Woensdag opende specialistische peutergroep De Putters aan de Hantumerweg in Dokkum haar deuren. De peutergroep is er voor kinderen die (tijdelijk) extra ondersteuning nodig hebben op het gebied van ontwikkeling en/of gedrag. Twee gespecialiseerde medewerkers staan op de groep van maximaal acht kinderen. Géanna Tanja is één van de medewerkers op de groep: “Op de groep wordt de ontwikkeling van het kind gestimuleerd binnen een veilige, vertrouwde setting. Er is sprake van intensieve samenwerking met ouders en specialisten om het kind goed door te laten stromen naar passend onderwijs”. De gespecialiseerde peutergroep is een initiatief van de gemeente, SBO de Twine en Wille Het peuterlokaal is ondergebracht in de Twine, een school voor speciaal basisonderwijs. De peutergroep is door het bestuur van de school (stichting Arlanta), Wille en gemeente Noardeast-Fryslân op gezet. Wethouder Jouke Douwe de Vries mocht woensdag het peuterlokaal openen. Samenwerken aan maximale ontwikkelkansen voor kinderen in Noardeast-Fryslân Om kinderen die extra zorg en aandacht nodig hebben beter te helpen, slaan het onderwijs, jeugdzorg en de gemeente Noardeast-Fryslân de handen ineen. In 2021 is de regionale aanpak Zorg & Onderwijs bepaald De regionale aanpak is gericht op zo min mogelijk bureaucratie en betere ondersteuning in de klas, op school, bij de opvang of in het gezin. “It bart no noch faak dat bern út harren eigen fertroude omjouwing helle wurde om op in oar plak help en stipe te krijen. De schoolbesturen en de gemeente Noardeast-Fryslân willen een scholenpark aan de Woudweg/Parklaan in Dokkum realiseren. Daarvoor ondertekenen op maandag 17 juli het Dockinga College (Fierder Onderwijs), Piter Jelles Dalton Dokkum (Stichting Openbaar Voortgezet Onderwijs Fryslân-Noord), de Bonifatiusschool (BMS-onderwijs), de Burgerschool (Roobol basisonderwijs) en wethouder Jouke Douwe de Vries van de gemeente Noardeast-Fryslân een intentieverklaring. Het Piter Jelles Dalton en de twee basisscholen kampen al langere tijd met ruimtegebrek. De gebouwen van het Dockinga College aan de Woudweg en Parklaan zijn sterk verouderd. De schoolbesturen en gemeente verkennen al langer de mogelijkheden om het basisonderwijs en voortgezet onderwijs op dit terrein te vestigen. Met het tekenen van de intentieverklaring is de volgende stap in de samenwerking gezet. scholenpark Dokkum: ‘Samen wonen, samen leren’ Het scholenpark moet zorgen voor verbinding, als scholen onderling en met de omgeving. “Op dit plak hawwe wy de kâns om ûnderwiis, sport, kultuer, soarch en natuer mei elkoar te ferbinen. Wy wolle der mei-inoar foar soargje dat de berne-opfang, basisskoalle en fuortset ûnderwiis noch mear op inoar oanslute, safolle mooglik gearwurke wurdt tusken de skoallen, en as it nedich is fan inoars romte gebrûk meitsje kinne.” vertelt wethouder Jouke Douwe de Vries. “Wy hawwe ôfpraat dat wy yn ‘e plannen ekstra rekken hâlde mei de ferkearsfeiligens. De skoallebern moatte feilich fan en nei skoalle kinne. Dat betsjut dat wy ek nei de ferkearssituaasje om it skoallepark hinne sjogge.” Vervolg De komende maanden vinden vervolgbijeenkomsten plaats, om de plannen verder uit te werken.
