This au revolves around the idea that Eugene could grab the moonstone instead of Cassandra to save Rapunzel's life. This would deliver A LOT OF ANGST!!!

He starts doubting the idea of finding the moonstone in Matthew's house. He gets segregated from the main cast and enter the mystery door, where Zhan Tiri shows him a vision of Rapunzel's death.

He takes the final decision when he arrives in the Dark Kingdom and finds out his origins. He realises what danger the moonstone keeps in itself and snatches it. He pushes Rapunzel away and stays in the Dark Kingdom with his father and accepts his fate as the Dark Prince and the keeper of the moon drop.

For new users, you can't change the default back to Following. This means that whenever you open up your app/go to your dash, the first tab you'll see is the For You tab

Yes, some people mentioned that you don't have to turn off Based on your likes and Best stuff first, but that's mostly my preference since (to me at least) it does not work, it just shows me random shit that is absolutely not based on my likes

My main problem with this update is that it strips the user from being able to choose what they wanted to see. It's totally cool if you use the For You tab, but it shouldn't be the default option

Additional points from the tags and reblogs:

You can turn off public likes and followings, again, not mandatory, but it's an option

Make sure to turn off Tumblr Live (pretty sure it's only available to US users, which I am not one) since it apparently drains mobile data

There are (browser) addons and extensions that allows you to block elements or make your tumblr experience better, like uBlock Origin (an adblocker which can be used to block certain elements from showing up) and the XKit Control Panel/New XKit

I find him creepy as F. I still don’t understand why I keep getting letters to him. The worst part is that it’s from more than one person.

Make no mistake, I still stand by that everyone is allowed to send letters to Hotti, but I think it’s starting to go against the Keep it Clean rule. Everyone writing Hotti letters KEEP IT CLEAN. None of this peedo, grooming or weirdass letters of Trucy calling Hotti her “daddy” or looking to him as anymore than some Doctor. I will delete them. It’s not funny, it never was funny, your attempts to make him being creepy doesn’t work PERIOD and if you want to make it funny, at least have him write to more than just Phoenix, Trucy, Franzy, Mimi or any girl he’s already flirted with already. Heck, have him write to Dahlia or Oldbag. Even Mia would be a more interesting choice! If there’s any type of letters I HATE answering, it’s repetitive letters that keep asking the same question with different wording. If you ever wondered why I’m having characters ask us to no longer send your or certain types of letters to them THAT’S WHY. I literally can’t think of any other answer other than what they’ve already said. 

I’m not going to place a new rule, but I will ask you guys to please try not to make your letters repetitive. It isn’t just the Hotti letters. The Yanni Yogi trash letters were getting repetitive and now the Kristoph Gavin is innocent slash trash Phoenix letters are starting to get repetitive. I don’t mind if it’s the Marry, Kiss, Kill game to every character from the AA games, because you’re getting different reactions. However, when it’s the same characters and you’re beating the same drum, it’s like hearing Let it Go for the umpteenth time in a row. Try to diversify the letters and, if you are making a chain of letters, write each letter uniquely. If this continues, I may have to consider making a new rule.

Chief Mod Edgeworth: So long as you don’t go so far as to be a jerk about it. The biggest issue I had when you did that is that it felt as if you were trying to annoy or trigger those that shipped Narumayo. Perhaps that wasn’t your intention, but getting onto Pearl for wanting Phoenix and Maya to be together almost seemed like you were trying to piss off Narumayo fans. You need to understand that Narumayo was originally intended on being a canon ship from the beginning. They aren’t anymore because the team in charge of the trilogy was changed after Apollo Justice and I feel it’d be better if Iris came back and Feenris was the canon ship. That being said, because Narumayo was considered the canon ship at first, there are many shippers that love those two. 

I say ship with whomever you want to ship. Now, is that to say I won’t ever express my distaste for ships like Narumayo, Kapollo or Franmaya? No. I will tell it like it is. I don’t like Narumayo, I don’t get Kapollo and I think Franmaya is a toxic ship. That doesn’t mean I don’t like those that ship Narumayo, that I don’t get those that ship Kapollo (I’ve shipped ships that were more off-the-wall than that) or that I think those that ship Franmaya are toxic (for god sakes, I ship Gregory Edgeworth and Manfred von Karma as a Guilty Pleasure). If you’re going to write Feenris letters, try not to make it seem like you’re trying to piss off other shippers.

Co-Mod: I'm not a huge FNAF fan, but I guess the first one describes me best.  I love games that let you take your time and explore the world you’re in while progressing through the story at whatever pace you want, including but not limited to the 3D Mario games, The Legend of Zelda series (Breath of the Wild especially), and the more recently released Sonic Frontiers.  (Come to think of it, Tears of the Kingdom will be released by the time this is posted, won’t it?  😃)  I can enjoy games with faster paces, of course, but soaking in all the fun stuff a game has to offer is what I’m all about.

Chief Mod Edgeworth: Doesn’t matter. If a character doesn’t wish to talk to you anymore, we cater to their wishes. It’s our way of answering letters if the only response the character can make is silence, because they’re giving you the cold shoulder. It doesn’t mean you can’t completely talk to them anymore. It just means any response letter to that is now void. I often use this when the letters become repetitive as I’ve just mentioned above. In your case, I literally couldn’t think of anything else to say and I thought her response was funny.

It’s this letter right? Dr. Hotti never mentioned anything about trans men or trans women. He just said that men need to stay out of women’s spaces and that women wouldn’t look pretty if OTHER GUYS LIKE HIM can put on a dress and go inside a lady’s restroom. Not Trans, unless you think that’s what trans means, which um... no it isn’t. They’re called trans women for a reason. It means they go through surgeries to modify their bodies and take estrogen to transition into women, which can take years to do and is a painful process. 

I do agree that calling a trans women “a man in a dress” is transphobic, but that’s not whom Dr. Pink-Haired-Man is referring to. He’s talking about full grown men that put on a dress so they can go into the women’s restroom.

in light of people's confusion over cecil's longevity in @sexymanotd i wanted to document a bit of his history for those unfamiliar or nostalgic

welcome to night vale is a podcast written by joseph fink and jeffrey cranor. cecil gerschwin palmer is the main character and voiced by cecil baldwin.

it debuted on june 15, 2012 it reached its peak in popularity in 2013-2014

despite this, wtnv has been one of tumblr's top fandoms since staff started tracking fandom-related data in 2014

for the longest time the only thing we knew about cecil's appearance was: "He is wearing a tie. He is not tall or short. Not thin or fat." and that wasn't until episode 19 which aired march 15, 2013. for almost a full year we had no idea what cecil looked like. so tumblr's collective unconscious kicked into high gear and we did what we do best

we created a tumblr sexyman

from know your meme: "Defining traits of the archetype include skinny body type, trickster or villain role and dapper clothing."

know your meme identifies wheatley (portal 2, 2011) and the onceler (the lorax, 2012) as being likely tumblr's first sexymen. and the onceler fandom was at its peak in 2012-2013, the same time as wtnv. in addition to this, the hannibal fandom has been cited as one of the contributing factors to wtnv's success on tumblr.

so tumblr had created an archetype that worked and the wtnv fandom was made up of mostly hannibal fans - the foundation for putting cecil in a suit was there. and honestly? cecil's at work in the show, why wouldn't he be well dressed?

however, while this explains his attire it doesn't explain some of cecil's more unique sexyman features, namely the tentacles. for this we have to return to the 2014 fandom review analysis where you can see the most popular fandom at the time: homestuck

haven't you ever wondered why almost a quarter (189/923 at time of writing) of E rated wtnv fics on ao3 are tagged tentacles or tentacle sex? why cecil having tentacles for a dick is such a seemingly popular headcanon? well look no further then homestuck cultural hold over.

throughout all of this, the development of the sexyman archetype on tumblr and the rise of homestuck, one creator really stands out: kinomatika

kino was one of the most popular homestuck artists on tumblr at the time, popular for their eridan fanart. if you google image search "welcome to night vale" kino's art is still one of the first results you'll get

their design was so popular in fact it was featured in wtnv related articles from the time

and yes there were absolutely other artists giving cecil tentacles and moving tattoos at the time, but it can't be understated the reach kino had and the influence their homestuck roots had on their design choices

i recommend going through the archive of @nightvaleartclub to see how cecil used to be portrayed back in the early days. unfortunately the earliest fanart i've been able to find is july 2013 and i find it hard to believe it took tumblr a year to draw him. although, i started listening at episode 5 and didn't start drawing him until then myself so who knows...

cecil has had tumblr's heart in a vice grip since episode 1, with "20,000 posts, 183,000 blogs and 680,000 notes using the #Night Vale tag" during its first week. tumblr's love for wtnv has always been fairly genuine, from the impact the writing has had on tumblr humor and future story telling, to how wtnv paved the way for lgbt+ representation in indi media, to how it popularized podcasts as a medium for story telling, to the little comforts some of cecil's quotes still bring people today

cecil is not only a founding father of tumblr culture, but also a blorbo of the people. cecil the character in canon has a tumblr account where he posts his art and slash fanfiction.

although cecil's character has developed over time and we've come to see what a ditzy, eccentric, brat he really is, changing his status from sexyman to babygirl, cecil is absolutely a character you should embrace. and you know what... despite what i've said in the past

The typical episode length will be 21-25 minutes.

There won't be any romance on the show. Stop asking.

Some episodes are a '1' on the horror scale, some are a '6'.

Apparently, a character we haven't met yet is getting the next episode for them.

As of november 6th, Gooseworx says, "The plan is eight episodes total, one season"
