The QSMP is fun because I woke up this morning to the tag trending and full of rat Roier and BBH apparently canonising his mpreg.

Then I go and watch Bagis stream because I left when she reentered the QSMP and they're doing valley girl fight rp, to medical rp where Bad stopped denying he was a demon and we found out q!bagi only has half a liver from alcohol abuse then courtroom because Doctovo drugged police officer Bagi. Bad was sentenced to life in prison (30 mins) for various war crimes but was rescued by Doctovo where they then bribed the underfunded police with diamonds and pretended to work at a bar which worked for all of 5 minutes before they told on themselves.

The rp within rp within rp is so fucking entertaining. And then in an hours time I'm gonna get hit by the memory relapse after finding out that Forever and Brunim weren't just friends.

Edit: seconds after posting this richas dropped an anvil on already downed Bagi and then gave her 'human meat' because they're a demon and an egg so it's not technically cannibalism. This chase is great.

i almost went on a rant in the tags of the last post but realized it was probably better to make it its own post so here goes: courtney has a very particular posture that seems intentionally much different than the other characters ... like their slouch and raptor hands gives the impression that they switch between walking/standing bipedally and quadrupedally (which they do), idk i think its really neat

it might just be me but... sometimes the way they sit/stand kind of looks like their head is weighing them down (which it probably is), which reminds me of how the angels on plane 4 kind of glide across the floor instead of having audible or visible footsteps, which makes me think that they use their magic to float all the time instead of walking (which is probably best for their spine and neck and body in general lol). maybe the afforementioned magic is stored in their halo, so fallen angels like courtney who only have a fraction of their halo would only have access to a little bit of magic (enough to teleport and breathe fire/light small fires)

idk i just like the way they stand. its cute and funny

it's interesting how when i read the words 'christmas break' i see time off uni to be with family in the holiday season but when my lecturers read it they see 'time to study for four in-person exams in january covering everything we've done in the semester'

I simply don't think it works/does anything) #(and without that there's already so much to unpack in their relationship to one another) #next in line id say bj and peg and that is... interesting........ he cheats on her once and considers leaving her another time #this could be read many ways but i choose to believe that those situations wouldnt have happened if he hadn't been drafted #but they did happen + the jealousy plots + some of the overbearing ways he treated hawkeye #(again last of those can choose to relate or not to relate to his marriage i choose to relate them) + general lashing out #but i do currently fall in the place of reading that relationship as coming out of love and them trying their best #then we've got henry and trapper who I think like their wives (but to varying degrees also bad-mouth them + cheat on them) #and will also say there that apart from the one scene with flagg there don't seem to be indications that they cheated outside the war either #(i say this -- i could be misremembering -- it seemed like the three-night-stand with trapper lady was before his marriage?) #(anyway we're newish fans here there could be things ive forgotten) #then we've got frank burns and... *i happen to believe in the sanctity of marriage no matter how ugly or disgusting it gets* #(paraphrased but you get the picture) #now for the ones who don't end the narrative with romantic partners: mulcahy charles hawkeye margaret radar #mulcahy is never given a *what if romance were to make you doubt yourself as a priest* narrative and am pretty glad of that #his tension gets to be more complicated without that imo #charles has a couple of romance-ish arcs that are snuffed out (the un-wedding is... very interesting very aromantic vibes) #+ him and his Responsibilities which is about the most unromantic way of looking at it as you can get (also strong ace vibes) #radar is slightly trickier in that he's in that odd space of being considered adolescent but then also not and loses his virginity 100 times #he seems to want a partner but although the conversation with the nurse in his last outing is sweet he's noticeably on that front #not fully *allowed* to just... grow up -- recognises that as a problematic phrasing on purpose because i feel like with radar #sex and romance is often tied to the idea of adulthood... i like seeing him as aroace and the space is there for it for sure! #(redefining adulthood for himself?)

This is such a "nobody else has read this comic" moment but like. It kills me every day that we never see Simon's conversation with Amanda Waller in JLA (2013) #5. Like I NEED to know what she said to him in that room. He goes in fully intending to detach himself from all the drama of his origin arc and get the government off his back yet when he leaves he joins Waller's JLA (which is a different, rival entity of the JL at this time). And THEN in JLA comic he's not just on the team, he's one of the more pro-Waller/pro-authority members!!! Which doesn't sound like Simon!!! Like at all! But again this is the Wall we are talking about. And they had a private conversation together! For an unspecified amount of time! That we know nothing about! Like this is Amanda freaking Waller if anyone could say something to make this make sense it would be her. SO I NEED TO KNOW WHAT SHE SAID. but also also also we see ANOTHER change of heart from Simon towards Waller (and the government) in Green Lanterns #1! (I think.) Here he's shown being fed up as the government tries to manipulate him for information and to gain power and such and is like keeping tabs on him and his family etc. So obviously he's become disillusioned with this and is not happy about it, which is the kind of reaction you would expect from him! Like that actually makes sense!!!

So its like logically you figure that his characterization in JLA is bad (it is new 52) and doesn't make sense and stems from an ignorance of his character (who had been in literally 16 comics before this. Including cameos. Like bruh just read them) and that's why this doesn't make sense. BUT THERE'S STILL THAT CONVERSATION WITH WALLER. Like I want this to my sense so bad. And my brain knows what Amanda Waller is like like it KNOWS that something could have plausibly happened in that room to make this line up! Like it's Amanda freaking Waller anything could have happened there. I need to know what happened there. I will NEVER know what happened there.
