Thinking about the Kiriona-Nona kiss again, how it’s all muscle memory, just bodies reacting to bodies, lips pressing against lips without knowing why. How Nona has no clue who Kiriona is, and Kiriona knows Nona is not Harrow no matter how alike they look. How Nona kisses her not out of love but because she “looks like she needed a kiss”. How it’s a metaphor for the pain and trauma they’ve gone through turning them into completely different people, how the love is not there anymore but it never truly goes away. There’s still the innate electric impulse to kiss, but that’s it. Everything else is either gone or buried away. Their bodies screaming out the words their souls cannot remember/cannot communicate/never knew.

Im also on the floor crying but that is Totally Definitley unrelated because I’m cool and I don’t cry over fictional space bone lesbians.

I have Thoughts about harrow and gideon both seeing their relationship as romantic, actually, but they both think it’s unrequited

for gideon in particular she totally married harrow (“if aught but death part me and thee”, “sure cam, marry a moron then die, I get the urge”) EXCEPT she sees it as a one sided marriage (girl lol) and in this case death joined them rather than parting them….. so harrow’s refusal to eat her soul is a double rejection - she gave harrow her life in the physical and metaphorical sense, and from her pov harrow basically went “fuck u here’s our divorce”

Locked Tomb TV adaptation. Season 1 is most of book two until Gideon takes control of Harrows Body. Gideon is haunting the narrative but the audience doesn't catch on to that yet cause ITS BOOK TWO. Harrow has her rapid fire AUs but Gideons face nor her eyes are ever revealed. Final shot is of Harrow waking up with Gideons eyes BOOM end of season 1. (also the whole of season 1s music is understated and spacey) SEASON 2 starts with exactly like book 1. Shot of Gideon sharpening her sword. Shot of Gideons face but she's looking down (audience is like: OMG IS MYSTERY GIRL FROM LAST SEASON) Gideon looks up (Audience: THE EYES????) Pop punk lesbian sex music starts playing and that's the theme song from the rest of the season. Season 2 does all of book 1 PLUS the last 100 pages of book 2. When we make it back to where season 1 ended and Harrow looks up with Gideons eyes the theme song starts playing while Gideon fucks shit up.
