Reassurance
I needed some positive affirmations and I made Tech give em. No real warnings, but light discussion of anxiety.
2.8k words
Tumblr media
You asked Wrecker to train with you and you keep getting knocked on your ass. Tech offers to help and ends up helping more than you thought possible.
It's a comfort fic mostly and I'm feral for some Tech comfort. Enjoyyyy (Also let me know if you can spot the other potential prompt in here.)
“You’re doing it wrong.” Wrecker chuckled.
You hit the sparring mat hard, knocking some of the air from you. Since surrendering your lightsaber, you took to honing your other combat skills. Wrecker’s hand-to-hand skills were some of the best and he was happy to help when you approached him.
He towered over you as you got back on your feet. “You need to put your weight into it.”
“I am.” You didn’t mean to sound as annoyed as you did.
“No you’re not.” Crosshair taunted in a sing-song tone from his place leaning against a far wall. The downtime was rare and Crosshair deemed watching you flounder worthy of that time. “You hesitate every time you need to push harder. An easy way to get killed.”
You whirled on him. “I push as hard as I can.” Everything about the thin sniper got under your skin. In a way that made you want to hurry up and see what face he’d make when you slap him across the face. Because it wasn’t and if. It was absolutely a when.
Multiple times you caught him watching you. When you did, his stare stayed on whatever part had caught his attention before slowly meeting your eyes. The way he smirked and chewed that fucking toothpick screamed, ‘Do it, I dare you.’
Crosshair shook his head dismissively and snorted. “No. You’re not.”
Wrecker stepped between you and Crosshair, his massive frame blocking your view. His hands were splayed out in a placating gesture.“What he means is you’re holding back.”
“Or maybe she’s afraid of hurting you.” Crosshair quipped.
Wrecker belted out a laugh, “Ha! Yeah, right.” At that, you cut him a mean look.
The door to the sparring room hissed open and Tech filed in, out of armor and no databad in hand. He took in the sight of you all, to his eyes, just standing around. “Well that was short lived. I thought you’d be sparring most of the afternoon.”
“We are.” Your temper was quickly burning through your patience. “They just have some unhelpful commentary.”
“Perhaps, although you do not handle criticism well.” Tech turned to Wrecker. “What seems to be the issue?”
Wrecker chose his words carefully, wary of the intensity of your glare. "She..." He paused, feeling the weight of your disapproving stare. "She hits a wall and hesitates when she needs to push through."
Tech pondered for a moment, tapping a knuckle to his chin. “I’d like to see what exactly you mean. I may be able to troubleshoot this obstacle.” He tipped his head to you. “If you don’t mind my watching.”
Your stomach flipped. There hadn't been many opportunities for the two of you to be alone. In fact, you hadn’t been alone since your last mission ended. You were discreet in seeking out his company, mindful of not being too obvious. Despite helping you with your broken armor before and acknowledging, even relishing, your attraction to him, nothing more had come of it. You were starting to wonder if it had just been a passing interest for him.
Wrecker and you assumed your positions while Tech adjusted his goggles, a soft beep indicating the start of his recording.
You followed the familiar routine, blending the techniques Wrecker had taught you with those instilled by your former Master. Initially, everything flowed smoothly as you utilized your agility to evade Wrecker's raw strength. There were moments when you successfully countered his attacks and seized the offensive. However, as Wrecker intensified his efforts, a tightness began coiling in your stomach that radiated into your limbs.
The sensation swelled, threatening to overflow or overwhelm you entirely. Just as it had countless times before, the intensity reached a dizzying point where you could no longer anticipate Wrecker's moves. Ultimately, in your attempt to flank him, Wrecker landed an elbow to your chest, sending you sprawling onto your back.
The wind knocked out of you again, leaving you writhing on the floor. Another beep came from Tech’s direction. Recording over I guess.
Wrecker rushed to you. “I think we should stop for today.”
“Agreed.” Tech said firmly as he approached. Kneeling down, he made himself at home inspecting your head for injuries. “While phrenospasms aren’t typically life threatening, it is best to rest after experiencing them.” After a moment of silence, Tech sighed, “You need to catch your breath.”
Wrecker winced, knelt down, and slid a hand under your back to ease you into a sitting position. “Sorry about that, sarad,” His large hand did a few circles on your back before sliding to your cheek. The soft gesture soothed you. “But you’ll get it!” He gave you one last pat on the back before standing up.
Tech clicked his tongue disapprovingly. "I'll check her over," he announced, his annoyance evident. Waving off their presence in a bored manner, he added, "It would be best if that happened without any 'unhelpful commentary.'”
Crosshair pushed off of the wall. “Well, if you’re looking for someone else to knock you down, I’ll gladly do it.” You nearly bit his leg as he walked by.
When the door shut and you were alone, Tech pulled your face back in his direction. “Do not dwell on Crosshair’s remarks. He enjoys getting a rise out of people.” With his arm cradling your back, he held your arm and brought the two of you to your feet. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, yeah,” You took a deep breath in, stepped out of his grasp, and rolled your shoulders. “Just need to practice.” Tech's gaze remained focused on you, analyzing your every move. "When you started hesitating, right before Wrecker landed that hit, you were thinking something. What was it?"
“I wasn’t thinking of anything.” You said quickly, hoping he would drop it.
He didn’t. “You were definitely processing something. Other than your sparring, what were you feeling?”
You turned and blinked at Tech. He never failed to surprise you. “Emotionally?” Analyzing the failures in your strategy was one thing, asking about feelings was a completely separate realm.
Tech shook his head, “No, no. Physically” He walked forward and placed a hand in the middle of your chest. “Just now, you may not be thinking a singular thought but you are feeling your heart rate spiking. Am I correct?” He could feel it himself, but it was important you acknowledged it.
Of course he was correct, his touch kicked your heart into your throat.
When you nodded he continued. “It is safe to say that is due to your attraction to me. While you may not be actively thinking about it, your body is reacting with patterned behavior due to recurring circumstantial stimuli.” He pulled his hand back and said, “In other words, our bodies remember how we react during significant events. When exposed to similar circumstances our bodies tend to react in an established pattern. It can be positive, like nostalgia. Or it can be detrimental in the cases of fear or stress. Our bodies react before our minds can register what we feel.” He let out a final quip, “It is a survival instinct.”
Tech stepped back and rolled a hand towards you, urging you on. “Now, what were you feeling?”
Taking a second to take what he said in, you realized no one had ever asked you that. The Jedi pointed out identified concerning behavior in you and voiced their warnings, but they never asked you where it stemmed from. They made their theories that then solidified into fact. After that, not much changed their minds. One abided by their rules … or left.
Seeing how you were stationed with a squad of clones sans a lightsaber, it was clear where your path went.
Your gaze wandered around the room - anywhere but at Tech. “Something built inside me and I lost focus.”
“Your avoidant behavior suggests this is an uncomfortable topic. Why?”
As well meaning as his questioning may have been, showing him what the Jedi Council had seen hadn’t been at the top of your priorities. “It’s just… I know there’s something wrong with me. But don’t worry,” You tried to laugh it off, “I’ll figure it out.”
Tech’s brows furrowed and his head tilted, clearly confused as to how you got to that conclusion, “I did not say, nor do I believe, you are defective.” The last word snapped your eyes back to him. It didn’t carry weight for just you. “Did the Jedi tell you that?”
Suddenly you could hear your Master’s voice, ‘Dangerous.’ It rang through you and with it came shame. Looking at Tech, patiently asking you questions for your own benefit, your Master’s voice fell silent.
“I can’t fight like the Jedi. They fight with the force to keep peace for the greater good.” You hesitate before continuing. “But this energy builds inside of me and I want to use it because sometimes… sometimes I want to win no matter the cost.” Tech’s expression had not changed; he did not seem to grasp the issue. Desperately, you clasped your hands to your chest. “That’s wrong. It’s selfish and that’s not the way of the Jedi. Being selfish can make us - “ You flinched, “them dangerous. Jedi aren’t supposed to want things. I want a great many things, Tech, and the list only grows. The way I am makes me weak minded and dangerous.”
“When you say that you feel this way ‘sometimes,’ what kind of instances are you referring to?”
“The times when losing will cost me something I care about.”
“There is no passion, there is serenity.” Tech recited one of the tenets of the Jedi. “There is no emotion, there is peace.”
“Exactly.” His boundless knowledge earned him a humorous scoff from you.
Tech hummed in understanding. “I can see the Jedi perspective on such traits, considering their Code. However, I'm struggling to discern the correlation between that and your issue with Wrecker. It's merely a practice session, therefore you're not in danger of losing anything beyond the match itself.
You both stood in silence for a few moments. Reflecting on what you confessed and with eyes on the ground, you finally spoke, “I asked Wrecker to spar because I want to know that when I fight I will win. I lose focus because losing to Wrecker now means I’m going to lose something more important than a match in the future.”
An extra set of feet came into sight followed by Tech’s face.
Tech knelt to meet your eyes, adjusting his goggles to better observe you. "The logic in that statement is flawed, at best." he remarked, his tone measured.
"Individual motivations and morals in combat varies from person to person. As long as your primary motive isn’t causing others or yourself pain, there is no wrong way to survive."
"What if my actions to protect what matters to me hurts others?" The genuine fear on your face caught Tech off guard. "If I prioritize a few, what about the rest?" Your self-doubt and self-loathing troubled Tech; it was a burden you didn't deserve to bear.
“There will always be champions for the many. The few, however, need their champions too.” A slight quirk of his lips hinted at a comforting reassurance. "Additionally, if you're using losing to Wrecker as a benchmark for your future success rates, I'd advise adjusting your expectations. Even General Skywalker himself lost a sparring match to Wrecker. Merely holding your own against him is an accomplishment worthy of pride."
The way your face contorted paired with you sinking to your knees made him worry you might be sick. Instead you sucked in a massive breath and on a shakey exhale you said, “Tech, thank you.” You sounded lighter. A point of satisfaction for Tech.
There was something Tech wanted for you. “What you feel and how you feel is valid. It is crucial you know that.” He cupped his hand just below your ear to smooth his thumb over your cheek. “Until you do, I am glad to remind you.”
Tech’s eyes fell to your lips momentarily, your pained expression warmed into a small smile. There was only one thing missing. He moved his hand to brush his thumb over your bottom lip. Your breath caught, and your lips parted involuntarily. "I am curious to hear about this growing list of wants." Slipping his forefinger under your chin he moved your gaze with his as he raised to his knees, posturing over you. It gave him a full view of the flush finally working its way across your cheeks. "Have there been any recent additions?"
Looking at the way your hair was bound together, he didn’t deny the urge to explore a few things. He hooked finger into your hair tie and pulled your hair loose. It fell down, some of it falling into your face. Tech use his fingers to comb your hair back, stopping at the nape of your neck, and then circling his hand back to your cheek. Watching you over the past few rotations, he’d noticed your fondness for your face being touched.
Leaning into his touch, with a hand resting over his, you were practically purring for him. “There have.” You said, spurring him on.
“Do people appear on this list?”
Your nod came with a subtle shift in your gaze, your eyes half-lidded. Tech felt a flutter in his chest, he even felt heat creeping into his own face.
"Do I feature on this list?" he ventured, his voice betraying a bit of anticipation.
Your eyes drifted to his lips before meeting his gaze once more. "I want you, Tech," you confessed, a weighty emotion evident in your expression.
Tech's breath caught in his throat, his heart pounding as he lowered himself slightly. In response, you leaned forward, closing the distance between you. "What exactly do you want, sarad?" he inquired softly.
Just as he hoped, your eyes widened for a split second at the sound of their nickname for you. It meant "flower" in Mando'a—a fitting description for how you blossomed in their presence, and at this moment, in his.
"Stars above, I want you to kiss me.” Without hesitation, you seized Tech, drawing him down to your level. When your lips hit, Tech only tensed for a second, his hand finding its place at your waist, drawing you closer and deepening the kiss. You responded eagerly, capturing his lower lip with a gentle suck.
A soft, pleased sound escaped Tech's lips as he tightened his grip on your hair, pulling you impossibly closer. Your hands roamed freely, one wrapping around his back while the other found its place around his neck. With a forceful tug you two stumbled backward in unison.
Not breaking the kiss, Tech shoved the hand on your waist out to cushion the fall. Once lowered onto your back, he pulled away to hover over you and allowed you both some air. You didn’t let him pull too far away, stopping him by hooking a leg around his. The pressure of you grinding up into him pulled another little sound from him. His eyes squeezed shut before he playfully pressed his weight down onto you. “I will say one thing.”
With a playful huff, you teased, "Only one thing this time?"
Tech arched an eyebrow in amusement. "Just this once." With deliberate movements, he pushed himself up onto one elbow, transitioning back onto his knees, while simultaneously lifting you to him and allowing your legs to hang around his waist.
You pulled yourself up onto his lap, holding onto his neck for support. “Go on.”
"You are not weak," Tech affirmed, his hands firmly grasping your thighs as he bounced on his heels and lifted you both up. His movements were fluid as he rose to his feet, a smirk playing on his lips. "But I daresay you are dangerous."
His remark elicited a genuine laugh from you, though it didn't diminish the charm you found in his words. If anything, it heightened it.
With a subtle tap on your leg, he signaled for you to lower your legs. “As enjoyable as this is, I'd prefer not to delve further into it while my brothers could walk in at any moment," he explained, assisting you to regain your balance. With a deft movement, he produced your hair tie as if out of thin air. "I've given great thought to the aspects of you I wish to explore. And I intend to do so without interruption."
Before you could get another touch in Tech stepped back and tapped his goggles, initiating a soft beep. “Now that we’ve identified the issue, get into position and show me your stances.”
You laughed, “You’re kidding me.”
“I am not, but should you need further encouragement I do have ideas for rewards for your strongest positions.”
It didn’t take you long to get into position.

In The Garden Would You Trust Me? (Wrecker x Fem!Jedi!Reader)
This was written for @imarvelatthestars for the @cloneficgiftexchange Di, I hope you enjoy this one!
Notes: No warnings, Jedi reader, injured Wrecker, tending to injuries, self-disparaging Wrecker, discussion of trust, Wrecker feels bad about himself, but you're there to make him feel better.
Tumblr media
"I am so in love with her right now," Wrecker held his head in his hands, keeping his head upright so that he wouldn't have to look away from his general. Your lightsaber cut through the droids that had ambushed them like shaak butter.
Tech coughed sharply and waved his flashlight, "Wrecker, eyes on me." He needed to see if his brother had another concussion. Wrecker hesitated, so Tech finally grabbed his chin, forcing his brother to let himself be examined.
"We've gotta get him out of here!" You were suddenly standing over them, and Wrecker stared at your hand on his shoulder, unaware of the dorky little smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
Hunter, however, didn't, and couldn't resist a conspiratorial grin beneath his helmet, "We can hold them off, can you get him to safety?"
Tech missed Hunter's intentions, "The general is the most formidable of all of us, if anyone is going to press forward with the mission is should be her-"
Hunter gripped Tech's shoulder tightly, "The general has the medical training to take care of Wrecker for now, but she doesn't have your prowess with technology."
"Hey!" You teased, though it was true. No one could best Tech's skills with hacking and reprogramming.
"Still, It would be quiet unorthodox if the general was unable to ensure the completion of the- ow!" Tech batted Hunter's hand from his shoulder.
You laughed softly, "A true leader protects their people," You said wisely, "Besides, if I can't count on you boys to take down this prison outpost, who can I trust?"
Wrecker felt a bit ashamed at that. Did you mean that you couldn't trust him? He did tend to get a little overexcited from time to time, but you always picked him to stand by your side and to stay with him to disarm any explosives you encountered on your missions. Had he been mistaken in thinking that meant that you trusted him?
Tech humphed, "Very well. Though we should move quickly, another wave of droids is making their way towards us."
You nodded and slung Wrecker's arm over your shoulder.
Surprisingly, the rest of his body followed, laid across your shoulders like the spoils of a hunt. If Wrecker hadn't been in love before, he was a goner now.
"See you at the rendezvous, boys!" You bid farewell to his brothers, and then Wrecker was flying.
He'd seen you use the force before; leaping to incredible heights, deflecting a hailstorm of blasterfire, calming the angriest gundarks, even making a tiny flower bloom right before his eyes, but it was another thing entirely to experience it for himself.
You'd explained it to him before: the force was an energy field that connected everything together. He could almost feel that energy field himself in this moment. The air around him tingled, like right before an explosion was primed to go off. Is this what you felt like all the time? It was exhilarating.
You came to a stop some klicks away from the Separatist outpost the others were supposed to infiltrate to find the Wookie prisoners and lay Wrecker down to rest against the trunk of a grand wroshyr tree
"How's your head?" You asked.
Wrecker shrugged, "Dizzy, but it doesn't hurt right now."
"Are you nauseous?"
Wrecker shook his head, and instantly regretted it, "Whoops, now I am."
You pushed him backwards until he was sitting on one of the large, exposed roots, and helped him lean forward to bring his head between his knees.
"Stay like that until it feels better, focus on this leaf and try not to think about throwing up." You placed said leaf on the ground between his feet, and as he looked at it, Wrecker felt his headache fading. You were a lot better at this medical thing that Tech was, more patient, more gentle.
"You're a good medic," He mumbled.
"Why thank you," You grabbed a stick that could serve as a temporary splint for his leg, comparing it to the size of his leg to see if it would hold.
"I wish you could be our medic all the time, you're way better than Tech." Wrecker continued, trying to focus on that one leaf like you'd said. It was still a little blurry, but it was getting better if he concentrated.
You giggled, "Then who'd be your general?"
"Hmm, good point." Wrecker hummed, "I like that you're my general."
You ducked your head, staring intently at his twisted ankle. "I do too, Wrecker."
Wrecker sat up. He couldn't hear very well with only one good ear, but your quiet tone sounded...off. You were never that quiet. Even when Hunter was trying to sleep, you always spoke in a more exaggerated whisper, always making sure Wrecker could hear.
"You okay, General?" he asked, not sure why he felt so shy. Was it true then? Did you really not trust him to do a good job and that's why you were always hovering next to him?
"Huh? Oh yeah, I'm fine!" You insisted. You tore a few strips of fabric from the hem of your robes, wrapping it around his leg as fast as you could.
"Yow!" You wrapped it a little too tightly, and Wrecker yanked his foot out of your grasp.
"Sorry! Sorry, I wasn't paying attention!" you blabbered out apologies, quickly unwrapping the bandage so that you could adjust it. You bit your lip, but your nerves had already spread to Wrecker, who anxiously tapped his fingers against the wroshyr roots while he waited for you to finish bandaging his ankle.
"General?" He started, trying to speak calmly so he wouldn't spook either of you again, "Do you trust me?"
Your hands froze, "Do I what?" Finally, you looked up, puzzlement in your radiant eyes.
Wrecker's heart did a summersault and he gulped.
"I know I can be a bit...a bit much, and sometimes I miss things that are obvious to people like Tech, but I just-"
Both your comms beeped insistently, interrupting Wrecker's heartfelt confession. It was Hunter.
"General, how are you and Wrecker?"
You answered with another curious glance at Wrecker, and he felt embarrassed for even asking.
"We're alright, Sergeant, we're out of danger and getting him all bandaged up."
"Good. The wookiee prisoners are free, and we've handed out the extra weapons we were able to carry."
Wrecker sighed heavily. He was missing all the action! What good was he all bandaged up and stuck on the sidelines? No wonder the General didn't trust him.
He stood up, with every intention of marching back to the outpost to help his brothers, to prove to you that he could be just as reliable as Tech or Hunter, but his ankle just wouldn't support his weight. It slipped out from under him, and he pitched forward.
"Woah!" You were under him in a second, arms wrapped around his torso to keep him from falling face-first into another complex root system.
"...Is everything alright?" Hunter asked over the comms.
"We're fine, hold the outpost for now, and wait for General Windu's regiment to meet you." You cut the comm, and adjusted your hold on Wrecker so that you could look up at him.
"I can't leave you alone for a second without you getting into trouble, can I?" You asked.
Wrecker tried to dig the toe of his boot into the dirt, "I don't mean to, general."
"I know you don't," You grinned at him, and kissed the tip of his nose.
Wrecker froze, heat gathering on his cheeks.
He wasn't thinking. He knew he wasn't, but he never had much of a filter in the first place.
"You're beautiful," He whispered.
Your face went bright red.
"Thank you," You said softly.
You were both silent as you helped him sit back on his throne of roots, and you knelt in front of him, squeezing his hands to grab his attention before his thoughts could start to wander again.
"I trust you Wrecker, I promise. More than even your brothers."
"More than Hunter?" Wrecker asked in surprise.
You nodded, "I promise. Never for a second think that I don't trust you, because I do. Why do you think I always ask you to be my backup every time we have to split up? It's because I know I can trust you to watch out for me the way I look out for you."
Wrecker rubbed the back of his neck with one hand, "Well, I trust you too, General." He said.
You sighed, and opened up your arms, "Get over here, you big goof," you wrapped your arms around his neck, and even before Wrecker could reciprocate, you pressed a kiss to the side of his head.
Wrecker enveloped you in his own arms, holding you close. He may not know exactly what this meant for the two of you, but he might have to get injured more often to find out.

(Bad Batch) Wrecker x Reader: The Gift
Word Count: 1,178
Warnings: Fluff, pining
Author's note: This one goes out to the Wrecker girlies!!! And anyone else who could use some Wrecker content.
You clutched the folded-up cloth tighter in your hand, waiting at the bottom of the steps for a certain Bad Batcher to come walking by after dinner.  As you waited, you were granted the soothing pleasure of watching the sky turn all sorts of vibrant shades as the sun began to dip below the horizon.  The air was still warm: the evening chill hadn’t begun to set yet. You leaned over the stone wall to peer down at how the ocean shone with reflections of the sky.
With the return of Crosshair, and the whole squad safe and sound- not to mention happy- Pabu was starting to feel like home to you.  The peaceful days that passed were precious to you. You treasured each moment you spent with the squad, and it shed a new light on a particular someone.
Afternoons were spent sitting side-by-side on the docks with him, fishing in the sun. You both helped out with different projects around the community, and when you did take breaks, you took them together.  Sometimes the two of you would dig into a picnic basket that you’d packed for lunch, or take a dip in the crystal waters, or just sit in the sand talking and joking around.
You found yourself hardly anywhere but at his side, and him at yours.  It felt like the most natural thing in the world.  Wrecker always had a warmth about him that you liked.  You always thought he was handsome, and you couldn’t deny that you felt your face heat up and heart pound anytime he was near… But there was hardly time to explore that.  The squad had been on the run for so long, and you were always worried about the dynamic that these feelings would bring to the team.
This time on Pabu gave you the chance to simply be with him.  To exist together. To find out more about not only him, but yourself.  It was all new to you.  Life was simple there, happy, and for a short while you could forget about the insanity that had taken over the rest of the Galaxy.  You could forget about the danger that the squad was truly in.
The familiar gaits of your squad were coming down the steps.  You turned around, keeping the folded item behind your back.  Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker and Omega were making their descent, all with smiles on their faces after a filling dinner.  Hunter paused in front of you first, giving you a curious look.
“You good?” he asked.  To be fair, you had left dinner early.  You’d mustered up the courage to grab the gift from your quarters and wait for the opportunity to give it to its intended recipient.
“Yeah, thank you.”
Crosshair chewed on a toothpick, passing by you with a simple nod in your direction.  It was brief but sincere. Omega was at his heels with Wrecker beside her, and the two of them beamed when they saw you.
“Hey, ______,” she greeted.
“Hey!  Missed you at dinner!” Wrecker said.  He gave you a nudge.  “Everything okay?”
“Yeah…Actually, could I have a moment with you?”
“You can have as many as you’d like!” he chuckled.  Omega already knew about the gift, since you’d given her one not too long ago.  She gave you a knowing look, waving at you both kindly, as she continued on her way to catch up with Hunter and Crosshair.
“What’s up?” Wrecker asked
You hesitated, suddenly feeling shy as you had his full attention.  “I got you something. I don’t know, it might be a little silly…but, here.”  You held out the item, embarrassment and excitement wrestling inside you.  Wrecker unfolded and held it up to get a better look.
“Aww, it’s Lula!” he exclaimed, turning the shirt around.  “How-?  Where’d you get this?”
“There’s a shop on the lower levels that prints designs on T-shirts,” you explained happily.  “Omega and I drew one up for you.  She had one made that was similar.”
Wrecker grinned at you.  “It’s the best shirt ever!”  He moved forward to wrap his arms around you, giving you a tight squeeze that made you laugh.  “Thank you!”  You wrapped your arms around his neck and hugged him back, so relieved that he liked the present.  It felt like he might never let you go, but then the embrace did come to an end.  You felt his cheek brush against yours briefly as he carefully put you back down.  “So, uh, what’s the occasion?”
He looked a little nervous, like perhaps he had forgotten an important day.
“It’s just because,” you said.  “I appreciate your friendship.  You’re so fun, and thoughtful, and I really like our talks.”
His eyes softened as he listened to your words, regarding you with a tenderness that you saw in him often.  Wrecker gave a quiet chuckle.  “I like spending time with you too,” he said.  It appeared as if he wanted to say more, but no words came.  He simply gazed back at you in this way, and you found yourself unsure of what to say next.
“Uh, anyway…” You ran a hand over the stone railing beside you idly.  “I have some errands to run before dark.  I’ll see you around.”
“Need any help?”
You shook your head, smiling in appreciation of his offer.  “It’s alright, nothing major.  Thank you though, Wreck.”
“Sure, sure.” He rubbed the back of his neck and watched you take the next stairway towards the market.
Wrecker looked back down at the shirt after you left, running his thumbs over the soft material.  He couldn’t wait to wear it the next time the two of you hung out.  He headed back to where his squad had gone, finding just Hunter and Crosshair seated in a common area with a bonfire going.  Omega appeared to have already gone to bed for the night.
Crosshair was the first to notice what was in Wrecker’s hand.  “What’s that? A gift?” There was no mistaking the subtle teasing in his tone.
“Uh, yeah.”  Wrecker took a seat.  “She got one for Omega too.”
“That doesn’t negate the fact,” Hunter said with the hint of a smile.
Wrecker looked at him.  “What fact?”
“The fact that the girl is crazy for you,” Crosshair replied with the roll of his eyes, irritated that his brother was obviously feigning obliviousness.  He wasn’t about to let his sibling off that easily.  “And you are for her.  So, what’s the hold up?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Wrecker grumbled, folding his arms in a stubborn sort of gesture.  “There’s no hold up.”
Hunter and Crosshair exchanged looks, both raising a brow, but said no more on the matter.  Wrecker leaned back to watch the bonfire while these things went through his mind.
Of course he felt that way about you.  Of course he’d wanted to bring it up for ages, but it never seemed to be quite the right time, so he just carried on as usual.
Maybe it was time to change that.

"Blanket?"
"Check."
"Sunscreen?"
"Cheeks. And on my head. And your face."
"The food?"
"Everything in here."
"Good. Ready to go?"
"Ready when you are," Wrecker grins and holds his hand out for you to take.
Smiling, you reach forward and place your hand in his, walk up to him and stand on your tip toes, to give him a small kiss on his, still slightly creamy cheek.
You feel how his grin widens under your lips and how his hand tightens around yours for a few seconds.
"Okay, let's go," you say, and together you walk out of the door.
The weather is sunny and warm, but the slight breeze allows you to cool off a bit, protecting you from overheating.
It was a perfect day for your date.
It was planned for quite some time already. While you both were dreaming of some piece and quiet time to relax, with some snacks to share and cuddling atop a blanket, waiting for the incoming nightfall, you never actually had the time or capacities to do a picnic in the woods.
But since you've finally settled down on Pabu and everything calmed down a bit, you are finally able to do just what you've dreamed of for so long.
Even though there isn't a big forest on the island, you both are fine with going down to the beach or looking for another spectacular but comfortable place to lay out your blanket.
The walk is like a hike with an open ending, and only to be finished when you find your perfect place, so Wrecker and you are walking hand in hand through the streets and into some looser, wilder terrain.
Even though Pabu has a high population, and you'll always find a small cottage with one or two residents, the island still provides incredible nature.
A small lake follows your path, left and right are some spectacular bushes and plants with the prettiest colors. Above and beneath you are some cliffs that contribute to the mountainous terrain and provide a place to live for many animals.
"Has Tech told you about those birds?" you ask Wrecker as you see one of the white-grayish animals gliding above your heads and entering a small opening on the cliff's side.
Wrecker looks down at you, some sweat sticking to his forehead, before he turns his head at where you're pointing at.
"Uh, bet he did, but I can't remember," he smiles sheepishly and scratches his neck, looking at you with his brown eyes.
"Do you want me to freshen up your memories?" you ask him, knowing that he hates being so forgetful.
"Of course," he nods and looks at you, ready for your incoming ramble.
Grinning, you start to tell him about the animal and some specialties about its beak that is strong enough to dig holes into stone walls. Wrecker listens carefully and asks some questions here and there, encouraging you to share the knowledge you had from his brother, mixed with some of your own research.
You even take a break for a few minutes and watch one of the birds that decided to start digging an entry with purposeful hits.
"Can't promise I'll keep all of that in my head, but you're always welcome to freshen up my memories," he exclaims, looking down at you happily.
"Oh, I will, no worries," you answer and smile back up at him, before starting to follow your path again.
The two of you walk for some more time, and you tell him different things about the various animals you can see or hear, encouraged by his excited looks, before you think you've finally found your place.
It was the edge of a cliff again, but there were different kinds of flowers and plants, making the floor a colored but beautiful mess. You can perfectly see the ocean from here, and you'll know the sunset is going to be amazing. The place is also secluded, a little bit higher up, so no one will come and disturb you, you're sure of that.
Wrecker puts down his bag and fishes out the blanket, shaking it a little bit before putting it onto the floor, careful to place it somewhere without many flowers, as not to destroy them.
Excited, you jump onto the fabric and pull him down with you, getting at your bags to pull out the different foods you took with you.
"I'm so hungry," he rumbles, and a second later you hear his tummy do the same.
Laughing, you place a plate in his hand and start to unwrap your stuff even faster, silently agreeing with him.
You sit close to him, comfortably kneeling next to him and almost touching his legs, which he holds in a cross-legged stance.
"The hike was tiring," you say, and Wrecker nods, holding a slice of jogan fruit up to your face.
Excited, you take a bite and reach for one of them yourself to do the same with him.
"Sweet like you," Wrecker grins, his smile so genuine and pure that you believe him without a second thought.
"But not as sweet as you," you answer, playfully.
Together, you sit and eat for a while, talking, smiling, laughing. Enjoying the view, the food and the company. The sun is shining down on the two of you, warming you up, and almost reflects the happiness you feel at the moment.
When it starts to wander closer and closer to the edge where the ocean kisses the sky, the evening lightning turns darker, golden, red.
The clouds and the sky play a game of red, blue and orange, leaving you two in awe. It isn't the first sunset you've witnessed here on Pabu, but it is by far one of the most mesmerizing ones. Especially since Wrecker is sitting next to you, adding to the beauty of the moment.
You share some sweet kisses and touches, holding each other tightly. You never wanted to go back home again, if you would be able to stay here with him.
Even as the sun swaps with the moon, the sky turns dark, and the stars start to shine bright, you keep on holding each other.
You look at him from the side, observing how his features are illuminated by the silver light. His scar, the crook of his nose, his lips that are pulled up into a small, relaxed smirk, like so often when he's with you.
You could stare at him for hours, not ever getting enough of him.
His big hands affectionately glide over your back, and he draws small patterns with the tip of his fingers. Your thumb, lying on his stomach, does the same.
Suddenly overwhelmed with a few feelings, you snuggle up a little bit more, pressing yourself closer to him.
Shortly, he turns his head over, to look at you, before tugging you right into to his side.
Your chest feels weird, but not in a bad way. It is warm, almost hot, and you feel like there are thousands of little bugs walking in your chest. It tingles, and you wonder again, how so often, if those are the butterflies everyone is talking about. But instead of having them in your belly, they are in your chest.
While you keep looking at him, you enjoy the easy silence that settled between you.  You're only able to hear the sounds of the sea, some birds in the distance, and his even, deep breaths.
The atmosphere is relaxed, balanced. Just right. Like always, when you're with him.
And at this moment, where you lay next to each other, and you're getting lost in his presence, you decide that now is the time.
None of you said it before, being quite too shy or not ready yet.
But at this moment, you know you're ready. You want him to know how you feel. Even if he's not able to say it yet.
You want him to know.
You take all of your courage together, take a deep breath and say his name.
"Wrecker," you whisper into his ear, feeling how your heartbeat quickens and how your fingers start to tingle.
"Yeah?" he asks and turns his head slightly so he can look at you.
The moon illustrates his facial features, make them shine and glow in the right ankles, and underlines his beauty once more. His brown eyes shine with so much kindness and love. They're almost sparkling, and for a second, you lose yourself in them.
Your chest tightens a bit, but still not in a bad way. It feels like your heart skips a beat, and you suddenly feel warm all over your face. You're nervous, but at the same time, you realize again, just how happy you are and how much you want these three words to come out of your mouth.
You take a deep breath, try to calm your nerves a little bit and finally say those words for the first time.
"I love you," you smile and give him a light kiss on the cheek, just beneath his eye.
You know he won't react badly to your words, but you still can't look into his eyes for a second. So you decide for another kiss.
You feel how a grin spreads on his lips. Not able to control them, you feel how yours turn upwards, too.
Your hands are almost shaking because of all the tingling, but you feel how some of the tension you didn't know you were holding leaves your body.
You feel good.
"Hey, Cyare," he whispers, as soon as you separate and are able to look into his eyes again. His arms tighten around your body, and you're pressed closer to him once more. Not that you're complaining.
"What?" you ask back, paralleling his words from just a few seconds ago.
"I love you," he now fully grins, repeating your words, and presses his rough but gentle lips against your temple.
He pulls you close on top of his chest and turns onto his back at the same time, so you're laying on top of him now, able to see his face.
Grinning, he comes closer and repeats his kisses again and again, spreading them all over your face.
Giggling, you gently lay your hand on his jaw, feeling the light stubble beneath your fingertips and moving your thumb over it in a rhythmic movement.
You feel light, happy. Your smile is almost as big as your face.
"I love you," you whisper again, barely able to hear it yourself.
"I love you," Wrecker mimics.
Your lips touch.
You feel warm and comfortable. Loved.

Hiya! Could you possibly write headcanons with Crosshair,Hunter,Echo,Wrecker and Tech with a GN!S/O that suddenly faints one day out of nowhere? The reason for their collapse can be up to you. 💖
Tumblr media
Author's note: Hello there! I decided to keep the reasoning relatively vague just for ease of reading, so I hope you still enjoy :3
Relationships: Crosshair/Gn!Reader, Hunter/Gn!Reader, Tech/Gn!Reader, Wrecker/Gn!Reader, Echo/Gn!Reader
Warnings: None really
Tumblr media
✦ Tech ✦
Tumblr media
Tech has noticed over the time that you've known him that you have a tendency to get lightheaded- be it from missing a meal or from any other reason he doesn't know.
It still catches him off guard however when one day while working on the ship you suddenly faint right over, Tech sending his tools clattering to the ground as he quickly moves to catch you.
Thankfully his strength helps him as he snatches you by the waist.
He sits you down on the ground and while he's worried, of course, Tech is able to compartmentalize and make sure to actually help you instead of just worrying.
When you soon after get up and ask him what happened and why he looks like he saw a ghost, he tells you that you fell right over, but thankfully he caught you before you ended up hitting your head.
'Do you feel disoriented still at all? Please don't lie, I'm rather worried.'
Tech keeps a close eye on you but is also soothing his mind by doing some research, as to make sure he'll be much more prepared that he was now in the future. Just in case.
✦ Hunter ✦
Tumblr media
Hunter is a giant armored mass of stress.
He wasn't actually in your presence when you'd fainted, but he did end up getting a comm saying you had fallen, and he swears there hasn't been a time he raced back to the Marauder so fast.
By the time he got there you were already awake, sitting in the co-pilot's seat and shaking your head as you try to get your bearings.
You have a drink in your hand and you smile up at him, but he can hear your breathing and heart rate still sound a little bit off for his liking. He insists that you lay down and at least take it easy, at minimum.
When you do, as if isn't really an option judging by his very stern 'superiority' voice, he hovers around constantly making sure you're still ok.
His ears keep on pricking to your heartbeat, and if he hears it even slightly off, he makes sure to take a glance in your direction.
When you try and get him to bugger off, Hunter refuses.
'You scared the hell outta me; I'm not gonna just quit it.'
He inquires to Tech about it but doesn't really end up with anything conclusive, so he very hesitantly decides it was just a fluke.
Needless to say he continues to hover and fuss over you the rest of the day, even going so far as to break his own rule of sleeping in separate bunks in order to keep close. He tries to keep a bit of decorum even though the Batch all obviously know the two of you are close, but he'll let it slide this time.
✦ Wrecker ✦
Tumblr media
You often times joke around with Wrecker, so when you'd fainted for a split second he'd thought you were pulling a joke; And he easily caught you as you fell into him.
Very quickly however he realized you passed right out and quickly picks you up and takes you to the first person he had in mind; Which of course was Tech.
You're beginning to wake up just as Tech begins to look you over much to Wrecker's relief, and he doesn't have to fill you in on much.
'Phew, I'm just glad you're ok. You really scared me for a second there.'
He does however instantly begin bugging Tech about it much to his dismay, even if you try and insist Wrecker he quit it.
You know what caused it and make sure to fill him in, even if just so to save Tech from being lambasted.
He's just as fussy as Hunter would be, so you have trouble getting a worried Wrecker off of your back for the rest of the day, despite reassuring him many, many times that you're fine.
In the future Wrecker always keeps a keen eye on you if you ever look a little more sluggish than usual, cautious to never have a repeat of that again.
He'd first and foremost never want you to faint like that again, but if you do, he wants to be there to catch you.
✦ Crosshair ✦
Tumblr media
You actually end up fainting onto Crosshair, during a post mission sit down.
He was cleaning his rifle and you were munching on some spare rations as a snack, when you'd suddenly flopped right onto his shoulder. He gently tried to push you off, joking in his usual snarky way that you were suffocating him, until he noticed you were out cold.
Making sure you don't fall over he quickly tries to wake you up, even going so far as to asking one of his brothers for help.
But when you wake up you're now laying on his bunk, rubbing your forehead and moving to get up. Crosshair quickly pounces, watching you and making sure you don't pull a 'dumb move' and try to get up right away.
'What the kriff was that? You freaked us all out.'
You explain that it isn't the first time you've fainted like that, and probably won't be the last; As you were honestly surprised it had taken this long to happen.
Crosshair's nose wrinkles as he snips at you for not warning them sooner, though it's obvious it was because he was worried, than any of his brothers.
✦ Echo ✦
Tumblr media
Echo remembers vaguely of a time when one of his 501st brothers had passed out before, but anything learned from that instance is almost instantly out the window when you end up fainting.
When you wake up, he gets up from where he was sitting on a supply crate right beside you, he must've moved it closer to have a place to sit and wait, and begins asking questions.
'Hey, hey? You good? You weren't lookin' too good then you fell over... You sure you're alright?'
Echo doesn't worry too much, as he tries to remain level headed while you get your bearings back. Not much good happens where you're panicking, he thinks.
He is the first one to suggest that maybe you go see the medic, just to make sure there isn't anything going on.
No matter if you do or not Echo is right there, keeping a careful eye on you.
'Just don't go scaring me like that again. I've had enough heart racer moments like that for a few lifetimes.'

The Batch Batch: The Sith
Headcanons
The Bad batch comes across a unique individual, they find themselves strangely attracted to them and relationship's blossom, however there comes a point where their past is questioned...
A/N:Thank you to @ihatepeez I'm sorry it took so long to come out;( but really hope you enjoy it . I changed it a little, as I felt the batch with a sith that's in their prime..they would not go well with them XD
Hunter
Tumblr media
One of the more hesitant people to approach you
He must admit- he did suspect something about you,but it passed
But like also that were kinda attractive
he didnttell anyone..
but that didn't mean anyone could tell (Omega)
But as time passed, you…you stayed and center yourself apart of the group.
With that being said. From the start hunter would have sensed something was off,
Upon being revealed you were a sith…
He felt…conflicted for a bit.
Scratch that, very conflicted.
First where you being followed?
What kind of dangers did sith bring?
What if…those dangers hurt omega
But you reassured him that it was your past. You trying to change now.
Though a bit weary, he believes in you.
As time passes hunter finds that…you have changed. For the better.
And the feelings he had holding back finally came back Into play.
Although he's a bit confused on what he should do in general
In general, hunters very hard on himself in terms on letting himself feel,
But…he learns that it's alright. You two can have a new life together…
Echo
Tumblr media
Honestly this man doesn't like you on sight for some reason
Idk but I think…that since echo worked so closely to the jedi, he would naturally dislike the Sith.
But he does wonder to himself why he doesn't like you sometimes…
As time passes he realizes you are a force user, since you saved omega once from falling with the force. But…he didn't see a lightsaber.
Still even as time passes he isn't as hostile, you two can sit together in the same room, but not talk.
It isn't until, one day omega found your lightsaber hidden and she turned it off
Igniting the bright red color…
The innocent girl only gazed at the thing with wonder and echo…felt his heart drop.
This event lead to you being interrogated by the guys
To which you admitted to being sith, however. It was who you were before.
But now, you didn't know what you wanted.
After this, echo full on ignores you
He felt so...
So…
He didn't know how to explain it…but the other part that knew you wanted to change…it made him…happy..?
After a while, you notice he's around you more often, and when you offer to drive the ship he's the only one who stays with you.
Was it because he was still weary of you..?
Tech
Tumblr media
I think.. That tech out of everyone would know the quickest.
He would be intrigued.
He knows immediately that you are force user,
How? Even he doesn't know himself.
I imagine he has many questions for you, like a interviewer asking a celebrity
Whether you were a sith , it never crossed his mind.
However the questions stay in head,
And he spends the days in the marauder glancing at you
You can feel it.
there glaces of curiosity,you think
Though you wield a lightsaber(albeit hidden)
You've never used it.
Overall, I think tech would use his curiosity as an excuse to learn more about you, a sith.
Something even his brothers realize XD
"I see it y’know" You say once when everyone is sleeping and tech remained in the pilot seat as you sat behind him.
"Pardon?" He replied looking up from his data pad,
"I feel it too, the staring." He only remains quiet,"You…have questions?" You ask closing your eyes and leaning back on the chair
"Your…a jedi?" Tech questions and he hears you chuckle under your breath"Not really,"
"Then..?"  He trails off he only looks back once again and his heart stops for a moment as he met your piercing gaze, within your locked eyes there's a…silent understanding.
"I see" he only says and looks back at his data.
You only looked at him for a brief moment, and examined his figure were his ears red…?
Wrecker
Tumblr media
I'm excited for this man onfggsysgs
Okay so, although at first he has a rough exterior, with time he sees you're just someone who's confused on where to go,who to rely on. He doesn't realize it but unknowingly he drops that persona early on.
He approaches you slowly, closer and closer each day.
Until when you've integrated yourself into the group,
That's when he's comfortable with being more…cuddly.
He knows that at night you stay awake, sitting on one of the pilot chairs looking at the stars outside
He wants to ask why
But he never does.
Wrecker eventually gathers up the courage to one day sit down next to you and ask why your always awake.
He's usually not one to do so
And honestly
On the spot you reveal your past, why? You didn't even know why. But he was comforting.
He's shocked, yea, but to Wreckers credit..he knows you're not your past.
And then on Wrecker sticks closely to you as if he's a small puppy,
It's because your close friends right?
…right?
Crosshair
Tumblr media
Man's hated you from the get-go,
And you returned that energy
He does notice that your force sensitive but is the least to actually do anything
He pretty much ignores it lmao
He still hates you either way💀💀
Enemies to lovers fr
Like his brothers he's under the assumption your a jedi on the run.
That's until…
You two were separated on a mission and you pulled out your lightsaber
Which…was red.
After that crosshair pretended he didn't really see anything, treating you normally.
But he did piece together you were trying to live a new life, like them.
He eases off after that, and he finds you trying a put a blaster one day when you guys were fueling up.
Chuckling he grabs the blaster from you and just says
"Watch."
Slowly but surely...with every lesson, everytime he seems to be getting closer and closer...
And his always seem to wander
Not that you noticed...👀👀

Note
Hey there, I've been really enjoying your writing. I saw your "Sleeping with Hunter HC's", and I was wondering if I may request HCs involving sleeping with Wrecker. It's my hottake that he'd be S tier at cuddles. Anyway, take care
apologies for taking so long with this, I couldn't catch a break with college lol😅
550 words, SFW
Tumblr media
First things first, sleeping next to Wrecker is like sleeping next to a hot water bottle. This man radiates heat yet will complain he’s cold just so you’ll cuddle him.
If there’s one thing Wrecker adores, it’s cuddles. He needs them to sleep. If you’re not around then he’ll revert back to cuddling Lula, holding the tooka doll snug in his arms.
But if you’re there too then he’ll use one arm to keep you close and hold Lula in the other.
When Wrecker’s asleep, he’s dead to the world, staying in whatever position he fell asleep in and only making small movements throughout the night. You could listen to something on your holopad at full volume and Wrecker will stay in a deep sleep, completely unaware of what’s going on around him.
... but if you accidentally roll out of his grasp during the night? Oh yeah, that’ll make him stir in his sleep, incoherently mumbling as his arm searches for you. The second he finds you and pulls you back towards him, Wrecker settles back into his deep sleep again.
While Wrecker is easy to deal with when he’s asleep, getting him to sleep is a whole other story.
Thankfully, after a long mission or rotation spent fixing up the ship, Wrecker is usually exhausted and is asleep within minutes. But if he still has a little bit of adrenaline left or if he has something playing on his mind, Wrecker is like a ball of energy, finding it utterly impossible to get to sleep.
He doesn’t stop tossing and turning, unable to get comfortable no matter what position he’s in.
Some nights as he tosses and turns, Wrecker will snake his arm around your waist and move you around with him as he tries to find a comfortable position. Sometimes that’s simply picking you up and placing you on his chest or other nights, he’ll do a full 180 as he rolls to face the other way, you locked securely in his arms as he does.
He talks a lot too when he’s trying to get to sleep, though his ramblings often have the opposite effect, keeping him wide awake as he tells you all about growing up on Kamino or the time he accidentally sat on Crosshair’s sniper and snapped it in half.
When Wrecker gets like this, he needs you there to steady his mind and help him drift off to sleep, either by rhythmically running your hand along his back or telling him a story of your own.
If the roles are reversed and you’re the one finding it hard to sleep, the last thing Wrecker does is actually help you sleep. If there’s something on your mind, worrying you so much that you can’t relax, the last thing Wrecker wants is for you to be laying in darkness and dwelling on it.
Instead he’ll get up with you and find a quiet part of the ship where you can vent about your worries or simply sit with him as he fills the silence with a mixture of jokes and sincere compliments.
In conclusion, Wrecker is a warm teddy bear who absolutely adores sleeping beside you. Seriously, he would lay in bed all day if it meant having you next to him.

Strength and Softness
Tumblr media
(BAD BATCH S2 FINALE SPOILERS!!)
AN:  my poor baby needs love and I think we all need love QQ pls enjoy ♥
Relationships: Wrecker x Fem!Reader
Summary: You and the others have reached your lowest low. The weight of all that has developed bears heavily on all of you, but on Wrecker, even more. You hope to reassure him with all the love you can give.
Warnings: none
Word Count: 1.1k
Tumblr media
It all happened so fast.
Just hours ago, you had been on Pabu. Just hours ago, you had been basking in the setting sun, feeling content in a way you hadn’t in months. You’d had your family—even Echo had returned. You’d had the promise of a future far from war.
Just hours ago, you’d had everything you’d ever wanted. And in an instant, it disappeared.
Though the Marauder’s engines struggled loudly against the vacuum of space, its hold had never fallen so quiet. Four of you remained now, and plenty waited to be said. But none of you could say a word—too mournful of the voices that could no longer respond.
Eventually, Hunter and Echo managed to speak to one another, distracting themselves with plans for what to do next. What little you could bring yourself to pay attention to sounded half-hearted at best. And while you wished you could help, something else nagged at your mind… that ‘something’ being the big, lovable clone whose typical exuberance was nowhere to be found.
Glancing toward the gunner’s chair, you saw the shadow of his hulking frame against the blue glow of hyperspace. He hadn’t budged from that spot since a short while after leaving Ord Mantell. In his hands, he clutched his Lula doll, his weary eyes glued to her. Every now and then, he’d raise the back of his hand to wipe his eyes.
Your chest ached. Though you all had much to grieve for, Wrecker’s big heart seemed to weigh heavier than all of yours combined. The poor thing felt so deeply, and while you loved that about him, you knew it had to make moments like this hurt even more than their already excruciating pain.
But while what you had all endured left you broken and bruised, you thanked the stars that you still had each other—and you would make sure he knew he still had you.
Quietly, you rose from your seat on the floor of the Marauder’s cockpit, walking to the back of the ship and ascending the small ladder into the gunner’s mount. With a gentle hand on Wrecker’s shoulder, you took a seat on his lap. He didn’t hesitate for a moment, his big arms draping around you like a protective blanket as they pulled you against his chest. Pained though he was, you could feel his heartbeat steady with you so close. He drew a long sigh; when you glanced up at him, you could see his eyes had pinched shut, brows furrowed as his trembling fingers raked through your hair.
With a sad smile, you whispered, “Hey, you.”
Despite his pain, he still managed to find a little smile to match yours, warming your heart.
“Hey, you…” he answered. His smile fell soon after, and his lips grazed the top of your head in a chaste kiss. “I’m… I’m sorry.”
“Oh, Wrecker…” you cooed, nuzzling your head as gently into your neck as you could without disturbing the brace he wore. You rested your hand on his cheek, heart aching when he leaned into your touch. “What are you sorry for, sweetheart?”
Wrecker thought for a moment, his sweet eyes looking out the Marauder’s rear window. Eventually, he sighed, shrugging a shoulder.
“I… I don’t know,” he murmured. “I guess ‘cause… I should be helping you three come up with a plan. I’m not doing anyone any good by just moping around.”
The way he stared at nothing, reluctant to meet your gaze, told you without words that he felt the need to apologize for more than just that. In his eyes, the loss of his siblings was his failure alone. He hadn’t been strong enough to save Tech aboard the railcar, and he hadn’t been strong enough to face the commandos who barged into Cid’s looking for Omega. Every step he took from then on would carry that weight on his shoulders. But you were not about to let him carry it alone.
“Wrecker, sweetheart,” you whispered. “Look at me… okay?”
Gently, your hand directed him to face you, and the sorriest eyes you’ve ever seen looked into yours. As soon as he met your gaze, more tears dampened his cheeks. You could hardly bear the sight, cooing his name again as you kissed away his tears.
“It wasn’t your fault,” you promised. “None of us could have done anything different. It’s not your fault, sweetheart…”
Wrecker’s frame trembled beneath you. His face burned red, and he pinched his nose with a frustrated pout.
“I… I could’ve done more,” he grumbled. Stray tears turned to crying once again, and he shook his head. “I could’ve held onto the railcar… I-I could’ve knocked out every one of those regs at Cid’s! I could’ve…”
You placed both hands on the sides of Wrecker’s face now, leaning your forehead against him and shushing him in a soothing tone. With a gentle kiss on Wrecker’s lips, his frustration with himself faded away. Shakily, he sat Lula in your lap, before clutching you soundly against him and weeping into your hair. You held him just as close, fingers trailing along his scalp as your stray tears spilled onto his plastoid armor.
“Wrecker… it’s okay, love,” you reassured him, dotting kiss after kiss along his jaw. “It wasn’t your fault. None of it was.”
He pulled away from you just slightly, if only to look at you again. As his glassy eyes looked you over, he drew a shaky breath. One of his hands sat on your cheek, before he met you in a deep, loving kiss. His lips quivered on yours, still weak from crying, but he had never been so intent to express his love for you. You, of course, were happy to show him your love right back.
When your lips broke from his, he sighed, his forehead coming to rest on yours again. Excepting the occasional hiccup brought on by his tears, his breathing had steadied considerably, and the tension he’d held in his shoulders had dissipated.
“I love you,” he breathed, closing his eyes softly. “I love you so much. I…” he swallowed hard, before whispering, “I’m glad you’re still here.”
Smiling softly, you bumped your nose against Wrecker’s affectionately.
“I love you more, handsome,” you hummed.
You lifted Lula off your lap, placing her into one of Wrecker’s hands. When he met you with upturned brows, you smiled sadly.
“We’ll get her back. I promise.”
Wrecker’s eyes softened on you. Though a few more stray tears escaped him, he nodded, filled with renewed confidence. Still, he didn’t let you go—not that you wanted him to. For now, he could hold you as long as he liked. If being in his arms was enough to shed the weight of his doubts, then in his arms you would remain.
“Yeah… we’ll get her back.”
You were glad he was still here, too. More than you could ever say.

Prompt - Forehead kiss whilst cuddling
Tumblr media
You’d known the Bad Batch long before Order 66 was executed, they joined you so much on missions that at some point they just never left and came apart of your battalion. The only time they left your side was when they were called back to Kamino or another battalion needed help with the impossible.
Over the years you had grown close with all of them, Hunter stood by your side and helped you command the 429th, the two of you had spent many sleepless nights together pouring over new intel and strategies. You and Crosshair were close though people looking in at your friendship would doubt that, even though your friendship mostly consisted of the two of you poking at each other’s buttons you were also the first to stand up for the other, always willing to take a blaster shot or punches thrown by the enemy. It had taken Tech the longest to warm up to you and you him, he hadn’t been purposefully hostile but he had never been all too good with new people or breaks to his routine and suddenly he was on a ship surrounded by regs who he had never had the best experience with anyway and you, a complete stranger. Overtime though the two of you did bond and whenever Tech wanted somebody to talk to he usually sought you out first.
As much as you loved them all it was Wrecker who had taken the place as your favourite, not that you’d ever admit it out loud. You didn’t need to honestly, it seemed everybody knew.
Wrecker was something else, at first you had been weary of him. There was no time for introductions when the batch first showed up, the battle already well underway and you and your men losing spectacularly.
One minute you had been surrounded by droids, the Force and your lightsaber both desperately trying to fight them off and the next there was a loud boom as an explosion went off and then Wrecker had easily dealt with the remaining droids on you with nothing but a loud laugh, giving you a grin before moving onto more droids.
Turns out after getting to know him that the giant of a man was really a gentle, caring one, always aware of his strength and never using it against anybody but the enemy, not even when you had heard some of the regular clones under your command giving the batch a hard time.
Once they started joining you frequently you let yourself get closer and closer to Wrecker, finding out you had more in common with him than just about anyone on the ship. You found yourself gravitating to him all the time, whether it be seeking him out before a mission when you were worried and felt the weight of the whole battalion on your shoulders or after a mission were you let him pull your aching body into a crushing hug in which you both assured yourself the other had made it through another mission safe and alive.
At some point Wrecker had managed to pull you into training with him somehow. You had finally given into his insistence that you needed to learn how to fight without your lightsaber. He wasn’t wrong, you were highly skilled with your lightsaber, easily a worthy opponent but there were times it got lost in battle and you had only yourself to rely on. So you let him teach you how to throw punches and to deflect attacks until you were an aching puddle on the floor. The only thing that made the whole thing worth it was seeing Wrecker break a sweat as he grinned at you.
You had never thought that his training would come in as helpful as it had, a year or so later you found yourself on a rare campaign without the batch’s assistance, they had been needed elsewhere to aid Master Billaba.
You had had a bad feeling about this mission since they had left but you knew the war was coming to an end, Master Kenobi was on his way to defeat Grievous as you headed to your own mission. There was nothing to be done for your nerves though and you desperately tried to push them aside without Wrecker’s steady presence assuring you everything would be just fine.
It turned out your bad feeling had been right.
You found yourself staring down the barrel of a blaster held by the Captain, the rest of your battalion following his lead and aiming their own at you. It was after a long battle, one in which you had lost your lightsaber again and you had nothing but the Force to help you.
You weren’t entirely sure how you had managed to get on a ship, the past hour nothing but a blur but what you did know was that it was Wrecker’s training that had saved you. All that time spent working together until he was satisfied you could hold your own had finally paid off and it was the only reason you were alive.
It sent an ache through you thinking about Wrecker. You wanted to comm him but you weren’t sure how widespread this thing with the Clones was, what if the batch wanted to kill you? You weren’t sure you could deal with the heartbreak of losing them.
You had decided on heading back to Coruscant when Obi-Wan’s message came through, warning you away from the Temple and Coruscant, your heart breaking as the message played on a loop until you forced yourself to turn it off with shaky hands, turning your comm off with it.
You didn’t know where to go, the war had been lost, nowhere was safe. As you sat in your ship you wracked your brain for safe places only the Jedi knew about and then remembered a place you’d heard some of the Master’s speak about.
It was sketchy but you figured if the Sith had truly taken over then they wouldn’t start with planets like this, it should have left you with plenty of time to come up with another plan before they arrived.
Finding Cid had been an unpleasant enough experience, you couldn’t figure what the Jedi were doing working with somebody like her but there wasn’t anyone left to question. When she tried to drag you into her sketchy dealings you had walked right back out of her office, you were alone in the galaxy but you weren’t that desperate for help that would probably come back to bite you one day.
You left with her threats of calling the Empire following you out the door and then paused once you were out, wondering what in the stars your plan was. Staying in Ord Mantell was probably your best option provided Cid didn’t make good on her promises. You could stay in your ship and work odd jobs to build enough credits for something more secure but until then it looked like you were stuck.
Many days passed until you stopped bothering to keep track of how long it had been since the war was lost, since you were left alone with no home to go back to and no friends, no Wrecker. You hadn’t turned your comm on since that day, there was no point, everyone you knew was either dead or wanted you dead.
“Hey you!” Cid called as they turned to leave her office with a mission, not sure how willing they were to trust her but needing the credits. “You mentioned the Jedi.”
“Um yes I did, what of it?” Echo asked as they turned back around to face her.
“There was a girl poking round here not too long ago, said she was a Jedi but she didn’t stay long, not willing to make a friend outta me. You reckon you know her?” The batch all turned to each other, Hunter hated the hopeful look that spread across Wrecker’s face.
It had been a while since that day and when you hadn’t answered any of their comm calls Hunter knew what had happened to you. Wrecker had been devastated, not only did they have the guilt of leaving Crosshair behind but Wrecker was heartbroken over your loss, not that Wrecker ever accepted what had happened, he still sat at the comm every day and called you, refusing to give up hope that you were alive. Hunter heard him crying softly into Lula most days, Omega having pressed the doll into the giant’s chest when Tech brought your name up and he got teary eyes.
He still wasn’t dealing with it well, Hunter heard him crying more nights than not, dark circles under his eyes showing that he hadn’t been sleeping well without you. Hunter didn’t know what to do, he hated seeing Wrecker so distraught, if he could have taken his pain on he’d have done it in a heartbeat.
Omega had been an angel, Wrecker loved the kid straight away and she might have been the only thing keeping him together. Wrecker had told her so many stories about you, Omega always content in his lap, eager to hear of your grand adventures together and nobody said anything about the tears that slid down Wrecker’s cheeks.
Seeing him now made Hunter’s fist clench, Cid hadn’t known what she was doing brining the Jedi up but seeing the bright hopeful look on his brother’s face made him want to punch something knowing full well it was going to hurt just as badly as it had the first time when it turned out it wasn’t you.
Wrecker let himself get his hopes up though, he’d always known you couldn't be dead. Even if something had happened and you’d been without your lightsaber he knew he had taught you enough to survive without it. He tried to justify the unanswered comm calls by telling himself your comm had probably just gotten broken during the battle and you hadn’t been able to get to a new one yet.
He didn’t miss the sympathetic looks he got from his brothers and Omega but he ignored them, unwilling and unable to give up one you. You would find your way back to each other, you always did.
“What’d she say her name was?” Wrecker asked eagerly, stepping towards Cid with a growing smile.
“She didn’t say her name, refused to say much of anything once I asked her to go on a run for me.” Cid said and they watched Wrecker’s shoulder slump down. “But I do know she never left the planet, matter of fact as a show of my goodwill I’ll tell you where she’s staying.”
“Yeah, tell us!” Wrecker pleaded, perking right back up.
“Alright, alright! She’s staying in her ship, down in hangar bay 18.” Cid told them and Wrecker was already out the door as Cid called after him. “Don’t say I don’t do nothing for you boys!”
Hunter and Echo shot each other sad smiles, knowing full well how this was going to end. They stood still for a moment, Tech sighing softly as the three of them watched Wrecker practically run out of Cid’s with Omega following closely behind.
“It could be her right?” Echo asked though the tone of his voice didn’t have much belief in his words.
“Unfortunately, the chances of this so-called Jedi being Y/N are highly improbable to impossible.”  Tech told them, his voice quiet as he adjusted his goggles.
“Come on, let’s check it out anyway.” Hunter said and gestured for them to follow the other two, already dreading the heartbreak Wrecker would experience all over again.
Wrecker arrived at the hangar bay moments before the rest of the batch caught up to him, pausing outside of bay 18 as he took a deep breath.
“Wrecker, I know you want it to be her, we all do but you have to prepare yourself for it being somebody else.” Echo told him gently, placing a hand on Wrecker’s bicep.
Wrecker turned to him with a shaky smile and nodded but he refused to let himself think it could be anyone else. It was going to be you, it had to be you.
“You ready Wrecker?” Omega asked with a smile, looking up at him.
Wrecker took one more deep breath and nodded again, smiling as Omega slipped her small hand into his and gave it a squeeze.
He led the way into the hangar bay and his breath caught in his throat as he recognised the ship the Republic had used. Everyone else took note too and felt their heart break a little more knowing it was only getting Wrecker’s hopes up.
Wrecker was the one to knock on the ship’s door and everybody waited anxiously for the door to open.
You had been on Ord Mantell for far too long, this place was everything you hated but you had no choice but to stay. It wasn’t swarming with troopers and that was the best you could do right now. You worked odd jobs and built up some credits, saving them for when it was time to flee, needing to be ready to do so at a moment's notice.
You had finally gotten back to your ship after a long day of manual labour but it was worth it for the credits that had been handed over to you at the end of it. You took a small ration bar out of the storage box and sat down heavily in your seat.
As you ate the small bar you couldn’t stop your thoughts wandering back to the same place they always did…Wrecker. Stars you missed him. Every day your heart ached at being away from him, at how you would never see him again, at how he was now nothing but a mindless droid following orders, it ached at knowing that you would never get the chance to tell him that he had been the one to save you, that you would never get to tell him you loved him.
You had known for a long time that you loved Wrecker but your loyalty to the Jedi Code had stopped you from ever telling him. That and the fact you were scared, you’d never been in love before and you weren’t certain that Wrecker would feel the same about you so it was easier to hide behind the Code and keep your feelings to yourself.
You regretted that now, hated the fact that you hadn’t been brave enough to tell him. You knew the chance to do so would never come around, not now that he was the Empire’s good soldier.
You’d have left the Order if Wrecker had asked you too, joined him and his brothers in the Marauder and fought alongside them. He had never asked though and you had had to be content with them joining you on your cruiser and staying for as long as they could.
Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a banging on the ship’s door and you startled in your seat, reaching over to grab a blaster in place of the lightsaber you had never managed to recover.
You stood up and headed over to the door, finger hovering over the button to open it. If it was the Empire they surely wouldn’t bother with niceties, preferring to force their way onto your ship instead. There was nobody else it could be though, the only person who knew you were staying on your ship was Cid and you weren’t exactly expecting her to stop by for a cup of caf any time soon.
You hesitated for another moment before raising your blaster and pressing the button.
There were several gasps as the door finally opened and you didn’t have a chance to take in your guests because suddenly you were being dragged into a bone crushing hug, one that had you tensing before your mind caught up and you recognised the arms holding you close.
“Wrecker?” You choked out, tears springing to your eyes as you pushed him away to make sure it was really him, blaster falling to the ground. “Stars, it’s really you.”
Wrecker was a mess, tears fell rapidly down his face as he pulled you back into his arms, feeling your fingers clawing into him as you gripped him tight. He had to watch himself, knowing he could crush you but he couldn’t loosen his grip if he tried, not when it felt like if he did you would disappear before him.
“I knew you were alive.” Wrecker mumbled into your hair, leaning down to rest his head against you as you sobbed into him. “Knew you’d be alright.”
“I thought you were gone!” You cried, pulling back only far enough to look up at him, shaky hands cupping his cheeks as you took him in.
“M’alright, ya don’t have to worry ‘bout me, I’m right here. Just glad I found you.” Wrecker told you, his voice softer than you had ever heard as he leaned down and pressed his forehead to yours.
The two of you stayed like that for a while longer before you both managed to pry yourselves away, though you didn’t go too far from each other. It was then you saw the others standing behind them, their own eyes shiny and cheeks stained with tear marks.
“Echo, Tech, Hunter! It’s so good to see you!” You exclaimed, meeting them halfway and letting Echo pull you into his own hug, him holding you close for a few moments before letting you go, squeezing your arm as he did.
“Good to have you back, Y/N/N.” Echo smiled, his voice shaky and you couldn’t help but laugh softly, the sound more like a sob as you nodded.
Tech was next, he wasn’t the greatest with physical affection but he still let you pull him into a soft hug and let himself rest his head against yours and he took a shaky breath, hardly able to believe you were alive and well.
Hunter was waiting for you with open arms and you practically fell into them, letting him wrap you up, tucking your head into his chest as a few more tears escaped you.
“I’m sorry we didn’t find you earlier.” Hunter apologised into your hair and you shook your head, brushing the apology off easily, you couldn’t blame them, you would never think to blame them. Considering the circumstances it was a safe assumption for them to believe you had died at the hands of your battalion, just as it was a safe bet for you to think they had become the Empire’s new soldiers.
You could help but notice that Crosshair was missing from the group, blood going cold when you realised they would never willingly leave one of their own behind, not unless they had no choice in the matter and you guessed that whatever had happened to your battalion had happened to at least one of the batch.
You didn't mention the loss of the sniper, instead when you pulled away from Hunter you gravitated back to Wrecker who was waiting just a step or two behind you, his arm winding around your waist and pulling you even closer.
“What happened to you?” Echo asked and you took a shaky breath, feeling Wrecker’s thumb softly brushing against your hip and you let yourself relax into the touch, a touch you never thought you’d get to feel again.
“How about we go to the Marauder?” You suggested, glancing towards your ship and back to the group. “I don’t think there’s enough space on there for all of us.”
The walk back to the Marauder was silent, the young girl you had noticed but had not been introduced to made her way over to Hunter and took his hand in hers, Hunter smiling down at her before continuing on. You couldn’t help but smile at them as you walked alongside Wrecker, his arm still around you as he kept you close.
Once you were all in the Marauder, everyone in their usual seats with Wrecker pulling you onto his lap, his head on your shoulder and arms still wrapped around your waist, everybody turned to you.
“After the battle on Zaphus the clones turned on me, I didn’t have my lightsaber but,” you paused, hands resting on Wrecker’s forearms as you turned to look at him thankfully, “I managed to escape with your training, guess you were right it did come in handy.”
“Told you it would.” Wrecker said but there was no teasing tone to his voice, no smug I told you so grin on his face, the words were soft and sad in a way you hated hearing from Wrecker.
“I got to the ship and after I heard Obi-Wan’s message to all remaining Jedi I shut my comm off.” Before you could continue Tech cut you off.
“Why would you turn your comm off? We have tried to get in contact with you every day since the end of the Republic.” Tech told you and you felt your heart ache and swell at the same time, all this time you had thought they had wanted you dead when really they had spent every day trying to find you.
“I thought whatever happened to my battalion had happened to you, once I got to Ord Mantell I realised that all the clones had turned, I figured that meant you too.” You told them, feeling your eyes well up but refused to let the tears fall as you leaned further into Wrecker’s chest.
“Y/N, we thought you were dead, stars if we’d known we’d have done everything to find you.” Echo said and you smiled over at him.
Out of all the batch you had known Echo longest. You and General Skywalker had always gotten along well and had aided each other plenty of times throughout the Clone Wars. Echo and Fives had made quick work befriending you and you had become closer with each mission you worked together.
Echo had always been kind to you, always ready to help in any way he could whether it be through bringing you a hot mug of caf when the sleepless nights piled on top of each other or shooting down clankers before they could get a hit on you.
When the batch had come to assist you and had brought Echo along with them you couldn’t stop the tears that filled your eyes as you took in the pale skin and robotics attached to him but ultimately none of that mattered compared to the fact that Echo was alive and safe with your batch and you hadn’t been able to resist pulling his skinny frame into a tight hug.
“I know, me too.” You murmured, feeling Wrecker’s arms tighten around you before he relaxed again, assuring himself you were here and with him.
That night, long after more talking and a few shared tears, you headed down to the bunk rooms. Climbing into bed with Wrecker again after so long apart made your eyes sting but you refused to cry again tonight.
Wrecker’s arms wrapped around you, encompassing your frame as he dragged you as close to him as you could get, not a single inch of space between you, not that you were complaining, if anything your tried to burrow yourself deeper into his chest, fingers clinging to his blacks as you let yourself relax for the first time in a long time.
After everything that had happened you had truly thought you were alone in the galaxy but having Wrecker here, his body comforting and steady as his fingers traced random shapes on your back, you knew you still had a home.
“Missed you every day, mesh’la.” Wrecker murmured, his lips moving against your hair. “Knew you couldn’t be dead, never gave up on ya, baby.”
“I’m sorry for turning my comm off, I wish I-”
“No,” Wrecker cut you off, pressing a kiss to your head. “S’like Tech said it was smart, we could’a tried to trick ya. Doesn’t matter now anyway, we got you back, I got you back.”
You smiled shakily into Wrecker’s chest and nodded along with his words. He was right, nothing could be changed, no amount of pleading with the Force could undo time, all you had was now and you weren’t going to waste a single moment, not when you never thought you’d have this again.
“I love you Wrecker.” You whispered into his chest, glancing up to see him smiling widely down at you.
“I love ya too, baby.” He told you before placing a kiss to your forehead, pulling you into him.
You let your eyes fall closed as you took steady breaths, feeling like you could breathe properly again with Wrecker’s heartbeat against your ear.
It wasn’t long before you drifted off, Wrecker’s arms a heavy and grounding assurance that this was real, that not everything had been snatched from you in the blink of an eye, that the Force wasn’t cruel enough to leave you alone in the galaxy. Every night since that day you had yearned for Wrecker and now you got to fall asleep in his arms again, content and safe for the first time in what felt like forever.

"And there we have it."
You grunted, struggling to maintain your balance as your boss carelessly added another box to the towering stack you were already carrying. The load was now so immense that it obscured your entire head from view. Suppressing your frustration, you couldn't help but mutter under your breath, "Why couldn't someone else handle this?" Your bitter remark elicited a chuckle from your boss, who promptly sent you on your way.
Usually, you didn't mind taking on delivery jobs. They provided a welcome respite from the stifling atmosphere of the shop and allowed you to breathe in the fresh air. Moreover, you did enjoy taking a leisurely stroll through the bustling city stalls on your return.
However, today was an entirely different story. The towering boxes you were burdened with made it impossible to indulge in such pleasures. You could barely see where you were going, and with every accidental collision, you found yourself offering apologies to everyone.
If only you were a little taller, this wouldn't be such a challenge. Although your stature was far from commanding, what you lacked in height, you made up for with personality and heart.
Although you thought you knew the route like the back of your hand, the darkening streets, engulfed in the shadows of towering buildings, gave you an inkling that you might be heading in the wrong direction. Letting out a sigh of frustration, you dropped the boxes with an exasperated huff, cringing at the sound of something shattering inside. In that moment, your focus shifted entirely from the contents of the boxes to your surroundings, desperately trying to figure out where you had ended up.
As you glanced at your data pad, frustration evident on your face, you decided to take matters into your own hands. Setting a waypoint that would emit a reassuring ding each time you moved in the right direction, you turned to the scattered boxes on the ground, placing your hands on your hips and letting out another exasperated sigh. "How am I going to pick all of you up?"
Suddenly, a booming voice echoed from behind you, causing you to jump in surprise. “Need some help there, ma’am?”
You turned around to find a towering figure approaching. Clad in dark armor with a helmet adorned with a painted skull, he exuded an aura of intimidation. If it weren't for the desolate street and the absence of bystanders, you might have felt more at ease. However, as he halted in front of you, you couldn't help but gulp, craning your neck to meet his gaze.
He was far taller than you, doubling, no, tripling your height. But as he removed his helmet, revealing kind eyes, your apprehension began to fade.
"I said, do you need some help, ma'am?" he repeated, gesturing towards the scattered boxes. Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment as you realised you had been standing there, silently gazing up at him instead of responding. Pausing for a moment, you felt a hint of apprehension.
"That depends..." you replied slowly, glancing at him from the corner of your eye, noticing the prominent scar across his raised eyebrow. "Are you just going to pretend to help and then steal them? I'm a lot tougher than I look, I'll have you know."
He let out a warm and hearty chuckle that instantly brought a smile to your face. "I don't doubt tha’ for a second," he chuckled, raising an eyebrow before extending his hand down towards you. "Name's Wrecker."
You reciprocated with your name, shaking his hand firmly with your own, feeling the strength in his grip. "Nice to meet you, Wrecker. But yeah, I could definitely use some help. I took a wrong turn and now I can't pick them up."
"Not a problem for me!" he exclaimed with a grin. You watched, impressed, as he effortlessly lifted the boxes, balancing them atop one another with just one hand. "Where are we headed, lil’ lady?"
You rolled your eyes playfully at the nickname, a common one you often received, but somehow, the way he said it seemed endearing.
As you both set off in the correct direction, the weight of the conversation became as light and easy as the burden of the boxes had been lifted from your hands. Engaging in small talk, you discovered that Wrecker was not only talkative but also strong and incredibly likable.
"So, why didn't your boss assign someone, you know, bigger for this task?" Wrecker asked, his deep voice carrying a hint of amusement.
"Funny, I actually asked the same question," you replied with a sigh of relief, grateful that the boxes were now safely in the hands of this gentle giant. "I suppose they trust me enough."
He chuckled, his laughter resonating warmly. Then, he inquired about your line of work, and you learned that Wrecker was a soldier—a clone for the GAR. "You're much larger than the other clones, if you don't mind me saying," you remarked, genuinely curious.
"Not at all. It's only fair that ya talk about my height when I've mentioned yours multiple times," he replied sheepishly, puffing his chest out proudly as you continued walking together. "I actually serve in a different unit than the 'Regs'."
"But enough about me," he said, his gaze locked with yours as you approached the drop-off point. There was a twinkle in his eye that caught your attention. "Are you single?"
You took a sip of water from the canteen attached to your hip, nearly choking on it in surprise, which only elicited another hearty laugh from him. "Well, are you?" he pressed, his curiosity evident.
"Slow down, buddy," you giggled softly, feeling a warmth spreading through you at his question. It amazed you that he seemed genuinely interested in such a short span of time. "We've only just met."
"Just an innocent question. You don't need to answer," he replied softly, placing the boxes down as you reached your destination. He turned to face you, his expression open and attentive.
"If you must know," you began shyly, realising that there was no reason to shy away from the possibility of a friendship or even a romantic connection, "I am single."
A coy grin played on his lips, and he nodded appreciatively. "That's surprising."
"Oh, really?" you quipped, raising an eyebrow in playful curiosity.
"Yeah, you're cute," he said casually, though a touch of nervousness crept into his voice as he rubbed the back of his head.
You smirked, meeting his gaze directly. "Cute as in 'I could put you in my pocket because you're so small cute,' or...?" You raise your hands using air quotations.
He let out a soft chuckle, his eyes filled with sincerity. "As in, ‘I think you're a beautiful girl. And I'd like to take you out one evening’. If you're free." His words were gentle, his nerves palpable.
As you gazed up at him, a myriad of emotions swirling within you, you found yourself considering his proposition. The blush on your cheeks deepened as his smile widened, and your heart danced with excitement. Giving in to the temptation, you decided to take a leap of faith and accept his offer. You shared your contact details with him, your grin mirroring his own.
"I'd like that, sure," you say, your voice filled with genuine enthusiasm. His eyes sparkled with delight as he nodded, a happy expression adorning his handsome face.
"W-Well, that's great!" he exclaimed, his words accompanied by a slight stutter, clearly surprised that you had agreed. "But I'd also like to put you in my pocket sometime too," he added with a mischievous smirk, his playful remark drawing a giggle from you.
A gentle warmth spread through your heart as you returned his smile. It was as if Wrecker could read your thoughts, because you wanted to lean up and kiss his cheek for both a farewell and for helping you out. But seeing as there was a significant height difference, he takes the lead and takes your hand, leaning down and kissing it gently.
"I hope to see ya soon," he murmured softly. "Don't go asking other guys to help you with more boxes anytime soon, unless it's me." His words held a touch of fake possessiveness, his playful tone and genuine smile making your heart flutter even more.
You chuckled, feeling a newfound connection forming between you. "I promise, Wrecker. You'll be my go-to guy for any box-carrying needs.”
With a final exchange of smiles and a lingering sense of anticipation, you both parted ways, leaving you with a mind full of excitement for the future.

Hey there, may I request Wrecker x Reader with the fluff prompt "i can hear your heartbeat- why is it going so fast all of a sudden?" I really liked your last one as it was so cute.
Hi! Sorry for taking so long! This is such a cute prompt, but of course my brain said "add some angst" so I did. But like, there's still a lot of fluff. It's very hurt/comfort with emphasis on comfort. Hope you like!

Heartbeats
Tumblr media
Warnings: None, I think? Reader's feeling get hurt but Wrecker makes them all better.
--------------------------------------------------
Your ribs hurt. Every breath sent waves of agony screaming up your side, but what hurt worse was the fact that the entire team was almost killed.
Because of you.
One glance at Wrecker lobbing explosives on joyfully down the hall, and you were caught up in a daze. How someone could be so loud and joyful in a combat zone was beyond you, but he did it and he did it perfectly.
The whole thing was only a training mission, but it didn't matter. You got distracted. You couldn't blame it on Wrecker; it was your own fault for being such a kriffing lovesick idiot. You got distracted and missed an obvious hole in your defenses. A hole that allowed the enemy the flank you. It was a hole that left your team scrambling to cover you when one blast from a droid shot you down from your position, knocking the air from your lungs.
"Dead. We're all dead!" Hunter abruptly deactivated the training droids and turned towards you. Tech, Echo, and Wrecker clamored to their feet. "Y/n. Tell me what happened. Why are we all dead?"
Crosshair slid from the tower with a frown.
The others looked at you, waiting for you to answer him. Crosshair's frown deepened as he briefly met your eyes.
"I...I don't know." You said softly, looking at the ground. Please don't cry. Not here. Not in front of Wrecker.
Hunter nodded slowly. "You don't know?" His voice was dangerously low. "You are part of a team, y/n. A team! We watch each other's backs. You just let your entire team down because you weren't paying attention! You're damn lucky this was just a training simulation because you just got us all killed."
Wrecker scratched the back of his neck, "Hunter, I don't think it was all her fault..." He said sheepishly. "I mean, I coulda paid better attention to yer hand signals. I'm not sure what they mean most of the time. And besides, you forget she's not a soldier like us."
"Obviously." Crosshair rolled his eyes.
"Hey, don't be mean!" Wrecker scolded his brother, elbowing him in the ribs.
"Well it's true. She's no soldier and that makes her a liability."
Tears burned the back of your eyes, you blinked them back furiously. You would NOT cry in front of the boys. You would NOT let them see how much their words hurt. You already felt useless. This mistake only served to prove you correct.
Wrecker growled, stepping forward so that he was almost chest to chest with Crosshair. He looked down at the sniper, who twiddled his toothpick as though he couldn't care less. "You wanna say that again?"
Crosshair narrowed his eyes.
Hunter took a deep breath, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I think we all need a breather. Report back here at 1800 hours. I wanna run this through again." Hunter's gaze lingered on you for a moment. You knew he wanted some sort of an explanation but that was something you couldn't really provide him with. How could you explain that just being near Wrecker made your head spin. How could you explain that being around him sent shivers down your spine.
Hunter had known something was up for a while now. It was only a matter of time before he approached you and today's mishap just gave him another opportunity to corner you about it. Taking a shuddering breath, you whipped around before he could say anything, and headed out into the hall, no longer able to hold back the tears flooding your eyes.
***
Thunder rumbled through the damp air and you jumped. Even after being on Kamino for the past year, you still hadn't gotten used to all the storms and the constant rain.
"Hey y/n." You jumped violently. How had he found you so fast? Wrecker sat down beside you. "Sorry," he said softly. "Didn't mean to startle you."
You sniffed, hugging your knees to your chest.
"Don't be too upset, Mesh'la. Hunter's just been under a lotta pressure lately."
You shook your head. "No, he was right. I should've been paying more attention."
Wrecker shrugged. "It happens to all of us. That's why we practice."
"Yeah, but I..." your voice cracked, "I can't.... I don't..." You didn't even know what you were trying to say.
The tears start flowing heavily once again. Welp, I guess Wrecker knows how weak and useless I am now. The thought made you cry harder.
"Oh, cyar'ika..." Wrecker looked devastated as he watched your shoulders shake in silent sobs, not quite sure what to do. He scooted closer and wrapped his arms snugly around you, letting you bury your face into his chest as he held you. His expression melted as you curled into his embrace.
"There there, cyar'ika." He rubbed your back, "I've gotcha. It'll be ok."
Finding comfort in his voice, you let him hold you. He was so warm, so kind, and so - oh no - you froze, immediately realizing that in your upset, you'd crawled right into his lap and soaked his shirt with your tears. This was embarrassing to say the least. You were mortified.
What if he didn't like you? What if he thought this was awkward? Or worse, what if he was just pitying you because he felt bad? You hated to be a burden.
Wrecker didn't seem to mind though. You looked up, confused as he let out a chuckle.
"What's wrong, Mesh'la? I can hear your heartbeat. It got all fast all of a sudden."
You sat up quickly, hoping he didn't see the blush that was very quickly racing up your neck. Your cheeks felt hot.
"I... It's... I'm fine," you stammered out.
Tell him! A voice shouted from the back of your mind. Tell him! It's now or never.
Wrecker was watching you carefully, a worried look soon overtook the amusement in his eyes.
"What is it, Mesh'la? Are you sick!?" He looked stricken. "Oh, Maker. What do I do!?" He began to pace the room, hands anxiously rubbing his bald head. "I should get Tech! He'll know what to do! Hold on, Mesh'la, I'm coming!"
Wrecker bent down, lifting you up into his arms, nearly crying himself.
"Wait!" You cried, alarmed at his reaction. "Wrecker wait. I'm... I'm not sick."
He stopped and looked down at you, confused. He set you back down slowly. "So...what is it? Cuz you look like you wanna throw up."
A ghost of a smile flitted across your face as you let out a small breathy laugh.
"I think..." You took a deep breath. "Wrecker I think I'm in love with you!"
There. You said it. It felt good. Your chest felt so much lighter.
Wrecker was silent. He stood frozen, mouth hanging open. Now it was your turn to be concerned. "Wrecker? You okay there, buddy?" Oh no. He doesn't feel the same. Oh no, you just ruined everything. Oh Maker... You felt your face fall as tears welled up once again.
"You love me, Mesh'la!?" Wrecker's voice suddenly cut though your emotional spiral. You jumped as you looked up at him. He didn't look angry or disgusted. Wrecker looked ecstatic; excited, overjoyed even. He let out a giggle and grabbed you up in his arms again, spinning you around.
He whooped loudly and you giggled, eyes wide in surprise. You hadn't been expecting this. At all.
"I've been wanting you to say that forever!" He cackled.
"Wrecker," you wheezed as he squeezed you tightly. Yes, he really took your breath away. "You're squishing me."
He stopped suddenly and put you down.
"Oops..." He snorted, "sorry Mesh'la. I just got real excited! I love you Mesh'la."
Your heart burst open once again, setting loose the waterworks.
"I love you too, Wrecker."
He twirled you around again and set you down, planting a kiss on your cheek.
"You're crying!" He knelt down, both confused and concerned at your tears.
You sniffed, wiping your cheeks. "I'm just happy, Wrecker. I'm so happy you feel the same, you've no idea."
"I think I've got some idea." He grinned and grabbed your hand in his. "Let's go blow up them clankers. We'll show Hunter what we can do together, cyar'ika. You and me, we make the best team!"

Trophy Husband (Wrecker x Senator! Reader)
Tumblr media
Notes: no warnings, just fluff.
"You'd make a terrible trophy husband." You shook your head as you watched Wrecker in the middle of his push-ups. Just as he counted out 135, he flopped on the floor and looked up at you, seated on the couch of your lavish Coruscant apartment.
"Trophy husband?"
Oh that's right, clones didn't get taught about marriage and most social norms. You blushed, ashamed at your forward thinking, but you were a senator, maybe you could make a few changes.
"Well, a trophy husband, or wife, I guess, is a partner that gets to stay home all day and have fun while their other partner works all day. It's typically an insult, especially for women who marry rich and people think they're nothing but a gold digger."
"Well, why would I be a terrible trophy husband?" Wrecker asked.
You giggled, "Well, you can't stay still for the life of you. You're too antsy to be happy with just being a trophy husband."
"Actually... that sounds really nice,"
Your face flushed as your mouth stretched into a grin, "Really?" You asked hopefully.
"Yeah," Wrecker shrugged, "Not having to constantly worry about missions and being in danger. I mean, as much as I love a good explosion..." He waved his hand at his face, "Just let me have a tooka and we'll call it good."
You threw your head back laughing and took his face in you hands to kiss his forehead.
"Does this mean we're engaged now?"
You froze. "Do...do you want to be engaged?" You asked in a tiny voice.
"Yeah," Wrecker wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you onto his lap, "I can't think of anything better than being your trophy husband."
You laughed again and let him kiss you.
"I want to give you all the nice things in life." You murmured, settling your arms around his neck, "I don't want you to ever have to worry about not having a full stomach or a comfortable place to sleep. I'll give you everything you've ever wanted."
"Really?" Wrecker's eyes went wide at your more-than-generous offer, "You're sure? I don't want to take advantage of you."
"You aren't," You silenced his worries by gently pressing your fingers to his lips, "I want to do this for you. You deserve the galaxy and more."
"Still," Wrecker shook his head to move your fingers, "Maybe I could be your bodyguard or somethin'."
"You can be my arm candy at boring senate events."
Wrecker chuckled, "Can we still get that tooka, though?"

the bad batch’s little matchmaker ✧ wrecker
angst city™ library | send in a request (consult request faqs first)
request: Omega and Wrecker going to the market and omega realizes it's cause Wrecker likes one of the fruit stand sellers. She 100% helps him figure out a way to ask the seller out - @captainsbestgal
pairing: wrecker x fem!reader; omega x fem!reader (platonic)
summary: omega is determined to find out why wrecker keeps sneaking off to the market.

warnings?: meddlesome omega, mutual pining, idiots in love, not proofread
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Omega had long since been suspicious of Wrecker’s affinity for going to the market. It made sense after missions, of course. They had to get their Mantell Mix, after all! But, it was odd how Wrecker would find an excuse to go to the market when they had a rare day off. Sometimes two, even three, times a day, even! Perhaps even stranger, he almost never came back with anything! There was only two real options in Omega’s mind: either (a) Wrecker was keeping a secret from their brothers and her; or (b) Wrecker was sneaking off to get his own snacks and wasn’t sharing her her! She wasn’t sure which was more annoying, but she did know that she was going to get to the bottom of it, once and for all.
So, when Wrecker announced that he would be going to the market, Omega was quick to jump up and offer to go with him. It was the perfect opportunity, in Omega’s not-so-professional opinion. They were between missions, waiting for Cid to tell them to recover treasure or save someone or whatever it was that she needed them to do. Which meant that there was almost nothing for them to do while they waited except, well, wait. And, oh, has Omega waited for this opportunity.
“Oh, uh—” Wrecker looked up, trying to figure out an excuse. “That’s alright! It’s really boring out there—”
“Then why have you been there twice today already?” Omega asked. She let out a dramatic sigh. “C’mon please? It’s more boring here!”
Hunter glanced up from whatever Tech was showing him on his datapad and gave Wrecker a look. The kind of look that said stop-kriffing-arguing-already. “Just take her with you,” Hunter grunted.
“But—” Wrecker began to protest. Then, he let out a sigh, his shoulders slumping. “Fine.”
Omega cheered and ran over to Wrecker, grabbing his hand and tugging him out of Cid’s parlor. “C’mon! Let’s go get some snacks!”
And, just like that, Wrecker’s sour, slightly annoyed mood lifted. A smile stretched across Wrecker’s face, an almost bounce in his step, as he listed the different snacks he wanted to get. When they reached the market, Omega pulled him toward the Mantell Mix stall, ordering a couple cartons. Omega had dropped Wrecker’s hand to pick up the two cartons. She turned to hand him a carton, the one that was slightly overfilled, but found that her brother had disappeared.
Shoot. Where did he go? How did he move so fast, so silently? Omega looked around, searching for him. It shouldn’t have been a difficult task. Wrecker stood out among clones. Surely he would stand out among the various species frequenting the market.
Finally, she saw him. He was smiling, leaning against a fruit stall, talking to the woman handing him fresh meilooruns. Omega ran up to him, dodging a few patrons along the way.
“Wrecker! You left me!” Omega said when she reached him.
Wrecker’s face burned red, his eyes starting between her and the woman behind the stall. “Oh, uhh—” Wrecker paused, trying to figure out what to say. “I told you I was coming over here?”
“No, you didn’t!” Omega argued back. “You didn’t say anything! I just turned around and you were gone!”
“Uhh—”
“You’re Omega, aren’t you?” you, the woman behind the stall, asked.
Omega frowned, eyes narrowing. Who were you? Why did you know her name? Omega knew enough from going on missions with her brothers, knew enough from Hunter’s countless warnings, to know she shouldn’t trust someone who just happened to know who she was. “Why?”
“Wrecker talks about you a lot when he stops by,” you explained. “He stopped by this morning, asking if I had any meilooruns. Said that he wanted to share some with you. Talked a lot about how he loves sharing his favorite foods with his little sister.”
Wrecker’s already red face became an even deeper shade of red. He looked down, shuffling his feet.
And just like that, a lightbulb went off over Omega’s head. Wrecker wasn’t just running off to the market. He was running off to the market to see you. It made sense. As Omega looked at you, she realized you were very pretty. Wrecker liked pretty things almost as much as he loved food, perhaps even more. Combine the two? Well, it made sense that Wrecker would like to sneak off to see you.
But it was more than that, wasn’t it? There was…fondness? Was that the word? Regardless, it was clear in your voice when you spoke about Wrecker. Omega watched as you passed Wrecker a few more meilooruns, the way you touched his wrist gently, your fingers lingering for a second, two seconds. Wrecker smiled so wide Omega was sure it had to hurt, his own fingers lingering on you.
“I told him that I was expecting a shipment in the afternoon and that I’d hold a few for him,” you continued. “When I saw him, I waved him over. It was my fault that he wandered off without you. Don’t be too upset with him, please. I didn’t realize you were with him when I saw him, otherwise I would have been more patient.” You reached over, handing Omega a meiloorun.
Omega turned the fruit over in her hands. She glanced up at Wrecker, whose eyes had gone all wide and his lips had fallen into a pout. She knew that her brother wanted her to forgive him—and honestly, she already had, after she realized why he had run off. But…Well, how long had Wrecker been doing this? Running off to the market too ee you and never make a move?
“I’ll forgive him—” she began. Wrecker cheered, pumping his fist in the air, nearly dropping a few meilooruns. “—if you go on a date with him.”
Your mouth fell open. “What?”
“C’mon, please? Wrecker talks about you all the time!” Omega lied. She knew he was going to complain about it, but it was necessary. Her brother deserved to be loved.
“What? I do not!” Wrecker protested.
Your mouth closed as you looked at Wrecker. You licked your lips, hesitating. Then— “Do you want to go on a date with me?”
“Well—yeah!” Wrecker said. “I mean, you’re nice, and you’re pretty, and you always have the best fruit recommendations, and you’re really pretty, and—”
You laughed. “Well, if you like my recommendations, then why don’t you meet me here at six? And I can take you to my favorite restaurant.”
Wrecker was nodding along, hanging on to your every word. “Yeah! I’d love that! And could we go to the ice cream place after?”
“Of course we can.”
“Okay! I’ll be here at six!”
Wrecker and Omega then bid farewell to you, before walking back to Cid’s. As they walked back, Wrecker was practically buzzing with excitement. Omega kept waiting for Wrecker to say something about what happened, but he didn’t. Not until they stood right out of Cid’s.
“Hey, uh—Thanks for that,” Wrecker said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I really appreciate it.”
“You should’ve let me come along to the market with you sooner, and you and her could already be dating,” Omega teased.
Wrecker’s face burned red again. “You think she would like to date me?”
“Duh,” Omega said. “She’d be an idiot not to.”
“She’s not an idiot. She’s really smart!” Wrecker said. “Smart as Tech, even! Well, maybe not that smart because no one’s as smart as Tech, not even droids. But she is really smart!”
“Then of course she’d date you,” Omega said. “She did ask you out after all, didn’t she?”
“Yeah, she did!” Wrecker beamed. “Thank you, again. I really like her, and I was really nervous that she wouldn’t want to be, you know, with a guy like me.”
“Well, like I said, she’d be an idiot to not want to date you, and she’s very smart. So of course she’d like you back.”
Wrecker smiled again, before noticing Echo, Tech, and Hunter. He ran into Cid’s, holding up the meilooruns, and shouting about what he found. Omega let out a laugh before following him in. You know, maybe she should do a little more matchmaking around here. She did have more brothers to set up, didn’t she? That wouldn’t be that bad at all.

Bad Batch - Sleeping/Cuddling Headcanons
Tumblr media
Author’s Note: I've had these in my drafts since I started this blog a year ago, so... enjoy? :3
Relationships: Tech x Gn!Reader, Crosshair x Gn!Reader, Hunter x Gn!Reader, Wrecker x Gn!Reader, and Echo x Gn!Reader
Warnings: One or two very mild hints of lewd content, so I'm being very safe 18+ only
Tumblr media
✦ Wrecker ✦
Tumblr media
Wrecker has always found the feeling of sleeping with something- or someone- in his arms soothing. Maybe it's the weight, or just the feeling of his arms cradling around something soft. Lula was always there for him, and he still has the stuffed tooka sitting comfortably, and close by, in the corner of his bunk.
When you came along, you ended up replacing the plush tooka in a way; Serving as a new, larger thing to hold.
Whether he's on his back and you're on his chest, or on his side and he's got your front or back against his chest, Wrecker will always have both arms effectively caging you in a hug; Holding you tight.
When it's cold, as The Marauder often gets when you're in hyperspace, it's magical. This man is a human heater in it's purest form, and him snuggling close is warmer than almost any blanket.
And also waking up after some sleep is almost always a highlight. You'll get a kiss and a 'good morning' (even if you're in hyperspace and gods know what time it is) before you have to break apart and get out of bed. Or his bunk. Or the co-pilot's seat because you fell asleep in his lap again.
But Wrecker is usually a heavy sleeper, so you've become a master at slowly wriggling your way out if you need to in the middle of the 'night', and then slipping right back in, feeling his arms re-tighten once you return into his reach.
Every now and again however Wrecker will be latched onto you too tight to allow you freedom, and you end up having to wake him up in order to escape.
Sometimes he'll let you go right away, but other times he'll put up a fight and smirk before putting some weight on you, trapping you with him until you pay the toll to escape.
The toll is always a kiss or sometimes two; Though lately he keeps raising the price...
✦ Hunter ✦
Tumblr media
Hunter admittedly takes a decent while before he's willing to be affectionate to the degree of cuddling.
He has to get using to being with someone in such a vulnerable state, and train himself out of bad habits that tell him to keep these types of things to himself, and people at arms length.
But you're nothing if not persistent, (while also being patient and understanding of course) and after a few times of falling asleep on his shoulder or inviting him to spend the night at your home, he eventually gets his inner thoughts sorted out and allows himself to indulge.
Once he's more comfortable, Hunter is always the big spoon. Tugging the covers almost and sometimes completely overtop of the both of you, Hunter will wrap his arms around your waist and tug close enough that his face presses against the back of your head.
It almost feels like a little cocoon or nest in a way, and even if you don't normally sleep like this, you have to admit it's very comfortable. (Though maybe having Hunter as part of the equation helps just a bit.)
As he's getting more sleepy he'll always take a deep breath and sigh, your hair brushing against his skin. He once tried to explain it to you once; That your familiar scent being so close meant that you were safe and he could relax. That with you in his arms, he could loosen his shoulders and close his eyes, knowing you were right here and unharmed.
Hunter always hates the way he eventually has to drag himself from the little pocket of warmth beneath the blankets you both created, but he at least got a good night's rest.
When he can't have you close by however, he absolutely has something that serves your place usually while deployed on The Marauder.
For awhile it was one of your nightshirts, and another time it was a small blanket you'd use to drape over your legs when it was cold. They both smell like you, and with his senses it helps him get to sleep that little bit faster when you aren't right there.
✦ Tech ✦
Tumblr media
Tech often falls asleep in places he shouldn’t, and most times you end up having to herd him back towards his bunk in order to get him to sleep properly.
If and when he does lay down he’s almost always on his back, leaving an arm away from his body so you can tuck against his side.
It was a bit awkward for him at first; He felt like he needed to figure the 'right' way to do sleep in the same bed together or hold you. He ended up taking your comfort as him doing it 'right' enough however, and quickly embraced his new sleeping habits.
If he doesn't instantly pass out he’ll usually tinker or read something, sometimes out loud; As once you'd asked him to, eager to listen and him eager to share. It also helps that Tech's voice is extremely consistent and soothing, and more often than not can lull you to sleep faster than anything else can.
Recently however, you’ve been trying to read to him as well. He had given you his datapad with something pulled up and quietly asked if you would; Saying he wanted to continue reading, but his head hurt too much to stare at the screen for any longer. But Tech can't leave things unfinished, even if for a few hours.
He seemed almost surprised when you had said yes, every now and again glancing over to see his eyes closed with goggles off while you read on to the next sentence.
Now almost every time you're both pressed side to side, with Tech always having an arm around you as you or him partake in some pre-sleep winding down.
Sometimes you might stutter or find the topic he's chosen a bit boring, but he seems to really enjoy it, listening to you repeat sentences of borderline incomprehensible technological theorycrafting while you wiggle deeper into the hold his arm has around your shoulders. Your cuddles and sleeping habits are a consistent, well oiled machine, which always end with a goodnight kiss.
(Meanwhile, Hunter is cursing his hearing. Please put down the datapad it's been over an hour and you're both still mumbling about software constraints and he is suffering.)
✦ Echo ✦
Tumblr media
Echo has always had trouble sleeping, especially before you’d arrived in his life. Though even if he does, and it's obvious, it takes more than a little while for him to allow himself to show he is troubled by it.
So it ends up taking a little while before you get to the point of cuddling up, and even then, you can feel Echo is a little stiff and awkward. It wasn't bad when you sit in the same seat as him, just laying your legs over his so your weight doesn't weigh down his legs, but now that your limbs are all tangled up, it's a bit more obvious.
He admits that he worries his cybernetics make him uncomfortable for you to lay with, and that maybe it isn't the best idea. He doesn't want to hurt you, he says, illuding to you waking up with dents on your skin from where your leg laid against his.
But you wake up with dents in your skin from your clothes or your leg falling off the side of your bed or the bunks in The Marauder, you're not going to let something so silly prevent you from waking up with him beside you.
Speaking of Echo's cybernetics they often make him run a bit colder than the average person, but you have zero complaints. Especially if you're on a hot planet like Tatooine...
It also means you better have more than one blanket, as he'll probably end up stealing it while he sleeps. You're all snuggled against his chest with his chin on your head, until suddenly your back feels cold; The blanket having been pulled away.
There's also been a few times that he's teasingly put a cold piece of metal against your skin under the blankets and made you almost squeal, but bringing that up always makes him feign innocence.
But most of all, he loves waking up before you, and enjoy the feeling of going back to sleep with you again. Sometimes he'll sneak a little kiss but it oftentimes it ends up waking you up, but you don't mind.
✦ Crosshair ✦
Tumblr media
Crosshair often sleeps partly leaning up, even if you lament about how that would destroy your back if you ever tried it.
Part of it is always wanting to be alert and ready to go if anything happens, and sometimes he simply passes out while working on something (his rifle, usually).
When you end up joining him in his own bunk instead of your own, for the first while he continues the habit, feeling as you lay close to him with your head by his waist.
He pretends to not be fond of the affection- as he always does- though he never actually puts his foot down. He continues to let you awkwardly sleep on him, until he finally relents to start laying on his back and you throw an arm over his stomach.
He'll throw his arm over his eyes and fall asleep, and even he can't deny that when he wakes up, he feels a little better than usual.
The sniper is absolutely a heat leech, and he- embarrassingly so to him, gets particularly cuddly when he's cold. He runs chilly, and he doesn't say it, but he really enjoys having someone keeping the little pocket of air underneath the one thin blanket he has warm because his body can't seem to do so itself...
He's far more open to this sort of affection when you're alone, like in your home per say, but if you're on The Marauder, he doesn't mind too much if you sneak into his bunk. He'll give you a little side eye, but it's more amused than anything.
It's not gotten to the point that if you for some reason don't instantly join him as you usually do, Crosshair will end up getting almost frustrated, and you'll be able to feel the heat on your back.
Sometimes you'll wake up randomly almost feeling like he's brushing your hair out of your face or touching your forehead, but he always denies doing such a thing with a scoff if you sleepily roll over and ask.

The Bad Batch: Jealousy
The bad batch x reader
Headcanons ~
A/N: I don't think I've done this yet...so here it is!!!also im lowkey falling back in love with hunter i- sorry if this is...a bit less than my other works. I haven't really been feeling good about my writings. Or in general.
Warnings:Pre-established relationship for some!
Hunter
Tumblr media
Tries his best to ignore it
(But fails)
he'll stay focused on the task but…
He can't help it when said person comes in and their eyes always drift to you
Nonetheless he doesn't really express it, I just think he isn't the type TwT
Man's bears with it until
1 said person leaves
2 you reassure him
Echo
Tumblr media
Listen man tries harder than life itself.
And succeeds.
But still he ask himself why he's even feeling that way in the first place
I mean- it's not like you two are going out…
But damn he can't help but always eye the two of you when said person asks for you specifically…
I think…echo would be more reserved. These feelings are new to him, and..I feel like he would somewhat be insecure and he would need time to get used to them
Spoilers
He doesn't-
Tumblr media
Why do I feel this man's won't care🤡
Jkjk but fr he won't show it,but it's there
Why do I see tech as someone who will quite literally bombard you will stuff to do in order to prevent you from seeing said person.
For example
There would be a time where you two were fixing a ship and you said you were hungry
Usually tech would have said a simple "alright"
But this time he offered to get your food for you.
Just because the person who he was jealous off worked at the place you like getting food from💀
Wrecker
Tumblr media
At first hes kinda oblivious ngl,
Out of everyone I don't think wrecker would be every negative about it.
But if said person was being wayy to friendly….
You can imagine what's next💀
I'd also like to think that he sees this as a chance to show off his crush/ S/O
As in... "Ill know them better than you ever will"💀💀
Crosshair
Tumblr media
Man's straight up would stare down the person💀
No but fr,
You know that scene in the clone wars he's just staring at Jesse?
Like that.
A person who expressed interest in you? Where??
Man's literally intimidated them until they left😭
