          Cloud lifts his head when Sora speaks, his blue-green eyes widen at the young keyblade wielder's words. He wasn’t sure where it was coming from, trying to remember if he’d seen or heard something that would make Sora say such a thing. He doesn’t focus long on the inner question when nothing comes to mind right away, figuring if Sora wanted to talk more deeply about whatever it is, he would.

          Eyes flicking upwards & to the side, not to ignore Sora, but to reflect in a thoughtful manner about the other’s statement. He could take the easy way out, just to agree & go about his day, he wasn’t big on long extensive conversations but he does. He actually ponders the other’s statement for what seems like minutes ticking slowly by.

          “Sometimes they do.” 

          Cloud’s words come out honestly, that honesty reflecting in his blue-green eyes as he looks at the other boy. Shifting against the wall at his back to turn slightly towards Sora. “Sometimes they don’t mean to, because they’ve forgotten something important. Sometimes they’re being foolish about it. Other times it can be to hurt their friend or even protect them.” He’d like to think his closer friends don’t lie to him, he likes to think he can trust them, but everyone gets stupid from time to time.

This next letter is for Master Xehanort.

You told me off once, within the first week of my existence, to never call you father, that you weren't my father. But isn't a father the reason someone exists? You were the reason I existed, after all. And you raised me. Doesn't that make you my father?

I remember the first day you hurt me, so so clearly. That was also in the first week or so. You made me fight stronger and stronger heartless too quickly, like you did Ven. I created unversed with my fear. You killed them. It hurt so, so much. It would have hurt less by the tenth one if you had just lopped my arm off instead.

Then you kept doing it. You hurt me over and over because you wanted to study the unversed, study how you could use them to your advantage. I was never a real person to you. Just a tool. I was abused my entire existence, until I retreated into Sora's heart, and then until you finally kicked the bucket.

When I started my real training, when I was finally accepted, I despised my keyblade. Every time I saw the eye I thought of yours, of you. But I guess that wasn't even originally yours either. Eventually I was able to awaken it in a way that it no longer reminded me of you.

Funny enough though, now I almost wish I could speak with you again. Ask you why. Ask you if you ever felt remorse at the end of it all. Do you feel remorse now, father? If so, would that even give me the closure I crave? All I ever wanted was your approval and care.

"NEVER EVER wear your binder for more than 8 hours" shut up. didn't ask. the binder comes with instructions. this information is available on the internet. you are far from the first to grace me with this wisdom. also it matters more how easily you can breathe than how long it's been, and that'll be different for everyone. you do not explode at 8 hours and 1 minute.

"make sure no one touches your gel application sites before it's absorbed" shut up. didn't ask. you are not my doctor. me telling you i'm starting T, via gel, is not an invitation for you to try to explain to me how to use it. why are you assuming a doctor hasn't told me this already, or that the gel arrives instructionless, or that i haven't done my homework before making the pretty fucking big decision of going on T?

stop treating us like babies. if we wanted advice, we'd ask.

like.... you ever read a fic and you just think. no. this character would never own clothing that stylish or trendy or nice. they should be wearing the same t-shirt and sweatpants for three days in a row. or like. they are too slutty for a hoodie their tits must be out always. ya know. or. no they wouldn't be caught dead in crocs. or. they definitely wear ratty old underwear. or. they have a cat but they care about cleanliness so why have you given them a mostly black wardrobe. or. there's no way in hell they're showing up at the christmas party *without* an ugly sweater on. or. they were invited to a formal function but they absolutely do not understand the dress code and they are going to obliviously show up in something casual unless you throw in a cute scene where their friend helps them dress up nice. or. they will overdress for everything there is no stopping them they will show up at game night wearing a tie. fuckin !!!

okay at this point i'm talking about general fiction also like. clothing is often a major aspect of someone's presentation so the way characters dress is !! a thing !

For most of my sources, I prefer when people already know the media because I don't have to explain things. As long as they're, ya know, normal about me identifying as a character they already have opinions about.

What's the biggest difference between you and your canon self?

Hmm I'm definitely more of a nerd than the character Sora is. He's also a lot more reckless than I am lol
