I'm actually really happy they extended Armin and Eren's final conversation in the anime and think it flows infinitely better than it did in the manga, but I also liked how it highlighted a very important aspect of Eren's character that alot of people in the fandom forget.

Above all else, Eren is a slave to his own childish nature and selfishness that stems from his need to be free. Regardless of how much freedom he will take away from others.

As much as he want's to believe that he committed such atrocities for the sake of his loved ones, it doesn't change the fact that he still put them all in danger, and people he cared about still died in the process. In the end everything that happened was because he was a slave to his own nature. His own selfishness to be "free" no matter who he had to hurt.

And that's the tragedy of his character, the moment he realizes this, it absolutely destroys him.

I also love how Armin's way of comforting Eren is way better than in the manga. He doesn't try to make him feel better over his actions or make him find some comfort from the results of those action, but instead he tells him that even if he'll find eternal damnation after he dies, he won't be alone. Armin will share that burden with him and follow him into hell after he is gone. His own sins are intertwined with his best friends, and he'll make sure that even in hell they will always be connected.

Well everyone, it’s been a ride. My brief thoughts on AoT’s ending under the cut:

First off, Mikasa’s action scenes fucking SLAPED. She really is a fucking bad ass and I love her.

But, in no particular order:

1) I’m so glad they got rid of Armin’s mass murder line. Like fr

2) Still extremely disappointed with the nose dive Mikasa’s character took

3) The end of the manga was a fucking mess, and I’m so glad the anime highlights that. Eren having no real reason for doing what he did in the end and just wanting to kill a bunch of people was on brand. Armin agreeing wasn’t

4) So much emphasis was put on Errormika. I expected it but it was still beyond annoying. I’m glad they kept Error’s little piss baby fit so all the anime only’s could see just how toxic he is.

5) “stay with me” becoming “get your shit together” was a major L. It just felt out of character to Levi to be ripping into Mikasa when he knew from the jump that she was beyond upset

6) Gross they kept her kissing errors decapitated head

Several other things but I’m tired and can’t express them correctly. All and all, it is what it is. The ending was still very ambitious and left room for Rivamika cannon just like the manga.

I just wish they would have changed Mikasa’s whole rot by Errors grave for three years thing.

I Will forever love Attack on titan and it's characters, what an amazing journey.🔥(2011-2023)

Experienced the ending three years ago, but watching it again today, the animated version broke me again anyway.😭

Eren(🗝️) and Mikasa(🧣) will always remain in my heart.❤️

Eren having to push her and his friends away and doing horrible things by taking on himself the burden of a entire nation. Only cause he want his friends to have a happy long life.

And Mikasa kill the love of her life to save the world, but let him know that she understand and will forever love him and refusing his desire that she should forget about him and throw away the scarf Eren gifted after saving her.

All of this...when the only thing they wanted was being with each other.💔

I can't stress enough how much this series has mean to me. I remember watching the very first season 10 years ago, I was in my final year in high school and I remember being instantly hooked not just by the story, but also with how much I was able to connect with the characters. It feel's like I just finished a 10 year long journey. I am never going to forget this series
