Did a drawing of what Kira Kalveria, the secondary Jedi protagonist alongside James Lunagazer, looks like in the Hyperforce Reignition crossover fanfic universe, alongside the Monkey who will be a major supporting character in her development, the reckless red-maverick himself, Sparx.

I did consider having Otto, given that he and Kira share the same colour, and he was the first Monkey she took an instant liking to upon meeting, (barring the massive freak out they had when they understood each other without a translator.) But the more I thought about it, her personality more or less meshes more with Sparx.

I'd imagine Sparx would start to see some of his own traits in Kira, and so he'd begin to mellow back his reckless nature and become a sort of father-figure to the young Jedi Apprentice sort of like Chiro and Antauri's dynamic, (Not to say it won't be difficult, given Kira's impulsive and reckless attitude!)

I'll probably do one for James Lunagazer and the other members of Flarren Squadron who join the two Jedi in their adventures on Shuggazoom overtime as soon as I figure out the characters.

Kira's design is one that I actually tweaked from an old design, evoking her Green Jedi heritage and her energetic wise-cracker attitude, including gold shoulder armor which was inspired from the Mighty Morphin' Green Power Ranger, the Jedi Credit was rough due to it using the old Jedi Order symbol, but I got there.

But if anyone is knowledgeable about the old Legends lore, you may have noticed Kira is an apprentice, and Jedi Credits are usually given to those in the Corellian Jedi who ascend to the Rank of Knight, there's a reason for that which will be explored later...

I actually did consider making Kira an Togruta species to set her apart from her TC OC counterpart, but I felt it would have been too similar to Anakin and Ahsoka with how she and James are intially, though another Togruta character might appear later down the line, but to be blunt it won't be Ahsoka as she's straight up dead in this universe.

I don't hate her but she has been getting over-used in Star Wars, so yeah, and this universe is a mix of both Canon and Legends, at least from what knowledge I do have, but it won't come up much as I decided to leave that vague so that it could fit in either universe, and for if I decide to make a prequel series.

HAPPY 3 YEAR ANNIVERSARY, MBK AU!!!

My Brother's Keeper turned 3 this past week on September 17th! It still absolutely blows my mind that my little OC story got so big and complex. This past year I didn't get to update as often as I wanted, mostly because of my new fic Brave Blossom which took up a huge chunk of my brain the first half of the year XD But lots of exciting things still happened for Amber! This past year MBK made its way through season 2 and right now we're smack dab in the middle of the I, Chiro saga (which is a huge milestone!) Amber has had a lot of character growth, and I'm so proud of her.

Speaking of milestones! MBK has gotten almost 5500 hits on Ao3 which is absolutely insane to me. Thank you everyone, all my readers, commenters, kudos-ers, and especially people who drew fanart! Seeing fanart of my girl Amber makes my heart so happy. AND A HUGE THANK YOU especially to my beta readers who are the absolute best people on the planet for all your encouragement and feedback, it truly means the world to me. We've got a long way to go but I know we can do it! 😊💙

To celebrate MBK's 3rd anniversary, I'm opening my askbox for questions for MBK Amber and Chiro, as well as questions for me about the writing or story for MBK! I will reblog a few questionnaires with ideas, with the tag ask mbk sibs or you can send in questions of your own!

Forest AU?

Working on a little AU, (title pending), some sketches of what's to come and maybe an upcoming mini comic... Once I figure out how to draw water and make it look good, as well as backgrounds (cries), then I can put it up for y'all to eat.

Basically, the story I have is, what if the monkeys weren't cyborgs and were just 'regular' monkeys living in the forest/jungle/wild. They find a lil baby, Chiro, and raise him as a part of their clan but Chiro might find that he's probably a little different than those around him...

He never hated his phone more than at that moment.

It was pressed up against his ear so tightly that the heat from the internal battery was right up against it.

The team was quiet, concerned as they watched him pace up and down the command center. The moment he had been allowed to leave the Med Bay, he grabbed it to call Mila.

"I should've done it." Sparx whispered to Nova as they watched Chiro walk by them, once more. "I was just so worried I-'

"It's not your fault." Nova whispered back. "Who could've predicted this?"

Chiro closed his eyes, listening to the ringing.

This wasn't normal.

"You got Mila!" Her voice cheerfully called out as the phone went to voicemail. "Sorry if you missed me, leave me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!"

He let out a frustrated growl as he pulled the phone away, hanging up before dialing again.

This wasn't right.

His heart sank with each ring.

"Maybe her phone is dead?" Otto suggested. "She might've forgotten to charge it."

Chiro shook his head.

"No, that never happens. She hasn't forgotten to charge it in seven years…" His voice cracked a little. "Mila, please, just pick it up…"

His breath hitched in his throat.

Was this what he put her through?

His heart sank as he thought back to that first night.

How she was crying, running through the outskirts, looking for him.

The way she looked at him like he might disappear again.

I'm so sorry…

I'm so sorry, Mila…

Please, just pick up the phone…

Please…

"Please…" He pleaded. "Please…"

"You got Mila-!"

Chiro let out a frustrated yell, throwing his phone towards the wall opposite to him.

This chapter, was genuinely a joy to write when I did. Normally combat is one of my weakest things to write, but I feel like this fict really pushed me to get back to something that I struggled with.

It was really fun getting to write these guys in a proper fight.

I'm unsure if I talked about the rest of the gem group (other then Antauri, Ghost, and a mention of Hermes.) so I might be repeating myself.

But to begin with, the whole group are the colors of their canon selves so are considered off colors (most at least.) . Being off colors and various other reasons resulted in them being given to Opalized Bone (long story short on Opalized bone, a gem that power is close to diamonds and can infect organic life so is considered important. )

With Antauri's (posing as a Tourmaline at the time) and Ghost's help, the group escape and crash on Shuggazoom. I had a different list of gems for some of the group before but liking some of the new decisions on Gibson, Otto and Nova's.

Gibson: originally a Peridot but I thought it be more interesting if he was a sapphire that wasn't good at seeing into the future but very good at science. Of course, that wasn't expected of a sapphire. His "playing" with science work was mostly ignored up until he caused a really big accident with some of his work.

Otto: At first a Bismuth, but I'm kind of thinking he's a Rose Quartz that Gibson accidently unbubbled? I just like the idea of Otto having a lot of hair that has curls.

Nova: I'm struggling between a ruby or some sort of Quartz.

Sprx: a Nephrite that crashed a important gems ship (only because there was a emergency where doing so saved every gem on board. )

Mandarin: a high up the chain of command for opalized bone, Spessartine (chosen because it's nick name id Mandarin Garnet) and the one Antauri was made for.

Chiro: the first person the gem group meet on Shuggazoom. Gibson claims his future sigh powers don't work well yet he was the one who directed them in the direction to meet Chiro.

It turns out to the surprise of everyone, Chiro included, that Chiro can "disrupt" corruptions from Opalized Bone, freeing what ever organic thing is trapped in it.
