In early Boreal Trio days — like mid-to-late January early — there's this one scene where Ranboo asks Emerald Duo if they're going to kick him out, fully thinking that was what was going to happen, and Technoblade and Philza say "no".

And then they have almost the exact same conversation again, over two months later in May, when Ranboo is caught eavesdropping on the first Syndicate meet up. Ranboo asks if Emerald Duo if they're going to kill him, and they both once again rush out a whole series of "no"s.

I just like the parallels and I think it says a lot about their relationship, how Ranboo still hadn't quite internalized that he was more than just some kid to Emduo.

something that i will always remember of technoblade is how he was kind just for the sake of it.

i will remember him claiming the monopoly sound was too loud for him to hear wilbur when he spoke of techno staying up all night to comfort him when he was sick. i will remember him taking the time to add watermarks for his artists when they themselves forgot. i will remember niki and sophie saying how he always somehow made sure they never felt excluded or neglected and how he would hate it, it would embarrass him when they spoke of his kindness publicly. i will remember him personally dming ponk to thank them for sending a 45-minute video of someone feeding hotdogs to raccoons in chat and timestamping his favorite part. i will remember his love for the people who created for him, how he would keep his mentions on for everyone before his fanart tag was formed and would just scroll and scroll to make sure not to miss any art someone made for him. i will remember half his friends and peers having some kind of a story of him reaching out to them during tough days, reassuring them, believing in them, making them feel loved.

i will remember him in every act of kindness i receive and i will remember him during times in my life when i will need to remind myself to be kind despite it all.

MCC has added a monument to Techno in the MCC lobby!

Techno’s plan for the Dream SMP was to have his main character “Technoblade” go off on a training arc while he plays a new character named “Cyberknife” who loves government in the new world of the Dream SMP that can be accessed via the special portal. He was going to involve as many smaller creators on the Dream SMP as he could and the Syndicate minus Techno would investigate this new character for anarchy related reasons!

Some updates

- Techno will be receiving the Courage Award from the Sarcoma Foundation of America in September for his dedication to the cause. You can read about it here.

- A Mojang Community Manager on reddit has confirmed that Mojang is thinking of ways to honour Techno, but without any details as to how they will be doing so. Link to their reddit comment.

- Techno’s channel hit 12 million subscribers on YouTube! That means he’s overtaken Tommy again.

- Phil has built a monument to Techno in his hardcore world. It consists of a diamond sword rammed into an island, with Techno’s cape hung from the hilt. A Friendship Emerald hangs from one side of the sword’s hand guard. Techno’s crown sits around where the sword meets the earth, with Phil having tried to replicate the scuffedness of the gems as best he could. A trident named “Technoblade Never Dies” is hung in an item frame on the crown. There is a bell on an emerald block and 2 pigs tethered next to the monument.

Watching a random collection of Technoblade clips and I just got jump scared by Etoiles? I mean I guess it's not impossible they could have encountered each other but I never really thought about it. Looked like they were on the same team too. Video has no timestamps and doesn't list the clip origins so no idea what the context was.

So far, I've gone through over 15 hours worth of Technoblade MCC and Minecraft Monday VODS, and I'm compiling highlights which I'll add subtitles to before posting. I'm working on the MCC 5 highlights at the moment, and 2 of the 5 videos (I'm trying to keep them around 2 minutes each) are already done, so I'll share those tomorrow / over the weekend probably.

HOWEVER: one video I've been transcribing / noting timestamps for has been deleted because the uploader deleted their channel. I hadn't saved the video yet (and I foolishly didn't make a note of the title or whether it was an MCC or Minecraft Monday VOD) so I'm at a complete loss.

Can any fellow Technoblade fans help me find which event it was? I've listed some key quotes below, as well as the original video link:

Summary: Carson was just bullying Techno as a joke, which he did warn Techno he was gonna do ahead of time, but it gets very awkward very quickly and Techno hates it and asks Carson to stop but he just doesn't stop. IIRC it involved eating food on call while ignoring Techno, spamming Techno with soundboard messages, most famously with "Hey, Technoblade!" which became a meme, and trying to teamkill Techno.

Techno spends most of the tournament either doing solo commentary or hopping from VC to VC talking to other teams rather than Carson.

That's all you need to know, IMO.

I’ve just finished and published this edit. It’s of Phil’s December 22, 2020 VOD, which was originally about 4.75 hours long and which I got down to about 2.75 hours, but which people might want to watch less of, depending on who all they’re interested in.

In this video, Philza is under house arrest and builds a basement. Ghostbur has him pet-sit Friend and is anxious. Tubbo visits and makes him wear a curse of binding ankle monitor, and tries but fails to make him wear a matching helmet, while Ghostbur tries to help Phil and threatens Tubbo. Tubbo takes him to visit the guardian farm and then back to his house while tries to break his boots and messages Technoblade. Techno sneaks into his basement and fights Tubbo, and they escape together. They cure zombie villagers at Techno's snow house with Ranboo. They go back to New L'Manburg and have some more lighthearted fights with people who are around, for content, and then Techno shows Phil his wither skull room.

However, this video has wildly mixed levels of people being in character. The first ~50 minutes have everyone solidly in character, but then Ghostbur logs off and cc!Wilbur stays in call, but still affects the things that happen. Tubbo spends a while going in and out of character while showing the guardian farm, but Phil stays in character the whole time, while messaging Techno. cc!Tommy joins vc and also affects the plot, especially by accidentally distracting Tubbo from Phil’s escape attempts. Near the end, there’s some lighthearted filler content violence, except it also has Fundy having characterizing interactions with Phil and Techno about the house arrest and attempted murder. Depending on what characters and types of interactions you are interested in, I would recommend checking the timestamps to decide which parts of that you might actually want to watch, although the first 50 minutes are pretty solidly in character.

Also before people joined vc, Phil had a lot of interactions with other characters in chat, while leaving text-to-speech donations on. I did my best to mute them where I could, because I found that they sometimes led to confusion about whether the plot happening was in the audio channel or just the text onscreen. I’ve also started trying to zoom in on chat (leaving faces visible) more often when important things are happening there, because at default size, it can be pretty illegible when someone is watching at low-resolution because of bad internet or not enough storage space. I did leave the voice call unmuted when there was distracted out-of-character conversation happening aloud and secret in-character conversation happening over chat, because the voice conversation was important context for the success of the secrecy.

Wilbur: No, I’ve never heard him this particular (passionate?) about Minecraft!

Philza: Oh, really?

Wilbur: Yeah, he was like... he went (*in a deeper voice*) “this is great”, like that. And he was genuine, like, excited. And I was like, “Oh my god, I’m onto something.”
