Which of the counselors do you think knew each other already from camp? Were they friends (or enemies) from way back? Who went to camp but somehow didn’t know any of the others and who didn’t attend at all?

I go back and forth on my headcanons for this all the time so I’m super curious what others think!

Okay, so I'll start with the ones I don't think went to camp. Laura and Max (Max especially lol) didn't seem to know a whole lot about the camp, like where it was located, who the camp leader was (looking at you Max), etc. so I don't think they ever attended camp. I also can't see Nick ever attending camp, but I also headcanon that he and his family moved to the states when he was either a preteen or teenager so his chances of attending would have been low.

For those who we know for sure went to camp, that would be only Dylan and Ryan. I don't think angsty teenage Ryan ever really paid attention to Dylan, either because they had different interests and were in different groups or if there's a possibility of them each attending camp on different years. I do think it would be cute though if they attended camp at the same time and Dylan was already crushing on Ryan, who was completely oblivious to it lol.

I think it's a toss-up of whether or not Abi had gone to camp or not. I personally lean more towards the yes she has attended camp option. She seemed to know a lot about the quarry (when she tells Nick about the quartzite and some of the history if you choose the rock path in ch 2). Also, in her sketchbook, she makes sketches of Nick, Emma, Jacob, and Ryan. Nick makes sense because of her crush, Emma because they're good friends ("friends"), and Jacob because she spends a lot of time around Emma and Jacob goes where she goes. But why Ryan? Neither of them were in charge of activities that were remotely related to each other, so they didn't really have a reason to interact a lot while actually working, but they seem to be close enough that Abi wanted to ask Ryan for his playlist. Also, it's Ryan, not Emma or Nick, who can jump to Abi's defense during truth or dare. So I headcanon that Abi and Ryan knew each other from when they were campers, and were possibly even friends.

Kaitlyn is another toss-up. I wish we knew more about her and her backstory (SMG give us lore!!!!), but we know so little it's hard to pin her down. Personally, I believe that if she did go to camp, it was probably when she was a lot younger, young enough that she wouldn't really remember interacting with any of the other counselors if they were also campers back then.

Emma is another one I'm having a hard time pinning down. I think it'd be really sweet if Emma attended camp previously and was friends with Abi (okay, now I'm just imagining an Abi, Emma, and Ryan gossip circle where they do each other's nails; realistically the girls probably couldn't convince Ryan to join, but it's fun to think about lol).

I think it would be objectively hilarious if Jacob had attended camp as a camper previously and did something stupid as a kid to piss Ryan off and that's why the two have so much beef with each other. Bonus points if it's something that Ryan vividly remembers but Jacob has completely forgotten about.

What does everyone else think? I want to know your headcanons!

Scopophobia, implied gore, body horror mention warnings, smg4 western spaghetti and it’s gonna be perfect spoiler

Okie so I had another smg4 dream that I drew sketches for cause holy crap. In a nutshell, it was a messed up among us/guess who game show.

Before i talk about it, I’d like y’all to appreciate Melony’s heart patch with Axol ;-;

So the dream started out simple, the smg4 crew were hanging out in the new castle but then smg4 and melony noticed something outside of the window. 4 started to frantic and said to hit it with everything and the crew did this with no questions asked, throwing bob-ombs, guns, frickin tanks, eggdog, power ups, furniture but it wasn’t enough and whatever was outside of the window broke free with a flash of light fading to white. Mario and Luigi woke up in a tainted colored glass dome. Outside of the dome was their castle but looked more like a circus tent. On the otherside was the rest of the crew in a play set box with them as dolls, and their castle on top as if it was a dollhouse. An unseen announcer welcomed the brothers into the game show. Mario was in amazement because he didn’t realize his friends in danger and just heard a game show but Luigi kept asking questions. That’s when a snap of the fingers and the game started. The first game was a among us(I kid you not) but in each game sequence, the bros would have their memory wiped to throw them off that they were trapped. So anyways, Luigi was doing his tasks but then melony came over and shook Luigi by the shoulders yelling at him that they were in danger and he needed to get out of here. Melody glitched out of existence and the announcer apologized for that game error. So he went on to do his tasks. He started looking for Mario and found him locked in the bathroom cause he said he didn’t want the imposter to find him. So Luigi had to drag him out but when he came in, the door was a metal door and locked them both in. Mario took this as a chance to tell Luigi about what was happening, about the gameshow trap, about whatever was out there but the imposter was banging on the door with an alternate’s corrupted voice of one of the smg characters. The game restarted and the bros had their memory wiped again.

The game started with them in a hospital, it was more like a modern day murder mystery but more happier(like had some kidcore themes here and there) and each of the characters as doctors or nurses, they were trying to find a missing patient but also a fraud doctor in their midst. So Mario started looking for the patient and found Meggy, she was a doctor there and didn’t give any information about the trap but when she spoke, all she repeated “Hows it going Mario?” getting Mario confused and scared until she glitched out of the game, followed by an apology. Mario was confused and ran off to find his brother because he started to remember about what happened the last game, that this isn’t what it seemed. He started searching rooms, slamming doors and such until he reached a room with Meggy on a hospital table, strapped down with her eyes huge black pupils, a smile and the repeated phrase. Mario rushed over to help her but she grabbed his arm, snapped out of it and started to panic and just said in a pained voice “help me”. Mario looked over at her stomach with rainbow strand gummies and star candies sticking out of her stomach. Mario backed up in fear for his friend but the announcer said “sorry folks, we’re experiencing an error..again” making the whole room all static-y until Mario was just in an empty room. Mario started to panic and call for Meggy, 4, 3, anyone that he knew until he heard footsteps coming from behind him. He slowly turned with an ominous sfx playing until it cut to black. The announcer continued on with the game with Luigi and the rest of the crew left. This game they were at a fishing dock, all fishermen but there was a disguised siren in their midst(yes these were all murder mystery or who’s what games) So Luigi started to question Bob and Boopkins and Bob tried to blame Boopkins to get him kicked out but he started defending himself. That’s when Luigi heard a voice in the water.

Luigi wanted to investigate and dragged the other two to prove their innocence and they took a boat out to find the voice. It sounded like a little girl’s voice in distress. They looked around the water and Luigi jumped in the water to find the girl and landed in the black void Mario was in earlier. He started to call out for the girl. He found the girl and she said “You found me! Yay!!” and giggling. Luigi couldn’t see her but only a silhouette of the girl in a distance. She started to walk over but every step she took she grew new limbs or her body became disfigured until she glitched out, and was replaced with Mr L, doing the same thing. Then it kept glitching characters in and out until the figure came in sight for Luigi. It was Goo-uigi but with that flesh stuff still in him. Goo-uigi spoke with multiple voices of people overlapping and saying “You completed the game. Congratulations! Was trial and error perfecting it but this means you are perfect.” Luigi started to remember everything about before, especially about the flash of light. It was the flesh from the treasure city dream. It dragged them to the game for the fun of it, and to make up for the last time they all escaped a good going show.(YES HE IMPLIED THAT IT WAS THAT TV BRAND FROM WESTERN SPAGHETTI) Apparently, the tv brand gave an opportunity for the flesh to start it’s show, to get back at them, while the tv brand did the same. Luigi knew he needed to leave and tried running but was running in place. Goo-uigi appeared behind him in a second, pushed him to the ground, into a pool of water, started to wring his neck/ water boarded him. As Luigi struggled, the setting was glitching out into different places while goo-uigi was saying that this could’ve been a thriving perfect show. But if none of them could be perfect, then they didn’t deserve to leave, perfect or imperfect at all. Luigi got a flash of images of his friends, the castle, happy or chaotic memories he had with them. Luigi had to rip the flesh out with a bunch of images of memories flashing in his head, and started to feel nauseous from the flashing memories and glitching background. He grabbed the huge chunk of the purple/pink flesh in goo-uigi’s chest and pulled it out with a screech from Goo and the squiggly flesh as if it was alive, making everything flash faster. UNTIL IN A FLASH I WOKE UP, AND I TRIED TO FALL ASLEEP AGAIN TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED AFTER BUT MY ALARM WENT OFF THE SAME TIME

Wake up girlies, it's time to return to the frontline!

Guess who has insomniaaaa! 🤗💕💕

A month of cramps, nausea, increasingly worse insomnia (but a strangely good mood) has lead me down the path once again. I caught wind of some strange "gfl2" thing and after being struck with nostalgia, I grabbed bluestacks and fell into hell once more. I'd deleted gfl off my phone simply because it took too much space but now that it's on my computer, it's become DANGEROUS...! Github and clip studio up front with logistics running forever in the background. Yes, the ideal working experience.

Anyhow, everyone say hello to Contender.

I've been making more progress in these past two days than I had in the entire two months I spent with my new account because I realized how to (partially) Not Be An Idiot. Turns out there's a thing called "anchored construction" and you can get some pretty nice units (eventually) if you realize it exists! Wow! I got the girly and now I'm working on grabbing Carcano because she is pretty but also insane skillz.

Also, there's a discounted gatcha running right now and that means I can finally get over my mental block and spend tokens... I was surprised at how easy it's been to acquire them, so I've just been shilling em out. My dorm was totally bare until now. I'm sorry, everynyan...

As for actual gameplay, I finally made it past 2-6. It might seem like a simple thing to most but I was yet again, being an idiot. I was under the impression that I HAD to have dupes of the girls to dummy link them when I actually was swimming in dummy cores 🤦🏽‍♂️ What's wrong with me... Well, I jumped over that hurdle, blasted through the emergency missions, and am finishing chapter 3. The first parts arent so bad when you learn how to read! 😃😃😃

First eschalon is good, it's the standard one that everyone seems to use to clear the early game. This second one is a WIP mess that I'm readying for night missions. You see, I'm really hurting for half-decent SMGs and rifles, the second one there is kinda lacking in defense/fire power... I wanna create a decent second eschalon and night mission groupie but I gotta figure out what units to invest in. I hope for Carcano soon. She is cute. Also, feel free to berate me for my bad decisions and suggest decent compositions. I am so lacking in SMGs that dont immediately explode (mpk you are so cute but so stupid). I'm currently looking at friend's compositions to figure out what formations work...

In completely different news and only further proving how dense I am, I only recently learned that Girl of the Bakehouse was related to GFL. I've had my eye on Reverse Collapse for a while now since it's a remake (of a remake?! I didnt play the previous one) of a visual novel I played in 2012 or so. The original vn was made in 2009 in like Kirikiri script and I was a young lad very fixated on all things with girls and guns (Gunslinger Girl was and still is a favorite of mine, I would've read it one summer at my Uncle's out on the front porch). There's an english patch now, but back then it was only in Chinese so I had to use text extracting and image translators, looking up the characters as I went. I got a cup of coco and opened up a patched version last night for old times sake. It's clearly a doujin work with those rough edges but it's so damn confident in its presentation you can't not get swept up in the presentation. The sound work make it very immersive. I highly reccomend reading it if you want a solid, emotional war story. Looking at the sepia soaked sketches, down-to-earth narrative, dense wordbuilding and general war otaku sentimentality... It really predicted a lot of my tastes, huh... 😅

Back to work. Logistics still running. I can and WILL continue being stupid. The nostalgia is really strong, I'm tempted to draw fanart despite the sour memories of the past. Again, please berate me and tell me of your team compositions. Rictor: Io taught me. He said I should take deep breaths and relax my shoulders.

Somas: I see! Io's a good teacher.

Rictor: Yes, he is! I'll have to thank him when we meet again. Are you experienced with a handgun?

Somas: No, I've only taken one training course.

Rictor: Y-you've only done it once before this..!?

Yamarson: ...We've been walking for a while now. Will we reach the exit soon..?

Rictor: I'm sorry, this is a bit of a detour...

Yamarson: Ah, no, that's not what I meant...

Tamathony: You're awfully chipper.

Yamarson: I just wanna get out of here!

Rictor: Ah! It's right behind that corner!

Somas: Hang in there, Tamathony.

Somas: Now that Yamarson's recovered, we're headed straight for a happy ending!

Yamarson: That howl's getting louder and louder.

Rictor: I've never been there myself, so I don't know what it contains.

Tamathony: How do you know it's got a way outside if you've never been there?

Rictor: The doctors showed me a sketch of the lab in case anything happens...

Yamarson: This place is probably bigger than some little sketch.

Yamarson: We're not lost, are we?

Rictor: No, it's all stored in my head.

Yamarson: ........

Rictor: Yamarson?

Yamarson: Not that I suspect you of anything, but... You're not trying to lead us somewhere, are you?

Rictor: Huh!? I wouldn't do such a thing!

Rictor: Why would you say that..?

Somas: R-right!

Somas: He saved your life.

Yamarson: ...That's true. My bad.

Tamathony: By the way, the people from W.R.U are all about as smart as me!

Tamathony: I never forget someone I've seen, either.

Somas: You're both very impressive!

Tamathony: Hehe! It's nothing special to us, though.

Yamarson: Sorry for doubting you, Rictor. All these negative thoughts just started popping into my head.

Rictor: It's fine...

Tamathony: In any case, we gotta get to that secret area.

Rictor: Yes.

Rictor: But I'm not sure if we can get in without authorization...

Somas: Someone might've opened the way for us, like earlier.

Rictor: Right...

Somas: Let's go.

Guooooh!

Tamathony: Whoa, whoa! That was loud.

Yamarson: I've got a bad feeling about this...

Somas: It's coming from behind that door. It feels like we're about to face the final boss!

Yamarson: (Why do we keep running into places where the security's been conveniently disabled..? Was someone from this lab involved in all this..?)

Rictor: A rose mark...

Rictor: This is the doctors' laboratory..?

Somas: Rictor?

Rictor: You three should go on ahead!

Tamathony: Huh?

Rictor: If you turn here and go straight ahead, you'll reach a door that connects to the tracks!

Yamarson: Why aren't you coming with us!?

Somas: Right! What's gotten into you all of a sudden?

Rictor: The green rose on this door... It's the mark of the doctors.

Tamathony: What about it?

Rictor: I didn't see them at the hospital.

Rictor: But this... If there's a way for me to meet them, then I want to find it.

Rictor: (Please, doctors. Let me find something that proves you weren't involved in this chaos...)

Somas: It's dangerous for you to stay behind on your own! I'm coming, too!

Yamarson: Hey, are you for real..? Have you lost your minds!?

Somas: We've come so far together, I want to stay with him until the end!

Somas: I promised Io that we'd all survive to see our happy ending!

Rictor: Somas...

Tamathony: ...Right. I promised Cap, too.

Tamathony: And I'm not done analyzing this underground area, either.

Yamarson: Wha...

Tamathony: What are you gonna do, Yamarson?

Yamarson: What am I gonna do..? Ah geez, I already know where this is going...

Somas: Then let's stay together!

Somas: If something happens, please show me more of your cool knife handling!

Yamarson: Ugh... Fine. You'd better make use of that gun, too.

Yamarson: (The howl we heard back there... I feel like I've heard it before... We might find out something about it.)

Tamathony: Alright, let's go finish this!

Rictor: Everyone... T-thank you..!

Somas: We couldn't possibly miss a final dungeon of this caliber! Right, Yamarson!?

Yamarson: ...You really are nuts.

Rictor: I'll be counting on all of you!

Tamathony: Yup!

Tamathony: How much further down are we going..?

Somas: We've already gone pretty deep.

Yamarson: Hey, over there!

Rictor: Whoaaah..!

Somas: There's something big over there!

Yamarson: Is it the same as that thing we ran into in the subway?

Tamathony: Nope, it's even bigger!

Rictor: This specimen hasn't retained a humanoid form, either...

Somas: Is this also a Gathered?

Rictor: P-probably...

Rictor: The Gathered turn out like that because they absorb things from around them....

Yamarson: Ah, like the ones with weird heads.

Somas: It's such a cute creature design!

Tamathony: If only it was just a design.

Rictor: But that one is different from the regular ones. It looks almost like it endlessly consumes everything in its path.

Yamarson: So it's a mutant?

Rictor: I don't know... But it's definitely certain that it's different from normal Gathered.

Rictor: (Why would it be all the way in here..?)

Tamathony: ...Alright, time for a plan! We can't beat that thing if we just run up to it and start fighting.

Yamarson: Right. I don't wanna get too up close and personal with another one of those things.

Somas: Um...

Tamathony: What?

Somas: Both this Gathered and the one we saw in the subway... They still have their eyeballs left, even though the rest of their bodies have been dissolved.

Tamathony: Now that you mention it.

Somas: Simply put, the eyes are usually the weak point of a final boss.

Rictor: I see! So we should aim for the eyes!

Yamarson: Wha... It can't be that simple..!

Tamathony: No, they're not wrong.

Tamathony: Aiming for the eyes or head is a common hunting tactic.

Tamathony: It's worth a try.

Yamarson: .......

Tamathony: What?

Yamarson: Ah, nothing. I was just surprised to hear you say something so sensible...

Yamarson: (Did this Gathered get all the way in here? Or was it here from the start..?)

Tamathony: You're so rude.

Somas & Rictor: Ahaha.

Tamathony: In any case, let's do it! Who's got a long range weapon?

Yamarson, Somas, & Rictor: .......

Tamathony: Seriously..? A knife, a handgun, a shotgun...

Tamathony: Is this it..? I've only got an SMG, too...

Rictor: I-it'll be fine! There's four of us!

Somas: Exactly! We'll cover for you the best we can!

Tamathony: ........ Cap! I don't wanna do this anymore!

Tamathony: Once I'm done with this mission, I'm never coming down on the ground again!

Tamathony: Enough, let's just go!

Yamarson, Somas, & Rictor: Yeah!

Weapon Type Cards!

I have changed my mind about each card having special backgrounds because that would take away from the special 6 star cards and would make them less unique.

So I have decided to create a range of designs and a whole new symbol that brings these patterns together. So essentially, each card represents a weapon class, the red represents the sword class, the green represents the SMG class, the blue represents the pistol class, and a further purple, orange and yellow class would represent snipers, AR's and explosive weaponry.

I used Adobe Photoshop to create the designs using the shape tool and brush tool for mending after making rough sketches of these designs in clip studio paint. I used a brighter, less saturated colour pallet for the background colours because I think this would make it easier to print more cards because it doesn't use much ink from the printer. I also think that design wise, it won't take too much away from the text and inevitable character placement and would work with the text and chara instead of overpowering the essentials.

The Future plan is to illustrate my characters onto these cards and proceed into the printing planning stage. I think this design works a lot more than the previous and looks more official and collectable which is what I wanted with these as a personal collector myself.

I have a soft spot for NYTW Orpheus and Eurydice actually. Wanted to draw smg with them for a while. Got you two versions: rendered and sketchy cos I kinda love both. Used a photo from the production as a reference, also recorded a timelapse for the coloring part (because I forgot to turn on the recording for the sketch huh). Both ref and a timelapse are under the cut.

I loved Luca so much I wanted to draw a fanart. The movie so touching and cute and it has these summer vibes, check it out!

Made this a little challenge for myself, so I tried to keep the style true to the original movie.

P.S. I don't have a constant way of coloring stuff, so today I went with no texture and sharp shadows. Tomorrow? Who knows.

Narvin for the detailed character meme?

What I like about them: Damn that’s a lot to say! I love how he’s always so witty and sarcastic. I LOVE his character development, how he slowly understands he wants to make friends. I love how blantly honest he can be to people. I’m super excited to see how he becomes warmer towards Leela, Romana and even Brax. Also his dad vibes in the latest eps? I just love him, ok? Also he always felt more relatable for me in terms of character cos he usually tries to solve problems in the most practical (and less herioc) way. Also he’s such a disaster and he is bad at dealing with feelings.

What I dislike about them: In the earlier episodes I disliked the way he dismissed Leela. In the latest eps I don’t like him becoming too soft in terms of stating his point of view to Romana. But mb it’s because she’s his boss. However sometimes I miss earlier series Narvin who was stubborn enough to oppose to Romana.

Favourite moment: I have so many?? The whole vine cellar scene in the Erasure? That moment in s6 where he comes back to Leela and he’s so surprised she could have a though he’d leave her in danger?? That scene in Extermination where he chooses to stand by Leela’s side? Him starting the Time War to save Romana not knowing she wasn’t in danger (”Madame President...what have I done?”). These little moments in s3 where he starts to change (protecting hurt and exhausted Romana from Darkel - heartbreaking, suddenly protecting Leela from Mathias’ shittalk). “Are you offering me smg?” moment. And I can continue on and on.

Least favourite moment: I don’t think I really have one.

A situation with this character that I want to see explored more: Hilariously enough I’d like to see him doing his work more often? Like what exactly he does as a Coordinator? Plus I’d love him to have more moments with him friends when they can just talk about things that bothers then, make fun of each other in a friendly way and talk about their feelings.Mb I’d like to learn more about his family.

An interesting AU for this character: AU where he somehow become’s Doctor’s companion, lol

A crossover: idk not a huge fan of crossovers

OTP (or OT3+ etc…. just… favourite ship): Well? Do you really have to ask xDDD Obviously Leela/Narvin

Other ships? OT3 in mostly platonic way, Brax/Narvin but I kinda see it as some kind of AU and obviously Torvin (or Narvin/Andred!Torvald) this gem my guilty pleasure

BROTP: Narvin and Romana. Mb he could have get closer with Ace, but I can’t say they’re really close in the series.

An assortment of headcanons! He doesn’t like to pet animals, but animals looove him for no reason at all. Leela, Romana and Ace find in freaking funny. They find it even funnier when Ace makes them watch Snowhite together.Obviously sleeps on a sofa in his office.Occasionally sketching in his data pad/notebook during boring High Counsil meeting. That keeps him entertained when Valyas takes a word. Romana and Leela sometimes appear in his sketches. He has some funny drawings of Brax. Sometimes he randomly writes down the thoughts that get stuck in his head. There’re pages filled with Leela’s, Romana’s and him own name written in different cursives.
