The Martand Sun Temple, Kashmir
Dedicated to Lord Surya, Hinduism's principal sun god; Surya Dev is also recognized through his Sanskrit name Martand.
It was made by King Lalitaditya in around 5th Century A.D. and it was destructed by Muslim ruler Sikander Butshikan, under the advice of Sufi preacher Mir Muhammad Hamadani. It is believed that the was so strongly built that it took many days for its destruction.

The temple has a colonnaded courtyard, with its primary shrine in its center and surrounded by 84 smaller shrines, stretching to be 220 feet long and 142 feet broad total and incorporating a smaller temple that was previously built.
The primary shrine is located in a centralised structure (the temple proper) that is thought to have had a pyramidal top - a common feature of the temples in Kashmir. Various wall carvings in the antechamber of the temple proper depict other gods, such as Vishnu Ji and river goddesses, such as Mata Ganga and Mata Yamuna, in addition to the sun-god Surya Dev.

Mesa Verde National Park (No. 25)
Mesa Verde National Park, established in 1906, features some of the most well-preserved Ancestral Puebloan sites in the Southwest. More than 22,000 people may have lived on and around Mesa Verde at the beginning of the 1200s. But by the beginning of the 1300s, the area was depopulated, likely as a result of a prolonged drought or other social pressures. The inhabitants largely resettled in Arizona and the Rio Grande Valley of New Mexico, where their descendants live today as the Pueblo and Hopi people. (The park’s former inhabitants were once called the Anasazi, though the term – which is commonly cited as meaning “ancient enemy” in the Diné language – is considered derogatory by Pueblo people and has fallen out of use).
Mesa Verde’s crown jewels are its cliff dwellings, sprawling structures built in alcoves beneath the mesa tops, with likely uses including habitation, food storage, ceremony and ritual. More than 600 cliff dwellings are scattered throughout the park, though they represent just a fraction of the more than 5,000 known archeological sites within park boundaries.
Amid this archaeological treasure trove, Sun Temple stands out.

A crypt discovered in Mexico held over 400 jars of ashes. The gruesome kicker was that rubber and roots found along with the ashes corroborated written documents revealing Maya human remains were used to make the rubber balls of the sacred Mesoamerican Ball Game.

Amazing news. I mean, we knew they existed, because of titles found with the names of unknown sun temples on them, but to actually have found one is just wonderful

Top Famous Temples in India
The Akshardham Temple, which has 20,000 figurines of Indian spiritual luminaries, nine intricate domes, twenty quadrangle spires, and more than 234 beautifully carved pillars, is one of the main sights in Delhi. The intricately sculpted honey-colored Somnath temple on the western edge of the state is said to be the birthplace of the first of India's twelve holy jyotirlingas. There is a legend that Shiva appeared as a flaming column of light. The Sun Temple is a striking physical monument of the Hindu Kingdom of Orissa during the reign of Narasimha Deva I in the thirteenth century (AD 1238–1264). Its grandeur, elegance, and architecture serve as symbols of the era's dominant moral values as well as the strength and stability of the Ganga Empire. Known for its whole golden dome, the Golden Temple is one of the most sacred Sikh pilgrimage destinations. Situated on a 67-foot square of marble, The Mandir is a two-story edifice consisting of two levels. Maharaja Ranjit Singh used almost four hundred kilograms of gold leaf to build the top part of the palace.
