The winner is the Ares guy 🎉🎉🎉 (i forgot his name) I know his company is kinda a whole human experiment on children, but it's harder to prove it than with Alius or Zoolan Rice, since he managed to pass it as next level education by a respected company ... He also got outsmarted by some teenager, he is more likely to hire me as his lawyer even if i don't have a diploma. He also got rekt by a first year of middleschool, i know i can take him on a fight if he ever got out of control.

A Night To Remember

Emma and Layla are sisters, 7 years apart. Layla is a real estate agent and Emma is a successful lawyer. Since their father’s untimely death, they had each other. Everything was going well until one night on Emma’s 25th birthday and another case won in court, they encounter a mysterious man at a club where they were celebrating. Dracula took interest in Emma, but not Layla, which made her jealous. With their sisterhood put to the test, will they still be close in the end or will that of what they had be severed forever?

“Another case won, client found innocent and is adjourned.” Emma said proudly as she sat back in her chair in her home office. As she was enjoying the bliss of her success, her cell phone buzzed. Emma forgot she had her phone on silent during a court case. She looked at the caller ID and saw that her sister, Layla was calling. Layla and Emma had been there for each other since the death of their father. Layla actually raised her sister by herself until Emma was old enough to get a job each of them support each other during their time pursuing their careers. Layla became a real estate agent while Emma became a lawyer. It was a long, hard road, but they both have succeeded.

Emma picked up the phone, answered it and said, “Hey Layla, how’s it going?“ Emma replied, “Not so good. Emma sat up in her chair and asked, sounded concerned. “Something happen?” “ Another client bailed out on the house tour that they were interested in purchasing.” Layla said, sounding disappointed. “With that being said, get yourself ready, we are going out tonight for your birthday.” Emma completely forgot that day she won the case was her birthday. “Oh man, I completely forgot about that. Give me half an hour and I’ll be right out.“ Emma says goodbye to her sister and got up, went up the stairs and got herself ready to go out.

7 PM rolled around, Emma and Layla went to the club, called “Moonshine.” it is a very social place. Almost everyone in the club knew Emma and Layla, since they both do come there more often on the weekends, but on this day was very special. Emma just turned 25 and one the case proving her client innocent. As they sat down in the corner of the club and enjoying themselves, Emma had that strange feeling that she was being watched. She looked around and saw nobody and went back to talking to her sister.

But for some reason, she could not shake off the feeling that somebody was watching her. But before she could say anything else, she heard somebody say right beside her, “Good evening, ladies, I hope you don’t mind if I sit here.” Emma and Layla looked up to see a handsome, well dressed looking man who looks to be no more than his late 30s to early 40s. He spoke in Romanian accent, but very delicately indeed. “Oh no, sir. Please, take a seat.” Emma said, as she patted the seat that he was pointing at. “Forgive me for interrupting, may I ask for your names?”, he asked. “I’m Layla, and this is my sister, Emma, and today is her birthday, and of course, she just won another case. And may we ask who we are speaking to?” Dracula raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Are you a lawyer?”, he asked. Emma replied, “I am certainly indeed a lawyer.”

“And may I asked what you do for a living young lady?” he asked Layla. “I am a real estate agent”. “Well, it seems that not only you to are sisters, but you both have very successful careers. Please, call me Vladimir”. He said, bowing his head. “Most likely, Emma”., Layla mumbled under her breath. “Well, in that case…” Dracula called out to the waiter, and said to him, “Please bring me one of your best champagne bottles and put it on my tab.” The waiter nodded his head in agreement.

Layla looked at Emma and said to her, “Seems that you’re going to be getting all the attention tonight”., Emma looked at her sister and said, nudging her,“No, I am not.” As it is starting to get late and everything in the club began to calm down, Emma and Layla were just about to leave until Dracula stopped Emma, “My dear Emma, I would love to see you again, if that is all right with you, if you’re not busy this week.”

Emma thought that she felt her heart drop when he asked her. “Layla, I’ll be right there.” She said to Layla and she turned back to Dracula. She replied, “Well, I’m off Friday tomorrow evening. Does that sound OK?”Dracula looked at her with a smile and said, “That sounds perfect. 8:30 sharp?”, he asked. Emma nodded her head. “I really have to go, I don’t want to keep my sister waiting.” Dracula said, “Of course, I wished to not keep the birthday girl for too long. Happy birthday, Emma. I hope you enjoyed your evening.” “I most certainly did. See you tomorrow night. Oh, here’s my phone number.” Emma pulled out her business card and gave it to Dracula and got into a car. She waved at Dracula as Layla, who had a look of jealousy on her face, floored it as they went down the road.

“Whoa Layla! Please slow down! I don’t want us to get pulled over!” Emma said, and she felt herself being jolted back in her chair. As soon as they drove up to Emmas’ house, she turned to her sister and asked her, “Is there something wrong, Layla? You’ve been awfully quiet ever since we left the club.” Layla looked at her sister and said, “No, I’m fine, I’m just trying to hurry up and get home so I can sleep all the alcohol off. I hope you enjoyed yourself. Happy birthday.” Emma smiled at her sister as she got out of the car. She turned her sister and said, “Thank you for everything, Layla . Have a good night and drive safe.”

Layla nodded as she drove off, causing the tires to screech down the road. As Emma was walking up the stairs to her house and looking through her purse to find her keys, she remembered that her sister’s journal was in her bag because earlier as they were heading to the club, Layla was writing in it, and asked Emma to hold it for her as she were driving. She find her keys, open the door and walked in her home. As she locked the door, she looked at the journal, and something told her to read it. At first, she didn’t want to. But her curiosity got the best of her and opened the journal and read the last entry that Layla put in.

As she read the last entry, she was shocked beyond belief that her sister was saying so many nasty things about her behind her back. It read –

“I can’t believe that I lost another client. And I can’t believe that my sister has won another case. What is her secret? Why does she have to be so successful and I am failing in my real estate agency? That’s like the fourth client I lost this month. I hate my sister. I wish she never existed.

“It is all her fault that my mother is no longer here because of her! My father always paid more attention to her than to me. She always gets everything! One way or the other, I will find a way to get her out of the picture… For good! As of right now, today’s her birthday and this is the last time I will be nice to her. I just wish my mother was here, so that she could take her place!” 

Emma immediately dropped the novel on the floor as she read the last sentence. “How could she say stuff like this about me? I’m her sister. What have I ever done to her?” She thought as tears begin to run down her face. She was knocked out of her thoughts at the sound of knocking on her door. She picked up the journal, placed it on the table and went to the door and looked through the peep hole. It was Layla. She opened the door and said “Hey, I thought you went home.” She said. Layla greeted her with a smile and said, “the reason why I came back here, because I do believe that you have some thing that I asked you to hold onto.”

Emma immediately remembered the journal, and did her best to not let her know that she read her last entry. “Oh, this book?” She asked as she went to the table and walk toward Layla and handed it to her. Layla took it and said to her, “Thank you very much.” And she walked away. Emma said good night to her and close the door. As she shut the door and locked it back, she began to break down and cried as she slid down the door and felt her heart had been torn to pieces. As this was happening, little did she know that Dracula was watching nearby as Layla made her way to her car and drove home.
