It's another similarity I'm thinking about that both Ruby and Oscar are sort of living in the shadows of the people who came before them. Only in Ruby's case, she's trying to be like Summer, but she needs to let that go and try to be herself. Man I wish dsmp was like a cartoon or something so that when the people behind it turn out to be shitty you can just look at cartoon characters instead of the people. Sucks hard bc the dsmp was so crazy awesome narrative-wise especially the depiction of abuse and trauma from tommys point of view or quackitys storyline. If only they all worked together to make a complete storyline. It was a shitstorm but the sun shone through in some parts and I wish I could enjoy it without feeling ashamed
