#omori au #sunnys sonata au #literally the only reason i haven't posted anything about the au in a while is just because I'm losing it over every single character #and most of them aren't even important/canon to omori canon or they just have a miniscule appearance/role #there are so many side characters and jokes With these side characters it's not even funny anymore #i dragged characters from completely different universes that have a tiny tie to omori into the sonata verse bc i thought it would be funny #Little Jack from the old OLD Halkenna verse is in this verse- Omoboy is in this verse- there are characters that had NO screentime in here #there are plots for fights that aren't on the main storyline. there are alternate endings that were literally never touched on anywhere #not even in the disc server where i jot down my ideas #i have aus of aus and literally for what #honestly I think the funniest bits of side plot I've developed have to do with rococo having to deal with sbf making summoning circles #either that or just the clone hearts all roaming around the world being a weird family and also being an obstacle to the main group #everything else is just very scattered development changes and add-ons to characters i already had planned. both main and side characters #Shattered Omori got a very. dark? design change. Hero and Aubrey were both slightly tweaked. The Twins's fused form was HEAVILY updated #that fused form had a lot of notes added to it.. how their emotions work. how they speak. their height. abilities. basically everything #i. actually just have a lot of notes for the twins lol #what can i say. i think they're neat

y’know generally i try to limit colour palettes to as few colours as possible to make things more cohesive but despite my best efforts only jay ended up being able to stick to that </3

ANYWAYS here’s the as-of-right-now fully updated designs for these dickheads. these will no doubt undergo even more tweaking as i draw them more but this is a start i guess. also pls open the pictures to look at them properly i worked so hard LOL

he jingles when he walks. somehow he’s still stealthy. i do not know how

kept the platinum ring that bonded him to gillion in the block! because hey he doesn’t really have a reason to take it off (and it’s a nice reminder of how much gill cares about him, and how far their friendship has come since that ice arena)

his tattoos shift and flicker like actual flames, and sometimes (harmless, purely aesthetic) sparks fly off them when he’s excited

i just think smoke coming out of his mouth when he’s angry would be cool :]

chipped teeth from biting rocks and coins all the time :/

he has scars from the red lightning, they’re just mostly contained to his back and shoulders. they’re a similar red to his coat even once they’ve healed

gillion —

the tail sleeve thing is so he can rest it on the ground without damaging his scales, he doesn’t usually wear it when he’s just on the ship because the wood is soft enough that it’s usually fine + it can hinder swimming a bit. it’s mostly meant for places where there’s cobblestone or gravel streets and such. i think his armour would probably have a version that looks similar but covers the whole tail minus the fins, maybe with some armour plating of its own. i didn’t draw it because there wasn’t any room lol

his scars from the lightning are pink mostly because red stood out too much tbh. they softly glow in the dark the same as his coral and the pink parts of his fins

also kept his ring! his hands aren’t really made for jewellery, though, because the webbing means it won’t sit very secure on his finger. so he keeps it on the same chain as the necklace he got from aslana to keep it safe

tried to make him look a bit bulkier and more his age than in my original design? i feel like i was leaning too much into the naivety and. shortness. originally lol. he also has thicker eyebrows now and i’m still trying to decide how i feel about them but i think? i like it? i don’t tend to give many character thin eyebrows so it could’ve been a unique thing for him but alas

i think i made the sword too small but like ignore that

also forgor to include pretzel </3 that’s okay though she can get her own design sheet later. she’s special like that

i believe in tall jay supremacy

blue magic! i was considering gold but that’d look a bit more like a canary than i wanted for her wings so. blue jay :]

her hair is supposed to look kinda like fire to mimic her dad ! kinda showing that even if she runs from her family and the navy they’ll always be a part of her. and also i just like drawing messy hair

i gave her sturdier gloves just because i feel like it fits her better. also changed up the shirt to more of a button up solely because i don’t like tank tops very much LOL

i did WANT to make her outfit a bit flashier to match the boys better but i couldn’t quite figure out where to Put the flash. maybe that’ll come later, the way the story’s going i might get to design some cool prosthetics for her or something

overall —

because there’s just so many fucking colours i triiied to add at least one or two colours from each of them into the others designs. jay has her necklace with each of their main colours on it, her wings are the same blue as gillions eyes, her jacket and right eye are the same dark blue as destiny’s blade, her hair is the same orange as the lighter part of chips tattoos. chip has a dark green sash under all the belts, the same as the hilt of destiny’s blade. they all use the same shades of black, gold, and brown

the only real exception is gillion doesn’t have anything from the other two because he has Such a specific colour palette and he already had so much going on as-is orz jay was obviously the easiest to do this with because she has both warm and cool colours in her palette by default lol (and i did her design last, so that helps)

and bonus because i got to the musical eps nearing the end of this drawing and was like. if this was a pic it was taken 3 seconds before jay snapped out of her disassociation [of which naturally comes from being trapped on a ship with men] and threw up finger guns just to piss chip off. his like full body disgust at it in ep 23 sent me into STITCHES theyre so effortlessly funny

there's two versions, the sorted and tagged ones that includes only posts of interest (Tumblr_Asks.json has 2.9k entries, Tumblr_Texts.json has 433, including blog stories which I've made into PDFs here) and has been mostly fully tagged for all the relevant characters (search by their most recognisable callsigns/hero names)/things (still a few stray duplicate posts in there).

the archived versions include ALL original text posts (441 - i was much less aggressive with sorting text posts given there's way less of them) and ask posts (just under 5.8k posts) for people who want to look up anything in there which aren't fully tagged.

may be updated as i prune some more! (no tag dictionary in there yet but i'm working on it w/ so uh. have fun figuring out what the definitions of the tags are in the meantime lol).

edit 28/11/2023: updated the ask files a bit more + tweaked some tags. going forwards i'll upload new versions as appends rather than replacing.

Bonus happy Leaf bec I felt bad about only drawing her sad.

There are only a few very slight changes to this design, I just wanted to tweak it a bit! After rereading Po3 I was reminded how after TNP Leaf actually becomes a lot more jaded and combative. She lost her kits, her life is being absolutely wrecked by dead cats and she's exhausted. I really enjoy older Leaf, and her more emotional and angry outbursts, she can actually be very mean lol. Sooo I wanted to draw her older, at more of a Po3 age, she's got tired eyes now.

I really adore your ocs and I was hoping to know more about them a little mostly spunko and hokey, do you have any facts about any tiny facts about them at all?

OUGH I'm glad u asked that here I feel awkward typing paragraphs on IG for some reason.... They're for a comic idea I have called Feeding Frenzy I was gonna include a mini zine of it in my last store update but I couldn't finish it on time rip

It takes place in the early 80s because Spunko is based on 80s newave underground comix, design wise he's more specifically inspired by Zoo-Lou from Roachmill and Marvel's Slapstick and then Hokey is supposed to look like a faux Hanna-Barbera character

-They're married or sometimes just friends; whatever is most convenient for the plot because logic like that is Funnie

-Hokey assures everyone he's a beloved cartoon character but no one remembers his shitty cartoon show (I don't know if it's that noticeable I draw him with thicker outlines + no hatching so he looks more 2d than the other characters)

-The other parasite I've posted before (her name is Marzda) is the only real antagonist, the other characters are just people that Spunko royally pissed off

-^^^She's a villain because parasites also kill other parasites. They all have different unique abilities; Marzda can use her hair/ears as tentacles, Spunko doesn't seem to have any. I've a had a few friends who thought Spunko's ears were pigtails lol

-Parasites can only die from starvation. WIP but the comix have a lot of senseless cartoony gore so Spunko never dies from being brutally cut in half <3

-They own a defunct ice cream truck.. Spunko doesn't have a driver's license and Hokey probably needs a booster seat

-Spunko and Hokey live in an abandoned bunker in the sewers

-They met when Hokey fell off a truck taking him to the slaughterhouse and his stupid arse rolled into Spunko while he was trying to steal the door off of a cop car

-Neither of them really have hobbies (Hokey's only interest is being around Spunko) so they either watch tv or steal gas station hot dogs. Spunko is good at drawing but he never does it...He likes going to concerts after he ties Hokey to a bike rack outside the venue

-Parasites can shapeshift to lure humans. Spunko can too but he rarely does

-Hokey wasn't even the main character in his show, I still need to cleanup my drawings of the guy he was co-star to though. Fun fact Hokey's last name is Hogwash but he was always credited as "the other guy" in the cartoon lol

ALSO I swear this is Spunko's permanent design lmao I kept slightly tweaking stuff for awhile. This is Hokey's final color palette too I have a habit of making small changes to color palettes that aren't even noticeable

OK so I've been struggling with wanting to post my art more often but I keep getting sidetracked and updating old designs but I finally have something to share

I'm pretty happy with this, i tried to do more "harsh" highlights cause why not. This also made me want to figure out Cybertronian food, maybe I'll do that eventually

This one isn't as clean cause i wasn't very sure about it and didn't feel like finishing it so I decided to keep it sketchy for fun, I think it's ok.

Also both has slightly updated designs, minor tweaks for Augment while SoundBoom gets a bit more, also I hate drawings vehicles but I like how SoundBoom's alt-mode turned out

And side note, I originally made SoundBoom as a stand alone character but I actually made him an entire band they played with. I'm kinda playing with the idea of updating the rest but the original designs were so plain I have to basically completely overhaul them so that'll either be fun or Hellish lol

So here's the Red Army!! Or Red Legion, or Red ....whatever name they come up with for the day. Don't let the name fool you, they're anything but a serious army. They're just a bunch of idiots trying to take over the world. And failing miserably.

Red Leader is well. The Leader lol

multiple people have mistaken Tord for the leader, because of the horns on the helmet, but it couldn't be further from the truth:

that's his brother, Dominik!

Tord's older brother, almost 40, founder of the army along side Yanov (his and Tord's adopted brother in my hcs lol) and Paul. He seems like a cold blooded leader at first glance, but he really is just as much of a goofball as his brother: he got the idea of creating the army from anime he used to watch as a kid, go figure. He wanted to create a strong group of vigilantes that would bring order to the world!..and he. Kinda failed but it's okay! Yeah, he's a fucking weeb just like Tord. and also a brony, you know. Tord designed his uniform, he specifically wanted it to look as intimidating as possible so enemies could be scared of him. Going as far as adding a voice changer. Also, dont ask him where most of the army funds went. No he wont tell you. no. shut up it's not anime figurines. and he may or may not asked Tord to build robots of their waifus. lord-

Tord is a general! nepotism moment; however, he really couldn't care less about his status, as he just acts like he's the army mechanic/scientist/robot expert, you name it: he hides in his own laboratory, creating robots, weapons, and little robot companions- and waifubots and clonebots. Dont ask him what the clone bots are, but he sure loves scaring Yuu with those: robots that will immediately take their place if something happens to them.

Paul is basically just a grade lower Tord, and he acts like he's the actual general, as Tord is too busy in his own world to even care, and also lets him do whatever he wants. Paul is basically an honorary general and used to be Yanov's co pilot. That's before he broke his arm was deemed unavailable, and then changed his role. Now he's Pat's co pilot. He cried for an entire night after getting the news that he had to be with a newbie. But said newbie quickly warmed up to him, anyway! He's. always. constantly busy. even when he doesn't have a flight programmed, he always has to find a duty to do in the army. Chill a bit, dude.

Yanov USED to be a pilot. One of the most trusted pilots, calm, chill and collected. But also LOVES to witness chaos. He broke his arm in the stupidest way possible (probably falling down the stairs). Just after that, he decided to then step down as a pilot and become a medic. And considering his gentle mannerism and carefulness, maybe that's the best. Aaaand the army needed more medics. He loves his new occupation!

That's where Patryck comes in! He's a novice pilot, freshly recruited from the army. He didn't even actually have a plane driving training, nobody knows how he got in there. (Actually. it was desperation. They NEEDED another pilot and he seemed so eager to accept his role. He asked it himself to become one.) Well, Paul was assigned as his supervisor AND co pilot to his dismay. Like previously said, Paul cried to Yanov and to himself the entire day after the news. Please anyone BUT THE NEWBIE. Nobody knows Yanov made this choice. Despite his...rocky, beginnings. He's a ..somewhat great pilot! You know, despite the montly 4 crashed planes. That's also where most of the funds go. He's forbidden from going anywhere near the weapons depot, especially after he gets energy drinks. It happened once and half of the base exploded. Rocket launchers disappeared. Patryck what dID YOU DO.

Yuu is the uhh.. weapons guy? He's in charge of well. Keep the weapons depot in check. But it's a mystery how he manages to keep this role, as he always ends up letting someone (PAT) blow it up with the bombs in there anyways. He's also a great marksman! incredibly useful unit in battle. It's kinda like Patryck, no one exactly knows how he got there, he's such a scaredy cat, always alerted by anything that happens.

Finally gave Sev's ref an update! I actually still like her previous one, so this one stayed pretty similar, but I've done enough little tweaks to her design lately that I wanted to make a new one!

Biggest changes: She has an actual rabbit nose now! Her markings have changed very slightly; mostly her tan ones, finally figured out the scar on her left hind leg, and gave her the whiskers she deserved. I also added some other info like her limp and her Tapetum luidem because I think it's interesting lol.

My design ideas for phantom ghoul and aurora ghoulette, plus my sona design there’ll be explanations under the cut

Aurora

Air and quintessence hybrid, looks mostly air though

Her hair is like the actual aurora borealis mixed with princess aurora’s hair

The pink and blue streaks and feathers are what the northern lights could be, also the make it pink make it blue scene lol

She is turquoise due to that being the major color of the lights

She’s so pretty:], but I might change up her design a bit

Phantom

His arms and end of tail are see through to his bones, but still has flesh n stuff, these glow as well

He’s more indigo purple than aether’s violet purple ( I hc them as brothers)

His vitiligo covers his face similar to the phantom of the opera, and it goes to his right horn and some of his hair, also that eye has a harder time seeing

Wolf cut kinda hair, ends get kinda wispy and have stars

Fae (my persona :p)

Multi ghoul; I hc that being a multi ghoul is a genetic mutation causing barbed horns, fluffy tails, and quintessential ghoul like ears. But have carry over traits from what their original elements is supposed to be ( e.i, if a multi born from fire ghouls would have more fire ghoul traits)

Is deceptive, from afar looks like a regular quintessential ghoul

Similar wispiness in hair

Considered strange to have similar completion of fair skin to humans

The Trix’s retouched Harmonix and Sirenix! Not a lot to say here, they were mostly updated to go along with the new design guidelines and their Sirenix itself only really got a color and hairstyle tweak. This did make me realize I might have to update Tritannus again tho and like. a. But yeah, that’s about it for these lol
