Before she knew, the Spice Festival came back to the square near her place. But Heather was as ready as she could be to tackle that Spice challenge. She had eaten spicy dishes at the food stalls whenever she could. She had cried and coughed and blushed and drunk liters of milk to sooth her stinging mouth... 

Now was THE time. Miko was going to come and cheer her on, but as always, she was running late because of work. Heather often wondered how Miko’s boss could ever have been elected, as she completely relied on Miko to organise charity events and write her speeches. It never occurred to Heather that it might have been because Miko did all that grinding work. Politics, Heather didn’t understand it at all...

So Heather got her plate of super duper mega spicy curry, took a moment to concentrate and mentally prepare herself for the inevitable burning of everything from her lips to her stomach and then she dove in. 

She had a few difficult moments, she had to admit, the curry was extremely spicy. But she pressed on, bite by bite, unwilling to give up. She was eating for her very honour and she was going to make it! 

To her own surprise, suddenly she was scraping the final bits of food from the plate. She had finished the plate without bursting into tears or spitting flames like a fire dragon. She had done it! With a big grin, she looked at her empty plate. 

The festival organisers congratulated her and handed her a cool spicy pepper T-shirt. From the crowd that had gathered to see the new Curry Champion, she heard Miko scream “Show! Show! Show!” Heather felt her cheeks glow and wasn’t sure if that was only because of the spicy food or also because she felt a little shy all of a sudden. She greeted the cheering crowd (which felt very nice) and then quickly walked over to Miko to properly greet her. Eventually she hastily took off her warm winter sweater and put on the T-shirt over her own T-shirt to show it off to Miko, who nodded with approval and smiled “That’s my girl, well done, sweetie!”

Next was Lumineon’s turn! Applin and Camerupt watched anxiously to see how he’d do... And then I got distracted by something else and went to take pictures of that instead. I was very sad to miss Lumineon’s reaction but it’s his fault for taking so long to get there! >:(

Non gen1s probably will flatsale at 25kT each, gen1s are going to be negotiable. I’d put gem gened ones in the like 1.5k Gem-range at the very minimum tho.

In between all her odd jobs, Heather liked to try new foods at the food stalls on the square. Houda had told her about some kind of spicy food challenge at the Spice Festival and Heather was determined to win that challenge. As she became a regular at the food stalls and started chatting with the vendors, they’d give her the more spicy plates to practice.

Soraya: “Hey Heather, I got you some extra spice in this curry, you thing you can handle the heat?”

Heather: “Sure, bring it on. I feel so cool today, I could handle a plate of steaming hot lava!”

Soraya (as Heather breaths fire in pure agony): “Tadaaaaa, extra hot and spicy!”

“Next time, there’s always next time,” Heather thought, defeatedly watching the little ring of smoke dissolve.
