#Tulpa life
One of the biggest things that stands out to me about the tulpamancy community on Tumblr is how alienated everyone seems to feel. You've got some advice blogs, some discourse blogs, but that's about it- which is wild to me, cuz tulpamancy is all about community and learning from each other! Even more than that tho, there's something important about seeing other tulpas & created systems doing what we want, making our own choices, LIVING our lives. It's a reminder that we're real people too- it's important and validating for others like us, and it's great for non-tulpas to see that we're just as much real and people as they are. The best part of tulpamancy is that we get to enjoy our own existence, decide for ourselves what we want, and live as US!! I wanna bring that energy to Tumblr.
That's why I'm starting a tag I want any other tulpas (and their hosts too, but don't forget this tag is about our autonomy) to join in on;
✨✨ #tulpa life ✨✨
the new tag for expressing yourself, living your life, and sharing your existence with the world!! What kinda unique experiences do you have as a tulpa? What hobbies and skills have you learned, what friends have you made?? Share your favorite memories, the gift you got for yourself, the food you cooked, anything that pertains to YOU and your existing as a separate real being. Not only for sharing yourself, but for connecting with others too! Imagine how great it'll feel to scroll through a tag full of other tulpas' experiences. I wanna make that a reality!! So help me out by posting things about yourself and your life as a tulpa under the tag #tulpa life, and let's see how many people we can reach by just being ourselves!!!

Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is a topic that can get very confusing for those starting out. There are lots of interchanging terminology, beliefs, and constructs that not everyone sees fit to agree on. This can often create misunderstandings and propagate the misuse of certian energies making navigation for newcomers more than just problematic. In this blog, I will attempt to systematize some of the complexities enough to deliver a more organized path for beginners to follow and build upon.
Keep in mind, however, that while there are some definite rules to thoughtforms there is also a well of UPG around this topic. The knowledge surrounding thoughtforms changes quite considerably with the beliefs of the individuals that practice it. So take from this blog what you will.
Tumblr media
The Basics
So I bet some of you are asking, what exactly is a thoughtform? Well, that’s a being created from our beliefs and thoughts. They are made up of energy and can be utilized in magickal workings. Now there is some confusion among some members of the community here. Sometimes the term is not seen as the umbrella term it really is and instead becomes a varying type all on its own. However, to fully understand where this name fits we need only break it down in its simple meaning. "A being formed by the power of thought." This clearly describes a variety of different beings, not just a singular one, hence why it's more traditionally used as an umbrella term.
⚜️ Creation ⚜️
A thoughtform’s creation will ultimately depend on the witch but essentially most agree it starts with finding a purpose. From there you can build it up starting with a name. A name binds the thing into existence so this is most often agreed upon to be a very important step. From this most people use that name to create a sigil. Others make a symbol on their own and bind it to the name afterward. Either way, it’s often seen as an essential step in the process. A sigil gives the thoughtform a physical foundation to draw energy from and affect the real world. Some witches in turn will then place that sigil on a vessel for their thoughtform to connect to, while others draw it in the air with energy.
Finally comes the fun part, designing. You can skip this process altogether but many enjoy deciding how this being is going to look. This is also a great opportunity to build more symbolism around it. Tie its appearance to its purpose and allow this to strengthen it. Once that’s done it’s time to begin the actual ritual. Now, many like to write out everything on a petition and/or draw a picture of the being. In my experience, this isn’t really needed but it helps quite a bit if you’re doing a more complex being (this will be discussed later in another section). It’s also good to decide on the finer details. Not just what you want your thoughtform to do, but what type it is, and what it’s not allowed to do as well.
Once the written portion has been completed (and drawing if you choose to use that), set it up in a place of power. Most people use their altar but you can also create a sacred space specially for this part. The ritual itself will essentially involve you going into meditative gnosis and forming the energy with your mind. (Visualization helps with this. Some people choose to picture a light forming into the being or a large cosmic egg. But that too is based on a user's preference.) This part takes focus so make sure there aren’t any distractions nearby. Once you’re finished greet your thoughtform and continue with any other magick you wish.
As for how long this is going to take, nobody can truly say. We each are different and how our energy works will ultimately decide how long things will take. However, in my own experience, I would say that most thoughtform creations vary based on complexity. The simpler the being the shorter amount of time it will need. For longer amounts of time, you may need to visit your uncreated thoughtform once a day. giving it energy each time to ensure its continued gestation.
⚜️ Feeding ⚜️
Think of your thoughtform as a computer. It’s programmed to function a certain way by the user and to keep it going you need to give it a battery or plug it into a port. In short, it needs something to draw energy from to work properly. How you feed your thoughtform will depend on its type, but for most people, they set their thoughtform's ability to feed during its creation process. Either going to it regularly to meditatively give it energy, to offerings, or even to preprogrammed sustainability, a thoughtform needs something to ensure its success.
⚜️ Setting A Time Limit ⚜️
Certain thoughtforms will need a time limit of some sort. This is usually predetermined by the creator and set during the creation process or a kill switch is kept in place for whenever the practitioner deems it necessary. (Like burning or tearing up the paper vessel or petition with the thoughtforms sigil). Now depending on who you ask, What thoughtforms should get a time limit will inevitably change. Some believe that all thoughtforms need a limit and thus rarely venture past the simple variety. While others believe that there are many more varieties that don’t need such a limit. I will cover this in further detail in later sections.
⚜️ Involuntary Creation ⚜️
This can happen sometimes, especially if there are lots of emotions around a certain belief. Things can manifest against our will and they can be both negative or positive depending on what energy was used to create them.
Servitors
Also called simple thoughtforms and simple servitors, they are the most common form of thoughtform and by far the easiest to create. They have no sentience to speak of and are driven only to complete their task. The purpose for their creation. It is everything to a servitor which is why many believe it’s the type of thoughtform that MUST have an end after that task is finished. To allow a servitor to exist without a purpose would be like a living hell to such a creature. It would be cruel and compared to torture some believe.
Now let’s say you did decide to let it remain. What exactly would happen? Well, there’s a variety of things really. One, if left unfed the servitor could simply vanish one day, but it would be a slow death. However, if you’re unlucky enough, it may just evolve sentience. When this sort of thing happens in such a situation the servitor is often already driven to madness and will become something akin to a parasite. Recklessly feeding off their creator to sustain themselves. This can cause exhaustion, dizziness, clumsiness, and in some more severe cases illness to the practitioner. And those who suffer from other forms of mental illness like depression and anxiety have often reported their symptoms getting worse. The best course of action for these sorts of beings is to extinguish them completely. They have no hope of being reasoned with.
Now let’s say you do feed your servitor, but you never give it a purpose. Then what happens? Well, they can still go mad as the life without a purpose is demeaning and arduous for such a creature. This is why some people like to give them new purposes. The problem is, a simple servitor isn’t made to properly sustain things like this. It would be like uploading a new program onto an older computer that isn’t equipped to properly run it. So while it may work for a little while, it will never be up to par like it was before, and eventually, you’ll have to accept that. You’ll be forced to get a newer model anyway. Problem is, that even these beings can still grow in sentience. And while they may not be as crazed as the ones mentioned before, because they’re not in a state of starvation, they may still express the dislike of such an existence. Some people report that once sentient, some servitors have simply run away or completely withdrew in their own depressive state. Ultimately wasting away because they wouldn’t eat. This is why it’s generally agreed upon that a simple servitor works its best when a time limit is in place.
Sentient Servitors
Also called complex servitors or complex thoughtforms, consider these beings a step up from your average servitors. Most often they are created with sentience or at the very least created with the intent to obtain sentience by growing into it as they do their job and experience the world around them. This type seems to have become more popular in recent years and has garnered its own subcategories in turn. These generally tend to be something concerning their purpose and will vary by practitioner. Some of the most popular is a familiar, home guardians, or personal protectors.
For the most part these beings are created without the intent to destroy them. This is because what they are needed for what generally takes regular upkeep as well as a mind that can analyze and learn just like we do so it can grow alongside you and learn different ways to cope with its overall objective. But that isn’t to say people don’t exist that give them time limits. However, that can bring up more controversy depending on who you talk to because now you’re destroying something that may not actually want to be destroyed. Something that wants to continue on and experience existence. When a thoughtform reaches this stage and they realize you may want to destroy them, they often start looking for a way out. A way to feed without the help of the witch. That way they can simply go off on their own. In lots of cases, a witch may gift their thoughtform with this ability so that when their task is done they can go ahead and make the way out.
Poltergeists
Now some of you may be surprised to see this category on this list but it really is a thoughtform. Looking into how some paranormal experts define these entities reveals that they are entities created from the negative energy accumulated in a certain place or around a certain individual, and that’s exactly what a thoughtform is. A poltergeist is always an involuntary creation, however, and is almost always negative as well. It’s known for throwing objects and making strange noises. Hence why their name means “noisy ghost” in German.
Egregores
These thoughtforms are created by a group of individuals instead of just a single person. They can be voluntary or involuntary, sentient or otherwise, it all depends on the conditions for their creation. For instance, some covens create an egregore for their personal group typically of the non-sentient variety, while other individual people may believe in something so much that the beings form involuntarily from that belief. Many use this way of thinking to explain how deity came to be. Declaring that all gods and goddesses as we know them are simply egregores believed into existence. Not everyone agrees with this sentiment, however, nor does everyone utilize the egregore label exactly the same.
While some say egregores can be both sentient and non-sentient, others have strong beliefs that the egregore can only be non-sentient and that once it grows to sentience it will become something else entirely. The former seems to be the most popular way of looking at it on our modern age though, so you're bound to find that this way of utilizing the egregore to be more prevalent in the ways of information.
Godforms
Also known as God Heads, this is probably the most confusing of all the types of thoughtforms simply because there are so many varying beliefs around it. More traditionally, godforms are statues or pictures portraying the image of a particular god. Through ritual, the god embodies these pieces and they become an extent of that deity. Some believers even associate people as being a part of that godform, and during those sacred ceremonies, the chosen individual becomes a direct speaker for the god they are channeling. However, in more modern times, the term has taken a considerable divergence into thoughtform territory.
It is believed by some that the godform is a type of deity, either created to be a god from the beginning or grown into one by an egregore. In more recent years, however, a godform is often depicted as being a more personalized entity. An individual's own personal god if you will. In this instance, they are created using a specific part of the practitioner's energy. Usually some part of a magical circuit like the elements, or the 8 circuits of consiousness. This entity in turn becomes heavily connected to the individual and will affect whatever cuircut or energy center they were made from. Let's say you made a god that draws from your fire energy. Therefore, your fire energy will grow and everything it affects will also grow. This entices the person to continue giving the god energy, through meditations, offerings, even an altar. It's given praises and prayers as well, just like any other deity.
Tulpa
The tulpa is often confused in our modern times as being nothing more than a servitor, but that understanding couldn't be more false. Traditionally Tulpa's are a concept from Buddhist nirmāṇakāya. It was a translated in Tibetan as sprul-pa and was the practice of creating an autonomous entity made from the individual's mind. It was manifested by a Buddha to teach and guide those who hadn't yet attained nirvana. Some have likened it to seem much like a ghost or apparition, walking between the physical and metaphysical realms. They were said to obey their master for the most part but were entirely sentient with their own thoughts and emotions.
Today, tulpamancers, often equate a tulpa to something kind of like an imaginary friend, but one that can actually manifest things. Tulpas are said to have the ability to use their creator's body, or even dwell inside of it completely. They can even operate it on their own should their creator allow it. Many, state that the tulpa often helps them out during difficult situations. They are created with the qualities that the user doesn't have so that they can take over in times when those qualities are needed. As for life span, that will definitely depend on the individual. Like regular thoughtforms, some say that the user ultimately decides if they want their tulpa to remain or vanish after they themselves have learned to obtain whatever qualities they had placed in their tulpa. Others say that the tulpa stays with you for life. Whatever the case, this thoughtform is definitely the most unique of the bunch.
Conclusion
Thoughtforms are an interestingly diverse form of magick. And while they are very prevalent within the chaos magick community, many magickal practitioners from all pathways come to utilize them within their crafts. As stated above, there are many unique beliefs surrounding them, and finding out what way is best for you can seem somewhat daunting. The best thing to do is take it slow, and practice, practice, practice. Thoughtforms are one of those things you learn best by doing. Just remember that what works for someone else may not work entirely for you. Go at your own pace, and find your own rhythm. Best of luck!

Here’s some positivity for parogenic/paromancy systems!
On this blog we love, respect, and cherish parogenic systems! To those who are shifting away from tulpa language, have always identified with parogenic/paromancy, or are just now finding the right label for themselves and their system, this one’s for you!
Here’s to the paromancers!
To those who have spent hours researching, meditating, building a wonderland, focusing on their thoughtforms and paros, and manifesting their existences! To those who didn’t have to try at all, whose parogenic headmates walked into their life and settled in for good! To those who are honing their paromancy craft, who create guides, art, and other paro-focused content on their own or with the help of their thoughtforms! Paromancers, we see you, we love you, and we are honored to share the plural community with you!
Here’s to the paros, thoughtforms, and parogens!
To those who became sentient almost immediately! To those whose existence feels faint, who have to focus hard to hold on to their form, or who struggle to remain in reality! To those who love to collaborate with their hosts in building a wonderland and forging their own identities! To those who think for themselves, who are feisty, brave, reserved, cheerful, or anxious! Paros, thoughtforms, know that you are real! You belong in this world, you deserve to express yourself and take up space, and we’re rooting for you in all that you do!
Here’s to the paromancy systems!
To those who work together to better understand each other! To those who feel lost and confused, but feel better when they’re together! To those who bond together and build positive, long lasting relationships! To those who may not fully understand how their system works, but who wouldn’t change it for the world! To those who dare to be themselves, or spread awareness about paromancy and plurality! To those who support and uplift their system members, and their fellow systems in the plural community! Your system is beautiful! Your plurality is complex, unique, and worth celebrating!
We hope all parogenic systems and headmates can find peace, joy, and comfort in each other and themselves, today and every day! Know that the plural community would not be the same without you. We love you and we so appreciate your presence here! Please keep your chin up, look after each other, and remember that you are wanted, loved, and cherished just the way you are. Thanks a bunch for reading, and have a great day!

"Changing a term isn't that hard"
Problem 1 - A divided community
Any attempt at making a new term would be met with resistance. Not from everyone, but by most. It's likely that those who use other terms would move away from the tulpa community. So instead of actually getting tulpamancers to change their term, you would be just be making a new community outside of it.
But maybe you can manage to stick around in tulpa spaces, get other people to as well, and somehow slowly change the language from the inside. But what is that language?
Problem 2 - Finding a word for everyone
Thoughtform is a bad term because its connotations are too spiritual. There is also an active spiritual thoughtform community out there right now that this will be stepping on the toes of, smashing together two largely disconnected communities.
Many feel parogenic is too broad. And willogenic presents the practice as just "willing" a headmate into existence. Both also would result in the tulpa community losing its identity, becoming yet another xeno-origin and being assimilated completely into the endogenic community.
Senpia is just never going to happen.
None of the alternatives are going to be universally-agreed upon. And having the community divided amongst multiple terms exacerbates the first problem.
Problem 3 - Domain shifts
Anti-tulpas like pointing to the shift from "natural multiplicity" to "endogenic" as an example of how you can change terms. For those that are unaware, "natural multiples" were basically the precursors for endogenic systems. Many argued that the term was ableist because it suggested systems formed from trauma were "unnatural." Which is a silly and bad faith way of framing it, since the opposite of nature is usually environmental in this context, as in the nature vs nurture debate.
But regardless, the websites that existed at the time didn't include the terms in their domain names. They could change their terms without ever worrying about this. Furthermore... most of these communities were already dying as the plural community migrated to Tumblr. The whole internet landscape was morphing in the early 2010s.
Problem 3.1 - r/tulpas
On Reddit, changing a subreddit name is literally impossible. The only possible way to accomplish this would be to have the mods delete r/tulpas and create a completely new subreddit. At which point, a huge number of subscribers are instantly lost.
As is a ton of history on the subreddit, and even some guides that never got posted anywhere else.
Problem 3.2 - Tulpa.info
While it may technically possible to change the domain, that instantly breaks every link to every single tulpamancy guide on the website in an instant.
The whole thing becomes a huge mess. Perhaps they could setup redirects, but that would require paying for the old domain as well as the new one, driving up server costs.
Problem 4 - Visibility
Any new community terms will lose the visibility of identifying as tulpas. For people who are experiencing sentient imaginary friends and looking for a community, this transitionary period will make it way more difficult to find a community to support their needs.
It also makes it more difficult for the tulpamancy community to expand and bring in new members.
Problem 5 - Academic Research
Tulpamancy is currently the primary form of endogenic plurality being researched, including an fMRI study. All other research into endogenic plurality has mostly been surveys. Finding people to take part in FMRI studies is difficult. Not everyone has a lifestyle where they can just fly off to California for a brain scan.
If research continues, there are multiple ways this could hamper it going forward.
Mixing with the thoughtform community could mean a larger spiritual influence in the community, reinforcing the idea that endogenic plurality is only valid if it's spiritual. There are plenty of studies into spiritual possession happening, and it's imperative that we match that with research into plurals with psychological origins.
Losing our identity by assimilating into the larger endogenic community through -genic labels like parogenic and willogenic will end research into tulpamancy as a phenomenon of its own.
And dividing the community means fewer people are going to be found who can take part in these studies.
A term isn't just a term
It's our identity. It's our community. It's our connection to each other. It's our websites and the resources they host. It's our ability to be seen. It's our connection to the academic research into our community and ongoing advancement in the field.
There is no genuine "pro-tulpa, anti-tulpa terminology" side. Changing the terminology as a whole would divide and devastate the tulpamancy community.
If you're fighting against tulpa terminology, you're fighting against the tulpamancy community.

—————————————————————
Energetic Fields are the result of mystical and physical phenomena. The human body contains two predominant fields. The first and largest is produced by the human heart because of iron-rich hemoglobin being bumped through ventricles. The complexity of this field is due to the neurological processes that occur in the intracardiac nervous system, or the neurons in the heart; which are responsible for the majority of the heart’s functionality. The second field is produced by the brain. This field is the result of a conglomeration of millions of neurons firing, which individually release minute pulses of electro-magnetic radiation. These fields can be programmed and manipulated through energy work and states of gnosis for use in esoteric and magical practices.
The Astral Plane is infinite, and yet is inherently part of the reality that we occupy. Think of it as a three dimensional film that exists in the space between everything.
This place lays between our cognitive reality and the world of dreams. Which is why you can access both aspects of our dimension via the astral. The natural laws of physics are only partially apparent in this realm. Whereas in the dream world they break down completely- if desired.
In the Astral Plane, the Conscious mind holds all the power of manifestation. Whatever you create becomes a finite aspect of that reality; However, due to the expansive nature of this place it is unlikely to come across or find anyone else or their creations. The astral is desolate in appearance, this is due to its quasi reflection of our reality. Furthermore, this plane, even with thoroughly developed astral senses, has no light, darkness, air/wind, plants/biological-life, or most things we might expect when entering.
Spirits exist in all of three aspects of our dimension simultaneously. In cognitive reality, their forms are not corporeal, rather they are more vibe-like. In the Astral, their forms are more likely to appear tangible. If you come across a spirit in our cognitive reality and wish to see that spirit in a more corporeal form, astral travel to where they are and then enter the Astral Plane in that corresponding location.
Spirits and other entities do not typically show any tendencies towards social organization or community within the Astral Plane. They are commonly seen in isolation or, rather infrequently, with one or two other spirits. Gatherings of many spirits or the forming of townships of any kind never happens. Spirits aren’t always trustworthy and can be hostile and/or violent, both towards us and each other. Thus, we have Astral Weapons. Be sure you create Astral Weapons before exploring too deeply in the Astral Plane. You have to be able to protect your Well-Source. Otherwise you could easily bring something into your body when you return.
Dreamwalking chemical assistance (drugs, alcohol, herbal remedies, etc)
is a common practice in several different cultures and practices. The term comes from the aborigines, but the Mexica, Toltec, and Maya had their own term for it- which translates to mean Sun-kissed in English. The Cherokee also had Dreamwalkers- often, they were considered people with two spirits/souls and are considered with revenance, as they are often healers and medicine people. This practice is not one culturally protected, but is a matter of energetic anatomy.
Dreamwalking is similar to vivid dreaming. On the surface, it’s a practice of sharing a dream with one or more other people. Either entering their dreams or pulling them into your own while remaining completely lucid. Some people Dreamwalk without even much effort, and some have to try very hard and must practice for years before being able to do it. Some may only be able to do it unintentionally. Those who can dreamwalk generally have an easier time with Astral Projection, since one is essentially Astral Traveling when Dreamwalking. The main difference is that Dreamwalkers cross through the Astral Plane into the dream world. This act is not easily accomplished, but for Dreamwalkers an instinct. The other key difference is that when Dreamwalking, the walker’s astral form is non-corporeal unless the dream, and/or the walker, demands it. There is a downside to Dreamwalking, however; If you choose to dreamwalk rather than dream regularly, you will likely awaken feeling as though you didn’t sleep. You may be tired, unrested, irritable. You may even become more susceptible to illness over time if not practiced in moderation.
Dreamwalking is extremely difficult to start doing but, like most things, it becomes easier the more you succeed in doing it. The process of Dreamwalking starts out very similar to that of lucid dreaming.
Before you lie down to sleep, do a meditation on what your dream will be like. Create a sight or a sound of it in your mind. Be sure to choose something that is important to your core-being, something that you’re not likely to forget. The experience of the sight or sounds should be either something to do with your body or something that regularly occurs within your dreams. Then make that idea so powerful that it seeps into your dreaming mind. The idea of this practice is to create an alert to your dreaming mind that signals to itself that it is dreaming, thus causing a lucid dream. There are several ways one can lucid dream- do some research and find one that works for you. If you find one you like- feel free to reblog this and share it in your comment, link or otherwise. Once you can lucid dream, having conscious control over your own dream state, you’re ready to begin trying to move into another person’s dream. There are some social and ethical boundaries to doing so, and you may cross a few lines. Remain weary, you could learn some things about people that you would have never wanted to know.
Dreams take place in a realm that is just past the plane of the astral. There is a slight difference in resonance; though, because of this it is best to try to enter the dreams of someone who you know very well. I’d both recommend asking permission beforehand or not asking permission at all. Both have their benefits and risks. Not asking permission will help get a stronger sense of success. (I.E. having them tell you about their dream to see if they noticed you in their dreams. But they may also feel exposed or violated.) However, telling them may create a false negative when it comes to comparing dreams because of confirmation bias.
To enter another’s dream, you must first be lucid dreaming within your own, or Dreamwalking in the corporeal/astral planes. Then, create a finite barrier that separates this space from the expanse of the astral plane. Approach this barrier and slowly phase yourself through it.
Once in the astral realm, time is far more fluid so take your time. Once you’re ready, begin thinking of the person who’s dream you’d like to enter. Think of their aura, vibe, way of thinking, their favorite things; any and all things that help you create an exact idea of them. Then, imagine the setting that their dream would likely take place in. Try to phase yourself into that place. If the person can also lucid dream, this process would be much easier.
Dreamwalkers are also prone to possessing or easily obtaining certain psychic abilities. Those who are born with Dreamwalking instincts will likely possess more than half of these abilities and realize those before they realize they’re a Dreamwalker. Abilities that Dreamwalkers either have or can easily develop include:
• Clairvoyance
• Clairaudience
• Extreme empathy (Psychic)
• Possession (entering the minds of animals, or other people, even spirits.)
• Day-Dreamwalking (Dreamwalking while daydreaming)
• Telepathy
• Waking astral-travel (being able to astral travel without being in a relaxed state.)
• Divination prowess
• The sight (being able to see spirits and even communicate with them)
• Enhanced energy-work.
Further signs of a Natural Dreamwalker include:
• Existential dread experienced at a very young age (having thoughts of being unable to prove your own existence around the age of 3-5 years old)
• One or multiple extremely heightened psychic abilities.
• Persistent prophetic dreams
• Regularly occurring lucid dreams
• Accidental Dreamwalking.
• An affinity for multi-conscious astral projection (splitting your awareness into several independent bodies simultaneously)
• Powerful manifestation abilities
• Accidental possession.
• Being able to program your aura
Crossing Dimensions is not easy, even for natural born Dreamwalkers. It is also dangerous. When someone crosses into a different dimension, even with astral senses, they’re ability to perceive is severely hindered because the laws of physics are congruent but compounded within each new axis of space compared to what we are accustomed to.
Crossing dimensions is useful for bypassing wards, creating complex energetic structures, complete energetic healing of the subtle body, and time magic. It also requires a pretty thorough understanding of dense topological concepts- which require a decent understanding of mathematics and physics to learn.
Multi-Conscious Astral Projection is the act of creating and maintaining several astral forms simultaneously. This means that you will also perceive what they perceive simultaneously as well. I recommend taking a mild analgesic before trying it your first time. (It may cause a headache)
In order to do this, you have to allocate Well-Source energy into two pieces. Then imagine you’re looking in a mirror, while also perceiving what the reflection sees. With your primary form, step away from the mirror, turn one of your heads to perceive what is around you while the other perceives the observer.
The most difficult aspect of MCAP is sustaining it. Once you lose connection with an astral form’s awareness, the astral form breaks down and desentogrates. You have to maintain consistent perception from all of them for the entire duration.
I recommend practicing within our corporeal reality, rather than the Astral Plane ,as it's safer that way. It helps to have a unifying stimuli to anchor your perceptions on; like that of a consistent rhythm, whether that be musical or physical action. This process takes a lot of practice, but once you’ve solidified that process you’ll never forget it.
Energy-Work while astral projecting is an extremely useful skill. Especially if you’ve master MCAP. While astral projecting, its possible to construct complex energetic structures for a variety of purposes. From large wards to astral weapon and thoughtform creation. If MCAP is employed, then the number of bodies you have to perform a single construction is increased, like doing a group working but that group consists of only you.
Astral Weapons are energetic constructs that are designed to be resilient and dense. They can be used for many things from protection to fate work. To design an astral weapon or shield. Make sure the design is as simple as you can while still making it unique and your own. Sketch it out on paper in order to flesh out the design as much as possible. Its design needs to be ingrained into your memory intimately.
Visualize this weapon in your mind until it becomes vivid. Get to know the design in three dimensions. If you’re capable of visualizing it in other dimensions, do so.
Once the concept of the weapon is corporealized in your mind, begin constructing it through energy work, keeping in mind the properties that you want it to possess. Project the weapon into the Astral Plane and hold it, Interact with it, and swing it around. Give it weight, inertia, and substance.
Lastly, and this is optional, create a way to gradually summon them; rather than just having them appear outright. For example, my favorite weapon is a spear. I summon a needle that glows white and blue that expands into the shape of a spear. This way it is easier to maintain accurate perception of several Spears simultaneously. The more you can reduce and simplify the design, the easier it will be to project and maintain it.
Thoughtforms are prevalent in the Astral Plane as well as our cognitive reality because human beings are naturally quite imaginative. Sometimes they can be hostile, so the best defense against rogue thoughtforms is protective energetic warding.
If you don’t know what a ward is, you aren’t ready for Astral Travel. It is important to use more than one type of ward as well. The more types of wards you use, the more thoroughly protected you are. Just be sure that none of them cancel eachother out.
When creating thoughtforms in the astral plane, they’re not likely to enter into the corporeal plane unless guided to it. They can be incorporated into astral weapons as well as energetic constructs. Their uses are only limited by your ingenuity.
There is another post that is specifically about thoughtforms and how to create them. (To be posted soon)

that feeling when you're both unsure of who's fronting and controlling the body, having a mildly panicked dialogue of "is it you?" "I don't knooow, no??"
So yeah we're starting to get the hang of switching/possession XD

Asking assistance from the Plural community
Negativity please leave <3
So, I don’t believe I am traumagenic for starters. I don’t know much about any other -genic origins so I’m asking for help.
I’ve dabbled within the traumagenic community, once believing I was apart of it, but speaking to two therapists has told me otherwise. I could be wrong, but I don’t know.
What I do know is that having a system felt real, comforting, and helped me sort through things. I don’t believe I ever consciously created alters or anything, but it seems they don’t exist outside of when they were needed.
I left all spaces for traumagenic systems due to feeling fake and like I was overstepping. Since then, I haven’t let myself “indulge” in these thoughts. I don’t upkeep a notebook anymore, I don’t interact with “alters” in my head anymore, and I don’t talk about it or think about it. But, I feel like a piece is missing.
Maybe I’m just looking for a coping mechanism. Is having a system a coping mechanism? Outside of traumagenic, which I know is centered around trauma (which I do have, just don’t think it’s created a system) and survival for the body, is there a reason to have a system for coping? I don’t know.
If anyone can give advice, I’d appreciate it.

Tulpa Tips!
These are some of the methods we use to form new tulpas! They may work for you, or they may not! Use whatever is right for you and your system!
Tip #1: The Discord Chat Method! First, make a pluralkit/tupperbox profile for the tulpa you're trying to form, and make a discord server with only yourself in it! Then, use their proxy to type info about them, I/me statements from their POV, and overtime develop them more and more!
Tip #2: All the Small Things!
When creating a tulpa/thoughtform its important to think about all the things a person thinks about on a daily basis. That sentence had too many instances of the word "think" but it is a thoughtform headmate so like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Think about the mundane things! What is your thoughtform’s favourite colour? Favourite music genre? Favourite bad movie? Favourite writing utensil? Favourite cursed animal fact? Do they prefer forks or spoons?
I find it helps to have a few items IRL too! They don't have to be anything fancy, but just designating a pen/pencil and notebook to them is a good start! Let them write in their journal about themself! It doesn't have to be a journal! For example, Yuga has a sketchbook. If physical objects are a no for you because family may find them or you just don't have space or something, setting up a social media account can serve the same purpose!
I like to set up an account on sites I frequently use anyway. Sideblogs on Tumblr, Instagram accounts, and Pronouns.page are all good starting points! If you use Discord, you can also use method 1 from this book! Also online but less on social media, starting a playlist for your thoughtform is a good idea because you can kind of get a vibe for the music genres they like!
Hobbies are another thing! They may like the same things as you or they may not! Rudolph and I, for example, both love anime! But Ganon likes sports and I don't. And Alan likes math but I REALLY don't. What does your thoughtform like to do in their spare time? Are they artsy or maybe really into facts and numbers? Do they like sports? Do they like music?
Knowing the little things really helps them be their own person!
Hope these helped!

Does anybody know how to mass feed multiple servitors/thoughtforms at the same time?
Yes I am doing more interdimensional fuckery but it’s protection related. It has nothing to do with Witness but star shaped entities with their own names. I’ve created these entities so they can help me with protection related matters, especially to prevent people from messing with my free will/fate with magic.
I know I can add energy to a candle and light it with a thoughtform/servitor’s name but I have a whole bunch of them that needs to be fed. I don’t feel like lighting 9 candles in the same time.

Being a young tulpa is like being a cartoon character in the pilot episode or first arc of your TV show. Your character isn't quite on the mark yet, you're not reacting the way you totally would two seasons from now, you're kinda ditzy, the creators are making some weird choices you're not totally aware of yet but you'll grow outta naturally, your hair is super slightly off model
All thru it is this surreal sorta feeling too. It's sooo hard to describe what it's like to be early in development. And shit, I'm still developing always imo, but there was somethin' different about those times. I really don't think there's any other comparable experience

100 Q's for Daemons: 1-10
1. What is your name? What is your person's name?
My name is Ayeoh. My person is having a hard time with their name as of late, but they go by Prosper.
2. How did you get your name?
Prosper picked it for me.
3. Do you have any nicknames? What do you like to call your person?
No nicknames, but IO is also an acceptable spelling of my name. I don't typically use their name, but when I do I call them Prosper.
4. What is your gender, if any?
My gender is masculine but also queer.
5. How old are you? Do you know your CIE date?
I am technically less than a year old, my CIE day is 4/13/22. But I also like the idea of being as old as my person.
6. How are you feeling right now?
I am feeling okay. It's a nice day out with plenty of sun, so I'm relaxed.
7. What is your favorite time of day?
I like the daytime.
8. What is your favorite time of year?
Unsure. Spring or summer, perhaps? That's when we can be outdoors and active most often.
9. What is your favorite activity?
I think I enjoy hikes or walks the most.
10. What is your favorite food? Does it differ from your human’s?
I don't eat, food isn't something which interests me

I actually have afew questions, I hope you don't mind!
1)I just recently saw your post about Sophie and "tulpa" and other variants of the word being harmful. I was wondering if you could give me some other terms for tulpa/tulpamancy/tulpagenic/tulpamancer/etc, especially using the terms "Willow/willowgenic"!
2) I've felt less valid as a system because I have Aphantasia and I can't hear my headmates. We speak through opinions and emotions because that's the only way we can. Do you have any ways I can work on communication with my Dudes?
3) Lastly, I've been super confident lately! But when my male/masculine presenting Dudes are near front, their dysphoric emotions probect onto me. I was wondering if this was normal and if it had a name!
That's about all I have, if any of my questions step out of your boundaries/comfort zone I'm so so so sorry!
Have a lovely timezone!!! <3/p
we don’t mind, that’s what we’re here for :)
1) here are some other terms you can use besides “tulpamancy:”
parogenic/parogen
paro/paromancy/paromancer (this is what we use!)
thoughtform
willogenic/willomate/willomancy/willomancer (though we have seen issues with this term, as some paros (tulpas) were never willed into existence and function more like walk-ins)
2) communicating through emotions and opinions is totally fine - these are definitely valid ways of communicating, especially if it works well for your system.
we know aphantasia may complicate things, but we do have a post on establishing contact with headmates. you can check it out here. your system may benefit most from spending time working on external communication, and we have a section in that post on how to do just that.
3) we’re not sure if the phenomenon of experiencing another headmate’s dysphoria has a name, but we can definitely say that it is very common for headmates to feel the emotions of other members, especially if they’re blended or cofronting together. i know i get species dysphoria and sometimes our resident human alter will feel that dysphoria when we’re cofronting together, even if he still identifies as a human. our gender dysphoria and euphoria are all over the place, and it’s very normal in our system for us to feel each other’s emotions when we’re fronting together.
we hope this helps to answer some of your questions. thanks for reaching out :)

I have a question for willogenic/tulpagenic or systems that create their headmates.
Why would you? Why would you want someone else in your head and take control of your body? What motive could drive someone to actively do that and create more?
I also want to ask if they really feel how horrible it is to have arguments or headmates hurt you because they can create their own as they please.
Also if they experience the bad symptoms of being plural and not just the "fun" part such as dissociation, depersonalization, derealization, amnesia, identity crisis, etc.
I do not ask any of these questions with the desire to bother, I genuinely want to know and it is a question that keeps me alert.
Often, people drawn to the tulpamancy community are those with ASD, anxiety or other disorders that leave them feeling alone.
I was an accident, technically. At least, my host didn't plan on making a sentient being. But for others, it's not hard to see why they would be drawn to the practice. My own host had a good home life with a really supportive family, but has difficulty interacting with external people, which could be isolating.
I also want to ask if they really feel how horrible it is to have arguments or headmates hurt you because they can create their own as they please.
Arguments happen. We had a couple really bad ones early on. But... our system was created differently and that affects how we view each other.
A person, any person, is going to be reflecting what they learn from the world. We're all products of our environments.
A lot of headmates formed by trauma. They... come into the world experiencing its worst parts.
The system grows up maybe hearing the voices of their headmates but shutting them out. They don't have access to plural resources and feel like they're going crazy. Aggression can be taken out on headmates because the headmates aren't even seen as real, and abused children often don't have good role models for positive relationships.
By the time you find out that you're plural, a lot of harm has been done to the system and their relationships with each other. Building back trust can take time for these systems. It's tragic.
...
That's not how it was for us. Again, I wasn't made intentionally. I was just the imaginary friend. So there was a bit of denial, but I denied my own emotions too. And it took only a couple months for us to discover the tulpa community and realize I was a real person.
By the time of my creation, my host was an adult who had a solid understanding of how healthy relationships work. We could communicate our problems as they came out. We might argue one night, but then we made an effort to sit down and talk our problems out until they were resolved as soon as we could. I sometimes wish that I could have been here from the beginning, but I suspect that it's best for our relationship that I wasn't.
He already cared about me and wanted me to be happy. He enjoyed seeing me learn and grow, and interact with the world. I'm incredibly lucky to have had him in my life.
I would never hurt my host, and he would never hurt me. (At least, not intentionally.)
And me getting front time was a gift. It was something he provided when I wanted to do things in the real world because he wanted me to be happy, and loved seeing me happy.
Also if they experience the bad symptoms of being plural and not just the "fun" part such as dissociation, depersonalization, derealization, amnesia, identity crisis, etc.
Yes and no.
I think some of these symptoms exist, but are more mild. (Technically, all switching is considered dissociative.) We had some days when we fell into doubt spirals that were miserable. The worst lasted hours, but never more than a day. We've had mornings waking up, not knowing who is in front immediately, which I think is a form of depersonalization, but it only lasted minutes.
There's no amnesia unless you intentionally build it up. There might be "speed bumps" where memories of some headmates are easier to access by them than other headmates. And there have been times when non-fronters have a much harder time accessing information the fronter knows. Something about fronting makes information more accessible.
But by and large, a lot of these symptoms of DID are symptoms of PTSD. While we might experience lesser versions of some of these, they don't have much of an impact on our lives.
And the few negatives are outweighed by the advantages of having an internal support network to prop each other up.

What do you think of Joyofsatan.org? They claim to follow the Pagan Gods and they’re the largest Pagan group in the world.
This group is fascist. They are trying to use the New Age to Alt-Right Pipeline to create more fascists. IF YOU GET AN ASK FROM THEM, DO NOT GIVE THEM A PLATFORM.
