Someone reblogged and said it can weaken the leather inside, this has never happened to me for the year or so I've done it, but very likely can happen!! Please be cautious:) this is likely better advice for faux tails! (As most of those dont have leather middles)

Reminder for all therians who have gear/anyone with animal gear

YOUR

TAIL!!

Don't know how/are afraid to do it wrong

Here's a step by step on how I do it! (This is for real fur tails but should also work just as well for faux fur !)

Fill up a sink or a large pot with warm water, NOT boiling/hot!! This can cause the fur and hold on it to grow a lot weaker and possibly fall off

Pour in dawn dishsoap/sensitive skin laundry detergent(regular downy also works!) into the water and mix it around :)

Gently take your tail and soak it in the water, slowly and carefully running your fingers through the fur to remove any excess dirt/grime

Dump out the dirty water and refill it with slightly colder water, run the tail through this again!

Smell testing is also a good idea, step away into a better smelling room then walk in and smell the tail, if it smells bad or grimey another less intensive wash may be needed

If done, Take the tail out, lay it FLAT DOWN on a surface, do not hang dry it from its keychain if it is big or heavy, if not then feel free to hang dry!

Check on it every hour or so, in less than a day it should be good! (Depending on length:] )

And thats all!! I hope this helps anyone with gear who wasnt shure how or if to wash it:)!!

#marrsbarrs art #lethal company #oc #ocs #bud-e #it is supposed to filter out things from the air in the industrial complexes you explore #but also be a companion. it would be something you purchase btw but i think that's well implied in the text #it would be very expensive as it has multiple functions. has a built in walkie-talkie #and i mean. it's a walking air filtration system #i think maybe there would be scented cartridges you could purchase from the store that have different small passive buffs #that you could plug into them. each cartridge only lasts a round tho #also has a radiation symbol on it because it is fueled on a scrapped apparatus. repairs itself with scrap metal #also it wears the gear and looks like it because it was convenient to just use an old gas mask for the head and for at least SLIGHT staff #comfort. also it allows more convenience to wash off things and so things dont get stuck in its joints or whatevar #maybe doesnt get attacked? or at least doesnt get killed once things realize it isnt organic. works well as a solo companion possibly #anyway it is very silly and speaks in beeps and boops. to speak it uses maybe a modified form of morse #can change the pitch of the beeps #robots #tech #idk i have so many thoughts. this game is good. play it

my roommate . will not stop bringing their fucking partner over . even though i have covid. so i am standing at the fridge trying to decide what will be the least repulsive thing to eat for dinner and then the two of them come in and roommate does not say hello hi whats up or anything just makes a wordless beeline for the fridge, which i am standing at, and i have to jump out of the way like a matador being charged by a vegan bull that is trying to reach their quinoa so i take my water bottle and move to return to my room (mask on btw. havent left my room without a mask on) and narrowly dodge the boyfriend who avoids my gaze like i am the fucking birdbox creature but still for some reason decides to stand in the thin-ass hallway that i have to go down to access my little quarantine chamber but honestly it is no different to how he reacts to seeing me even when i do not have a viral illness and by the way why are you even coming over to our apartment when someone has covid why do you only ever come over to our apartment can you PLEASE Go to your own apartment. and now that i am in here i can hear them sifting through the pots in the sink and complaining that theyre tired of people not putting their dishes in the dishwasher (if you are tired of no one putting their dishes in the dishwasher you should put your dishes in the dishwasher normally this is my duty (not one we've decided by the way just one that ive taken on because i like to do dishes. genuinely) but i havent been doing the dishes because, you guessed it, i have covid) takes a deep breath. and i still dont have any dinner.

We didn't have anything really weird that was just the two of us tbh, he was a simple dog who liked simple things.

One special toy I had just for Maverick was his training toy. He didn't really like tug as a reward and I didn't really care to train with tug as a reward. He liked retrieving and I liked watching him retrieve so I made him a rabbit fur ball (shoved a rabbit pelt into a small holee roller) that he could retrieve as a reward during agility and heeling. He loved it so much.

Fiberglass nightmare update: Went to my new doc for the standard new patient visit. Asked about the fiberglass while I was there and he listened to my lungs. Told me I'll be coughing and sniffling for a week or two but as long as I don't *keep* breathing it in and wear a good mask while cleaning it up, I should be ok. So that's good news.

Also good news: found a service that will wash the fiberglass out of my clothes, sheets, and soft things. And I've gottan some good advice from ya'll about how to save my squishmallows and my stuffed Beardevil.

I've bought a good vacuum with a HEPA filter to clean up after I get some of the stuff out of my room - some that can be saved (clothes) and some that is now garbage (little armchair). According to insulation installing friend, I go crazy with the vacuum on EVERYTHING, before washing things down with hot, soapy water. If I can get it outside to spray with a hose? Even better. So that's likely what I'll do with some of my stuff, including jewelry if I can. After the first round of cleaning, I wait for the dust to settle again. Then I do it again. 2 or 3 rounds should take care of it and make my room livable again, as long as I have an air purifier and regularly vaccuum until all the dust is gone.

Until then, I get to sleep on the recliner downstairs. 🤪

ive been a little upset about it all night so i need to write out all the things that happened at work today and are bugging me so i can TRY to get it out of my head and actually RELAX bc i just keep pacing in circles around it instead of just accepting it and moving on

#for context i was working frying chicken today. ok so i arrive and literally all the chicken out expires within ten minutes of each other #meanwhile to remake everything takes about an hour 20 #tried my best to get everything out and replaced and make sure i have enough of everything and then take my break bc with chicken there are #few narrow windows to take your break in you have very little control over when it is #get back and while im getting ready for my next fry one of the assistant leaders comes back and passive aggressively asks 'everything ok?' #and when i say yeah shes starts saying how shes 'just checking' because apparently i didnt have enough chicken out for her liking and went #on about how we're in a chicken drive (I KNOW. I WORK CHICKEN SHE NEVER HAS.) #etc etc. i just say ok and she leaves #like 20 minutes later she comes fucking back to rag on me again about how i need to choose my break times better and i need to have more #chicken out there as back up (extremely difficult bc there is literally only so much room in the fryers. the batches i usually make already #nearly completely fill them up) blah blah and then when i try to explain how i WAS making pretty big batches people are just snatching them #up fast she keeps trying to walk out the door right away and keeps stopping and looking over her shoulder to just stare at me while i try t #finish my sentence #and she just. doesnt say anything in response when i do finish she just leaves #so clearly she didnt want a conversation she just wanted to rag on me #then later for cleanup the timing of everything just kept lining up inconveniently so i kept having to get in and out of raw cleaning gear #and slowing myself down and i end up having to stay almost 15 minutes late to finish cleaning #during cleaning i have to go grab a key to the back door to take out my trash and this one coworker i have was standing in the way of the #door. i say excuse me and she just stares at me and goes huh? #and i say i need a key and she barely moves out of the way without responding and she has a look like im bothering her #why are you acting like im being douchey. i just need a key. thats something she does a lot she acts like im inconveniencing her by asking #basic favors . ive stopped asking her to help me open the back door (sometimes needed if i also have raw garbage to take out and therefore #cant touch the key myself) for some reason she takes it upon herself to almost completely close the door after i walk out so when i come #back i have to awkwardly use my foot to reach around and pull the door open #ive asked her before not to do it and she just ignored me #GRAH GRAH. and then like i said in my last rb i realized while i was drivign home i forgot to wash a damn pan #im mostly worried about it because ive forgotten a couple times in the past too . in my defense its a pan i personally dont use but it just #gets left behind from first shift sometimes and then second shifters end up having to make sure its clean #im just irritateddd and im mad im worried about it all. its all little things piling up on each other #LOL I WROTE A LOT MORE BUT THE REST GOT CUT OUT IG I HIT A TAG LIMIT. tumblr voice ok dude quit your bitching !!
