I've been lurking in the Obey Me! community for about two years now, but I decided to try interacting instead of shyly hiding in the corner like the anxiety-ridden mess I am.

Who am I?

You can call me whatever you want. Lambs, Cal, Al, I'm fine with anything. (Seriously, a kid once called me penis-vagina and I was fine with it.) My pronouns are he/him and I'm a gay/queer polyam aroace spec. Mammon is my favourite.

I generally create content for my two MCs, Al and Audrey, as well as their supporting characters, but I'm working on a couple of general imagines as well. (Always gender neutral, unless they're specifically related to gender identity.)

I'm open to asks and DMs. I just might not respond immediately. Also requests, I would be very honoured to receive a request.

Seven dates, seven brothers. An exploration of the seven deadly sins and how they manifest for each of the brothers... in my headcanon, at least.

A working-class, magicless, white male is chosen to be the second human exchange student. But the brothers are in for a surprise, as Al Hasnawi isn't keen to take hits lying down, and he may or may not have a trick or two up his sleeve... (AKA, Al's story.)

(WIP, in prewriting) The Devildom and the Dark Sorcerer

The brothers grow fond of Eileen, the young adoptive daughter of Gaillean, a sorcerer whose power is second only to Solomon's, and a good friend of Lucifer's. But Eileen's chaotic tendencies tend to land her in mischief, and she seems insistent on dragging everyone around her into the midst of it, consciously or not. So what happens when this young lady bites off more than she - or anyone else, for that matter - can chew, and ends up the figurehead of a rebellion that could destroy the Devildom? And, most importantly for Lucifer, what will become of the exchange program in the midst of this chaos? (AKA, Lycas's story.)

I've been thinking to myself hey I maybe I should email this breeder, just bring up our potential interest in a future puppy and also I guess ask if they think their dogs could have the potential for assistance work, but first of all I might as well have never written an email in my life bc I have no idea how to go about this!!! And second of all, especially for the latter but I could always leave that out for the first time lol, if they answer negatively in some way I would likely not recover (I am not a well adjusted individual and rsd is a lovely little thing). I know myself well enough to know I would find it very discouraging and the embarrassment would probably also make it harder to contact them in the future 🥲

I've been tagged by @stars-of-kyber and @andthebubbles. 😁 So although I feel barely qualified, I guess I best do this...

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

I started about 2 months ago, so... and yes, they're all Kanthony. Initially just started as a way of contributing to Anthony Week 2023, and I didn't even expect that I'd actually do all 7 days.

2. What’s your total AO3 word count?

13,370.

Currently ranging at 661 to 3,779 per fic. Rookie numbers!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

So far, just my beloved Bridgerton.

But there have been a couple other shows that have tempted me...

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

Astride  - 166

Having published a handful with various ratings, it's quite interesting to see the kudos, bookmarks (private vs public), and subs ratios! Much to think about.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Yes.

Why... I sort of have a need? Idk, when I see a comment it's hard to just leave it hanging there and not to reply. Like irl if someone looked at something I made and verbally commented on it... and I just stared back blankly not saying anything. 😐 This is how it feels to me on the receiving end at least haha. And my replies saying various forms of 'Thank you!' is probably quite repetitive, but hey ho.

Plus comments give you that lil hit of dopamine; from both povs as a writer or reader. Being on the reader side for most of my Ao3 activities I tend to comment on most of fics I read, I can't help it - I must tell you what I loved about it and why, and there's a pleasure in reciprocating that back too. Look, now I've written half an essay on the subject, gaaah. (I've not been on Ao3 as much as I'd like to recently, and because I opened it to scoop out the stats for some of the questions above I can now see that I have some unreads... and the need is happening.)

6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Hmmm *thinking really hard*, I don't think any of them have an ending that is all that angsty. If I had to choose, maybe Temptation?

The pattern I've shown so far in my posted works is that it's gonna be 90% fluff. Though that is liable to change. 😆

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Probably Nursery?

I'm not sure, cause they've all ended on a pretty optimistic note so far. But that one has Kate and Anthony with a few of their kids, so it's the furthest on the Kanthony HEA timeline.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Not yet...

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Ummm 👀 I may have dabbled in some smut.

What kind... hm, the kind where both people are panting for each other, and end up caving because they literally can't hold their horniness in anymore (this totally explains why I went feral for Bridgerton S2, ha). Another pattern I seem to have is making Anthony a submissive man puddle.

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

Not yet, but I do have some crack ideas I may explore.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, I very much doubt it.

How often does this happen to people?

No. I'd certainly be all for it if anyone ever wanted to translate any works of mine. 😊

If I was proficient enough to write in other languages, then I would probably try publishing the different versions from the get go.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Kinda?

Nothing formal, but there was a lengthy comment thread on Reddit some months ago where myself and another user went back and forth re-writing the script for that stormy library scene 😅 (not so much re-writing what was already there, bar the last few lines, more of a continuation in a universe where Kate hadn't fled).

14. What’s your all-time favourite ship?

Must I even answer this? Kanthony, c'mon now.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

There's only 1 work that I have, where I've actually started a chapter 2. And I have all the faith that I will finish it. ✍️🤓

Other potential WIPs, that are currently just posted as one shots, only exist in my head... who knows if they will see the light of day.

16. What are your writing strengths?

This question feels illegal to be asked.

I have no idea, I'm very new to this whole writing thing. At least in terms of fiction, so I'm not sure what I'd consider my strengths to be. I feel like I need some more practice before I can get a real sense of this?

I would say that dialogue usually comes very quickly to me, and it's having to fill in the bits around it that takes more brain muscles. So that might indicate something.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Everything apart from the answer to the question above.

But really I think it's remembering that there is a world outside of the main couple happening, and trying to describe the details there. Also other general 'setting the scene' stuff like clothing, weather etc etc. I usually just want to jump straight in with some random dialogue.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

On writing it... no thoughts; not done it yet!

If I needed to for some unknown fic reason in the future, I'm sure I'll be apologising profusely in the author notes for trusting Google translate and probably butchering whatever language it is.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Still just the one so far, Bridgerton. 😌

20. Favourite fic you’ve written?

Hunt 🥺🥹 I was a lot of feels, and just very indulgent tbh.

I also really enjoyed my shortest one, Obedient, which was in 2nd person (hadn't done that before). The writing of that one was just really fun and I idky but I've reread it quite a bit!

Well, funny that you ask hahaha😅 I was just peer pressured into writing my first smutty smut (ahem Serendipity ahem), but idk if I'll do it again🙈

Ummm not quite, but there was a time when somebody had posted a chapter of a Will fic and it was suspiciously similar to the first chapter/prologue of Stargazing. Like, their MC had a similar vibes for the name, was also an artist. The structure of the chapter was very similar too - it started with MC doing the intro, then had a line break and then a basically paraphrased paragraph from my fic of how the MC walked up to the firepit. It was so bizarre... That fic stayed on for a few days and since then was removed or hidden, but I still have a screenshot of it somewhere.

🙈🙈🙈🙈 Jesus Christ. I'm struggling to write right now. I took too long a hiatus and now that I actually do have inspiration and desire to write, I open my wips that are so so dear to me and I love so so much (Stargazing and Beloved & Beloathed) and I just blank out. I get so scared trying to continue them because I feel like I'll ruin all my hard work, if that makes any sense? I feel like I don't know how to continue them. And then I get so overwhelmed that I just close the doc. And then the cycle continues and the writing pause gets even longer and it becomes even harder. But I really really don't want to abandon them because they need to get their deserved ending. Ugh. Sorry for rambling, but I think I just needed to be honest and get that off my chest.

What are your writing strengths?

I think just prose, in general. Like, descriptions of feelings/mood/scene setting and shit like that lol

What are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue. Or at least it's my biggest insecurity haha😅 and probably not getting too carried away with descriptions👀

Their accent, their subconcious reactions to things I say, their clothes and what I think could be why they wear them. Or at least, if I'm particularly zoned in. If I'm not? You could ask me an hour later what they were like and I'd be like ummm 😳

8. Scary movies or happy endings?

I can't watch scary movies lollll any gore and I start shaking violently and feeling sick, and I love movies with happy endings, but I also love love love bittersweet, cathartic, and sad endings.

Probably not. Writing isn't special, maybe? Or art? Idk it feels cliche to say stuff like that haha. I'm pretty good at identifying moths lol, maybe that? Or noticing small details? But I think that's another artist thing hehe

1. Named after anyone?

No... Not really, my parents just liked it, months after I was born my dad's cousin said that we had the same name... My dad completely forgot about them and didn't even made the connection, but yeah no, I'm not named after anyone, would like to be tho.

2.Last time you cried?

A couple of days ago, stress got the worst of me, I HATE exams, they make me feel so dumb... Also I was reading a story and I got emotional, sue me okay?

3.Do you have any kids?

Nooo, way to young for that, not really but I can barely take care of myself, not ready to take care of another human being. Plus I want to get married before even starting to think about kids, and I'm single... So no.

4.Do you use sarcasm a lot?

Maybe? Not as much as I would like to, I always think of sarcastic remarks, but I don't usually say them out loud.

5.What is the first thing you notice about people?

Probably the way they walk, or there posture, I use glasses and I can't see that far, so I started to analyze my friends walk and posture to recognize them from afar, so probably yeah, the posture is the first thing I notice, also it makes it easier to have a talk with people if I try and match their energy (usually how you stand says a lot about you, I know from experience)

6.Color of your eyes?

Brown brown brown, they are super dark, almost black, and even when I shine a light on them they just get a liiiittle bit brighter. I'm starting to like them now, I used to hate them because my dad has Grey eyes that change with the weather and my mom has green eyes with spots, they are so weird but so cool. I'm kinda still on the edge about my eyes but I think it's kinda cool how dark they are even with light shining on them.

7.Scary movie of happy ending?

Not my type of movie, sorry, I mainly watch animation, romantic comedies or action because that's all I can emotionally handle.

8.Any special talents?

Ummm... Idk probably but I'm not sure what it would be, I'm good at languages, does that count.

10.Hobbies?

Ugh they are so basic haha but like, painting, reading, I'm starting to write a bit more now and I really like it. Oh! I also like to embroider.

i don’t have a favourite shirt but i have a favourite hoodie. it’s my boyfriends hoodie it’s super oversized on me and it’s like a navy blue kinda colour. i think it’s like what you would call “acid wash” if that makes sense like it’s got lighter patches on it. idk i love it so much it used to be my boyfriends favourite hoodie but i did what any good girlfriend should do and stole it from him 😌

do you play any instruments: yeah sorta! i played flute in middle school and prob could carry a tune still and i like piano but never practice and am just okay.

Alright weird question but I have this thing where I assign my friends tags and stuff so I can find things related to them easier it's an organization thing I guess idk. Point is, what should yours be? I literally don't have any ideas. For reference, Chibi's is "sporange," it can literally be anything (that fits in the tag character limit thing).
