The Devil(s) of Metal Fight Beyblde.

Dr. Ziggurat, the main antagonist of Beyblade Metal Masters, shares many parallels and similarities with the Christian Devil.

He is a ruthless and manipulative executive of an enterprise called Hades Inc., who enjoys making "deals" with other people. Note that Hades and Hell were interchangeably used in Greek mythology to describe the afterlife. The deals he makes are almost like demonic contracts: Zeo had to become a lab rat to save Toby, losing his sanity in the process. Ziggurat takes advantage of desperate people like Zeo and even Julian.

Ziggurat transformed Toby into Faust, whose name comes from the main character of a German legend. Faust, inspired by Johann Georg Faust, made a contract with the devil: Mephistopheles would serve him, and after a certain number of years, the devil would take his soul. Faust sacrificed his soul either to gain knowledge or for material and personal gain, depending on the version. Toby accepted the arrangement against his will, and even if he was cured, he lost himself in the process. He can play Beyblade again, but as Faust, he is only a soulless tool.

The doctor himself seems to have "sold his soul," since he doesn't care about ethics or the fact that he is using children for his experiments. Hikaru explicitly said that some of the bladers incompatible with the arrangement system were so impacted by it that they had to end their careers.

Physically, Ziggurat appears taller than most of the cast, though this is because they are all children. He has spikes of hair at the back of his head, like Damian, that emulate horns. He also wears a dark gray suit, which contrasts sharply with all the colorful characters (even his collaborators, Daidoji and Pluto, seem more colorful than him). He is as gray and dark as the hellish world Damian creates with his Kerbecs.

His name comes from ancient structures called ziggurats, built by the Mesopotamians for cult practices. Daidoji's name means (literally) "great road/way to the temple". They were both part of the Hades cult, lead by Pluto who lived in a temple. However, Ziggurat can also be a reference to the German word "Ziege," which means goat. Ziggurat's design also emulates the animal, with his goatee and spiky hair. His Beyblade is Spiral Capricorn, and in the anime, its Bey beast is often depicted as a simple goat.

This animal is often tied to the Devil and is one of the forms it takes. The painter Goya depicted a gathering of witches with "Witches' Sabbath" (Goya, 1798), where the Devil takes the form of a goat and is offered children to eat. While the doctor doesn't (seem to) eat children, he effectively despises them and shows a lot of disdain towards them. He also steals their innocence in a way. Zeo and Toby do not take back their Aries Bey; they now use Beys with the Spiral fusion wheel, reminiscent of Spiral Capricorn. Aries is a sheep and is typically associated with innocence. They cannot go back to who they were; they are permanently scarred by what they have been through during their time in Haves Inc.

In the scene where Zeo is stopping Ziggurat, he is at the bottom of the stairs, symbolizing a shift in power dynamics between them. This positioning could also symbolize Zeo casting Ziggurat back to Hell, as Hell is below the Earth in popular culture.

"JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" has previously utilized its antagonists, DIO (assimilated to God) and Diavolo (a mafia boss, assimilated to the devil), in a similar manner. DIO is upstairs (heaven), while Diavolo is at the bottom of the stairs (hell). I would add that in the Metal Saga, it is common for villains to fall: Nemesis and Daidoji fell into a pit, and Hades City fell into the abyss of the sea.

These falls can be interpreted as both a physical defeat and a symbolic triumph over an evil that is cast back into hell.

Ziggurat is a more traditional version of the devil who makes deals with people and manipulates them, while Nemesis embodies the devil of the apocalypse, wishing for total chaos.

The reasons why the main character of Robotrek could be the reincarnation of Dr. Leo from Soul Blazer.⚪

⚠️This writing contains spoilers of *Soul Blazer and *Robotrek.

「いつか、私のような発明家が必要になった時、再びこの世に生まれてくることだろう」

"Someday, when the world needs an inventor like me, I will be born again."

Dr. Leo in the Japanese version.

The theory is based that although the genius inventor, Dr. Leo thought of returning to this world, it is likely that The Master (God in the Japanese version), would allow him to reincarnate in another world and without remembering his past, since being on Earth, it is possible that the same thing would happen to him again. Then, to help him, the Master would give him the joy of being reborn on a planet called Quintenix (*Gokuraku), as a new opportunity to live again as a human and with the dream of becoming a good inventor, yes we are referring to the protagonist of Robotrek.

Let's remember a fragment of what he said before leaving in the Japanese version:

「私は生まれてくる時代を間違えたのだと思う。 　発明家は様々な機械を作り出し、人々を幸せにする。 　だが、時代に合わない天才の出現は逆に文明を衰退させてしまうのだ。 　人は何もそんなに焦って幸せになることはない」。

"I think I was born in the wrong era. Inventors create various machines and make people happy. However, the emergence of geniuses who do not adapt to the era actually causes the decline of civilization. People do not become happy being in such a hurry. I hope everyone can find happiness little by little."

About Robotrek, one of the important premises of the game is that the player takes the role of an apprentice inventor and helps others with inventions.

Now, the reasons listed:

■That child's dream is to be a good inventor like his father.

■He is an inventor's apprentice, so he starts from scratch.

■He has an inventor father, as Lisa, Dr. Leo's daughter.

■Absence of his mother, like Lisa, however, changes because his father built an android named Nagisa who, apart from being his son's assistant, secretly takes on the role of mother.

■He lived at his father's house who is an inventor. At the beginning of the game he moves to another house that will be his new home, because he wants to be independent and study about inventions, which his father agrees would try not to involve him with the "evil" organization called Hackers.

■The same thing almost happened to him as Lisa regarding the Hackers who wanted her father to work for said "evil" organization.

■He likes animals and with an invention of his father’s colleague, who learned to create, he talks with them. In general, he appreciate nature, in fact he donated a seed for a little girl to make bloom in Rococo Town.

■He met two dogs named Turbo.

■He was in contact with the replicas of the Soul Blade. Mentioned by Robot K as the Legendary Blade.

■Explodes in three scenes of the game, but without any damage, including in the opening. In the game he is saved from exploding with the help of the Tetron and later by Kotetsu; although in the present, his father found him in the rubble of the destroyed Hackers air base.

■Some Hacker combatant understood his situation.

■When you talk to the Mayor again, after Rose's betrayal, he says in the Japanese version: "Women totally confuse men. It is a terrifying creature. You should remember that well too."

It might sound sexist, but no, he is referring to his secretary Rose, potentially making the player remember the evil Queen Magridd.

Timeline for the MFB manga

Ryuusei "dies".

Ginga travels alone for 6 months before meeting Kenta, Benkei and Kyouya (which seems roughly the same in the anime, since the constellations appearing in the sky).

The Battle Bladers happens 3 months later (if I remember well, it's the same amout of time the bladers have to collect the Bey-Points in the anime). The tournament lasts more than a week.

There isn't any indications in Beyblade Metal Masters, but we can guess the World Championship aren't long after, since Masamune got in the first plane when he learned about the Battle Bladers 🤣

The Legendary Bladers (which is a tournament in the manga) happens 7 months after the finals of the World Championship.

Beyblade Soul Burst happens 1 year after Beyblade Metal Fury.

Zero-G happens 7 years after Nemesis' defeat. And the tournament ending Zero-G happens 1 year later.

He gazes at the small child in his cave with no small amount of shock. Well, he calls it a small child, but it’s actually taller than him. And on second thought, maybe he should stop calling it ‘it’, when it’s clearly a boy. The child just doesn’t look like anything Bruno’s ever seen before, that’s all. White hair, red eyes, a weird mask—wait a second, are the boy’s eyes glowing?

“Hey, uh,” Bruno stammers, “who are you?”

“I am Red Eye,” the child replies with a growly voice. “And this is my Bey, Legend Spryzen.” He holds up a very fancy spinning top, and Bruno does a double take when the spinning top—or whatever fancy thing Red Eye calls it—starts to glow as well.

“What are you doing here? How old are you? Where are your parents,” Bruno panics, hands fluttering at his sides and disturbing his rats. “Dios, how do I get you back home?”

Red Eye seems reluctant now. “I don’t know how I got here, I was training with my Bey and when I looked up I was here. And I’m twelve, for what it’s worth. I have no idea where my parents are, but they don’t matter. Where am I? And who are you?”

“Colombia. I-I’m Bruno Madrigal. So, um, is there anything I can do to get you back home?”

Red Eye contemplates this. “Well, I’m from Japan, but there’s this illegal training facility called the Snake Pit in Mexico that I’ve been hanging around for a while now. Point me in a direction, and I’ll be fine.”

“I-Illegal training facility?”

“Yeah, it’s where Bladers go when they really need to get stronger. It’s only for the best of the best. The weak ones die.”

“I don’t know what a Blader is, but do your parents know about this Snake Pit thing?”

Red Eye somehow gives him a look from underneath the mask. “No, and if you ever meet them—which is highly unlikely—I don’t want you blabbing about it to them. And what year is it? You’re wearing some pretty weird clothes.”

“Oh, it’s 1951. And I know the hourglass pattern is weird, but Mamá insisted. ‘You can see the future, Brunito, you must lean into it!’”

Red Eye’s mouth dropped open, then he cursed in a foreign language. “1951? That’s decades away from the year I’m from! How am I supposed to go back when I’m not even in the right year?” Then something seemed to click, and his mouth dropped again. “Can you really see the future?”

Bruno turns his eyes on, and Red Eye’s eyes flash in response under the mask. “Yeah, b-but I don’t do visions anymore. Since you’re not in the right year, maybe you can stay with the family until I figure out how to send you back?”

“The family?”

Bruno smiles, “Yeah, they’re the best. They’re gonna love you, kid. You’ll fit right in.”

Red Eye holds up a hand, “Please tell me there isn’t an upbeat extrovert that motivates everyone around them. Please, for my sanity, tell me there isn’t a friendship magnet.”

“Wow, you just described Mirabel! She’s my niece, y’know. Nice kid, she is.”

“May the gods have mercy on my soul.”

Beyblade character design analysis: Gwyn Reynolds

Last time I went over Arthur. Now for the actual main antagonist of GT, Gwyn

Gwyn had braided white hair. The white in his hair (and the rest of his design) matches Genesis. It’s also a “corporate” color for lack of a better term. White is a neutral color that can go with almost anything and appear cold and unfeeling. Not that either of those actually describe Gwyn, but they describe how he is seen. As for the braids, they’re hard to maintain. He has to be careful and organized, but more on that at the end

Gwyn’s eyes are the most colorful thing about his design. While Gwyn may externally appear emotionless, he does have feelings, even if he doesn’t express them. The eyes are the window to the soul [insert snarky remark because I don’t particularly like that saying] and Gwyn’s soul is vibrant, just hidden beneath a cold exterior

His collar thing is light blue. White with light blue gives off a very cold, icy vibe. It’s similar to Lui, but Lui had some darker colors (particularly below the waist) to contrast with all the white. For Gwyn, this idea that he is an unfeeling machine isn’t true, but it seems to be

Gwyn wears a white shirt with a black tie-thing. A predominantly white color scheme with hints of black is arguably the most corporate color scheme possible. It feels like being in an office cubicle. Further reinforcing Gwyn’s emotionless exterior

His belt is yellow. It stands out, but not too much. It doesn’t conflict with the established aesthetic of Gwyn’s design but belts are a near-universal thing for bladers and Gwyn is a blader

His pants are white. Their color is plain, with no detail other than more white. The flame-like thing is cool though. Gwyn has a fiery soul, but it’s not noticeable at a quick glance

When he resonates, Gwyn’s hair floats up. If I had a nickel for every antagonist whose braided hair defies gravity when they power up, I’d have two nickels (the other is Zeo Zagart). Gwyn may appear calm and calculating at first, but if he’s pushed into a corner he gets much more chaotic, like his hair

Beyblade OC week 2023 day 4 - rivalry

Rose doesn’t necessarily have a rivalry with El but El surly does with her. El use to be part of a different idol group constantly competing with Rose’s. El’s over all goal was that she want to eventually outshine Rose and top her fame. When Rose left El was outraged cause she wanted to win the spot light fare and square. Once she found out Rose became a blader she to started battling for the soul fact of just wanting to beat Rose at something. Rose however is annoyed with her constant stalking and ambushing. She just wants El to let go of her childish rivalry and move on with her life.

The Best Early Gears in Dark Souls 1

Dark Souls is known for its unforgiving difficulty among the gaming community. After getting the game and playing it for myself, I concluded that while it is pretty difficult, it is not as bad as most people make it out to be. The game’s interconnectivity allows the players to get their hands on powerful gears pretty early in their playthrough. After finishing 3 playthroughs and 180 hours of playtime, I have compiled a list of great gears that can be obtained early in the game with relative ease.

Estoc

Estoc is the largest thrusting sword with the longest reach in the game. All you have to do get to obtain it is to get down to New Londo Ruins, which is one elevator rider away from Firelink Shrine, the main hub and starting area. And it is found lying out in the open surrounded by non-hostile Hollows! It also has the low stat requirements of 10 strength and 12 dexterity, so most starting players can use it almost immediately!

Zweihander

The Zweihander is located in the graveyard to the left of Firelink Shrine. All you have to do to get it is to run through the graveyard avoiding the skeletons and pick it up. While it requires some investment in strength to use (16 for two-handing, 24 for one handing) and attacks pretty slow, the Zweihander has high stun-lock potential and high base damage. If you upgrade it consistently, especially taking the Fire and Chaos upgrade path, the Zweihander will be able to remain a very good weapon of choice through the end of the game. There’s a good reason the “Chaoshander Giantdad” is one of the most powerful builds in Dark Souls 1. (Filty Casul! The Legend never dies!)

This bony curved sword can be obtained by joining the Gravelord Covenant in the Catacombs. In order to join the covenant, one must get into the Catacombs, do some navigation and land on the right ledge, then go inside the narrow room with a Titanite Demon, pick up the 3 Eyes of Death, and quickly get into one of the open coffins. Once you successfully enter the coffin, it will take you to Gravelord Nito. Then you can pray to him and join the covenant. Once you do, you’ll get the Gravelord Sword. The curved sword has very high base damage and can inflict Toxic buildup. The downside is its difficulty to upgrade because it uses Demon Titanite, which is mainly obtained from Titanite Demons, which is a pretty tough miniboss.

Great Scythe

The great scythe can be obtained in the Catacombs. It has the best dexterity scaling in the game, combines a long reach, high damage, versatile moveset into one package, and also inflicts bleed.

Balder Side Sword

Affectionately nicknamed Baller Swag Sword by fans, this side sword is dropped by Blader Knight in the Undead Parish church. It has a drop rate of 1%, meaning that those who desire this weapon will need to farm for it. However, should they get their hands on it, they’ll find that it lives up to its nickname as a straight sword that has high dexterity scaling, low stamina consumption per swing, longer reach compared to other straight swords, and a unique move set, particularly its heavy attacks which consists of consecutive multi-thrusts.

Grass Crest Shield

A humble shield found in Darkroot Basin, guarded by a Black Knight. When equipped, it increases stamina regeneration, allowing you to attack and dodge more frequently.

Black Knight Gears

Black Knights are powerful minibosses. But should you manage to defeat them, by exploiting critical attacks by parrying, ripostes, and backstabs or getting gravity to kill them for you, you have a chance to get their weapons (20%) or shield (5%). Their weapon choices include the Black Knight Sword, Black Knight Greatsword, Black Knight Greataxe, and Black Knight Halberd (Though its shape is more like a glaive). All of these weapons possess high base damage, a 20% bonus damage multiplier against demon type enemies, decent stat scaling, and moderate strength requirements. The weapons’ effectiveness can carry those lucky enough to obtain it all the way through New Game Plus. Their status as Unique weapons also makes them very easy to upgrade, as you can easily get 10 Twinkling Titanites from Crystal Lizards to fully upgrade them.

Locations for potential early Back Knight gears

The Halberd can be obtained early from the Black Knight that guards the Grass Crest Shield, the Sword can be obtained from Undead Burg’s Black Knight, and the Greatsword can be obtained from the Black Knight near the Sunlight Altar bonfire.

Uchigatana

This katana can be obtained by killing the Undead Merchant in Undead Burg. It has a fast attack speed, ability to inflict bleed, and makes the player feel like a cool anime protagonist. No wonder it has gained the nickname “Guchigatana”.

Claymore

The Claymore is a greatsword that can be obtained from the bridge that leads up to the Sunlight Altar bonfire. It is very versatile, dealing high damage and having great stun-lock capabilities. It also has an average scaling, making it a favorite for “quality builds”, and a versatile moveset; wide horizontal slashes and a fast thrusting attack in one hand, vertical slashes in two-hand.

Drake Sword

This sword can be obtained from shooting the tail of the Hellkite Drake. It has a high base damage of 200 but has no scaling whatsoever and requires rare dragon scales to upgrade. This means it is only useful on the early game before it starts to get overshadowed by other weapons.

I need to know about the Beyblade Dinosaurs AU!

@kuroinana thank you for the ask and letting me talk about it, sorry for the wait, tumblr deleted my first draft of this. OH BOY, get yourself ready because I already know how long this will be as this is the second time I am writing, I have been holding on this for a long time, 2 years almost. Most of the plot is still kind of hazy and that’s why I want people to talk about it with, so I can brainstorm it further! suit yourself, get comfy, take some snack, we are here for the long run. Prepare for the tour, Keep your hands inside the vehicle, we don’t want to get sued for bites. And these fuzzy beybes have sharp teeth, beaks, claws and do BITE.

Oh and if you want to follow along I have been looking to this list for most of the Asian Dinosaurs 

How the idea came to be:

As for most things, it is yuriy’s fault. I was sketching some cryolophosaurus and found myself thinking how its crest is yuriy’s hair shaped, especially if you make it red. I couldn’t stop then thinking about the idea of yuriy being one or one with yuriy’s colors, the name means “ice-crested lizard” and it feels fitting, but then i also remembered YUTYRANNUS, the feathered tyrant, it has a crest too  and well, Yuriy-Yuty, my indecisive soul decided to put yuriy aside and to see if I could associate more characters to dinosaurs. This started a series of sleepless nights going through scientific articles, wiki pages, specialized website, fossil sites pages, an ungodly amount of note taking on random pieces of paper most lost, all because I thought funny drawing the beyboys as extinct lizard/birds things and then sprinkled in a bit of a story. Sadly then life got all of my time so the progress done on it has been.. on hiatus since, lot of characters gave me troubles and I got lost in many thoughts, ups. But there are a few things and characters I am sure of.

Characters I am quite sure of:

Max: a ceratopsid, probably Stellasaurus, mostly because the genus was recently (as in a few months after I had the Idea of this AU) re-evaluated and described in 2020, right when I was working on this. Chosen because of the star shirt that max’s wears in v-force honestly ahaha, and because I was thinking about Styracosaurus, which Stellasaurus is closely related to. He would be quite important in the background lore of the AU I have started thinking about, being a recently re-discovered species.

Boris(Bryan): a therizinosaurus-like dinosaur. Was thinking about Falcasaurus but all mentions of this dinosaur seems to be gone from existence? I am sure I saw it in the list I was looking at during my search so.. I am doing a confusion here, but that would have been perfect. Maybe it has been renamed? Maybe I hallucinated it?? I mean it was late at night when I was doing my listing so…. well, seems like I will have to go back searching for him. Erlikosaurus is probably the next more probable choice.

Kenny: a Neo or Proto ceratopsid or a pachycepalosaurid of some kind, he just has the vibes and I need some more herbivores.

Kai: I see you all saying T.rex in that first post I made on the 5th November 2020. To you I say, I see you, but, why?. The vibes don’t match at all. Just because T.rex is big, strong, cool and probably the most popular dinosaur and thus the cool, popular character has to be it? Why so cliche with T.rex when Pyroraptor olympus is Right Here, the fire thief/predator. Would fit with Kai perfectly with suzaku and black dranzer, if only it weren’t FRENCH (and also with the Olympus theme may actually fit good with the BEGA bladers). But definitely some type of Dromaeosaurid/Raptor for sure for this boy. 

Daichi: Yi-qi was my first choice, the thing is a miniature dragon basically, but recently a very similar species has been described so I think I will check that out when I have time.

Takao: Definitely a small tyrannosaurid or tyrannosauroid, also Have you an Idea of how many dinosaurs with a dragon theme/based name are out there? Many, like a lot LOT, too many, And I wanted to keep the dragon theme. At the end of numerous nights I had narrowed it down to either Guanlong wucaii (Crowned dragon of five colors) or Dilong paradoxus (emperor dragon). I then started sketching the Dilong idea to try and come up with a design/concept. He is actually the only one I have art of and intended to post as a teaser, just to show the idea was still alive, here have it:

but then I never posted it because of a funny for me thing that happened and made my anxiety spark up ah ah, wanna know what that was? In september 2021 @creativebeaststudio showed the artwork of their own dilong design,

whose color scheme is almost exactly takao’s. Funny right? Anyway then I  got too scared of being told I “stole” the design even if mine was made before, silly considering probably there is just the smallest overlap of people interested in both but still… I wish i could get that dilong model one day too.

Things I am not sure of:

Do I keep this with only dinosaurs and not adding other prehistoric creatures? preferably I would like it since I have already named this the Dinosaur Au, but some characters are proving a bit hard;

Who do I want to keep as humans and who do I want to turn into dinosaurs. Generally thinking the adults would stay humans and all the bladers be dinosaurs. But then there are characters like Hitoshi, what do I do with him? do I make him the same species as takao or something different? Do I leave him human? on one side I think it would be interesting to have grandpa Kinomiya finding and having to deal with them both has dinosaurs and raise them up without asking many questions, but also having Hitoshi human and being the one to find a hatchling Takao. I don’t really know what to do with him;

What to do with the bit beasts? Do I turn them into dinosaurs too or do I leave them as they are? They are sacred creatures. Do I give these characters powers based on the sacred beasts they have? It would make sense in some way; 

Rei is a pain and I have no clue what dinosaur to make him. I need some herbivores but he is so cat like that he would not fit but I have too many carnivores;

General Plot Ideas?:

The facilities, BBA, PPB, Borg etc, instead of being about beyblades they are kind of like InGen and Biosyn in Jurassic Park/World. So, they make dinosaurs. reasons for why? idk. There is no real Good or Bad, it’s all a big morally gray area, but one is definitely worse than the others. PPB and BBA occasionally work together, see Max is a result of the collaboration. I’m thinking the BBA is slightly more advanced and has more funding  but the PPB has the best spaces and technology so it gets help from the BBA with funding projects, kind of like in the original jurassic park the investors where japanese if i remember correctly from the books.

There is going to be fighting, there has to be, I don’t know if anyone knows dinosaur king but it would probably look a bit like that, just instead of the humans using cards it’s the dinosaurs “calling” on the power of their sacred beast, or just their own strength if they don’t have one.

I am thinking that Rei and the rest of the Baihuzu may actually be from a hidden spot in the world where some species of dinosaurs actually survived and are kept protected by locals who are distrusting of the outside, or alternatively like what in jurassic park happens with Isla Sorna, when the project failed they were just left there. Maybe the Saint Shields could be actual surviving dinosaurs.

Why did Jack keep Evil Befall?

Unlike his teammate Zeo and Toby, who also endured the arrangement, Jack didn't change Beyblade despite changing philosophy. I wanted to dive deeper into why it makes sense for him to keep it.

"Well if we have to speak in terms like this, then i have indeed been, reborn my friends."

Jack (Beyblade Metal Fury: The New Stricker is Complete!-Episode 118).

Symbolism is very important in MFB and inexorably links bladers with their beys, and Jack is no exception. Befall is a peacock, which symbolizes beauty. Jack himself is obsessed with beauty and wants to find a suitable blader for his art, like Tsubasa. He has no desire to fight bladers whom he considers not artistic material. Jack is, in a way, quite superficial. Another, and more important, concept that the peacock represents is rebirth (life and death). In Metal Masters, Jack used the souls of others to bring his art to life (as seen with Klaus' state at the end of episode 89 or when he told Ryuga that his work only needed a soul to be over).

"-Now for the finishing touch we must add the soul. -The soul ? -An eye… An eye called L-Drago that is."

Jack and Ryuga (Beyblade Metal Masters: The Dragon Emperor Descends-Episode 93).

Eyes are a window to the soul after all, and the motifs on a peacock's tail are reminiscent of eyes. Jack himself covers half of his face with a mask. In a way, he hides the person he was before, and at the same time, it shows the missing part of himself, of his soul that he sold to Ziggurat for power.

In Metal Fury, Jack removed the mask; he even said that he was reborn. Which is true: he combined who he was before and during the arrangement while tossing away his insanity and craziness (the result of him having lost his mind/soul).

Comparing this evolution to Toby and Zeo's shows that they could no longer keep Tempo and Byxis. @sky-of-dusk established that Tempo and Byxis were objects they figuratively needed: Toby, who was dying, needed more time, and Zeo, who was lost, needed direction. However, after the destruction of Hades Inc., they no longer required those. I would add that Tempo and Byxis are objects and tools that anybody can use in their everyday life. Yet, Toby and Zeo are not tools anymore; they were freed from Ziggurat. Toby's Lyra is reminiscent of Orpheus, but it is also an instrument. Learning how to play an instrument can be long and time-consuming; similarly, Lyra is not an easy Bey that anyone can master, as stated by Masamune. An instrument isn't a commodity; it is an activity that is fulfilling for the mind and spirit: it symbolizes that Toby recovered his mind that Ziggurat tried to steal, but his body, his style, scarred, as seen with his white hair (and the MF tip that Lyra shares with Ziggurat's Capricorn). Zeo replaces his compass with a fox Beyblade. Foxes are wild animals, part of the canidae like the dog; Zeo is not a dog; he is free. Yet, unlike Toby, his mind is still impacted more than his body. The face-bolt of Spiral Fox emulates the kitsune, a fox-like creature that deceives humans and hides its true nature. The energy ring is blue like Spiral Capricorn, highlighting a more symbolic link between Fox and Ziggurat's Bey. Zeo hides his trauma because, more than Toby, he remembers everything starting with the pain. In the end both were greatly impacted by the Spiral Force event as demonstrated by their use of the spiral fusion wheel.

The point I am trying to make is that Toby and Zeo were scarred and traumatized, while Jack didn't go through the same path. He enjoyed the arrangement, and he liked the person he became because of this, which is in direct contradiction to Toby and Zeo's experiences. As a result, he has less reason to change Bey since he will not associate Befall with bad events.

Finally, I would conclude by saying that Benkei had a similar experience: He was given Dark Bull by Doji but kept it. He even told Shinobu in Zero G that it doesn't matter who gives you your Bey; what matters is what you do with it. Also, the way Jack got Befall is similar to how Benkei got Bull: They were given by a member of the Hades cult, trying to use them as pawns for their greater ambition. In the scene, they also reference their constellation and instantly take a liking to their new Bey, "which specialize in upper attacks". Also, Jack is the only member in Star Breaker to directly get his Bey with Ziggurat present. Furthermore, Bull and Befall share some similarities: the colors are close (red and pink), their Fusion Wheels are named after something negative (Dark and Evil/Killer), their Spin Track is their most iconic/important part and emulates a part of their BeyBeast (horns for Bull and wings for Befall). Finally, the EWD tip is considered an "evolution" of SD (Dark Bull's tip), since Nightmare Rex another beyblade goes from the SW145SD combo to UW145EWD. The most important thing is that Jack truly bonded with Befall, as seen in the Destroyer Dome, like Benkei bonded with Bull.

So Jack kept Befall because it works symbolically and for his character.

Tsubasa is another character with Kyoya that Shoyo loves to hate (affectionate kinda for Tsoobs) and not realize how similar their vibes are :'D They think they're the one doing the "I'm mysterious and cool" character right and Tsubasa's not so good at it /hj

Okay but mainly they are very sus of him during a good bit of fusion, knowing something's up with him being in the dark nebula and when it's revealed that he was a double agent, that doesn't make them trust him really. Little Shoyo got trust issues everyone so trusting Tsubasa Otori, another shady kid sticking with Gingka and the gang and learning about the power of friendship in the process is hard for her (she doesn't see the similarities... or maybe she does idk but it's funny this way).

Basically imagine shoyo during fusion muttering "this guy's weird showing up and showing off his skills like what's he got in mind he's weird I don't trust him :(" while Kenta's trying very hard to say this in the nicest way possible "Shoyo this is literally what you did back when you met us, also you smelled and kept fainting before telling us important plot exposition."

One thing that makes them bond a little during fusion is that they both relunctantly spend time with phoenix and so they complain about him together. Jokes on Shoyo one of them's getting adopted and it's not Tsoobs.

After fusion they have a lot more trust between them and they also went through the "losing against Ryuga and having their soul stolen" little thing that happened so they have a weary way of looking after the other. I imagine it's clearer between Sho and Hikaru but Sho's also really concerned about Tsubasa, and they have some late night conversations about The Battle Bladers Trauma. I imagine it's also because they hear Tsubasa's going through the horrors and escaped the hospital that they agree to go along with Hyoma to find Ryuga, which was :/ but yayy friends :D

Basically, started off rocky and as them being sus of each other but with time and trauma they became friends! They're still being way too sarcastic with each other and have estranged siblings behavior but they're alright :)

For Nile um I don't really know tbh, I don't think they'd have a lot of interactions in my au. But if they did, they would vibe pretty well together I think. I think for Nile there's a little time he needs to start feeling comfortable and being friendly with people, which Sho totally gets. They would respect the other's fighting style and attitude a lot too, though Nile does notice that battling seems to weigh on Shoyo more than it seems to bring any joy to her at all. Maybe He'd stop saking for battles after a while, judging it's best not to push the question maybe. Shoyo thinks Nile is really cool and he has a really intimidating presence despite being so short. Overall they'd get along, probably not to the point of being close friends or anythingcause both of them have little mental capacity for loads of friends and maintaining those friendships but yeah, very cool person is Shoyo's thoughts about Nile.
