Here is how I would fix Happily Ever After to actually make it better and I promise this is my last post on the subject. My only assumption is that it cannot be Wishes 2.0.

Intro: Intro stays the same. I’d have gotten maybe a different narrator but it’s such a small part of the show I won’t really complain.

Wishes: Unfortunately since I can’t Wishes 2.0 this shit I can’t use my shit. That being said, you can easily pick a nice sounding quote from the dozens of Disney quotes on Wishes, possibly even one said by Mickey or Walt himself, but if not then take a good quote from Wishes with a small orchestral When You Wish Upon a Star in the background, followed by orchestral versions of Down In New Orleans to translate with either the same riff the actual show uses or some other translation into Part of Your World and then Out There (with original projections don’t recycle them from Disney Dreams I noticed). Both of which orchestral.

Adventure (Which I want to note I didn’t even know was a different section before looking it up): Start with Merida’s speech on adventure, then orchestral Chase the Wind which could probably transition reasonably into Just Around the Riverbend (which isn’t even in the show, Pocahontas gets nothing ever) and then finally transitioning into How Far I’ll Go to close out the section, just orchestral because have I mentioned I’m not doing anything but orchestrals in my ideal version?

Friendship: Mostly keep it the same? I’d just remove the lyrics from the songs we have (Trashin’ the Camp, That’s What Friends Are For, and (unfortunately) Friend Like Me) and put some Lilo and Stitch projections in since honestly another good movie that got no attention in this show and that’s really it for changes.

Love: Olaf’s quote can stay since it really is a great quote. Then orchestra that version of Love is an Open Door, Can You Feel the Love Tonight goes at it does, orchestral You’ll Be in My Heart and maybe do the build into a second repeat of the chorus like the build up kinda like the build up into Beauty and the Beast in Wishes? Because that’s what’s going through my head. Anyways. So build up into the second, then transition a Whole New World into an orchestral See the Light. And when the two lanterns hit the top do a nice little callback to Celebrate by releasing two fireworks.

Adversity: Change nothing of the first section, then after Maleficent shows up have Hellfire (orchestral climactic edition, possibly with a full chorus) play as fire engulfs the castle. Show the animated character silhouettes, shift back to Maleficent and Phillip and Maleficent being stabbed. Back to what normally happens.

Triumph: ...Literally just change the rendition of Go the Distance to something orchestral. That’s all you gotta do. This is actually a genuinely powerful opening with wonderful projections. I just hate the singer’s voices. ewe

Finale: Wow the narrator really does bug me. Anyways, the finale actually feels kinda weak compared to Wishes? Maybe make that a bit stronger somehow, but it’s technically fine the way it is.

Not gonna claim to be an expert, but full orchestral score>lyrical piece in any show you want to inspire emotion in. What made Wishes wonderful was the simplicity of the orchestral score with minimal vocalists outside of the intro and finale, only singing When You Wish Upon a Star to tie the movements together in a spectacular fashion. This show could’ve benefited from having the Disney character speeches tied in with mostly orchestral rather than lyrical, with the simplicity in the soundtrack allowing for a more cohesive soundtrack resulting in more unified movements and a more unified show. That doesn’t mean I think the show is bad, some of the things I mentioned changing I actually liked (Friend Like Me for instance, which used Robin Williams’s voice) but I think it would’ve been more in tune with what made Wishes magic besides you know the little kid singing and the message it carried, and it would’ve allowed for the fun soundtrack of most of this show to remain in tact, keeping its own strengths strong as well, amounting to both a worthy successor for Wishes and a show with an entirely unique identity.
