the truly distressing effect of ADHD on writing is that often I just do Not Remember, which can make it hard to string a story together. I think that's why I can be so particularly anxious about nailing a character's tone or personality– once I've got them set in my head like a function, then I can put in the same inputs and get consistent output. but before then it feels like anything I've figured out about them might slip away when I'm not looking. Sometimes I reread my work and find I've hinted at something that I then later decided to make come true, and you'd think I planned it that way but about half the time you'd be wrong. It's just that I asked myself similar questions and got similar answers and only realized once I get it to the editing stage. it's not in my conscious mind at all. sometimes as a consequence I have to remove very similar scenes or emotional moments because I've already done them, but I guess overall it works!

After learning about the video game "CONTROL" and watching Julia LePetit-Drawfee play it, I have amended my views on brutalist architecture.

I used to think that brutalist architecture was a completely miserable and hideous style of architecture to expect human beings to exist in or around, with absolutely no acceptable applications.

But NOW I think that brutalist architecture is a completely miserable and hideous style of architecture to expect human beings to exist in or around, which is actually quite suitable for a visually striking video game about a living building that fucking hates you and is actively trying to kill you and everyone in it. ✅ ✅ ✅

I'm being silly but tbh anyone who disagrees with me can go ahead and spend 10 years commuting in the dingy gray concrete brutalist dimness of the DC metro system and then fucking get back to me.

good news in my opinion, i AM working on the weird video edit i reblogged last night! bad news is that at least half of my pictures are broken bc i changed the file extension from "jpeg" to "jpg" just to get my discord bot to run easier. makes no difference everywhere except for this program :/

#I'm secretary and PA for a medical school #and the school is so fucking disorganized idk how anything gets done there #basically every few weeks I have to do an orientation for the students and help then get assigned to go to various offices and hospitals #which requires a LOT of paperwork #if we're missing anything then it has to be resubmitted (and the school has never sent us everything we need even though it's been years) #and I also have to drive to like idk 30 different offices every week to pick up student grades #because they have to be graded by hand and sent to the school physically #and we've had upwards of 70 students at a time rotating #so that's 70 stacks of documents I have to sift through #and 70 grades I have to hand out to the doctors teaching the student and pick them up #it's a lot of computer work and a lot of driving basically #me and my co-worker used to split it but now there's only me and the medical director and manager #it's hell but the benefits outweighed the stress for a time #just not anymore #ask

i cant wait till i move again bc i used to be soooo good at feeding myself when i had more fridge/counter space .. i have a rice cooker and i would also just take an hour every week and make it an Activity to like, roast vegetable and make a whole box of pasta and put salad in small tupperware containers. and i would also put snacks in ziploc bags, both fridge (like grapes and celery or whatever) and also pantry things like popcorn n Fun Treats and stuff. and then i would JUST have that in the house. but it was fine bc everything wld have like either no prep or wld just require a couple mins in the microwave.

now that i live with family in a small space its such a free for all and the fridge/pantry are zoos lmfao.
