chapter 5: We drive, We Film

The music is blaring when Atsumu pulls up. He's bobbing his head along to the guitar, hardly sparing you a glance as you slide into the passenger seat. Despite that, you offer a quick greeting as the car speeds off before you even finish putting your seatbelt on. You nod along to the familiar song as the two of you shoot through the street,

“And I don't care if you're sick, I don't care if you're contagious,” you begin Atsumu chiming in matching your pitch.

“I would kiss you even if you were dead” “Would somebody make me go blind for the rest of my life, cause I’d do anything to hold your hand.”

You find your hand hanging out the window as you two sing along to the rest of the song. Once it ends, Atsumu lowers the volume, enough to have a conversation. “I see ya changed from a sweaty slob and are now looking better.” You roll your eyes at the bassist, and had he not been driving you probably would’ve resorted to slapping the back of his head. “Why do I willingly hang out with you. And, where are we going anyways?” You question, remembering your promise to Iwaizumi

You ignore his comment about you clearly not having any other friends as you send a message to Iwaizumi confirming your location. You let out a little laugh at Iwaizumi’s complaint about the blonde always running his plans, before locking your phone. “Who ya texting?” Atsumu takes his first real look at you for the night as he slows at the red light. “Iwa, just telling him if I die tonight it's all your fault.Your driving fucking sucks” You follow up the sentence flicking off your friend who looks unbothered.

“Speaking of our dear Iwa, you know something that me and Kuroo don't.” Your eyes widen just the tiniest bit as he grants you a knowing smirk. “But I’ll let that go for now. How's the tattoo healing?” Just like that Atsumu’s voice shifts into a more serious tone and you groan loudly. You instantly catch on to the real meaning of the question. How are you doing? “Not you too”.

“C’mon, I’m just checking on ya (Y/N). Making sure you’re ok. Took me a minute but then I remembered you showed me the picture a few months ago.” His gaze focuses back on the road giving you at least the relief from his stare down. “First Iwa, now you. And I know Kuroo is gonna pick my brain the second he gets the chance,” your words come out in a huff of annoyance. “What can we say, we care about ya. The band would flop without our front man.” His tease is enough to lighten the tension that began to grow as you rolled your eyes again. “Our combined hotness would drop by like 90% without me.”

“More like 5%” He could only laugh as you promptly told him to go to hell, as you turned the music back up some. The rest of the drive was void of any conversation. The only noises coming from the radio and any time either of you would sing along to what was playing out. Atsumu would only shoot you annoyed looks, whenever you’d skip one of the songs he had to which you'd just shrug without a care.

“Hey Samu.” You and Atsumu spoke at the same time as you slid into the booth. “What are you two sharing a single brain cell now?” Your look of disgust is enough to cause the gray haired twin to laugh. “The only thing I’d ever share with Atsumu is my foot up his ass.”

“That’s a real cute way of saying you’re the dumb one of us.” The blonde catches the wrist of your arm that aims a punch at his shoulder easily. “Take you and your shitty dye job over there next to your brother,” you mutter pushing your bandmate out of the booth next to you. He obliges, moving so that him and Osamu are both sitting across from you.

“Now Tsumu’s stupidity is gonna seep into my head.”

“Hello boys, and piss head,” you greet cheerily as you enter the unlocked door of Iwaizumi’s place. You shift the drink carrier in your hand as you remove your bag, lightly placing it on the floor. The owner only raises his eyebrows at you while your guitarist just laughs.”What’d he do now,” You make your rounds handing off the coffee drinks you’d bought for your bandmates. You stop by Iwaizumi first who accepts it with a grateful smile. Next is Kuroo, who raises the cup in thanks. “Every time I hang out with him, I wonder why I do. He sucks,” you speak before handing Atsumu his drink. “Osamu really is the better twin, not by much though.”

“You claim to hate me, yet you bring me food. Thanks mom,” the bassist mocks. You mutter something about it being the only thing that gets him to shut up before shifting your attention towards Kuroo. “Hey, can you go get our instruments, couldn’t hold them cause of the drinks.” He only nods, you asking him to please lock your door after.

“We’re filming that song today right?” You nod at Atsumu’s question. While he goes back to typing away on his phone you settle onto the couch next to Iwaizumi. He looks at you and you raise your eyebrows in excitement. He shoots you a small smile and a thumbs up, and you struggle to contain your excitement. You shoot him a knowing look that the two of you have to talk later as Kuroo enters carrying both your guitar cases. “Bring my drink down would you,” is the only thing he says before making his way towards the basement. The three of you wordlessly follow.

“Why are we doing this song again,”

“Come on old man, it’ll be fun, plus our dear (Y/N) gets to show off that growl today. Doesn't happen very much,” Kuroo smirks at Iwaizumi, shooting you a quick look from where you are tuning your guitar. “Plus, the viewers wanted us to do Gaga.”

“Oh, you're just happy ya get to be heard more with this song,” Atsumu chimes in before fiddling with his bass. “Maybe,” is Kuroos response as he sits on a stool to tune his own instrument. “Besides, Judas is a pretty badass song. And our arrangement is pretty sick.” Iwaizumi can’t help but agree with you, opting to get the video equipment set up. After he finished you all ran through the song a few times before you were ready to go.

“Hey guys, we’re Mirrors For Friends,” the four of you said in unison. Before introducing yourselves as individuals. “So, you guys asked, and we answered. You all wanted us to do Lady Gaga so bad,” Kuroo started before pausing for his self-proclaimed dramatic effect. “So, Judas here we are.”

“Judas- Gaga” You practically screamed out the last words of the songs, before bursting out into laughter. The entirety of the song both Kuroo and Atsumu were making ridiculous facial expressions at one another, and with you being in the middle of the two, you saw it all. That, paired with post singing adrenaline and the fact that you all were even singing it in the first place seemed absolutely comical You had been so caught in laughter that you didn’t even notice Iwaizumi come up from behind his drums to nudge at camera perched on the tripod in front of you.

“Fuck- do you guys see what I have to go through with these guys. Iwa is the only normal one,” you joked out after your laughter died down. You ignored the said members exclamations about not being that bad. “Alright that's it for us today, we hope you enjoyed, and we’ll see you when we see you.” You stuck up a peace sign heading towards the camera and picking it up. “Say bye you idiots.

You first pointed the camera at Kuroo who was the closest to you. “I feel like (Y/N) is catching my double chin at this angle. Stream our songs and we love you.” With that Kuroo just walked off the frame, and you turned towards Atsumu. “Say bye to the video fake blondie.”

“I just want to say that I’m the hottest member of the band and-hey” Atsumu exclaimed as you just cut his segment short, before walking to Iwaizumi.

“You know the drill Iwa. Your turn” This time you moved the camera up and down as if you were giving the audience a chance to check him out. “Now this is the real hottest member of this band,” you teased before aimling back towards his face. You stifled your laugh at Atsumu and Kuroo in the background yelling for him to take his shirt off. “I hate this band. See you all in the next video.” With your drummers closing you stopped the recording before letting out a sigh of relief.

“Well that was exhausting,” you automatically made your way to the couch where you had your laptop resting. “I can probably get this edited and uploaded by tomorrow guys.” You felt the couch dip next to you and the voice of the band’s guitarist. “I can do it. I know it's been an interesting week for you,” he gestures towards your ribcage, where your new tattoo rests under your tshirt. The tone of his voice lets you know there’s no point in countering. When Iwaizumi gets into his band labeled ‘dad’ mode, you won't win. “You're acting as if I have a choice,” you huff handing him the camera’s memory card.

“Shit- guys, I gotta go. I forgot the team got a last-minute practice match with another school,” Atsumu’s panicked voice cut through the room. “Were done here right?” He looked between the three of you sighing in relief as he quickly started putting up his instrument. “Hey, don’t forget next week we’re at Bauhaus.” He only nodded mindlessly, before making his way to the stairs, before stopping halfway. “That's the 3rd, right?”

Kuroo’s thumbs out caused him to practically run up the stairs and out the door. Once the bassist leaves, he plopped himself next to you on the other side of the couch. “So lovely band members of mine, what secret are you two keeping from me and Tsumu.”

Secrets We Keep - chapter 1

I did a thing and posted a new story. I hinestly havent written fanfiction actively since 2013/2014 or so and only wrote a one shot Harry Potter fic. The rest were written many moons ago about a now defunct soap opera called Passions. This story has been ruminating in my mind for about a decade. I hope I can do justice to what's in my brain. Totally Au.

Trigger Warning: mentions of infertility

Ron’s eyes scanned the window of the jewelry store in Muggle London. He’d been there before - plenty of times, actually. There was a jewelry store Hermione fancied. Their designs were different and for some reason caught her eye more than the goblin made pieces he’d find in Diagon Alley. It had to be perfect. They’d been through so much in the last few years. The tears and heartache were so fresh in his mind. The pavé rose pendant shone in the overhead lights – Ron knew this was exactly what he had been looking for. In a few months, their little Rose would arrive and hopefully, heal so much of the pain they’d been through.

With his hand on the buzzer to allow entrance to the store. That was when he noticed it. The signage on the shop was levitating. Ron smile to himself and looked around to find the source. Of course, there were other Wizards and Witches who frequented Muggle London but, he knew this magic was done by a child who had just discovered the things they could do.

Ron smiled thinking of the trouble he and his siblings had gotten into as children. Interest piqued, he looked around the square to see if he could place the little witch or wizard in training. His eyes fell on a little girl with a mop of dark curls and brilliant emerald eyes that were full of delight as she ran from the woman desperately trying to keep up with her.

“Maia,” she called frantically.

Not looking back Ron watched as she made a beeline for the flowers, she’d set to change color.

Against his better judgement, he headed her off, his height and long gait made ten times the progress of her chubby little legs. He sat on the bench in front of the girl, not wanting to alarm her.

“Hullo there,” Ron said as he corralled her in the small benched area. He swallowed hard when her lashes lifted and he was met with brilliant green eyes, the eyes of his best friend on a miniature version of his wife.

“Ron?” the familiar voice called from behind him, pulling him from his thoughts.

Ron gave his mother-in-law a crooked smile. “Hullo Thea,” he greeted.

“Won!”

Ron jerked his head back to the little girl with the impish grin.

“Won!” she called again and used his long legs to help her climb the bench beside him. Her balance not quite perfect, Ron grabbed her before she could tumble backwards onto the concrete. It’s an instinct he never knew he had.

She giggled and hugged his neck. “Won help My-my.” She planted a kiss on his cheek and Ron’s heart melted instantaneously. Before he knows it, chubby little arms are around his neck.

He’d been angry for so long he’d neglected to realize that there was someone else involved that was perhaps more innocent than any of them.

“Hug Won!” she demanded in a voice so much like her mother that Ron didn’t know whether to laugh or to cry but, as he did when it came to Hermione, he obliged.

Thea Granger seemed to sense her son-in-law’s internal turmoil and pried her granddaughter off him.

“I’m so sorry,” she whispered gathering the little girl in her arms.

In an attempt to bring the attention away from the rambunctious girl in her arms, Thea asks “So, what brings you to this part of London?”

Ron’s eyes never leave Maia. “I wanted to buy Hermione something for when the baby is born,” he says absently.

“The baby?” Thea’s brows are furrowed when Ron looks back up at her.

“Her-Hermione didn’t tell you?” Ron frowned. She seemed so excited

Thea sits beside him, clutching her granddaughter tighter. “Hermione hasn’t spoken to me since she dropped Maia at my door.

Ron pondered this a moment. “So, she’s never-“

Thea shook her head. He tried his best to wrap his brain around the fact that his wife, the woman who had so desperately wanted children, hadn’t laid eyes on her own in the last year and a half. And now, he’d had more interaction with her little girl than Hermione had ever had. For Merlin’s sake, he’d even hugged the girl.

“How could she just leave her?” Ron asked. “And not tell you about the baby?”

Thea looked at her granddaughter sadly. “I wouldn’t presume to know what my daughter is thinking. I’ve barely seen her since she was eleven anyway.”

In that moment, Ron realized Thea was right, Hermione had spent most of the holidays with his family since their second year at Hogwarts. Then, there was the year she’d sent her parents to Australia.

“I haven’t tried to keep her away,” Ron sputtered running a hand through his hair.

“Dear,” Thea sighed taking Ron’s hand. “Does anyone make Hermione do things she doesn’t want to do?”

“Won!” Maia shrieked “Ook!” with that, the colors of the flowers in the closest planter began changing color. It was like she knew what she was doing, Ron mused. Instantly, he realized the danger of exposure.

“Uh-Maia, let’s play a little game.” The girl freed herself from her grandmother and managed to stand on Ron’s legs. “Let’s try to only play with the flowers at home,” he suggested. “What do you say?” he poked her belly making her laugh in the process.

“No!” the colors became brighter and far more noticeable.

“What if I gave you ice cream?” he asked.

“I cream! I cream! I cream!” she chanted jumping on his lap

“Really Ronald? Before lunch? Honestly,” Thea sighed. Maia would be a sticky mess and wouldn’t eat anything she tried to give her in terms of real food. She very quickly felt bad for scolding her son-in-law. “Alright,” she said defeated.

“I was actually wondering if you would mind very much if I took her myself?”

Ron’s face looked so very hopeful, especially when he added, “Y’know, I’m going to need some practice.”

Thea laughed and gestured to the ice cream shoppe across the way. The truth was, she could use some time alone. She wasn’t as young as when Hermione was a baby.

Forgetting about the gift for Hermione entirely, Ron grabbed the diaper bag and excited little girl and made his way to the shoppe.

How was it, he wondered, he could think so far as bringing her to Diagon Alley, sending her to Hogwarts, teaching her to ride a broom, all within having met her not half an hour before. Where did this feeling come from?

Ron took his wife’s hand and led her toward their kitchen table where dinner was waiting. He’d left a little rose in a bud vase in front of her place setting as he’d done at nearly every meal they’d shared since reconciling.

His level of devotion overwhelmed Hermione. Here she was, the one who, in her own eyes, didn’t even deserve forgiveness, and Ron was still fawning over her.

She lightly touched the velvety petals and looked up at her husband with a smile. She held his hand tighter. She wouldn’t take his love for granted again. Ever.

“’Mione?” Ron brought her hand to his lips and then dropped it to his chest. “If I tell you something could you promise to maybe try and stay calm?” He felt her hand tense and knew immediately what she could be thinking. “It’s nothing like that,” he assured hurriedly.

Hermione stared at her husband pointedly. “Well?” her brows rose as she sipped the water at her place setting.

“I was in muggle London a couple of weeks ago.”

“O-Ok…” Confused, she wordlessly urged him on.

“I ran into your Mum.” He met her eyes to gauge her reaction, “and Maia.”

Her breath hitches. “Ron,” she tests her voice and looks at his feet.

“Maia was with her,” he says softly. “I took her for ice cream.” He adds with a half-smile.

Hermione’s head shoots up and her eyes search his. “I think your mum was a tad put out because it was before lunch.” It was if she had forgotten to breathe. Ron had taken her daughter for ice cream. The child she hadn’t seen since she was days old.

“I would like to bring her home, Hermione.”

“Ron,” she begins softly. “She’s not…” she looks away, ashamed.

“She can be.” He cups her chin in his thumb and forefinger and brings her gaze to meet his.

“How would this even work Ronald? How could we bring her here?” her throat is tight, but she continues. “Your Mum and Dad would hate her for starters. Then there’s Ginny. She’s barely speaking to me as it is.

“I’ll tell her it’s my idea.” He sits in the seat beside Hermione. “It is my idea.”

“No, she’s better off with my Mum. We’re all better off that she’s with my Mum.”

“No, we’re not.” He says shaking his head. “We’re doing her a disservice not raising her.”

“Really Ron,” Hermione sighed and rolled her eyes

“She’s showing abilities already.” With this, Hermione seemed intrigued, Ron continued. “Your mum said when you were a child, you were like her though she didn’t put it together until you were older and your abilities didn’t begin quite so young.”

Hermione let out a breath. He’s speaking of her daughter with something akin to pride. “If we talk to the family – get their buy-in?” he asks.

Her eyes are wet. When did she start crying?

“We talk to Harry and Gin first.” Her voice is barely audible as he gathered her in his arms and kissed her soundly.

“I don’t think this will be a problem.”

Hermione rests her head on her husband’s chest. “You’ve clearly not spoken to your sister recently,” she muttered.

Hermione and Harry had barely been near one another since before Maia’s birth. They’d spent functions at the Burrow as far away from one another as possible. To say being at the same table together was uncomfortable was an understatement.

Not that the Burrow had been neutral territory, it most certainly wasn’t but, it was a far sight better than Harry and Ginny’s home.

Since the affair – could you deem a one night stand an affair? Maybe when a child was involved, she mused. Hermione had received quite the cold shoulder from Molly. Not that she’d expected the woman to welcome her back with open arms but, she’d hoped for at least the same treatment Harry had received. Silent treatment for a few weeks, followed by annoyed glances, a talking to, the likes he’d never seen before, even when doing something incredibly dangerous like bringing her youngest son along on a horcrux hunt. It had taken some time, but she’d returned to being his surrogate mother.

Was it that she, Hermione, should have known better? Her mother-in-law surely didn’t know the desperation and heartbreak of trying for years to have a baby only to be met month after month with failure. She didn’t know the way it ate at your soul until you were just a husk of a person. She didn’t know the way it felt to let your husband, your partner in everything down month after month as you were sure he was tired of reassuring you when you couldn’t reassure yourself that one day you would in fact have a child.

She didn’t know that the hormones you would ingest and shoot into your body just to have a fraction of the number of children she’d borne would give you hot flashes, mood swings, bouts of rage and frustration. She didn’t know the oceans of tears that had fallen from your eyes. Until one day when you watched your husband with his new nephew, your best friends son and while he doesn’t know you’re there, you hear him speak to the baby and wonder if he will ever get to hold someone so new that’s his. Wonder if he will ever wake up in the middle of the night to change diapers or warm bottles. To hear his innermost doubts about their future.

And that’s when you finally crumble inside. That’s when you pack just enough clothes and items to get by. Your husband is too good of a man to leave you. You feel completely broken inside. These are things a woman should be able to do and do easily, are they not? and find a flat near the ministry. Your job is the only thing you have anyway.

After not taking any visitors for months, your best friend shows at your door with a bottle of firewhiskey. It’s an expensive bottle. He’s got the galleons. His son hasn’t slept through the night in the last two months and he’s losing his mind. When you’ve had half a bottle of very expensive firewhiskey, your mind does very stupid things. It reaches for comfort first of all – especially when you’ve devoid yourself of human contact for the better part of two months. She doesn’t know who reaches out to the other first, but she does remember tracing his scar with her index finger. Very gently.

“It doesn’t hurt anymore,” he says stupidly, green eyes never leaving hers. “It used to burn when he was trying to get into my mind. It sounds crazy but, it was lonely at first – after that connection was broken.”

She knows all about lonely and broken connections. His eyes settle on her mouth and then back up to her eyes. Perhaps this is what Ron was afraid of when they were searching for Horcruxes. Perhaps this is what she should have been afraid of when she let Harry in earlier in the evening. Perhaps firewhiskey and an empty stomach don’t mix. His body moves over hers and before she her brain can catch up to what’s happening, their clothes are gone from their bodies and in a heap on the floor.

She knows she’s awake first because the sunlight streams into her eyes and Harry is beside her on the floor with nothing on but his glasses which are askew on his nose. She throws a pillow at him to cover up and he awakens with a start. Black hair standing on end, he tries to focus and realigns his glasses as she clutches a hand to her head. They both realize very quickly that she is naked as well. She grabs the blanket from the other side of the sofa and covers her bare body.

Your Gladstone Gander cosplay honestly makes me really happy each time I see it! It's so well done and beautiful. I want to get into cosplay sometime and you're one of my biggest inspirations for that, hehe. Ack, anyways, I just wanted to say how much I love all of your cosplays, each one looks amazing and looks so much like the characters!

Gosh I've spent so long trying to think of a relpy to this--- I'm just going to ramble

I've been cosplaying for about 8 years now and I'm afraid to say I find the community can be quite toxic at times, so it's nice hearing comments like this? Gosh It really is unexpected especially since I've been cosplayong Ducks...

I'm flattered I'm someone you're 'inspired' by, and if you ever do decide to take up the hobby I'll happily share all my tips and tricks with you- I do this hobby as a none profit thing and I would have loved having someone helo me when I first started out! I will however say my personal aim is to always do things as easily and cheaply as possible and I personally know so many people who are better craftsmen than me ahaha

I can't take credit for Gladstones design I think its purley because of @modmad crative work and great understanding of the character that the outfit I wear works so well, and they helped me a lot when it came to crafting him! I used to mainly Cosplay Anime character but the last two years I've been focusing on Human Versions of other creatures- because there's a certain amount of creative freedom that I just enjoy and not feeling that I have to strictly look a certain way it quite freeing (in my opinion)

Working on a Cosplay can be quite hard, and each outfit I have always comes with it's own challenges- but Gladstone was ironically riddled with badluck- I've wanted to talk about it for a while so If you wanna keep reading I'm going to use this ask as an outlet of that information-! You might find it useful or entertaining! Who knows~

So the first was thw wig, I ordered a stright short wig and some extra wefts to sew into it to make his fringe. The wefts where tangled when they arrived- that's the image! So I spent two hours fixing that before I could sew them in place and cut the length!

It took 3 attempts and Two Weeķs to curl his wig! I really want to make a Blond one but.. I can't do that to myself

The coat took me months to sort and luckily my Twin sister helped me in the end because I'd given up!

Yellow dress pants are a Nightmare to find

I ordered the perfect yellow shoes online and after 4 months of the company constantly 're-sending' my parcel I cancelled the order. These shoes where perfect and in the 18 months since, I still havent found a pair even remotley similar to them! The replacemenr shoes arrived and my dog ate them- The Spats hide a HUGE bitemark on the side

I really can't make spats ahahaha

The fringe takes me close to an hour to style everytime I wear him

You can NOT sit down in a duckbutt lmao

But he's honestly one of my favourite characters to be and I love having the oportunity to be such an aweful goose!

tfw hating life enough for a reeadmooore

‪yesterday afternoon i’d blocked out 3 pgs in my sketchbook & by that night i was thinking like well i’m so close to finished the sketchbook finally (ive been using it about a yr and a half by now) that i could just stop drawing when i hit the end there‬

but i’d mentioned the impending end of my sketchbook space a friend is already in the process of sending over some they havent ever used so that will at least mean if i stop drawing it’ll just have to be because i want to lol

like in this case it’s special b/c of course i’ve had periods where i’m like smh what if i just don’t draw anymore, but that’s tended to be about being frustrated w some element or other of it all. this time it was mostly just that every day of my life i have a tiny bit less motivation or energy or etc. yesterday i was thinking all day about offing myself, which i’d done the day before, and done today too

like, it’s nothing new, i’ve been hating being alive and wanting to kms and only moving in the direction of less disappointment to more disappointment and having to care less about things i previously cared about because for one reason or another things get to a point where it only adds frustration to my life anymore

but despite depression and wanting to die and life being miserble all being Not New, that doesn’t mean that it doesnt matter anymore, because after day after day after day after day after day of it for years and years, you’re in a worse place than you were a while back, even if you do feel the same. even a single day of wishing you were dead the whole time is shitty enough. feeling overall like even if you’re in a good mood now, you know your life is trash and you’re going to go back to feeling bad soon, is also shitty enough

like the thing that drawing had going for me is that, like reading and writing sometimes and even some other shit, it’s something i like to do. i do it for myself, really. but it helps that its the way i trick ppl into being here in the first place to see anything i’m talking about. i have really crap appeal. i mean i’m bad at being appealing thru shit i draw, but it’s still way more of something anybody wants vs like five yrs worth of my text posts. like...i have over 10x more followers than i did on a blog where i rarely drew anything ever

but anyways despite me drawing b/c i enjoy it, i enjoy enjoying things less. always in the middle of that “loss of interest in pleasure” life lol.......it doesn’t really matter how long i do or don’t keep drawing, b/c i mean, it doesn’t much matter to me whether i’m having fun or not. i can be enjoying drawing and still wanting to die, because that’s whats happening lol.....nothing that’s a personal factor of my life is all that important to me, because my personal existence is not that important to the person living it

also it sure hasnt helped that my sense of things like whether my life can get better or i’ll have the opportunity to pursue my nonexistent dreams or live an ideal version of my life that also doesn’t exist are all at all-time lows and only just getting lower day by week by month by year. the only way i can even look at cheering myself up is from a day-to-day perspective. and i can have a slightly more fun day than usual and then be extra down on the very next day b/c of how being a bit less numb means you’re crap-feeling emotions are now game too. and i’m very aware of how, if you’re not in a position that insulates you enough, if things get worse for you, that makes “things getting worse for you” more likely, and it’s an exponential drop that gets harder and harder to climb out of, and even if you move back up a notch out of good luck, you’re still just as likely to be knocked back down to where you were. the odds of me suddenly not only not fucking hating being alive but also having a life that doesnt fucking make me hate being alive? that’s a funny joke

‪also it’s frustrating that whether i feel good or miserable on any given day only really exists if i say something about it in a post like this lol... like i might feel awful one day but if i dont have it in me to spend ages writing about it, which is difficult also b/c putting feelings into words where ppl will only fully Get It if they’ve felt that way too, anyways if i dont write about how shitty i feel and post it then maybe later on when i’m feeling a little better or feeling a different kind of shitty, i also won’t be interested in being like “oh btw i felt awful the other day.” and if i don’t mention it, as far as everyone in the world knows, it was never a thing that happened, so it might as well not have. i mean, as a person i might as well not be happening, especially since i don’t want me to be happening lol‬

and like i was saying to someone the other day, its a lot harder via text to talk about shit b/c like, if you’re with a friend in person, you can talk abt boring or silly things and its easy and makes a good conversation. whereas talking via twitter means it would be clunky and time consuming to layout exactly had empty and depressing my existence is, and silly shit isn’t even worth the energy when you’re having a convo w lengthy gaps in it, so you can only really talk about the broadest, most interesting shit. which i don’t have much of, oh well

i do like talking and talking to people actually, it’s just rough when it’s all a few ppl online, even though i alsp extremely appreciate those people and enjoy the talking. it’s like, chatting to ppl online is like a piece of chocolate cake. it’s delicious and you love it, but it would be amazing if it was the extra bonus on top of getting solid meals every day, instead of it being the only thing you have to eat and you get it maybe once or twice a week and it’s still wonderful and is all the more valuable for it, but it isnt the same as getting enough to eat always, or Knowing you’ll keep getting enough to eat

anyways my social life is always its own special kind of depressing, even when i AM in the same place as friends. you’d have a hard time finding a situation where the concept of What I Have To Say seems interesting or even relevant to other ppl. and im not sure i’ve ever been in groups where i feel totally comfortable with everyone there and don’t feel out of place. so talking about the idea of knowing you always have access to someone to talk to or be with in person or having friends who you know you can hang out with and they actually like you and you still expect to have them a few yrs down the road—all that’s always been a “well, in theory i mean” or “at least, i imagine it would be like that” issue for me

tbh i generally feel the most comfortable enjoying myself when i do something alone; maybe it’s because i have more experience of ppl im around treating me really shittily than treating me well

ohhhhhh wellllllllllllllll what else do i have to talk about. hmmm the fact that feeling like i wanna die only seems to be regarded as an issue of “well are you gonna or not,” aka if you havent its a Victory and a happy situation instead of it being a matter of EVERY DAY I’M A CONSCIOUS ORGANISM I WISH I WAS DEAD AND MY EXISTENCE HAS BEEN HEADED IN THAT DIRECTION FOR AT LEAST THE LAST HALF OF IT

like how heartwarming that i’ve been actively suicidal for how many years? 6? 8? but i havent yet!! i always want to but just never get around to it and so this time for sure lol no more fooling around!! oh dammit and there goes another birthday still alive. like this is some elusive new years resolution or novel i mean to write.

funny i mention it because there’s practically nothing anymore that i want to do. even if i THOUGHT my life would ever become okay, i want fuckall out of it. i only exist, baby............and it’s like i said earlier, whenever i try to come up with a sad amount of potential motivations NOT to die, i have to realize that none of the shit is actually for me, or directly about me, or centered on me. like, this shit lost its charm ages ago.

well anyways. i suppose thats all i can think to say now. and it doesn’t make a difference whether i talk about my shitass existence and how crap i feel or not. it just gives the chance for a bit of it to exist in the world via a few other ppl being aware of it for a few minutes maybe, because who DOESNT want to thoroughly read a shit essay by some random weirdo about how everything sucks. the end

[10:45 PM] Kat: @everyone So, the moment we've all been waiting for. The Direwolves have officially entered Internal beta. Scary, I know, considering I have until tommorrow night to squash any world ending bugs, but, bear with me and please understand that this avatar will not be flawless right out the gate. There are some known, documented issues that will be addressed once I've returned from my trip, but so far 95% of the avatar's features are working as intended. However, a couple of small features are being delayed in the interest of getting the avatar out into the hands of those who've been so patiently waiting, the features in question being only stuff relating to the AO. At launch, the Direwolf will not have its idle animations, half of the planned 'actions' are still WIP, and the only currently included dance animation leaves something to be desired. But, I hope you will all still enjoy what Stickman and I have created. Once its passed testing and I've confirmed its well off enough to go out into the wild, I'll have flame issue the redelivery tomorrow afternooon-ish. I'll let you all know when I'll be available to process refunds, exchanges and devkit signups. Thank you.

As with ALL KZK products, future updates WILL be free, and the first thing I'm doing upon returning from my trip will be taking a day to recover from traveling/convention, then immediately focusing on patching in the missing animations/features where possible, as well as squashing any known bugs. then I'll be prepping the preorder plush gift, available only to those who purchased a Direwolf on or before december 30th, and lastly, setting up the two freebie gift skins (as thanks!).

5:20 PM] Kat: @everyone so I was up very late last night(7 am) working on last minute costume stuff for the trip, and I still had a lot to do when I got up this morning so I was not able to get into sl to handle any last minute help requests. I'll do my best to help where I can as my fiance brought her laptop but it can barely run sl on potato graphics. I'll try and arrange to have the applied script passed out in the main store. Also as a reminder I will be honoring any exchange requests until january 20th as i am going to be out of town until the 10th and theres only so much I can do on the go. Had i planned things better, the fires would've come out long before this trip but.. at this point i decided it would be better to arrive late to the party than not at all so i will do everything i can to make sure it gets the TLC it needs when i return. Sorry if this sounds rambly.. I slept 2 and a half hours last night before packing for my flight.. 3 hour drive to the airport and a 3 hour flight. yep. so apparently this is what i’m doing with my quarantine time now.

i am going to rank every travis scott song from his studio albums. there are quite a few instances where i find it impossible to put one song over the other, so the top 1-10 is pretty interchangeable to me. including the deluxe edition songs, there are 47 songs for me to rank in total.

this is in no way me trashing trav’s music (if you don’t know me i literally live so far up his ass that if he sneezed i would come out of his nostrils and have done for many years), it’s just something that i am scarily qualified to write about and should entertain me for a while.

just as a quick pre-cursor to the list: birds is my favourite trav album by far and astroworld had a lot of skips for me, so of course that is reflected. if you don’t agree with that i don’t really care; my mind cannot be changed.

yes i am aware that owl pharaoh and dbr exist.

i fucking HATE this song. ruins the entire vibe of birds and the only song on the entire record that i will ever skip. after having the ends as an intro and apple pie closing off rodeo, i just don’t know what this song is doing. it needs to be deleted

from this point on i dont dislike any of these songs and this was pretty painful to place. this song goes, but i am unable to place it any higher. it just feels like a (very good) throwaway track that got slung onto the deluxe edition. also q and trav should sound better than this, i think they could’ve made something better than this track together, i wanted their song to sound like it could’ve been on oxymoron (a wholly flawless record).

i’m actually really fond of this song and listen to it a lot. to me it just sounds out of place on astroworld and was definitely a huncho jack throwaway

the beat change aged like old milk. i will admit when i first heard this though, i loved it so much. and the feeling you get when the intro to stargazing starts playing before trav comes out on stage is unmatched, so it has a special place in my heart for that alone. in terms of astroworld as a whole, i think it’s the perfect first song for the album

maybe ive heard it way too many times, i’m not sure. but it would feel wrong for me to place this in my top 30, i dont find myself putting it on ever. a classic nevertheless

i used to fuck with this song so much but recently it’s just not doing it for me. something about listening to it now just makes it sound corny to me. “wanna know my dick longer than a pringle box” will live on forever

Entry 18: 07/10/19 @ 3:42 p.m.

I’m at work on the patio.

So I have a lot of crappy news to talk about. These last few days havent been very great. Last Tuesday I woke up with some strange sharp pain on my right collarbone but the pain would only come if I inhaled. I dismissed it, thinking maybe that I had slept weird and it would pass. Wednesday, it moved to my left collarbone and I knew it was too much of a coincendence to be a strain but I still ignored it. Thursday I felt no pain until the evening when my waist started feeling a bit sore. It wasnt a sharp pain but more like the soreness you get from working out. I’m a server and work at least 40 hours a week so I figured my body just felt tired like usual. Friday I woke up around 3 a.m. in sooo much pain. It felt like someone stabbed my ribs, I could barely move without screaming. I eventually fell back asleep and then called out of work when I got up. When I explained to the manager that I was going to the hospital for unexplainable pain, he told me he had my morning covered but he fully expected me to be there that night for dinner shift. I hung up and was very upset at the lack of concern he had for my well-being. I didn’t have any money to get a lyft to the hospital and texted my mom and best friends’ mom for ten bucks. My best friends mom didnt get back to me that day but my mom was able to cash app me. I called my job and spoke with another manager, updating him on my situation and that I would keep him posted. When I got there, I was seen right away because there was no line. The doctor immediately knew I had Pleurisy.

From what I understand its a viral infection that inflames the protective lining of your lungs. The lining is suposed to protect your lungs and make sure they expand smoothly against your ribcage. When the lung gets inflammed, it creates friction. That friction was what I was feeling everytime I inhaled. The doctor gave me a 800mg ibeprofen and kept me there for an hour to see if it helped. It worked very slightly but I was still in pain and breathing shallow. He perscribed me the ibeprofen and instructed me to stay home that night and the next day. I called my job and a third manager picked up. I updated him and let him know that I had to stay home. He was very upset about it and then we hung up.

Saturday morning, I get a text from my bestfriends’ mom. It was her husband telling me that she was in the hospital and thats why I didnt get a call back but that he would still send me the money if I needed it. He was concerned about me as well. I told him what happened and that I was ok and didnt need the money. Then I asked him if mom (I call her mom because she took me in and is eveything to me) was ok and he said he didnt know. That she had tried to overdose on Xanax. I was in shock and told him I was so sorry and that I wanted to come see her. I asked for her number and expressed my convern for him and my little sister. He said she was fine and that they told her that mom just needed help feeling happy and that she would be home soon. My heart was heavy and I cried for hours. I ended up talking to my best friend and we got high on the phone and cried together. Neither of us had talked to mom because we didnt want to upset her with our emotions.

Sunday morning, I was still in pain but not as much as the day before. When I got to work, I realized that I wasnt ready for it. I couldnt walk very fast or I would get winded because of all my shallow breathing. Talking was very short and limited or very strained and exhausting. My coworkers kept asking me if I was ok and wondering why I was so quiet. I felt like shit and the more I worked the worse the pain would get until I had to stop every two minutes to catch my breath. I started talking to coworkers and asking if anyone wanted to pick up my shift. No one could because they were all doubles so I went to my boss and told her I couldnt breath. She immediately told me that I had to go home and stopped me from trying to find people to cover my shift. She told me I was fine.

The guy that picked me up drove like a fucking maniac and added to the horrish pain I would eventually feel when I got home. It felt like he was tossing me around in the back seat with a thousand knives around me and I was too winded to speak up. Then when I got home, I dropped everything on the floor and tried to sit on the couch but couldnt even sit. It was too painful to move. I literally had to keep my torso perfectly straight and spread my legs to lower myself onto the couch. I could not use my abs AT ALL or I would trigger a sharp pain and scream. I eventually took a shower and stayed on the couch for the remainder of the evening. Going to bed was a thirty minute process. Just finding the right angle to lower myself and figuring out what movements I had to make for the least painful experience was exhausting. My sleep was rough and uncomfortable.

I looked at him and said that I had to, I couldnt breathe and he scoffed at me. I then told him that I did come Sunday and tried but left early and he just walked away and didnt say anything. I continued to take care of my tables but his comments were in the front of my mind, They were really bothering me! So as soon as I found a monet to talk, I pulled him aside to speak in private. I told him that I didnt appreciate his comment earlier, that it was insensitive. I tried my best and still came in despite my condition. I missed out on at least 300 dollars over the weekend and noe had a 200 dollar hospital bill to pay without insurance. He somewhat sympathized and agreed that he was maybe a little insensitive. I said it was alright and he proceeded to tell me about one of my coworkers and how they have been working for two weeks with rib pain. Then I told him that he had nothing to do withme and that it my pain was different. It was my lung and I explained what the doctor told me about Pleurisy. He listened and acknowleged that he might have been insensitive but then told me about how he was at work for a whole week once with kidney stones. Again, I told him that his stones have nothing to do with my long and that he was downplaying my situation. He then someowhat agreed with me and we ened the conversation. i thought we were good and it was over but he follwed me to the bar and told me that earlier he was just asking me a question and he wasnt being rude. I reiterated what he said and how and told him that he was expressing disappointment. He then denied it and reitarated a version of his “question” with the same words and nicer tone. I told him that yes he did say that but not in the form of a question and not nicely. He continued to go back and forth with me and I stopped him saying that I wasnt trying to argue with him. He wouldnt let it go so I told him he was being defensive and he told me he wasnt and started trying to fight with me about being defensive. I told him that this was dumb and that I wasnt going to argue. He cut me off and said it was dumb and it was dumb for me to bring it up in the first place. Then (yelling) told me that I had the resturant in a disarray for no reason. He said this while walking away from me and by guests, making sure he was heard. I yelled back “I’m so sorry Jason that you had a hole in your floor for three days because I was in the hospital, you asshole!”. He then went to our boss and started talking shit and then immediately after went up to the hostesses telling them that he didnt care that I felt like he was being insensitive. I couldnt believe that this MANAGER was acting like a stupid like fucking child and causing a scene.

The worst part of this all is that my boss was on his side and basically told me that I was being emotional and that Jason didnt mean anything by it. Hes just a very black and white person and thats what got him the job in the first place. UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!!!! I didnt even argue back because I’m so done witht his place. I’m offically fucking numb. I’m just going to work on getting my car and then line up a better job so that I cant quit. I’m not even going to tell them, I’ll just not call and block them. Fuck these bitches.

I’m at work on the patio.

hey journal!

sorry i havent written in a couple of days. today...was eventful. i took too long in the shower or something and missed the bus this morning. i think? either that or it came earlier than i was anticipating. im pretty sure it was that bc i left my apartment “on time” instead of early like usual and had to wait about 15-20min for the bus. but it came 10min earlier than it’s anticipated time or arrival anyway so it was fine. i stayed awake for most of the ride on the red line but fell asleep towards the end and someone woke me up at howard, hahaha. it was pretty embarrassing, tbh. but then i got off and was waiting about 10min for 290 bus to come. i shouldve just taken the 215 when i had the chance. but this i saw this homeless guy bothering a couple walking away and i thought they were just friends teasing each other at first bc he kept coming back. and then all of a sudden, he was there next to me and asked if i could buy him something. and i felt pretty bad for him and ive been wanting to be more pro-active anyway in helping the community so i thought it’d be fine. he said he had $13 and just needed me to buy him something since the shopowner wouldnt let him in and it was right across the street. i was hesitant at first bc the bus was coming in 10min and i didnt want to be late but since it was just right across the street, i thought it was fine. i was wrong. we walked about 3 blocks and finally got to the store and i knew i for sure wouldnt make it in time for the bus unless there was no line and i sprinted. and i thought he just wanted me to buy him some food or something with his money. but once we got there, i realized he wanted me to buy him a pack of cigarretes and i tried to convince him that im too young and would get IDed. Oh lol. i guess you only have to be 18. i thought it was 21. but regardless, i was pretty disappointed that he just wanted me to buy him something to smoke instead of something to eat. the shopkeeper saw us and started shooing him away and i wanted to back out but i was afraid that i wouldnt be able to cleanly run away. and after continuously pleading with the man that i cant buy the cigars, he said, “okay, just get me a $20 bill then. Please. Just get me a bill. I can give you my $13 but get me a $20″ and I know that I don’t have a lot of money to spare rn so i really didnt want to but he was growing more agitated and aggressive and honestly, i was scared. so i went in and was going to just get him some money and then go off on my way and catch the next bus. the shopkeeper was actually really nice about the whole thing and let me know the guy was gone and that i didnt have to do anything for him. i guess he’s always coming in asking for things. and i checked too and he was right, the homeless guy was gone. but i didnt want to press my luck. so i thanked im and ran in the other direction. i sought refuge in a building and decided to just take a lyft to work instead. it was hot, i was going to be late, and i was mostly afraid that the guy would be at the bus stop again and bother me, asking where the money is or why i didnt help him. honestly, im afraid that hes going to be there again tomorrow and i dont know what im going to tell him. he also showered me in compliments while we walked to the store and i knew he was just flattering me to get me to lower my guard but he definitely stroked my ego. lowkey, but i am a bit afraid that im not going to find love or ever get married so when he was shocked that im not married and called me attractive, i did feel a lot better about myself.

God, please bless that man let him come to know you. And please bring me protection from him. Please.

Work was fine. I decided to listen to music today and was highkey jamming out at my desk but thankfully, those that sit beside me weren’t there today so I don’t think anyone saw me. But i was really getting into it! Haha.

I was actually really glad I had client work to do bc I really did not want to work on the branding guide/pitch deck/one-pager. I feel like I’ve been working on those for so long and I just did not want to look at it any longer. I started my day by doing my 20min logo sketches and they actually went pretty well. I think I’m getting somewhere but I’m not sure where to go from here. I’m sure I’ll think of something. But yeah, overall it went fine. I did make a few mistakes in terms of pixelation and color. I couldve fixed the pixelation thing the first time around but i wasnt sure how clear they want it to be or if it was just for the sake of a mockup. Whenever Jeremy and Jon visit me in person. I know I screwed up somehow or they have a big project for me. But overall, it was fine. I remembered to pack my lunch and watched some Brooklyn Nine Nine during my break and felt like a real adult! I do fear that I’m running out of food at a rather alarming rate tho. I need to eat more sparingly and pace myself. i only have so much money left and need to last until the 29th! That’s about 10 days. I just need to rely on my groceries for 10 days. And then after that, I will figure out how to allocate my money. Oh but for the color thing, Jon wanted me to send him the brown pen with the logo but I was confused bc he kept asking for the grey one! But it’s brown! I also hardcore struggled with the textwrap and the mug this morning but eventually got it down to a pretty accurate version. It wasn’t perfect but I had been literally working on it for over an hour. Just one side. And I still wasn’t happy with it.

But other than that, I am here. I went to Walgreens with Michaela, she bought my vitamin water, I made dinner and prepared food for tomorrow, i walked 5k more steps to beat Jordan in our 30k competition, did trip on my dress and majorly hurt my ankle, but overall, i’d say today was a success! and i got to finish this before midnight. hopefully i can wake up earlier tomorrow! I want to send a letter to a Federal Agency that oversee's auto insurance companies and their responsibilities to the consumer

Is this a proper plan for term insurance?

Just trying to see if I am able to understand and apply knowledge of insurance. Please give your opinion. Here is a hypothetical example: X(35yrs) and Y(30yrs) are married and employed and they got joint home loan for Rs 30 lakh. They will be in service till 60yrs of age. Their current annual incomes are about Rs 5 lakh and Rs 3.8 lakh respectively. X and Y are willing to buy term insurances with sum assured of Rs 50 lakh with 25yrs and 30yrs terms respectively. (First doubt, given their income level, are they eligible for such high sum assured?) They both want to get critical illness rider of same sum assured (Rs50 lakh) amount since critical illness is kind of death of earning capability. Also they want to take same accidental permanent disability benefit rider of same sum assured(Rs 50 lakh) for same reason. They also want to have separate mediclaims though that is different kind of insurance and we won't consider here. Do you think that they are on right track for planning term insurance with riders?""

California Auto Insurance Cancellation?

How soon after an insurance company cancels an auto policy for non-payment will they report that cancellation to the dmv? I understand the electronic notification, but how quickly will the insurance company actually notify the dmv that the party is no longer covered? I have yet to receive a notification from dmv and my policy was cancelled 2 months ago. Unfortunately, I was involved in an accident (my fault) and although I provided a copy of my policy info, I found out later that I was not covered at the time of the accident. I had the policy Rewritten the day after the accident (a different policy number). The other party reported it to their insurance, although we agreed to settle with cash & no insurance. They are requesting me to file an SR1 file. What do I do? The info I provided had good dates of coverage on it but I found out later that my policy had lapsed. Do I submit an SR1 with the old info or new info? Will my license be suspended now??? IM DESPERATE!""

I've tried Diamond, elephant, comparethemarket, gocompare, literally everywhere. Admiral won't give me a quote and places like Tesco will only quote 18-year-olds. I will literally LOVE anyone who knows of any quotes around 2000-3000. Car insurance/Car warranty advice!?

Okay...so my husband has a 2004 Subaru WRX - bought from a private dealer. We have a car loan from our bank with no extended warranty. Our insurance is through Harleysville and we have to have full coverage on it so it's kinda pricey since his car is under the performance class. My car, is a 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i - just bought last month from a dealership with extended 5 year/60,000 warranty on powertrain (engine areas) and drive train (AWD) (?) something like that and is not bumper to bumper. We also have a car loan from the bank. The thing is, I have our car insurance on low deductibles making our monthly premiums high. I was thinking, since I have warranty on my car, the deductibles can be higher with a lower monthly premium since I have warranty from the dealer. Although, the warranty is only on powertrain and drive train, if I get tboned or scratches, then yes, I would have to pay a higher deductible to get my car fixed. What is the best thing to do? Right now, both our cars are at about $240/mo for our insurance premiums. We are safe drivers, never had an accident or speeding ticket. We are clear as of now! What are you opinions and thoughts... Weird health insurance situation?

My hubby had two claims from a sleep study clinic that were marked as Out of network by my insurance. As such, the insurance company cut me a check for the portion of the bill that they are required to pay (instead of paying the clinic directly). I had to cash them immediately or else the checks would be void. Normally, we get a bill from the clinic with our total bill (including what the insurance needed to pay) and we then pay what the insurance wrote us a check for in addition to our portion. Question about first insurance quote for a young driver?

Last week I used autotrader to search for numerous quotes and found one for around 1450. Today I passed my driving test, and went back to the quote but it had to be renewed since last week which is fair enough. The lowest value today was 1576 which I am alright with. I refreshed the page a while later to find that quote had disappeared and the cheapest was 1620, with the company for that quote (elephant) at the bottom with an unable to find a quote detail. I thought it would come back soon, so I refreshed the page and then suddenly the price increased to 2950 minimum and many of the cheaper companies were now listed as unable to find a quote. Strange, but perhaps the websites are too busy to send data. An hour on though and the price is still 2950. Did anyone else have this problem? If so when was it fixed, the same day or next day? ok so im 17, i got my lisence last week.. well like 6 days ago to be exact and we all know winter driving is alot more dangerous than regular driving.. anyways i was driving home from work, and none of the country roads were plowed, as always.. i turned the corner in my moms car (im insured) and the car slid and went right into the ditch at the side of the road, so i called my dad he came and helped me pull the car out, but during that process, the car got stuck up against a wooden street sign and well crushed or indented part of the car right behind right side wheel. and once we finally got the car out, we noticed the alignment of the back axel was completely f**ked. so i drove it home very slowly, cause it was driving horrible from that.. just wondering if we report this to our insurance company what will happen? will my insurance go up? it was a complete accident and no police were involved. i dont know how much the damages will cost but im sure its not too cheap.. maybe a complete writeoff? the car was bought for 10000$ like 4 or 5 years ago. damages are: rear axel and front by right tire. can anyone reply? id just like to get this off my back i dont see how it can be my fault, the city did not have the roads properly plowed.. i know i cant blame it on that but it really was an accident i dont know how i can make it up to my parents, i work part time and goto hgihschool i dont make nearly enough money to pay for the damages they want me to.""
