tell me more about this mereel fellow. where does he come from. what’s his story.

No art for this one, I'm afraid.

Mereel Skirata and his brothers are from the Star Wars Legends book Series Republic Commando by Karen Traviss. I simply play with them like Barbie dolls, and them being book-only characters, there aren't many illustrations of the boys to work off of.

You can find a fairly succinct introduction to Mereel on his Wookieepedia entry, but essentially he and his five brothers were the Proof of Concept batch of clones that the Kaminoans developed before the Alpha-Class. There were 12 total, but only 6 of them ended up being viable thanks to the "extreme" gene tweaking the Kaminoan Geneticists did to the embryos.

They were slated for "reconditioning" which at the time meant termination, but were saved by a Mandalorian training sergeant named Kal Skirata. The boys were then raised to be "instant death on legs" (I love that term lol) and eventually into stellar Black Ops CLONINT units.

There is a lot more to it, and I do recommend reading the book series. KT did a good job of delivering some interesting characters, even with the limited POVs and some other stuff that didn't age well.

What Mereel's role is in the whole Null-Class unit is a bit vague in my opinion, but it sounds like he mostly rolls around as a subterfuge specialist and a bit (understatement) of a Genetic Engineering Nerd. He likes fast cars, attractive women, and candy—just like any other virile young man set loose on the world, lol.

His favourite place to meet contacts and hang out are in seedy cantinas, where I reckon he's a hell of a sabacc player, though we never got to see much of his adventures in the novels. Most of our experiences of Mereel are on the side, and from the lens of an outsider. He's like some massive, looming leviathan underneath the surface of a still lake. I want so badly to explore how fucked up he is inside, because we catch glimpses of it but it's never quite enough.

Heyy, this is for your “liar, liar” fic lore. I was wondering how Gojo became Megumi’s godfather? Loving the fic btw, so just wanted to know how the family became a family in the fic? Geto too and his daughters. Also Tsumiki - in the Anime she’s Toji’s stepdaughter so what are the relations in this fic? Sorry if this makes no sense I’m operating on 3 hours of sleep but this fic is too good 🤩 An alternate world where they’re all happy and Megumi has a childhood friends to lovers with reader? omg i love answering questions and i love talking about the family dynamic so plS, SEND IN MORE 😭❤️

let's start off with gojo and megumi (my favourite duo in canon and fanon 😋).

just bare in mind that i'm not gonna reveal too much info, mainly 'cause i have a whole other sequel/prequel (idk what to call it because of it's very unique layout) for the whole family situation i have going on here :)

to fit the whole godparent situation better, i had gojo aged up about 2-3 years so that when megumi would be born (2002) gojo would be 17, a fine age to be appointed godfather to a child (even if it is pretty young). so gojo's birth year is 1987.

how did he become a godfather to megumi? it's a stupid way, really, because the family dynamic is a literal joke (you'd have seen this in chapter 3, the airport scene, where literal CHAOS ensues wherever they go). long story short: at mamaguro's work place, where gojo worked for a bit at 17, it involved interacting with kids, like toddler aged kids and so on. she saw this, saw how he was doing pretty well with them, and after forming a bond with him, appointed him as godfather 💀 (without telling toji). and that's it, really. now you might assume that this is why toji hates gojo in the fic, and to some extent, it is, but there is a WHOLE different back story to that which i don't want to dive into just yet, and once the initial fic is done, you'll know :)

as for geto and his daughters, it's even more simpler than gojo and megumi, really. in chapter 2 of ‘liar, liar,’ i mentioned the kfc breakup and how i changed it for the fic. gojo and geto were going to work in a state school because of the whole we-hate-rich-people vibe they have going on (a parallel to the canon-verse where they hate curses and have to protect the weak: here, they're protecting the poor). but geto ends up working at a private school without letting gojo know and he reveals it at kfc 😔 (poor gojo). now why does this relate to mimiko and nanako? geto visits an orphanage, sees mimiko and nanako as vulnerable, weak kids, and then adopts them. simple as. nothing spoiler-worthy here :)

now for tsumiki and toji! this was really difficult for me to decide. you're right, in the anime, she's his stepdaughter, but there's a reason why in the fic, she isn't. instead, she's his goddaughter. initially, i wasn't going to have tsumiki in the fic, but then i remembered how important she is to megumi in canon, and you'll have noticed how i keep canon in the story but change it so there're no curses, killing, or fictional aspects (everything is realistic). if i kept her as toji's stepdaughter, it would have meant that he had relations to her mother, which wouldn't have been bad at all, if mamaguro didn't exist. but she does. because again, this universe is where everyone lives and nobody dies. so he has no relations to tsumiki's mother the way that he had in the anime (sleeping with her for money). but how did he become her godfather? there had to be some relationship if not for that type?

i can't go into too much detail with this. it relates to the whole gojo/toji situation, and therefore contains a lot of spoilers. all you need to know, as of now, is that he became her godfather through her dad, his former best friend. there's a reason why, there's a whole backstory to that and the clan's involvement to it, which will be explained in the sequel/prequel :)

i’ve been so extra obsessed with breeding/pregnancy lately and i’m wondering if it has anything to do with the fact i had to go without birth control for a while because of my insurance or if i’m just like. having some sort of strange awakening

WISH LIST FOR RYUTO.

will update if i have more ideas.

arranged marriage au. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily have to lead to romance, but Ryuto is a rich kid, so I can see his parents marrying him off to someone they would think is suitable for him and him just going along with it, because from a young age, he had already accepted this to potentially be within his future due to who he is. He, however, would secretly be miserable the whole time, because if at all possible, he would rather be the one to choose his partner; only, he’s under the impression that what he wants doesn’t matter. so he’ll reluctantly stay engaged to whichever girl he is supposed to be marry. This means he’ll act civil around her when others are watching, but in private, he might make it apparent he doesn’t like her (especially if she doesn’t happen to be the brightest) and might sleep around with other women while engaged to her. However, this would only work for girls who at least come from respectable families, because his mother actually looks down on women who don’t fit her standards.

Since Ryuto mentioned he’d never been to an amusement park before, I have this headcanon he also never really tried out commoner things like takoyaki or crepes because he was told it was apparently ‘beneath’ him, but he’s always been curious, so someone letting him try foods or drinks everyday people eat is something I really want.

Just him having matching earrings with another muse, to be honest. Like, as I mentioned before, Ryuto isn’t really the most fashionable person, but he does collect earrings and likes to have one dangling from one ear, so I think it would be really cute and wholesome for him to get matching earrings with another muse.

Someone running their hands through his soft, floofy hair... then again, Ryuto struggles to get along with others and already doesn’t like being treated as though he were a child, so I doubt he’ll react favourably to this unless it’s done by someone he’s personally fond of. *coughs* Most likely a female aligned muse who he doesn’t find irritating... *coughs* but yeah, I just want someone to be affectionate to him, because he’s constantly misunderstood and looks after others more than he looks after himself.

Perhaps someone who would agree to his more... debaucherous kinks? Honestly, I discussed this with Basil before, but Ryuto is a selfless boy who never really gets to have sex he’s ever really satisfied with, because he’s always prioritizing the girl’s pleasure over his own and sexuality is more repressed in Japan, so I doubt he’s really open about what he actually likes, because it’s not exactly... vanilla by society’s standards. Like, yeah, he might not have any trouble attracting women, but aside from Yuno, I honestly get the impression that all the girls he’d ever slept with are very vanilla.

Ryuto interacting with more neurodivergent folks... especially if they happen to be autistic, because he treats them differently due to the fact they’re someone he deems to be ‘less privileged’, and also, he himself happens to be autistic, so I’m sure he’d be able to sympathize/relate! Either way, he’ll definitely be more understanding towards them.

Muses who actually work for Ryuto, whether they be his servants, the cook, or his personal tailor. Of course, I can always invent NPCs for this, but I feel like I’m always the one coming up with OCs for my blorbos, so it would be nice if someone would give their muse a maid/butler verse or something, because it would give me an excuse to write more pre-established interactions with Ryuto.

After I remembered Rae’s Sonia actually knew how to speak and write in thirty languages, it actually occurred to me Ryuto would be able to effortlessly pick up new languages like it’s nothing, so it got me thinking... if Ryuto’s speaking in English, he’ll probably refer to women as ‘Miss/Mrs’ and men as ‘Mister’, so it would be interesting if I had a thread where he’s conversing in English with a non-Japanese speaking muse for once, because the cultural differences between both him and the non-Japanese speaking muse would be pretty notice-able and fun to write. I also want to see how non-Japanese muses react to his English!

is there any possible way to ask/suggest that someone who's unskilled at a thing to stop trying to give ~helpful advice~ to someone who's highly skilled without sounding rude/dismissive/arrogant/etc??

there is a Particular Person who STAYS commenting on some of my violin stuff with absolutely wrong and useless bullshit like ~remember, you don't need to press super hard on the string for pizzicato~ which is just?? BLATANTLY AND UNEQUIVOCALLY FALSE AND LITERALLY ANYONE WHO'S A HALFWAY DECENT PLAYER KNOWS THIS, but overconfident ~amateurs~ be parroting that shit all the time because it's what beginners are taught so they don't put too much strain on their joints/ligaments/muscles/tendons before they've built up enough strength and endurance to handle it long-term. And most of these overconfident amateur players, I guaranfuckingtee you, continue to believe that ~beginner~ technique is Correct In All Circumstances, hence why they never improve, hence why they confidently butcher difficult pieces, hence why they feel perfectly empowered to go forth and ~teach~ other amateur players the same bad techniques and false information.

and i legit find myself feeling angry??? when some such person, in all their mediocre glory, posting all their lil videos of themselves being loud and wrong as they butcher a piece that's HELLA above their paygrade and play not one single note in tune or even with good tone quality, shows up on MY demonstration of a properly executed technique with some ~It Helps If You [thing that doesn't help]~

so far i just have been ignoring those kinds of comments but given that i have a really fucking personal beef with shitty players who are even shittier teachers who con people into paying them money to teach them, there's a bigass part of me that wants to call them out directly and suggest that they actually go and learn a fucking thing or two about legitimate violin technique before they have the goddamn gall to go tossing unsolicited ~advice~ at Actual Professionals, LET ALONE taking people's money to ~teach~ them all that Wrong Bullshit.

but despite my upsetness and my desire to make shitty teachers aware of what they need to improve on before they should feel comfortable taking anyone's money, i'm ALSO hellaaaaaaaa non-confrontational and am averse to initiating any kind of interaction that seems like it may result in a soured relationship or hurt feelings or just cause someone to look at me in a negative light on account of me being, idk, elitist or arrogant or condescending.

want!

to be able to tell someone directly that their entire understanding of violin technique is based on the most basal, rudimentary aspects of beginner technique and is not just inadequate for, but also damaging to the pursuit of learning advanced technique, and that they're doing everyone who ever has a ~lesson~ with them an AWFUL disservice and are undoubtedly setting them up for total failure and that the fact that they even felt comfortable trying to offer ~technical suggestions~ to a player who is blatantly LIGHTYEARS beyond their skill level is a glaring and troubling indicator that they truly have absolutely no genuinely useful knowledge or understanding about classical music full stop - not just as it relates to violin technique. (bc let's be real, if you play SO BADLY that exactly 0 notes are in perfect intonation and your string crossings are jacked the hell up and your left-hand-articulation is a weak, garbled SHITSHOW and you somehow still manage to think you're doing it right, you're not just a bad player - you're also very probably tone deaf, and definitely have shitty taste, and your musical deficiencies are way more profound than just being a poor violinist.)

but all those words sound mean no matter what order i put them in or what synonyms i swap shit out for :(
