how do those original character figures work? Are they characters you created yourself?
well not me lol, theres a few ways around it. Usually they're original characters a company or circle have designed themselves or bought in an artist to specifically design, but rarely theyre an adaption of an original character another artist has drawn and they have adapted into a figure, although I believe they need permission to do this. An "original character" is usually counted as a stand alone design that isn't involved in any published works and made specifically to be a figure. Once the character starts representing something (IE. Wonda-chan for Wonderfestival) or ends up getting a larger popularity theyre usually considered their own thing. Although they're technically still "original characters" the term is usually exclusive for one off characters with no particular origin. Hope this helps.
