• Puts them literally everywhere. He has little tupperware boxes and mugs full of them placed all over his room.

Ghost:

• Secretly loves sitting and watching you make them. Seeing your fingers curl around the paper with each other fold, it’s just mesmerising to him.

• Can’t get the hang of it himself, though. Poor lad’s fumbling, catching his fingers on every other corner, his hands are just too big.

• Has at least one on him at all times. On a mission? Scattered across his vest pockets. Out running errands? One on the specially made keychain his house keys are on.

• Gets surprisingly upset if any of them get ripped/damaged. Still has a few on his floor because god knows this man has knocked over piles or containers of them, and/or used them as extra ammo during pillow fights.

Soap:

• Similar to Gaz, also very happy about them 😇

• Incorporates them into random things in his life. Definitely shaved a few stars into his mohawk. Maybe even got a star-related tattoo.

• Has them literally everywhere. Whenever he cleans up or redecorates his room, he’ll find at least a dozen just strewn about.

• Can’t exactly get the hang of tiny paper stars either, so whenever he makes them with you he gets big strips of paper so he can actually fold them.

• Always complains about how disarming explosives/tinkering with the tiny, intricate little bits in his snipers is somehow easier than folding those stupid bloody bits of paper.

• Angst warning ahead - Have you lot seen that tiktok video of the person who’s father hid rubber ducks around their house, and after he passed they found one in the console of their car? Yeah. That’s what you’re met with after MW3. You’re welcome 😇 (edit: found it on reddit instead of tt 😚)

Fangs:

• A little confused at first, but eventually catches up with it.

• Will get deeply upset if they lose one you’ve gifted them. Yeah, they have at least three hundred others, but it was a gift from you!!

• Like Soap, starts bringing them into projects. Impulsively starts a full art project based completely around them, and has to shamefully slink over and ask you to make them more 😇

• Sorta gets the hang of them. To say they’re a bit wonky is an understatement, but they’re trying their best, and they don’t really mind as long as they’re having fun (silently raged for at least half an hour over them).

• Paints a star on their favourite rifle. Price wasn’t very happy when they went on a night mission and he spotted a little painted star glowing in the dark, and they very reluctantly peeled of the paint and replaced it with a less noticeable colour.

There is so much Wukong x OC or Wukong x Reader I’m actually flabbergasted. Six Eared Macaque I understand but not the asexual, super Buddhist monkey.

I answered something like this nearly a year ago but I'm still going to have the same answer a few times.

Wukong is a very charming and compelling character so it's not insane to think how people can fall in love with the character romantic or not. Narratively wise there has to be some suspension of disbelief but that is why it is fiction itself, and romance is another genre used to explore character depth. Wukong is a well-written interesting characteristic and I am not surprised that people are drawn to him again whether platonically or romantically, both imply a level of affection they have for Sun Wukong. There has been other media that asks for that 'suspicion for belief' as well.

I've also spoken about how Wukong with a significant other isn't that strange either. For the past twenty years, Wukong has been the object of desire in dozens of xiyouji romance plays and moves ever since the hit film Chinse Odessey, which cemented that Sun Wukong isn't just a hero, but a human being that has his own wants and flaws, and capturing the hearts of millions cause they saw themselves in him and his struggles. I talked about how impactful this movie was in changing Wukong from a fighter to a human here and here. Nowadays with more modern films, the use of romance isn't the only trope to use to explore characters and have them relate with audiences when it comes to love and lost but in the 2000s there were dozens of Wukong romances trying to capture that magic again of Wukong experiencing love and losing it because not matter how strong he is, he is just like anyone else and have heartache.

And it doesn't have to be Wukong from the original book. While Wu Cheng'en was able to provide that Wukong himself is a complex, charming, intelligent, and fascinating individual, there are hundreds of movies and shows that also wish to explore such a transformative character. I still see how popular Hero is Back 2015 Sun Wukong was and still is as one of the most fan-favorite Wukongs. There are many different Wukongs in different media that can be fan-favorites and really stick with audiences but that doesn't necessarily mean these are meant to be Wukong from the book as movies/shows could add or subtract certain elements from the Book Wukong in these adaptations. It would be unfair to both the book and the artists to say they are the same as the novel was created 400 years ago with heavy themes and saturated in symbolism, while movies and shows are created by artists for a generation, each media a time capsule for their audience and a reflection of the directors that wish to still be unique in their designs. While I have no doubt that many people adore Wukong from the novels I can't say that anyone hasn't been influenced by other media in how they interpret Wukong as well.

That rambling aside, what I'm trying to say is that Wukong and romance are nothing new, and seeing people ship themselves with Wukong is also nothing new. Six Ears only has two chapters and only really shines when movies or shows give him screen time, which is highly skewed due to the SHEER amount of Xiyouji media with just Wukong there is making that statically Wukong of course is going to have more fans, both back then and now.

They were able to lead South Korea and save the monarchy, when the South Korean monarchy almost collapsed in 1910. They were able to win over the hearts of the people at that time after the Joseon dynasty was truly on the verge of collapse, as a result they are now the ones leading South Korea.

South Korea was truly prosperous and very advanced in the hands of the Byun dynasty. In fact, their economy is almost evenly distributed. Even their current Emperor, Byun Jiho, is famous for his high level of innovation in development and gender equality. Apart from that, he was very loyal to his wife and never had dozens or even dozens of mistresses like his father and other predecessors.

Jiho and his wife were blessed with a boy and a girl. His first child, a girl, was born in 1999, named Byun Hajoon. Hajoon has the title 'Her Imperial Highness The Princess Hajoon' (Korean : 제후한예 공주 하준). His second and youngest child, a boy, was born in 2002, his name is Byun Euijoo. Euijoo is of course the main heir to his father, because he is a boy. He has the title of Crown Prince and will one day become the next Emperor after his father dies.

When Euijoo started to grow up, South Korean people were very relieved because Euijoo really resembled his father in terms of behavior. He spoke out for gender equality which made women feel very helped for the second time after his father also helped very well before. The innovations that Euijoo often provides never go out of style but do not harm any party.

Status, wealth, and good looks make Euijoo adored by girls in his country. Many of them dream of becoming Euijoo's lover, marrying him. Oh of course, who doesn't want to be Euijoo's life partner?

Not only that, when he held the girl's arm, Euijoo felt a strange feeling gathering in his stomach, something between tense and flowery.

"Aren't you trained well? You almost got the crown prince hurt!" A sharp rebuke from the Head Maid brought Euijoo back to his senses. He was also shocked.

Euijoo knows that Eunji is his older sister's main lady-in-waiting. She was born from a middle-lower class but has a noble lineage from the Joseon dynasty. That means the dynasty was replaced by the Byun dynasty. Her mother sent her to the selection event held to choose Princess Hajoon's lady-in-waiting. And coincidentally she was elected with three other candidates.

Eunji's mother hopes that when Eunji becomes Princess Hajoon's lady-in-waiting, her family's economy can improve further, especially since the salary at the palace is very high. Eunji could be chosen because of her intelligence even though she had just graduated from high school, because Princess Hajoon really likes intelligent ladies-in-waiting, she wants her ladies-in-waiting to help in all aspects, not only in the household aspect.

His first meeting with Eunji succeeded in making Euijoo unable to sleep at all. For some reason, his brain kept thinking about his sister's beautiful lady-in-waiting.

Until one day, he was determined to approach Eunji, and the sweet Eunji opened a 'path' in her heart for Euijoo. Their closeness succeeded in building a secret relationship. Scummy is a slaver devil fruit user (marine marine no mi: grants the user the ability to manipulate and hypnotize marine life: fish, sharks, whales. This ability also works on fish men, mermaids and selkie). He uses this ability to capture fish men and occasionally mermaids. He was one of the first people to figure out yasopp was a selkie (this was before the red hair pirates became super infamous). He attempted to kidnap yasopp so he could sell him off. But because yasopp was able to fight him off scummy fell in love with him (more like became obsessed with him) but the red hairs easily beat him and got their sniper back.

Cut to years later and scummy learned about the straw hats sniper, (and son of yasopp) usopp. He decided that he must have usopp and kidnappes him. Of course usopp gets away and scummy gets his ass kicked.

Scummy is abt the same age as Smoker, so a year older than Yasopp and younger than Shanks. He was in the same platoon as Smoker but Smoker got his devilfruit and started rising much faster, so Scummy was trying to petition for a devilfruit as well when he met him.

In Loguetown, Red-hair Shanks (who was already causing trouble in the grand line for abt 5 years) was spotted, and the platoon rolled out. Most of them were shot down before they could even get close enough to aim their own muskets, leaving Scummy and a few others with Smoker leading the charge. Then Scummy met the eyes of the new, previously unknown crewmate. And Yasopp was gorgeous, so much so Scummy almost didn't see the gun he was also staring down the barrel of. Headquarters gave Scummy a fruit they couldn't identify, likely because he was low enough rank to be a labrat. Suddenly he could control every fish in the sea, and started traveling while Smoker, that sniveling bastard stayed captain of Loguetown. Scummy gained traction, an epiphet, and after half a decade he finally saw Yasopp again.

Scummy almost thought his own memory had failed him but he was still just as beautiful as the first time he saw him. Yasopp nearly shot him again, but Scummy said "Stop!" and Yasopp stopped. A similar flicker of fear to that of five years ago. Scummy was confused. Yasopp turned to run before Scummy ordered him "Stay." Scummy walked closer, Yasopp was shaking - a look in his eye like an old veteran. "You're marine life?" Yasopp started shaking harder. Scummy put a finger under his chin so Yasopp would look at him with those sharp black eyes. "Are you a merman, sweetheart?" He cooed, Yasopp looked like he wanted to kill him - adorable. "Show me your tail, baby." Scummy muttered, but instead of his legs meshing into a tail, he slowly pulled a sealskin from the bag on his back. Scummy's eyes widened. been thinking a lot about my different oc worlds recently. ive said before ive got four, but technically it's five if you count extinction.

im gonna put all my thoughts under a readmore bc once again this got insanely long jkllkjjkf. i be rambling

most of my attention has definitely been going into challenger deep the past year (and will likely continue), recently i refurbished hollowridge as well and have had a lot of fun with it (even if i havent drawn much to show for it...)

the other two of the set of four i originally posted about are my agony drive and broken horizon settings. Broken horizon is more of a personal headworld where ive set my dragon ocs, but I have not really been successful with it in terms of like. worldbuilding and crafting a story for it, mostly because there are very few characters in it currently and i struggle with it. But it's the world where cercerion and my sona dima (as an oc) exist. i would love to actually do a better job with it sometime but it currently isnt a huge priority because ive been focused on the other two main ones (but again since its just a personal headworld it literally is just some place i like to mentally hang out and fly around in, im not super bothered by it being undeveloped.)

However we have the two troublemaker worlds now

the agony drive setting has been driving me more than a little nuts because of its whole situation with it. i absolutely adore the characters i have in it, but i have no idea what to do with the world itself. it used to be a joint project so i was extremely limited in the way i could develop it bc i depended on the other individual enjoying the ideas and i did my best to keep it afloat almost being the sole contributor to it, so now that its liberated i just didnt know what to do with it. i do like a bunch of the lore bits i came up with but some part of me is like 'idk if i enjoy this as a world' bc it still feels limited in some way? Another issue is that while hollowridge (previously my horror and slapstick gore setting with demons/angels/magic vibes) was dead in the water, i channeled that violence slapstick demon/magic vibe through TAD, but getting a focus back on hollowridge has kinda just. straight up deleted a bunch of TAD's reason to exist? i dont know if that makes sense

HR isnt really that much slapstick violence because death is final, and TAD is more cartoony in that sense bc death ISNT final which is its main reason to exist (unlimited violent major character death for the funnies), but theres a weird overlap that is keeping me from focusing correctly because it makes my brain go 'you are doing the same thing twice'

I would really really love to actually turn it into something fun and unique (separate from my other worlds) but i really havent been sure how to go about it because of that overlap. i genuinely think its just a problem of 'you have to actually develop the setting to have fun in it' and i just havent been able to do that yet bc i cant decide what i want it to BE. TAD has also never really had a lot of story to begin with so it makes things harder bc the story is the vehicle to explore the world with. its pretty frustrating bc midas set and david are some of my fav ocs ive made and i miss them but god dammit if it isnt hard to actually work with the whole thing....

and last but not least... the fifth one. extinction. a lot of you probably know this one from my comic. if youve been here since like... 2014-2015 (which would be insane) you might remember me beginning to develop that story until it eventually became the comic that is currently sitting unfinished and feels like a huge weight on my shoulders just out of sheer shame

the issue with extinction is that it was a lot of characters that i deeply loved (and still i still deeply love!!) all with fun plotlines, backstories, and a lot of fun tidbits to em that i ended up bending and breaking dozens of times just for the purpose of fitting them into a relatively short story that i could draw out and finish. and more importantly into something i hoped would be handleable instead of spiralling out of control like it had happened before

but what i didnt realize is that by doing so, i "locked" their lore in place into these very small boxes that would fit into a story, and thus i would remove what i had loved about those characters and their interactions that i had come up with years and years ago and a lot of my very very cool ideas for them simply went out the window in favor of .... well i dont. know. but off it went

i live in complete shame for not being able to finish the comic. it genuinely is a huge and extremely heavy weight on my shoulders and this whole thing has prevented me from even thinking of said ocs for years now even though they are some of my oldest and most beloved. saying all of this is not something i take lightly in the least as well

so recently I have been thinking about bringing them back as well... maybe (to the extent that i can... i have a lot of ocs and you guys know i have a lot of bias when drawing faves. so i cant guarantee content but at least i would be able to think about them again).

essentially the same way that i rewrote and got back my old concepts for hollowridge that slapped hard i want to get back my original ideas for extinction that i thought were really cool and just wasnt able to fit into a comic narrative

obviously this would come with a lot of retconning and i know a lot of people will probably not like it if i do it and i think thats something i have to face and learn to live with

but yeah anyways. TLDR is i really want to actually do something proper for TAD but have been having a lot of trouble with it unfortunately, but im working on it. and ive also been feeling rly nostalgic about extinction so you might see the characters again, albeit different in terms of story from what you probably know

not so much a fic writer question from the list, but your reply to #48 got me thinking - have you read Sansukh by @Determanfidd? If yes, what did you think of it?

I have! Probably much more recently than every other person on the planet who likes Legolas and Gimli, but I finally have and I adore it.

It took me a while to get fully invested, in part because I'm not really a fan of the leaning-into-movieverse-and-then-pushing-further thing that people have a tendency to do where they really dial-up the antagonism between Legolas and Gimli, which this fic did do in the beginning so I gave it a little side-eye about that for the first few chapters (but thankfully by then I was already intrigued by the dwarves so I kept reading)...and in a much larger part because—and I realize that I'm about to speak sacrilege in the eyes of many here, yes—I simply do not care about Bilbo and Thorin as a couple. I don't! I actually filtered that tag out when I first started looking through the Legolas/Gimli tag on AO3 because of how completely disinterested I was (hence Sansûkh not even showing-up in the tag for me at first lol).

But I kept seeing references to it on tumblr and in fanart (in particular this one) so one night when I ran out of other stories that I was interested in reading I finally popped it open...and, huh, that's an interesting beginning, okay. So I read a little more. And I found myself quickly getting interested almost in spite of myself in all these dwarves whom, I must confess, I genuinely could not remember which was which in most cases (meaning their depictions in the movie; I couldn't place which name went with which dwarf; I googled a few times I'm not going to lie). So it was interesting also in a more meta-sense, because here was this author taking existing canon characterizations and details and building up a whole society upon them...but to me, they were effectively complete OCs. So it was I'm sure a very different reading experience for me than it was for most readers, because I had no context for over half the canon cast!

(The only reason I sometimes know who the movie dwarves are now when people reference them is because of this fic I am not kidding.)

Although speaking of OCs...oh my stars, the OCs in this story are amazing. I'm glad especially that I already had a Mirkwood Populace of my own conceived before I read this, because Laerophen in particular is just the best and I want to read a dozen more stories with him and it would be very difficult to be trying to come up with Mirkwood OCs now without ending up with pale imitations of Legolas's brothers here if I hadn't already had Rilaerloth and company living in my head.

(I will forever live in hope that the author will someday figure out a way to write an original novel with the general premise of that ending trio's journey to the east because that would be amazing.)

Anyway, Sansûkh very quickly went from "I suppose this is interesting" to "I am so invested in this entire universe holy crap" for me and I've actually read the whole thing through twice now. I actually even gave a crap about Bilbo and Thorin's relationship by the end! I was rooting for them so hard!

Absolutely great fic. Spectacular world building, great character work both for the canon folks and especially for the OCs. Love it, recommend it with enthusiasm...even to folks who potentially don't ship one of the main couples, or think they have no interest in most of the characters XD

Although I maintain that I do still want this fic too.

4 Still Unnamed centaur AU: Alright so Price is the very proud owner of a centaur wildlife reserve which is a place that takes injured centaurs and fixes them up so they can be released again. Ghost, Soap, Gaz, Roach, König, and my OC Flower (pls ask me about him), are all centaurs who cannot be released into the wild due to various reasons and they act as like ambassadors, they even organise events to help raise centaur awareness (everyone especially adores the kids that come with school visits) but Shepard, who is a very high official in the wildlife reserve business, only sees centaurs as beasts and not like the intelligent beings they are. He tries to put Price out of business at every opportunity and is generally an all around dick. Yet nothing seems to work as support for centaur communities continues to blow up due to the team being adorable and in love together, i mean look at Ghost blushing as Soap tries to court him! It's adorable!

6 The Men In The Corner Booth: It's basically an outside view on the lads from the perspective of a gay bar and it's patrons. I love outsider POVs so i decided to make my own. It's mostly about the lads being disgustingly in love with each other while also being absolutely insane. Also features another of my OCs i call Timber. I don't have much yet but i still love it.

7 Wild Wild West: A RDR2 and COD crossover, i also love this one. The lads are a bounty hunter gang who mainly deal with the worst of the worst and are on the search for Graves who betrayed them, they find out Graves is working with these dudes called the Pinkertons and accidentally stumble upon the Van Der Linde Gang getting shot at and decide to intervene. They team up and join the camp as they search for Graves, in the meantime they show the Van Der Linde gang that things could be better mainly by just doing their own thing as they normally do. (AKA everyone does the chores and brings in money instead of relying on one dude to do it, i am a firm believer in letting Arthur rest. That poor man needs it) Ghost and Arthur bond, Hosea and Price bond over being dads, Price sets Dutch straight, they drive Micah crazy. Very fun. Also stars Flower because i love my boy.

Nobody asked for it, but i need to rant about my Star Wars COD crossover too, it's very self indulgent and full of my own headcanons so be warned. It's about Ghost and Soap being Mandalorian bounty hunters who just got married a week ago and still very deep in that honeymoon phase. They make a stop on Coruscant because they're out of the tea Ghost drinks and Ghost without his tea is a nightmare so they go get it even though Coruscant is a sensory nightmare (They are both force sensitive because the Force is very cool and force sensitive Mando's exist damnit) they find his tea, but also find a wee little baby Obi-Wan, freshly traumatized from Bandomeer, hiding in a alley because Obi had a panic attack while searching for his master at the markets. Ghost and Soap's Mandalorian instincts activate, Soap sees Obi is Stewjoni like him and gets even more protective. And well the marriage is really new but it's never too early to adopt right?

Baby Obi gets fed copious amounts of tea and cookies and gets adopted, but requests to get brought back to the Jedi temple because he does really want to be a Jedi and finish his education, Ghost is a bit pouty but they drop him off by the temple with a care package and a few dozen comm numbers to call if he ever gets in trouble or just wants to call his new family. And because Obi-Wan is the greatest danger magnet to have ever lived he will get in a lot of trouble lol.

BOOM. MY OLD ART FROM LIKE 2018/19???

This is my bestie's Harry Potter OC that I drew for her! I actually had some similar drawings of both our OCs, but they're not in my possession right now XD and maybe they'll never be! But it's cool to see how very far I'll e come since then.here's some of my more recent art, just so you can see them side by side XD

For me, personally, seeing them side by side makes me giddy. They're so different, it's hard to link them together, hard to look at them and think the same person drew them. But I did. And as someone who grew up with another fabulous artist (@/rustic-space-fiddle), | was always impatient, always discouraged to look at my own art and see everything it was missing. I wanted to draw like Rusty, but I was so very unskilled. I was very eager to reach the day when I could match her skill, when I could look at my art and see in it everything that I saw in hers.

And today, I can honestly, confidently, gratefully say that I have arrived.

Obviously, if you go check out Rusty’s art, you’ll see I am by no means as good as her. But I learned awhile ago that I’ll never be, no one will—not only am I biased that she’s the best artist in the world (because she is), but Rusty draws the way only Rusty can, and the way only she will. Others may draw similarly, others may copy her, but art is like a fingerprint. Each style and piece is unique to the person who drew it. Therefore, it’s unfair for me to compare myself to Rusty when I could never possess her fingerprint in the first place. But that doesn’t change the fact that I used to compare myself to her so harshly—and the fact that to a younger me, I have achieved exactly what I wanted.

2018 was not the year I started drawing. Was it perhaps the year of my first exploration into the digital realm? Yes, but before then, I was drawing horses. I love horses, and I loved them so much they were all I ever drew. My walls were adorned with dozens of drawings of horses. I’ve since fallen out of the habit of drawing horses so regularly, but all those drawings are what started me drawing. I learned to hold a pencil and put it to paper drawing horses, and then from there, I just started drawing everything else. I only recently started drawing in seriousness, in the grand scheme of things. A year or two ago. And then I was drawing people most of the time, and the occasional dog or cat. And there were many bumps along the way—my discouragement at my own ability, as well as my inability to draw digitally, as I was quickly coming to love. The iPad I used at the time simply didn’t support Procreate after awhile, so I was using my sister’s iPad.

There are also the artists which inspired me. Obviously, rustic-space-fiddle was—and still is—my number one support and inspiration, she was my goal. But then I got instagram and I saw people’s different styles, and while I don’t know where exactly the inspiration from them comes from, it’s certainly there, perhaps in the courage with which I now draw. The second biggest inspiration in my life has been, without a doubt, Jojo. Her art style, which I adore, is something I have tried to imbue in mine—I’ve been told before that it can be seen, but I’m unsure of that. Still, even if I do not draw in her style, I think I draw in her energy. In the way that I draw Legend, that style, that goal, that love for him and her art, I think it’s there every time I draw Legend, and even in the other things that I draw too. She may never know, but she is perhaps the only other artist in the world I have ever really hoped to be like.

Anyways. I guess what I am simply trying to say is I’m happy. I’m proud. I’m content with my art, in a way I once hoped I would achieve, and while I know I have many things to learn, I approach them without that lost hopelessness I used to feel, but with passion, curiosity, and the determination to grow better.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. You didn’t really have any reason to read this—even if we have talked, even if we are mutuals, I’m still a stranger whose ramblings about her art hold almost no weight at all. But you did anyways, because you were curious, because you cared, because it was interesting, moving, inspiring. Whatever it was, thank you :)

I’ve come a very long way. And I’ll go a very long way more. I hope you’ll be here to see it all!

oh,,, oh you have given me the opportunity to dump Robert's office lore onto the world,,, thank you for this

Okay so to start, yes, Giselle visits his office often, and all his coworkers love her, BUT, we gotta start from the beginning, it's important.

For a few months, Robert kept his relationship with Giselle a secret because 1) he didn't want anyone assuming she was simply his rebound and nothing more, and 2) things didn't exactly go... well during her first visit. Robert was worried his coworkers would be rude to Giselle, so he was kind of trying to, like, push back telling them in hopes they might forget (they don't, but it's fine)

With Sam, she wasn't crazy about Giselle at first. She definitely thought she was Robert's weird way of coping with Nancy dumping him (which, btw, Robert tells Sam their breakup was mutual, but she doesn't believe that. she thinks Nancy rejected his proposal, thus leaving him heartbroken, and desperate enough to jump in bed with the 'weirdo' that almost ate her fish,, ANYWAY). Sam's known Robert for years, and has a hard time believing he'd ever actually fall for someone like Giselle. And while it does take her awhile, she eventually warms up to the other woman, and actually gets to a point where she's looking at Robert like, "how'd you land a woman like that :///"

Then there's Mike, who is my OC, but he's based on someone in the scene ~

We only see him for a second, but I wanted there to be another coworker Robert could kinda be buddies with, so there he is 🫡

Before Robert told them about Giselle, he and Sam would gossip about why they think Robert is suddenly so happy, and they wondered if he might be On Something™️. But once he officially meets Giselle, he loves her right away, and always looks forward to the baked goods she brings everyone.

And then there's Carl, Robert's boss. He has two scenes in the script as opposed to only one, and in that second scene, he's upset with that couple getting back together, and he snaps at Robert about it. In the movie, he is (rightfully) frustrated with Robert, and says, "you're the one who begged me to put you on this case, and this is what I get?". Because of these scenes, I headcanon that Carl doesn't care for Robert, and really only kept him around because he knew his parents, and liked them. I also think most of the office is scared of him, and tries their best to stay on his good side. But Giselle, she enchants everyone she meets, baby, and that includes mean, grumpy bosses 😌

She had one conversation with Carl about his tie in the elevator, and for some reason, one he can't explain, he just... absolutely adored her. From that moment on, Carl became like, the nicest man ever, and Robert, Sam, and Mike were absolutely baffled. When Robert saw them coming out of the elevator laughing, he was like ????? Carl ?? Smiles?????????????? and Giselle, later, was like, "he's not scary at all, I think you're all just being silly" and he's like, "no !!! no, he was scary !!!!!!! you worked your magic on him, and now he's not !! but he was !!!!!!!!!!!!"

ANYWAY, okay, The Office™️ lore has been dumped. thank you. now onto the actual question, which is, yes ! Giselle does visit Robert's office often ! Sometimes she'll stop by with something she made for lunch, and several dozen cookies she baked for everyone in the office, and other times she'll pick up food on the way. Robert used to share an office space with a few other lawyers, but once Giselle enchanted Carl, he was suddenly gifted his own private office, with a lock, and Giselle really likes that 😏 (one day I'll finish my fic where she keeps kissing him, and getting lipstick all over his neck, and he's suffering, and whining about how, "we're in my office" and she just nods, and says, "I am aware, and there is a lock, so no one can interrupt us >:)")

and she always makes sure to chat with Sam, and Mike, and Carl if they're available. everyone Robert works with loves Giselle, and she loves them 💖 and they were thrilled when Giselle announced she was pregnant, omg, they couldn't wait to meet little Sofia.

AJ & Clay - Wedding Invitations

Just a little something I came up with. I had a wedding invitation in mind and worked on it but it somehow didn't turn out how I wanted it to, so I made these instead. The pics below are all the same three pictures, I just choose different flowers and different bg colours. I hope you like it.

Edit: I created a new wedding invitation (more or less..) and the flowers may be a bit too much but anyway.

Also, Clay and AJ don't know each other (yet) and that's just me shipping Teethy's Clay with my OC AJ, so not canon.

Also a lil something because why not?

AJ leaned over the wedding invitations she's been working on for a while, having printed dozens of stickers of different flowers, varying in colour, size and form. Said flowers which she currently used to assault the invitations with, it seems.

Clay, hearing AJ quietly laugh to herself, makes his way in her direction. Looking over her shoulder he raises one eyebrow in surprise. "Don'tcha think that's a bit too many flowers sugar?" he questions, amusement lacing his words.

The paper was coloured in teal, getting lighter to the bottom. Tiny stars and crescent moons, as well as two orange orchids were adoring the invitation. Their names, a small text and two more flower elements were also beautifully arranged on the paper. What seemed to be more than enough tho were the flower stickers.

Hearing his voice AJ turns around, the corner of her lips tilting upwards. "Never" she just says, which in turn makes Clay grin. Looking up at the man she's lucky enough to call her own, she reaches one hand up, cupping the side of his face. The redhead covers her hand with one of his own in return, the difference in size between both their hands noticable. Angling his head to the side he puts a kiss to her wrist, which makes AJ melt in adoration.

"I love you" she quietly says, the fondness in her voice evident. Rising from her chair her other hand finds the front of Clay's tee, tugging him gently closer. Clay takes a step forward, both of his hands cupping her face, pulling her closer while leaning down until they are face to face, both of their noses nearly touching. "I love you too" he whispers against her lips before closing the distance.

The invitations forgotten for the time being.

Alright, so!! For the headcanons ask game! I'm going in a bit blind, but this is all based on your answers in my ask games that I sent you!

The first thing that came to mind was that Vanna is really good at whittling! She carves all sorts of wooden figurines and despite being a bit strong nord woman, she is actually very patient!

For Solis, I'd say that he is a very good navigator. He forgot all of his past, so he had a lot of free space in his mind and he strikes me as the sort of person who is fascinated by maps (for some reason) and he memorized dozens of them and he has a very good sense of direction. He's also the broody type whose laugh is the rarest, best sound in the world to me.

Judging by your latest WIP Wednesday, I get strong vibes that your Miraak loves nature and he could spent all day just laying on the grass and admiring the life that surrounds him!

And (based on that style aesthetic vs practicality ask) Elentari seems like a very elegant woman, so my headcanon is that she is very good at sewing and customising her robes and this is something that she's been doing since she was little.

I know these are a bit random, but I hope I'm close enough to at least one of your ocs 😅

AH, how were you able to read my little blorbos so accurately? 👀

Vanna might not be the most patient person on the planet, but she does love carving—I like to think she whittled toys for herself and the others at Honorhall Orphanage, and if you were to visit there even more than a decade later, even now that Grelod is gone, you might see the children playing with the things she's carved. (it would make her very happy to learn that, as if there's a tiny shred of good outweighing all the wrong she's done.)

Solis, meanwhile, is something of a homing pigeon unbeknownst to him; he could visit somewhere once and memorise the way there forevermore, and he certainly likes how free maps make him feel. (he doesn't remember, but he grew up on Vvardenfell. take him there, and his feet might just carry him to Sadrith Mora...) he's not especially used to laughter other than perhaps a small amused huff, so hearing him actually laugh would be a rare thing indeed!

my Miraak absolutely does adore nature and how alive he feels in it, and Elentari is a very talented sewist indeed! she's made virtually every item of clothing she owns, every gown and set of robes, and intricately embroidered them to boot—often using enchanted thread that keeps her warm in harsh Skyrim weather, or defends her against blades as well as any armour. she likes to gift little enchanted embroidered items to people, too! 🥰

1. What fic of yours would you recommend to someone who had never read any of your work? (In other words, what do you think is the best introduction to your fics?)

Ooh hard to say. If the person is open to OC fics...then the Morgan Wells AU and my Lucy Kenobi AU. Especially since those are being actively written, and have been for a while, so you can chart my growth as a writer through them 😅

If they're not...then maybe "the little things (give you away)". It's Iris-centric, explores her feelings, explores Savitar a little more deeply...all of which might as well be part of my brand at this point 😅

Ooh also "come in, the water is(n't) fine"—I feel like it introduces me as a writer who's not afraid to write out-there/niche fic concepts, which is true! (The OC fics introduce that too, but this is an alternative for people who don’t like OC fics)

2. Go to your AO3 “Works” page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for “Additional Tags.” What are your top 3-5 most used tags? Do you think they accurately represent your writing habits?

Canon Compliant, Title from a Taylor Swift Song, Canon Divergence, Father-Daughter Relationship, and Brother-Sister Relationships

Well...canon and I have a love-hate relationship—I align with their themes above all, then characterization, then plot. Usually my fics end up "canon nudged to the left". If I use the canon compliant tag, it usually means it isn't contradicted by canon, like it could be canon, but it's technically not (and might slightly contradict plot points or elements of characterization but still sticks to the themes). Canon compatible, if you will.

My titles come from all sorts of songs tbh, Taylor Swift’s songs are just easier to recall and that tag being “canonical” means it pops up more often in filtering.

Father-Daughter Relationship...absolutely. 100%. Morgan & Thawne (derogatory), Daniel & Sam, Harry & Jesse (not yet but in the future)...I do love them 🥰

Brother-Sister Relationships...well do I even have to say it 😂 Barry & Morgan and Lucy & Luke, my beloveds!! My brand!!

10. How do you decide what to write?

Honestly? It's wherever the muse leads. I get so many ideas, but...ideas are a dime a dozen. I figure out what I want to write based on which one I keep thinking about...and which one makes the words flow easier. Not much of a technical answer, sorry to say 😅 I just kinda go with the flow. The worst thing is trying to force your way through writing a fic—no one wins in that case.

11. Are you partial to a certain character/pairing or are you more equal-opportunity? If you are partial to any character/pairing, why do you think that is?

Oooh I am very partial towards platonic pairings nowadays...mostly because my OC fics (which I'm currently writing) have those. So do most of my fics, really—gen takes center stage. I ofc do love writing Maiko when the muse strikes, and I've written a few ficlets for Westallen, Snowest, Barrisco, Thallen, Westhallen, etc. Though I hope to write a full fic for Westallen this year!

Honestly I think I drift to gen fic because that's why I came to AO3 😂 the filtering on other sites is horrendous, and gen fics are difficult to find categorized so neatly. I've always been more compelled by platonic relationships than romantic ones, even as I cling tightly to the ships I adore. There’s just so much there…and so much of deep platonic relationships gets them labeled romantic by fandom or is otherwise stripped away. Strong platonic relationships are my kryptonite 💞 I love them so much. Whether they’re loving, complicated…or whether they’re in some way unhealthy or tied to a corruption arc 👀

As for why I love the ships I love...well, Maiko is just very near and dear to my heart and always will be, Westallen is the amazing gold-standard couple of my dreams (and they make each other better!), and Snowest, Westhallen, and Barrisco are my non-canon sweethearts 🥰 Caitlin and Iris have so many interesting parallels (I started shipping them out of spite and then I got attached), Westhallen is the perfect ending to s1, and Barrisco...they're just sunshine personified, come on (and Cisco is practically Barry's second lightning rod anyway, lbr. Don't be surprised if I end up writing Barriscowest one day). And ofc the list of ships I love goes on—Percabeth might very well be written one day

12. Are there any tropes you used to dislike but have grown on you?

Hmm...I don't know of any tropes I've ever disliked that I like now, but...I think I like villain redemption more than I used to. Partly because of Zuko's arc in ATLA being so well-done. The problem is that so many villain redemptions aren't done well—either the villain isn't fully redeemed but the story acts like they are, or the villain IS fully redeemed and their claws are filed down—they lose their edge. Both are bad iterations of this trope ✋ the best is Zuko's. He joins the team, atones by literally helping them take down his father...and he never loses his edge, he just softens a smidge toward them. Which is natural—they ARE his friends, but he's still HIM, he's still got his edge that makes the others think "man I'm glad he's on our side now"

16. What’s an AU you would love to read (or have read and loved)?

Killer Frost Barry! I've read a few fics with this trope (see this tag if you wanna read them too!), and they’re all wonderful, but I want more. I loosely teased the idea of writing one (and in that case, I'd probably have Iris as the Flash because she's always my first choice for when Barry isn't the Flash), and...who knows? Maybe one day.

Same for Iris as the Flash in general tbh. Out of both of these ideas, this is the one I’m more likely to write—speedster Iris, my beloved 🥰

41. Link a fic that made you think, “Wow, I want to write like that.”

Oh absolutely "Mind, Body, Soul" by palaces_out_of_paragraphs. Aside from it being a Barry-comforts-Iris-after-the-Mirrorverse fic, my favorite genre...it's also so lyrical in its writing:

"Iris counts their breaths in and out, his ribcage softly rising and falling over hers like a song. And she loses herself in the way he feels so warm, even all these stories up in the air, that lightning-like heat from him glowing between them, sparkling under the darkening sky, bathing her body in warmth."

Absolutely gorgeous. I can't recommend it highly enough

on average, how many clones of chloe exist at one time? I'm guessing the first ever chloe is long dead and only their consciousness is centuries old. Of course, I'm also assuming this is a double cherry scenario where every clone is the 'master copy' - so the chloes all share one 'soul'. Though I can imagine being a mimic (but not a merch one, right?) they'd have to be really careful not to let a stray clone attract any angelic attention!

Chloe is made out of an infinite number of increasingly smaller Chloes. Chloe is a “fractal being”, something with infinite iterations that acts via the consensus of all sub-Chloes involved. Every clone of Chloe is just another splinter of the main mass of Chloe. This is why Chloe is referred to as “They”, though it’s also because they can’t usually decide on presenting masc or femme, either.

🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

For obvious, be it very personal reasons, grief plays a major role in many of the things I write. Loss of a loved one, but also the mourning of chances not taken, of paths now seemingly blocked. (The latter has a lot of overlap though with me trying to not romanticize Organized Crime, so it's not just 'here is someone grieving for their past self and that is something normal we all go through', but 'Living this life will never make you happy and instead lock you into one of your potential worst selves').

I liked some good eating metaphors, even far before I knew what was going on metatextually, but now it's kicked into hyperdrive. Food, teeth, hunger, all those are things that often find their way into my writing, in minor ways.

I also love a good historical allusion, goddammit. To be fair, I don't know how many I've actually written into my writing, but I very often think about how I could represent characters with elements from myth or history. I adore a historical nickname, even if it is rather for the parent generation. Fernando's nickname being 'El Rey', and thusly Antonio at first being called 'El Principe', before the other senior Spanish mobsters realized he's pursueing a different style of business conduct and so he got stuck with 'El Conquistador'. Salvatore being known as 'Caesar' or 'Dionysius of Palermo'. Haunted houses, HUGE thing. The English office being a former Victorian era factory, Michele's house made to resemble a Roman villa, the O'Connel's house formerly being a house where in Industrial times, dozens of people lived in crammed conditions. Two of the Danish subordinates are directly based on two heroes from the medieval German epic 'Kudrun'. Dolcetto's cat is named Machiavelli and Lovino is the reason.

🎢 Which of your fics would you call your wildest ride?

I can't judge this one on subject matter (Though I guess, as far as fucked up shit goes, La Sicilia dell'eterna notte gets disturbing very quick for something with less than 500 words). Therefore, I will go for the writing process. No Rest For The Wicked was written within a week, with no prior planning whatsoever and with a deadline for rarepairweek to meet. That was some topsy turvy shit. And the latter half of Italian Affairs, like the last third I guess, is a rollercoaster ride - both in its creation and within the actual text.

But the award has to go to The Amulet. I still have to have a call with Emi and iron out the last comments, before I print the 70 pages out and proofread them. And then I can finally, FINALLY upload them.

I started writing the first draft of the story on paper in January 2017. The idea of wanting to write something with my Greek and Turkish OCs had been ghosting around my head for a while. But I initially started writing because I was stuck on Italian Affairs and none of the characters would talk to me (e.g. everything I wrote in their voice sounded ooc), so I started writing something else to 'make them jealous'. Absolute pro tip btw, pivoting away from one story when you are stuck with another will do wonders for making you inspired for the first story again. Get out of that rut. Anyways, so I started writing that draft and then continued doing so when I had a free minute at school, until the story was done. I then typed up the draft and did a first round of revisions. I tried to find beta-readers for it, which also worked in 2019. But I still didn't publish it, because the beta never made it to the end. And then it sat and sat in my drafts, while I worked on other projects. My writing improved, my standards raised themselves. And I began to see why the story had always bugged me. I saw that I would have to scrap the whole thing and start from scratch, with extensive research and some soul-searching. And this is what I did - Before I was able to write part 3, I spent weeks hovering up information about the Turkish Republic and the 2014 election and so on. Only for it to vaguely matter for half a page in this 70 page epos. (But worth it, I love learning stuff). I eventually got dear Emi as a beta, who immensely helped to improve this text. Let's all hope that after 6 years of work, it'll finally see the light of day.

Will Alyse ever be queen? Can you give more details on her relationship with the royal family, esp. Aemond and Helaena?

thank you so, so much for this! it means a lot to me that you find alyse interesting enough to be curious about a pairing with a character you're not even fond of! 🥰

as for alyse being queen, i intend to make some changes with what happens in fire & blood to make sure that they have at least a thimble of marital bliss after the cavalcade of nonsense and pain that happens to both of them during the dance. they can have a taste of happiness before everything falls apart even further, lmao. as for her relationships! i adore her dynamic with aemond because it's so slow to start, but by the end, they are vicious for each other rather than with each other. what begins with terse comments and the occasional teasing ends with two people who are tethered together by how cruel the world has made them and all that they would do for each other. what helaena sees in alyse is relief. with three children born and two of them male, she doesn't have to suffer aegon's drunken interruptions anymore, and she is content with that. happy with it, even. she doesn't understand why alyse finds such joy in her brother, but she is also unwilling to ask questions. ALSO — alyse spends a lot of time with jaehaerys and jaehaerya and maelor, too, and the children seem to love her, which is another point in her favor! alyse's relationship with alicent is by far my favorite. (apart from her relationship with aegon, obviously.) she loathes feeling as if she is throwing a sweet, highborn girl to her son, but at the same time, it is a matter of weighing a single willing sacrifice against a dozen or perhaps a hundred women that aegon might abuse. alicent feels immense guilt about her part in everything and so she shows alyse the kindness that no one ever showed her while she was suffering through her marriage and all it entailed. i can't even begin to say how excited i am to write scenes between the two of them!!
