a/n: HEY GUYS DID U MISS ME??? enjoy this one in a million occasion of me writing for someone other than a mikey madison character😱😱 this is my first time writing for sam dont bully me im just a girl. do not repost for any reason.

your brother and his stupid band. the same one that gathered in the garage every saturday and played the same music every time. you usually never minded the music, but you were frustrated. the house was hot, the air conditioner was being worked on and the heat was really starting to get to you.

you were laid on the couch in the living room, stripped down to your sportsbra and shorts hours ago, trying your best to cool yourself down. the glass doors leading to your backyard were wide open, a small breeze flowing in. you didn't understand how they did it. how they practiced in the small, hot garage. it was much hotter in there than it was in the house, opening the garage door hardly helped cool it down.

the sound of the music stopped and a few minutes passed before the door leading to the garage opens and your brother walks out. you sit up slightly, looking over at him as he grabs his keys.

"where you goin'?" you ask, eyebrows furrowed slightly.

"to get a fan, it's hot as fuck in that garage," you brother mumbles, walking back to the garage. "why, need somethin'?" you shake your head, falling back onto the couch. the door closes and you let out a sigh of relief at the quiet house.

the sound of drums interrupt the silence and you can’t help the giddy feeling that washes over you. sam was still here, of course she was. you pull yourself off of the couch and walked towards the garage, eyes landing on her the second you opened the door.

"nah, already hot as it is, didn't want to sit shoulder to shoulder in his small ass car with all of em'." she pulls her headphone case out, taking her other headphone out before stuffing it back into her pocket. you could feels sam’s eyes on you as you move to stand next to her, head tilting slightly as you look over the drums.

"want me to teach you how to play?" she asks. you down at her, biting the inside of your lip.

"sure," you mumble, taking the sticks she offered you. you stood awkwardly next to her, waiting for her to get up, but her hands find their way around your hips, pulling you to sit down on her lap. she holds onto the backs of your hands, moving them to beat against the drums softly.

her breath is hot against your neck as she whispers instructions. you try to listen, you really do, but the way her hands hold onto you, the way you can feel her chest flush against your back, it was so fucking distracting.

sam shows you how to play a small piece before she lets go of your hands completely. you miss it almost immediately. she bounces her leg slightly in an attempt to get you to repeat the motions she had just showed you, but the feeling of her thigh pressing into your clothed cunt has you surpressing a whine. you shakily reach out to beat against the drums, repeating what sam had just showed you.

I feel a bit annoyed by people saying Firefly is the star rail version of Kallen. As a fan of both characters I feel they got next to nothing in common whatsoever. They dont look similar, they arnt similar people, they dont have similar backgrounds or motives... there is just nothing really. It feels like reducing them to Stelle/Caelus girlfriend (this one is supported by the story but I feel like much of what makes Firefly and this ship interesting gets overlooked, admittedly some of it assumes the theory about Firefly being SAM is true and some lore knowledge about SAM but even without taking that into account Firefly is a great character in her own right) and Otto´s girlfriend (which, as a huge Otto fan, I will say, of course has its own issues and I do not like the romantic interpretation with them, the previous era versions of them are different people and dont count for this imo and there is no evidence at all Kallen of the current era was into Otto and also Kolosten heavily suggests it wasnt even a romance thing for Otto either) I highly recommend people read the prequel comic focused on Kallen, its when Kallen is younger then when we see her in flashbacks, set before meeting Sakura (i highly recommend also checking out that whole story at some point even if it can be a bit awkwardly time gated in game and slightly confusing) in HI3 so her personality/demeanor is a bit different from how she was by then (she is a lot more naive for one) but I think its still a good introduction to see why Kallen is a good character and a good showcase of how she isnt like Firefly at all and doesnt require sitting trough all of Kolosten and several side stuff in game to get to, so its a convenient starting place to see if you want to see more about Kallen. Which I hope anyone reading this ends up wanting to but even if not thats fine and is why I recommend starting here since its an easy read with very nice art and a fairly self contained story. Also if you dont play HI3 and am just curious on Kallen because of what other people are saying. Firefly I dont wanna go too deep into character analysis here cause some of it relies heavily on an unproven theory, ill probably write about her more later though. But either way I feel like she is a very well written character, her desire to indulge in some escapism to get a break from her harsh reality with her terminal illness, her determination to find the watchmaker´s legacy despite the risk, her clearly having gotten a lot of experience dealing with dangerous situations despite seemingly wanting to just live a normal happy life, she hasnt been in the game very long (yet, the boss that "killed" her whole gimmick is that you can free the souls it claims so im not so sure she is actually gone, also you can see a Firefly leave her body before she dissolves shortly before Sam shows up...) but she is already very strongly characterized even with her limited screentime. If the theory that she is Sam is also true then it would add an extra layer to her closeness with Stelle in that some lore about Sam suggests Sam was artifically created for the purpose of fighting against the swarm, so she likely would relate to Stelle on account of the whole... being made to fullfill a purpose thing. As a stellaron hunter in this case she would also know about that quite likely so I like the theory. Idunno I just feel frustrated how characters often feel like they get boiled down to just their archetype or role (and sometimes not even any of those but just completely unrecognizable) when they are actually very interesting and well written characters. I want people to appreciate the writing that went into these amazing characters, not just these two but also many other examples but I wont ramble on here. So I strongly recommend people read more about them if at all curious, altough be careful since there are tons of leaks and spoilers in general going around regarding anything Penacony related, so with Firefly it might be best to wait a bit if spoilers are a concern.

NRC Staff Magestones Appreciation

The pictures I took were all tiny so-

Crowley doesn't seem to have an actual magestone? they look more like fancy mirrors than a stone. He's also fae judging by his ears. I haven't read anything about any of the other fae in-game that needs a magestone to do magic properly so he's probably good without one.

Trein has his pinned to his tie thing its such a pretty green color ngl im so used to grim i just had a wild thought that his magestone is with lucius and thats his wand thing LIKE HE CANT DO MAGIC WITHOUT HIS CAT spdajvfnqpsfv

Okay 15.14 had some genuinely interesting ideas and developments... just wrapped in the stupidest packaging known to man. But whatever, I have a great imagination.

Why did the things about Jack go kind of hard tho - that whole thing with him being a monster that Ms Butters thinks they should get rid of...... okay Ms tortured to indoctrination pipeline. But her calling Jack the infecting snake from the garden of eden who corrupts those around him erased any doubts in my mind. Genuinely a crazy line. Especially since Jack has literally just come back from the garden of eden too?? Also Jack calling for Sam after first finding the tape of Ms Butters, only to then give it up cause Sam is about to go on a date for the first in FOREVER - RAHHHFDNVIHUR the way he went to Sam because he knew he would listen, believe and help him but in the end decided against it because he didn't want Sam to give up this brief experience of something happy and normal .... their bond means so much to me. And oh my god Jack asking Dean when they're both in the dungeon if he still thinks he's a monster....... oooo now this is the stuff I want to be seeing. Yeah Dean lets reflect on you saying that to new born Jack. But I actually appreciate Dean telling him the truth in this scene, being like look I'm really trying to mend our relationship here but there are some things that are really difficult to move past - but that doesn't mean I'm going to let you get taken out. But I mean, as if Sam, Dean and Cas haven't done things 1000000000000x worse than accidentally killing someone whilst they were soulless, but I have accepted the fact that consistency doesn't exist in spn and sometimes you just have to look at things in a vacuum. Whatever. And despite that Dean still believes in him to save the world 😭😭.

Also I did not need that close up shot of Sam's nail-less finger ew lmao why did they do that like ik it was torn off I don't need a 360 viewing experience of it.

Ugh no but Sam and Jack really got me in this episode. See Sam has an endless vault of forgiveness in his heart and its jsut so obvious he really does just love and care about him so much eughhh.

Also another thing - there is something so underlyingly sinister about the old MOL and I love it tbh its so interesting. Like the monster radar table thing, there is just something so morally corrupt in its convenience. Like we see Sam and Dean use it to kill the 'nest' of vampires (I say that in inverted commas cause 1. there were only two of them and 2. were they really that much of a threat??). Like machine that tracks down monsters for you... you go and exterminate them.... its giving guilty until proven innocent... except there is no proving of innocence cause its just storm in and kill them. Like idk... its not like they chose to be vampires and tbh they seemed pretty chill. Like it showed them drinking blood from blood bags so I can only assume thats probably where they get their food from and its like... that's literally the most ethical way you can be a vampire. Like idk I just feel like there are bigger issues in society but whatever I'm not going to go into the incredibly interesting implications of the victim -> monster pipeline that most monsters follow at 1am in the morning.

But yeah anyway I think that was supposed to be the point tho - like yeah using a monster tracking device to kill them before theyve even done anything wrong is a morally wrong thing -> OG MOL were kind of this crazy secret society that lowkey lacked any morals at all and kidnapped this wood nymph and torture brainwashed her by taking advantage of her innate nature to protect her family to turn her into some kind of house maid guard dog. Freaky.

Anyway. I have given up trying to predict the trajectory of these episodes lmao.

Hello, feel free to ignore this if you don't wanna answer but I finally got to watch your rpg video (which was very cute and fun to watch) and you seem to know your way around tsams. Do you think you could maybe give a quick explanation of what the fuck is happening?! I want to get into this show but there's like 1000 layers of lore, drama, and complications (and don't get me started about their side channels) that make it hard to understand what's happening. I don't really wanna watch 6 months of daily content, I've already tried and failed, and nobody has any sort of explanation of what's going on 😱😱

Hello! I'm glad you enjoyed my video and appreciate your kind words <3 As far as the lore of SAMS goes dw, I was in your shoes too. I only started watching them last December and I had like 7 months of lore to catch up on. I did find out (if you want to experience the lore yourself) you can just watch their VRchat videos. Most of the lore is in there (besides a few minecraft lore videos). They have a Playlist of it on their channel, and that should help you understand the majority of it. But here is my crappy bullet point explanation if you want a super summary. Keep in mind though I wasn't there for most of it so some of these events I don't fully understand myself. Before they started their channel: - Sun and Moon shared a body. Moon hated it and was constantly causing Sun pain. Moon already has a virus (though they refer to it as a Kill Code) - They eventually reconcile and agree to work together. Moon makes his own body and transfers his AI too it while trying to leave his Kill Code behind (hoping it would just deactivate) - I believe they follow the in game events of the pizzaplex burning down and now their homeless The start of their channel: - Two bros, chilling in a bunker, 5 feet apart cause their playing video games for their channel. They also continue to run a mini daycare - Moon starts to show signs that his Kill Code is returning and Sun also starts to act a bit-- kill codey (because Moon left it behind in Sun) - JULY 16th! Sun kills for the first time. This kill code Sun eventually becomes the character Eclipse. Eclipse and Lunar Era: - Eclipse makes another AI named Lunar (think of it if Moon was actually a nice non-gremlin killing DCA) and he stealth ninja star usbs Lunar into Moon's body. - Sun and Moon are unaware of them for awhile, until they eventually make themselves known and take over Sun and Moon's body (The Sun and Moon show temporarily becomes the Eclipse and Lunar show where the two alternates play video games instead. Very amusing to watch). - Eclipse tortures Sun and Moon a lot while he tries to get the Newton Star (a device that Moon created that can wipe out all AI's memories in a certain vacinity) - Eclipse is an asshole to Lunar and eventually Lunar decides to help Sun and Moon out instead, officially becoming a 'brother' to them. - This part I don't know much about but somewhere along the line-- Moon learns magic and Sun, Moon, and Lunar were able to defeat Eclipse and leave him to rot in a forest. Bloodmoon Era: - Things are pretty chill. Sun, Moon, and Lunar become closer. Monty is a thing. He's a good freind. Lunar and Sun take care of the daycare (they now have a full daycare they work and live in) and Moon is busy looking for and destroying Eclipse's backups. - Bloodmoon becomes a thing. Idk how. Idk why. But he's here and he's out for your blood (I think Eclipse had created him at some point) - Bloodmoon is two AIs in one body and all they crave is blood and violence - Sun, Moon and Lunar visit different AUs, one of them being if Eclipse had won (also known as the SAMSwarAU which is an AU that slowly getting popular if you ever see it-- thats what that is) - Eclipse has a backup in Bloodmoon and the two(three?) start working together to get back at Sun, Moon, and Lunar Kill Code Era (current Era): - Sun breaks Moon's computer and Moon's Kill Code gets reactivated (all orchestrated by Eclipse) - Monty enter's Moon's head to save Lunar and Moon's Kill Code becomes an official character named Kill Code (or KC) - Bloodmoon and Eclipse try and get KC on their side (though Bloodmoon and KC just end up making a deal instead), Monty saves Lunar, and Sun is just trying his best - KC and Moon make a deal. KC will leave Sun, Lunar, and Monty alone, help Moon take control over Bloodmoon and Eclipse, if they can work together to kill their creator. Moon accepts the deal so he can get his body back. (oh ya-- their creator is appearntly an asshole but idk much about him) And now you're all caught up. Thank you for coming to my spark notes edition of the SAMS lore. There is a lot of small details I left out and I'm sure there are some things I've gotten wrong or just didn't know even happened but this is my own understanding of it, coming into the community late. Kinda, not quite. It's more that Cas already made that sacrifice (and ironically became Much More during it, but didn't know it at the time). If you check my Marriage of the Minds tag, or pretty much any of my art or garden tags, you'll see that the plot of season 15 was something called the alchemical wedding. There were two near instances (15.09, 15.13-- one cancelled, one proverbial proxy jack) and then the actual moment 15.18 for Cas, but Dean really never got his beyond Not Who I Am and I'll Try To Live For Him/Them. And at least telling his little brother he was proud of him and loved him, that kind of qualifies but was really just a plug for the plot checkbox, because that's not new, he's said it before, and that's not what Berens' plot was leading to (but I'm not about to get back into Singer's fuckery.)

You may want to also check my occultum tag, because of 15.13. You'll see in my Art tag that the occultum is actually pulled from that card, which represents that alchemical union.

The "loosely translated, in order to be in the occultum, the occultum must be in you" was quite cute, actually. They put it in Enochian so Cas had to read it, even if the original was in Latin, which is why Billie and Sam had that. THATS LATIN FOR HIDDEN RIGHT. where is it. I DONT KNOW. ITS HIDDEN.

It was in fact VERY LOOSELY TRANSLATED in the like "alchemy for dummies model"

“Visit the interior of the earth, and by rectifying what you find there, you will discover the hidden stone (philosopher’s stone)”

So let me shorthand what that means again in a new post, then direct you to the aforementioned tags. (cut for length)

OK so in alchemy there's a whole spiritual quest of breaking down your bad stuff and becoming a good clean pure self, but purity isn't christian purity. It's the mastery of the self without fear of a christian god to condemn you or whatever. You Do You, Do What Thou Wilt (and harm none) Shall be The Whole Of The Law.

In alchemy think of Earth as Body. So Visit Inside the Body, and by Rectifying what you find there, you will find-- The Perfect Soul.

That's what that means. Or, in order to be in The Garden, The Garden must be in you. Which is why Cas' plot was all like, learning to speak his open truth and let the light in. The Moon lets the sun Shine On Her Face To Become Full.

Part of the process--again, deeper coverage in my tags per subject--involves the death of the Empress which--another tag to check--is where Cas landed in his path, with the Mary, Rowena, and Amara parallelism, right down to the blossoms and pink shit of death and the gift to be lost if not appreciated. (both Cas and Dean shared that, while Sam avoided that light, Jack only got hit by it before his rebirth in-episode and missed it after.)

That same episode also placed: Joseph-Dean, Mary-Cas, Christ-Jack where the two halves of Mind and Soul, (*mortal) Life (*actually mind/grace) and Being (*soul, still) marry, passing the Philosopher's Stone as a seed from Emperor (dean gets it first, via Bobo correction note from the script), then Empress (Cas) then the Aeon Child (Jack). It's a matrimony forecast.

Unfortunately, the Empress is considered to die in the process, whether in birth, after birth, or just the passing of the old generation before the new. The process talks about returning to The Black Womb By Which All Life Springs. Gonna let you rattle that around in your head a bit.

But Cas reached in. He let the light in. He let himself love outwardly, not fear judgment. From God or Dean or anyone. He let IN the light Dean showed him. He took in the shadows humanity cast too. The Shadow, the thing that rules the Empty. In that moment, Castiel integrated with The Infinite Vessel of Death (to not explode) while taking on both all the light in humanity (his unending love for Dean, and a reflection of Dean's own love for the world) and accepting its shadows and what it hides away, just like his own.

If you venture into my Heaven tag, and discussions, you'll find that like. Heaven, as we call it, is basically the World Soul. Human souls, the grigori said in Angel Heart, are slices of heaven and angels since the dawn of man have made them make mental heavens to distract them. To keep them in contentment, like Nihilism, even if that same void of repression was beyond it just like the Empty.

Because really, The Empty and Heaven are the same place. It's Not Being, Not Having Soul, Not Letting In The Light; vs Being, Just Saying, Just Being Yourself, And Accepting it.

The occultum is powerful--a key, they said. it's not a place or a thing. It's a key. It's a key to the Kingdom of Heaven, and the secret Chuck hid away all along is that it's always been the soul and humanity. That serpent that talked to his first gabriel-esque barbies, and taught them what Good is (the soul, as the Absence of it Isn't Evil in alchemy, just like Cas said, but the Absence of Good; the human soul is the one true thing, everything else is a matrix of commentary we're put through).

Chuck mentioned a beauty and glory in creation greater than his pride or ego waiting to be born, like he and amara just were. He knew she'd seen it, and felt it, and looked at Dean.

One day a sleeping Nothing went TheFuck (why) do I exist, chuckmara popped up, Chuck made a playbox with toys in it, some toys met a snake, got a soul--that snake is just. The Shadow in the world of Chuck's Mental Box Of Perception, Awake. It's the Let There Be Light before the sun, of the true creator, the living soul of man in its rawest form, and that's why Jack got his soul back THERE even when Chuck couldn't. Chuck just made the sandbox. We play in it.

So Cas thought he was giving up his everything, his very being, for his love of humanity but in doing that, basically unbirthed The World Soul the way Rowena did hell via Death. Cas became heaven, and that's where the Castiel's Uterus joke is from, and why the Akrida are a triple threat joke in three languages of locust, garden and a complicated birth that could cause death.

You know. I Cared About The Whole World. John and Mary's love saves The Whole World. Turning over all the cards at the end, and the final card: The World.

The Whole World waits for us, and what is Dean's Whole World. What is keeping him from reaching peace in the garden, what is he looking into his parents as he crosses past timespacesoulstuff, as the light tries to call him home. What regret--like the ones that haunt Rowena--is keeping him from being At Peace With Himself. What is he not Being yet. What does he have to Say, or Do, to be able to reach Heaven Proper, where all his family is, what does he have to do to stop disconnecting himself like the monsters in the Winchesters morals, to lift the fog on his path and find his garden, his roadhouse, his family.

Cas already made that sacrifice. And with it, Castiel is calling him home.

Come home, hometown hero.

the main thing is the Taran Wanderer parallels, not anything from The High King. eg the hero's journey is over so let me look into my parents and learn a few things about myself on the way.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

okay firstly, this episode was pretty interesting! it was a bit shorter than the previous episodes but still something substantial. i'm nevertheless intrigued and still curious as to how things will develop.

but more importantly, COLIN!!!!! i know he was in episode 3 but i miss him already. it's interesting though that sam notes how weird colin's been acting lately. he is very intentionally going analogue. and to be honest i can't really blame him. he knows that the programs inside the computers are watching them, and will use practically anything digital to connect from one aspect to another and spy on people (remember how they managed to connect to alice's phone in the first episode??? literally no device is safe.) him doing literally everything he can to distance himself from the electronics is not going unnoticed. while we're on the topic of IT's, i'm wondering why gwen was so interested in them all of a sudden. does it have to do with the video she saw? could klaus be the german IT guy? what happened to him? perhaps he knew too much, and it was getting in the way of his work. and the fact he's german. could he be the one who wrote the code for the system? it doesn't explain things, but it definitely something to keep in mind. it seems like gwen is onto something, and she's starting her own little investigation.

i am also keeping an eye on sam. he's a bit better at this than jon, in the sense that he's not being overtly obsessive about it Yet, but something is up with him. he's a bit irrate and making incredibly bad decisions, but to be honest, who doesn't when they're in a bad mood? i do appreciate him trying to bring up colin's current state and offering some kind of solution, rather than pushing him away. i think he genuinely wants to help.

also alice is so confused. i feel so bad for her. "why is everyone acting so weird?" honestly i do not blame you. alice get behind me everybody is going to make you look like the weird suspicious person for trying to stay sane.

sorry for the delay guys!!!! the pain is bearable but i've just been having a hard time getting my thoughts together. this episode has given me a lot but also not very much. overall, i think everybody is acting weird and i know this is bad because my guys :( my little sillies. anyways, that's all for now! goodbye!

So i have a skin disorder that makes red spots appear ALL over my skin and it makes it feel itchy and rough(now in other fanfic its normally that the characters talk about "readers soft skin" and sadly i cant relate to that)

You should've seen this coming.

But it's like your body and your mind operate on completely different terms sometimes, with no connection to one another whatsoever. It's impossible to control how your body might react to something that brews in your mind, and while for some it's not an issue to keep focus on; people that are blessed with one tiny little add-on to their existence like you have to be extra careful sometimes.

And good lord, you can never be careful enough.

As Sam paced around in your apartment, trying to keep your mind off of work stress and the general adulthood obstacles through a sacred quest of finding a show to watch before you could come back to the living room; you were mentally face-palming upon the sight of a red spot on the course of forming on your shoulder, and a few more down your arms. You can't control everything that happens around you, of course, but God, why is it that everyone else seems to be better at handling stress?

When you came back to the living room with a slight pout on your lips, fingers tugging on the material of your t-shirt to reveal a portion of your arms, Sam is perplexed. Remote control in his palm, he turned around to look at you, gaze flickering between your hand and your face. "Everything okay?" he asked, pointing towards the snacks laid out on the coffee table with the remote control. "It better be. I didn't pay for all those for nothing, you better cheer the hell up."

That pulled a chuckle out of you as you shrugged, stepping closer to him with a sigh, forcing the sight into his point of view. "Flaring up a bit, I think," a soft breath left you. "Figures. I was beginning to expect it at this point."

"What's that? Allergies?" he asked, following suit when you took a seat on the couch, relaxing right next to you. "Is it the lobster? Can't be, because I marinated that thing so good that people with seafood allergy could risk death to have a taste. I'm serious."

"No, it just happens." you chuckled softly, heaving a deep sigh before leaning back comfortably. "There isn't much that I can do about it now, it's just gonna itch and drive me crazy."

Sam hummed as a response, before pressing 'play' on the first comfort show that he came across, mind occupied with this newfound information. It must be annoying enough to go through, he thought, figuring that he shouldn't ask many questions— but he's a curious individual, he couldn't help it even if he tried. "Isn't there anything, like— like an ointment or something for 'em?" your slow nod caused him to hum, the intro of the show seemingly catching your attention, but not his, surprisingly, considering the fact that he often possessed the attention span of a goldfish. "Does it bother you?"

"It's not a pretty sight when the timing is wrong," you mumbled while reaching for a pack of sour candies on the coffee table before leaning back on the couch again. The cushions were soft against your back, but not as soft as your bed— which you were beginning to miss. "But I feel like I've gotten used to it, you know? Like, I learn more about how my skin reacts to certain things as time goes by and, well, I'm trying to manage it better."

"Not a pretty sight my ass," he whispered under his breath, causing you to laugh— along with him. "You could have Shrek skin for all I care. Or Avatar skin, whatever fictional world you're into— you'd still be one hell of a sight."

"Shrek skin? C'mon, you're just saying that."

"Watch it, I get real aggressive about affection," a pair of strong arms pulled you to his side and you giggled against the material of his shirt, trying to slap his arms away from you. "God was like, damn, a full package. Gotta balance it out somehow."

It was incredible, how fast Sam could get you laughing. But there you were, laughing at his antics with the show long-forgotten on the screen, his arms secure around you and a pretty smile on his lips. He was a man of acceptance, after all, and you were sure that given the chance, he could restore world peace in a week with his delicious cookouts and wonderfully thought speeches.

"Shut the hell up," you chuckled, shaking your head. "It doesn't even bother me, it's my own skin. Just makes me wish that I was a bit luckier."

"That's a good thing, you know, being alright with it." his fingers found your hair then, giving the area a few loving pats before carding them through your locks. It was as if his tone changed when he started to speak again, and you'd recognize that speech pattern anywhere. "Health-wise, accepting and embracing something kinda works like a placebo, you know? Whether it's a mental thing or, you know, something physical— when you're like, alright, I'm doing this and that to cure this thing, but at the same time, I'm not gonna be all like, damn this thing—"

"God, not one of these speeches again—"

"Listen, you ungrateful brat," his faux offense made you laugh again, as you watched him press his palm against his chest where his heart is supposed to be. "People don't pay therapists for nothing."

"I know, I know." you cuddled onto him more. "M'sorry, go on?"

"I will, for fifty bucks."

"FIFTY?!" you raised your head from his shoulder to look up at him, eyes wide in shock.

"Do you have any idea how expensive therapy is?! Thirty at most, pay up or shut up!"

Sam is grrm's self insert . Thats why his chapters has to be some of the most boring. He projects all his insecurities of his body to this character ,while at the same time making him a pure little meow meow .So they shouldn't complain over us not caring about or dedicating events on him

I have to disagree. I think Sam is an interesting character. He's GRRM's take on Samwise Gamgee. He doesn't have direwolves or dragons, he isn't a greenseer or a good fighter. He is a good guy and smart, who can also be cunning and look out for his own self interests if necessary (As Jon points out in their AFfC/ADwD chapter). Sam scheming to make Jon LC was mainly about his own well being. Not to mention, he has met Bran and Arya and I suspect that he will meet up with Dany and Tyrion in the next book and he looks to be the character who connects the key 5.

He's the Everyman character in a fantasy novel. People point to Sansa as being this character, but I personally enjoy and relate more to Sam's underdog story and his struggles. I find intelligence attractive and Sansa’s selfish stupidity is a bit too much idiocy for my tastes.

As for Sam being a self-insert, I agree that there is a lot of GRRM in him. However there is a lot of Martin in many of his other favorite characters as well. Would you call them boring?

Tommy’s me . . . but no more than all the others. Robb is me in "Song for Lya," as Dirk is me in Dying of the Light . . . though Arkin Ruark and Jaan Antony in that one are both me as well. Abner Marsh is me, as his proud sidewheeler Fevre Dream is the excursion boat to Far Rockaway, only the passengers drink blood instead of Kool-Aid. Sandy Blair is J-school me, Peter Norten is chess club me, Kenny Dorchester is me trying to lose weight. Holt in "The Stone City," he’s the kid lying in the grass, staring up at distant stars. Trager is me on a dark night of the soul, bleeding poison from three wounds named Josie, Laurel, Rita. Jon Snow has me in him, and Sam Tarly. The women too, Lyanna and Shaara, and the girls, Arya and Adara . . . Daenerys Stormborn, searching for that house with the red door. And Tyrion Lannister? Oh, yes. The Imp is me in spades, the horny little bastard

GRRM has mentioned how much he identifies with Sam getting bullied as a lonely kid, with Dany's loss of her home and family legacy, with Arya, Jon and Tyrion’s underdog status.

Being an author self-insert doesn't automatically have to make a character boring or badly written or less interesting. Tyrion is one of the most interesting characters in the books, and I wouldn't call him a 'pure meow meow'.

I will agree that instead of attacking another blogger for calling Sam a ‘minor character’, why not spend that energy celebrating one’s favorite character by creating character appreciation events! It’s stans like that who end up making everyone hate these characters. There’s a whole group of people who think that GRRM is writing Sam as a stand in for Sansa! Like, he’s not even a character, let alone a minor character according to them - his only purpose in the story is to provide Jonsa foreshadowing. These people will interact with Jonsas and share, like and reblog each other’s post because they all love Sansa. The minute someone who is not up Sansa’s ass says something they disagree with, that’s the time to get all up in arms and make a fuss.

I still find it mindboggling that they couldn’t just message the blog and politely note their objections to that label. Or even just ignore it. It was not about Sam as a character. It’s about them as a person.

Not Sam the literal guy who told us not to put so much energy into vacations & time off, crying over his life “feeling like a job” now. Wasnt this the same man who has been posting about expensive meals, and amazing friends, and amazing parties, and woo hoo this and woo hoo that?? So it’s all been for show you say? And he really wasnt or hasnt been “having the time of his life?”. I think instead of buying self help books for dummies, this man needs to take a crash course on sociology, and human behavior/social environment to really understand where most of his followers are coming from because he does not present himself to be relatable at all. Its like me reading one history chapter and calling myself a historian. He works for himself and complains more than someone like myself with a grummy 9-5 would, and not saying he isnt allowed to complain but why write bullshit think piece after bullshit think piece telling fans that vacations and relaxing arent all thats cracked up to be. He goes back and forth. Why not be real and show who you really are rather than pretending shitty music being played by a boombox is making you have the time of your life with “friends” who come and go yet always seem to be the best people ever for 2.5 seconds.

Sorry for ranting but this kid is really getting on my nerves, and i think you always give real raw opinions on them instead of sugar coating everything.

I will say this: for better or worse, his speech on snap yesterday was probably the most real I've ever seen him be. No bullshit, no trying to sell us a bill of goods about how great life is...nope, it was just, "Things are really hard and I'm very stressed about it."

I appreciated hearing that more than some "working all day, everyday, is the only way you'll ever achieve true greatness and happiness," bs.

Sam is hard to figure out and relate to, because he's so damn focused on building a persona of himself instead of just being himself that it just comes across sometimes (to me at least) as someone who is just playing a part in a one-man show that we all didn't know we bought tickets to, and that's the thing that can sometimes be grating about his little "think" pieces. They aren't always genuine, they aren't always true, and I don't think they are truly him- they come off as the him he wants to be perceived as, and not the person he is inside.

I also think a lot of his posts about loving the job and the grind and the "party life" is all part of that- he wants to be perceived as a fun guy with a great life and an internal library of great stories and life lessons because of it, and sometimes he has to alter the perception a bit to make the reality he's presenting fit the narrative he's tryjng to present, you know what I mean? I believe they call it "smoke and mirrors."

Now, does that mean he isn't always having a grand time in life? No, he does have a unique and high adrenaline, fun life and I'd love to hear all about it- but I can never tell with him when he's genuinely having fun and having a good day vs when the smoke and mirrors are out in full force and hes trying to justify a way to continue to live at as fast of a pace as he's living, or trying to sell this made up perception of himself. Whats real and what's a bill of goods? I don't know. I don't even know if he knows anymore, which is a little sad.

The food posts, btw, are them just trying to use payola to their advantage to get a free meal, which I have no issue with- if I had that kind of juice, you'd best believe I'd never pay for food again lol.

Anyway, for once, he wasn't sugar coating shit yesterday. He wasn't trying to sell anyone (at least on snap) on how great life is. He's stressed, his life choices are starting to cost him strain in places he didn't realize he couldn't afford to have strained (primarily relationships) and he's approaching burnout.

And btw- I said they would burn out eventually, if they had to do their own editing. I said this back when their fandom bullied them back into doing their own editing again, and look where we are, right on cue. Sam's crying in the parking lot of the post office, Colby's turned into a self help guru on snapchat as a way to try and avoid his own issues, they've got two mansions and no furniture in either one and that is somehow a great symbolism for how empty their lives are right now.

Let these boys have editors.

Anywho, Sam, if youre out there in tumbrland (please dont be out there in tumblrland): I'd appreciate it greatly if you were more honest and direct, not just with us, but with yourself more often. Not everything needs to be a Ted talk, a teachable moment, or a self-help quote. Sometimes, life is awesome and sometimes it's balls. Be honest and raw and not preachy about it all, and for fucks sake- stop trying to sell that more work = more happiness, cause you, Sam and Colby, are a textbook example of that not always being the case.

Also, please don't ever tell people again that vacations aren't the bomb dot com, as we used to say way back in the 1990s. Downtime is a necessary tool for anyone looking to not burn out completely.

I typically write out my thoughts on my notes app(have a folder just for your stories🤧) bc this is me trying to be organized lol . Anyways this time I did fully put down my thoughts I just forgot to send it through here like a dummy lol BUT I DID NOT FORGET ABT YOU BESTIE!!! So here are my thoughts lol

YOU TRULY KNOW HOW TO KEEP THE STORY GOING IN SUCH A GOOD WAY!!! You know I love anytime Niall shows up in your stories bc you truly write him so well, I NEED HIM!

when i tell you once I read that she unexpectedly feel down, I just knew that Ava was behind bc my heart DROPPED! And then she apologized, my heart felt so sad :( I mean I can't blame her because I do the same thing too and it's a hard habit to break! Then them talking about the eggs... PAIN PAIN PAIN ALL AROUND! But I like it, it keeps the story moving!

Also I am not mad at here for wanting to be friends with him at all! Like personally I would have just been stubborn and guarded but I know I would have folded soon lol BUT THATS WHY I AM NOT HER, SHES HER OWN SELF! And Niall is gone so I don't blame her and shes in love so yeah lol oh and that "munchkin" part 💔💔💔 so good!

NOW I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO HAPPY TO KNOW THAT SOMEONE WAS CHEATING EVER!! like I really felt that Ava was cheating or had cheated on him and like it was so satisfying to see that unfold, like it may sound fucked but it felt nice to know lol And maybe Im feeling just a tad bit petty but I kinda liked to see harry grovel a bit but only a tiny bit! bc it is very hard to get out of a toxic and manipulative relationship and it is something hard too do no matter shitty it was! He does has some healing to do and its a process but still happy for both to be out of it ya know.

And the end... SAM😭😭😭😭AHHHH so so so GOOD!!!!!

Side note I saw that some anon was just being straight up mean and that is not okay. It's one thing to give constructive criticism and that's fair but there is no need for just straight up saying they don't like. we all experienced something not being for us and that's okay but I would never just be mean to that author, ever. And I want you to know for every thing you post no matter what is such a gift! And I want you to never forget how loved and appreciated you are! love you so much!-💜

I love Niall so much if I wasn't a Harry-girl I would be feral for Niall. Honestly, sometimes I still am. I see tiktoks of him and I'm like 🤤 Personally, I think he should be illegal. He's really fun to write and I wish I could tear myself away from Harry for two seconds to write a fic about Niall.

I'm glad you feel that way about her wanting to be friends. I really wanted to them to NOT be friends but I also would have folded very quickly. I also wanted to keep the plot going and I didn't want to be like *seven months later* because I think the whole Niall moving thing is still fresh so idk it made sense when I did it so I'm glad you're good with it! I love my munchkins 💕

When i started this story I didn't WANT you guys to like Ava but I wanted to keep an air of mystery but I think everyone assumed she was probs doing something worse (not that that makes Harry's thing okay) but again part of my process was ensuring that Ava would sound AWFUL when the time came to announce her secret.

Don't you worry about groveling and healing, I got you covered 🤣

You're so so nice 😭 I have a bit of a pleasing-complex so I feel so bad when I disappoint people. I shouldn't let it get to me but it's easier said than done.
