The Sharp Knife of a Short Life
Warnings: Fluff, parental crap, fluff, love,  scary situations, canon level violence, TW: Major Character Death
Summary: Y/N finds love with a young man who is new in town. Will their love last forever like she hopes, or will it end before it’s really begun?
Pairing: Lee Webb x Reader
Word Count: 4025
Written for: @amanda-teaches Amanda’s 2K Writer & Reader Challenge (“I can’t explain right now, but I need you to trust me.”), @alleiradayne‘s Summer Shut In Challenge (“Can you please come get me?”), and @katymacsupernatural Katy’s Make Me Feel Challenge (”That’s...a lot of blood.”. Writing has been such a struggle that I combined them all!
Beta’d by: @crashdevlin and @dean-winchesters-bacon. Thank you both so much for taking a look and being so supportive of a new character. Also to @dolphincliffs for continually supporting (and feeding) my Christian Kane fix.
A/N: We all know the orgin stories of our favorite, and not so favorite characters. But when a new character is introduced in the way Lee Webb was, there is so much to learn. He is a blank slate, except for his ending. We really don’t know what is and what not is OOC for him, so this is going to be so fun. I was inspired to write this after listening to The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young”. I’ve always thought this would be a great intro for a hunter, and I finally found it.  I hope you enjoy the journey!
P.S. I am using my forevers and my Dean list, since he does make an appearance. Please let me know if you prefer not to be tagged, should there be future Leo installments. Thank you.

Circa 2001 - Somewhere in Oklahoma
“Mama, he’s a good man,” Y/N sighed loudly as she set the table for supper.
“He’s a drifter, Y/N. He’s only been in town a short time. And working at that place!” her mother, Ruth, spat.
“Not everyone gets a good family upbringin’. He’s had a hard life and is trying to make it better. And it’s a bar, Mama, not the Devil’s playground.” Y/N protested, slamming the last fork down harder than she intended.
“That’s exactly what it is! Nothing good ever happened in that place and you’re not going there!” It had been a long time since she had heard her mother raise her voice.
“Mother, I am twenty years old. I am not a child. Lee is a good man and I’ve been seeing him for more than three months. He’s coming to supper and you’ll be the gracious hostess we all know you are. Please reserve judgement until you’ve met him. Isn’t that what Jesus would do?” Y/N smiled sweetly, knowing how her religious mother always followed the Golden Rule.
“Of course I will, Y/N. I’m not a heathen!”
“Supper was delicious, Miss Ruth. Thank you so much for having me. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a meal this good,” Lee smiled at her as he stood to clear the dishes.
“Well, I’m pleased you liked it. I’ve got plenty left over. Would you like me to pack you some to take home?” Ruth blushed at the compliment from her daughter's boyfriend as she searched for a container for his leftovers.
“That would be wonderful, thank you ma’am. Now, you ladies go enjoy your tea, I’ll clean up here,” Lee shuttled the remaining dishes from the table to the sink.
“Nonsense! Guests don’t do my dishes,” Ruth swatted him away with her towel.
“Then let me dry, please. It’s the least I can do after such a meal. I haven’t eaten that well in, forever I think,” Lee offered.
“Mama, let him help.” Y/N’s  voice carried through from the dining room as she carried the platter of fried chicken to the kitchen.
~*~
“He’s a good man, Y/N. I can see he cares deeply for you,” her mother told Y/N quietly that night after Lee had gone. They sat on the back porch, sipping chamomile tea, as the sun set.
“He loves me, Mama. And I think I love him, too.” She smiled ear to ear. “You changed your tune pretty quick, though.”
“He told me a little about his life, ya know. How his daddy left and his mama got sick. That’s no way for a child to live. But he’s making something for himself, and for you one day,” she commented. “He looks at you the way your daddy used to look at me.”
“Yes he is, but please don’t go putting a ring on my finger. I’ve barely started living. I won’t always be working at the library, content to stay in this town,” Y/N stated.
“I know, baby girl. There’s big things waiting for you out there. But leave room for him, too.”
“Mama, three hours ago you didn’t even like the man, now you want us to run away together and get married?” Y/N laughed.
“No, baby. I want you to get married, then run away and live your lives. I don’t want you stuck here like I was after your daddy passed. It’s no life for a young woman so vibrant and with so much to give the world,” Mama sniffed slightly, running the crumpled tissue in her hand underneath her nose. She rose and kissed the top of her head. “Goodnight, girl. Don’t stay up too late.”
A pack of coyotes howled in the distance as Y/N thought about what her mama had said. “Goodnight, Mama.”
~*~
“Lee, what are we doing all the way out here? Why did you bring me out here? It’s dark and creepy,” Y/N muttered as Lee led her away from his truck, the path dark and obscured by shadows from the ancient pines towering above them.
“I have a surprise for you, darlin’,” Lee smiled, his dimples carved deep into his cheeks. “Ta da!”
“What is this?” Y/N gasped seeing a crippled cabin in front of them. The porch steps sagging from years of rot, the roof following suit.
“It’s ours...well, mine. I bought it from Ed for just the deed transfer fees. It’s going to be incredible,” Lee beamed at the compromised structure, then turned back to Y/N, his smile falling as he did. “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“Is it safe?” Y/N asked hesitantly, brows furrowed.
“Not yet. It needs some work, but I’m gonna fix ‘er up real good. It’ll be a good home for us, darlin’.”
They sat on the hood of his truck and Y/N listened as he told her his plans for the small two bedroom cabin, his thumb brushing over the knuckles of her hand folded in his. Y/N was content to stay tucked under his arm, his body fending off the chill of the night. Time passed as they talked about their future, laid out under the slivers of moonlight. “I love you, Lee.”
“I’ll love you forever, Y/N.”
It wasn’t until the night air became too cool that they decided to head back into town. “Let’s get you home, darlin’.” As Lee opened the passenger side of his truck, the sound of breaking glass came from the direction of the small cabin. He pushed Y/N inside the cab and shut the door. “Get behind the wheel, if I’m not back in five minutes, leave! Call the sheriff.”
“Lee, let’s just go!” Y/N shouted through the open window as he grabbed a two by four from the bed of his truck. He turned and winked at her, then kept walking, right around the side of the cabin. Four minutes.
The night was too dark to see anything solid, the slivers of moonlight playing tricks on her eyes as she scanned the small clearing. Three minutes.
Y/N slid across the bench seat and started the old beast, her engine rumbling to life. Two minutes.
She heard nothing as she continued to search for Lee, her eyes darting back and forth, the headlights of the truck brightening the clearing. One minute.
“Damn, baby, you smell so sweet!” A man jumped through the passenger window, breathing deeply through his nose. And then he smiled at Y/N. Only there were far too many teeth and they were all wrong.
A scream ripped from her body as he grabbed her arm, pulling it towards him as he tried to shimmy further into the truck. He suddenly lurched backwards and Y/N heard a sickening crack as wood connected with his skull. Lee rushed around the side of the truck and wrenched open the door. Y/N scooched over to give him enough room to get behind the wheel.
“What the H-E-double hockey sticks was that?” Y/N cried, noticing the tears on her face for the first time.
Lee threw the truck in reverse and gunned it back down the dirt road to the main highway. “I don’t know, baby. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, yeah, I think so.”
“Something is going in this town. That man, and others have been squatting in our cabin from the looks of things. I’m calling the sheriff as soon as I get you home. He’ll figure it out. Maybe they have something to do with the two missing people,” Lee pondered as he slowed down as the highway came into his rearview mirror. He straightened the truck out and put her in drive, heading back towards town.
“Who’s missing? Why didn’t you tell me?” Y/N asked.
“Coupla regulars down at the bar. I reported it to the sheriff. Not really the type of guys that people miss, but they hadn’t been in for a few nights and that’s not normal. Sheriff confirmed today, they just up and gone, or so he said,” Lee shrugged.
Lee drove the last few miles into town silent with his hand clutching Y/N’s. He pulled into her driveway and cut the engine before getting out to open her door. Always the gentleman, Lee walked Y/N to the door, but this time he came inside. “What’re you doing, mister? My mama’s upstairs!”
“Just checking that all the doors and windows are locked. Gotta make sure my girl is safe,” he winked at her before he went up to the second floor. He returned moments later. “All set upstairs.”
When he was satisfied with his inspection of the first floor, he came to a stop in front of Y/N. She was leaning against the counter, a cup of tea next to her. She pulled him tight to her, fingers trembling as she grabbed his shirt. “Don’t go.”
“I won’t. I’m here.” He pressed his lips to the side of her head, holding her gently, as if he was afraid she’d break.
~*~
The library was empty the next day as Y/N settled behind the counter, her third cup of coffee in hand. She didn’t want to work today, but since Miss Birdie was out of town visiting her grandchildren there was no one else to open the library. It’s a library, so it is usually quiet, but it was too quiet. Even the online courses couldn’t drown out the quiet today as she followed along and took notes.
Y/N was lost in the online lecture until the bell above the door dinged, reminding her she was still at work. A tall young man, dressed in a leather jacket walked through, smiling at her as he passed the desk. He headed to the back, where the periodicals are kept. Y/N returned to her laptop, but now unable to concentrate on anything for longer than a few minutes, her mind occupied with Lee, their “future” and the events of the last few days. She sighed and gathered the stack of books next to her, adding them to the cart for restocking.
It took less of her time than she hoped to return the books to their rightful place on the shelf. Y/N went back to the desk and closed her laptop, stowing it in her bag, when she heard a voice from the back.
“Dad, I’m telling you, there’s nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch!” The young man was on his phone, waving his free arm in annoyance. “Yeah, okay. Bye.”
Y/N looked at the clock, noticing the time. “Sir, we’re closing in a few minutes.”
He was walking towards her, a confident swagger in his step. He winked at Y/N as he passed. “Thanks, Sweetheart.”
She flipped the lights off and followed the young man out the door, locking the doors behind them. Y/N took a deep breath of fresh air and hooked her bag across her body, starting the walk home. It was just past five in the evening and the weather was perfect, not too hot yet, but warmer than it had been. She smiled, making her way down the street. She wanted to rush home and get supper ready to bring to Lee down at the bar.
He was working so hard, for them, for their future, and he deserved home cooking more than he got it. Y/N swung left through the small forest in the middle of town. It would easily cut ten minutes off her walk and that was more time to cook for her boyfriend. Lee was indeed her boyfriend, and hopefully, with the way he talked, her future husband. Y/N smiled at that. Husband.
~*~
Y/N had said she would bring him supper even after he told her she didn’t need to. She just said he needed to eat proper and if he was being honest, he liked it. He was in love with that girl. Lee wanted to make her his wife, provide a future for her, for a family. He wanted to make her happy, even if that was letting her bring him supper at work, for now. He was such a goner. And for the first time in his life, he was okay with that.
The bar wasn’t busy being a weeknight and all, but it was still early, only a hair past nine. A few regulars at the bar, a couple new faces playing pool, and a handful taking up tables. Y/N should have been there by now, or at least called. Lee started to worry. He should call her and check in. He should have told her to stay home, with everything that was going on. He cursed himself as he reached for his phone. It started vibrating in my pocket. Y/N’s picture lit up the screen and he breathed a sigh of relief.
“Baby? Are you alright? I was so worried!” Lee blurted out.
“Can you please come get me?” Y/N sniffed and she sounded small, almost fragile.
“Where are you?” He asked, signaling Ed he needed to leave.
“I think I’m at the cabin. I don’t know. Someone grabbed me on my way home from work, and now it’s dark. I don’t know, Lee,” she was crying so hard, he could barely understand her.
“The cabin? I’m on my way, baby. Hold tight!” Lee was already in his truck before the call disconnected. The cabin was only about ten minutes outside of town, but he wasn’t obeying traffic laws that night. Lee needed to get to her and now.
The waning moon barely broke through the cover of the trees overhead as he eased his truck down the narrow drive. There were no other vehicles in sight, so if someone had brought her here, they had done it on foot, or left already. Either way, it didn’t sit right. What did someone want with her? Sure, Lee hadn’t always been a law abiding citizen, but he had done his time, made his peace with God, and changed his ways. Y/N made Lee Webb a better man. He wanted to be a better man for her.
He killed the engine and slowly opened the door, trying to be quiet. Lee searched the bed of his truck, looking for a weapon of any kind, and all he could find was a length of rusty pipe. It would have to do. He slid around the back of the cabin, searching for any sign of movement or sound, but it was quiet. Almost too quiet. He crept up the back steps and the door was ajar. Someone had been there recently. Lee pushed it open and walked inside. Something fast moved in front of him and before he knew what hit him, he was flat on his back, the air knocked out of his lungs, his weapon rolling across the sagging floor.
“I knew you’d come for me!” Y/N cried out, straddling Lee.
“Y/N? Baby, what happened? How did you get here? Are you okay?” The questions flew from his mouth faster than he could process the lewd smile on her face.
“I don’t know! One minute I was walking home from the library, taking the shortcut through the woods, when a man grabbed me. I think he knocked me out, or I passed out, I don’t know. But when I woke up, I was here. Alone. I don’t know what happened or where they went, but I knew you would come for me,” Y/N recounted the events since she left work rapidly.
“Of course I came. You’re my girl and I’m going to protect you and take care of you. I’m so sorry I wasn’t there, but I’m here now, baby. I’ve got you,” Lee cooed softly, holding her tight to him, just relishing in her safety for the moment.
“I was so scared,” Y/N sniffed, her face buried in the crook of his neck.
“Shhhh, I’ve got you now. It’s okay,” he soothed before pulling back and inspecting her carefully. Y/N looked okay, a little disheveled, but she didn’t appear to have any injuries that he could see immediately. “What else do you remember? Anyone come into work today?”
Y/N shook her head. “A few families came in for story time, Billy and his girlfriend, Jenna, to study for a couple hours.” Then she remembered. “There was a man, a man I didn’t recognize. He was tall, wearing a dark jacket, maybe gray. He had um, spiky, light brown hair, and was wearing a necklace, with a weird looking pendant on it.”
“I saw that guy tonight. At the bar. He was with another man, an older guy. Thought they were just a father and son, having a beer and playing some pool. Son of a bitch!” Lee growled, knowing exactly the man she was talking about. “I’m calling the Sheriff.”
“No, baby, don’t. We can do that later. Just hold me,” Y/N begged, putting her face back into his neck.
He was angry and scared that someone took her, but his instincts to hold her won. Her body was warm against him and he let his thoughts linger over what she would feel like laid out beneath him. They hadn’t gone far in that department, as much as he wanted to. He loved her enough to respect her wishes and she wanted to wait until they were married. Lee thought it was sweet, and he did love her. He had been with many women who were quick to please, but none of them could hold a candle to the woman he held in his arms.
He felt her shift above him, slowly grinding her hips into his as she licked and sucked along his neck. Lee attempted to stop her. “Y/N, baby. This isn’t what you want. You’re scared and you need me to tell you you’re okay. I’m going to do that, but not like this, okay? I told you I’d wait for you and I will.”
“I don’t care anymore about some stupid promise. I want you now,” Y/N bucked into him harder, and he responded in kind, despite how strong he thought he could be.
“No, not like this. If we do this before we get married, we’ll do it proper, not on the floor of a dirty, run-down cabin,” Lee gasped, pulling back, but she didn’t loosen her grip on him.
“No!” Y/N screamed, biting down hard into the meat of his neck.
“Jesus Christ, Y/N! What the hell was that?” Lee screamed, pushing her back and jumping off the floor.
“I’m the new and improved Y/N. If you won’t fuck me, maybe one of these men will,” Y/N smiled wickedly, Lee’s blood dripping from her lips, and that’s when Lee noticed they weren’t alone. Two men slinked from the shadows and stared him down.
Lee looked around the room, gauging the distance to each of the two exits, when he spotted a body by the front door, slumped over. And another near the hall. “What is going on here, Y/N?”
“Oh, we gave your girl here a makeover. Stronger, faster, better. We’re immortal and we’re going to live a long, bloody life with her by our side. Eat up, baby girl,” one of the men said, grinning as he took in the look on her face. She was hungry and he knew the feeling too well.
“Come here, baby. I want a taste. It’s your choice. I change you and we live happily ever after. Or, I bleed you dry and my new friends here will be my first, and second. What’s it going to be, baby?” Y/N laughed maniacally as she advanced on Lee. “You want a real taste of this tight little body? Make me cum over and over for eternity?”
“No, this isn’t you, Y/N!” Lee shouted, rounding the small table, trying to put a little distance between them.
The front door blew open, wood flying through the small cabin. The two men from the bar entered, blades raised.
“No, it isn’t Y/N!” the older one announced and the first two men advanced on the newcomers.
Lee watched in disbelief, possibly shock as well, as the older man swung his blade, easily decapitating the first man as Y/N screamed, launching herself at him. The younger fought against the second guy, fists flying and grunts filling the small room. It was like a well choreographed fight scene from an action movie until another head rolled to a stop next to him.
“What the hell is going on here?” Lee demanded.
“We can’t explain right now, but I need you to trust me.” The younger man approached him, while his father restrained Y/N.
“Trust you? You just killed two men and I should trust you?” Lee bellowed. “This is my house and you better explain yourself right now!”
“Those were not men. They were monsters. They took your girl here and changed her. She’s a monster, just like them. And now, she’ll die, just like them.” The older one spoke, dragging Y/N to a chair and securing her tightly. He pulled his machete from its sheath and lifted it high, ready to swing.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Just stop! What the hell are you talking about? Tell me now!” Lee demanded.
“My name is Dean Winchester and this is my dad, John,” Dean said. He then pointed to the headless men on the floor. “Those are, were, vampires. And that is a newborn vampire.” He gestured to Y/N tied to the chair.
Lee looked at the girl, the woman, he swore to love forever. Her teeth were bared, long blood stained fangs brushing against the soft pink of her lips he had kissed so many times. He looked down at himself, the front of his shirt bright red with blood. Then he remembered she bit him.
“You bit me?” Lee asked her.
“You are my first meal, or should have been, if these assholes hadn’t interrupted dinner time,” she laughed. “I was going to feed on you, then turn you so you were like me and we could live forever, fucking and killing, the way it should have been.”
“What?” Lee asked, still reeling.
“Vamps think they should rule the world. No cares, just living out their basics instincts, for an eternity,” John announced.
“Feeding and fucking, “ Dean shrugged, a small smirk on his face. “Now, Y/N, sweetheart, do you have anything you want to say before we chop your head off?”
“Fuck you!” Y/N spat at the two hunters. She looked to Lee, her teeth returned to normal and smiled sweetly at him, a small glimpse of the girl he loved. “Please don’t tell my mother. Tell her I’m in heaven, please. I’m so sorry, Lee. I really do love you.”
Lee took one step closer, aching to kiss her once last time.  “Y/N, I’ll love you forever.”
“Dean, son, take him outside, he doesn’t need to see this,” John ordered his son.
“Come on, man. Let’s take a walk.”
Lee hesitated, but Y/N just nodded and smiled. He turned and stepped out into the cool night, Dean by his side. He flinched when he heard a thump from inside the cabin. Their cabin. Where he planned to love her, start a family with her. Funny how forever can be severed by the sharp knife of a short life. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply, before letting it out and opening them again.
He looked down at his shirt with tears in his eyes before looking back up and meeting Dean’s eyes. “That’s...a lot of blood.” Lee dropped to his knees in the dirt.
“You’re going to be okay. Eventually,” Dean told him, pressing a cloth to the side of his neck. “I’m sorry this happened to you, to your girlfriend. Everyone has a story. This is how yours starts.”

Answering a call from Bobby to assist Garth and two other hunters on a vamp mission in Branson, she meets Sam and Dean Winchester. Determined, independent, and sassy as hell, Dean can’t control himself around her; causing him to become a not-so-smooth wannabe ladies man. When her family comes after her determined to make her take her place in the familial hierarchy, will (y/n) allow Dean to help out? Or will she give into her family’s wishes?
Word Count: 1869
Characters: FemaleAlpha!Reader, Alpha!Dean, Beta!Sam, Beta!Garth, Beta!Bobby
Pairings: FemaleAlpha!Reader X Alpha!Dean, all other pairings platonic
WARNINGS: strong language, canon violence, a woman not taking shit from anyone, smut (inevitable), A/B/O dynamics (heats, ruts, scenting, claiming, etc.)
A/N: So apparently it’s been over a year since I’ve updated this fic. Whoops! Finally got my inspiration back and wrote a Chapter 9. It doesn’t go anywhere, this one is kind of a filler BUT I think it’s kinda funny, so give it a whirl! If I tagged you and you wish to not be tagged anymore please message me! I just went off my old taglist. Hopefully, I can crank out the rest of this series and wrap it up after letting it sit for so long. Thanks for reading! Reblogs and asks are welcome!
(In my A/B/O au all genders are the same as the typical A/B/O rules/dynamics, except female alpha’s, in which mine are not hermaphroditic nor do they experience ruts. Instead they have typical lady parts and also experience heat cycles.)

Chapter 9: Cracky Cover-ups
Sam returned from his impromptu hunt a few days later, the smell of oversexed Alphas permeating the air rushing at him as he opened the bunker door. Resigning to breathing through his mouth, he trampled down the iron staircase and made a beeline for the exhaust fan’s switch before tossing his hunting equipment on the War Room table. Once the fan began pulling the thick stench of sweat and pheromones from the bunker, Sam began to breathe easier. He puttered around, unpacking his things and putting the weapons away before making himself comfortable at the kitchen table with a glass of water. He grabbed a whole grain muffin and placed it neatly on the corner of the table as he began reading the day’s headlines.
Down the hall in the newly mated Alpha’s room, Dean slowly drifted out of his peaceful slumber. His eyes fell on the beautiful woman beside him. She was lying on her stomach, her face half-squished into the pillow she had clutched beneath her torso, and one leg thrown over and wrapped around Dean’s own. Tenderly he brushed the hair tickling her nose back behind her ear as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead. Carefully disengaging himself, he padded across the room to pull a pair of sweats over his bare form before slipping from the room.
Dean hadn’t felt this good in ages. He’d been sleeping more soundly than normal and he finally found his mate. Knock on wood, but things were going pretty well for him. He felt renewed, invigorated, like nothing in this shit-hole of a world could bring him down.
With a new pep in his step, he strutted down the hallway toward the kitchen elated at the turn of events. As he turned the corner--entering the room holding the shrine to the dark liquid of life people called coffee--Dean was midway through singing and bopping along to the chorus of “I Kissed A Girl” as he set about preparing the dark brew.
The younger Winchester say quietly, allowing the elder to finish his makeshift concert and the glass pot back onto its warmer before speaking up. “Katy Perry?” Sam questioned from the table.
Startled, Dean jumped, spinning around and swinging his arms in karate chopping motions before settling into a crouch, both arms bent at the elbows, hands flattened for chopping would be attackers. His eyes wildly combed the room until they landed on his younger brother at the table attempting to hide his smirk behind his glass.
“Geez, dude! C’mon,” he shouted indignantly as he broke his stance.
“What?” Sam chuckled. “I wasn’t intending to sneak up on you.” He gulped his water, before swallowing and adding, “but I can’t say it didn’t have its perks.”
“You could have said something,” he mumbled as he turned, taking two mugs out of the cabinet and filling them to the brim. Once the mugs were full, Dean settled himself at the laminate table across from his brother. “How was the hunt,” he queried, sipping deeply from his mug,
“Fine, actually. Just a salt and burn in Minnesota. Garth came by to help out, so really it was nothing.”
Dean furrowed his brows, doing the math in his head. “So why were you gone so long?”
“I went to see Jody and Donna,” he shrugged. “No offense, but I really didn’t want to be around after what I—,” Sam cut himself off, clearing his throat, “—walked in on.” He raised his brows pointedly as he drank from his glass.
“Oh…” Dean blushed, remembering that night with a smirk. “Right,” he grinned.
 Sam scrunched his face. “Ew.”
“I thought I heard voices,” y/n announced from the doorway.
Dean turned to look at her, his grin growing impossibly wider as he took her in. She was dressed haphazardly in a pair of his boxers and the t-shirt he wore the day before; her hair was mussed from sleep, and the remnants of the night’s slumber clung to her eyes.
“Hey, Sweetheart,” he replied. “Coffee?” Dean pointed to the steaming cup at the place beside him.
“Yeah, thanks,” she said, giving him a half-grin as she settled into the chair next to his, imbibing the dark, bitter liquid.
“No problem,” he grinned, kissing her temple lightly.
“Sam,” y/n acknowledged with a smile and nod of her head, “How was the hunt?”
“G-good,” he coughed trying not to remember the moment he walked in on before he left. “Had some help from an old friend.” He smiled awkwardly.
Possessively Dean reached over and pulled her chair sideways so it was flush against his own before slinging his arm around her shoulders and pulling her into his side. Unconsciously, y/n pulled her feet up beneath her in order to lean into him better.
“I’m glad it went well,” she replied.
“It did, i-i-it did,” he stuttered, nodding his head and shooting her a polite smile.
The trio fell into a comfortable silence as Sam returned to reading the news, y/n and Dean content to just be for the time being as they cuddled together drinking their coffee. A few moments later y/n’s eyes were wandering around the room taking in the kitchen. The few times she’d been in here for an extended period of time was to eat and to…
Nervously her gaze dropped to the corner of the table where Sam’s muffin resided. There. The muffin was sitting on the laminate top. No plate. No napkin. No paper wrapper. Taking her coffee mug in her left hand, y/n nudged Dean in the ribs with her opposite elbow. “Dean,” she whispered lightly from the side of her mouth.
Turning his head he buried his nose in her hair above her ear. “Hmm?” He hummed dreamily, placing a soft kiss to the side of her head.
“Look at the corner of the table. The one by Sam,” she mumbled low enough for him to hear.
He turned his head far enough for him to cut his eyes in the direction she ordered. Pivoting back, he breathed, “It’s one of his gross wholegrain things. What about it?” He pulled away to look down at her, his brows questioning.
“That’s the corner... You know?” Her eyes were wide.
Dean paused for a minute. “Yeah, it’s the corner. The table is a rectangle,” he stated confused.
Sam glanced up at the pair, one brow quirked up. “Dean, I think y/n can handle basic geometry,” he chuckled, turning back to his paper.
Y/n cleared her throat, and smiled awkwardly. “Thanks, Sam,” she said with a forced chuckle before turning back to Dean. “No, you idiot,” she smacked him in the chest.
Dean let out an oof! as he brought his hand up to rub away the pain. “Ow!” he groaned with a scowl.
“Dean, that is the corner where you…” she trailed off hoping he would remember. His quizzical look told her she was clearly going to have to spell it out for him. “It’s where you got me off,” she whisper-yelled low enough for Sam not to hear her.
Realization dawned on him when he remembered the night he claimed her. How he had bent her over the table, her clit rubbing against the corner as he pounded into her. In the haze of the last couple days, neither of them had cleaned up the bunker. His eyes grew wide realizing what she was implying. Her answering gaze nearly identical.
“H-hey, Sam,” Dean said to his brother flustered, pivoting his head back to his direction. “C-could y/n have that muffin? She’s pretty hungry and she just absolutely loves whole grain muffins,” Dean lied as Sam looked at them confusedly.
“I do?” She questioned him. When Dean’s elbow landed in her ribs, she stuttered out, “I mean, yeah, I-I do! I’d really love that one!”
“Um, yeah. Sure.” Sam picked up the muffin and handed it over to y/n who took a giant bite out of the top.
“Mmm,” she mumbled through bleary eyes and a forced smile. “So good!” She chomped a few more times before getting up to get a dishrag and some sanitizer. “Oh no! I got crumbs everywhere!” She hollered through a mouthful of the cardboard tasting baked good. Motioning for the boys to pick up their things so she could clean, y/n sprayed the table and wiped it down.
Once she was finished, she retrieved her coffee mug and the remainder of the muffin and retreated toward the bedroom. “Thanks Sam,” she said through the mouthful of wholegrain nastiness.
Dean thumbed toward the door, mumbling something about following her as he rose from his chair and nonchalantly strode out of the room. By the time he entered his bedroom, y/n was standing with her head in the trash can, vehemently spitting out Sam’s dry, grainy muffin.
“Ugh! Coffee,” she declared, slamming the waste receptacle down and turning to look to the desk. “Where did I put my coffee?!”
Spying it on the nightstand, Dean grabbed her mug and brought it over to her. “Here, Sweetheart.” He chuckled.
Y/n glared at him over the rim of the white porcelain as she swilled a large mouthful before swishing it around her teeth. With furrowed brows she spit the errant crumb mixture into the trash can. “Y/n loves wholegrain muffins,” she hollered at the eldest Winchester as he hid a laugh behind his hand. “Dean Winchester I could throttle you right now.” Y/n’s chest was heaving with embarrassment, anger, and mirth.
On the one hand the situation was funny as fuck, no matter how embarrassing. On the other hand, Dean was an asshole for throwing her under the bus like that.
“But Sweetheart, you did so good in covering it up,” Dean teased, as he closed the distance between the two of them.
“No matter how amusing the situation is Dean, if Sam starts trying to feed me healthy food, I’m going to tell him in detail what you did to me on that table.” Y/n stared back at him, gaze hard.
Dean’s jaw bobbed as he searched for what to say, ultimately deciding to play it safe with a well timed ‘yes dear’ and a peck on the lips. Quickly that peck turned heated, but as Dean slipped his tongue into y/n’s open and waiting mouth he broke the kiss with a girlish giggle.
“What?” She glared at him.
“Y-you taste like muffin,” he guffawed. “I can feel the little gritty bits!”
Forcefully, y/n rolled her eyes and shoved the oversized Alpha away. “I’m going to go shower and brush my teeth,” she grumbled, heading for the door. Hearing heavy footsteps treading after her, she spun on her heels and shoved her finger in his face growling, “Do. Not. Follow me.”
“But! Y/n--” He whined.
“You’re not invited!” She replied with a yell, spinning back around and leaving the room.
“C-can’t we talk about this?” Dean asked hopefully, praying she’d change her mind.
“Nope!” Dean heard her voice echo down the hallway.
“Dammit!” He whined, as he set about tidying the room and getting dressed for the day.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS
My first Thiam fic. Well, my first fic at all, I´ve allways wrote other stuff. Also, my first english text.
Thanks so much @lovelylittlegrim for the inspiration and for being my beta reader (I still can´t believe it) and corrector.
And thanks to everyone who encourage me. You are the best.
Let me know what you think!
(The fic changes canon a bit, inverting the order of 6x13 and 6x12).
It was late and Theo still didn't have a place to spend the night. He was driving around, looking somewhere he could park his car and try to sleep before some fucking cop will wake him up. It was the same every night since Liam brought him back. However, besides the nightmares, it was still better than hell.
It was funny, Theo thought bitterly, not to be sure if his life was better or worse than actually being in hell.
There was, however, no Liam in hell.  So, maybe it was better being back, even with the nightmares, even with the loneliness and living in his truck. Because he could be there for Liam. Why did he care, anyway? The boy had rescued him, but they were not friends, were they? Friends or not, he didn´t know why or how, but it seemed like he always could find Liam, especially when he was in trouble. So,Theo was not surprised when he heard Liam´s howl.
 Fuck.
Theo turned left and there Liam was; half-shifted with panic and rage in his eyes, just standing in the middle of the street with a lot of people staring at him, the smell of fear filling the air. He was near two bodies, and Theo felt his own heart jump. He moved his truck until he was near Liam and opened the passenger´s door.
“Get in.”  Liam looked at him, freaked out. “Come on, Dunbar, get in the fucking car!”
Liam reacted to the shout, his face changing back to human as he got in to Theo's car, but he hadn’t closed the door. “Wait,”  he said in a low voice, as though he felt he had already lost,“we can´t leave them here”.
“Liam, we need to move, now. We can´t do anything and you can´t stay here. So, please, close the fucking door, or I swear…”.
“Ok.”
Theo felt the air freeze in his lungs. That was not Liam. Liam would have fight him. But not this Liam. This Liam suddenly looked younger and somehow older than ever: tired, scared, and so heartbreaking sad. But Theo said nothing, did nothing. He just drove the rest of the way to Liam´s house in silence, while the younger boy stared blankly out the window. He wanted to ask what happened, wanted to reach and grab Liam´s hand and say something to comfort him, but he didn´t. He couldn´t take the risk of being rejected; of being exposed and vulnerable.
He stopped in front of Liam´s house. The street was quiet and peacefull, just like a different town, not the place where two teenagers just died in the middle of the street. The city was like Theo: a pretender, hidding the ugly places and showing just a false good side.
There was no light in Liam´s house, no sign of life inside, so Theo thought his parents might be out or sleeping. Liam stood, quiet, until Theo spoke. “Liam, are you ok?”
Liam didn´t answer.
What a stupid question, Theo thought. “Do you want me to call Scott? Mason?”
“No. I´m fine. Thanks for the ride,” he said as he opened the door, not looking at Theo.
“No problem,” Theo said. He wanted to go with Liam, make sure he was fine, but Liam just turned around and Theo started driving again. It wasn´t his problem. Not his pack. Not his friend.
Five minutes later he stopped. He couldn´t leave Liam alone. He thought about calling his friends, but it was late and he was closer to Liam´s house than anyone. “Fuck,” he said as he turned to go back to Liam´s place. He knocked on the house door but nobody opened. He tried to opened it and it was easy: it was unlocked. It was the kind of neighbourhood where people leave their doors unlocked.
When he entered the smell of panic hit his nose. He followed it to the stairs, and there he found Liam. The boy was sitting in the last step grabbing the rail and gasping for air. He didn´t look at Theo, as though he was miles away.
“Liam, you need to breathe”, Theo said. He knew what a panic attack was, and Liam seemed to be really fucked up. “Come on, Liam, listen to me!” he said, grabbing Liam´s hands. He let the rail go and finally looked at Theo, panic all over his face.
“I can´t…” he couldn´t even finish the phrase but Theo knew what he meant.
“You can, Liam, you can breathe, I promise. I need you to trust me, ok? Now, stand up” he said and helped him to stand. Then he went down the hallway until he found a bathroom. Liam was almost being carried by Theo, who turned the cold water in the shower on.
“Ok, Liam, now I´m going to put you in the shower.”
Liam didn´t answer, so Theo pushed him until he was in the water.
Liam took a big breath in surprise.
“There it is, Little Wolf, you can breathe,”  Liam started trying to breath normally, and Theo stood there.
He looked misserable, his clothes wet from the cold water showering down on him and his hair falling into his face while he gasped for air.
It seemed weird, the whole scene: the perfect blond teenager in the perfect clean an fancy bathroom, but nothing else was perfect: people just died, and watching the perfect boy was the perfect monster, the perfect killer.
Theo tried not to think so much; he knew it would be easier for Liam if he had something to focus, so Theo thought he could tell him a story.
“You like history, don´t you? Well, I´m going to tell you a story, ok?” Liam looked at him and nodded, and Theo finally stopped the water while Liam continued relaxing his breathing. “There was this ancient… King or sultan or something like that who…”
“Where?” Liam asked.
“Where? Mmmm, well, maybe in Europe. Yeah, Europe.”
“What country?”
“For god sake, Dunbar, I´m trying to tell you the fucking story.”
“Ok,” Liam said, his breath still too fast.
“Just don´t say it’s historical” Liam said, sitting in the shower, all wet, looking at Theo.
Theo sat on the floor, back against the wall, and couldn't help laughing at Liam´s words.
“Ok, not a historical story, just a story. So, this non-historical King wanted to inscribe on a ring something really important to remember, something wise, you know?”
“Why?”
“I don´t know why, Liam! That´s what kings and rich people do, inscribe things in rings!”
“Ok, Theo, you don´t have to be so grumpy.”
Theo took a deep breath, tried to ignore the urge of punching Liam in a no grumpy way.
“So, the King asked his wise men to invent him a sentence, to be ever in view, and which should be true and appropriate in all times and situations. And finally the words were ‘this too shall pass’.”
Liam looked at Theo, an eyebrow up, like wondering what he should say.
“What I mean, Liam, is that nothing is forever. When you´re happy you have to enjoy it because it won´t last, and when you are… all broken and wet in the shower, well, it won´t last forever either.”
Liam’s face was blank, impossible to read, but he nodded at Theo.
“I know. But still… Nevermind. Thanks, Theo,” Liam said, not looking at Theo´s eyes. “You don´t have to stay, I´ll be fine.”
“Ok, but you should take a real shower or you will freeze to death. And I need to be sure you don´t slide or do anything stupid, so I´ll wait in your bedroom.”
Liam didn´t seem pleased with the idea but he nodded.
Five minutes later Theo was in Liam´s bedroom. The room was too another piece in the perfect american family picture: it was a clean, roomy and nice space. Theo stare at the bookshelves: there was filled with books and trophies and pictures of Liam´s parents, Liam´s friends, all of them happy and smiling.
Theo felt like an intruder, sitting on the edge of the  bed, listening to the shower and thinking about what the hell he was doing. He knew Liam wasn´t good at all, but his friends were dead and there was nothing they could do about it. Theo shivered thinking about the possibility of Liam getting hurt, maybe killed, as Lori and Brett had been. Why did he care? He was just a beta, one of a pack that didn´t want Theo around. Why couldn´t Theo stop thinking about Liam, then?
He was thinking about that when Liam entered the room, a towel around his hips. “Ey. You are still there.”
“Yeah, I told you I would wait.”
Liam didn´t answer and turned around to change. Theo looked away, giving him some privacy, trying to ignore the fact that he was blushing. Really? Blushing? The big bad chimera?
When Liam was dressed he sat in his bed, next to Theo. They were silent for a while, in an uncomfortable way, until Theo spoke. “Do you want to tell me what happened?”
Liam stared at his feet, and Theo remain silent, leaving him some space. After a few minutes, the boy started talking. He told Theo about Brett and Lori and what happened to them: the tunnels, the hunters, Liam trying to save them. His voice was low, like he didn´t want to hear his own story.
“I couldn´t save them, Theo,” he said, his voice breaking. “They are dead and it´s my fault.”
The tears started running to his cheeks, and he looked away, trying to hide it from Theo, who didn´t know what to do, what to say. Finally, he reached his hand out and grabbed Liam’s shoulder.
When Liam felt Theo´s touch, turned abruptly burying his face in Theo´s chest as he began sobbing. Theo froze as Liam wrapped his arms around him; after a while he returned the hug, letting Liam cry all over him.
“It wasn´t your fault,” he said, near to Liam´s ear, in a tone so soft that even he was surprised.
He thought about how young Liam was. Maybe he had never lost someone close. Or, parhaps, nobody had ever died in front of him. That made sense. That´s not normal; Theo´s life wasn´t normal, and he has no business with the soft and innocent Liam.
Theo was a mess. He knew how to fight Liam or how to fight with Liam, but he didn´t know how to comfort anybody; he wasn´t even sure if he wanted to do that, or why he would do it. Also, he doesn´t remember the last time someone had hugged him. Anyway, it was Liam, not just anyone, and all Theo could do was trying to take care of him. “But why?” he thought, and then, in his head, another voice answered: “Theo Raeken: failure.”
This wasn´t good. This made him weaker. He wanted to run away, but he couldn´t. He waited until Liam stopped crying and they separated.
Liam´s eyes were red, and he looked embarrassed. “I´m sorry,” he said.
“It´s ok,” Theo said, standing up.
“Are you leaving?” Liam asked, not hiding the disappointment in his voice.
“Yeah, I guess. You need to sleep.”
“Please… stay?” Liam asked, his voice so desperate that it made it difficult for Theo to say no. “My parents aren´t home, and I don´t wanna be alone. Not tonight. Please?”
Theo didn´t know what to do. He didn´t want to be so close to anyone, he didn´t want such a weakness, but on the other hand, he didn´t want to leave Liam alone and he couldn’t remember the last time he slept in a real bed.
“Ok,” he said finally, and Liam‘s face looked relieved. “Just tonight.”
“Thanks”, Liam said, trying to smile. “I have a guest room but… you can stay here. The bed is big enough, you won´t even notice I´m here.”
Theo raised an eyebrow. “Are you trying to seduce me, Little Wolf?”
“What? No! Fuck, Theo, no! Nevermind, it was a stupid thing to ask, you can go.”
“Chill, Dumbar. I was joking. I´ll stay here. But you will have to lend me some clothes if you don´t want me naked in your bed.”
A few minutes later they were both in bed, with space enough between them for somebody else. The bed was son comfortable and warm, tha Theo thought he couldn´t ever sleep in his truck again. He knew Liam was awake, and he turned and faced him. Without saying a word, Liam abruptly grabbed one of Theo´s hand and pulled it up to his head. Theo couldn´t help it and he started touching Liam´s hair, softly, until he felt Liam was asleep. He wanted to leave, but he fell asleep as well.
He woke up at 4 in the morning. Liam had his head against Theo´s chest, whose arm was around Liam´s waist. He closed his eyes and smelled Liam´s scent, feeling the heat radiating from his body. He thought this was the closest to home he had ever been. So, he freaked out.
This wasn´t his home. He didn´t deserve that, and more importantly, Liam was better without the murderous, failure, Theo Raeken. So, he got up, trying not to wake Liam.
Before he left, he wrote a Post-it and put it on Liam's desk. “Remember, Little Wolf, this too shall pass.”
He drove around until he parked in an industrial area. He just sat there, thinking about what happened, thinking about Liam and the way he felt being with him, the urge to protect him and also the feeling of being safe around him.
He saw a light outside, and thought it was the police again, but when he looked there was three hunters pointing guns at him. Suddenly, his phone rang and he saw Liam´s name on his screen.
“Fuck.”

I'm gonna be greedy and hit you with another prompt. lol Hope you won't mind! What if...right after the "let's get out of here" moment in 2x20, Alec collapses on their way to Magnus' loft because he's been wounded by one of the demons during the battle but he's been too busy to really take care of it? I don't know, I'm just in the mood for some self-indulgent hurt/comfort with ensuing fluff, and you do both so well!
Anonimo ha detto:Hi ! I love the way you write and wanted to ask, if you’re still taking prompts, if you maybe could write a little something for me. Malec, post 2x20, where Alec works himself out because he’s stressing both over his parabatai and his relationship with Magnus, and it takes him collapsing for Magnus to realise he might have to apologise too for the way he treated him in that episode ? Cause their conversation, tho it was sweet left me unsatisfied on that end. Hopefully you’ll feel inspired. :)
I don’t mind at all! :D Especially with hurt/comfort and fluff GIVE ME ALL THE PROMPTSAlso, since these two prompts were kinda similar, I’ve decided to mix them, I hope you won’t mind :)I basically rewrote and ending for 2x20 (which is, I know, pretty insane because canon ending was kinda perfect)Anyway, I hope you’ll like it!Let me know :)
Read on AO3
Alec’s been looking at him all night, quick glances and longingstares Izzy and Clary have been elbowing him out of.
He looks – tired. Not quite as drained as he’d been on the beach, but he’s sitting by himself, drinking slowly in a quiet corner; allAlec can think about is that he’d give up anything to be in theirbed, fingers buried in his hair, curled around him. To be home.
He doesn’t even know if he gets to think of it as their bedanymore.
But there’s this quiet longing inhis chest, a pull thatdoesn’t allow him to look away.
He stands up when Magnus does, almost knocks over Izzy’s drink, worrying his lower lip with histeeth as he watches him make his way towards the exit; he doesn’tknow if he should –maybe it’s not his place anymore, maybe it’s not his right anymore, but then the door is swinging heavily behind Magnus’ back and thelonging in his chest turns into a sharp pain and he knows he can’tjust let him go.
He presses his palm against his hipbone as he makes his way throughthe crowd, mindful of the torn skin that isn’t quite healed yet, andhe pushes the door shoulder first, the cool air momentarily freezingagainst his skin after the suffocating warmth of the Hunter’s Moon.
He’s walking slowly, placing onefoot perfectly in front of the other, walking in that way he does, hipsswaying slightly.
“Going home already?” he says, quickly, breathless, before hisfear reaches his throat.
Magnus stops; his arms are bent, he’s probably playing with hisrings. He turns and doesn’t quite look at Alec, faces the wall of theHunter’s Moon instead: “Yes, I’d rather be there. I’m too tired tocelebrate.”
He sounds wary, hesitant – like he doesn’t know where they standeither, and Alec takes a step forward, hope blossoming shyly in hischest: “You – you’re alright, right?”
Magnus turns fully towards him, his lips curled in a defeated smile:“Yes,” he murmurs softly, “I’m alright. I’m just tired.”
Alec presses his lips together for a moment and leans back, tryingnot to reach out for him; he combs his fingers through his hair, still damp from the shower he’d taken right before going out: “Okay,”he says, and then “Okay,” again, just to collect his thoughtsbecause he feels like he’s overflowing with emotions, “I was – Iwas hoping we could talk?”, he says, hesitation turning it into aquestion, “When you’re not tired. Just – maybe give me a call?”
Magnus – stops. He seems to really consider him for the first timein days, his lips parted like maybe he’s trying to hold somethingback. When he moves towards Alec it’s slowly, with purpose; he stopsright in front of him, close enough that he has to tilt his head backjust so to look at him.
“Aren’t you coming home?” he whispers.
Alec blinks: “Home?”, he asks, the word getting stuck in histhroat.
“Alec,” Magnus breathes, and it sounds like oh, Alec, andhe reaches out, his palm against Alec’s cheek, his fingers buried inthe short hair on his nape as he drags him close, buries his noseunder his ear, “You must know – you must know it’s always home,”he whispers, Alec’s arms wrapping even tighter around him, “I neverwant you to – I was – I’m sorry, I didn’t know how to balance youand my duties and I – I hurt you.”, and he doesn’t wantAlec to go away, he doesn’t want Alec to look at him because hedoesn’t know how to explain it quite yet, that he thought he’d knownlove before and he thought he knew what love meant to him and what itwould turn him into, but then – then he’d met Alec and he’drealised just how defenceless he actually is against him.
Alec doesn’t go anywhere, simply buries himself deeper in his arms:“I shouldn’t have lied, I’m sorry, I should’ve – I should’ve toldyou, I shouldn’t have put you in that position.”
“We’ll do better next time,” Magnus says, and he knows theywill, he trusts the way Alec is holding him.
Alec nods, his forehead brushing against Magnus’ neck; he whispers:“Let’s go home. Please.”
Magnus leans back, his thumbs brushing the purple circles underAlec’s hazel eyes; he presses his lips against Alec’s for a longmoment, a sweet warmth working its way in his lungs. “Let’s gohome.”
*
He knows something is wrong the second the portal leaves them intheir living room; Alec is leaning heavily against him, a handpressed against his own side, pain twisting his expression in a waythat’s still too fresh in Magnus’ mind.
“Alec,” Magnus says, trying to focus, his fingers only a breathaway from Alec’s, “What is it? What’s wrong? Is it the rune?”
Alec shakes his head, teeth harshly biting down on his lower lip.“Demon,” he says, breathing hard, his eyes closed and his jawclenched, and Magnus’ eyes widen: “You were hurt by an Edomi?”
Alec nods, his eyes still closed, and Magnus loses his breath: “Ican’t be touching you,” he says, he can’t think because hismagic can’t help, but then Alec groans in pain and Magnus snaps outof it, walks as quickly as he can towards the couch and helps Aleclay down, stops touching him as soon as he can.
“Edomi,” he explains, voice shaking as Alec blinks in surprise atthe pain lessening, “I’m – my father – I have their blood, I –I can’t help you, I have to call Catarina, I – ”
“Magnus.”
Alec’s voice is low and rough with pain, but Magnus turns towards himimmediately: “It’s fine. I’m home. I’ll be fine.”
*
The spell isn’t as difficult as it is uncomfortable, Alec’s eyessqueezed shut against the invasive feeling of the poison being pulledout of his blood, and Catarina’s magic, as friendly as it feels, isnot – familiar.
He’s exhausted by the time she’s done, a sheen of sweat covering hisskin: “Can I – can he – ”
Catarina looks at him with amusement: “Yes, you can.”
Alec would blush if he could: “Sorry, I should’ve – thank you.”
Catarina seems to study him for a moment before she stands up: “Noneed to thank me,” she says, “You are the most important thing inMagnus Bane’s life. That comes with benefits.”, she bends to placea kiss on his forehead, rough and motherly, “Get some rest so youdon’t give him a heart attack.”
Magnus is standing with his back against the wall, arms crossed overhis chest. Catarina rolls her eyes at him: “He’s fine, Magnus.”
“Barely.”
Catarina snorts: “Next time fall in love with a cockroach then.”
Magnus makes a face and Catarina sticks her tongue out at him: “I’mgoing home. I have a double shift for the next fifteen years, give ortake. You should go hold your boy and make sure he doesn’t move forthe next twentyfour hours.”, she stamps a kiss on his cheek beforeportaling out.
*
Magnus’ steps are hesitant in the room until Alec can’t take itanymore: “If you don’t come to me, I’ll come to you.”
Magnus crawls on the bed then, still mindful of the bandage aroundAlec’s waist; he holds himself up on his elbows and he looks down atAlec; he nudges the tip of his nose with his own: “You promise?”
A smile curls Alec’s lips as he closes his eyes: “Yeah, I promise.”
“Alright then,” Magnus says, and they’re both tired when theykiss, drained, recovering, works in progress, but it tastes likehome.
