Moonlight Dalliance / Izzy Hands Imagine
Tumblr media
Request: I wrote this a couple of weeks ago but I think I might have accidentally deleted it off Tumblr because I can’t find it now! Hope you enjoy and I’ll have another request out asap! 😘
Warning: spicy, implied sexual content, sword fighting, mentions of blood and some strong language!
(I do not own OFMD or it’s characters, all rights go to creators. Gif credit goes to @goodsirs.)

Before you had even reached the deck, you could hear the clashing of steel reverberating through your bunk.
If it hadn't been for the pouring of sawdust through the cracks in the ceiling beams that rained down like ash over your nostrils: if it hadn't been for the graceful leaps of careful footsteps lightly stepping in box squares above your hammock, you might have chalked down the noise to Roach's snoring. In fact, as you swing your legs over to your side and try, as quietly as possible, to land on the floor of the recreation room without waking as many as your ship mates as possible, said cook was trying to do his best impression of what could only be called a foghorn mixed with an incredibly rusty blender.
'For God's sake-!' The sound of Lucius' voice disturbing you as you were trying to tip toe towards the door almost makes you jump out of your skin. Unravelling Black Pete's arm from around his waist, he gives a final groan into the side of his pillow before throwing it in a wide arch straight at Roach's head. 'If you don't stop snoring I'll stick my wooden thumb, splinters and all, straight up your ar-.'
Thankfully, the sound of you wincing as you grab onto the handle and inch the hinges slowly backwards is drowned out by a stout HMPH as Lucius' pillow lands on Button's stomach. You can't help but let out a snicker at the way the man shoots straight up from his slumber like a scarecrow being raised in a field. He arches one eyebrow and glanced around intently. 'Attack, we're under attack!' You take the opportunity of your fellow crewmates either lunging out of their hammocks, or being tipped out onto the floor during the frantic hustle and bustle that followed to escape out to the helm of the ship. In fact, Wee John seemed to take far too much pleasure out of twirling the Swede's hammock so that the man ended up a mess of tangled limbs, yelping like a fly caught up in a spider's web as Oluwande tried to grab his arm and pull him back out. You didn't mind the good natured jostle of your friends: you had spent so much of the evening tossing and turning, unable to get the thought of one arrogant prick in particular out of your mind, and so the excuse to leave your bunk and get some fresh air was more than welcome.
The sea air - god, the sea air felt so kind on your tired lungs.
The night seemed fragile, the moonlight tender as it spilt over the creaking boards of the ship and pooled in a warm puddle around your feet. It seemed to widen within your eyes, a fine mist spraying like a wicked phantasm from its shadows and coating the surrounding sea in thin tendrils of smoke. With a mind hazed with tiredness, you rubbed at the corners of your eyes and tried to chase away that dream-like glow only the late night could bring. The sails caught in the mild wind and groaned above you, masking out the sounds of Izzy's short pants as he wiped his forehead with the untucked end of his shirt. In fact, not realising yet that you were standing only a mere few metres away from him, he grabbed his shoulder and tugged his shirt off completely, discarding it with a frustrated throw at Stede's cabin doors.
Two hands grip tighter on the wood, willing its body to relax. The tang of salt could do nothing to burn away the fizzling want banging against your ribcage, nor could the cool pinch of the helm railings distract you from the fact that you had spent every second of that day restless; as if on repeat, every time you closed your eyes, or had your thoughts distracted away from repairing the helm, or talking to Lucius, or exploring the islands Stede had insisted you all stop at so he could take Edward off on some grand adventure, you were taken back to that afternoon. The feel of Izzy Hands, the soft ache in his eyes, so desolate, so hopeful: when he had been congratulating you on a job well done fighting off some remote Englishman who had tried to ambush your crew once you had docked, and behind the thrum of his beating heart he hadn't the wit to stop his arm from reaching out and brushing the back of his knuckles against the droplets of blood splattered on your cheek.
His smile had dropped almost immediately of course, and he had run like a gun was being unloaded against his heels back into his quarters and hid there for the night, but the look in his eyes when he had touched you... god, if it wasn't enough to make Davy Jones repent his sins, for even his adoration for Calypso would seem like hatred in comparison.
Yet only the smoky gleam of the moon melting over the champagne waves kept your aching head company. The moon, being a sneaky temptress, was in fact the one thing that drew you to the cause of your distraction; squinting down onto the deck, it took you a minute to remember the reason you had come up here in the first place.
Izzy Hands. In the flesh. And lots of it, if the sweaty gleam of his bare chest was anything to go by.
It takes a moment for your mind to shape the shifting umbra into a perceptible form: he looks angry, furious, even, as his sword slices the misty air like swiss cheese and gives lashes to the main mast. The cherry wood cracks easily under the weight of his blows, the poor shaved shards that land by his feet obviously taking the brunt of the walloping you can only assume is meant for your captain.
Swallowing your nerves, you call out to the fickle shape. 'What are you doing wandering about at a time like this?'
He startles as you wander across the ship towards him, perching back against the side of the mast he was currently tearing to shreds. Incredulously, he looks you up and down before bowing his sword. Your laughter sweetens the edge of his blade, and for a moment Izzy's step falters at the sound.
‘I could ask you the very same thing. Don't you know that all the horrifying creatures slink out from the depths after the full moon rises.' He tilts his head at you, pushing his tongue up against his teeth to stop a smile from breaking like welcome dawn across his face. 'Would hate to see you get dragged away by something... wanton.'
You scratch your cheek, trying your best to hide how you were growing flustered at his words. 'Well, at least if I get dragged away I'll be going with clothes on.’
He flushed at that, head tilting down as he crossed his arms gruffly over his abdomen and blinked languidly.
'What are you actually still doing awake?', you ask, crossing your arms and doing your best not to fantasize about leaping forward and ripping the rest of his trousers straight off with one tear.
'I couldn't sleep.' What he didn't tell you, was that he couldn't sleep because he was so in love with you his heart felt like it was going to bleed out of his fucking chest any time he tried to distract himself from thoughts of you.
'Yeah, neither could I.' What you didn't tell him, was that you couldn't sleep because you were dreaming of grabbing Izzy by that scruffy collar and kissing him silly.
A tense silence suffocated the two of you, sliced only by Izzy shooting his sword through the air with one last precise carve through the freshly hollowed mast. Izzy whips out his wrist, clenching his fingers into a tight fist to try and alleviate some of the burning tension running through his joints at the desperation to touch you.
‘You did well today. As much as I hate to admit it, you can fight better than any of those other morons.’
‘A compliment? From Izzy Hands? Pinch me, I must still be dream-‘
‘Your footwork is a little rusty, though. Could use some work, so you don’t trip over and fall on your own bloody sword.’
‘There we go. There’s always a but with you, isn’t there? You can’t just give the compliment and leave it hanging.’
'I'm just saying... it would be a real shame to pierce such a breast.' Your breath hitches as his eyes dip down to contemplate the sliver of skin still on show between the free flowing buttons of your dress shirt. He sniffles, fingers almost indiscernibly tightening around the metal of the hilt as he did his best to stifle the overflowing shiver that was running up and down his legs. He keeps a tight watch on you for a moment, before biting his bottom lip with his top teeth and darting his eyes out towards the ocean, both incredibly aroused and also incredibly sheepish from having shown such weakness.
'And to ruin such a fine blade.'
He runs his hand across his beard, motion tired yet calculated. Too jolted to speak, let alone run away back down to your bunk and hide your head underneath Oluwande's arm for the rest of time, you leave Izzy the perfect opportunity to pounce.
’Here… come here’, his knuckles fold as he beckons you forward with one hand, his other still resting on the hilt of his rapier as he jabbed it into the floor and let it drop after a moment. If he had let it go just then, as he watched the swish of your hips approach him, he had a pretty good feeling his knees would buckle underneath him. ‘I have far more experience than you do. You ought to learn from a real pirate. Not the hoity toity arsehole that runs around this ship like a headless chicken.’
‘If I remember correctly’, you say sharply with a growing smile, ‘you lost against that headless chicken.’
‘Don’t.’ Before you have time to realise what’s happening, Izzy has grabbed you by the waist and rugged you back. He prays you didn’t hear the hoarse groan that jilted from the back of his throat as your buttocks bounced back against the tensed muscles of his lower abdomen. His voice is gruff and warm against the shell of your ear, but his fingertips burn with the ferociousness of a thousand lantern fires as he snakes his free hand around your shoulders and grips onto the bottom of your chin.
'Don't tease me. It won't end well for you.' His thumb digs into your jaw as he tilts your head back, and you can feel his smirk branding it’s way into the bare strip of skin between the nape or your neck and the hollow of your earlobe. Your head is fully resting back against his forehead now, and his vice on you only lessens once he’s content that you’re too far gone to step away from him.
'Put your foot... here', he guides your right foot forward with the toe of his boot, almost sinfully slowly so he could feel every twitch and tense of your quadriceps against the inside of his thigh. 'There you go, lean your weight forward-'.
He tips you then, doubling you over so your back is pushed down against his groin. You swear you can feel the curls of his hair fall in loose curls down against the small of your back, gathering that his head must be hovering just above your tailbone. For your own sake, to stop your legs from turning into jelly and letting your full weight fall so easily into Izzy's grip, you pretend the haunting moaning sound you hear must be from the hinges of the sails as they turn through the night sky.
'Perfect form', he breathes out in a short gasp against the shell of your ear once he's collected himself, his arm tightening around your stomach as he places you. His right hand drags down your arm, teasingly burning a trail right down over the back of your hand and onto your fingers as he entraps them with his own. He turns your hand, his own clenching so they fold over your own. 'That's it, now jut forward and strike.'
His knee pushes against the side of your buttocks as he jumps the two of you forward; he shoves a little too harshly, though, and just before your feet nearly trip backwards over the rotund exterior of a rogue barrel, Izzy's hand has shot out like a viper to latch its teeth around your wrist. His fingers squeeze as he tilts you upright again, a sharp exhale whistling out of his nose at how close you come to falling into his chest.
'You're not a bad teacher', you manage to laugh out between gasps, 'but unless you're packing... who doesn't bring a weapon to a sword fight?' Straddling to the side, you manage to slide down and grab onto his discarded sword, sweeping the tip through the air until it landed just below his chin. Tilting the skin up, you gaze down at him through dropped eyelids, his fingers now nearly convulsing against your wrist.
You manage to break free of his hold, grabbing onto his bare arm and pulling him so now he was the one caught in your trap. Your bicep holds around his stomach, moving with each tremble of his breath as you graze the sharp edge of his rapier down across his face and jut it under his jaw.
The bastard only smiles as you hold the edge of his blade against his throat.
'Did you really think you could win this fight?', he asks between the tight lips of a knowing smile, and it takes you a second to realise that his free hand has wrapped round to hold onto yours on top of the handle. He shoves the blade away, kicking out with his foot so you trip backwards. He easily catches you before you hit the ground.
You dance your fingers up his chest as he holds you tight against him, dipped down like lovers do during the first dance. All the stars burn deep within the depths of his soul, pouring out like razing destruction from his eyes as he keeps darting a path between your nose, and back down to your lips.
'I don't think you won this either, Izzy Hands. In fact, I think we both lost something here.' You spread your fingers out over the bare skin across his pec, feeling the flittering thud of his heart pound out against your fingertips.
By god, if he had ever been so delighted to lose.
His lips ravish you like a man shrivelled under the island sun, desperate to drown; before your gasp can fully deflate from your lungs, your legs have been kicked out from underneath you by a swift and skilled kick from the side of his boot.
Oh, he had been planning this for a long time. Had been thinking of nothing but this since he had boarded this vessel. The tightness of his arm as it snakes around your back and stops your shoulders from taking the brunt of the bounce off the boards: the way he throws his rapier behind his back without a second care, instead replacing his clenched fingers with the reddened meat of your hip as he levers you down was far too precise and meticulous to be a mere spur of the moment, subconscious thought.
An uncomfortable heat shivers over your torso and settles as an anchor weight in the pit of your stomach as Izzy grazes his right hand over the top of your thigh. Plop. Plop. Plop. His leather gloves ball as he taps his finger one by one, teasingly, against your inner thigh, using them to shove your legs wider apart. His lips pull away with a sickeningly sweet pop from your neck only for a second, as he breathlessly glances his eyes in a jagged path across your face.
He looks wonderstruck.
You can't help but reach out to touch the tough muscle of his left peck, swirling your finger across the short strands of his chest hair. The soft scrape of your fingernail soon turns into your fingers fully spreading out like the tendrils of a swift current once you feel him bury his head into the curve of your neck; his chin juts into your pulse point and the bastard has the audacity to whimper at the feel of your palm brushing over the hardened tip of his nipple.
If he wasn't living out all of his deepest, darkest dreams, the man nearly collapsed on top of you may have felt embarrassed at the way his pelvis began to buck down and brush the tightening leather over the rising line of skin underneath your belly button. In your turn to be bashful, you can feel a flush crawl over your cheeks as Izzy grabs onto the bottom of your thigh and tugs you closer, fist clenching over your ankle as he throws your right leg up and over the side of his hip bone. His hands are surprisingly soft, surprisingly gentle as he claws and kneads and mewls into you, his lips dragging down and over to the side of your jaw now with quick, tempered nicks.
You're scared his skin is going to melt off at the bone with how it burns against your hip: it holds tightly to the side of your pelvis, his thumb toying with the tassels hanging from the band of your trousers as he impetuously grinds down against you again. You can feel his shit eating smirk as the flat edge of his tongue licks a hot streak up to the shell of your ear; he bites down, tugging at your earlobe and clenching his fingernails so tightly into the soft skin at the side of your buttocks that you were amazed he didn't draw blood.
‘What on earth was that noise?! What’s going on up here! Which hooligan is up making a ruckus on my ship? And so late! I know you wanted another bedtime story, but I told you, we all need our beauty sleep!’
The glim flicker of a handheld candle illuminated out from the stairway as the ruffled hair of your captain peered out past the door like a startled meerkat. With wide eyes, he mustered the courage to lift up the skirts of his nightshirt and take a step out onto the deck, away from the safety of Ed's gentle snores as they billowed out through the crack.
Before your captain can spot the two of you caught in such an awkward position: Izzy grinding against you like a needy dog, your hand bunched into a tight fist in his hair and your legs wrapped tightly around his taut waist, he shoves a gloved finger to your lips. Annoyed at being disturbed, you tilt the hand gripping his hair backwards and smirk to yourself as Izzy dips his head down to land between your breast bone to try and hide his groans.
Before you can tease him anymore, he's gripped onto your wrist and is tugging you up; he's near carrying you bridle style in his arms as he slips past the railings of the ship, mingling in with the shadows. His hand covers your mouth to stop your giggles, carrying you off down to the bunk of his room so the two of you can carry on your midnight dalliance where your poor, confused captain wouldn't be able to hear the pounding of the bed as its frame shudders against the wall and your screams echo out against the silent moonlight.

Note
I'm very unmotivated and have untreated ADHD to boot so I don't want to make any promises if the answer is yes, but would you be ok with 3D models being made of your characters? I've been studying your anatomy on paper and I'd honestly love to try recreating it in blender. No worries if not!
Absolutely! If you ever get around to it, I'd love to see your take of them in 3D form. But no pressure!

Shop Fusion Collab - Splatoon 3
Hooooh boy, I have a lot to say about this one.
Let me preface this part by saying that this section would straight up not exist without the talented work of my teammate Nico. Not only did he model/rig Cordelia and the background, but it's thanks to him that I was able to learn the Blender animation pipeline. He was extremely patient with me and answered every question I had, and for that I'm extremely grateful.
For this section, I animated the shopkeeper Cordelia, from the game Dead Estate! While developing this part, I pitched the idea for a Splatoon 3 section and agreed to do the art for it regardless of what game it was paired with! That game ended up being Dead Estate, a game I had never heard of up to that point.
So, what followed was a period of deep research into the game as well as Cordelia, so I could get the best understanding of how to portray her in the Splatoon universe. First thing was first, I had to redesign her. Even for SiIvaGunner projects, humans existing within the Splatoon universe is a bit jarring, so I decided that for Cordelia's model sheet, I would try to jazz her design up to make her a better fit for this artstyle!
Tumblr media
I explored some potential species design before deciding to make her an urchin, as I felt like it'd be the coolest way to adapt her hairstyle. I made some minor changes to her outfit and passed it along to Nico for modeling!
Tumblr media
(image from Nico's Twitter post on his contributions, def check it out)
Needless to say I was blown away with how well he adapted the design. It came out better than I could have imagined. What soon followed was me forcing myself to learn the Blender animation pipeline from scratch!
Tumblr media
It was a very interesting but invaluable process. I am a 2D animator by trade, with very little interest in expanding to 3D, but the more I was exposed to Blender, the more natural the process came to me. I was very surprised. I think the animation took me about a month in total to create, as I was balancing it with schoolwork at the time, but I'm very happy with how it came out considering my 3D experience level.
Tumblr media
Beyond the 3D animation side of things, there was also the 2D assets needed for the UI, which I recreated from scratch through editing software with the help of some gracious Splatoon modders who were willing to help me rip UI and SFX from the game. All of the unique 2D weapon icons were drawn by me, each being direct callbacks to actual weapons from Dead Estate! Eagle-eyed viewers also may have caught that I snuck in a teaser for Prince Fleaswallow's upcoming section in the top right of the UI, which required me to make a Splatoon-styled head icon for him!
Overall, this one was a blast to work on. Everyone was surprised to see it being one of the earliest sections finished for the collab. We made sure to get it locked down because we knew we were in for a labor-intensive time if we wanted it to look just right.

iBook Pyramid Behind the scenes!
This is a long one. Also keep in mind we made this a year ago so were going completely off of memory at this point BUT we do have the files. Unfortunately we didn't save specific versions of it really early into its creation so all the blender files close to being finished.
Tumblr media
We have an intense appreciation for funky old computers. People correctly identified inspiration from the Thinkpad 701C. Less obvious in the final design but something that almost certainly influenced us as well was the 12-inch powerbook g4.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is something very satisfying about nearly-square shaped laptops.
Others mentioned the JVC 3100R pyramid TV which, you'll be surprised to learn, we had never actually seen until after working on this project. The resemblance is uncanny and yet, entirely coincidental. Honestly if we had seen this thing, it probably would have had an effect on our design because the way that hinge is set up is beautiful. Our thought process was simply just comically emulating the form factor of a modern laptop but with a giant CRT.
Tumblr media
We're pretty sure the idea started out as simply wanting to design a full profile keyboard into a macbook-like laptop because funny, and at some point the butterfly keyboard came to mind and we said Screw it and implemented that into it as well. Heres the keyboard separated into the different sections.
Tumblr media
Sorry to say that the keyboard does not actually contain any switches. (You'll see that this computer was modeled to be viewed a limited angle)
Tumblr media
Heres the keyboard from the top.
Tumblr media
Once we got going with it, the whole thing was turned into a big joke of course, clashing many different eras of technology into one. Such as this massive beige tank of a "laptop" having a single USB C port as its main I/O.
Tumblr media
And same with the software. This is the texture for the display, Which was taken from our real (unfortunately not crt based) macbook setup at the time. Except not quite, as the original screenshot was 16:10. We simply edited the image to make it 4:3. This is running mac os 12 with a majority of the icons changed to early osx equivalents.
Tumblr media
We'll be real and admit the animation is not very intricate, theres no real "rig" for the model, parts are just parented together because we did all this in about 2 days. That said, we had loads of fun animating it still, trying to imitate the motion of someone struggling to lift the heavy top up before it swings open with an inaudible, but easily imaginable "Thud". Making the whole body shake and the trackball jump slightly was the finishing touch to make it complete.
Tumblr media
The wire for the trackball was made using a circle with the screw modifier and then applied to a curve. Here's what it looks like with each modifier applied sequentially.
Tumblr media
And then making the trackball itself a handle for the curve, we can have the cable be dynamic. (Yes, we notice that the trackball in fact has no mouse buttons. No good explanation for that, I think we just forgot lmao.)
Tumblr media
For the screen, we make use of a location transform on the UV mapping for the satisfying detail of the screen distorting from the impact, which we swear we've seen before but no matter how hard we (safely) bumped our CRT monitor we weren't able to recreate it. Nonetheless even if its not entirely realistic we wouldn't remove it for anything.
Tumblr media
speaking of which, an utterly useless detail considering the resolution and distortion of the final renders and yet we added anyways just for our own amusement is that the display has a shadowmask, simply done by just multiplying it over the base screen texture.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Combined with a glass material over the inner part of the screen, it utterly destroys low sample count renders of the screen and makes the project at least 3x as prone to crashing so thats cool! (it crashed on us while we were writing this section)
Tumblr media
We've learned since in future projects that trying to optimize polygon count and materials is still very important even for offline rendered content. We can never be truly free from the constraints of memory limitations 😔
the final step was getting a more authentic less "polished" look in the compositing. This step can get very complicated based on the specific look were going for, but for this render its really just basic color correction and some blurring and sharpening steps. We used the default fake jitter node in blender at the time, though in more recent stuff we use the non-denoised image with filters applied to it instead, so its less uniform between images and more uniquely degraded looking.
Tumblr media
Though we'd do a number of things differently now were still pleased with the final result. especially in animated form.
Heres an overview of the scene:
Tumblr media
This is the bezeled apple logo in polygon form. Its simply an alpha texture with a normal map:
Tumblr media
Thats all for now! Thank you for reading!

Sanzu x Fem Reader : Make-up commentor WC:1100+ TW: strong and suggestive language Synopsis: You have your own YouTube channel and many videos suggesting certain trend catching your eye 'Boyfriends become commenters on s/o videos'. You wanted to try this with your boyfriend since he was already familiar with the platform with his sister. MDNI 18+ (unedited)
Tumblr media
“Hi my beautiful lovelies, welcome back to my channel!”  you smiled, you had your full makeup done already and decided to try a trend that everyone seemed to be doing lately . For today’s video I’m gonna be having my boyfriend doing a commentary on how I do my make up. He hasn’t seen me yet today. I texted him that I wanted him to do a commentary to a video but he doesn’t know what kinda video. He is set up in another room and I will be getting his commentary and reaction!  I honestly don't know what he is gonna say but let's get into the video shall we!” you smiled as the camera shifted to your cutie pie who was sitting down. He began to play the video and noticed it was you.
He knew already when he saw your bear face on the screen. “Oh it's one of these types of videos. Okay babe I see you lookin all cute, all natural nothing on.” He could just look at you all day if he could, it always brightened his day up. “Your face is f(beep) perfect… Oh my bad I will try not to cuss. I know you're going to edit it out when you do.Just know I love you.. I f(beep) love you.” he made a heart with his hands before his hand resting on his cheeks as he continued watching the video.
The first thing he saw was you hydrating your face with some serums and moisturizers making your skin look dewy. He looked at the screen “with all that stuff you put on your face I know one thing that could  brighten your face, hydrate and add some protein.” he smirked looking at the camera raising his brow giving a wink. “I just can’t say on camera because it might get flagged.” Foundation was the next step you began adding little dabs of your face with the droplets of foundation and taking your beauty blender bouncing it on your skin. “Oh! I know what you call this uhh it's called beating your faces.” He watches the foundation begin to melt into your skin. He noticed the slight change in your skin and brought it down to your neck “ooooo okay I was about to say your neck looked different from your face but now it’s even you good babe.”  he saw the small stick of concealer  he squinted his eyes “you're adding more!?” he saw how you placed it under your eyes and began to blend it in. “I don’t know what that is but it looks like you can cover anything with it, even your past mistakes… Can I have some?” Setting the areas of your skin with a powder he tilted your head  “This seems like too much work. Now I see why it takes your a(beep) forever to get ready now…. So why are you lookin like you're dead, you added that to your face to look dead?” he saw another brush as you began to add some color back to your face with blush and bronzer “ More shit?!?!?! God dammit woman… But as you say ‘trust the process’. Well the process is taking forever.”
Brushing your brows out, using a clear brow gel to set them into place “What the hell is that?! Is that some type of hair gel for your brows?  I thought that was mascara because of the brush thingy….” he was a bit confused seeing the small item that looked like a mascara brush.
The next time you pull out  was your liquid liner “Ohhhh I know what that is, eyeliner!” he nodded, “do it babe do it.” He seemed to be a bit more excited seeing this part of the video. He perked up in his seat. He saw you creating the sharpest cat eye look. “Damn baby eyeliner so sharp you can cut a b(beep) with your face.” he clapped his hands together. He saw you recreated that same cat eye on the other eye. “Imagine some girl is tripping and you walk over them and just blink and you cut a  b(beep)  with that sharp ass eyeliner. God I love it <3”  you began to apply the mascara to your top and  bottom lashes. You pick a pair of lashes that would go with your sharp ass liner. “That's what was missing the caterpillars….Sadly you weren’t blessed with the lashes I have.” he batted his lashes letting out a laugh “kidding babe you have beautiful lashes.”  Watching you place the glue on your false flashes letting it become take then placing it on “hmmm they look heavy on your eyes doesn’t it feel weird to put something so close to your eyeball?? Aren’t you scared the glue will shut your eyes when you blink??”
He saw you begin to trace your lips with the lipliner giving your lips a defined look. “Okay you used a different eyeliner for the lips.” He literally forgot the name for the lipliner.  But he knew the color you were placing on. It was one of his favorite colors on your lips, a pink that resembled his hair color. “I love that color on you.” he saw you apply the liquid lipstick on top. “ I know that color will stay in place. From eating to kissing to giving the best h--- oh wait i can't say that well you know what I mean it wont move.” he cleared his throat.
It was getting close to you finishing the video. You grabbed your highlighter and began to brush it on your higher cheekbone giving you a glowy look. “Highlight brighter than the sun, bet  if I turn the lights off I can still see you because of that highlighter..”   he nodded “okay okay I’m trusting your process.”
The final step he saw a spray in your hand.  You began to mist your face with the setting sprays. His eyes widened he didn’t know why you were wetting your face at all “WHY THE F(beep) DID YOU JUST DO THAT?!?! YOU LITERALLY SPENT SO MUCH TIME DOING YOUR MAKEUP TO GET YOUR FACE WET?!”  he saw you began to fan your face, noticing your makeup started to look more settled . It made your skin look flawless. “The F(beep).” he blinked a few times “Well that s(beep) is magic.” The video ended when Sanzu  looked at the camera. “I have a few things to say. 1 this shit takes forever and now I understand why.  2. You do a bomb ass job, you have to really have the patience to do something like this. 3 with makeup I love you and without makeup I still love you. You honestly don’t need to do all of this but I know you like doing it. So do what makes you happy baby. 4. Be prepared. I wanna see if you make up with sweat proof right now.” he got up, turned the camera off, exiting the room he wanted to look for you now.  “Babe, let me see your face, I know you're close!” you could hear his voice echoing in the hall.
Lets see if your make up can withstand a few hours with Sanzu.

Here's my model of the Bellhop from the Hotel Podcast!! :]
I've been working on this for a little over two weeks, since the beginning of November. It's my very first stab at making, texturing, and animating a 3D character model. Based on the official art/design by Filthyguts.
I wanted to make the Bellhop for 2 reasons: A) I wanted to choose a character from something I'm passionate and excited about so I'd have motivation to see this through and. B) The character has SUCH a fun design full of very fun distinctive shapes and proportions, I thought it'd be a fun challenge to try and recreate
I could, and have, spent nonstop hours tweaking and re-tweaking and fixing to get everything juuuust right, just that little bit extra better. But I don't want to be stuck on one character forever. And for a first attempt, I'm pretty proud of what I put together!
This project was mainly a learning process, to see how I felt about working in Blender and if I'd even like 3D modeling. I do!!!! A lot!!!! It's been ridiculously fun and I'm super excited to keep going and seeing what other kinds of things I can make as I learn more :-)

Hi Bree! This is kind of a big question so feel free not to answer, but i was wondering what process do you follow to make poses bc... QUEEN OF POSES
Like are there any tutorials that helped you learn, where do you get your inspo, what tools do you use?
I always say to myself i want to learn but i never know where to start and everytime i see your posts I'm like I NEED THIS NOW
Anyway, i love all your stuff, your sims are my protected babies, i will fight for them 🧡
HI BEAAA first off, TYSM this means so much coming from u!! <3
I usually come up with my own pose ideas & try to reenact it first in real life to understand how joints work but sometimes I reference poses from movies/shows/ photoshoots photos on Pinterest & add extra elements to it! (I.e. Yasmine)
The program I use is blender & I watched a lot of starter tutorials at first which I linked all of them here. I suggest looking at references (Pinterest) and try to recreate them, it gradually gets better 💌

Newest Lego Set – The Enchanting Table!
Replicate the famous enchanting table area from hit server Area Unknown SMP! This set contains 3 Mini figs - Aimsey, Guqqie and Michela!
[Ramblings abt this below!!!]
OKAAY HOLLYYYY SHIT. So. I started working on this march 30th after I made a lego themed thing for my work! I made a lego version of our work like character person lmfao and i was like hm... this is super cool i kind of want to do my own project with this! So i thought ooo I can make either area unknown or maybe like soul swap! so I was watching michela and was like hai would you reckon AU or SS would be cooler in lego and she said probably area unknown and so then i set off designing the characters! I started with Guqqie’s first and did the jacket. I made it while watching the lego batman movie because its a baller movie... BUT ANYWAY YAS! So i started with the jacket. Because this was the first time I was doing this and really didn’t know how to go about recreating the lego look in terms of lines and stuff so i used 2 of the mecabricks like lego designs and mushed them together annd then from then on i kind of got a feel for everything and was able to design my own more effiencetly! Once i finished guqqie i moved on to to michela’s! and holy shit hers was a bit of a nightmare LMFAO. so i started with the hat because there was no actual bucket hat i used a top hat and then edited it to get the right shape before adding on the axolotl bits! the rest of the design was quite simple and then i went to the hair. GOD. okay so i used 2 mixed together and her bit at the front is actually a pony tail that i re-sculpted and meshed and it made me want to end it all a bit... I was going to add her jacket but i just didn’t know how and also valued my sanity a bit so i decided to Not do it. Before moving on to aimsey’s i actually did the build portion! and MY FUCKING GOD. okay so basically i couldn’t find flats for the minecraft textures that were HD enough so i decided to pixel by pixel recreate every single one! Every. Single One. All of the blocks are 16x16 i believe and i hand colour dropped everyone from shitty screenshots i found of the blocks. Mapping them in blender would seem easy! its just a bunch of cubes and rectangular prisms... but no No it was not. trying to lego ify it was even worse. so like i found a youtube vide that showed how to use geometry nodes to create the lego effect but it just didnt have the effect i wanted so i went ahead and did it by hand... and then i had to fucking RE MAP every block because it fucked it up... i only wanted to slightly end it all... and then finally i went back to aimseys design! you cant really tell but the arm cast is actually seperate to the arm! i duplicated the piece, scaled it up slightly removed a bunch of the bits and then used the solidify modifier and then mapped the bandage on it! I sculpted the horns form 2 circles and then just kind of deleted random bits for the broken one lmfao! once all that was done i rendered them all adding them illustrator where i designed the box and then brought THAT into blender to get renders of the box! I then added all 3 minifigs, the build And the box into 1 blender project to create a cool epic scene to show off the complete set! and thats how i did this!

if it's okay, would you mind sharing your art process? your style is SO gorgeous dude. keep it up spardacest nation!!!
Thank you so much anon, and of course! I kinda posted about it on twitter a while ago, but for anyone not also on there, here's a paraphrasing of what I said there! (under a cut bc it's gonna get a bit long)
(speedpaint video from procreate mostly bc like I also said in that post, it's one of the few pieces I've done entirely on procreate and thus entirely recorded kdfjhdk I usually don't do the sketching + painting parts on there but every now and then I get lazy and want to get it all done quick in one program lol! It's not as good as it would look if I were using krita to render (which is what I normally use) but it gets the idea across decently of what it is that I do)
The short version of my process is: sketch, clean up sketch for lineart, then flat colors, then paint over the flats (i make the flats my shadows and paint on the light), then a multiply layer for skin details (like lips, eyebags, etc), then an overlay layer for skin transparency details (red over the ears/nose/fingertips etc), then i do hair over the lineart, then a multiply layer with the contact shadows in a light beige/grey/neutral tone on top of everything else, and then i unify layers, paint over the details, and color correct the HELL out of it The longer version is: SO, first of all, I will say, my entire process for a finished/fully redered piece is pretty scattered and uses a lot of different apps, because after many years of trying out different drawing apps I found that I just worked better when I could incorporate the parts I liked best from each individual one rather than having to adapt to another app entirely! In total, what I use is: autodesk sketchbook and procreate for the first half I do on my ipad, then krita and photoshop on my computer when I'm actually rendering (but any photo editing app instead of ps will do, I'm just used to photoshop bc that's what I learned as my first drawing app WAAAY back in the day lol), and then meitu on my phone for color filters (also any phone editing app with filters in it will do), AND also optional just for references: blender and daz3d on computer + magicposer on my phone The actual step by step of what I do: First of all, if I want to do a detailed, well rendered piece I will start by getting my references ready. That means either just grabbing a screenshot from the game if it's like, a simple portrait, or a photo reference, taking a picture of myself in the right pose/lighting, and if it's something more complex I will recreate the scene in Daz3D to simulate a realistic lighting, OR even just blender (i have the game models for the dmc characters downloaded, so I can just pop them in, pose them and change the lighting to get a realistic idea of what shadows their faces will cast in that specific angle/lighting.) Note: references are pretty essential to me, and there's nothing to be ashamed about for using them! Personally I don't struggle a lot with the drawing/sketching part of art, but my tiny little pea brain cannot fathom how to make an object 3D in my mind, and how to visualize shadows realistically... thus the reliance on 3D programs to do that for me, and then all I have to do is draw what I'm seeing lol. My art improved significantly ever since I started making 3D refs so I could get /exactly/ what I needed - there's still a lot of leeway you need to learn though, because as realistic as the lighting will be in a rendering program, you'll never really get a fully natural looking image, as far as stuff like the body stretching/squishing/pulling when it's in movement, facial expressions, folds in clothing/fabric, etc... so really it's more a guide than something meant to be followed 1:1.
Then, once I'm confident I know exactly what I'm gonna draw/have the idea in my head, I start sketching it in sketchbook. Not really getting very in depth, just blocking out rough shapes - I like sketchbook and to be on my ipad for that because it feels very reminiscent of traditional sketching on paper to me, which while I'm not super confident on my traditional art abilities, I do get the most natural/fluid/non-stiff figures out that way. Then when I think I have the general idea ready, I export the sketch layer as a png and import it into procreate - which is where I kinda start picking at the sketch and polishing it like i'm carving it out haha. Lots of liquify tool, flipping the canvas to check if it's even, blending out some of the lineart to help out with the rendering later, and then polishing up what was once the sketch into serviceable lineart. I usually reimport it back into sketchbook at this stage - while I like procreate for drawing I don't love the brushes I can use for lineart there, and so I usually only draw the "base" naked figure in there - when I'm in sketchbook I use a hard pencil to refine the details, then on a separate layer add all the things "on top" like hair, clothing, etc - usually I can get it pretty easily in one go, and once I'm satisfied I erase the naked body under the clothes and unify the lineart layers. Then I will just do the flats with a hard brush, turning the lineart layer into an overlay layer and coloring things in with the shadow colors. At this point, I export the file as a psd and import it on my computer - I give it a once over in photoshop first to see if there needs to be any adjusting (like whether any layer that has an effect needs to have a different effect, if all the colors look right since the ipad screen isn't the most faithful, if i wanna change the background color, etc), and once I think it's ready enough, I open it up in krita, where I do the actual bulk of the painting/rendering (as to why specifically krita: it's because I've gotten very comfortable with the brush/painting brush dynamics there and cannot seem to get as good results anywhere else, it's just the goldilocks spot of a brush for me haha.) If anyone's curious, here's the brushes I usually use for painting:
Tumblr media
The one in the middle is my go to painting brush, left one for tinier/more refined details, right one for blending out soft shadows (though I learned the hard way to not overuse it, or it will look like I went ham with an airbrush tool lol). (I don't change any of the settings on these brushes, so if you wanna try out the exact ones I use! Just fresh off how they come out the app haha) I paint on the lights on top of the shadows, and just focus on that for the time being - once I'm done with the basic painting, I'll make a separate multiply layer for details like lip color, eye waterlines, makeup if there is any, eyebags, etc, and then adjust the opacity until it feels right - then I'll make an overlay layer with skin translucency details (like, when you hold your hands in front of a light and see the tips of your fingers become bright orange - many parts of your body are always a bit translucent to the blood underneath, specifically parts where the skin is thin like noses, cheeks, joints, knuckles, etc, and I found it makes the character look a lot more alive to add that subtle coloring in) - then usually I do hair on a separate layer on top of the lineart (because that way I can add small flyaways, more details, etc, and just use the lineart as a guide) After that, I'll usually make a multiply layer on top of everything where I'll add contact shadows in a neutral color (usually pretty pale, it'll be darker anyway since it's multiply), and once I feel like I've rendered everything out properly, I save the psd and re-open it on photoshop.
In photoshop, I'll mess around with the layers a little bit more (changing hue/saturation, opacity, etc), fuck around with the background to make it look pleasing, and once I'm happy with it, I'll unify the layers and start color correcting - usually by duplicating the unified layer and messing with the curve/hsl of the image and then changing the opacity of that edited layer until it's as strong or muted as I want it to be - then I also edit the RGB curves individually and adjust the opacity of that also (because I just really like how it ends up looking if I give a bit of a red/warm tint to the shadows lol), and at that point often I will reimport the finished image into procreate for some finalizing touches! Like, blending out shadows that came out too harshly, painting over anything that came out not the way I wanted it, redefining the lineart if it got messy during painting, and adding any extra small detail that might have gotten lost like catchlights, hair shines, hair flyaways, tears, etc. I also do one last round of flipping the canvas and liquify if needed! At this point, I export the finished image both to my computer and my phone - on my phone I open it up on the photo editing app, and add a bunch of different color filters - I don't hesitate from going completely balls to the walls here, and just kinda applying as many filters as will make an image look pleasing to my eye. Once I think it looks good, I'll export the edited image to my computer - and then open both the version without filters and the one with them on photoshop, and use the filtered version as an opacity layer, and adjust it until it doesn't look as crazy anymore lol. One last step I recently started incorporating was also changing the image to grayscale after I'm done, and doing one last round of curves in greyscale to make sure the values look right, and nothing is getting too lost because the values are too similar (because i know i get a bit swept up in getting repulsed by harsh contrasting lighting and can end up washing out all of rendering if I don't check myself kjdfgk) AND that's it! Yes it's a pretty long and chaotic process, but it's coming from years of trial and error and realizing I can just let myself fo whatever makes me happier with the results, and I don't have to stay constrained to one program if I don't like every tool it has to offer/don't have to accept the final image fresh off the painting app as the "finished" image with no adjustments allowed after, lol. I don't find it takes a lot more time than if I didn't do it this way, but YMMV. Hope this was helpful and sorry for taking so long to explain! I just wanted to give a thorough explanation dfhdkhkx

If anyone has any Bionicle bootlegs, please DM me pictures of any unofficial part-moulds from multiple angles. I want to try recreating them in Blender so I can make a "bootleg-pack" for Studio.

Today I found amazing portobello mushrooms at my local grocery store so I decided to cook some sauce: it's very easy to make and it's suitable for vegetarians, vegans and for those who simply want to try something different and meatless!
- ingredients, recipe and images of food below the cut -
Portobello mushrooms and walnuts sauce
- three big portobello mushrooms (approx. 300g) - half an onion (quantities may vary, depending on your taste) - walnuts, soaked in hot water for 30mins (for this recipe I used about five) - plain tomato sauce (approx 3 cups) - a pinch of sugar - salt and pepper - spices and herbs (I like cloves, nutmeg and thyme) - extra virgin olive oil - half a glass of water - white wine (optional)
You will need: - a food processor/blender - a large pot
Start by slicing the onion and roughly dicing the mushrooms. I prefer a thin cut for the onions but that's totally optional, since they will be put in a food processor together with the mushrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cover the base of a large pot with extra virgin olive oil and put it over medium heat, then add the onions when the oil starts heating up but it's not too hot; when the onions become translucent add the mushrooms, half a glass of water (or a splash of white wine if you feel fancy) salt & pepper and let them cook over medium heat until they shrink to approx half their size.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
While the mushrooms are cooking, put the walnuts in a food processor and set them aside. I always make sure they're finely chopped 'cause that's how I like it but if you don't mind a bit of crunch you can make bigger pieces, it's all a matter of personal taste.
Tumblr media
When the mushrooms and onions are ready put them in the food processor. The original idea behind this recipe was to make a vegetarian/vegan ragù sauce using mushrooms and walnuts to recreate the small pieces of minced meat but you should find out which size works best for you!
Tumblr media
Once the mixture is ready put it back in the pot, add the walnuts and the tomato sauce, stir everything together and cook over low heat for about 25-30 mins. I like to add my herbs and spices halfway through but they can be added only at the end, with a pinch of sugar to contrast the acidity of the tomato sauce.
Tumblr media
My own two cents: there really isn't a right or wrong quantity of tomato sauce you can use but if the final result turns out too runny it won't stick to your pasta the way it should.
Also, imho the best choice for this sauce would be a rough type of fresh pasta (such as pappardelle or tagliatelle) in order to create the perfect 'grip'.
This recipe is also perfect for lasagna!!
Buon appetito!!!

Hello, I really adore your art and the way you draw and I was wondering how you draw faces/heads realistically. Do you have any references on how you draw this way?
Hello! thank you!
i already draw for like... a long time so style just developed to how it is now. by trying out different things and going through my fair share of artist picking up what i like form each of them. ending up with... where i am now.
some fundamentals and studies are good to begin. examples of that are like skull studies. or face studies or try out the 100 head challenge by Ahmed Aldoori. you don't have to go into vary detailed shading or realistic recreating the reference. you are in this case studying and practicing your hand. and most of all expanding a visual library about how different faces look. young to old, diverse to classic feminine to classic masculine. different noses, different hairs, different chins.
you are gonna have a favorite face shape that makes drawing easier for you. same face syndrome is real and sometimes a pain to deal with. so i personally recommend to practice early on at least 3 different ones together just to have a slight variation. (round, square, oval)
your visually library doesn't have to stay in your head alone. you can have your own folder on your phone, make small models out of clay for your personal help. find a model or an actor that has features you find exiting and think fit well to the character you intent to draw. so you can see the face in different angles or if you are skilled egnoth build a rough 3D model in blender. these are visual helps.

art is a skill and at the same time your interpretation of the world how you see it. you could be drawing in a realistic way but for some reason all your characters still have like vary round ears because you think the shape is nice. or you want to pronounce the inner corner of the eye. or just like me you realize more and more that you just have a thing for teeth and you begin to embrace this possible obsession you were not aware of before...

How does a person start learning to bake without *any* of the typical equipment sans a shitty oven? No stand mixer, no hand mixer, not even a scale or blender
So I, like many on this site, am a fan of B. Dylan Hollis' videos where he recreates historical recipes with his own (very funny) running commentary. In one of his longer, more serious videos, he commented that he deliberately avoids using tools like a stand mixer or a blender, because those aren't necessarily things most people have---and the truth is, you can beat eggs, knead dough, and whisk cream just as well without the gadgets. It might take a little longer, and you might get an upper body workout, but the tools are just tools. They're not necessities.
I think that's important to remember, if you're interested in getting into cooking and baking. A lot of recipes you'll find online presume that you have access to a wide array of cooking tools---if you don't, there are plenty of work-arounds, or substitutions, or even just accepting that your berry frosting might have perceptible bits of berry in it, because you don't have an immersion blender. (I do not have an immersion blender.)
Start with basics. Beer bread is spectacularly easy; a basic yeast bread doesn't require a dutch oven to bake. Boxed cake mix with buttermilk and an extra egg, adding your own twist to the frosting, is better than most of the stuff you'd buy at a commercial bakery. Try store-bought puff pastry, braided, with a cream cheese and fruit filling. Experiment with gelatin, which generally doesn't require anything more than a hot liquid that can be turned into jello. (I've got a great panna cotta recipe, if you want it!) You can even make mousse on the stove top, if you have bowls and pots that can be jury-rigged into a double-boiler.
Plenty of people have been making food throughout history without a KitchenAid stand mixer. It would be silly to insist that ours is the first generation that can't.

Thank you for the breakdown of that AI madara art! I have a hard time noticing an AI image without looking very closely and that helped.
I'm curious tho, while I refuse to use the existing major tools because of their unethical data sourcing and lack of public transperancy. I can't help but think every time i see AI art "wow! i would be so happy to see a visual recreation of an idea i have that i personally couldn't create without such a tool"
I would like to know your thoughts on what ethical use , if any, of applied statistics(aka AI) would look like for users and artists in the future?
(personally trying to get people to not call what we currently see as AI, because it is not intellegint in and of itself but rather capable of applying statistics that it knows to a problem in a human guided manner, calling current tech intellegent is dangerously misleading, and gives deniability to those responsible for the ethical failures of their misuse of data)
great last paragraph in this ask. love the username
for your dilemma, why not see if you can try to learn blender, which i think sounds like it could work best for your vision(?), or write/draw your ideas on post-its as a start and go from there(i do this all the time), or commission artists, or talk with other creators to figure out where to start in your endeavor? basically, there is always an avenue. i hope i don't sound chiding or condescending when i say this btw, it's a genuine question. i am of the firm belief that it is never too late to pick up a new skill, all that you need is the will and want to put in the time and effort. yes it is very time-consuming and will be frustrating, but the payoff of your personal satisfaction will offset that
that said. i mulled over this today and honestly the only thing i can imagine where applied statistics could work in the creative sphere are just that - statistics. set in stone numbers and mathematics. tl;dr should only be used for numbers/math based/logarithmic calculations, and artwise should at most only be used for basic (<-key word) topography/geography since these have undisputed science behind it.
what i came up with is that it could best be applied as projections, that is to say figuring out dates/times for things like serials or movies, file sizes, final output yield, audience outreach (NOT reception), manpower needed for the endeavor, basically numbers. in that, i think MAYBE and this is a big MAYBE it could also be used in work that is heavily geography based like calculating perspective and city planning in the work (how many buildings and how tall. angles, geometry, distance, that sort of thing) but organic items can not possibly be beholden to a mathematical algorithm and should not be touched by an information feed so easily poisoned by people. for example, a long-held interest of mine is meteorology, and the other day i was absolutely boiling and the heat index was so high i decided to look up what the math behind the heat index was. well, in short, even that is a math that varies from person to person.
there are simply too many variants behind using applied statistics in art, the biases of the input are too heavy, nature and people can not ever be fully understood by machines, and artificially generated art is soulless and more often than not quite frankly looks like shit. the appeal to the common denominator in art will, dare i say, always fail. to quote harlan ellison, "[w]e had given AM sentience. inadvertently, of course, but sentience nonetheless. but it had been trapped. AM wasn't God, he was a machine. we had created him to think, but there was nothing it could do with that creativity."

Step 4: Boot plate/knee cap & Pants. Blender pt 3
Tumblr media
The boots are done! Used a plane and extrusion to make the plate and the knee caps. Got to experiment with the Shade Smooth some more as I wanted to preserve a crisp line down the middle, but to be otherwise smooth everywhere else. The knee caps were more of an investment than was probably necessary and I was struggling to get the shape right, but decided I no longer cared about perfecting a detail that didn't really didn't need to be knocked out the park as far as 1:1 recreation goes, which freed me up to move on.
Tumblr media
BUT before I did, I was looking up tricks to making belts/straps and discovered the world of Blender brushes! I will probably try to make my own belt, but also, I would like to get acquainted with this new tool. I'm actually very relieved since it looks like the surface brushes will go a long way in supplementing/finishing whatever I sculpt, since I currently lack the finesse to do it all on my own.
Speaking of fabric...
Tumblr media
I started working on the pants! It was a very welcomed change of pace lol. I wasn't sure how to approach these since they would ultimately be one piece rather than two separate ones, so I did my best to build without modifiers and to mirror on the x-axis instead. It took some getting used to but I learned that things that aren't NEAR identical will simply not be mirrored in this way, but I was actually fine with that since I don't want these too be too symmetrical. I also thought about making the top + legs as separate pieces but ended up extruding it all :^) (thus successfully putting off learning how to smoothly merge two objects by at least 1 session).
I'm really happy with the progress so far, especially on the left leg where you can see the results of fabric/folds! This was another step I fully intended to do with epoxy after it was printed, but I started to experiment with things and I think it looks pretty good. I sampled what it would look like with smoothing and it wasn't GREAT, but definitely workable. So the plan now is to block in the major shapes, establish some weight on the fabric, and supplement texture + smaller creases + details with brushes down the line.
Tumblr media
Week 1 recap: Three blog posts and three progress check-ins. I'm really enjoying this entire process so far and am pleasantly surprised by how much I am currently able to accomplish in a medium with a fairly difficult learning curve. All about baby steps at this point.
Up next: Finish the pants, then either gloves or straps!
