I went to the dollar store the other day right

When I walked in, there was a mother and her little girl in the process of checking out. The girl was probably only around 4, maybe 5, and in true Little Kid Who Doesn’t Have A Great Understanding Of Volume Control Yet fashion, she is LOUDLY asking her mother one question over and over:

“Do you know which is the pinkest pink?”

She says it in such a way that you can infer that she knows what the pinkest pink is, and she’s waiting for her mom to ask so she can tell her which is the pinkest pink.

She asks over and over in the same loud voice, with hardly a second’s pause between each. “Do you know which is the pinkest pink? Do you know which is the pinkest pink? Do you know which is the pinkest pink?”

By this point I’ve been in the store for maybe two minutes and I am DYING to know the answer. I want to know which is the pinkest pink. I am on the edge of my seat. I’m invested.

After the sixth time she asks, her mother FINALLY responds in a barely masked tired tone, in a volume so low she was probably hoping that her daughter would get the hint and lower her own voice. “What is the pinkest pink--”

And before she can even finish asking, the girl BLURTS out even more loudly,

“PIIIIIIINK :)”

Do you know how hard it was not to laugh. Thank goodness I had a mask on, I had the BIGGEST smile on my face and it would have been totally obvious I was paying attention to her. Her enthusiasm made my day. Kids are some of the funniest creatures on this planet and they don’t even know it
