so mordred is sick and we're short on testing money

ive posted a few times about mordred being sick lately, and his xray wiped out most of our money for the next two weeks. if it is lung worms or a bad virus, im afraid of it getting worse and possibly doing permanent damage in the time before our next payday since hes already been dealing with it for so long. he and his sister are my everything, i couldnt stand it if anything happened to them that we could help.

so please, dont put yourself in a tough situation just to help us out, but if you have enough to remain comfortable after donating we would appreciate it so much. if youd like something in return my partner would draw anything youd like, their art blog is here , just send one of us a msg/ask and theyll get started on it as soon as theyre back from work

A happy update on Jade! (If you don't know what I'm talking about, here's part one which is very long if you read the whole thing, and a 'things are getting better' part two.) I'll put it under the cut since it's still about a sick kitty, even though she's doing a lot better.

She had a vet appointment earlier this week, and I was right she has gained some weight back. The infection she had is fully cleared. Which I'm very glad of, I didn't relish the thought of giving her another round of antibiotics. But the best news is her kidney function has improved some! So the prescription kidney food we switched her to has helped, which is great!

I'd say her behavior is about 95% back to normal. She even started playing again last week, which almost had me crying from joy! And she's been a lot more demanding of attention, as well as more talkative again.

Honestly, for being around 12 years old I think Jade bounced back pretty fast! I'm not going to lie, I was really worried there for a while. So I'm really thankful she's stabilized for now. We'll do everything we can for her to keep her as happy and healthy as possible, for as long as possible.

#it's nice to have some concrete proof that Jade is doing better besides just how she's behaving #y'all have no idea how relieved I am to see such a big improvement! #we've adopted her over 11 years ago and she's the sweetest cutest cat ever #it's so hard to imagine life without her and I'm so glad I don't have to yet #I think it would be reasonable to assume I named her given my love of geology and semi-precious and precious rocks and minerals #but actually the cat rescue we adopted her from named her Jade for her green eyes #someone once told me that was because she was meant to be our cat and that comment has stuck with me ever since #Jade #sick cat

sorry for not replying to stuff i got hyperfocused on a paper about caesar then i had to fucking sprint to the mall bc my mother needed something and it closed in half an hour then i had a meltdown bc there was dust in my room then i had to smash decades old concrete out of the holes in 68 bricks and i made a bed for a homeless cat

#i need to sleep but i keep thinking abt the cat. everyone always focuses on feeding strays but #no one ever talks abt the fact that they have no one to play with. they don’t have toys #in my experience strays don’t always like the fancy toys but they love chasing string/feathers etc #and playing the game where they wrap around ur arm and wrestle you #i have to find out what he likes to play. so does he probably. i have to make sure he is happy #like where is he rn where’s he sleeping where does he keep warm. he was trying to make cookies on the concrete w his paws #but he couldn’t bc it wasn’t soft enough i’m inconsolable. i hope he finds the bed i made

ARTEMIS

I'm always ready to talk about Artemis. I swear I will make an updated OC post about them since I've changed some things with their backstory and whatnot since I made the original post on them. 

Artemis is still mates with Tugger, but their other mate is my friend’s OC named Lorenzo (Who... is just Golden Alonzo but as a separate character).  Honestly I’ve had nonstop brainrot about them and will probably write a lot about those two in my eventual updated Artemis info post. 

Lorenzo is an ex-henchcat who upon his return to the Junkyard started spending time with Artemis in order to learn everything that happened in the tribe while he was gone. The two started a fwbs relationship, but fell in love soon after that. And like.. the two are so SO in love and are low-key obsessed with the other. I just.. I love the both of them a lot.
