Okay… Firstly I am very very excited and happy and quite overwhelmed!! It is so great and relieving to have my own dedicated device, finally! I cannot describe how much this will help me.

Michelle (SCTCI (Scottish Centre of Technology for the Communication Impaired) person) set this up so the WordPower 100 grid is automatically opened first. However I already think I need to change this so Supercore 50 is first to open. I already am so much faster with Supercore, I think because it is less buttons to process, less overwhelming. And more easy to understand categories which help me with navigation (I struggle with that).

I also will try the keyguard, and Michelle say she can get another one for WordPower 100 for Switches. I don’t know if keyguard for Supercore 50 is an option, but it is custom made by someone apparently, so I assume it is possible.

Basically right now is just for trying and editing and experimenting. Then eventually I can ask Mum to email Michelle if I have anything to say or ask!

The physical device (Jabbla Vibe 10) is great! Not too heavy, good handle, good stand with good range of angles. I also have a bag for it!

I am just so happy and proud. I already use Supercore 50 to say several long sentences to Mum, and I am super fast on it!!! That is a big deal and big accomplishment for me. I also have Archie Scottish boy voice, and I love it.

At the start of this project all I wanted was to 'learn how to draw' using comics as a medium and the MDZS audio drama as inspiration.

I've come *very* far from making simple, 3 panel black and white comics, and I truly do intend to go even further. Thank you to everyone who cheered me on throughout 2023, it has been an incredible year in so many ways I never could have imagined. I look forwards to drawing throughout 2024 B*)

For all the work this blog has been- #-It has truly been a life saving anchor when the darkest of times have hit. #Love is hard work. Change is even harder work. Sticking to a goal I set out for myself and striving to keep going was worth it. #And I love drawing. I think there has always been something in me that longed for this. And it is finally tangible! I can draw!!! #I wanted to make a more elaborate year reflection where I looked back at my favourite comics and jokes. #but I'll leave that to the one year anniversary. #I have also been collecting a ton of statistics throughout the year and I am desperate to share them. once again screaming crying throwing up about the fact that infinity train was prematurely cancelled despite being contracted for 5 seasons.

#infinity train #like i really really want all 8 seasons. & i really really want present day!amelia and all that would come with that (e.g. hazel and grace) #but i feel like i would be so much more content with the show's cancellation if we had the bow on top of it all that was the amelia season #because she was the villain from s1 #the fallout of her villanry births the antagonists from s2. #she appears again in s3 having moved on slightly and changed her outlook. thereby creating a somewhat optimistic outlook on the end point of #her story #and s4 shows (in parts) her descent into villany. #she's been the main reocurring presence in the whole show and her train motivation (unbearable grief) and villain arc are the most #complex the show would've handled #i truly believe that if they had been allowed to make it it would have served as a perfect ending to the show #because she's been built up for so long and because the writers would've had so much material to work with AND detail to pay attention to #it wouldve been spectacular.... and everything they wanted to explore in later seasons wouldve been so good too #(older tulip and revenge and acceptance of something as complicated as alzheimer's disease) #(and i also think it wouldve been neat for them to show us a glimpse of 40 y/o rymin cuz those boys have major issues still when they get #off the train #and so id like a snapshot of them in the future that shows they worked things out) #yeah. justice 4 infinity train justice 4 amelia hughes. i want to fuck that 60y/o deeply evil woman so badly and i need her back in my life

Chrissy is a tool, has always been a tool for someone else’s gain, has always been a pretty little trophy to put on a shelf, a conversation topic to drop at lunches with the other mothers or to the boys in the locker room. 

She’s not a pretty thing anymore, mutilated body buried six feet under, but maybe she doesn’t need to be for this new puppeteer. 

Bones set snapping a second time around, mind crawling back into the safety of a fused together skull, breath coming back in heaves and embalming fluid still cold in her veins. 

And she's alive again. 

The body remembers alive, remembers it means pain and fear and darkness, so this is certainly alive. 

Alive and six feet underground with her name on a placard awaiting a stone yet to be carved.

Alive but different.

I am nonverbal so of course I have speaking exercises switched off in the settings, but I still get things like this, and still have it as an option in the "practice" tab.

The practice tab makes sense at least, maybe someone doesn't want speaking exercises in the lessons, but still wants to work on it at a separate time.

But it is not very fair to give me this goal, in my opinion! I have those exercises switched off for a reason, Duolingo! 🤦🏻‍♂️

ok i have three answers here, because i misread ur question at first lol

answer #1, the answer to the first question i read, which was "what is your icon's origin story, as in what is the origin story of the person in your icon?" is that's bart allen, aka impulse, and he inherited his speedster powers from both his mom and his dad! but i don't really know much more than that lol

answer #2, the second question, which was "what is your icon's origin story, as in how did you choose that?" is that it's a screenshot from one of the young justice comics, where bart says that being normal is Not His Speed (haha). i like the quote ("I don't understand the question. I AM normal. It's the rest of the world that's weird.") and i like the blue of the background and i like impulse and i like his tower of graham crackers and chocolate and i like that he's holding one of cissie's arrows even if i don't really remember how he got it. all said i like the panel so i made it my icon :D

answer #3, the answer to your ACTUAL question about my USERNAME, not my icon, comes from a family thing, mostly. i'm living with my grandparents on a farm. it was originally owned by my great-grandparents, and they left the land to their seven kids, divided up between them. some of those kids live here now (my grandmother and two great-aunts, and one of my great-uncles), some of the land has been bought by two of my aunts, and we're currently building a house here! but we all call the farm riverpoint. so that's the riverpoint bit, which i also like cause it's pretty. we do sit on a river, pretty much, which was an important part of my childhood, swimming and going out in the boat on the lake. (river. whatever. it's complicated.) the ace bit is just that i'm ace.

Oof, LGL, baby…

I, um, cannot make that promise. Mostly because the AU is sims-world gameplay vs. a sim-ified version of the real world that serves as the framework for a story, if that makes sense? So the goal of the legacy is never going to be this sort of best life experience, but to tell a somewhat realistic story in the confines of the medium (that being the sims and Tumblr).

In other words, think of the AU as vacation mode. Everything is all good in vacation mode, your worries and reality kind of cease to exist for a little while. That being said, ahem, I may have added some drama to vacation mode because I am who I am babes I cannot be tamed I cannot be stopped.

And have no fear, if you’re emotionally invested in vacation mode/our AU pixels, we’ve got quite a bit of time with them until we go back to the real world 😉
