I did a Felix solo run of Fire Emblem Three Houses, it was pretty fun. The rules were:

•other units can enter combat, they just can’t deal damage

•other units can take actions like using assistance gambits and trading

•reunion at dawn doesn’t count, i don’t think it’s physically possible to do that chapter without byleth getting stuck in the starting area and Felix spawns when you get to a physical location on the map, so :b

it was really fun and i would definitely do it again

Three Houses Bingo

I'm back on my bullshit with another bingo card. This time, Fire Emblem: Three Houses! How this works: Send me a character/ship for one of the bingo spots. You can go into as much detail as you like regarding the prompt as you'd like (will go into more detail myself in a minute). If we get a bingo, I have to write a fic using all five prompts. The same will go if we get a blackout! I will try to use as many prompts as I can in one fic. 😂

Let's clarify a couple of the prompts.

Crest Swap: I'll leave it up to your discretion who gets what Crest. Go ahead and give the Crestless Crests as well, or take Crests away.

Role Swap: For example, Hilda might be the crown princess of Leister after her family was killed on a diplomatic mission to Almyra. Claude ended up saving her life, so she in turn saved him by brining him back home with her. Go Crazy with it.

Game Change: Instead of being in the world of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, it could be set in the world of Persona 5 and use those mechanics. Use any game, but I will veto games I'm unfamiliar with, unless you're willing to discuss plot with me.

New Traitor: Instead of Edelgard going against the church, maybe Dimitri is tired of Rhea's interference in Fhearghus as well as the church's role in Duscar and decides it's time for the Kingdom to remove the "Holy" part of its title.

Tragedy: Bad things happen! Angst. This one won't have a happy ending.

Random: I will roll a die to see which prompt gets used.

Student AU: Byleth is not a teacher, but instead a student.

Some of those might be self explanatory, but just wanted to clear those up.

Title: A Branch Amongst the Trees

Summary: Felix does not know what to do with a child. Sylvain might.

Lord Rodrigue Achille Fraldarius had a bastard child. A young son, to be exact. When Felix found out, he stared at his mother, Lady Amelia, in a daze.

"He was born about ten years ago," his mother said with a shrug. "During that time after the Tragedy. Your father…spent some time in Fhirdiad."

Mere months after the war’s end and Felix was landed with this.

“And you knew,” he replied, eyes narrowed, “all this time?”

His mother’s face was unreadable. Unlike his father, she was small. Her hair was coifed and dark brown in contrast to Felix’s blueish-black. But she had an air to her that most did not have, the confidence of a noblewoman who did not trifle with nonsense.

“Your father was an honorable man,” she said, unfazed. “He told me immediately.”

“Honorable,” Felix spat.

She did not flinch when she said the next words, only looking at him with the same blazing intent that she had leveled upon him as a child when she told him, “You are the Fraldarius heir now.”

“I want you to help me raise him,” she remarked. “His mother, Erika, died in the war. She was a florist in Fhirdiad. When Cornelia took over the capital, she had no choice but to leave. We had been supporting them in secret for years, but she wanted to raise Elias herself. She had no relatives. Her neighbor came to our door in her stead.”

Felix clenched his fists at his sides.

“You will treat him as your brother,” she commanded.

And, like a fool, Felix obliged.

He found himself days later, staring at nine-year-old Elias in the face, not knowing what to do with him. He looked just like his older brother, Glenn.

He spent a week trying to figure out if he liked fish over skewered meats, sweets over sour things. Yet another if he liked people.

Sylvain came over on a call from Fhirdiad to notify Felix that they were both summoned to the castle for a meeting with the Alliance, only to find him having a silent battle over swordsmanship with a child.

"I'll help you raise him," said Sylvain with an easy nod. That irritated Felix to no end.

"No," he replied and left it at that.

But Sylvain had found Elias in the library that afternoon with a stupid grin on his face. He gestured to the great oak doors and jumped up and down like an excited puppy. He tapped Felix’s shoulder and whispered, “Look.”

There was Elias engrossed in an adventure tale.

They discovered Elias liked stories like the one about the Tree of Life Glenn used to read to him. (“It’s like this giant tree, Felix! So big that it holds up different worlds!”) He and Glenn used to come up with other ways the stories could go, like if the legendary King Loog was a ruler of one of those worlds. Elias was not like that though. He liked stories without embellishments.

Elias would blabber about Loog’s most trusted friend, Kyphon. He would examine the way Felix tilted his sword in the training yard and liken it to their shared ancestor. Felix found it annoying. Sylvain indulged him. He tried to ignore the way he would soften when Sylvain crouched to his younger brother’s level and talk to him like Glenn used to.

When it was time to travel to the castle, Lady Amelia insisted they take Elias with them as a learning experience.

It turned out to be more of a learning experience than any of them anticipated.

“That’s the child,” Felix heard a maid whisper. He growled as he walked by. “They say he was conceived one drunken night after Lord Rodrigue found out about the murder of his elder son and King Lambert. With a commoner.”

“Glenn…such a fine young man,” another said. “Died much too young in the Tragedy. And the king...they were both such close friends.”

He felt the rage boil inside him.

He stormed the king’s study before his duties began and a complaint for the head maid ready. He complained about Elias and his mother, about his father, and about Glenn. He complained the loudest about Sylvain.

"Maybe you need someone to help you," suggested Byleth. "A partner."

At first, he scowled and watched his former professor walk towards Dimitri. She motioned toward a neglected stack of papers on his desk, and the king rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish way Felix had not seen before. A smile graced his lips.

“That can’t be it,” Felix asserted.

Still, he had to check on Elias. No child should endure that kind of pain. Even Felix was not that cruel.

He strode to the courtyard and saw Sylvain talking to Elias. He hid behind a pillar.

"It's not...father I'm scared I'd disappoint," said Elias, voice wobbly. "It's Felix. What if what they’re saying is true? That I’m a disappointment?"

"All this? That's not normal," replied Sylvain with a stern voice. "You don't need to live up to that. We lived through a war. He doesn’t want you to experience that. He’d tell you that the most honorable thing to do is live for yourself."

Felix rushed away, the truth of what was said simmering like hot fire. He was angry. He was not. He was confused.

How could Sylvain know that?

But—

He turned back and marched, only to nearly crash into Sylvain.

He cleared his throat. “I’ll take you up on your offer,” he said as if the admission did not terrify him. As if it did not change him.

But Sylvain grinned. He looped an arm around his shoulders, and they walked out of the yard together. His face burned. Elias found them and latched onto Sylvain’s hand.

Like Glenn, thought Felix reluctantly. Like a proper family. A new branch amongst the trees.

He turned to Sylvain. His breath caught when he gave him the same smile Dimitri had given Byleth. Soft, gentle.

Felix’s heart pounded.

Damn it.

Non-Byleth Gay/Lesbian Paired Endings

Reposted cus tumblr ate the previous post??? For some reason??

I’ve seen lots of people on tumblr who don’t know about this yet so Reminder that paired endings between students in Three Houses are a thing, ranging from the expected hetero options to wonderfully gay pairs.

Without spoiling the content of the supports or the text of the endings, here’s some of the gayest/most sapphic paired endings I’ve found so far:

Guys:

Caspar/Linhardt: Ikesoren. They’re pretty much Ikesoren except much more lighthearted and with this Soren being taller than his Ike lol. I’m pretty sure these two are a deliberate nod to Ikesoren with how similar their endings are.

Caspar/Ashe: Although this one reads a bit different cus of the wording, I almost kinda wonder if Ashe is the “Ranulf” to Caspar’s “Ike”.

Dimitri/Dedue: Beautifully worded and wholesome, probably the most openly gay male pair the game has. The ending has a touch of sadness in it but is still super soft and sweet, brimming with tenderness and devotion. Their A support has some very touching, precious moments as well. Highly recommend these supports + ending.

Dimitri/Felix: Overall kinda angsty and intense with somber, darker supports but still a good and well written ending, just a bit melancholic in its implications. Even with the angst of the text, their joint ending expands a bit on how deep Felix’s softer feelings for Dimitri are beyond what their supports show (without having Felix’s tsundereness getting in the way) and implies an extremely deep bond was made over the years that was obvious to everyone around them.

Sylvain/Felix: Needs special requirements to happen but if fulfilled, its probably the most overtly gay of the male paired endings after Dimitri/Dedue. The A support is split up in two parts (so it’s basically a branch with A and A+ supports) and the second part really pleasantly surprised me with how cute and heartfelt it was. The wording in their ending slide gives this pair a very “fated/meant to be” vibe that not even explicitly romantic hetero endings give so I definitely recommend trying this one too.

Hubert/Ferdinand: One I personally did not expect at all but boy does it really deliver. They get so close to each other that it’s even mentioned that Edelgard herself feels jealous of how great their relationship is. Their supports are adorable and they get all flustered and cute around each other. Very quality gay, highly recommend as well.

Girls:

Dorothea/Petra: Sweet paired ending in which they are very openly girlfriends and they don’t give a fuck about what anyone thinks of their relationship. Dorothea is a bi icon and honestly pretty much all of her pairings with women are just good food.

Dorothea/Edelgard: Not Dorothea’s most sapphic ending but definitely one of Edelgard’s. Dorothea lays it on thick in their supports and makes her crush on Edelgard very obvious.

Dorothea/Manuela: Age gap. They end up very openly in love and very happy together though.

Edelgard/Manuela: Age gap. Still one of Edelgard’s most overt paired endings with women that makes sure to specify neither she nor Manuela ever married men.

Mercedes/Anette: These two have around a 6 year age gap and they’re more like just BFFs before the timeskip maybe because of it but it’s made pretty obvious that they end up having a much deeper relationship later on in life.

Catherine/Shamir: Their ending together is not overtly open about the nature of their relationship BUT their supports are seriously sapphic af so with that in mind, I think they absolutely are in lesbians together in their ending and not simply as business partners.

There’s maybe more paired endings like these but these are all the ones I know of that are the gayest. Share/reblog to sail a ship and you can add more in the notes if you know of more.
