Before I head back to Rota, I will be on Saipan for a few days. Canario here (Golden White-eye) is an endangered species found only on Saipan and Aguijan, though it probably was also on Tinian and Rota in the past. Their thrush-like habits and songs are very unlike most other white-eyes.

pretty much just a redraw of my last design for her, only change is that she has two blind eyes caused by different things!

Age as of 1st arc's end: 14 cycles, 1 moon; ~72 Hyrs

Title meaning: -talon = a cat who is very skilled in battle; they fight ferociously with their claws

Warrior -> Guard Charge -> Elder of Thunder Order

Mother: Harepounce

Father: Stagleap

Siblings: Specklesnap

Mate: Leopardfoot

Character Summary:

As a kit Fogtalon contracted a horrible eye infection in one eye which left it permanently blind and cloudy. this didnt stop her from becoming one of the best warriors of the Order in her time. She even raised to the rank of Guard Charge before she retired.

Fogtalon's other eye was lost in battle but she was already close to retirement at the time so she chose to just fully retire. "Look i know I COULD still be a better warrior than most of you even if I cant see shit, but im fuckin old and tired so im retiring." - Fogtalon probably

Fogtalon had her first kit, Mousebite, with her good friend Sparrowpelt. They aren't mates, they just both wanted kits!

Fog later became mates with Leopardfoot after Star Pineheart left the Order. Fog decided to have a second litter after this with Sparrow as the sire again, this time however Leopard raised the resulting kit (Birdflight) alongside them!

Fog has a similar personality to Mousebite, they are both tough snarky ladies <3

Fog and Leopard retired to the elders den together and are two of the elders during TPB!

"Surimono are privately published woodblock prints, usually commissioned by poets or poetry groups as a form of New Year’s greeting card. The poems, most commonly kyōka (witty thirty-one syllable verse), inscribed on the prints usually include felicitous imagery connected with spring, which in the lunar calendar begins on the first day of the first month. Themes of surimono are often erudite, frequently alluding to Japanese literary classics in both texts and images.

This album belongs to a set of three compiled by Hayashi Tadamasa, the great Parisian dealer of Japanese art. Hayashi arranged the more than four hundred prints in the set on facing leaves according to themes, or in a way that created an attractive arrangement of designs, complementary in both color and shape. The pigments, printing techniques, and paper used for surimono often were of the highest quality, and represent the epitome of late Edo-period woodblock printing."

Squirrelwhisker’s family tree rewrite! Only going up to into the wild.

Changes to the family tree!!

- Squirrelwhisker and Eaglestorm now have two kits, Windflight and Harepounce. (cause u know hares are normally in windclan)

- Harepounce and Rainfur are mates, Windflight is a donor to Rainfur. Tawnyspots and One-eye are their first litter, Dappletail and Thrushpelt are their second.

- Dappletail has a short lived relationship with Stormtail and unfortunately Featherkit and Cricketkit die as kits.

- One-eye and Halftail are still mates, Mousefur and Runningwind their first litter, and Sandstorm the Baby of the Family tm

Fogtalon (aka. One-eye/ White-eye)! She looks exactly the same as her old design, I just wanted to redraw it! 

I renamed her Fogtalon a while ago and it still stands! I really like this name! I wanted her to have a name that in no way referenced her eye, since I assume she was named White after her blind eye as well since she’s gray? 

Anywaysss I really love her design I think the colors are really pretty, idk why but I just chose good colors back when I did her old design even though I had a lot more trouble with picking colors back when I first drew her lol.

The first family tree is Sandstorm's, up to Into The Wild. She is 7 moons old when the first book begins.

Changes under the cut

I've changed basically the whole tree, since Sandstorm has no known family in the books.

-she is now the only sibling of Dustpelt, i always thought they were siblings when i read the books, so i'm sticking with it

-Runningwind & Redtail are, unsurprisingly, her fathers. She and Dust were adopted, likely found under a bush somewhere.

-the tortie twins are no longer the siblings of Patchpelt, Leopardfoot, and Willowpelt. They are now identical twin siblings who were adopted by the recently kitless queen, Cloudspeckle (OC).

-Spottedleaf's suffix has changed, as she's not a medicine cat. Her name is now in honor of her mother, who is dead by ITW.

-Mousefur and Runningwind's side hasnt changed genetically, save for their adopted baby brother, Longtail.

-what has changed, however, is One-eye and Halftail's names being erased. Their now back to their original warrior names, because it was a weird ass choice in the books.

-as for the generation below them, you'll see sand's kits at some point, but dustpelt will not have any.
