Another thing I'm adding to the season 2 wishlist: I desperately hope we get to see Ed in Finest Sailor Izzy Has Ever Known mode.

We got the lighthouse in ep4 of course but I want to see that man making use of the tides and shit. I want him connected to the sea the way Buttons is connected to the moon. Tripping up his enemies with sandbars no one else can even see. Maneuvering the Revenge like he's threading a needle. I'm talking like, preternatural levels of sailing prowess and feats that nobody else can touch.

#obviously the lighthouse was only a backup to the fog plan that failed #and I would argue the fog plan definitely falls under “preternatural” #thing is though #the fog still mattered because it made the lighthouse more convincing #there's a chance that the presence of Hornigold means flashback scenes #and those would be a great opportunity to show young Ed skittering up the rigging like a spider #or something else cool like that #the flashback thing is major speculation though #ofmd #our flag means death #edward teach #ofmd s2 speculation

i look at my 168k+ words, 373 page timeline notes document and i think, there's no way in hell i'm ever writing all of this story

(especially because some of the stuff that happens in the future is going to be too similar to 616 for me to bother writing out (i mean, i could, i guess...?))

but also i want it all to exist as a story!! not just notes

technically the original conception of this entire AU was "what would I do if i was in charge of an animated Spider-Man series" which is my explanation for why exactly i have such a lengthy and detailed timeline since normally i don't do this.

obviously that's not an actual thing that will ever happen but, in my ideal fantasy world... it would be a teen or adult animated series instead of what it is, which is 100k+ words' worth of fanfiction on ao3 in the spidey comics tag because there's no better series to assign it to (lol)

(yes i have 100k+ words of actual prose AND 168k+ words of notes, yes the bulk of it was all written in the past 3-4 months)

even in my ideal fantasy world of an animated show it would probably be unreasonable to actually run the entire timeline but flash-forwards to select scenes from the 2020s and 2030s (in-universe) is feasible. otherwise it would end on the MOST depressing note possible

(peter dying a few weeks before his 50th birthday and then flash dying of heartbreak a few weeks later (yes, on peter's birthday))

in many ways though it's better that it's my own personal novel's worth of fanfiction cause outside of my ideal fantasy world there's no way in hell any of the peterflash stuff would get approved, let alone flash transitioning LOL

ah fanfiction, i love you, you let me do whatever the fuck i want and the only people who can say anything are random strangers on the internet who hold no power over me or my creative output no matter how much they dislike my characterization of peter as a deeply flawed shithead learning to be gentle and soft
