Dating Yennefer of Vengerberg Would Include

Requested by anon:

May I request some head canons about being in a relationship with Yennefer from The Witcher series?

At first you didn’t quite agree with each other

You’re both strong-willed and with big personalities

So it felt like you were constantly competing

Like you were trying to one up the other all the time

With time, however, you began to grow fond of the other

You realized how you both were pretty similar

The two of you have a lot in common

There’s still lots of competing, though

Mainly because you’re so competitive, it’s like a game

She did that? You can do that too

And the other way around as well

“I can do it better” is like an inside joke for you two at this point

A lot of playful teasing, joking and flirting

Lots of witty banter, sass and sarcasm

Always trying to impress the other

And if you outdo the other it’s either love or hate

In certains situations you’ll get annoyed, in others flirty

So you get a kiss or a glare, any of you two

People never understand your dynamic, don’t get why it’s special for you

They think you just really hate each other but are stuck together

When in reality it’s your personal way of saying ‘I love you’ somehow

Because your love language doesn’t include words

You don’t often talk about your feelings

For one, none of you think you need to in order to know

But Yenefern has opened up a little bit to you (just a little bit)

Lots of kisses everywhere

On the lips, of course

On the cheek

On the head

On the neck

On the hand (even if you get an eye roll frmo her)

Other than that there’s not too much PDA

A few caresses here and there

And very rarily holding hands

But the kisses are pretty cheeky and ardent

In private you are much closer and intimate

Even if you tease each other a lot in public

Whispering in each other’s ears almost tesing one another

Yennefer trying to show off with her magic

Being so protective of the other, fiercely so

Even from yourselves when you’re being reckless

You have seen her kick ass with her magic more than once

And you’ve taught jerks lessons in the past as well

Even if they dare to even give a bad glance

Just being a badass protective couple

Calling Yennefer names to wind her up

Like ‘Yenny’ or ‘Fer-Fer’, and it pisses her off so much

“Don’t ever call me that again” “Or what?” “Or I will kill you, Y/N”

Even if she secretly likes you calling her some of them

Fond... menaces? They’re never serious, though

No matter how serious they may sound

You love complimenting her for many reasons

First, because you enjoy telling her how you feel

Also, because she shows you that attractive smirks of hers

And maybe even subtly compliment you back

She just calls you by your name, but it sounds great in her lips

Yennefer almost sabors the sound in her mouth, it sounds better then

When Yennefer gets serious you know you’re completely under her spell

And not serious as in angry, but also as in passionate

She quickly takes control and your wish is her command

Lilac and gooseberries is your favorite smell

It has a permament effect on you, like a spell
