Broke: danny runs away from bruce wayne because he reminds him of Vlad (bad, overused, fundamentally misunderstands Bruce’s character as a whole for a shit joke)
Woke: bruce wayne doesnt remind danny of vlad masters, but of his best friend sam manson
black hair? check ✅
jewish? check ✅
richer than god? check ✅
gothic? well, mister wayne isnt himself but he lives in the most gothic city on earth so quasi-check ✅
loudly and proudly an activist for various rights including environmental and womens' rights? check ✅
im tired of the "oh danny runs away from bruce because he's rich and reminds him of vlad" give me a danny who actually likes bruce because he reminds him of his awesome kickass best friend who is also stupidly rich
like i’ve been told about the whole “oh fruit loop joke” before and i still think its a cheap, shallow joke if i’ve ever heard one that flanderizes Bruce’s character to an impressive degree. Vlad and Bruce are only comparable in the same sense that they’re both rich and Bruce adopts kids — but he isn’t doing it because of the “adoption addiction” joke, he’s doing it because he sees himself in the kids he adopts and he wants to give them better than he did. Vlad wants Danny as his son to spite Jack, they are not remotely comparable beyond that.
Like, beyond that too i highly doubt vlad masters gives his employees benefits like bruce wayne does. who canonically hires reformed villains and has various branches of medical, industrial, technology, etc in his company in order to help the people of gotham. does Vlad Masters run charities, soup kitchens, etc?? is Vlad contributing to the community? No, no he isnt.

Hi, I just wondered what your favourite part of the Fenhawke romance was? Like, a scene/moment that really made you fall more in love with him? I love your writing so much!!
Oh, that is very kind of you to say! 💗I'm glad you enjoy the things I've written. I've really been enjoying writing for this ship, especially the past few months c:
As for your question...
Man, that's tough. I have a hard time picking one thing---I mean, *gestures to all the fic* you know? But I can narrow it down to a couple of scenes/elements:
The fact that a romanced Fenris still calls you "my friend" even after the act 2 romance scene. This is just...the bedrock of their relationship to me. Yes, that night went very poorly (understatement, I know), but at the core they are friends and he trusts Hawke in a way he's likely never had the cause or opportunity to trust someone before. I believe he never stopped loving Hawke, and it was a matter of laying those feelings out and understanding them one at a time. Romantic love not replacing platonic love or eclipsing it, but building or twining together is just... *chef's kiss* that's the good stuff.
The moment during the romance conversation in Act 3 when you can see Fenris go from hoping (painfully hoping!) that there is still some way he and Hawke can be together to actually believing it will happen. There is a shift in his body language that I could watch (and...have) over and over.
The element of choice? This is not going to be coherent, but the fact that he is learning for the first time what it means to have options and preferences, and he spends a lot of time exploring and understanding himself...and after all of that, the thing he keeps coming back to is Hawke. I think it's gorgeous. A song with refrains of pain or fear and choruses of decision and hope. He's loyal to a fault, in many ways, but understanding how much of himself exists to share and then still choosing to share it is just...man. I said this wasn't going to be coherent lol, so there you are. "If there is a future to be had..." like he doubts its existence but he's willing to chance it for Hawke. Man.
But, honestly? I've played DA2 a lot of times and never romanced another character, even though I've played through multiple romance storylines in each of the other games. I can't shake the Fenris romance. Every time I open a new playthrough, I tell myself that this is the time I'm going to romance Isabela, and every time Fenris rips that dude's heart out and I just......alright, yeah. Okay. Here we go again.

god i could write a whole essay about sao abridged and why it became such a cultural phenomenon and why it’s held its relevancy compared to other abridged parodies from the same time and also why the shift in internet culture has completely warped what sao abridged originally was and

Honestly I need more of Himiko being so baffled by Shoto's blood and Amnesia!Dabi is the perfect opportunity for that.
"Oh I keep getting transformations that tell me one half of your genetics clearly I'm just having a though time with multi-colored hair and eyes! Even though I don't have this problem with the rest of the siblings....."
"Okay so I know you /say/ you're not trans, but half the time when I bite you I get 'girl'??"
"You're blood type is O???? But??? Your dad is AB????"

I’m not done talking about Jane Doe from the musical Ride the Cyclone. Not only does the actress has the range darling, Jane Doe as a character is so good. Doesn’t have any memories of who she was because of her decapitation, The Amazing Karnak doesn’t know who she is because out of the 6 teens that died on the ride she was the only one that didnt get a fortune from him, her choir members don’t really know her either since she join at the last minute, no parents claimed her, and the only person that knew who she was died from a heart attack 7 hours after the incident so he couldn’t identify her. Everyone’s songs were about who they were, what they truly wanted to be, and their feelings but Jane’s song was just about how she just wants to know who she is because how can you sing about who you are or what you truly want to be when no one, not even you, knows who you are? Not to mention her song is so beautifully haunted (which also describes her character too imo). Her head in the weird purgatory place Karnak put them in is the head of the doll she carries around, the doll has no head and Jane looks very doll-like. And don’t even get me STARTED on the “can I be Savannah with the greenest eyes?” Because I will start crying. She was the reason I even watched this musical. I saw the Ballad of Jane Doe song clip and instantly went “she has such a beautiful voice…. The song indicates she has a tragic story. I must see this musical”. I recommend watching it just for Jane Doe alone, the whole musical itself is amazing and funny.
