synopsis : jimin has a bad day. luckily, you have hot chocolate filled mugs and face masks.

YOU: poor baby ): he had a headache this morning it didn't go away?

The sound of the front door opening brought your attention away from your phone and the stove. With a smile, you turned the oven off, gathering two mugs and pouring steaming milk into them. Jimin came into view, a frown on his face as he dimmed the living room lights and adjusted the tv's volume.

"Hi, my love." you greeted him quietly. He only nodded, frown deepening into a pout as he all but collapsed onto the couch. "Made some hot coco for us."

Handing Jimin his favorite mug, he blew on the drink softly before taking a sip. Letting out an appreciative hum, he leaned his head on your shoulder, being sure to not jostle his cup or yours. "Thank you."

"Bad day?" He only nodded his head at the question, letting out a noise of discomfort as you moved your arms. Taking his mug, you placed his drink and your own on the table in front of you. Gently, you pushed Jimin so that his head laid in your lap now. You began to rub his head soothingly. "Your headache didn't go away?"

Shaking his head, Jimin seemed to curl himself further into your tummy. The sight of him in pain made you upset, knowing how debilitating headaches could be. You asked another question softly, tangling your fingers into his hair. "Did you take any medicine?"

"Hasn't kicked in yet," he whispered. The room fell silent then as you continued to brush your fingers through his hair, rubbing it occasionally to ease his aches. Jimin sat up briefly to take a few sips of his hot chocolate before settling back down again.

When Jimin awoke, you were humming to yourself softly. Absentmindedly, your fingers were still doing their soothing ministrations, attempting to lull Jimin back to sleep. He stretched lightly but ultimately stayed put. "How long was I asleep?"

"Not even an hour," you informed. Jimin nodded and the difference in his mood was already noticeable. "Feel any better?"

"Loads." Sitting up, Jimin stretched fully this time before taking his hot chocolate and drinking it. It'd cooled down considerably and he thought about chugging it — he didn't actually do it, he only thought about it. Leaning over, he planted a sugar coated kiss to your cheek. "Thank you."

You leaned forward to grab your own mug and take a few sips. "For what? I didn't really do anything."

"You did enough." Jimin grinned before pressing multiple kisses to your cheeks. You grumbled and fussed but he could still see the smile you couldn't hide. Finally happy with the affection he'd given you, Jimin spotted a box on the table in front of you. "Oh, did your new face masks come?"

"Mhm," you cheered. He handed you the box and scissors, watching as you opened it and began to dig through the numerous sheet masks you ordered. "There are some clay based ones in here, too. Want to try one?"

Jimin scooted closer, hooking his chin on your shoulder to look through the masks. Grabbing a green tea one, he shook it playfully before whispering, "the chosen one."

Letting out a giggle, you gave the masks another shuffle before choosing the one you wanted to use. The two of you waddled your way to the bathroom, washing your faces quickly, eager to put the masks on.

Lightly taking the mask from your hands, Jimin ripped it open and applied it to your face. He smoothed it over your cheeks and pulled it down to your chin, leaving a kiss on your lips once he was done. You copied his actions, taking his own mask and brushing it over his face until it settled nicely.

Relaxing until your timer went off was easy with Jimin. He rubbed your head as you did his earlier, singing quietly to himself as he did so. Your mugs were in the sink and new drinks had found themselves in their place. Right before your timer rang, Jimin had convinced you to slow dance with him.

You twirled around the kitchen and then the living room and your bedroom until you ended up in the bathroom, ready for the sheet masks to be off. The both of you rubbed the leftover serum into your faces, applying a moisturizer soon after.

"Bed time for us, baby," Jimin cooed as he squeezed your cheeks. You puckered your lips to make a fish face, smile coming out disfigured as he pecked your lips. "Ready to sleep?"

Tucked in a warm, soft bed was nice. But, being wrapped in Jimin's arms was nicer and you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. He took care of you and you took care of him in return.

Sometimes, it really was that simple.
