To coincide with the recent release of the Crystal Creations pack I wanted to put together a couple of fun lookbooks inspired by birthstones. My mind first went to whimsigoth, but since I've already done one of those recently I instead went with the decade that oozed glittery glamour - the 1920s. Garnet was believed to be a protective stone, which made it popular amongst warriors and royalty. Red variety garnets are also associated with vitality, love and light.

I just missed talking with you about my favorite Sandman fic. 😊 As a fashion lover, I like how you described the black robe and white dress that Dream dressed Reader in for her first meeting with Lucienne and Matthew. I noticed how Morpheus seems to favor Reader wearing his colors: black and white. Can you describe the kind of clothing he prefers her in as the Queen of the Dreaming? I'm guessing whimsigoth-ish?

Reader herself has a preference for functional clothing on a regular basis, but overall, yes, her aesthetic is much more whimsigoth/witchy/alternative cottagecore. And of course, Morpheus is a Girl Husband who likes his wife in anything she likes lol.

But something that Lucienne will “teach” Reader us the importance of is fashion as a sociopolitical statement, particularly in her (soon to be) position as consort to one of the most powerful gods in the universe. I’m looking forward to writing about/posting about some of the iconic looks I have planned for reader!
