*continues convo* It's a SC crack fic. Sebs is bored, wealthy, has no social life, and turns to Lau about what to do. Lau is Seb's shitty, sketchy drug dealer, and suggests Sebs to buy a sex-bot (surprise, it's Ciel). The idea was a bad one though (because Lau is notorious for getting his clients in trouble lol). I'm going with Lau's passive-chaotic persona here haha~

Omg I LOVE THIS IDEA!!!

Lau is sketchy af in the manga so that role is perfect for him. The idea of Ciel as a sexbot is so interesting, too. I’ve seen stuff where Seb is wealthy and Ciel is a prostitute or stripper but nothing like this... oh I want to read this for sure!

1: Things that inspire me

To expand on that answer, I have so many posts and pictures saved as inspo. Sometimes it can be something I watch on TV or a story I overhear someone share, or something my husband tells me about that will spark ideas for scenes or stories. It’s one reason reading so much is important to me, when my body allows it, because I keep my eyes open for anything I can learn from, both good and bad. Sometimes inspiration can come in the most unexpected places.

12: Fave place to write

Well, honestly it used to be on the couch on my phone, ipad, or laptop with my dogs in my lap, but now that they’re older they don’t let me work as much. So lately I’ve been writing a lot on my “desktop” (it’s a laptop but it’s hooked up to a monitor) in my office. It’s quiet and it lets me focus and get a lot done. (Though I can write a lot on my phone, too. I have very fast double-thumb typing, lol.) Plus I really like the wall colors I picked; I find it calming and soothing (though my Deaf friends/teacher used to tease me incessantly for it), and I have a lot of my plushies and figures around too, plus a painting from a local artist that I adore above my monitor, especially bc it matches my walls 💕.

(Oh and if no one knows, the desktop art on my pc is by the amazingly talented @luci-on-the-moon, drawn for the latest chapter of Where Demons Hide.)

Another answer: As much as I love writing emotionally charged scenes, these can be tricky. It’s really easy to slip into melodrama, or out of character. Especially if it’s a scene that’s really crucial to the story to get right, I can sometimes take a week or more working on it, thinking about exactly what words a particular character would or would not use, what actions they might take, how another character’s behavior or words can affect another, etc., etc. I know it took at least two weeks to write the chapter in WDH that serves as the Act I finale because it’s just *so* important, and I still haven’t gone back to tweak it because it’s still marinating. XD
