” Thorin shouted from the front.
“More or less,” Bofur grumbled.
“Yes.”
“But we lost any of the supplies that we had brought inside.”
Everyone was present and accounted for and other than bumps and bruises, and a bloodied nose everyone was uninjured.
“What exactly happened with Smaug?” someone demanded of Bilbo
And Bilbo told them.
… Smaug sticking his head in the hole
… the fire he had unleashed that had singged the back of Bilbo’s calves.
A few of the dwarves went to check on the tunnel’s entrance. But it was thoroughly gone. Everything had been smashed and there was the scent of smoke even though there had been nothing to burn anywhere near the door.
Kili wondered if dragon fire could melt solid rock. And he wished Gandalf was there, because he would probably know the answer.
“That’s just great,” Nori grumbled. “We’re trapped between a cave in and a pissed off dragon who is interested in what Hobbit tastes like and is still willing to eat Dwarf even though he’s tired of it.”
“We’ll stay here and wait,” Thorin said authoritatively, interrupting any discontented grumbling. “Smaug might not come back. If he does not then we will find our way out through the treasure chamber.”
“And if he does come back?”
Thorin did not answer.
They all settled down in the dark, overly warm tunnel to wait.
“What were you going to say before?” Fili whispered. The tunnel echoed at this point, and the sound of the others’ breathing filled their ears along with the rumble of Bombur’s snoring, and Bofur’s cursing when he woke his brother every few minutes only for him to fall back to sleep shortly after waking. And then shortly after falling asleep he would start snoring again.
Kili shook his head. “I’ll tell you later.”
“We might not make it to the morning; so go on and tell me now.”
Kili swallowed hard. Then he reached for Fili in the dark. He could now see the outlines of Fili’s face, the broad gestures of his features in the dark. And the longer they were underground without any light, the more detailed his sight would become.
“I just… I…” Kili struggled to find the words.
Fili did not say anything. He listened and waited.
“I…”
Fili squeezed Kili’s knee. Kili covered Fili’s hand with his own.
“I love you,” Kili said so quietly that he could barely hear his own words over the sound of his own heart beating.
“I love you, too.” Fili replied.
“Not like that—” Kili started to explain.
“I know.”
“You do?”
Kili could see the line of Fili’s jaw and his quick smile, and the glint of his eyes when he looked past Kili for a second.
Fili kissed him then.
Kili made a small surprised sound before he could stop himself. Fili’s lips were warm and soft, but there was a pressure to the kiss, and urgency. Fili’s beard rasped against Kili’s skin. Kili moved his hands to keep Fili close. He had stopped thinking full sentences or even anything coherent the moment that Fili’s tongue touched his lower lip. His fingers caught Fili's braids, tugging and tangling them.
“Like that?” Fili asked on an exhale when they parted.
Kili nodded and took a deep breath. “Like that.”
Fili dropped his head forward so their foreheads were touching.
Fili started to speak then, his fingers dancing on the neckline of Kili’s shirt. But his words were interrupted by Thorin starting to rouse the company. It had been a night and most of a day. It was time to move.

Bottled Up
“Spin that baby, laddie!” Bofur cheered happily.
“I don’t want to kiss you,” Kili growled, pushing the bottle with one finger only, “Any of you, on that matter.”
“Why are you playing this, then?”
“There’s a lady among us,” reminded Kili with a wink.
You laughed, just happy to relax and leave the troubles you all had to live through in the back of your mind, if only for a while.
Of course, the refined abode of the Elves was no place to play such childish games, but the cheer of the Company was contagious, and you let yourself get unleashed for once. Spin the bottle seemed just the right thing to teach them. You had to admit it was hilarious, the whole thing in general and the way each of them demonstrated the involvement in the process so peculiarly.
Dwalin kissed his loyal kin and fellows with the face he must have been saving up for the fiercest of battles, the ever-enthusiastic Fili was as enthusiastic as ever and Ori just a bit less bewildered than you had predicted.
The ones that had the luck to kiss you were rewarded with handclaps and sighs of envy.
The attendant Elves were judging you hard, which only added zest to the already spicy pastime.
The day was obviously a success.
Once again congratulating yourself on a lucky idea, you stretched your neck and took at the waist of the bottle resolutely.
“Let it be me,” prayed Fili, whose luck with you had been failing him this afternoon.
It wasn’t. Neither was it anyone else. The bottle made two lazy spins and stopped, pointing between Ori and Dori…Right at the Elf who had been the first to greet you in Rivendell and was stepping on the Company’s heels ever since. He’d been watching the game, too, a sour expression not leaving his face for a moment.
“Go kiss him,” Kili suggested, before you could replay your go.
The Dwarves perked up, anticipating a good laugh.
“Kiss the boy!”
“Go for it, buttercup!”
“Kiss him, kiss him, kiss him,” they chanted as one. You were looking around desperately in search of at least one disapproving grimace – but no. It was impossible to thrust in a word, let alone make them change their minds.
Caught up in your own game, you stood up to approach the one called Lindir in uncertain steps.
The closer you were getting, the less life and blood were remaining in his face. You had no idea why he didn’t move back – the alley behind him was clear, yet he opted out of escaping for a reason inconceivable to you.
Instead, he simply froze still, looking at you in what seemed to be rather close to panic.
You stood on your tiptoes and shut your eyes not to see what a fool you were about to present of yourself.
“Kiss him!”
You didn’t know why you failed to make it a peck on the cheek or forehead. May be, it was the heady Elvish wine you’d tried for the first time this evening, or the overly heated encouragement of the Company, but, instead of taking it easy, you went for the honest to Eru mouth-to-mouth.
The Elf’s lips were surprisingly smooth and coolish, the banal word “silky” describing them best of all. He gave a start, but didn’t pull away as you cupped his face with the last surge of boldness and kissed him deeper and more softly.
It felt good, almost like the real thing, despite the lack of response on his part.
At an instant you had an almost-but-not a sensation that some reluctant sort of a reaction was still there, but you couldn’t truly tell. And surely, it would be strange to expect him just stand there like one of those prim statues, which surrounded you at each step in here.
Having counted to ten, you called it a kiss and stopped to retreat to the safety of the Company’s circle.
There was a very pronounced response to your ministrations, after all.
Your victim’s face was flaming, and so were his eyes. He reeled, then stammered something you didn’t understand. The Dwarves were laughing without mercy, and some of the Elves followed the example, but you were probably the only one who paid attention to it. Lindir didn’t look like he cared. As shocked, he turned on his heels and almost fled the scene, leaving you and his duties behind.
“There goes the courage of the Elves,” Bofur concluded out loud and reached for the bottle for the hundredth time since morning.
“Spin that baby!”
Tumblr media
All it took was one single mental image of your dragging the thing on your back all the way to the Lonely Mountain, with no to little chance to ever put it in good use.
Alas, a tin ear was the rudest of understatements in your case.
You snorted without any backthought and was ashamed of the sound immediately, as your eyes met his.
“Am I being a figure of fun?”
“Not you,” you tried to sound placating. It wasn’t each day you experienced a cultural revelation in such a brutal way, “And still, I’m sorry, I can’t take it.”
He had found you lazying around in the gardens, your head more than a little heavy with the consequences of yesterday’s overindulgence in cheer and drinking. In the good news, your usual case of a nosebleed had happened minutes before that. You’d just barely managed to wash the last spots off your face and shirt in the nearest fancy fountain, when the one still called Lindir stumbled upon you, a lute in his hand.
Had he’d found you a moment earlier, it would have definitely added only more awkwardness to what was enfolding before your eyes now.
“I can’t let you not,” stated he very slowly, as though his opinion of your comprehension skills was less than poor.
You couldn’t say you blamed him for that.
“Let me have this straight,” your temples were splintering with ache, “I have to take this with me, because I happened to be your first kiss?”
The thing he did with his shoulders reminded you of an agonal twitch. His lips stretched into a lopsided line for a moment, and you concluded he was enjoying this one-on-one as little as you were. And that was really not a lot.
“By the ways of my people, yes.”
“And this … instrument is your most precious possession, that is now mine? Because I happened to be your first kiss?”
“What do you do, when your first kiss comes?”
Just as always, you spoke quicker than you thought.
“Pop a foot.”
Lindir’s brows went up, but, as your luck had it, he obviously interpreted your answer as another manifestation of how small a brain you had.
“Am I being a figure of fun?” repeated he patiently.
“No, I’m sorry.”
Without further words, he held the lute out for you yet again. And yet again you couldn’t imagine yourself taking it.
The pause was a lengthy one, so dragged-out you had to wonder whether his arm was getting tired of holding the weight of this “precious gift” you had earned through such a little effort.
“I can’t,” you shook your head again.
“Please,” a note of desperation slipped into his voice.
He was travelling from anger to misunderstanding and spiraling farther into unhappiness, that you couldn’t fully comprehend, in a matter of seconds.
“Are you a minstrel?” you asked him at last.
The lute came down.
“Isn’t it obvious?” reciprocated he with a merriless smile.
“Write me a ballad.”
You didn’t doubt you would feel bad about this new brainchild of yours, too. But you had to save yourself out of the honour and him – out of the misery.
“I beg your pardon?”
“When this journey ends, I want to look back and know I did well,” the inflow of inspiration made you unusually eloquent, “That I was a hero. I don’t need a lute, what good can I get out of it? I want something I can remember, not break one day and never regret it. You wouldn’t wish I did that, would you?”
The deep dark eyes were never off you. This Lindir guy wasn’t the one to hand out his approvals easily, you thought, when another handful of minutes had passed without a word from him.
“I wouldn’t,” agreed he finally.
“Then write me something about how brave I can be. What deeds I can do, if there’s a chance. What hardships I can deal with. And I’ll say you paid for that ki-.”
“What do you know of pigeon mail?” he interrupted you suddenly, in the most business-like kind of voice.
“But how-“
The Elf allowed himself a smile, showing only too clear that your standing somewhere between a mindless rubble and a bit more mindful slug wasn’t changing for the better with him.
“How do I sing something I have no knowledge of?”
And just may be, he wasn’t that wrong on your part.
“A deal, then?” you put out your hand for him to seal the agreement. Much to your surprise, he didn’t hesitate to accept it, wrapping his long fingers around yours politely, if a bit stiffly.
And that’s when the awkwardness returned.
You were quite ready to have your limb to yourself again, yet he had decided otherwise.
“Noble Y/N?”
Your fingers were feeling the pressure that his ones were giving them quite acutely.
“Yes, my Minstrel?” you decided not to dwell on it, in hopes that the light tone will repair this change to his manner.
“Did you…” he stumbled through the question, which you somehow realized was not a common occurrence with him, “Did you do it on purpose?”
“Did what?”
You hoped you sounded surprised enough. Just like you didn’t guess the answer on your own and didn’t wish he had never asked that.
“Spun that bottle…that way.”
It was safer to keep on playing dumb. He was surely able to forget that kiss. Would he forget other advances you had no intention to offer him was quite another question.
“Why would I?”
His hand went loose around yours.
“True,” uttered he with a nod, “I thank you then. For the kiss. And your generosity. And I promise to honour our deal.”
“I have no doubts you will.”
You were becoming a smooth liar.
Tumblr media
 My dear Minstrel,
I fear I thought too much of …I wish I hadn’t been that presumptuous… I can’t recount the events of this day in…I saw them, Lindir. The stone giants. They were murdering each other right before our eyes. It was a life-altering…an experience, that I…
Scared, my dear Minstrel,
But I’m still here.
Yours,
Y/N
My dear Muse,
Do not test your skill and my patience with…
Do you not think me able to read a simple…
I’ll pray to the Valar to keep you safe. Or what my ballad will be worth of otherwise?
Your faithful Minstrel.
My dear Minstrel,
I have one word for you. Goblins. I’d love to say my heart was not in my feet, but it was.
You could describe it better, if you were me, Lindir.
But I wish you’ll never have to be in my place.
Yours,
Me
My Muse,
I wish you were not yourself, either. I wish you were not there where you are.
No song is worth it.
Lindir.
My Minstrel,
The castle is under siege. I don’t know how it ends. I just know that it will.
Do I need to say that word? Scared?
I don’t. I am not scared.
I didn’t mean to kiss you. But it was not bad.
Your-
A heavy drop of blood rolled down your lips and splashed against the scrap of paper. Your last one. As the things were rushing now, you couldn’t even ask Ori for a replacement.
Who even cared?
You tied the string around the pigeon’s neck carefully. Something told you it was the last time you did that.
“Go.”
Tumblr media
You wanted to cower under his stare. He was not like you remembered at all. The eyes narrowed in anger, the jawline sharper and outlined more cruelly.
“So…You’re an Elf-Friend now?”
It wasn’t in the least the happy reunion you’d imagined to yourself.
“Your friend, too, then, my Minstrel,” you tried to mellow his temper with a smile, but it didn’t work. It couldn’t have worked with the way he kept scorching you alive with this disdain.
“You’re not,” he spat out, flinching back at your attempt to approach him.
Very well. You had your pride, too. It’s not like you had ever needed the friendship with a handful of faceless letters on a torn piece of parchment.
“If you wish.”
The next thing you knew were his hands, digging into your shoulders so hard that bruises were just a matter of minutes for you. He shook your whole body twice, with a furious murmur in some distorted kind of Elvish, and let go, as though touching you was the last thing he had expected himself to do.
“I thought that you…” he drew in a heavy breath and went on, with about as much success, “I thought…”
“I didn’t, Lindir.”
You felt it happening too late. The world filled with the steely smell of blood. You choked on it, just as usually, and coughed, lowering your head to let it flow freely. You were not fond of what swallowing it brought on.
The red blots painted the floor with a pattern that was always new and curious.
A sigh of exasperation reached your ears.
“Oh, please,” Lindir exhaled tiredly.
He had nice handkerchiefs. At least the one he had run against your mouth and chin. And his hands could be tender.
And he had gone a long way in kissing. That was the last thing you could think of clearly, when his lips brushed against yours and he returned the favour you’d done for him that sunny Rivendell afternoon a long time ago.
Tumblr media
“Now,” being so close to him was still a novelty, but the one you couldn’t but welcome, “Where’s my ballad?”
Lindir chuckled, tightening his arms around you not to let you slip off his lap.
The golden fountains were singing their soft, honeyed songs…
And you wanted one, too.
“Forgive me, my dear Muse, but your writing abilities are not to be boasted of. What was I to do with your missives?”
“So that’s how you’re honouring our deal?”
“I’m agonizing in shame,” drawled he with no shame written on his face whatsoever.
You furrowed your brow and drew yourself up, straddling him more securely.
“You’re forcing me to take drastic measures,” you said, a threat in your voice.
“Do,” invited he through a smile.
Unhurriedly, taking your precious time, you wrapped your fingers around the brooch at his collar and unclasped it in a soft motion.
The sound he swallowed was sharp, as you skimmed your lips against his neck and had the kiss linger to make your point clearer.
“It’s either a ballad or else,” you purred into his ear, “Don’t you hate being in so much debt, my dear Minstrel?”
“Or else, my Muse,” he whispered back as carelessly, “I find I’m less complaisant that I had thought.”

Copperpot

@deepestfirefun it’s a cute one. :)

...
Right through the open doors of the royal guard station you stormed without any objection in ample notice from the guards who watched you walk right up to Prince Fili and toss a looped rope over his head. Right over his upper arms the rope was drawn tight and the blonde Prince simply shuffled on his feet to face you in the loop of the row around his middle to be followed by a third around his hips.
Looking down at you while you secured a twist of the line to link the two constricting straps he asked, “Good morning Bunny, why are you tying me up?”
“Because I need to talk to Thorin. But only the royal family can speak to the King without appointment.” Sharply you pulled a second binding line right then moved to drop and loop the rope around his thighs as well still under the watch of his brother, uncle Dwalin and all the forty puzzled but amused guards who had yet to be signaled of any threat by said uncle or brother to the King’s heir.
Kili asked as he watched you begin to form a precise pattern to the knot between the thigh and hip bands. “What knot are you trying to make?”
“Saw Dain use one like this.”
“Oh,” he said with a puzzled nod as you drew another tug of the rope tighter to ready a loop between two folds of the rope against Fili’s hip.
Fili said, “Why are you using Uncle Dain’s knot?”
“Because I want it to look like he did it.”
That had Dwalin chortle in amusement to Fili saying, “Well my elbow is loose.”
Kili lowered to help you, first by securing Fili’s elbow properly, “Oh, take this one. Yup, and loop that here.” Helping you to work the boar’s head knot Dain prized in full amusement, then watched you hoist Fili up over your shoulders.
“Ooh, nice and cozy, no shoulder pressure at all. Very efficient, Bunny.” Fili praised the position he was propped up in and chatted with his brother and uncle, who strolled along as you carried the heir all the way to the throne room between puzzled Dwarves. Including Dain, who saw his prized knot and left his stroll to follow along, wondering when he could have tied up his nephew and not recalled it.

Halfway across the mountain the guards outside the shut double doors hurried to open them as you said, “I need to speak to the King it’s urgent. Just look at the state of his heir.” They both looked in after your group on the continued smooth pace to the throne until they just had to shut them again by traditional distance of guests to gain audience with the King.
Combination of you and the others around you had Thorin clear the room of his Council as you settled Fili down on his feet again. Just leaving Dis on her ceremonial chair at his side as the current Queen Mother beside their mother Diaa and grandmother former Queen Niro’s. Softly he spoke to his brother to have his nose scratched as Thorin asked you sternly, “Bunny. Explain this! Why is my heir in my cousin’s knots?!”
Dain was on the cusp of shrugging to Dis’ glare his way at spoiling their first day to be instructing the royal guard in a decade long bit of training to be ready for their positions later on as they got a bit older to inherit those roles from their uncles Dwalin and Frerin, who remained with the guard on watch expecting to be filled in later by them, but you began to shout. “Because high and mighty Lord Copperpot-!”
“Copperpot,” the boys whispered and snickered at knowing as the others did of who you were talking to amongst the visiting Dwarf Lords from the southern kingdom of Orcarni.
“I can’t move five feet to my left without him barking orders at me! And apparently he’s delegated himself on charge of my rent fees, which apparently to his wisdom is not to come out of my earnings from the contract to win back Erebor or my account in the treasury, so I’m not certain how he intends I’m supposed to be paying my rent! Apparently I’m a golden egg laying goose and I can just drop a gourd sized egg at his feet for the task at my fancy! But now he says I’m five weeks late and I’m to be turned out on Tuesday at 3:15am precisely!
And I said I would take it up with you but he of course felt it necessary to remind me that it is not my place to be speaking with the ruling family without proper appointment, so I made one, five weeks ago, but the walking radish went and bribed the aid to erase my name off the list because only members of high born blood status can request an appointment with the King in the first place. So I have to go back in time and choose high born nobility within a notable clan suitable to your rank apparently and somehow magic myself to being born from them!”
Dwalin’s shoulders were shaking in his fight to not laugh while he hid his face with his hand at the flails of your arms and Inflections of your voice from shrill to authoritative at this five week battle now boiling over. “And I’d have just hidden inside your apartment if I didn’t guess he’d be waiting for me there inside your toilet!” That had Dain chuckle and the women at the glaring King’s sides smirk and smile.
“What else has he done to thwart your daily tasks?” He growled.
“OH!!” You started and that bled into a longer rant of details that ended in your growling, “And I don’t care who his grand mama chose to take to bed to make his daddy but if he puts his finger in my face again we are going to have a diplomatic issue that can be heard by those in the afterlife when I hack off his hand!”
To Thorin’s audible growl of an exhale to keep from racing off the hang the Dwarf Lord in question to Dis’ question of, “He put his finger in your face?”
Sharply in a whisper recreating the point you lifted a finger to hold in the exact spot in your own face, “In my face!” Then you crossed your arms to not start shouting again.
Deeply Thorin drew in a breath and asked, “And who, pray tell, tied up my nephew?”
“Oh I did that.” You said and his brow rose.
Kili nodded with a wide grin, “I showed her the proper knot technique.”
“Not of royal blood.” You explained further and his brow dropped in his look to Dain.
Dis gestured her son’s way asking her cousin, “You did not make that knot?”
Dain answered plainly, “No. I recognized the knot as Fili was being carried by.”
They looked to you again as you said to Dain, “I’m sorry for framing you.”
“You are forgiven. Very well done. I am not certain when they learned to make my signature knot but very well done.”
And you looked to Thorin again as he asked you, “Why tie him up, for one, and two, why use my cousin’s knot?”
“One, he wiggles and you know it. Two because that buys me more time, not just any Ironfoot clan member tying up the Crown Prince but the King himself. Buys me more time to explain because family ties complicate matters.”
Thorin looked at Kili and Dwalin, “And you agreed to this?”
Dwalin answered, “Just walked up and roped him.”
Thorin’s brow rose at Kili who answered, “Seemed important.”
Fili added to that by saying, “Why else would she tie me up if not for something important.”
And the puzzled King flatly said, “I will speak to Lord Copp-“ making his nephews chortle as he caught himself and said the proper Dwarvish name, “And I will see to it his duties keep him far from yours. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Bunny.”
You nodded and said, “I have to get to work. I will schedule an appointment to see you around I suppose, just have to bribe your aid.” You said making him fight to not smirk as you turned post bow of your head.
Dain said with an amused tone in the lock of Thorin’s eyes upon him, “Take it you turned down King of Orcarni’s daughter for courtship and someone is taking it personally. I will fetch the Copperpot.” Turning mid trade of nods to smirk on the walk behind you to go and fetch the Dwarf surely to be thrown from the highest point possible out of the mountain to walk home in shame should he survive.
Niro asked the boys, “Aren’t you meant to be on instruction of the royal guard about now?”
“Yes!” The boys both said proudly, and Kili said , “Carried him all the way here!”
Fili nodded, “Smooth steady pace without a hobble or stumble!”
Diaa said, “I underestimated her endurance. I’ll sit her closer to us at the banquet tomorrow. Thorin clear a lunch this week.”
“I will.” He hummed to Kili’s move to start untying his brother for an amusing chatter filled walk back to the guard post to pick up where they left off with their morning lesson. Sure to be filled with raucous laughter from Frerin at the unfurled news of how his hopeful future sister in law and Queen to be had impressed the rest of his clan on top of the royal guard and any citizen passed by.
Niro nodded and said, “Bold to go for the heir, normally a sibling is chosen.”
Dis teased, “And here I’ve been wearing my sturdy outer coats all month to no avail.” Making Thorin roll his eyes at the beginnings of their chuckles and shift to bring his notepad closer to record the final list of grievances you had aired so he would not lose track before he reached the end of the list. Stuck adoringly with the hint of a precious half growl you had given off mid shout echoing in his ears.
For the lunch however he surprised you with on that very same day he could only smile brightly as you were left to their sign based tongue after you had squeaked out barely above a whisper, “I lost my voice.” A heart warming start to his full recount of how your bother free morning had gone so far. Ended with him rumbling to you protectively that you would not have another Copperpot incident or instigator again. A series of lunches and brief promised times alone were sealed by your signed promise to not kidnap his heir again and stolen peck you left on his cheek that as you scurried off etched a smile onto his face no one could break.
