Wangxian fic recs pt3
(Part 1 here, part 2 here)
Was the Alcohol Sweet, or Was it Your Mouth? by weiyus
Wei Ying believes Lan Zhan should get to experience alcohol, but sadly Lan Zhan has a low alcohol tolerance. His solution to the problem? Simply have Lan Zhan kiss Wei Ying after Wei Ying drinks alcohol. It's fool proof! What could go wrong?
Honestly a bit silly concept, but you know, it's still good
your love is sunlight by doodlebutt
So we gave Wei Wuxian a new golden core. We got Wangxian together over a decade earlier than canon. We rescued the Wens without causing a political nightmare.
Job done, right?
Nope :D
No quote excerpt on this one -- we don't reach the problems until after quite a few chapters of fluff, so I'm not going to give them away just yet!
This diverges from MDZS canon rather than CQL (so no yin iron, etc)
This is a part of larger series, but overall, just cute fluff
Far Away You Are by cqlorphan
Suddenly, it snaps into place. The weary way Lan Zhan has been holding himself is suddenly cast in a new, much more distressing light. Somebody is responsible for it, a real live, horrible, blind, stupid person. The combination of guilt, sadness, and anger that sets in all at once is hard to contain. Lingering wisps of resentment that remain from the night-hunt flock to him, like calling to like.
All four boys stare at him with wide eyes.
“Wei-qianbei,” Sizhui says. “You look...um…”
“Scary,” Zizhen breathes, beaming.
“Who has rejected Lan Zhan?” Wei Wuxian asks.
Or; during one of his visits to the Cloud Recesses, the juniors strike a blow to Wei Wuxian's certainty that his feelings for Lan Wangji are one-sided.
Oh the oblivious guys mhhhmmm yeah that's the thing.
Imbalance by blueingaround
In hindsight, Wei Wuxian should probably have known something like this would happen. But he was the first person to really invest so much in demonic cultivation and the only way to find out more about how things worked was to simply try them out. The thing about having to deal with ghosts and often harvesting their anger for power is that you can’t really choose which ones are the best fit, especially when you’re desperate and need all the help you can get.
aka Wei Wuxian has an imbalance of yin energy and can't deal with it on his own bc he doesn't have a golden core anymore, he needs to dual cultivate with someone, but in the middle of a war, he has no time and trusts no one, things escalate from there
I usually do not enjoy fuck or die tropes, but when I'm desperate I get to places I get and I am glad I ended up here! It was a really engaging read
All Caught Up by brooklinegirl
"Betrothed," Wei Ying says indignantly.
Lan Wangji can't stop his gaze from darting up to him. Wei Ying understands. Wei Ying is looking at him, wide-eyed and upset on his behalf.
"And you don't even like her," Wei Ying says.
"I don't even know her," Lan Wangji says quietly.
"But even if you did—" Wei Ying starts.
"I wouldn't want this," Lan Wangji finishes.
You know when you're traumatized enough you volunteer to marry your crush so he wouldn't have to go through with potential arranged marriage and you think that's like a completely sane thing to do? Yeah. Me too. The good stuff.
it's always open by ScarlettStorm
“Is there anything I can do to help?”
“I dunno,” Wei Ying says, offering up a smile that’s small but genuine. “Can you rewire my brain so I don’t panic when people want to kiss me?”
“I do not believe so,” Lan Zhan says with exaggerated mournfulness. (Most people would not be able to tell he was doing so, but most people are not Wei Ying.) It would normally get him a laugh, or a snort, or his favorite, a snort laugh, but Wei Ying doesn’t respond. He just sits there and stares at Lan Zhan like he’s doing extremely complicated math in his head and choreographing a nine-person dance number at the same time.
“Lan Zhan,” he starts, a light sparking in his eyes and his voice coming out rushed, “Lan Zhan, could you—would you be okay with—”
“Breathe,” Lan Zhan orders gently, squeezing Wei Ying’s hand again.
Wei Ying rolls his eyes but obeys, inhaling deeply and re-centering himself before he looks Lan Zhan full in the face, shoulders square and chin up. “Will you kiss me?” he asks, like that’s a reasonable thing to ask and not the culmination of over a decade of Lan Zhan’s specific, secret, fervent dreams.
Or: A journey of self discovery… and the inevitable emotional fallout.
Man I loved this because demisexual Wei Ying yeehaw!!!! I was so excited to read this! And it was good!!!!
solstice: 那夏天的我们 by auberjing
Lan Zhan, have you, ah… have you ever…”
Lan Wangji blinks up at him, bewildered. “Have I ever…?”
“You know,” Wei Ying says, waggling his eyebrows. He makes a vague gesture around his own crotch. It’s halfhearted, but there’s no mistaking its vulgarity.
Lan Wangji flushes, suddenly and violently. “Of course not!"
See also: Wei Ying takes it upon himself to teach his good friend Lan Wangji how to masturbate.
Them boys are little stupid, but what can you do about it ya' know
30 Days of Secret Marriage at Cloud Recesses by starandrea
Lan Zhan literally ties their wrists together in Lan Yi’s cave and then says they’re not married. Because it’s true, or because he doesn’t want to be? Wei Ying doesn’t want to ask until he knows everything being a secret family member will let him do.
(Eventually he'll realize he got distracted from his mission of mischief by falling in love. Worth it.)
This!! Was!!! So cute!!!!! Ahhhh. A part of bigger series though!
The Way of the Golden Lotus by DizziDreams
Wei Ying would never forget the day he first met Wheatgrass Guy. He had been rotating the stock of bananas, cleaning out the over-ripe ones to move to the bargain bin, when it had happened. “Excuse me. Where can I find the wheatgrass?” “End cap, row four -- ” Wei Ying started to answer. And then he saw him. Standing there in his flowy white tunic and his pale blue linen pants, as if that was a thing that people did. Who did that? Was it legal to do that? Wei Ying thought not.  “Thank you,” Wheatgrass Guy had said, his startlingly light eyes boring into him. “No problem,” Wei Ying had managed. “Let me know if you need help with bananas.” Wei Ying should not be allowed to speak. Who had entrusted him with words? “I will let you know if I need any help,” Wheatgrass Guy had said graciously, and Wei Ying thought that this guy was too good, too amazing, too kind, letting it slide like that -- “with bananas.” Oh. Oh no, that was worse. Wheatgrass Guy was kind of a bitch.
OR:
The Martial Arts AU, wherein JC/WWX co-parent, Jin Ling suffers through being raised by his uncles, and WWX/LWJ fight their way through some mutual attraction toward a happy ending.
Oh man oh dudes I loved this fic!!! Kudos to author for actually writing children as children!!!! Did I already say I loved it?

The Daughter of the Sea - Chapter 6
Tumblr media
(Y/n)'s POV
Once I get over the fact that my brother's Latin teacher was half horse, we have a nice tour.
We pass by the volleyball pit. Several of the campers nudge each other. One points to the Minotaur horn Percy is carrying. Another says, "It's them."
Most of the campers are older than me. Their satyr friends are bigger than Grover, all of them trotting around in orange CAMP HALF-BLOOD t-shirts, with nothing else to cover their bare shaggy hindquarters. I'm not normally shy, but the way they are staring at me and Percy makes me uncomfortable. I feel as though they want us to do a flip or something.
I look back at the farmhouse. It's bigger than I'd realized - four stories tall, sky blue with white trim, like an upscale seaside resort. I'm checking out the brass eagle weather vane on top when something catches my eyes, a shadow in the uppermost window of the attic gable. Something had moved the curtain, just for a second, and I get a distinct impression that I'm being watched.
"What's up there?" I ask Chiron.
He looks to where I'm pointing and his smile fades, "Just the attic."
"Somebody lives there?" Percy asks.
"No," he says with finality. "Not a single living thing."
I get the feeling that he's being truthful, but I am also sure something had moved that curtain.
As we get closer, I realize how huge the forest is. It takes up at least a quarter of the valley, with trees so tall and thick, you could imagine nobody had been in there since the Native Americans.
Chiron says, "The woods are stocked if you care to try your luck, but go armed."
"Stocked with what?" Percy asks. "Armed with what?"
"You'll see. Capture the flag is Friday night. Do you have your own swords and shields?"
"My own - ?" Percy is cut off.
"No," Chiron interupts. "I don't suppose you do. I think a size five will do for you, Percy, and a size three for you, (Y/n). I'll visit the armory later."
Finally, Chiron shows us the cabins. There are twelve of them, nestled in the woods by the lake. They are arranged in a U, with two at the base and five in a row on each side. And they are, without a doubt the most bizarre number above the door.
Except for the fact that each has a large brass number above the door (odds on the left side, evens on the right), they lock absolutely nothing alike. Number Nine has smokestacks, like a tiny factory. Number Four has tomato vines on the walls and a roof made out of real grass. Seven seems to be made of solid gold, which gleams so much in the sunlight it was almost impossible to look at. They all face a commons area about the size of a soccer field, dotted with Greek statues, fountains, flower beds, and a couple of basketball hoops (which were more my speed).
In the center of the field is a huge stone-lined firepit. Even though it is a warm afternoon, the hearth smolders. A girl, maybe nine years old is tending the flames, poking the coals with a stick. I wave at the girl and she looks surprised, as though no one acknowledged her often, and waves back with a smile.
The pair of cabins at the head of the field, numbers one and two, look like his-and-hers mausoleums, big white marble boxes with heavy columns in front. Cabin One is the biggest and bulkiest of the twelve. Its polished bronze doors shimmer like a hologram, so that from different angles lightning bolts seem to streak across them. Cabin Two is more graceful somehow, with slimmer columns garlanded with pomegranates and flowers. The walls are covered with images of peacocks.
"Zeus and Hera?" Percy guesses.
"Correct," Chiron says.
"Their cabins look empty."
"Several of the cabins are. That's true. No one ever stays in one or two."
I stop in front of the first cabin on the left, cabin three.
It isn't high and mighty like Cabin One, but low and solid. The outer walls are of rough gray stone studded with pieces of seashells and coral as if the slabs had been hewn straight from the bottom of the ocean floor. I peek inside the open doorway and Chiron says, "Oh, I wouldn't do that!"
Before he can pull me back, I catch the salty scent of the interior, like the wind on the shore at Montauk. The interior walls glow like abalone. There are six empty bunks with silk sheets turned down, but there is no sign anyone had ever slept there. The place feels so sad and lonely, I am glad when Chiron puts his hand on my shoulder and says, "Come along, (Y/n)."
Most of the other cabins were crowded with campers.
Number five was bright red—a real nasty paint job as if the color had been splashed on with buckets and fists. The roof was lined with barbed wire. A stuffed wild boar's head hung over the doorway, and its eyes seemed to follow me. Inside I could see a bunch of mean-looking kids, both girls and boys, arm wrestling and arguing with each other while rock music blared. The loudest was a girl maybe thirteen or fourteen. She wore a size XXXL CAMP HALF-BLOOD T-shirt under a camouflage jacket. She zeroed in on Percy and gives him an evil sneer.
"Oh, look," Chiron says as we approach Cabin Eleven. "Annabeth is waiting for us."
The blond girl I'd met at the Big House is reading a book in front of the last cabin on the left, number eleven. When we reach her, she looks me over critically, like she was still thinking about how much I drool.
I try to see what she was reading, but I can't make out the title. Then I realize the title isn't even English. The letters look Greek to me. I mean, literally Greek. There are pictures of temples and statues and different kinds of columns, like those in an architecture book.
"Annabeth," Chiron says, "I have Masters' Archery class at noon. Would you take Percy and (Y/n) from here?"
"Yes, sir."
"Cabin Eleven," Chiron tells us, gesturing towards the doorway. "Make yourself at home."
Out of all the cabins, Eleven looks the most like a regular old summer camp cabin, with the emphasis on old. the threshold is worn down, the brown paint peeling. Over the doorway is a caduceus.
Inside, it is packed with people, both boys and girls, way more than the number of bunk beds. Sleeping bags are spread all over the floor. It looks like a gym where the Red Cross had set up an evacuation center.
Chiron doesn't go in. The door is too low for him. But when the campers see him, they all stand and bow respectfully.
"Well, then," Chiron says. "Good luck, Percy, (Y/n). I'll see the two of you at dinner."
He gallops away towards the archery range.
Percy's POV
We stand in the doorway, looking at the kids. They aren't bowing anymore. They are staring at us, sizing us up. I know this routine. I'd gone through it at enough schools.
"Well?" Annabeth prompts. "Go on."
So naturally, I trip coming in the door, and (Y/n) grabs my upper arm, straightening me up. There are some snickers from the campers, but none of them say anything.
Annabeth announces, "Percy and (Y/n) Jackson, meet Cabin Eleven."
"Regular or undetermined?" somebody asks.
I don't know what to say, but Annabeth says, "Undetermined."
Everyone groans.
A guy who is a little older than the rest comes forward. "Now, now, campers. That's what we're here for. Welcome, Percy, (Y/n). You can have those two spots on the floor, right over there."
The guy was about nineteen, and he looks pretty cool. He's tall and muscular, with short-cropped sandy hair and a friendly smile. He wears an orange tank top, cutoffs, sandals, and a leather necklace with five different colored clay beads. The only thing unsettling about his appearance is a thick white scar that runs from just beneath his right eye to his jaw, like an old knife slash.
"This is Luke," Annabeth says, and her voice sounds different somehow. I glance over and swear she's blushing, but after a moment she sees me looking, and her expression hardens again. "He's your counselor for now."
"For now?" (Y/n) asks, looking rather curious.
"You're undetermined," Luke explains. "They don't know what cabin to put you in, so you're here. Cabin eleven takes all newcomers, all visitors. Naturally, we would. Hermes, our patron, is the god of travelers."
I look around at the campers' faces, some sullen and suspicious, some grinning stupidly, some eyeing me as if they are waiting for a chance to pick my pockets.
"How long will I be here?" I ask.
"Good question," Luke replies. "Until you're determined."
"How long will that take?"
The campers all laugh and (Y/n) facepalms.
"Come on," Annabeth tells us. "I'll show you the volleyball court."
"We've already seen it."
"Come on."
Annabeth grabs my wrist and drags me outside. I can hear the kids of Cabin Eleven laughing behind me and (Y/n) waves good-bye shyly.
When we are a few feet away, Annabeth says, "Jackson, you have to do better than that?"
"What?"
She rolls her eyes and mumbles under her breath, "I can't believe I thought you two were the ones."
"What's your problem?" I'm getting angry now, (Y/n) watching us cautiously. "All I know is, we kill some bull guy -"
"Don't talk like that!" Annabeth tells me. "You know how many kids at this camp wish they'd had your chance?"
"To get killed?"
"To fight the Minotaur! What do you think we train for?"
I shake my head. "Look, if the thing we fought is really the Minotaur, the same one in the stories . . ."
"Yes."
"Then there's only one."
"Yes."
"And he died, like, a gajillion years ago, right? Theseus killed him in the labyrinth. So..."
"Monsters don't die, Percy. They can be killed. But they don't die."
"Oh, thanks. That clears it up."
"Percy," (Y/n) says calmly. "I think what Annabeth is saying, is that monsters eventually reform."
Annabeth nods and I think about Mrs. Dodds. "You mean if I killed one, accidentally, with a sword—"
"The Fur...I mean, your math teacher. That's right. She's still out there. You just made her very, very mad."
"How did you know about Mrs. Dodds?"
"You talk in your sleep," Annabeth answers and (Y/n) suppresses a laugh.
"You almost called her something. A Fury? They're Hades' torturers, right?"
Annabeth glances nervously at the ground as if she expects it to open up and swallow her. "You shouldn't call them by name, even here. We call them the Kindly Ones if we have to speak of them at all."
"Look, is there anything we can say without it thundering?" I sound whiny, even to myself, but right then I don't care. "Why do we have to stay in Cabin Eleven, anyway? Why is everybody so crowded together? There are plenty of empty bunks right over there."
I point to the first few cabins, and Annabeth turns pale. "You don't just choose a cabin, Percy. It depends on who your parents are. Or...your parent."
She stares at me, waiting for me to get it.
"Our mother is Sally Jackson," (Y/n) says softly. "She works at the candy store in Grand Central Station. At least, she used to."
"I'm sorry about your mom, (Y/n). But that's not what I mean. I'm talking about your other parent. Your dad."
"He's dead," I say simply. "We never knew him."
Annabeth sighs. Clearly, she'd had this conversation before with other kids. "Your father's not dead."
"How can you say that? You know him?"
"No, of course not."
"Then how can you say -"
"Because I know the two of you. You wouldn't be here if you weren't one of us."
"You don't know anything about us.
"No?" She raises an eyebrow. "I bet you moved around from school to school. I bet you were kicked out of a lot of them."
"How -"
"Diagnosed with dyslexia. Probably ADHD, too."
I try to swallow my embarrassment. "What does that have to do with anything?"
(Y/n)'s POV
"Taken together, it's almost a sure sign. The letters float off the page when you read, right? That's because your mind is hardwired for ancient Greek. And the ADHD—you're impulsive, can't sit still in the classroom. That's your battlefield reflexes. In a real fight, they'd keep you alive. As for the attention problems, that's because you see too much, Percy, not too little. Your senses are better than a regular mortal's. Of course, the teachers want you medicated. Most of them are monsters. They don't want you seeing them for what they are."
"You sound like...you went through the same thing?"
"Most of the kids here did. If you weren't like us, you couldn't have survived the Minotaur, much less the ambrosia and nectar."
"Ambrosia and nectar."
"The food and drink we were giving you to make you better. That stuff would've killed a normal kid. It would've turned your blood to fire and your bones to sand and you'd be dead. Face it. You're both half-bloods."
A half-blood.
I am reeling with so many questions I don't know where to start.
Then a husky voice yells, "Well! Two newbies!"
I look over. The big girl from the ugly red cabin is sauntering towards us. She has three other girls behind her, all big and ugly and mean-looking like her, all wearing camo jackets.
"Clarisse," Annabeth sighs. "Why don't you go polish your spear or something?"
"Sure, Miss Princess," the big girl says. "So I can run you through with it Friday night."
"Erre es korakas!" Annabeth says, which I somehow understand is Greek for 'Go to the crows!' though I have a feeling it was a worse curse than it sounds. "You don't stand a chance."
"We'll pulverize you," Clarisse says, but her eye twitches. Perhaps she isn't so sure she can follow through on ht threat. She turns towards me, then she looks at Percy. "Who are these's runts?"
"Percy and (Y/n) Jackson," Annabeth says, "meet Clarisse, Daughter of Aries."
Percy blinks. "Like . . . the war god?"
Clarisse sneers. "You got a problem with that?"
"No," Percy says, seemingly recovering his 'wits'. "It explains the bad smell."
Long story short, Percy made the toilets explode.
Yeah, I said it. He made the toilets explode . . .

Truth or Dare | Kim Seungmin
Genre: fluff
Word count: 1.9k
A/n: hi I did this instead of everything else I was supposed to do and I think it's really cute and I love Seungmin and I hope you like it
Tumblr media
"Cmon y/n, when will you confess to Seungmin?" Your friend, Kate taunted you again. She has been on your case ever since you filled her in on your little crush. She only knows that you've liked him since freshman year, but really it's been since like 7th grade. "It's senior year, what's the worst that could happen if you confess? You move away in a few months and never have to experience the awkwardness of seeing each other everyday? How awful." You don't laugh at her joke, so Kate takes that as a sign that it's time to change the subject. "Well, yknow how my birthday is in like 2 weeks. My mom is letting me have a party with my friends and she won't even have to be there to supervise. Since I'll be an adult and all!" She emphasizes adult as if being 18 suddenly makes her mature.
"Sounds great, Kate," you rhyme. You're hardly paying attention because something, or rather someone, caught your attention. "I'll see you after class," and then you're off to math while Kate had biology. She definitely noticed how hard you were staring at Seungmin while she was talking with you. Of course, you know nothing of what's to come.
~
"Hey! Felix!"
"What's up, Kate?" Felix was friends with Seungmin and some other boys. He also tended to be seen with Kate. Most people just assumed they were dating, and maybe they were, not even they know for sure.
"I'm having a birthday party next weekend and you and your friends are invited! Especially Seungmin." She adds a wink with the last statement.
"Will Miss y/n be there?"
"Of course. Why do you think I'm specifying for Seungmin?"
"It's so painfully obvious that he likes her so why can't he make a move already?!"
"Y/n is no different," Kate admits. "That's why I have a plan."
~
"H-hey y/n, " Seungmin stutters as he sits in his seat next to you.
"Oh, hi," you manage to reply, blush evident throughout your face.
"Um, did you get number 27 on the homework? I was super confused."
"Yeah, the equation for that one is different than the others because..." you explained the concept to Seungmin while he stared at your face unbeknownst to you. "Does that make sense?"
"Yes. I get it now!" He smiles and you actually die. You caught a glance at his homework to see number 27 done correctly but you were to affected by his smile to put two and two together.
~
All the days seemed to be same, passing by until it was finally Kate's birthday party. Obviously you went super early to help her set up. There was no alcohol allowed since her mom said she would let her throw it all by herself under that one condition, not that Kate would ever underage drink anyway we are good children here.
Kate left to answer the door as you pulled some cookies out of the oven. "Kate! Happy birthday!" You heard Felix's voice ring through the entryway. You weren't surprised she invited him, but then you heard more voices.
"Your house looks really nice."
"Happy birthday, Kate."
"Where should I put this gift?" Your eyes widened. You could recognize that voice anywhere.
"Kate! Can you come here for a moment?" You shouted for her.
"What's up, buttercup? Are the cookies okay?"
"I can't believe you invited Seungmin. Bro, I thought we were cool." You overreacted.
"Chill, y/n, all his friends are here, along with our friends. There's so many people, don't even worry about it." She tries to reassure you.
"Well... do I at least look okay?" You ask shyly.
"Look fine to me." You jump at the boy's voice. "But I suppose I'm not the one you want to look good for."
"Jisung, you scared the crap out of me," Kate smiles as you nearly died of embarrassment. Had he heard your whole conversation?
"No. Only the last part." He answers. It's only then that you realize you asked that out loud. You face palmed with bright red cheeks as more boys filed into the kitchen.
~
"Now that everyone is here, let's get this party started!" Kate announces as she turns on some speakers and blasts some upbeat music. She and Felix dance on the coffee table while everyone else is jumping around on the couches and dancing on the floor. The mess of people was starting to become overwhelming when you felt someone push you from behind. Unluckily, you fell directly into Seungmin's arms.
"Wow. Falling for me this early in the night. I hate to say I'm not surprised, y/n," Seungmin says in a low tone. "I'm just kidding," he quickly adds when he sees your eyes bulging out of your head.
"Oh, yeah. Right! Haha! So sorry I fell into you. There are so many people."
"Since I have you here, wanna dance?" He smiles again. How could anyone say no to his perfect smile?
"I'm sorry what was that?" He looks confused, like a puppy.
"I said yes!" You lie trying to cover up your thoughts that you must've spoken out loud, again. You and Seungmin begin to jump around, laughing. Kate gives you a knowing look which you return with a glare. Little did you know Felix and Seungmin were in the same boat.
~
"What else do you have planned?" Felix asks sounding very rehearsed.
"Hmm. Why don't we play truth or dare?!" Kate suggests. That was not on the schedule you had for the night's events. You knew something bad was going to happen when Kate smiled your way.
Everyone sat criss cross applesauce in a circle and Jisung volunteered to start. "Minho, truth or dare?"
"Dare." The boy responds with a brave look in his eye.
"I dare you to," he pauses, thinking of something good, "do a sexy dance for everyone."
"Pff. Okay." Minho continues to grind on the ground, not minding the looks he's getting at all. In fact, Jisung had to stop him, because it was getting too out of hand too quickly.
"I didn't dare you to strip, MinHOE!"
"Whatever, you know you liked it," he teased back. "Hmm let's see. Kate, truth or dare?"
"Uh, I'll pick truth."
"Do you like Felix?"
She furrows her eyebrows together, looking confused. "Felix and I are dating. So, to clarify, yes I like him very much." Everyone is so lost as to how they hadn't known that the two were official. I mean, y'all obviously could see that they liked each other duh. "Felix, truth or dare?"
"Dare." He adds a wink to Kate.
"I dare you to kiss me." The crowd shouts a bunch of ews and grosses as Felix briefly pecks Kate's lips.
He turns to Seungmin with a devilish look. "Seungmin, truth or dare?"
He must not have been paying attention yeah cuz he was admiring you face again whore because he is completely oblivious to the grin on Felix's face right now. "Why not? Dare."
"I dare you to kiss y/n" Felix sticks his tongue out at Seungmin as everyone turns to look at you. You tried so hard to keep your face from looking like a tomato but you knew it was no use. Seungmin gulped as he stared at you.
"I- I can't." His words made you frown without thinking. "Y/n, should have a say in this too. I can't just kiss her without her consent," he elaborates.
"Fine then," Felix speaks again. "I dare you to go up to Kate's room alone with y/n. Anything you two might do in there is all up to both of your consents." Felix smirks at you and then back to Seungmin. You both kept eye contact as you stood to head to your friend's bedroom. There were lots of hoots and hollers following you two as you made your way up the stairs with faces painted with crimson shades.
~
You both sat on Kate's bed. You face was on fire even more now because he was so close. When I mean close,, like your legs were nearly /touching/. And you can't handle being so /close/ to your big phat crush. However, the feeling seemed somewhat mutual for Seungmin.
"Do you like me?" You squeaked out. It was completely random and Seungmin even flinched slightly at the sound of your voice.
"..." the boy stayed silent and you refused to meet his gaze.
"ohmygosh that was so rude of me to just ask. I'm sorry. Just forget I said anything." You began to get up to walk away when he grabbed your wrist.
"Do you- like me?"
"..." it was your turn to mimick the silence you'd not heard moments earlier.
"Did we both not say anything for the same reason?" You opened your mouth to respond when the door opened, revealing Jeongin.
"I was told to come make sure you two weren't doing anything," he narrows his eyes on Seungmin, "gross." You both sat there like deer in head lights. Jeongin looked at your hand and then back at Seungmin. You hadn't noticed that Seungmin's and your pinkies had been laced until Jeongin's judgy stare pointed it out. "Also, you are both welcome to rejoin the party." The younger boy smiled and walked back down the stairs without a care in the world.
~
"Wow look who's back," Jisung announced. "You two didn't have too much fun did you?"
"Don't be icky!" Jeongin defended you. "They weren't even talking to one another when I walked in. But- they were basically holding hands!"
"Not true! He's lying!" Seungmin shouts back. You laugh, looking down to see that you, in fact still had your pinkies intertwined. You broke away and returned to your seat to continue the game.
"Anyway, it's my turn," Hyunjin claims. "Seungmin, truth or dare?"
"Me already again?" He looks a bit freaked out before taking a breath and choosing, "truth."
"Wrong choice, buddy. Do you like y/n?"
He makes deliberate eye contact with you as he answers the question. "Yes. Y/n, pick truth."
"Truth." Everything was happening so quick, you didn't have time to react to what Seungmin was even saying before you responded.
"Do I have your consent this time?" It took a moment for you to figure out what he meant. When you put together that he was asking if he could kiss you, you shook your head quickly. He wasted no time before softly pressing his lips to yours. They were sweet like honey and warm and soft and you thought you could get lost in the moment forever. That is, until he pulled away. It was much to soon for your liking, until you remembered where you were. You both looked around to see everyone's jaws dropped in shock. You timidly smiled and your friends began to cheer. They were soon followed by Seungmin's friends screaming, Jeongin in particular.
Needless to say, you remember very little of what happened after that moment at the party. All you do know is that your friends set you up and Seungmin's friends set him up and now you two are in love. Senior year sure was going to be interesting.

lara croft x mason weaver 90's high school AU
(based on this awesome edit by galaxyalycia on instagram)

“Focus, Croft, this is not how you win a game” coach yelled at his best player who was unusually bad today. She couldn't focus on anything except for that beautiful girl cheering for her from the crowd.
“Time out” judge shouted and the teams took time out, running to their benches.
“What is wrong with you kid? Stop staring at the crowd for God's sake and focus on the game. You are our best player. If you don’t play well, we will lose.” coach told Lara while she was drinking water. “Sorry coach. I'll do better now”
Time out was over and both teams ran to the field again. Lara was more focused now, but she still wondered who is that girl.
“Did you notice that number 13 is constantly looking at you?” James asked his best friend who did not understand anything about the game she was watching
“Shut up why are you telling me that” Mason rolled her eyes.
“I heard she's gay” he whispered
“I don’t care, I’m not gay.” she said, thinking he believed her
“Whatever you say”
-
“Okay we won, but you played horrible. The worst game yet. If you keep playing like this you'll be worse than elementary school boys team. Is that what you want?”
“What we want is for you to stop storming into our locker room like some maniac. We could've been naked” Lara yelled after taking a bite of her apple
“I always knock first” he yelled back but Lara just rolled her eyes. “As I previously mentioned once, no boyfriends allowed while we are preparing for regionals, is that clear?”
“What about girlfriends?” Lara asked with a cheeky smile, earning disgusted looks from her teammates
“If I ever see any of you with a girlfriend I will make sure you never step your foot to this school ever again”
-
“Is everything alright?” James asked after he opened his window and saw Mason preparing to throw another rock at it. It was 2 am and Mason had tears in her eyes, so he got really worried about her.
“Come on up” he said and she climbed up to his window.
“Is everything okay?” he asked. She didn't say anything. She just broke down and started crying into his chest. He hugged her and let her cry it out.
“You were right. I am gay.” she whispered and he just quietly said “I know” while rubbing her hair. “How?” she said and moved away from him.
“You literally watch the X files because of how hot Gillian Anderson is” he said and they both laughed.
They talked whole night and in the morning Mason finally felt better. “We should go to school” James said and two teenagers left the house. Mason quickly ran over to her house, which was right next to James’ and took her stuff
-
“Which one of you is Mason Weaver” Lara said, standing on the table in cafeteria. Even though two girls quietly admired each other from afar, Lara still did not know that her name is Mason.
“Miss Croft get off that table. I don't know what rules are in England, but here you can't do that” her chemistry teacher started yelling at her
“Yeah, yeah, whatever.” she rolled her eyes and kept looking through the cafeteria. Mason felt like someone stabbed her. She didn't know why was brunette looking for her but she was scared.
“Over here” James shouted, pointing at his best friend, before she elbowed him. Lara jumped off the table and walked over to them.
“Hi. I'm Lara, nice to meet you” sudden change in her tone shocked both Mason and James. They both are used to her being loud all the time.
“Here’s the thing. I failed another maths test, and that means I have to leave the basketball team. Teacher gave me another opportunity to have oral exam tomorrow and if I pass it I can play the game after that. Anyways, she told me you are the best in this school, regarding maths, so I was wondering if you want to come over to my place after school. I really need your help” she explained everything, hoping that Mason will say yes
“Sure, why not” she said while James was smiling at them and giving her best friend encouraging thumbs up.
-
“I’m sorry for the mess, we are still in process of moving everything from London. This place is way smaller than our old was so it's hard to have everything in the house” Lara said while moving boxes to make way to the stairs.
Mason was tutoring Lara whole day and brunette finally understood some math problems. “I think I can pass the exam now” she said relieved.
Two girls looked deeply into each others eyes. Lara started leaning closer and closer to Mason. Few moments later, their lips touched. Even though she enjoyed it, Mason pulled away.
“I’m so sorry I have to go” Mason said and stormed out of the house, leaving her bag and jacket behind.
-
“You did what?” James asked after Mason told him everything that happened that day “I panicked” she said and buried her head into pillow.
James couldn't help it but laugh at his best friend. “You are such a gay disaster” he said and made her chuckle. “I'm gonna die this is so embarrassing” she said.
“You said she has another game tomorrow right?”
“If she passes the exam, yeah” she said and looked up to him “Oh what are you planning?”
“We are gonna sit in first row tomorrow and when the judge calls time out you're gonna call her and apologize to her”
“Not happening, I'm just gonna avoid her for the rest of highschool”
“No you're not. Because you like her. And she likes you too. This can be your opportunity to have a first girlfriend. All first kisses are awkward, just forget about it and take your chance. Do you really want to be single for the next two years?”
“Okay you have a point. Fine we'll do that. But if I embarrass myself again I'm switching schools I swear to God”
-
“There she is” James pointed at Lara who was warming up on the field with her teammates. Mason was relieved to see her there. She was happy that Lara passed the exam.
Lara looked around, trying to find Mason somewhere. Few seconds later she saw a beautiful blonde girl waving at her with a biggest smile on her face. She realized she has some more time until the game starts so she run up to her.
“I see you passed your exam” Mason said and Lara chuckled, looking down. She couldn't even look at her face because she was so embarrassed of what she did last night. She thought that Mason isn't gay and that she just embarrassed herself by kissing her.
“I did. Thanks to you” she said and Mason took her hand. “I want to apologize for what I did last night” Lara started but Mason didn't let her finish. “No I'm sorry. I acted like an idiot. I don't know why I pulled away. I actually really like you” she said and they both blushed.
And then they did something that actually shocked both of them. They kissed. In front of everyone. Whole gym stared at them. Some were cheering, some were looking at them completely disgusted. And their math teacher was proud of what she did.
Lara and Mason didn't care about the world around them. They were happy they had each other.
Who would have thought? They are two different worlds. But sometimes, worlds collide.

Elemental Wars Book Of Wishes Chapter VI: The Return of Junis|New Student
Wednesday morning at school in the auditorium, all students, freshman, sophomores, juniors, and seniors reported to the auditorium for the five huge announcements. "Good morning everyone, may I have your attention please?" "So when will you let me get your phone number?" "You, me, at my place." "Mr. Turner!" "Huh?" "Go back to your seat or I will give you Saturday detention." "Okay! Okay!"
"I'm here to explain to everyone that is present in this assembly about the huge announcements." "First announcement is the new rule, you are allowed to wear casual clothes every Friday, it has to be appropriate, nothing inappropriate." "Second announcement is there will be a new student coming to Shanghai Academy, behave yourselves and show her a lot of respect."
"Third announcement will be a Boys vs Girls Relay Race this Friday, just sign up if you interested to participate in the special event." "Fourth announcement has to do with everyone here, Mr. Galanos, Mr. Turner, Ms. Sanchez, and the new student will be on the new school bus with the juniors and seniors." "Mr. Yakamura, Ms. Ishikawa, and Ms. Akamine will be on the same bus with Freshmen and Sophomores."
The boys were arguing and really fed up about the rules of being moved to another bus except for Junis and Anstice. "Silence!" The boys kept their mouths shut and behaved themselves. "Moving on to the Fifth announcement, everyone make some noise for the return of the freshmen, Junis Yei-Sung Yakamura!" Junis arrived on the stage really confident as everyone cheered for him going wild.
"Good morning Shanghai Academy, what is going on today?" "I'm back!" "Better than the time I came here which was last week." "I won't let anyone down here, I will give in my all to lead us to victory!" The crowd cheered so loud really hyped up as hell giving him the energy and the courage to do the impossible.
Few moments later at lunch, Junis was eating Spicy Curry, Pork Ramen, and drinking his Blue Iced Tea for lunch. he noticed Sukina was next to him in the same table. She sighed really sad and he looked at her. "What's wrong Akamine San?"
"It's this jerk, he has been harassing me for two days and I told her to stop but he threatened to hit me." "What!?" "Where is that peeping tom!?" "He's in the weight room working out for his first football game." "Why?" "Because you need to tell the principal about this." "But, but, I'm too scared." "You shouldn't be afraid to tell her."
The peeping tom showed up in the cafeteria. His name is Troy Stevenson he's 6'8, 245 Ibs. Running back for the Shanghai Academy Football Team. He's a Senior, he loves to sexually harass freshmen girls like Sukina. He sat next to Sukina and began to harass her and not caring that Junis is next to her.
"G-G-Get off of me!" "Nope, you are just the perfect one to become my girlfriend, what do you say?" "I don't want to be with a peeping Tom like you!" Sukina slapped him really hard and hides behind Junis really scared.
"Come on babe, don't be scared of me." Troy tried to harass her again but more than that, to rape her but Junis prevented him from doing that. "Who the fuck are you loser?" "Her friend, leave her alone!" Junis said as he glared at him. Troy got pissed, moved him out of the way and Sukina ran to Junis seeing him on the floor.
"Yakamura Sama, speak to me!" Junis woke up and looked at Sukina and smiled. "Ugh...I'm fine now." Principal Akamine showed up in the Cafeteria and was really furious at Troy. "I caught you on camera, you sexually harassed my daughter and attacked one of my star pupils." I warned you yesterday that if you disobey me, I will suspend you!" "You are expelled, meaning you won't be in this school anymore!"
"You are so dead Yakamura, I will come after you!" "Take him away." The security threw him out of school as Principal Akamine went back to her office.
Later after school, Junis Participated at the Shanghai Academy's Basketball tryouts, everyone in the gym say he put on a show but he show no emotion, he was more serious than the varsity players that played last year. He was on another level, before the tryouts, everyone thought he's a horrible talent, a try hard, a joke to the team, he proved everyone wrong.
He let the game do the talking, he was known as the silent rookie. he was a cold blood killer in the gym, he put the coach, fans, even the varsity team on notice. Coach decided to make his decision on Friday. Junis understood Coach's message and part ways as he went in the locker room getting dressed after working so hard.
Few hours later after he got dressed, he started walking to home but decided to walk to Sukina's house to check on her. He heard her screaming coming from the basement and he hurried and rushed in her house, in the basement and sees Sukina in the corner avoiding Troy in fear.
"LEAVE AKAMINE SAN ALONE!" Junis said yelling at Troy really angry. Troy turned around and transformed into a big mutant beast. "I was close to making the bitch mine until you got in my way you little runt!" "I'm tired of running from you Troy, I will take you down, and save Akamine San!" Troy got pissed and comes at Junis and attacked him crushing his bones, Junis coughs a lot of blood and trying to get up, Troy grinned at him and laughed maniacally for a moment.
"Well then, it's time to kill you, you are a worthless, useless, unworthy loser, even he would use his sloppy seconds on that green hair beauty. Junis having memories of the times he spent with Kimichi, the moments that makes him happy. Troy started choking him in the worst way possible you can think of, Junis balds his right fist and punched him really hard in the gut and Troy crashed against the wall.
"How did you manage to surpass my power!?" "You are a weakling, you are nothing but a human!" "You're wrong, I'm Junis Yei-Sung Yakamura, I'm a crimson dragon!" Junis said as he opened his right yellow eye. Junis brutally attacked Troy, crushing his body, and his skull using amber crusher.
Troy crashed through the wall and into the forest dead. Junis breathes heavily and turned back to normal. He takes Sukina back to her room and healed her using phoenix tears. He did everything he can to heal her wounds, Sukina went to sleep peacefully. He went to the basement and restored the walls downstairs using restore spell.
Thursday morning at 1st period class, Mr. Dominguez started passing out everyone's previous classwork from yesterday. "Sukina Akamine." "Present." "You got a A+, congratulations." "Thank you Mr. Dominguez." "Ming Zhun." "Here." "You got a A-, congratulations." "Thank you sir." "The new student named Allison Dominique." "Present." "A+ for you." "Thank you." "Junis Yakamura." "Present." "Outstanding job, I'm proud of you just like Allison,Sukina, and Ming, congratulations, you passed." "Thank you so much sir."
"Lastly we got you, Terrance McPeterson, you failed, you skipped my class for 3 weeks." "You get a F." Terrance loses his cool and yelled at the teacher with unyielding rage. "Oh come on Mr. Dominguez, how did I get a fucking F!?." Mr. Dominguez explained to him how he failed his class.
"Mr. McPeterson, just look at your grades, you have the worst grades than Samuel." "What!?" "Be quiet and listen." "On your first math sheet, you got a 0%, a F in multiplication. " "On your second math sheet, you got a 25%, a F in Division." "On your third math sheet, you got a 5%, a F in addition." "On your fourth math sheet, you got a 40%, a F in Subtraction." On your Last Sheet, you got a 50%." "That's a good grade." "No it's not you idiot!" "A 50% is a F!
"This is a load of bullshit, you stupid sack of shit!" "Get out of my class, you are banned from coming here!" Terrence threw his table at the chalkboard and stormed out the class, Mr. Dominguez called Principal Akamine and Terrance McPeterson got suspended for a year for his rude behavior."
Few moments later after school in the gym, Junis performed on the last day of basketball tryouts, he moved faster than yesterday, worked even harder, made every shot, rebounded better, played really aggressive, moved the ball around unselfishly, protecting the paint, and go on a fast break running too hard ahead of everyone.
At the end of the basketball tryouts, the coach of the basketball team walks up to Junis and speaks to him. "Hey kid, you got spunk, physicality, being unselfish, die hard attitude, winning mentality, and the skills that we need in a point guard, you are just the point guard we need." "My name is Dennis Harris, but call me Coach Harris." Coach Harris said as he shakes his hand. "What's your name kid?" "Junis Yei-Sung Yakamura, you can call me Junis." "Cool name for a talented point guard like yourself, congratulations, you are part of the basketball team, welcome to the Shanghai Dragons."
Few hours later Sukina and Junis came home late with Principal Akamine, Principal Akamine went to bed in her room on the 3rd floor. Sukina wanted to talk to Junis and thank him for saving her life. "Yakamura Sama, I want to thank you for saving my life, if you haven't been there for me, I would have been dead."
"No problem Akamine San, I will always look out for my friends especially you." Sukina smiled and went to her room and fell asleep. Junis went in the basement and felt cold, he warmed himself up by making the basement cold. He lays on the comfortable bed and fell asleep.
