Howdy whistles contently to himself while organizing the shelves of his store. His work is cut short by the familiar jingle of the bell at the entrance, alerting him of your presence. “Howdy, neighbor, welcome to my bodega! Anything you need, I got it for ya. How can I be of service?” Howdy greets you with a warm smile as you step inside.

You walk up to the front counter and clear your throat. “I know this is not what you're currently selling, but…” Howdy's big, buggy eyes twinkled, “What is it? I can get it in stock in a jiffy, if you'd like!” You awkwardly press your lips into a thin line and exclaim, “It's not a product.”

“Oh?” He pauses. “Then what is it?” He asks slowly, the gentle baritone of his voice flowing through your eardrums. His eyebrows furrow and antennae shuffle with worry. You snicker and wave your hand dismissively, “Hey, don't give me that look! I wanted a hug!”

The frown on his fluffy face soon molded into a bright smile. "Oh, then why didn't ya just say that, lovebug?" He rushes over from behind the counter and swoops you off your feet. Howdy's lower pair of arms kept you up as he wraps his upper pair around your waist. He gently squeezes you close. "You're the cutest, (Name)!" The two of you giggle, giving sweet butterfly kisses against each other's noses.

Barnaby slouches in the bench chair and sighs. He takes a bite out of his hotdog when his eyes trail to a familiar face, walking up to him. "Ah, ey, kiddo. Whatchu want?" He gives you a relaxed smile. "I wanted to ask you for something."

He tilts his head, eyebrow raised. "Hmm? Go on, I got time." You take in a deep breath, "Hey Barnaby, Can you…" You pause as he leans closer to you. "Can you hold me? I've had kinda a rough day, and you're my go-to." He takes the last bite of his hotdog and pats his lap. " 'Course, kid. You can stay as long as you like."

Just as soon as you get his permission, you're sitting with your back towards him, his big paws placed gently across your belly. His plump figure makes it easy for you to practically sink into him like a fresh new couch. He hums a contented tune near your ear; your face warms up into a joyful grin.

Barnaby glances at you, "Ey, kiddo." You hum in response. "Y'know, I think Sally got a little bit of some competition; your smile alone could light up this whole neighborhood." You roll your eyes, a slight snicker escaping from your lips. "You're just saying that to make me feel better." He held you closer, shaking his head. Barnaby's large thumb caresses the palm of your right hand, tracing circles around its surface. "Nah, hon. It's all truth. I mean, ya must be some kinda treat, cuz I always catch myself gawking at the sight of you."

Eddie quickly walks to the door of his post office, filled with gratitude for another great hard day's work. As soon as he walks through the door, you rush over to give him a tender embrace. He chuckles, “Hey there, darlin'! Did my babydoll miss me?” With your face buried in his chest, you muffle out a "Mhm." Eddie's face beams, patting your back. "Well, I missed you too, honey." He places three soft kisses on you, one on your forehead, and the other two on either cheek.

Eddie tries to move forward, but you don't budge. Your arms are glued tight to him. "Uh, darlin'...? I– I gotta get unready, y'know? Please let go of me." He chuckles nervously. He tries to sneakily pull your arms away, but you speak before he's given the chance. "You've been gone all day, dear. Can't I hug you a little while longer?" You look up at him. The pleading look in your eyes melts the poor mailman's heart within seconds. "Alright, alright, fine! But just for a few minutes. I'd like to change into less sweaty clothes at some point."

The two of you just relax there for a moment, limbs wrapped delicately around each other. Absent-mindedly, Eddie guides you into somewhat of a slow dance, and your bodies sway back and forth as you and Eddie sink deeper into one and other's touch. After about a minute, he kisses your forehead again, then pulls away. "You satisfied, love?" You smile and nod slowly, "Yes, very."

a 'when i kissed the teacher' spinoff.

summary: you and steve were in a weird situation. you weren't actively trying to get pregnant, but you weren't exactly being safe either. so, how will steve react when he opens his final christmas present?

warnings: dad!steve. mom!reader. fem!reader. afab!reader. 90s!au. mentions and allusions to sex. mentions of pregnancy. pet names. kissing. tons of crying. alena being too young to understand pregnancy (kinda cute tho). alena being a cutie pie as always. some worries over steve's reaction. but mostly fluff and comfort!! author's note: hi everyone!! i am back!! my first semester of uni is finally over, so i can get back to fic writing a little more! i couldn't neglect my happy family like this, so i've tackled a pregnancy fic! i've never been pregnant, but i do wish to be in my life, so all of my research has been for my own benefit and utilised in this fic. if i'm inaccurate in any parts, please let me know for the benefit of the readers and myself!! ♡

It was hard not announcing the news to Steve. Having to attend your first scan without him was heartbreaking, but the look upon the nurse’s face after you told her you were going to wrap up the ultrasound photo, along with a card saying “Merry Christmas Daddy” and a pair of small, cream, woolen socks, just confirmed your decision was the right one.

You and Steve were in a sort of weird situation. You had stopped using protection, but weren’t in a position were you were actively trying to get pregnant. You agreed that any time from now was an okay time for the two of you to have a child, but also weren’t bothered if the pregnancy tests came back negative.

But, a little Christmas miracle decided to form inside of you, the test showing two lines on December 11th, 1999.

Steve and Alena had gone grocery shopping for an hour, the perfect opportunity for you to wrap Steve’s gift.

Rolling out the wrapping paper, you placed a grey, fluffy blanket in the centre, before laying on top the Christmas card which read:

Hi Daddy.

I’m six weeks old today!

I can’t wait to meet you soon! I’m planning to enter the world on August 20th, 2000.

My mom is keeping me very safe right now as I grow, but I’ll still be listening out for you from inside my home.

See you in nine months.

Love, your future child <3

And as you were about to place the ultrasound photo next to the cream baby socks you previous put underneath the card, your eyes started welling with tears once more.

Was it the hormones? Maybe. But, something in you felt this was all natural. You were growing a human life inside of you, one that has half of your DNA and the other half the love of your life’s. That was something to bask in the intense emotion of.

With everything laid out neatly, you reached over for the sellotape, folding over the edges and carefully sticking them in place.

Wrapping the gift in a pretty cream bow, matching the socks inside, and adding a label reading “To my darling Stevie,” you added it to the pile of increasing gifts in the corner of yours and Steve’s bedroom.

Now, just a week to go until he gets his surprise.

You cradle your stomach, despite the size not increasing at all yet, and whisper to your unborn child “A week and he’ll know, my love. Your beautiful existence will be known.”

“Mom! Dad! Wake up! Wake up!”

You are awoken by the sound of your bouncing ten-year-old, aggressively rocking your fiancé as he groans loudly, his eyes adjusting to the light peaking through the window.

“Mornin’ pumpkin,” he murmurs, you opening up one eye as Alena’s full set of brand-new adult teeth smile right at you.

“And what are you doing up so early, missy?” you ask, the clock on the bedside table next to Steve shining a bright 6:00 in the morning, illuminating the room in a red glow.

“Mom” she drags out, rolling her eyes playfully, “You know what day it is!”

You tap your chin lightly, playing along with the joke, “Hmm… I feel as if I may need a reminder.”

“It’s Christmas Mom! And I may or may not have seen all the presents you left underneath the tree…” her vocal pitch increases, looking away in a guilty look as Steve reaches up and pulls her down into his body, the girl screaming as he ruffles her hair.

“Did someone be naughty and peak underneath the tree?” he grits through his teeth, Alena shouting in a reply, “I didn’t mean to, I promise! I saw it on the way to your room!”

You begin to tickle her sides as Steve holds her in place against his chest, making the girl scream in delight loudly, “Is someone now on Santa’s naughty list?”

“Mom…” she pouts her lips, a grumpy expression adorning her face as you sigh sadly, “I know sweet cheeks, you don’t believe in him anymore.”

“I’m sorry…”

You hold out your arms as you wrap her in a warm hug, “Don’t be sorry, baby. I knew you would realise eventually. You’re getting too old!”

She gasps and looks into your eyes, crossing her arms over her chest, “I am not old! You and Dad are old.”

You start giggling in shock as Steve just opens his mouth wide, “You better watch yourself, pumpkin.”

“Yeah,” you hold up a finger in warning, before pointing it over to Steve, “Dad doesn’t like being reminded he’s in his mid-thirties.”

And now it is Steve’s turn to attack you, but instead with aggressive kisses, littering them up your neck and across your face lightly, Alena now old enough to understand the playful love between the two of you. “You’re almost thirty as well, you know.”

“Two more years to go, babe. I’m still in my prime development decade,” you smirk at him.

And it wasn’t just you who was developing.

A loud gasp can be heard along with the shredding of paper as Alena holds up her latest gift, “You actually got me it?”

For such a small gadget, the Barbie Digital Camera cost you $70, the most expensive gift yet, but maybe not the one which will cause the biggest reaction.

“Of course I did! It’s the one thing you kept pointing at in the magazine!”

She giggles with a bright smile, “Thank you! Thank you!”

She launches herself at you, the motherly instinct in you clutching onto your stomach to protect your unborn child, hoping Steve didn’t notice the movement. The surprise would be known in the next half an hour.

“And after you’ve taken your photos, we can connect it to Dad’s computer and see it come to life! How cool is that?”

“Can I take it to school?” she asks, clutching the box in her hands.

“I assume you can! But, just ask Mrs. Critchley before you take it in, okay?”

“Okay!” she smiles, plopping herself back down on the carpet to open the rest of her gifts.

Your hands began to sweat. Alena was all done opening her presents, patiently waiting for you and Steve to unwrap yours.

Steve let you attend to your gifts first. Everything from a brand-new necklace designed with a rose quartz, matching your engagement ring, to the latest Nokia phone, you were thankful for everything he had bought you, praising him with many gentle kisses and warm hugs.

Now, it was Steve’s turn. You specifically told him to leave one present until last, leading him to give you an eyebrow raise and a shrug before simply agreeing, used to your weirdness by now. You got him everything from a new cologne to a new pair of Nike shoes, the soles of his old pair wearing thin from how much he was working over the Christmas holidays.

But, after one final kiss, it was finally time.

“Can I open this now?” Steve jokes, the nerves deeply settling in your stomach. You don’t even know why you were worried, you had stopped using protection in mutual agreement, knowing kids could be a possibility from that result. There was just a voice in your head trying to convince you an awful reaction would occur.

“Uh, yeah… Yeah, you can.”

“Hey,” he puts an arm on your shoulder, “Why are you so nervous?”

You lightly chuckle, “You’ll find out once you open the gift.”

Even after all of these years, Steve still wasn’t the smartest. Verbal cues were not his strong suit, but my God could he read body language like a champ.

He gives you a confused look before unwrapping the cream-coloured bow, delicately tearing apart the paper as his eyes immediately notice the ultrasound scan.

He may be oblivious, but he isn’t that oblivious. He has one very similar in his bedside table drawer of his sweet ten-year-old daughter sat next to him.

The tears form at his eyes before he can even recognise them. Small sniffles enter the atmosphere as his hazel eyes make contact with you, “Are you serious?”

And the tears follow suit for you, nodding frantically as he leans across the floor to collect you in his arms, crying into your shoulder.

“How far along?” he mumbles into your shoulder, tears dripping onto the red fabric of your dress.

“Read the card and you’ll find out.”

Steve was too drawn into the ultrasound scan to even notice the card you had gotten him. Releasing from the hug, he keeps a gentle hand on the small of your back, picking up the card and carefully opening it, reading the words you had written, the tears increasing as he noticed it was from the perspective of his baby.

“Wha— How? When did you get this done?” he stutters out, still in complete shock of the entire moment.

“Pregnancy test has been in the bathroom trash can for two weeks. I was scared you were going to notice it for a while, but then I remembered it’s you, and you don’t notice anything,” you giggle, Steve not even bothered by the joking insult, too caught up in his own emotions, “And two Thursday’s ago, I didn’t go to work. Went to the hospital and got the scan, and just hung around Starcourt until the time I would normally come home.”

“Well, you fooled me,” he chuckles, leaning in for a kiss which you gladly accept, cupping his cheeks as you smile into it.

“I love you so much, beautiful girl. And I love the baby who is growing inside of you. You’re so strong. Your body is so strong. I just— I can’t wait. I can’t wait to meet them.”

His hand had migrated down to your stomach, gently cradling the unborn child inside of you.

Alena had finally looked up from her Etch-a-Sketch, noticing the tears falling down both yours and Steve’s cheeks, your hands holding tightly onto each side of his head as your foreheads were leant against each other, kneeling on the soft carpet of the living room.

“Mom? Dad? Why are you crying?”

Steve turns around to face his daughter, you looking softly into her eyes, “Because Mom is having a baby, sweetie.”

Steve passes her the ultrasound scan, her face scrunching up in confusion as she points at it, “Why is it just a black blob?”

Steve begins laughing as his head falls onto your shoulder, sweetly rubbing up and down the sides of your waist.

“Because when a baby is first made, it starts out as a black blob and then grows into the full size baby we all know and love,” you explain gently to her.

“Hmm…” she takes in, before asking her next question, “But how did it get there?”

Your eyes widen as Steve’s hands stop on your waist, refusing to lift his head and look at his daughter.

You smile through the awkwardness, remembering that her sex education lessons would start in a matter of months, “You’ll find out soon, baby.”

Dead Plate (Part 1)

hello!! its been a while since ive posted but here i am!!! so this game is Dead Plate created by STUDIO INVESTIGRAVE

i had played one of their games before, Elevator Hitch, and i really really enjoyed it! so im very excited for this new game that theyve released

though, this game is probably really different from Elevator Hitch, because that game was a visual novel type of game while this one has restaurant tycoon gameplay

still, im very excited

i hope i can get all the endings today (but probably not) as always, spoilers under the cut!

i know its literally just the title screen BUT it looks very classy

also the music? its a bop like yo BellKalengar is the composer and sound designer and like yo!! amazing job its literally just the title screen and im amazed already LMFAO

alright then lets begin

lolol i like the way they named the buttons for doing the tutorial, skipping the tutorial or just leaving the game on auto progress time to show up at 5 am then

the art is really cute these characters are really cute too esp the protag

i know its just the tutorial but i am very nervous LOL doing service jobs make me nervous (even tho this is only a fictional one)

bro protag why did u skim the interview thing 😭 is that why u've had 28 jobs in 7 years 💀

ooh interesting the cooks have an order in which they cook meals i need to remember that

wow so theres a lot to do huh theres seating the customers, taking their orders, bringing those orders to the kitchen, serving the food, going to the cash register to take their payments, cleaning up the tables AND throwing out the trash its a lot more than i was expecting,,,, lol good luck to me i guess

so like fun fact im actually not that good at playing games LOL esp this kind of game where theres like people and they have like a happy meter kind of thing going on i wonder if any of the endings will be tied to how well we do during the work day ?? probably

also can i just say that the music is really good i like the kinda jazzy (is that the right word??) vibes going on

it makes me less nervous about serving customers since its very chill LOL

im gonna go 'no' since the restaurant has a strict menu that changes daily right? so maybe they wouldnt do to-go boxes or ordering ahead and stuff (RIGHT???)

and this catalogue is how our protag knew about the job for a waiter it also has an interview with our boss (Chef Vincent Charbonneau, i finally know his name) about the low number of employees i was wondering why we were the only waiter in the restaurant and i guess thats why

ok i bought the rollerskates cuz i need to be faster for the customers

oh and u can interact w the telephone to call 'her' but she doesnt pick up oof

09. personal bias aside, who do you think is the best written character and why?

regarding MCD oh katelyn absolutely no question. plot threads and arcs can get a little all over the place but katelyn has a consistent motiv/arc she follows through on s1-2 with her defection and everything, we love you katelyn <333 ugh queen

For mystreet well tbh. uhh. s1-3 zane is the only one who had a solid like. arc (?) about opening up and making friends. (not that he should be opening up to these ppl theyre all assholes to him lmfao) so much happens in mystreet and the quality, ranges. s1-3 was like a sitcom but then s4-6 were so much idk.

22. who's the character that you most identify with and why?

i dont think i identify with any of these guys honestly. theyre all very different from me,. mystreet liochant ig, bc he does nothing <3

OH THERES SOSOSSOSOSOS MUCH goign on mystreet concepts first uhm s4-6 i dont like ghost but her concept is so insane but the fucking execution but like she literally cant remember anything about her life other than the name zane & like love. which she interprets as oh he must be the love of my life or smthin so shes obsessed with him but extremely strongly implied (or outright confirmed id have to rewatch) this is the ghost of emmalyn from mcd and the reason she remembers zane is bc MCD zane literally killed her husband in front of her its so crazy. thinking the reincarnation of the guy who killed your soulmate is your one true love bc you cant remember why you know him AHHHHHHH

s1-3 mystreet im blankin on a lot of it. idk garroth repsect ur brothers boundries more or smthin </3 wish they leaned more into the hilarity of zane being part of the homeowners association. wwe only got the ep where he judges christmas decorations for a competition. ohhh wait they shouldve leaned more into zane being an outcast and why bc theyre kinda like hes a dick ig? even tho like. he reasonable defensive and shit bc the people around him are like. constantly making fun of him. i think he deserves to be a little bit of a dick.

MCD JUST LIKE>> TRAVIS IN GENERAL HIS CONCEPT GOES SO INSANE AND THEN THEY JUSARGHHH like his dad is the demon lord and he grew up solely with his mom and is extremely outcast at the village he protects FROM HIS DAD bc of his parentage and the dude literally spends all his time alone after his mother died he has so much compassion for people who hate him it goes so crazy. and hes so ashmed of his demon side im ahhhh. hes always lurking in ym brain

and dante and gene dante and gene. pov youre orphans and your big brother is doing something terrible so you report him and he winds up being hanged for it and he comes back as an undead monstrosity and kills literally everyone in your hometown ((i realize i have misremebered it was a memory wipe not killing but so many village wipes happen in this series can you blame me)) but you and you are haunted by the guilt you feel. its hard but you end up finding a new place to call home and new people to call family until one day theyre gone and you do your best to help your little struggling village and you perservere until one day 15 years later theyre back and havent aged a day. you thought they were gone.

also just fucking getting to see dante age and get married and become a father while gene is stuck in the same 20 y/o body goes crazy. what happens when you outgrow your big brother

- chapter 5, I figured that I could note my fav moments of this book as well XD

- starting on not the best note, I fucking hate Yang Guang, I hate him so much, I want to rip his guts out,

- chapter 8, the fight was so epic!! I love how MC just kinda forgor about the whole dying thing and went with the flow

- and that she killed that motherfucker! I didn't have to tolerate him for too long >:D

- it's honestly quite funny that Qin Zheng was killed by pox (I hope I'm getting the name of the illness right lol, I'm reading this in Polish translation and have 0 knowledge about any medical terminology in English)

- just a note but it's harder for me to keep up with those notes for Iron Widow than for Qian Qiu. I think it's because 1. its pace is faster 2. its chapters are shorter. so anyway

- chapter 10, Wu Zetian just needs to scream 24/7 and I respect it so much

- chapter 12, idk, Li Shimin is kinda cute

- I also like strategist Zhuge but that may be just because he has a fan

- chapter 13, those qi power statistic are so untrustworthy lol. I wouldn't be so happy to have so much higher qi stats than the average if the margin of error is like 17k

- chapter 14, damn, I miss Yizhi...

- chapter 19, oh my god, Yizhi is back!! T^T

- I absolutely love all the tiny historical details in this story. I'm probably missing a lot but those which I can catch are amazing (and satisfying, good to know that I know something about Chinese history after all that learning)

- chapter 20, OMG YIZHI IS BI?? IS THIS FINALLY SOME GOOD BI REP??

- ZETIAN IS ALSO BI?? AM I IN HEAVEN? WHAT'S GOING ON??

- omg Gao Yizhi grabbing Li Shimin's leash is one of the things I need to draw, damn, it paints such a clear picture in my mind

- chapter 21, Sima Yi is just a hater by nature and I start to enjoy it,

- chapter 23, Yizhi screaming "you can't shoot me I'm rich!!!" I love this boy

- chapter 29, god, Yizhi, Shimin and Zetian are sooo cute

- also "one traumatized Xing Tian", that made me laugh out loud

- "usually adding qi of a third person only strengthened the dissonance (...) no one knows why we succeeded" yeah I wonder why, hmmmmmm

- chapter 30, MY BABYGIRL LI SHIMIN GOT CALLED AN ALPHA MALE I'M DYINGGG

- I kinda like Gao Qiu. I know he's probably bad news but damn, he's fun

do you think Ominis would remarry if Isabel died, and vice versa? If Isabel is cursed the same curse as Anne, do you think Ominis would be like Sebastian when finding a cure? If we follow the same timeline as HP, then Marvolo would have Merope and Morfin, so do you think Ominis would have any involvement with that entire mess? If so, where does Isabel and their children fall into that situation? Tysm 😃

OOH, so many questions, thank you!

1: oh noooo this is so sad 😭 well they’re both super super old and still alive together bc I say so lmao but hmm, I think Isabel might remarry? No idea who she would marry, tho. I kinda don’t feel like thinking about it, I’ve never been the type who could write my faves going through that level of angst lol. I can’t see Ominis recovering from that tho. He’s not quite as resilient as Isabel.

2: this is a super interesting question! A part of me thinks Ominis would be like Sebastian, tbh. Like, it’s one thing to be on the other side fearing for the wellbeing of your friends, but quite another to actually be in Sebastian’s place. I could see Ominis’ spiral being more gradual, idk if it would end quite like Sebastian, but I kinda love the idea of an alternate timeline in which Ominis goes down that path for the love of his life. It would take way more to scare Isabel and Sebastian than it would Anne, Solomon and Ominis, so Ominis could go unchecked much longer than Sebby lol. Perhaps if the Gaunts cursed Isabel, Ominis would be the one to exterminate all of them except Marvolo and whoever his spouse was for whatever reason… DAMN that would be an excellent story, I’ve been looking for an excuse to write Dark!Ominis, that would be super fun. Ok I’m adding it to my drafts after I finish answering this lmao. No guarantees when it will be done, but it will be there for me to chip away at. Thank you, anon, for your inspiration >:)

3: in my HCs, Ominis has totally cut off his family, having zero contact except for the times when the Gaunts find him and Isabel. I like to think Ominis doesn’t even know Merope and Morfin exist until that whole mess is reported in the papers in the 1920s. There is one small exception, tho, in that when his and Isabel’s kids are old enough to go to Hogwarts, Isabel takes her kids aside and says “if you ever come across anyone with the last name of Gaunt, kick their asses for mommy—just don’t tell your father” 😂

That’s something I started writing a few months ago, actually—I ended up scrapping it because it went nowhere and just rambled, but I like to imagine Ominis had thus far been living a peaceful, happy life with his new family and not being too bothered by the fact that the rest of the Gaunts stopped harassing him and his family as they slowly killed each other off, then he reads the Prophet article about them in the 1920s and it’s like he’s right back to being a teenager again, reminded of everything his old family did to him as all the trauma rushes back and he grieves for the fact that they never even gave him the opportunity to reconcile with them.

If you’ve ever seen that famous Bojack Horseman episode with the funeral, there’s one part where Bojack talks about what losing a parent is like (here, from 0:52 onward). That’s kinda what I’m going for with Ominis learning all the other Gaunts are dead: his relationship with them was never good, but he didn’t even realize he had been holding onto that hope of things getting better until they were long dead. Ominis still knows his real family is with Isabel and their now-grown children and possibly grandchildren, but he is still devastated.

I think this is really at the crux of why Ominis is my favorite. I’ve experienced this irl, and it’s why I have such a hard time doing things like imagining the scenarios in the first question; I like being able to go through this alongside a fictional character like Ominis, but I also need him to be happy in other parts of his life because I do too. Sort of wish fulfillment I guess, it’s sometimes difficult to describe lol

i have to ask, whats your opinion on the champions’ avatars & abilities?

(personally i like them a lot less than in botw and the avatars are straight up annoying, i always activate them on accident while trying to catch a bug or something so i just disable them altogether)

so far i only have tulin and riju's avatars (i keep putting off going to the other two races. sorry everyone, there are pics in need of snapping!)

i use tulin's tornado (not sure if it has an official name other than "vow of tulin", so i'm using the name tulin came up with in AOC) all the time to speed up my paragliding, so it's useful. i just wish it had more power to it, or lasted just a bit longer. when i gathered four wills of sages i expected them to upgrade this ability, but instead it made his headshots deal more damage. which i guess... is useful as well. his shots are SUPER effective. thank you tulin, very cool

(speaking of the sages' wills... why are they just scattered in random places throughout the sky islands? simply being kept in chests in the most unnassuming of places? there should've been some kind of trials at least... but with how boring most of the puzzles in this game have been, maybe not)

it's been a while since i've played botw (tho i have been replaying it bit by bit as of recent), let alone used the champions' abilities. but i do remember using revali's gale as often as i do tulin's tornado. i definitely miss it at times. while there are many creative ways to get yourself to a higher level (first being link's new ability, ascend; then using the ancient zonai devices; being sent into the sky by the skyview towers and gliding yourself towards your destination; or something as simple as starting a fire and throwing in a pine cone to create a bootleg revali's gale), there are times in which revali's gale would've been much quicker and effective

i think riju's power (hmm what should it be called... riju's rage?) is on par with urbosa's fury, but still not quite on her level. the field of lightning in urbosa's fury deals damage to everyone within that circle, while riju's only deals damage wherever you choose to shoot an arrow. it can also be kinda annoying waiting for the field of lightning to reach the monsters i want to zap, especially since riju LOVES to run the other way most of the time, but other than that it's great. i haven't upgraded it yet, so i hope it gets more powerful with the sages' wills, and not her scimitar attacks dealing more damage...

my main issue that i believe will become even worse as more sages join our team, is the fact that you activate their abilities with the A button, the action button, the one used to examine something, or pick up something, or talk to someone, etc... everytime i want to pick up materials left by monsters, tulin, that little shit, blows it all away down a cliff! compare that to the champions' powers, which each have their own buttons (except for mipha's grace): daruk's protection activates by holding down ZL, the button also used to focus/pull out your shield; urbosa's fury - by holding down Y, which is the attack button; and revali's gale - holding down the X button, also used for jumping. very thoughtful placements as you can see!

last thing. about the avatars... i understand that the sages are too busy to follow link themselves, especially riju, what with ber being a chief with so many responsibilities, which is why they've created these avatars to replace them. but i just wish they were a bit more emotive... idk. this isn't that serious lol but it would've been fun for them to act a little more real i guess, more like companions. i still love these soulless versions of my friends though <3

I wanted to ask what’s your favorite arc in the OG Naruto & Shippuden if you had to pick one from each series? Also do you have any other manga/anime that you enjoy? Either from back then or any of the new modern ones? Also do enjoy other kinds of media like Western comics (Marvel, DC, Indie) or have a certain genre of traditional literature?

One final thing is I’m glad to see more NaruSakura love on social and how more and more people see the blatant “discrepancies” in the writing.

Hmm, hard to choose because I love most arcs from OG - Zabuza & Haku, FOD, Tsunade Retrieval Arc & Sasuke Retrieval one are absolute beasts. Or Neji's talk about destiny in Chuunin exams? Or the Chuunin exams alltogether?

I don't know, OG was reaaaaaaaaaally wonderful.

In Shippuden tho? For me it's 3 that I adore - Sasori arc, Pein arc & Kushina one. The others are so and so for me.

As for other mangas/anime yeah I do - Sailor Moon (I grew up with it), FMA, Death Note to name a few.

I haven't read much of the modern ones tbh. After Naruto ended and I saw how the industry is becoming I said pass. Though from what I'm hearing Black Clover & MHA seem promising and tbh I'm curious about those.

Oh wait I also need to catch-up to Vinland. LOVE that one. I like AOT as well but for me the ending fell short tbh.

As for Western side I loved X-Men the animated series (I literally ADORE Storm), Batman, Superman, Thor (I have a thing for characters with lighting/weather control as you can see haha)...

Indie tbh I haven't read any until now.

As for genre/ I lean towards the fantasy/fantasy-sci-fi mix/underdog type of stories.

For example Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite stories.

But yeah, this is kinda it what I can name from the top of my head.

As for NaruSaku, well, I'm just glad there are still people out there who love them. The other things are just bonuses tbh.

It was clear as daylight that they did a 180 and changed the direction of the story.

But alas, it is what it is. Our love for them (or at least in my case), isn't dependent on some face-value canon validation.

Had NS had the writing SS or NH had, I wouldn't have wanted it either. I'm picky about my ships and the development they receive.

They gotta be solid or else I don't want it.

I wanted to answer but since my brain gets stressed by tag games, I decided to turn it into a new post. If I'm tagged in the future, this will be my solution. I will not tag anyone. xD

I'm named after a famous swimmer that was at the peak of her career at the time.

2. When was the last time you cried

A few days ago. :D

3. Do you have kids?

Only my furbaby (dog) <3

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Not really, only on certain occasions and if it fits the tone!

5. What sports do you play/have you played?

Horse riding, golf and bowling are some that I practiced when I was a kid! Absolutely loved horse riding! But it was ponies. Pony riding.

Nowadays I don't do any sports. It's a struggle to even get to the gym. ;(

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people?

Their face. The eyes are the windows to the soul and all. But don't stare at me too intently I will get stressed

7. Scary movies or happy endings?

This is a difficult one. It depends on my mood. Like I've never been able to watch scary movies (I get nightmares and an intense fear at night). But I really enjoy the concepts and creativity behind them. It's only alien/monster movies tho (surprising no one). I'm not much for the ones with demons and ghosts etc. But a good scary monster? Awh yeh.

Buuuuut I also love/need a good ending. In scary movies, those are rare. Ultimately I'll have to settle on happy ending. ;(

8. Any special talents?

I am able to move my scalp back and forth (handsfree!). It gets some fun reactions from people. xD

9. Where were you born?

Somewhere in Europe.

10. What are your hobbies?

Drawing, watching youtube videos. Making new ocs. xD

Only my dog. A small, fuzzy mutt. He'll turn 12 this year.

You can hear different types of voices around you. Most of them being super loud making you want to cover your ears. You are here in the hellhole aka new school. You had to switch school because your father had a transfer . You were a typical rebel kid. Rebeling for your independence . You always felt like your parents were controlling you so you decided to stand up for yourselves. even tho your parents weren't really fond of that attitude of yours they did kinda understand you? That's why you weren't that bad. It's not like you always disobeyed them or talked back- you only did that when needed. Back again to the hellhole . You hated the idea of transferring. You were already settled and comfortable in your previous school with your friends. But you had to do it while keeping a rock at your heart </3. You were finding your way through the hallways to reach the office. You found it after a few minutes of confusion. You stopped after listening to the person talking inside- more like lecturing someone. You knocked to get the permission to get in. A faint 'come in' could be heard. You entered and closed the door behind you. You bowed and said "good morning I'm the new student - yn" the principal nodded at you and smiled while saying "welcome to our school yn" he tries to fish out your schedule then you notice a guy your age with smooth black hair looking at you.

You bowed to him akwardly .He smiled at you and nodded as a way to say 'hello to you too'. The principal handed you your schedule and said "hope you like our school and everything here" then turned to the guy and said while glaring at him "jungwon I hope I don't find you here anytime soon. This should be your last time here alright? And how about you show our new student around hmm?". The guy named jungwon nodded and turned towards you. Now that he is standing you can see his full appearance . He is tall - well taller than you with smooth black hair , small and cute nose , pinkish lips , stern eyes . His uniform doesn't look like a uniform. Well because it isn't. And even though his appearance is kinda intimidating you find him cute. He doesn't even acknowledge the principal anymore and leaves straight away. You bow and follow behind him. "So where are you taking me jungwon?" You asked first so the situation isn't akward. He took your schedule out of your hands and looked at it and them nodded his head to himself like he now knew what to do or where to go. "well your class is that way and I'm taking you there. You're in my class" he informed. You let out a small 'ahh alright'. "so why are you here?" He inquired. "Well my father had a transfer so I and to switch schools amd this looked like the best option" you explained. "Can I ask what happened back there?" You asked back. "Well I bunked classes and had a fight with someone. And well that wasn't my first time going to the principal's office nor it will be my last." He said ever so casually. You widen your eyes and ask "how do you say it so casually?" you were shocked even tho you did rebel you never had a physical fight. "Well as I said it wasn't my first time" he shrugged. "Well whatever" you replied. He looked at you after you said that and stopped on his tracks. You stopped too after noticing him stop and ask with furrowed brows "Why'd you stop?" "You don't find me intimidating or bad?" He asked back. "Well you did seem a bit intimidating at start but now you don't. And about you being bad- no. It's been onlya few minutes since I met you and hearing you speak about it so casually makes me feel like it wasn't your fault. And who am I to judge even if it was?" you explained your part while shrugging and continued to walk. Jungwon smiled behind you and followed suit. He was jumping from inside but kept a stern face when he came near you. You didn't judge him like everyone and even understood him even though you have just met. It made him feel some way he hasn't before but he kinda knew what it was. He wasn't dumb he knew he was starting to have a crush on you and your pretty face wasn't helping at all. It oy made his heart beat faster.

Days passed and you guys became besties. You got to know about his 'bad boy' reputation but you were still the same with him. The one who doesn't judge him or feel like he's at fault everytime. You were his safe place. His crush on you only became bigger. He was soft with you . He told everyone in the school behind your back that you were his. Childish . It was childish he knew. But he can't help but feel jealous whenever some other guy came to talk to you. Everyone knew just how beautiful you were and it wasn't long before you started gaining some admirers. But you only had heart eyes for one man. He didn't know it but you were too scared to confess. At a fine and peaceful day of school you and Jungwon were having lunch at the cafeteria when a girl came towards you and handed you a letter saying that ' a guy gave it to me and told me to hand you this' and then went away. You were confused to why you got the letter . You opened the letter and read it out aloud ...

Everyone feared him and he told everyone about you being taken by him. He isn't going to let the guy go. He looked at you and told you to meet the guy. You weren't sure but decided to alteast go since he made an effort. After a long time when your class was over you went to the rooftop to meet your secret admirer. When you reached the top you were met with the back of a guy. You tapped on his shoulders and when he turned around you gasped. It was haruto . One of your classmates. He beamed at you and said "yn you came". "So it's really you" you asked. "Yes it's me , I really really like you . I have since a long time just didn't had the balls to confess." he confirmed. "But now I do so will you be my girlfriend yn?" He asked hopefully. Just when you were about to reply you heard the door slam open and came in a raging jungwon. He marched towards you guys and pulled you behind him and gave haruto a death glare. He then inched closer to him and held his collar while saying "how dare you? the guts you have to ask MY girl out? Looks like I didn't make myself clear" he punched him hard after that. "Did you not get it?" He said while punching him again. Before he does any more damage you held hum back while shouting "leave him won , leave him! " you tried your best to hold him back. He tried to wiggle out of your grip so it was really hard to hold him back."let me go yn , let me make myself clear" haruto stands up wiping the blood that came from his lips caused by Jungwon's punch. "Chill dude it wasn't my intention" he said while looking at jungwon. "What do you mean by that" asked jungwon . "Well yn can tell you that , it's my cue to leave" he left after saying that leaving you guys alone on the chilly rooftop. "Explain" he said while looking at you sternly. For an April fool's game, they have no right to make this good...but they still did it.

IT'S SOOOO UNBELIEVABLY GOOD LIKE HOLY HECK?!

Where do I start? Okay, history-ish lesson time.

This is not the first time that Sonic's PR team make a game specifically for an april fool's joke. During Aaron's era, there was an infamous website game titled 'Big's Big Adventure 3'. And as the name suggests, it tells a story of how Big showed up in random places like you might/might not see him as a cameo during the SA2 event.

Same format as TMoSTH, a visual novel style game with uh....flappy bird-inspired game, and of course the fishing segment as sub content.

And that's it. I like the story not gonna lie. I enjoy playing it. Full of meme content. But the existence of the game itself was huge in 2016. It may not be the best thing to re-live it in this era in my opinion.

I bet the website is down now but you can still watch some playthroughs from youtube though.

And after seven years, the new Sonic PR team create a game for another april fool's joke. But this time....I don't think this is not full of memes to be laughing by the community. It's...unexpectedly something else.

Sure the highlight of the trailer first and foremost: "Sonic is dead" was a real deal. It was all over the internet even though you were not active on sonic at that time.

I personally didn't watch the trailer yet I knew that highlight. So I play it blindly without any knowledge of what the hell happened before this existed.

But as I open the game, I was shocked. It starts with deep and slow music like typical mystery games you played, great art designs, and a nice choice of colors that encapsulated the title itself. Simple, yet the qualities that represent are almost like it was not made for such a free game, even as a joke for that day.

I have yet to start the game but it left me with such an impression.

I love everything about this game. They nailed every. single. one! Even with each traits that were being misrepresented by fandom, somehow corrected to their very core! What is this? What in the world am living right now??

And this is one of the stories that I want to read in fan fiction. Just a group comes together creating unexpected events or just doing their normal life. Whether Eggman got in the way or not is up to you. It has silly and quirky moments freely.

The jokes landed perfectly without making them OOC. In fact, I got a bunch of new headcanon from that game. It has so many memorable scenes that you might already see most of them on the internet.

For the protagonist, yes I can confidently say I related to Barry that much. Even at some point, I felt I was inside the train surrounded by these extravagant abnormal people. I truly thought every response that Barry had was exactly like mine if I was in that scenario. (looking at you Tails)

For a mystery game, I kinda think how they summarize the whole case cooouuld have been better. The sub-ones did a great job to wrapped up the messes. I don't hate the whole problem tho. I actually adore it. Hmm, I might need to replay it again soon and see if it could change my mind about it.

Mini-games! It might be my personal bias so apologize for my taste. If I want to, they should add an additional setting to adjust Sonic's position. I struggled A LOT during mini-games. God why Tails had to toss every thinking section to me, please stop T_T.

For Music... wow I didn't prepare how well thought out this music has. The ost of this game is uniquely true to its theme and It still stuck in my head for days. The theme song and the interrogation section are my favorites. Some mini-game section is also catchy and upbeat!

Artstyle! Oh I loooove the design throughout the game. Each character got well design clothes that are creative and also stay true to their character with a bonus to the lore of the story! Deegeemin has my list as one of fav sonic artists.

Final Thoughts: Dall-E Mini is fun enough, but I’m not really impressed. It feels exactly the same as that other image AI from several months ago that I’ve completely forgotten the name of lol. The only improvement over that one is Dall-E generates 9 images instead of 1.

Looking at other people’s results, I’d probably be more impressed if I liked more popular things, lmao.

Dall-E 2 looks impressive, and when that becomes publicly mess-around-able I’ll probably mess around with it. But I’m not holding my breath for it to be able to generate anything I actually want without having to write a novella in the prompt bar. :P

All that said, most of these I made tonight did manage to make at least one image each that I’d kinda like to take into Clip Studio and turn into a finished artwork... Hmm.
