Not a WIP really, just a random silly moment possibly inspired by real life events… mostly because I love the head canon that my boy gets overexcited about little things…
Virg! I WON THE HAMPER RAFFLE
The whatnow?
The raffle prize, it’s a hamper and I won it!
When were you in a raffle?
Oh, this charity thing at the pub we’re in. There was a raffle. Which I won!
Uh, well done? What’s in the hamper?
I dunno… British food.
Three types of teabags.
There are cookies...
Oh chocolates! The chocolate is pretty decent here actually.
Also Soap!
That’s quite the random selection.
Its done up all fancy too with ribbons and stuff.
It’s just really pretty.
I’ve never won a raffle!
I’m really pleased for you bro…

grian pearl and scott: none of us chose or even truly desired to win, rather, victory was thrust upon us like the cloak of destiny that we all don. victory was unwelcome and in some cases unexpected, it could've been anyone but it was us martyn: i murdered cause i wanted to win and i won cause i wanted to murder

okay okay wait a second
victor trevor interrupting stranger’s conversation just because he heard the name sherlock holmes in it? asking if he has been mentioning him? being the only friend sherlock had in college? remembering that the one kind of pasta he eats is penne and having his own predictions about who sherlock’d be in the future? asking right away if he’d been right? thinking that sherlock of all people was a great laugh? and have I heard being in between boyfriends???
finally, speaking about sherlock with this warm nostalgic tone and always with a bashful laugh hidden behind it? oh my, mister victor trevor, you were in love!
and don’t mind me at all, but I’m having a certain vision - of sherlock and victor in college, victor coming late to their dorm after long evening studying in the library or a night out with friends in a pub, and finding sherlock transfixed on some experiment, of course having gone a whole day without a proper meal. victor complaining loudly about you and your fucked up diet, honestly, sherlock, but at the same time getting ready to go make sherlock some pasta for a late night diner. because did you know this penne with mascarpone and tomato sauce that is the only pasta sherlock eats, is originally a victor’s recipe? and after it’s done, them both sitting on a couch, sherlock eating from a pot - they’re students after all, the dishes are in a big dirty pile in the sink - while victor watches him out of the corner of his eye. then the rest of the evening spend on Sherlock talking about his experiment, some interesting plant or a new deduction, while victor just listens to him with a dreamy expression on his face, because that’s what he has been waiting the whole day for.
and I won’t speculate whether sherlock was in love, too, because the man is a mystery to me, but I do imagine victor calling him after the events of gloria scott, asking if he can come by to baker street to thank properly for solving the case. after sherlock agrees - but invites him over when he knows nor john neither mariana would be home - victor arrives with a shoping bag in hand and, in spite of some attempts at protest close to it’s not necessary, he prepares the penne pasta for sherlock one last time. then all is done and there’s no excuse for him to stay longer, really, so he stands up to say goodbye. quick enough for sherlock to not be able to do anything about it, victor kisses him on the cheek. but he had been watching sherlock during the case and heard enough my dear watson to know that he has lost his chance. so he says simply good luck, sherlock and walks out of baker street.
john would come back to the flat few moments later to find sherlock standing in a doorway, hands holding his cheeks. sherlock being even weirder than usual, john would get worried and trying to pry any information from him, even checking his temperature by a quick touch to the forehead. but as sherlock doesn’t comply, in the end john would just shrug his shoulders and leave him alone, only to become perplexed seconds later, when he enters the kitchen.
because there are leftovers of penne with mascarpone and tomato sauce already on the countertop, while john himself was just about to cook them this same thing for dinner.

Rotating Etho's choice to protect his allies in my mind. Obviously they made incredible escapes and held their own but Etho also refusing to sell out Cleo and Grian meant that nearly everyone else died, some died multiple times, most lost additional hearts, hurt alliances (Scott: Gem has no band loyalty!), and did not gain something like 120 hearts total
Meanwhile, Cleo and Grian get to feel secure in their alliance, not go red, and actually finish their tasks. The playing field has obviously been levelled significantly and they still suffered, but Etho facilitated his alliance gaining the most where everyone else lost the most
Obviously it's a display his loyalty first and foremost but he also played the game, ran the numbers, and counted himself out of success knowing it would be diminishing returns to go after them and I just think that's neat

Love watching bad boys' POVs and Scott is just there when they are doing something.
He's like a girlfriend that comes to hang out into his boyfriends dorm but he is busy doing the stupidest shit imaginable with his bros so he just sits there commentating

I’m internally screaming about Grians last episode. The ultimate betrayal was stabbing Scar in the back. Grian didn’t think twice about shoving Joel off Skynet, when he got a kill and went back to green. When they were still in that yellow craze. He was sorry for killing Jimmy. But he never thought about any of that as a betrayal. Just good fun. Or an accident. He said to Jimmy that there are no rules in this game.
And yet here he is, saying he is betraying Scar. When they barely even had an alliance this season. Even though Scar had attacked him before with the intent to kill.
And Scar was so shocked by it, too. Because the two danced around each other all season, no matter where their overall alliances stood. They chatted and teased and mildly antagonized each other. And Grian would swipe at Scar with a scolding tone “Are you really trying to take me on?”.
Grian had never been a real threat to Scar.
Out of the two of them Scar probably killed Grian the most because of the AFK session. And even then it had a playful ring to it and didn’t count because “Grian wasn’t really there, so it didn’t happen.”
It wasn’t the Bad Boys Grian reunited with after death, either. Scar was the one waiting for him in the end. Scar was the one cheering him on with “Cuteguy!” as a ghost.
I just can’t believe that in the end, Desertduo still somehow won. I love their absolute mess of a relationship. The push and pull. How they antagonize and support each other.
Martyn and Scott are such an amazing mirror to Scars and Grians ending, too. Scotts last words ring true for Grian and Scar, as well: “He betrayed me. I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
It echoes Grians “You’re such a monster! I’m so proud.” from the beginning of season 9, when they are together in the End.
They are the epitome of “I can make him worse.” and I’m absolutely loving it.

i'm someone who's deathly afraid of being chased. i've had so many nightmares of being on the run, being helpless as death looms closer, and my most recent nightmare involving this fear was a game of hide and seek with infected zombies. (pure coincidence, but funny nonetheless.)
this being said, after seeing the warm bloods' povs, i think it's amazing that they could convey so much anxiety and fear and crazed shock at surviving (especially in grian's pov) through pixels on a screen in a block game. the editing was genuinely so emotional and was able to elevate their fear and emotions to the viewer and keep them on edge just as much as they were when recording.
that fear was so incredibly real. and perhaps i have it worse because of my deep fear for it but still. so much love to the creators for making this experience for us and making it so amazing while they were at it.

Goodness me this episode was an emotional journey.
Sherlock solving the case then going to Watson's room to lay in his bed to find some form of comfort, Sherlock's cussing and venting of the case when he realises its revelations would hurt Victor, the moments of intimacy when Watson's speaks about the last memories he has of his father and them laughing together at it, Sherlock revealing the guilt and suppressed memories he has of the principle and the self identity crisis he has because of it?
I cannot even begin to discuss this properly.

Actually I do have thoughts and oddly enough it’s about gem, who I haven’t watched too much this season.
If you want to do Lore: She gets pulled into another persons body for a single day, she kills people she knows from a different world a few times and goes back home where everyone acts fine.
She wakes up a few months later as one of the contestants.
So she adapts, makes friends and alliances. It’s almost fun! They all have team ups and okay, some people are better at survival than others, but she’s having a good time. she does the secrets just like everyone else. Sure, some of hers are more violent than others but that’s what she’s good at and she won’t apologize for that.
(She does, profusely, after the fact. People accept, but suddenly she doesn’t know if they’re being honest.)
And then they all turn red. And then they all get a secret that says something so simple, so out of reach for most of them.
And it’s not fun anymore.
She’s running from people, she’s feeling a craving for blood and more hearts that’s not natural. She’s watching the people she’s grown close to turn on each other for ten hearts and watching everyone else be okay with it because “that’s how the game works”
Scott tells her to kill him. Tell her that he can’t get it done. Impulse is gone, and Scott is so calm when he’s throwing her stuff that will hopefully kill her other two friends still alive. He sounds like he’s made peace with the fact, that he KNOWS Gem is going to kill him.
She does.
She doesn’t have time to process it, something she screams about as soon as the lightning fades. She doesn’t have time-but that isn’t the right game, she isn’t in THAT game- when Pearl and Scar are right there coming for her.
She’s shaken up, she’s alone. She’s readying her sword anyways.
Gem is a fighter, but as she yells at Pearl asking her why she’s trying to kill her, Gem realizes she doesn’t know why she’s fighting in the first place.
Her first game, and she dies to people she considered friends.
And THAT is her introduction to the life series.

kim and roxie obviously arent into each other, but you can do what you want with the series. you want a happy ending for roxie richter? you want kim to get a girlfriend? you want them to hook up at a later time and kim changes her mind which does happen irl? bro go for it. years ago no one would have expected a major plot point to be todd going crazy over wallace and having a break down over his gay awakening. make the yuri you want happen and dont be discouraged by the ones obsessed with accurate interpretations.

AND ANOTHER THING WHILE IM ON THE TOPIC
I feel like Knuckles the series is another one of those times that Tails was right there, and what I mean by this, is Wade should not have been in the focus of the show, sorry don't care lol. He's a fine side character, incompetent white man who doesn't do anything well and never gets consequences for it is fine, but we didn't need another show centered around that topic.
Now, I may be biased bc Tails is my favorite but if we needed to give Knuckles a journey about learning to find home and we needed to give him a powerful sidekick who also learns a lesson, Tails is right there. Tails, who grew up without a family entirely/a family who hated him is learning to accept a new family, and Knuckles, who had an entire family but lost them all is accepting that it's okay to find a new one. That literally could've been the plot and we could've kept all the shenanigans that happened, minus the Wade Whipple bowling tournament plot, and the copaganda.
The elder guardians would've loved for Tails (or even Sonic, or ffs MADDIE) to be the newest successors of their tribe, and he would've been perfect for it. A young, hopeful, bright mind, still malleable to learn the ways of the tribe and no ego to get in the way, and an overall good kid.
Plus I feel like what most of us want is to see the boys interact, not some random white guy.
