Okay because it was briefly mentioned in this post speculating on Roy's parents I really want to hear people's thoughts on Keeley's parents/childhood and why she had no prior family obligations on (Sexy) Christmas!

Similarly to Roy we only get very brief mentions of their existence in canon (and they're notably just about her mum, never her dad):

"I did used to worry I was gonna end up like my mum. She spent years tirelessly working at the same company just for a man to take all the credit. She wasn't brave enough to dream big. So I decided to do things very differently" - Keeley "We didn't open [the champagne] when your mum moved back up North" - Roy

The headcanons I've got are:

Keeley's parents are divorced and she isn't particularly close with either of them. Her mum irritates her literally every time they see one another. Her dad has a new wife and (step)kids he treats as his "real family," and Keeley is always the afterthought; she rarely sees him.

Her mum is extremely conventional and thinks Keeley needs to fit into that same box. She was appalled by Keeley's choice to do nude modeling, refused to talk to her because of it (which Keeley was thrilled by, and once her mum realized that she got even more upset and immediately started calling Keeley up again) and has never treated Keeley's modeling career as a real career.

Keeley moved out of her childhood home asap, like age 17/18 after taking her first modeling gigs. She rented a cheap flat with a bunch of other girls.

Keeley has made some of her choices in part just to spite her, whether its subconscious or not. For instance, if her mum was complaining about her first topless photoshoot, where her nipples were strategically covered by liquor bottles, Keeley made sure the next shoot she signed on for was tits out, no coverage. When her mum complained about that she did full nudes, etc.

When Keeley started working for AFC Richmond it was a backhanded "finally you have a REAL job, thank goodness" instead of "congratulations, I'm so proud of you." everything with her mother is like this

It is even worse with relationships. Her mum thinks Keeley needs to settle down, get married and have kids in that order - none of which are things Keeley has ever intended to do with her life.

her mum was thrilled when Keeley introduced her to Roy because "finally my daughter is in a serious relationship and they will give me grandkids soon" she completely dotes over Roy because of this while asking increasingly intrusive, prodding questions about the status of their relationship. Roy of course sees right through this but is trying his best to stay polite because this is Keeley's mother. The whole thing slowly infuriates Keeley until she's had enough and abruptly informs them they're leaving. this is how roykeeley have the "I never want kids" conversation very early on in their relationship

with holidays like Christmas, at first Keeley would use the other parent as the ~reason~ she couldn't be at theirs for the holiday. Like, she'd tell her mum "sorry, i told dad I'd go to his" and she'd tell her dad the opposite. of course this only works a few times before it's "why do you spend every holiday with the other parent instead of me," and which point Keeley remembered that wait, actually she doesn't give a fuck! and straight up told her mother she isn't coming because she doesn't want to and already has plans with her boyfriend/girlfriend (whoever it was at the time) 🤷‍♀️ slay queen

Keeley is out and proud and always has been, but her mum treats her being bi as another lie she's telling for attention, even though Keeley has literally brought girlfriends home to introduce to her mother before. No matter what she does, her mum maintains that Keeley is only doing it to piss her off and basically doesn't believe her or acknowledge her sexuality, which is understandably very upsetting to Keeley

Bonus ot3: Not to make everything about ot3 but I have a very distinct scene in my head where Keeley introduces Jamie and Roy as her boyfriends and her mum is forcibly polite to Jamie (whom she is meeting for the first time) but then pulls Keeley aside to be like "enough with your stunts, Keeley, how could you put Roy through this nonsense, after he took you back and all, this is how you repay him, by dating someone else?" (because 1. she's adamantly ignoring the part where Keeley told her all three of them were dating, royxjamie included and 2. she acts like Keeley obviously did something to "cause" Roy breaking up with her). Keeley for once is totally speechless and all the retorts she wants to and would usually say die in her throat and she just wants to cry because she's tired of this. Roy and Jamie overhear the conversation and Roy steps in like "okay, that's enough, we're leaving." Keeley has a breakdown in the car before they've even gotten out of the driveway and after that she basically cuts off contact for a long while with her mother, with Roy & Jamie's full support.

・You were hesitant with the relationship because you didn’t want an immature partner. But although he can be childish at times, he really developed as a person. 

・He’s accountable for his actions - and actually went and apologised to everyone he bullied at school

・You made him watch the Prince of Egypt and he response throughout was “woahh babe, babe what-” “um...why aren’t more people talking about this?” 

・And he basically cried throughout the movie, especially at the end. And then he asked what happens to them after they escape and you’re like ... “babe c’mon. It’s - they’ve literally written...”

・Actually really likes the show Outlander, like ... a lot. To the point that he binge watched it and wanted to dress up as Jamie Fraser for Halloween

Summary: Headcanons for beloved Dani Rojas planning and taking the reader on a sweet picnic date.

Warnings: Alcohol mentions and very minimal consumption (no picnic date is complete without it!).

I think we can all agree that Dani would definitely be a bit of a hopeless romantic in a relationship.

So, picnic dates on a sunny day are his absolute favourite.

He’s insistent on bringing all the food because he wants to treat you as much as possible.

When you ask if you can bring some cupcakes and champagne, he’s telling you that he’s already picked them up.

You admit defeat eventually. Dani is too committed to the date being completely perfect.

He definitely packs too much food.

He makes the mistake of going to Costco and getting huge trays of things, and then rather than taking some out and saving some for later, he just brings it all.

You agree to meet at Hyde Park.

I imagine it’s literally all he’d talk about all week to everyone.

Like, constantly asking you if you’re excited, telling you that he’s excited.

He even asks Ted if he thinks he has enough food, and Ted just nods with a slight look of horror as Dani shows him a picture of a trolley with enough food to feed a family for a week.

The day comes around, and you get the tube in.

You were meant to meet Dani at the station, but he’d messaged saying that he had to get a taxi because he had ‘overpacked’.

You were a bit scared to see what on earth that meant.

Dani was already there when you arrived, sat cross-legged on the grass and looking around like a lost puppy.

“Dani,” you called, his head turning to you.

His eyes lit up, beautiful grin spreading as he pushed himself off the ground and embraced you in a hug.

“Mi amor,” greeted Dani, pecking your cheek. You noted how he was practically vibrating with excitement as he ushered you to the red plaid blanket he’d spread across the grass.

As you settled, Dani pulled over, much to your surprise, a large grey suitcase.

You watched in amazement as he opened it, pulling out large plastic containers of various foods and putting them down in between you.

“Is… Is there anyone else coming?” you asked, because surely you had to be hosting a get together to have this much food.

Dani looked baffled at the question. “To our picnic date? No!”

You laughed, cupping his cheek and smiling. “You’re too sweet.”

Dani beamed at you and then went back to sorting the food.

When it was laid out, he grabbed a smaller carry-on size case from behind him, unzipping it to reveal an array of blankets and pillows, some plates and glasses nestled between them.

“Do you want another blanket, mi amor? I packed every single one I could find.”

“I’m good, thank you,” you grinned. Your brows furrowed when you noticed Dani was still sat against the grass. “Don’t you want one?”

“No, I like to connect with nature,” said Dani simply. You chose not to question him.

Minutes later, your glasses were filled halfway with champagne and your plates were piled with delicious food.

Dani had moved to sit next to you, an arm looped around your waist and your head resting back against his shoulder as he talked about training in between bites.

I can picture him trying to recreate that scene from HSM 2 where they throw strawberries into each other’s mouths.

He misses every time. It’s a good thing he plays football and not a sport that relies on aiming by throwing.

You just have the sweetest afternoon, snacking and talking about everything in between sweet kisses and gazing at clouds.

Dani always throws a bit of food to any bird that comes near you even if you tell him to stop so you don’t attract a flock.

He is too giving!

When afternoon starts turning to evening and it starts getting chilly, Dani wraps you in one of the fleece blankets he brought and then begins packing up the food.

You watch adoringly as he gives a tray of cupcakes to a family sat nearby, Dani grinning as the young kids reach for them straight away.

Dani packs everything up and then you’re ready to go, the carry-on slotted on top of the large case for Dani to drag because God forbid he let you carry anything.

Just as you go to leave, it starts to trickle with rain, and within seconds, courtesy of the Great British weather, it is absolutely pouring down.

Anyone sane would make a run for it, but you and Dani especially are far from it.

“This is perfect!” exclaims Dani, letting go of the handle as you toss your blanket aside. “It is like a scene from a movie!”

You’re both laughing gleefully as you embrace each other, Dani’s arms wrapped securely around your waist as he spins you.

You don’t care that the rain is making you near freezing, nor does Dani. You’ll worry about that when the moments over.

Dani hadn’t planned for rain, but he was grateful that it came down regardless. He couldn’t think of a better way to end the date than dancing in the rain with you.

there was a discourse on twitter about ted lasso as a beefy american football player so i just wanna hear your thoughts on the matter🎤🫡

Oooooh, I can see it. I can totally see it. Maybe like, when he was younger? Since he later on becomes an American football coach as an adult?

I bet his college year football life was:

Very polite, loving, sensitive like he is now. Though given the timeline of being a football player for him, he probably couldn't show it much.

Really great sportsmanship and team support, always. He's the pep talk guy on the team, for sure.

In my head, he was probably dating Michelle at the time - maybe she was a cheerleader or on the dance squad?

He knew football playing wasn't his career but he loves sports and he loves supporting teams, so coaching was already in his vision.

When he takes off his helmet, his brown hair is long and hangs over his forehead.

He probably didn't have a 'stache yet but I bet he had lots of stubble or a short beard. So that long, dark hair and that face covered in prickly whiskers? Hot.

He avoided the big football frat parties. He'd show up once in a while but drinking wasn't something he was real comfortable with, so he'd come and make an appearance, and then catch a movie with Michelle.

When he's working out he's in a t-shirt and shorts. His chest hair is peeking out the top. His shirt sticks to his body, even his tummy which is sculpted like a football player but still visible.

He goes for solo runs in the morning, when the sun is rising in Kansas. By a field of sunflowers he loves so much.

Even thought he resists the partying and the foul language of his teammates, they all respect the hell out of Ted and how he's carried on with his life despite tragedy and trauma.

These are my random, post-lunch rambling head canons. I don't know if this is helpful, or if this spurs the need for a fic. Help. What should we do next? Ha! Or does someone else wanna run with this?! (This could totally be a Ted x reader AU) OK help. lol

hi! i know this is late but i have so many theories about how they met, so here’s my list

1. colin bumped into michael whilst running, colin apologising profusely and looking at Michael and BAM! #gaypanic.

2. they both have dogs and met in the park

3. they met at an underground queer club (although this seems highly unlikely, as he’d get recognised) idk i just get that vibe from them

4. they met at a coffee shop, they laugh about Colin’s choice of drink

5. we don’t know what michael does, so potentially something related to his job that leads them to be at the same event. maybe they met in for the children??

maybe it’s serious maybe it’s not but either way they worry expeditiously

maybe they’re out as a couple and they can express their emotions about it but maybe they’re not and they need to hold it in and maybe it’s at a match or maybe it’s at training who knows

maybe they’re not even a couple yet they just care so much about the other person and it leads to some feelings

okay first of all, i am so sorry this took so long to respond to!

but absolutely, there are SO many maybes here, i feel like it could go so many ways.

if they were out to the public and it was something small, they would definitely run to check in on each other and help the other up. if they were out to the team, but not the public, i can totally see them wanting to check on the other, but some team members being able to calm them down, while someone on the team checks on the other to make sure they're okay. if they weren't out to the public OR the team, i can see them checking to make sure the other was okay from a distance, but still being worried until they could talk to the other person.

if it were an injury that they would have to leave the pitch for, i feel like regardless of whether or not they were out to the team, they would rush to check in on the other, but i feel like whether or not they were out would determine how many emotions they would be able to show. if they were out to the team, the team would definitely help calm colin or jamie down if the other was pretty hurt.

if they aren't together yet, i feel like them being worried about the other could definitely lead to a feelings realization. sort of like "this person is just my friend, so why am i so worried if they're hurt? i don't usually get this way about my other teammates..." and then they have the italicized oh moment.

i feel like this could also lead to a ted and colin or jamie moment, where they realized their feelings for the other and ted is the best supportive figure. like colin or jamie is sitting alone in the locker room, and ted comes in and notices something is off, so he asks them and they're like "i was just really worried about him" and ted would be like "yeah, its always scary when your friend gets hurt" and then they confess that they think it might be more than a friendship thing, and ted is so incredibly supportive, because he's ted.

Haha I definitely have a few morning-after headcanons (NSFW):

Ted always gets up after at night to clean up and bring a towel back to clean up his partner, and at the beginning he'd put his boxers and T-shirt back on but the comfier he gets with you the more often he gets back in bed naked to sleep.

He's always a little embarrassed by his morning wood but you ask him if he's been dreaming of you and encourage him to act out his fantasies 😛 though he's usually not much of a dirty talker in the mornings

He's a big fan of a morning round 2 (or 3) and loves to distract you from getting up on time by encouraging you to sit on his face 😈

Definitely wants to shower together in the morning, definitely anti-shower sex because it's dangerous lol

Breakfast in bed guy on the weekends, still makes breakfasts on weekdays but something you can take with you since there's less time

There's probably more but to answer your question, I think it's a little bit of everything but MOSTLY sweet lol

Author's Note: My rewatch of Ted Lasso has only made me even more smitten with season two Jamie Tartt, so enjoy these headcanons and let me know if you want to see these for other characters :)

- You met Jamie in his season-one player days, not paying any mind to his flirty comments as you went about your job at Richmond FC, knowing he was the type to try and sleep with anything that moves.

- When he came back from Manchester City though, you started to notice a real difference in him. He was respectful, with you, with his teammates, even with Nate. It was like the lessons Ted taught him had finally begun to sink in.

- He wasn't making comments about your looks or making flirty jokes anymore, he was asking you about yourself, genuinely interested in getting to know you better, and tell you more about himself. More and more you found him making the time to sit with you between training sessions, easy conversation flowing between you as you found yourself gradually trusting that he really had changed.

- After months of putting in the work to be a good friend to you, one day Jamie would hunt you down at work,a gift bag in hand. He'd nervously tell you how much he enjoyed spending time with you, and how much it had meant to him for you to be his friend since he came back from Richmond and he wondered if you'd want to go out for dinner with him, as a date?

- The relief washing over him when you say yes would be painfully obvious, Jamie nodding and telling you what time he'd pick you up. It was such a rollercoaster moment for him, he almost walked away before he remembered to hand you the gift bag he'd be hiding all day. Inside was a pretty plant for your desk, Jamie nervously mumbling about how he was going to get you flowers but thought it'd be nicer to get you something that would last a bit longer [I headcanon Jamie as a shockingly good gift-giver, I don't know why]

- Your first date with Jamie would be the perfect balance of easy and special. You know each other well enough at this point that conversation and laughter flows naturally between the two of you, and Jamie would be on his absolute most gentlemanly behaviour all night, telling you how beautiful you looked,and softly taking your hand without ever being too forward.

- After dinner Jamie takes you back to your place, walking you to your door and telling you that he had a great night, almost as nervous as he was the moment he asked you out.

- Taking the opportunity you'd reach up to place a hand gently on the back of his neck, tilting his head until your lips could softly meet. A comforting warmth spreads through your chests, one of Jamie's hands settling on your lower back to pull you closer, the other brushing softly along your hairline, deepening the kiss. Your bodies pressed against each other, you could feel the colour flushing in your faces, Jamie's eyes wide as he slowly pulled back, overwhelmed by his feelings towards you.

- "Wow" he breathed out absentmindedly, blushing as you laughed at his reaction, even though you felt the same undeniable chemistry he did. "Listen, usually I would invite myself inside and we'd have a great time, but I really like you, and I want to do this differently. So, as much as it's killing me not to kiss you again, I'm gonna go home now and then I'm going to ask you another day tomorrow, alright?"

- "I guess we'll see what I decide tomorrow then, Tartt." You teased, watching his frown turn to laughter at your smirk.

"Well then, just in case you turn me down." he laughed, pressed his lips back against yours, strong arm still wrapping warmly around you. "Alright, now I can live it." He nodded as he walked away, pretty confident of what your answer would be tomorrow.

Oh man oh man oh man if Phoebe, who is basically co-parented by Uncle Roy, gets a sibling who comes with her own dad? I feel like that’s SO crunchy, because if Roy is there as the *third* adult instead of the second he’s not going to be as involved as he was with Phoebe and I feel like there’s going to be so many complicated feelings about that for Phoebe. (Including probably some “good, I don’t have to share” feelings lol.)

YEAH. Listen I love the headcanon because it's SO crunchy along the way but then it ends really happily because their little family expands and more love is never a bad thing <3 also ROY & Co. WITH A LITTLE BABY!!! <3<3 let's appreciate the vision!!

but yeah I think like, if Roy's sister (who i'm going to call Ruth for the sake of the rest of my response because it's too difficult to not use a name and keep everyone straight lmao) was seriously dating someone and then was like hey we're getting married and then shortly thereafter was like oh yeah by the way I'm pregnant:

Roy would definitely go through it a bit because in my head, he didn't realize what was happening/how it really was between Ruth and Phoebe's Dad until Ruth was already like, REALLY in it. Maybe he even liked the guy. I sort of think he did, just because it's extra prickly and it adds to the intense anger over the situation we see him express in canon. Like, not only is he mad at himself for not realizing how Ruth was being treated, he's also mad that he didn't see the signs and wasn't around when he needed to be, and he's furthermore mad that he was friendly with this guy the times he'd met him when he of course should have known to slug him in the face in advance from the first time he met him, etc. Irrational thought patterns, you know how it is.

So. His panicky brain realistically knows this ISN'T the same. But he's also extra vigilant, especially now that he not only has Ruth to worry about but also Phoebe. So he really has to talk things through with his therapist and Ruth and express his fears to Jamie and Keeley before he really can start to feel okay about the whole thing.

Then once he's accepted Ruth's new boo and is excited for all of them, he gets hit with the "you're getting a new niece or nephew!" news, which sets off the panic alarms AGAIN. because what if he's used up all his good uncle juices on Phoebes and there's not enough left over for the new kid? (i just think Roy tragically overthinks everything lmao)

Also, and the Bigger Thing, is how does he navigate just having to be an uncle to this child without the extra responsibility of having to be a co-parent to them like he's been for Phoebe? What's the balance there? And can he step back to let this new person into Phoebe's life, and what if he fills up the role Roy has in her life and pushes Roy out completely? He wants to give as much of himself to this new child as he'd given to Phoebe but he doesn't quite know what new role to play.

Meanwhile Phoebe is having a similar crisis about accepting this new person and then a new sibling into her home. As you say, she doesn't want Roy to not be there in the same way he's always been there, and she also has all the typical pre-teen angst and this is just one more thing. She doesn't want anything to change. She'd very skeptical of this new guy who is suddenly always around. Why does her mum even like him? etc. etc.

This is a great opportunity for Phoebe and Jamie bonding and an Uncle Jamie teaching moment, because Jamie of course also has a stepparent, and one I personally believe he was VERY skeptical of when Simon first came into his life. So he can share with Phoebe the role Simon's played in his own life and in doing so, gently encourage her to give Ruth's partner a chance. ❤️

everything ends up all right of course. Ruth's partner is a wonderful person who slides right into the family and is very patient with Phoebe and Roy both. And they all instantly fall in love with new baby. Phoebe would be the best big sister. I think it would just be really exciting for everyone involved!!

The beginning of training

When Roy offered to coach Jamie at Sam's restaurant, you were surprised (but happy with their now forming friendship, even if neither of them wants to admit it). And then when it first happened, you couldn't believe that Roy was actually at the door. You smacked Jamie's arm at the sound of the banging on the front door. He does not move in the least bit, barely moves an inch (the prick, who you love... not right now though).

And you do it again, to which he whines. "Why are you hitting my arm?" He grabs your hand, holding it against his chest, not wanting to get injured any further.  You groan, squeezing your eyes shut even tighter. "Answer the door."   "Darling, if you keep hitting me, it's going to lead to a punishment which will make me miss my beauty sleep." "Go answer the door or else I'm kicking you to the couch." "I'm not a fucking dog." The knocks are louder and louder as he talks back. "Door, now." He grumbles and slowly pushes himself out of bed, rubbing his eye along the way. "Put pants on." "No, you know I get hot." "I get it, but you don't need to show your cock to the world." "Why? You going to get jealous?" "I don't think an early morning nap at a jail cell is something either of us want." You slowly push yourself out of bed to follow him while putting on Jamie's favorite hoodie (for you) to wear.

- You rub your eyes, "Who the fuck is at the-" you squint, not sure if you're seeing things correctly. "Roy?" "Fucking hell," Jamie mutters. "Hello, I'm going to... say sorry to you for waking you up but he needs coaching." He drops his arm, after staring at his watch. "All right, let's go." "It's four a.m.," your boyfriend points out. "Yeah," Roy nods. "We start at four a.m." "I thought you were joking." "How is that a joke?" "'Cause it's four a.m." "We start at four, so you can do three workouts a day instead of two." He rubs his eye and sighs. "Okay, but it's four a.m." "Do you want to be better than Zava or not?" You roll your eyes, now realizing what this is about. Jamie sighs, "well, how are we gonna see? It's dark out." Sometimes you’re proud of how observant your boyfriend is... right now, not so much. Roy puts on his headlamp, blinding the two of you. "Fucking hell." "Ah, shit. Roy." You put your hand in front of your face. "Turn that fucking thing off." "No. Now get dressed or I start flicking your balls." He scrunches his nose, turning around. "This is perverse." 

Roy glances down at Jamie’s bare bottom, the light of his headlamp making it obvious. 

You snicker because you know this is not what he was expecting to see... until his light blinds you. "I don't like you right now, Roy." "Yeah, I'm not proud of me either. Neither of you are wearing any fucking pants." You pout, fiddling with the end of the hoodie. "I have shorts on, they’re just... very short. I'm not going flash you like Jam-Jam." Roy lowers his face with raised brows. "Jam-Jam?" "Stop talking to him and go back to bed, love!" -

During the training "Why do you only sleep with a top on?" "I get cold upstairs and hot downstairs." Roy nods, "I get that." "It's a stupid excuse for him to get laid. Don't listen to him, Roy." Jamie throws up and his "coach" greets the passer byer. "I thought you went to bed," he groans.   "I did." You push yourself off the bench and hold a bottle of water out for him, while rubbing his back. "But I also know that your body has yet to get used to "Roy Kent's training course". I have to make sure I'll have a boyfriend to come home to me." Roy rolls his eyes when he sees that you've given him a hard stare.

Once Jamie's gotten used to training

He is all prepared to go next time, which annoys you. "Don't wake me up. I'm gonna get eyes bags," you whine. He chuckles, sitting on your side of the bed with his hand on your hip. "Since when did you care about that?" You flip onto your other side, so you can face him. "Since I've been dating a cocky little shit who likes to train at four in the morning." He chuckles. "You love it." You slowly open your eyes and crack a smile. "Not right now. Go get downstairs and take your phone with you." "I'm not a child." "In case you need to escape from Roy." "You know me so well, darling." He leans down to kiss you until he’s interrupted.  The pounding on the door traumatizes you. “Go, now.”

"Come on, Tartt! One more before dinner!" "That's your cue, Jam-Jam." "I told you to stop calling me that," he tells you with a smile. "And we both know, I won't." He pecks your cheek and lips before running downstairs. Jamie opens the door immediately, heavily breathing with his headlamp already on. "Let's go, Coach." He runs by Roy. Roy puts his on and takes off. "He better come back in one piece, Kent! Or you have to deal with me!" "He'll live to fuck you another day."

Your neighbors shout at you. 

“Shut up and go to sleep! Some people have to work!” You shout back to shut them up. 

“She doesn’t scare you when she shouts like that?” Roy asks, always finding it amusing when you shout at people. 

“Nah,” Jamie shakes his head. “It’s cute. She’s like an angry bunny.” 

You shake your head, after checking on them one last time, before locking the door and going back to bed to play on your phone while you wait for your boyfriend to return.

Quick Analysis -

Leo Rising - a strutting king.

Love that Sun/Mercury/Chiron mix. Libra Sun ruling his Leo rising shows he does know how to be conscientious, will try to appease others (able to agree with everything Roy said until he had to say he was ugly = pure Libra lol, knows what's needed to win people over). Mercury in Scorpio is brilliant at tactics and seeing through people's shit, but Mercury/Chiron makes him insecure about verbally expressing his intelligence, being gaslit and trusting others is the wound, sexualized comments by himself and others are the wound, the wound is in the 4th house of family.
