god sometime the events i work are like an hour away so i have a lot of time to let my brain wander and i dont know why but now im obsessed w the idea of adahlen getting pregnant like right before solas bails

so she realizes shes missed it for like 2 months or something and shes like AH ok i gotta tell solas and right as shes about to leliana is like “we need you in the war room” and the final battle commences. she doesnt wanna tell him before the battle because she feels like he wont have enough time to absorb it and also doesnt want him to worry abt her too much, shes like almost sure she will die so she doesnt want to possibly get hopes up or whatever

after the battle he says that cryptic stuff and shes like what? but so much is going on she cant think about it yet! and then poof hes gone and she just

thinkin about how my lavellan learned fade magic mostly from solas and they spent so much time together in the fade she became really good at dreaming. when he leaves the first time every night she wanders and searches for him and i think he literally knows this and hides just out of reach reach of her. eventually two years pass and the night before the exalted council shes basically given up, she unconsciously searches in her dreams before remembering she has to stop, it was almost consuming her and the exalted council was important, she needed to rest for once. so shes like pissed at herself in the fade trying to control her emotions, breaking into tears, trying to dream without searching. THEN THEN THENNN she hears his voice. she wakes up.

she’s obviously freaking out coz she cant for the life of her remember what he said, she needed to know, even if it was a trick of the fade she wanted to hear him. the day goes on and she’s overwhelmed with all the politics and seeing her friends again, oh great everyones asking about solas, AND WHAT THE HELL DID HE SAY ???

suddenly it hits her like a brick and she hears it as if he were standing right next to her

“Ar lasa mala revas”

“you are free”, what he told her when she let him remove her vallaslin. why would she be reminded of that now. and if it was him why would he remind her of that after two years.

but she sort of laughs to herself because, she doesnt think she’ll ever be free, at least not from him.

1. Who would end a heated argument by defending their actions with ‘because I love you!’ ?

I think both of them have the potential to do that. Its more likely Adahlen would, as she gets emotional as hell and blurts stuff out. It would have to be very heated for Solas to do it, but i think its very possible, and if he does i think that it would be a while after he confesses on the balcony and hadnt really said it much since then.

4. Which one is more protective? Who needs to be ‘protected’?

Solas is of the opinion that Adahlen can be reckless and needs to take better care of herself so hes always in protective mode when it comes to her. He doesnt underestimate her strength she knows she’s powerful and capable, but he hates how self sacrificial she is. FUNNY CONSIDERING HE IS THE WAY HE IS. she in turn throws herself in front of him in fights all the time.

12. Do they have many heated arguments? How do they smooth things over?

ah haha yeah they tend to squabble, not all the time but enough. mostly the arguments are adahlen feeling insecure and confused about the situation and solas trying to reassure his affection for her without saying too much. But they never fail to apologize to one another for getting angry. Usually they take an hour away from each other to self loathe and feel guilty but one of them inevitably goes to the others room. if solas goes to her he brings her berries and elf root to calm her, if she goes to him she brings him her special tea. they hold eachother close and treasure their time together, occasionally drifting into the fade together.
