5. What’s a crackship you love?

Okay, I’m a bit confused with the later part about My Dumbass Soulmate for this question, but thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! (?)

I mean, I view all the queen ships besides KatAnna and Aralyn as crackships. So probably Parrlyn and Aramour seeing as I usually don’t ship crackships. I’m more of a canon or has potential to be canon kinda gal, like supercorp, lumity, bumblebey, whiterose (let me put it in canon please), TodoMomo, etc. But I do ship Coco and Velvet from RWBY and Agentreign from supergirl! I’m also into Pinkberry and Janis x Regina because of Amy lmao. Also, watch, @boleynhowards will make me hardcore ship harmonica one day. Oh and there is also strings in waiting / messie.

Oh, and Martrude!!!! How could I forget? For those who don’t know, that’s Mary of Aragon / Mary I x Gertrude, who was very close with her and historically they shared a bed quite a few times 🤭😳

Top 5 Mr Robot moments !!

I’m sorry I took so long to answer this, but I really wanted to think about it. And after all this time, I’m still not entirely sure because it all builds up to something so big and beautiful. But...

The 1x04 “daemons” episode morphine withdrawals scene where so much about Elliot/MM’s subconscious is revealed. This was a favorite before we even know what it all meant, and it holds up so well. It’s all there!!! And it’s so rewatchable. I really love this whole episode, but especially this 10 minute or so part.

Elliot’s “fuck God” speech in 2x03. I’ve watched it so many times, and the context is even better! If I can stretch this one a little bit though, I think all of 2x03 is fantastic, and especially Elliot’s scenes even the vomit one...sigh ew. But the piano and him being high as a kite and the eyes effects and all??? All leading up to this dramatic monologue. Oh I love it.

Literally all of 3x08?? I feel like it’s so important in the narrative and also hits really really hard. About forcing yourself to stay alive. It ties really well into...............

4x11, Elliot’s speech to Whiterose and him choosing life and himself and Mr. Robot and aghiofj it seriously gives me chills to this day. It’s so incredibly powerful and we just...we came so far.

3x09 complete tangent, but I love the whole fucked up but cute lead-up to Darlene and Dom’s hookup. Their scenes in S4 are better but I’m attached to this one lol.

Okay but time to share some wlw ships I adore cause its 2 a.m. and I can't sleep xx

I'll organize them so followers can skip to stuff they know

Cartoons/Animes:

The owl house

Lumity: obviously just an amazing ship, a healthy enemies/rivals to lovers queer romance suitable for all audiences, as well as some bi x lesbian support.

Ever after high

Darling x Apple: They 👏 Kissed 👏 2016ish. That is huge for that time, like yes, now there is Lumity and Catradora and etc., but back in 2015ish-2016ish it wasn't as expressed or shown in shows as it is now. And I just love the potential development they could have brought each other, especially Apple.

Rwby

Bmblb: literally they are the reason I am so comfortable with my own sexuality. They will always hold a special place in my heart for being the comfort I needed when I was questioning sexuality, and also they are gay af. Love them so much x

Whiterose: same as above, but they are less canon but still deserve so much love. Another rivals/enemies to lovers, but a bit more one-sided for the enemies/rivals part lol.

New Game!

Aoba x Hifumi: I just love how playful Abba can be with her, and how comfy Hifumi gets with Aoba. She is just so adorable and shy, and Abba brings out such a cute side of her.

Kakegurui

Meariri and Kirisaya: just very very gay, and I love them. Gambling lesbians for the win

I also like others, but these are the main ones that come to mind when I think about stuff xx

Games:

Danganronpa (dear lord are there a lot, so I limited it to the top 4)

Soapies/mahiyoko: borderline canon. Love the mean lesbian soft for one person vibe Hiyoko has, and her relationship with Mahiru makes her a better person and I just love to see that cause the poor thing has been put through so much.

Ikuzono: body guard x pop star au anyone??? Okay but seriously, the potential angst and hurt comfort is strong with these two and I love it! They are both totally underrated too so <3

Celesgiri: ENEMIES TO LOVERS!!!! ROMANTIC GAY TENSION!!!!! CRIME X SOLVES CRIME. 1000000/10. Also they are both just aesthetically pleasing next to each other. And also they are the mean bisexual x meaner lesbian meme/trope. Done with everyone's bs 24/7 and the two gay disasters who actually have braincells in their friend group.

Bandaid/tsumioda: for six fans, they are very similar to katanna vibes. Just genuinely an adorable pairing of loud and accepting gf x soft , shy, and kinda traumatized gf that can be very sweet as they give each other the love they both need and deserve. Also Ibuki is my highest kin and Mikan is my type, so bonus comfort for projection reasons.

Your turn to die

Naoreko: the domestic lesbians who adopted their autistic catboy son and have a lovely cottagecore family vibe i didn't ask for, but needed. Seriously though, if they weren't in the game they would have adopted Gin and Sara and possibly Joe and live as Cottagecore wives being supportive moms, and I love that. Also they are such a tattoo artist x flower shop owner vibe and I love that so much.

Genshin impact

Jeanlisa: oblivious x flirt who has eyes only for them. Everyone knows they are dating... but Jean.

Doki doki literature club

Sayonika: gay cottagecore vibes and very sweet gfs. Mental health rep woooo! Both deserve the world.

Natsuri: enemies to lovers, huh, who would have thought that I would of liked this trope? /lh /s

Musical theater:

Six

Katanna: literally the only thing I still have no issues with from the six fandom, these two I still adore and am proud to support as Kat and Anna both deserve the world.

BMC

Pinkberry: angry and bitchy character x literal ray of sunshine. They feel like the most likely to fit a coffee shop au on this list so xx

WATT

Kateva: Eva and Kate both are just interesting characters from a psychological and writing standpoint, so I love to think about how their relationship works out, especially since they are canon.

Live action:

Supergirl

Agentreign: haven't talked about them in a while, but I still love them. Bring sam back 2021.

Supercorp: seriously they need to be canon /srs. Otherwise, ima flip a table.

so i’ve been watching rwby

and as I’ve been doing so I’ve been posting reactions to my friends. After S5, S6, and S7, in particular, I had a lot of thoughts and opinions. More under the cut. I’m going to write fic aren’t i?

Season 5:

1. Where is the first/autumn relic?! Like, we've established that Ozpin hid it well, yet for some reason it doesn't feel like that's the whole story - given where the relic was hidden this time, in some sort of n dimentional desert (where, if you looked closely you could see similar ##chemtrails - could people just walk through that desert to get to all of them? 2. I find it hilarious that Weiss just got out of Atlas only to go back, I'm very curious as to what sort of ~~damage this reveals about her in the coming seasons, but I'm also very intrigued by how reintroducing her to her father with the rest of team RWBY will shift/alter the narrative of powerlessness that he seems t be pushing toward her. I'm esp. intrigued as to what his reaction will be to Blake (as he seems very anti-faunus). 3. WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN FOR THE #YANGST. 4. The show has been pretty constantly showing us that most of Ruby and Yang's family seems like chill folks, but the ##absentmother trope is strong here. Given that it seems like only Blake has a mom, does Blake's mom adopt everyone? 5. Blake having a fairly functional nuclear family is fascinating to me, because it makes a lot of her choices seem way more political (at a very young age) as opposed to just a kid who got in over her head with a boy who was a bit older. I'd love to know more about this. 6. as a multishipper, I hurt all over.

Season 6:

Item the FIRST: Weiss barely making it out of Atlas only to be dragged, albeit somewhat willingly back to the source of all of her ~ trauma & family drama ~ I am curious to see how this plays out and generally hope that Weiss somehow stabs her shitty dad and Draco Malfoy rip off brother while being reunited with her 100% Cooler Than U sister. Also that Cooler Than U sister works on the unresolved sexual tension she CLEARLY had with Qrow.

Item the SECOND: The show's thoughtful handling of Qrow's alcoholism and Ruby's gentle efforts to push toward sobriety without like being annoyingly moralistic about it. It could have been handled so differently and I really, really enjoyed that it was handled in the way it was.

Item the THIRD: Weiss' new red scarf. adsfajshfaksdjfhthatsgayweissaksdfhaksdjfh

Item the FOURTH: The various Poor Life Choices Salem made during our brief sojourn to the Department of Backstory. Also Jinn is amazing let's keep her around. She can join Jaune, Ren and Nora as a 4th member of their team and just hilariously be naked all the time. 10/10 would watch for hijinks adventures.

Item the FIFTH: Ozpin sulking that he got all his relationship drama put on main like that

Item the SIXTH: Jaune's gay sister and sister-in-law and their baby and and and and (idk I just loved this).

Item the SEVENTH: BLAKE AND YANG HELD HANDS AND MURDERED THEIR TRAUMA TOGETHER PRAISE JESUS AND CAN I GET A HALLELUJAH? NOW KISS.

Item the EIGHTH: My multishipper ass saw that moment between Weiss and Yang when they were stuck in the basement and I'd just like to say I would be happy to see that too.

Season 7: Item the First: Weiss has a mother. Which we all logically knew she did but that scene with her in Jacques' office was just... a lot. Also raised some very interesting questions. When will Weiss and Ruby bond over alcoholic parental figures, I ask you. On this front, I am also now supremely, supremely curious about Winter's relationship with her mother.

Item the Second: Leftist Weiss. Well we all knew that Weiss wouldn't have voted for her dad anyway, but I think the tension between Weiss's clear orientation toward helping people and government for good and her father/sister's appealing to/embodying other forms of authority (corporate/military). This also raises an interesting point of contention between Weiss and Winter, as Winter's sort of this embodiment of what I'd maybe call a conscientious soldier – where she’s clearly in possession of independent thoughts and opinions, yet also seems to want to appeal to a higher authority whenever she feels conflicted (e.g. “Ironwood is making the hard decisions so we don’t have to.”). This actually draws a very stark line between Winter and Weiss – as Weiss has always been a freer thinker, who can and does think for herself and operate from her own moral compass. The moment at the end of the season between Weiss and Winter was just so delicious as I hope (HOPE HOPE) that they’re setting up for a ~~moment of clarity~ for Winter where she has to make a decision on her own that defies orders in some way for the greater good that Weiss can see so easily. (Also, please, my good gay sisters: Hug. It. Out.)

Item the Third: Leftist Bees (well really, leftist Yang, Blake was always a revolutionary). I absolutely loved the Everyone Is Lying moments in this season, and I do hate that the Bees were the ones caught out in it first. Black and Yang telling Robyn the truth also struck me as something that the pair of them would do anyway – the only other character I could see possibly slipping and letting info get to Robyn is Weiss, but I also got the sense that Weiss understood the politics of the situation better than anyone else and because of this was playing it pretty close to the vest. The Bee’s decision really jives with their partnership. As did getting to watch them fight together so much this season, they’re evolving together, and seeing them fight in tandem is a delight.

Item the Fourth: Splitting whiterose. I like Penny. I actually love Penny. I love Penny and Roby’s dynamic. And their friendship. And how ridiculous they are. But it really struck me that how the whiterose partnership kept on getting split until the final fight against the Spice Force Five. I’m sure there’s a reason for this but I don’t like it and I won’t hear it or respond to it.

Item the Fifth: The Not Spice Girls/Spice Force Five. Love these idiots, but they’re all cops. Marrow is the most delightful of them and seems like he’s about to go on a journey similar to Winter, Harriet sucks a lot, Clover was a delightful almost rip but also mmmwhatchusay. I sort of hated the juxtaposition between team RWBY and them, with the ‘just following orders’ mentality and the lack of friendship/cohesion between these guys. I guess now Winter can join them and they so they can have their Posh Spice.

Item the Sixth: Schneewood Forest. I feel like I could write a whole elaborate backstory with these two. There’s something there – the unstoppable force meets immovable object of it, plus the idea of someone who challenges Winter’s entire belief structure just by being an okay person ~with a merry band of queers~. I feel a lot of things. I want to explore this. Stop me I am in a PhD program.

Item the Seventh: The Tinman’s Heart. Having read all of the Wizard of Oz books, as well as the Wicked series, I actually appreciate that this series is taking nods from both sources for these characters. James’s decisions are … not great but I can see his logic – well right up until the part where he shoots poor Oscar. That was just rude. Also I do love watching him fight because he’s so very, very good.

Item the Seventh: Bisexual Bobs. How very Bi of you Blake. And how useless lesbian of Yang to be all flustered about it. Please kiss.

White Instinct (snippet)

This is a fanfic I’m working on with my friend @xx-whiterose

Everything happened so quickly... They were three weeks away from finally graduating Beacon before their school was attacked, destroyed. She and Ruby had been planning for a family soon after graduation... Now, she didn’t know if her girlfriend, or even her teammates were alive. While in Atlas, Weiss learns something that changes her life forever, she’s forced out on the run as an attempt to protect the most important person in her life, but it proves to be more challenging than she originally thought.

Then she recognizes the feeling that had been eating at her for the past several minutes. She lifted her hand from the booth, turning to examine the passing crowds around her. Her eyes are immediately drawn to a younger looking woman, the red cape around her shoulders immediately sending pulses of butterflies through Weiss.

It was Ruby.

Weiss' heart skips a beat as she locks eyes with the silver ones she never thought she'd see again. She froze up, her mouth growing dry as she tried to figure out what to do. She couldn't just run, that would be far too suspicious and dangerous. She would need to get back to Iris, and she didn't want to lead anybody towards where she was.

She didn't know if she could talk to Ruby, even after all this time. At least she was alive, if this was even real. Knowing her luck recently, it wouldn't surprise her if it wasn't.

Another fear dug at her. Could she trust Ruby? She was a fully trained huntress now, after all. Would she hand her over to her family for the money they were offering? Gods know how long it would keep her safe and fed.

“Oh! Uh, sorry for staring!” Ruby apologised frantically, her voice sending embers burning through Weiss' heart, “The way you were playing with your hair reminded me of someone.”

Weiss took a trembling breath, pulling out the Mistralian accent she had been practicing recently, “It's fine.”

Weiss turned to pick up what she had managed to scavenge, still feeling those silver eyes piercing her back. She turned back to start walking back to where she had told Iris to wait.

“I'm Ruby by the way,” Ruby chirped, moving over to walk beside Weiss eagerly. Weiss' chest tightened, trying her best to avoid looking at her once partner. She knew who she was, just as well as she knew her own name. But to Ruby, now she was just a street rat trying to get along with life, “Nice to meet you, miss…?”

“Violet.”

You actually got the idea from Uncle Qrow of all people. He said it was easier to talk to people that way even when they weren’t there anymore.
