-look, I hate exorbitant displays of wealth as much as the next perennially broke person (whose martyr of a landlord apparently has no choice but to raise the rent astronomically again! does the poor man’s suffering ever end!?)...But in the interest of FASHUN, I like to take a night off, anddd if the purpose of the Met Gala and all its afterparties isn’t to give a voice to the voiceless, i.e the amateur fashion girlies, then that would make this year all about Karl Lagerfeld and it is each and every one of our civilian duties to prevent that from happening! Monday 1st May 2023 was a celebration of three things, 1). Choupette the cat, 2). Anne Hathaway in custom Versace, 3). Emily Ratajkowski in custom Dilara Fındıkoğlu..and all the following fashion moments too-

"Born Into Trouble as the Sparks Fly Upward." The Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band 2001, Constellation (Bandcamp)

TAMARA: “You have a baby? And you’re not even helping to take care of her?!”
CLAIRE: *scoffs* “Nope.”
JARED: “Shut up, Claire! Tamara, it’s not what you think.”
TAMARA: “And then you tell the mother of said baby to shut up?! You know what? I can’t do this. I knew I shouldn’t have gotten carried away with you…”

Marla invites her and Jared’s college friend Tina Traveller and her young kids to a fish BBQ. They hoped for a bigger gathering but Tina was the only adult available at the time. Veronica, the grumpy gremlin that she is, isn’t too friendly with Irving and Tamara, but getting to know other kids is still good for her.

so,,,,, jack jenna and brandon are all leaving the store permanently to go to a different JJ's location. this is the worst thing ever pretty much
#there's a 50/50 chance that Mike will be at the other store too instead of mine#what the fuck!! im sorry what the fuck!!!#area manager jared is a bastard for doing this#and johannah quit so good riddance i guess but we're left with these random new hires i don't know#the whole store will be full of strangers now#this is. really terrible#i would've been fine if they had taken jack or jenna or mike#but All of them? what?????#maybe we'll keep mike. that would be good. I'll remain composed if we keep mike#but this is really god damn terrible#I'm going to give jack and jenna going away presents#i got jack some cool dnd dice and jenna this fancy mug that says libra on it and comes with a spoon#(i wasnt sure what to get her lol but she likes astrology a lot so. ok. it's a nice mug so i think it'll do. idk whatever)#but this is really all falling apart#jack only told me and tamara so far he said he didnt want to tell everyone because he was worried that people would panic#and start quitting#and tbh. i am tempted to jump ship#i was anyway until he said that and i was like well ok i guess i should stick around#someone has to train all these new hires and welcome the new managers to the store i guess. might as well be me.#(and there are too many unknowns in switching jobs that would be a whole ordeal. it's on the table if this goes downhill but not yet)#I've worked with the new gm before she was our second assitant manager a long time ago#but the question of who our new first assistant will be is more pressing because that's the person I'll be working with#god i want it to be mike so bad but it probably will just be some rando
